Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

The food was very subpar, which I expected. I had to bus my own table to sit down and had to wait about 5 minutes for plates of any kind at any of the stations. I'd be more understanding if it was the lunch rush and they were near capacity, but they were maybe 40 percent full and had no service anywhere to be seen and wait times that shouldn't be for a fully staffed buffet. I don't think there will be a next time.

Look... You get what you pay for. If you are expecting amazing gourmet pizza, you are going to leave disappointed. However, if you want cheap pizza to fill up on, this place is great. Salad, pizza , pasta, and some nice sweet snack pizzas. Pretty good place to satisfy a craving. Good place to stuff the kids too.

  • Gary B.

Only took the kids running the place 18 minutes to notice we were there and wanting to pay and eat. The salad bar was filthy. Pizza buffet was fair but the pizza crust could be used for garden path walking stones. The pasta was OK but again stood and waited an awfully long time for someone to come serve the pasta, which I guess gave me time to decide which type and sauce I wanted, several times. After we ate and sat and visited I noticed every table in the place was piled with dirty dishes and not a single person working there was doing anything to clean them or the floors under them. Personally I'll never return and wouldn't recommend anyone else eat there either. I'm just not a fan of eating in a pig pen and would have left but we were there as guests of others.

Yuck! Pizza is dry and has no flavor. Salad bar isn't full and stocked up. All if the food stations were messy. :(

  • Neight C.

Family friendly atmosphere here. Friendly staff. Pizza is not the greatest but ok for the price. Be sure to hit the pastas and try their sauces!!!!! Theyre very good. Dessert pizza and apple beer are encouraged to taste as well.

  • Natalie D.

I guess it's what you'd expect a pizza buffet would be...wasn't impressed with the quality or the flavor or pizza and I wouldn't waste time with the dessert pizza...overall just a "blah" experience.

  • Mystique S.

We went at a pretty busy time and had to wait, which is expected on a busy night. The staff was super friendly and the pizza is the same as at other locations, yummy! This location seemed to only have two types of dessert pizza, where as I've been to locations that had more. Also, while we were there, it was insanely hot! Like the AC was either broken or not on. My whole family got really sweaty. That is the only thing keeping this from a perfect rating. Still a family fav when going out to eat

  • Koshoni S.

Imagine chucky cheese with a salad bar, and somehow even more screaming children. The salad bars descent, the pizza is mediocre as is the pasta. My wife and I still go here on occasion and its cool they have a number of gluten free pizza options! And some unique toppings as well. But it seems like everytime we go in there they've raised the price again.

Great place to have fun and eat, the desert pizza's are great. They are also supporters in the communities. Big fan of the people at PPC.

    (5)
  • Mal L.

I love the variety and there are lots of original pizzas. The flavor is good, but the crust is waaaaay too tough. It's obviously overcooked. The salad bar is where it's at. Always fresh and very clean. Good variety here!

  • Shauna D.

It's great priced for a buffet type. Ok salad bar, good pizza & pasta & yummy pizza desserts. It gets super crowded & hard to walk around to the different food bars. Don't go on a weekend. It's hard to find seating & there's tons of kids. It's a place where ppl take the WHOLE family & sports teams. It needs to have a bigger location.

    (3)
  • D H.

Used to be one of my favorite places to go. This location disappoints and I won't be returning. Plates are disgusting. Seriously has leftover crap all over them. Pizza is sub par and salad bar looks like it's old. Also weird set up where you have to lean over food to get others.

    (2)
  • Ted L.

Disappointing. Wasn't bad, bot not likely to return. Food was plain, lacked flavor, and not very fresh. Basic choices.

    (1)
  • Randall S.

Great place if you love eating tons of stale pizza and over cooked pasta! Probably also good for large families who genetically have lost the ability to taste. You don't go to this place for a tasty meal, you go because you haven't eaten in a week and hey, it's better than eating dirt.

Clean, nice staff, kid food. When the kids gotta eat RIGHT NOW!

  • Chad L.

Great pizza, especially the dessert pizza. Clean, friendly service. It is a pizza buffet located in a strip mall and it rocks! Price of admission includes a modest salad bar, 2 tiers of pizza and bread sticks and a pasta station. There is definitely something for everyone.

  • Mark G.

My wife would give this 3 stars, my daughter even more. Me? 2 stars. Pizza is heated by lamps and you have to reach your arm over an older pizza to steal a slice of a fresher one (which makes you feel like a jerk, btw.. "I'm too good for your 20 minute old pizza and I paid $10 to be here"). The place feels like mom and dad just ordered a big meal at home but there's only a few pieces of dark chicken meat to go around, so everyone has to stick their fork in it and get some before you're only left with vegetables. There are about 10 kids per adult running around and that's just the staff. The kids that are eating there really run the place and I wouldn't doubt it if some have been there all day long: dropped off by their parents Saturday morning to just graze and run around for hours. I kid about that but I'm not joking when I say that my wife told me she doesn't want another child after seeing that place (even though we only have one now).

