Blue Lemon is to food what Old Navy is to fashion. If you pride yourself on not being too picky, and you want your food served up in a setting designed for Instagram photos, this is the place. But, if, like me, you pine for delicious food in north Utah County, Blue Lemon is an overhyped disappointment.

Good, fresh ingredients. Menu is pretty good, not as creative as I had heard. Clearly not a 4 star restaurant, but for its type--a nicer, $10-15 /plate joint in Highland, it works. We've been many times, both to dine in and take out. Staff are energetic.

Relized today that this is cafeteria style.. We went at 8:30 pm and really questioned how long that food had been sitting out. Last two times here were not good. Lemon grilled chicken blt was so bland - and totally not grilled. Its more like boiled chicken. Mac and cheese was too saucy and thick, apples from the apples and dip were wet and soggy!! How long does an apple need to be sitting out to get soggy? Fish tacos were also bland and just plain chewy. Had to be from frozen fish. I like the sweet potato fries but I left sick to my stomach. Fettuccini was okay, but way too much sauce to noodles. Salmon was actually delicious, same with the turkey avocado sandwich. I would say the food is hit or miss.

Dont have to many bad things to say about Blue lemon. Everything is fresh and delicious. However, for what you get, prices can be a little steep.

We have been regulars at Blue Lemon for years. I'm frankly in awe that anyone had a bad experience here. We have had almost everything on the menu and my basic synopsis is you get 4-star food for 2-star price. The butternut squash soup is phenomenal (tastes like pumpkin pie). We love this place because it's one of the few places that we're not be to order something new, because everything is consistently good . The atmosphere is fun and it's nice because we can enjoy quality food without the long wait of a traditional restaurant.

Food is ok. Definitely not worth what you pay. Decor is the best thing about the place which is sub par. Won't be coming back anytime soon.

Great clean food. Love just about everything on the menu. Sweet potatoe fries with uniquely yummy dipping sauce a must to start and don't forget a sweet treat!

I've been here several times because it's convenient. Squash soup is good but almost a dessert. Everything else is just average. The breads on sandwiches is like a loaf from the store.

Went there for he first time today. Cashier was great. Food came out quickly and tasted fresh. I shared half of the turkey bacon avocado (on white ciabatta) and the black and blue burger--both were very delicious with full flavors. The sweet potato fries were yummy too. I'm definitely going back to try their Fettuccine Alfredo; that looked very good.

I love getting fresh ingredients and good food without reservations or waiting to be seated. Artichoke sun dried tomato chicken dish is very tasty, also we love the chicken balsamic panini. Salmon and ahi are also great. Yummy salads and sweet potato fries. My husband always enjoys the fish tacos. It is worth the drive and price to have great food.

We have been here many times and it has been good, not great but decent. After tonight we will not be back. Although they do a great job portraying as a healthy, fresh restaurant the food lacks. We ordered the chicken pesto flatbread, as well as the mushroom flatbread, both were cold. We sent them both back only to be disappointed again, the mushrooms tasted as if they were sautéed days ago and pulled from the refrigerator, and the chicken tasted like it was purchased from a cheap deli. You can always count on the soup because it is prepackaged and is just warmed up. I feel terrible writing this review, because in the past, I did enjoy eating here. Sorry Blue Lemon, you are becoming old fruit.

My wife and I go to the Blue Lemon about once a month, because it is fantastic. She loves the salmon and my favorite is the balsamic chicken panini sandwich with tomato soup.

This place is so hit and miss. I've had a great sandwich here, a gross slimy black salad, decent soup, and hummus that was lumpy, gray and bland. The braised short rib (sandwich or entree) is really just pot roast but still tasty. I also like the chicken panini. Some people call this place 'chick food'. I think it's California-esq (fresher, lighter fare). Lunch is super busy around 12:30 but they're not slow just can be hard to find a table.

  • Mandy A.

They claim to be a health food restaurant, but nothing is healthy. I don't really "get" this restaurant. Most people seem to feel the same. It's been empty the few times I've been...

  • Matt S.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Dale Murphy loves the place .. that's all I need to know :-) I had the pineapple beef sandwich with sweet potato fries (really cooked well) and a friend and I also tried the new pulled braised beef plate they were offering. Wow, some of the most amazing and tender shredded beef I have ever had in my life. Other things that looked good: tomato soup, veggie sandwich (asparagus and tomato and cheese - or some type of sauce) LOOKED AMAZING! If I lived in Utah I would be here ALL THE TIME!

  • Andy C.

The people at the register are almost always very friendly and helpful. Great salmon. The spinach and pear salad was awesome! The butternut squash I get every time it is like dessert so you can start right off with that if you want to be "begin with the end in mind." The only challenge is that if you have more than 1 person at your table they tend to bring out the food in random order spaced 3 to 4 minutes between each visit so if you want to be polite at all, your food is cold by the time the whole table has been served.

This place sells a variety of toasted sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts and entrees in a chic and upbeat environment. I came here for a Bridal Shower luncheon and am in love with their menu and desserts. The sweet potato fries are good with their mysterious BBQ sauce. Another girl ordered steak and it looked so good, I wanted her plate. Too bad she ate it all. You have to try their fruit cookies, so delicious. I ordered two more of these to-go and they disappeared in seconds. Also, I prefer this location in terms of noise level compared to the City Creek location which is incredibly noisy all the time and it feels like you're in a cafeteria than a restaurant however, this place was a bit difficult to find.

We often drive past Blue Lemon on the way to our in laws, and we had always wondered what it was. We finally stopped in and were completely impressed. The food was fresh, healthy, and perfectly portioned. It was just enough to feel "just right", not over stuffed, though with how tasty it was it would have been easy to keep on eating. We even ordered one of the sugar cookies with the pink frosting, which tasted amazing (really we should have ordered two). Service was fast and friendly, our meal didn't take long to come to the table at all, and the atmosphere is really modern and fun as well. It is a bit more expensive, but of course you are paying for the healthier options, which is always going to cost you more. We would love to go back again and try some of the other meals. The sandwiches looked huge and really great!

Great food, not expensive for what you get, Quick. Great place for a date. You walk in and order and then sit down and eat.

Very tasty, a little expensive for Utah County and what you get. I'll visit again.

  • Alex H.

Not overly impressed. I've come here a few times, each time hearing rave reviews just prior to going. And each time I come away with the same feeling of, "Why did I just go there?" The food always seems either bland or over-flavored, no happy medium, the tables smell like bleach, the atmosphere is not great, it is LOUD, and I continually feel like I probably had this food at a cafeteria at some point in my life. With the ideals of sustainable and local foods that the Blue Lemon has built their reputation on, the food could be stellar, with only a little work. I'll probably end up going back, because I do like the idea of the place, and if anything, I hope that the food gets better so they do succeed.

    (2)
  • Matt R.

The food is pretty good, if you like the style. Everything seems kind of healthy. I'm more of a burgers and fries kind of guy, but my wife loves the place

  • Aaron J.

I've been here several times and it's okay. Not great, not bad, but okay. This is what's good: Interesting recipes, consistent food, a la carte menu, a focus on sustainable products, and the portion sizes - which are normal and not built for three. This is what's not so good: The wait - they take forever, they forget things - on multiple occasions, and it's loud - you might as well be at the DMV listening to all the screaming babies.

Blue Lemon will do in a pinch. Not an overwhelmingly good experience, but not bad either. I tried the Fiery Fish Tacos. The combination of two types of fish and shrimp blended well and were really quite good. But, where was the "Fiery" part? No heat at all! The tacos were served with a honey flavored mayo and a little salsa fresca. Far from fiery! And, does something really count as a taco just because it is served with a tortilla? My wife had the Citrus Seared Atlantic Salmon. The fish itself was fresh and flavorful. She wasn't overly impressed with the citrus sauce, but the accompanying risotto and spinach were tasty. Based on the food alone, I'd give Blue Lemon somewhere between two and three stars. The atmosphere was nice, taking them to a sold three.

After spending the morning at Timpanogos Cave National Monument we were pretty hungry and in need of a good healthy lunch but we didn't want to take too long because we had a busy day planned still. If I remember correctly, this place is pretty much in the first commercial district as you come out of the national forest headed back towards the city. I had actually gone into a mexican place to check out the menu but my husband was doing some "Blackberry recon" from the car and thought that this place sounded right up my alley, and it was in the same plaza we had already stopped at. Winner! He was right. They had tons of healthy things on the menu and most of what we ordered was delicious. The only complaint I had was that the soup was too salty. I don't remember which soup it was, it was the soup of the day and not one on the regular menu. Beyond that, we had the artichoke, chicken & tomato panini and it was soooo good; and the fish tacos, which were OK but not phenomenal. Also their kids menu had a lot healthier and more interesting stuff than most places. We actually ordered from it whereas most places we do not because the food is all boring, industrial and fried. Their kids menu was fun presentations of decent food that they actually made. One of the kid's plates had mashed potatoes on it and we all fought over them. After we were done we shared a smoothie from their cafe counter and it was good too. Our meal was not as quick as we would have liked (but with three kids in tow a meal rarely is.) Probably a little quicker than if we had gone to more of a sit-down place but not by much. However it was nice to get a healthy and interesting lunch on the road. If we lived nearby we would come here often.