  • Bud H.

This place is a pizza, pasta and salad bar buffet. It's certainly not going to win any foodie awards, but for a buffet, it's okay I suppose. The salad bar is fresh and has a wide-array of toppings, there are tons of different types of pizzas (all the usuals and some that are unique) and there is an assortment of pasta with a good variety of sauces. They even have plenty of dessert pizzas. Average pizza when you get it straight from the oven. A bit below average when it's been sitting there for a while. Good bang for your buck, though.

  • Kimberly M.

Cheap pizza buffet, with Some decent options on the salade bar. Kids love the desert pizza, as do all the other kids at this place. Employs high school kids who are cute and fun, working hard. They have pizza of the month, made to order. Dumbest thing about the place: one bathroom for each gender, so always a wait and paper on the floor. Greatest thing: kid friendly to the max.

  • Preston W.

We came early on a Saturday to avoid the rush. The problem is when it isn't very busy they just don't put much food one. One trip to the buffet only had 2 pizzas out (neither of which our kids would eat). Garlic knots either never came out or were always gone the second they did if so. The manager said they ran out of food because the workers were late for their shifts. The food is pretty good and we've enjoyed it in the past but if you go at 4:30 on a Saturday make sure you aren't in a hurry.

  • Ryan M.

Cheap, medicore pizza in huge quantities. Pros: The food is average for a buffet, and the price is good. The variety of pizzas looks great on the surface, but the end result is really underwhelming. Cons: The atmosphere is possibly the worst I have ever seen. Parties of 12 kids stuck at an 8 topper, over flowing into other parties seating. Dirty floors, rude people, and a staff that doesn't seem to care.

This is the best pizza buffet I've been to. The pasta bar adds variety and the carbonara is awesome.

  • Lindsay K.

    Great pizza, pasta and salad.

  • Kirsten L.

Yes, its a pizza buffet, but this one does it pretty good by having lots of different options beyond the standard pizza toppings. Nothing spectacular, but everything was good and the dessert pizzas were pretty yummy. Good pasta selection too but nothing I would go back for. Overall, for the price its definitely a good value. Employees were all very nice. Lots of kids running around but that is to be expected at a place like this.

  • Curtis G.

The quality of the food here is about as good as other pizza buffets that I've experienced, but they have some pretty creative combinations of toppings that are rather unique, including a buffalo wing flavored pizza. Their pasta bar was a step above their competitors', with someone cooking your pasta to order and letting you put whatever sauce you want on it. The price is right, so overall not a bad experience, but I found nothing to rave about.

I generally like this place and I'm sure I'll be back. It's family friendly, not too hard on the wallet and pretty tasty. I agree with what someone else said that it is packed and they may need to expand. We went on a Saturday night, and there was a waiting list for at least 30 mins. While we were there they were accommodating a family gathering of probably four tables, as well as a basketball team of about the same. While in line I was glad to receive breadstick bites to snack on (especially my kids were grateful!). They layout of the place is fine, but for such a busy place I think it could be better. The pizza was yummy and I enjoyed several different kinds. My brother commented that he never thought he would like a potato pizza, but actually loved it. The dessert pizzas were delicious too. I noted later my jaw felt tired from all the chewing, and I thought it was just me, but my husband also said that he felt the pizza dough was a little too chewy. Oh and they have like a pasta bar where you can select the kind you want (then they 'freshen' it for you) and serve what sauce you like (I think there's 5 or more choices). One of the best things they have there is the Balloon Lady. She works for tips. For someone with kids it's so great to have something to distract the little ones for a while so you can finally finish your plate of food. My 3 year old still has her kitty balloon, and of course my one year old popped hers before the balloon lady had even gone from out table, but that's just how it is. I was totally fine with it. We'll be back again I'm sure. I think they send out mailer coupons to the area. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but good enough to come back again. Great atmosphere, we enjoyed it.

Yikes. This lunch left me wanting less. In general I dislike all you can eat buffets so consider this review slightly biased. The salad bar was adequate to borderline fresh. There was a wide selection of heat-lamped pizza. The desert pizza just made me queasy, oreo cookie drizzled with something pasty white.

  • Jared C.

I went here on a business lunch last week and the food was good not great. However the price vs the quality is one of reasons I'm giving it five stars. The other is that the manager over heard my business partner say which kind of pizza was his favorite and without saying anything he made a fresh specialty pizza just for us. Above and beyond service deserves high marks. Thank you for a quality experience.

  • EGuru ..

OK. So I previously mentioned that I love this place. I have to amend my statement and point out their Big flaw. They are too packed. This location is thriving so much that in my opinion they actually need to expand. I arrived early several times recently and tables were hard to find. When I left tonight there were literally people lining up outside to get in. PPC IS the next big thing. And everyone should check it out.