Excellent fresh dishes. Smaller portions, but everything is delicious. Be sure to get an appetizer. And the fresh sweet potato fries are epic.

I really wanted to like this place, with its upscale, organic food in a casual setting. I'd also heard some good reviews from friends. But my first visit will be my last, as I was not impressed at all. The beef short ribs were dry and overcooked and not pleasant to eat. The carrots and potatoes with it weren't good either, overcooked and sad looking. The sweet potato fries would have been okay if they had been fresh, but they were cold. My friend has the butternut squash soup which she liked, until the croutons were gone and then it was just blah. She also had the artichoke and tomato chicken, which I had heard good things about it and she really liked it - hence the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. Very disappointing overall. Good concept, not good food.

Blue Lemon Bistro has a different philosophy than most places -- they serve fresh food using gourmet recipes, and provide regular portion sizes. The menu is entirely a la carte, so don't expect to order a main dish that comes with sides, a salad, and bread. Instead, you pick exactly what items you want from a menu that includes salads, soups, sandwiches, entrees, and sides. In addition to their regular menu, they also have daily specials that are planned out a few weeks ahead, and you'll find yourself jotting down notes so you can make plans for another visit. They also have a not-so-ordinary kids menu. Some of my favorites include the raspberry chicken salad, grilled balsamic chicken panini, and the chipotle pineapple BBQ brisket sandwich. I've only been disappointed by the blue lemon portobello burger -- it was a tasty Vegetarian dish, but just wasn't very filling. The desserts are pricey for a small sampling, but very good.

Everything I have had on the menu is delicious. I loved the Cusabi Shrimp salad, however they don't carry that anymore. The sweet potato fry dipping sauce is delicious. The atmosphere is a little stuffy. Mainly the clientele. I can't stand the fact they charge so much for soft drinks. Frankly, every price on the menu is inflated. Seems to me one is paying for the ambiance. I do like to walk out of there feeling like I ate something healthy for a change. Great food.

Was skeptical about this place because it's new, but after putting the Chicken with Artichoke bite in my mouth I was SOLD! The mashed potatoes were fluffy and light, yet tasty. I like that they're green (lots of recycled supplies) and I can refill my drink as much as I need to (it's cafeteria style seating). I have a couple friends who frequent this restaurant (I'm from out of town) and they have amazing taste in food. They say everything is great (the giant burrito is a fav).

    Overpriced. Small portions. Very disappointed.

  • Mark G.

This place is over hyped. Ordered chicken and it came out quickly but dry and over cooked- I could tell the meat had been re-heated so I sent it back and asked for a fresh one. Took much longer this time (thankfully) but the overall taste of the meal was not impressive. Overall experience was poor.

    (2)
  • Amanda J.

I search high and low for salads, and this place offers the best salads a girl could ask for. It is a little more expensive than most order at the register restaurants, but their food is high quality and worth every penny.

  • Liz S.

This place is everything that is wrong with Utah County. Seriously people, get over trendy things simply because they are trendy. This place is NOT good. I went with a group of 7 people, tasted every meal, and was not remotely impressed with anything. No one in my party was, and none of us will be back. The only redeeming thing was the sweet potato fries.

    (2)
  • becky r.

Posh modern atmosphere and healthy fresh foods! Try the cream of asparagus soup if they have it. The fruit salad in mint vinaigrette is also really tasty. They have a bakery with muffins, scones, cookies, cupcakes, and tarts and a restaurant section with dinner and lunch options. Don't get the butternut squash soup unless you like really sweet soups. Also, note that this restaurant is a ways off the highway- not very ideal unless your wanting a long distance dinner or unless you like in Highland.

  • Jessica Z.

I like their healthy cooking. I definitely felt the price was right. The sweet potato fries were delicious! I also got the blt which was amazing! Definitely recommend!! The only downside is that it's pricey.

I would give Blue Lemon a five if they were a bit more consistent. Some nights the food and service are excellent, while others it feels a bit more like every other fast-casual establishment. However, I do dine there frequently since there isn't the greatest selection of comparable restaurants in the area.

  • Kerri T.

This is a good place for a fast and tasty food option. The beet salad was creative and flavorful. The food is fresh without over flavoring it, but over priced for what you get.

A Tale of two meals We don't live near the Blue Lemon and have heard good things. We were in the area, and stopped in for dinner. What she had: A beet and arugula salad. It was perfect! great to look at, delicious, ample size, really just perfect. What he had: The braised short rib special. When asked the cashier/order taker didn't know what it came with. Not a huge deal. The dish was short ribs, roasted root veg., and polenta cakes. Short ribs, A OK! Kinda hard to screw those up. The veg was overcooked and dry. Virtually inedible. The polenta was just ok, sure would have been better with a sauce, gravy, jus, something else on top. The restaurant was cool to look at, wait staff and the help in general was friendly and helpful. I would recommend you try this place and if you do, go for the salad!

I am excited that the business is picking up (I never want to see a restaurant that I enjoy closing down), however it is a shame that the quality if food has declined with the increase of customers. The artichoke dip was salty with stale bread. My daughter's chicken was overcooked and dry. If I hadn't paid the high prices, it wouldn't have been such an issue. I even tried the restaurant again after my first bad experience, unfortunately the second time only confirmed that Blue Lemon is not what it used to be...what a shame.

    (2)
  • Kim B.

It's hard to find healthy options sometimes, especially for kids. My kids really liked their mac n cheese and the chicken skewers. It was just enough. The food options were fresh and healthy. I had the corn and basil soup with the artichoke dip..... both were pretty good. I will go again, but i agree with another reviewer on "the bad". But, stuff like that doesn't always bother me so much. Prices seemed fair. If you're looking for something easy and healthy, this will do. I'll go back, but not raving about it either.

My wife and I have frequented this place many times and the food has always been consistently excellent. At first I thought the portions were going to be too small but I have always come away satisfied and recommend this place to all of my friends.

Blue lemon has great food! However having the kitchen upfront is a little load and I did hear one of the cooks raising his voice towards another cook witch was annoying.

Good enough. I got the fish tacos. I wish the tortillas were a bit fresher but the fish was tasty.

Blue Lemon is a new place in between Alpine and Highland. I have eaten there twice and my experience has been good each time. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the Alfredo pasta and both were pretty good. I wouldn't say it's amazing food, but it's good and the sweet potato fries are pretty good as well. There are a lot of women in the place and not as many men so it's probably a great place to meet ladies if you are single. Only complaint is the service sizes are not that big, but that's probably a good thing.

After much debate on where to eat dinner my mother and I decided to try the blue lemon. The bistro is set up like a semi-fast food restuarant where you order and pay and take a number, the decor was cutesy and full of blue and lemons. I ordered the steak which itself was cooked to a perfect medium, however the mashed potatos were flavorless and dry. My mom had the fettucine that they served with a BURNED balsamic reduction. It was the first time I've ever had something completely inedible at a restaurant. The employee was rude about it and did not comp my mother's meal, but she did give her a piece of cake. They do have blue sky soda in the soda fountain which I did like. I will not be going back to the blue lemon. Oh and the hummus sucked too.

Very fast and delicious. I had the tomato soup, my husband the turkey sandwich, and the hummus was great.

Consistently good food! Healthy eating with fresh ingredients. Funky, cool, comfortable atmosphere I might expect to find in California. Lunch hour is busy but not too busy. Daily specials are always good. Worth a trip.

Unusually cool place, great prices and healthy food. I recommend the Portobello burger with sweet potato fries. Also the soda fountain is worth it's own visit. Be sure to patronize this local gem.

This place is great. I had an issue once with how I was billed and the owner went over the top to make it right for me. They have excellent food, fair prices, a great atmosphere and they are committed to doing it right. This is a great place for healthy GOOD food in a society filled with unhealthy options.

I've been to Blue Lemon twice. My wife loves it. I recommend the sirloin. Also they serve red, purple and white potatoes that add a different texture to your meal. Excellent food and service. And I get a discount woth their app!! Awww yaah!

  • Zuhadi Z.

This place is good for lunch. You browse the menu while queuing to the counter, order, sit, eat and leave. Not that you cannot linger after meal. I like the modern no nonsense setting. Everything looks bright and almost zen. Totally matches the food they serve here. Since I was trying to eat healthy after endless BBQ grills food this summer, I went for the Oriental Salad (also partly this is an obvious choice for the Asian in me). I normally don't like green vegetables but when you add toasted cashews, Thai noodles, crispy wontons and sesame seeds with the boring green leaves, you get a winner like this. It was fabulous! I like how the green vegetables and crunchy stuff complement each other in every bites. My friend had the same dish and he liked it as well, although he did ask for an extra serving of dressing. I don't blame him. The honey ginger dressing is delicious! I will totally come here again. Probably after my yoga class.

We had breakfast here last week. I had the steak breakfast tacos and they were suburb. The steak was tender and the rest of the fillings were fresh and tasty. The potatoes that were served as a side were excellent. I also had the strawberry smoothy which was delicious but was tart instead of sweet as I expected. But that was my expectation and not a criticism of the drink itself. Over all I would recommend for a good breakfast.

I really want to give Blue Lemon a five star every time I'm there, but I always seem to find reasons not to. I love this place. Great environment, good feel, healthy "tasty" menu choices. From appetizers through dinner, to desserts, I'm always wowed. Favorite dishes are the Salmon, the hummus/veggie tray, the curry (when they have it on special), the butternut squash soup, and the meal I most want to like there is the ahi. So here's the problem. Every time I'm at the restaurant I'm disappointed by something... EVERYTIME. It's like they just can't fire on all cylinders: Breakfast... I've never been there where they haven't burnt something and had to open all the doors to get the smoke out. Three Times!!!!! It's ok in the summer, but when it's freezing outside... This kills my "professional business breakfast". The sweet potato fries... Is it a competition to see how soggy you can make them each day. The Ahi: again the dish I want to like. Could you please charge a little more and get a little higher grade sushi. Only one time has it not made me gag. I keep getting it, because when it's good, the flavors in the entree combine to something amazing. Ya just gotta get the fish right!!! Love the Level Up that handles multiple cards. (Frequent diner program, download before going). Thank you for the refreshing restaurant. You have raised the standard for good food.

I'll give a feedback about their Blue Room. We held our office's post-holiday party at their Blue Room. Everyone's first time and were surprised how the place looked fancy and great. It's a perfect venue for wedding receptions and maybe even some family gatherings or any other celebrations. The staffs are very prompt, efficient and helpful. We had a great time and definitely one venue we'll consider for any of our personal/family gatherings.

  • Amy D.

Worst customer service and pricing ever!!! I'm including a photo what $500 catering included. They were supposed to cater a lunch after my daughters wedding before the reception. THEY FORGOT!!! After waiting for an hour we called. The girl knew who we were when we called then we hear at her yell at someone in the back because they forgot. They hurried to put some sandwiches and salads together but said it would take a lot longer if we wanted the fruit (that was previously paid for). In the end the food finally arrived (less the fruit) 2 hours late. The guy who delivered it tried to make it sound like he was doing us a favor. Needless to say I will tell everyone I know to never go to Blue Lemon and about the horrible service we received. I wish I could give negative stars.

  • Brett R.

This place serves Fresh delicious food. I have been here now several times and have never been disappointed. They are consistent in how they prepare the food.. The Chicken Alfredo is some of the best I have ever tasted. Everything here tastes good and homemade. I would recommend the Blue Lemon to anyone. And it is not over priced at all. If your in Highland and hungry this is the best choice in town.

Love love love everything on the menu. So fresh and delicious every time. Probably eat here 1-2x per week.

Like other reviews I've seen here, I want to give this place more stars due to the ambience and the aesthetic of the meals, but the food is honestly mediocre at best. I've tried everything from sandwiches to fish and pasta, but everything I get is usually cold and lacking in flavor. Now, I'm not sure if the Blue Lemon in Salt Lake is better, but as for this location, you end up with bland food that is trying too hard to be high end.

    (3)
  • Eric J.

After several visits to Blue Lemon I can honestly say that their food is mediocre. The menu describes the items well and your anticipation builds as you wait for the food, only to be left with a blandness that is stark and disconsolate. The three star rating is only because their staff is warm and friendly and the ambiance is a fun, modern cafe style.

Butternut squash soup is my must have. The salads are killer and everything is presented well. By far the best place in the Highland/Alpine area.

  • Josh I.

I asked what the most popular dish was and got it. It was the curry chicken. It was a little on the small side for being around $10. I don't mind paying for food but this left me wanting more. As I took my first bite, it instantly reminded me of a rice and chicken frozen dinner that you can buy for a dollar. Actually I think those are better. The chicken was rubbery and had no flavor. It was just cheap gross food. Definitely not recommended for a foodie. It's basically like nursing home food.

  • Lindsey G.

This place has been hit or miss for me over the past year. Sometimes it's delicious. Sometimes it's over-seasoned, overcooked, dry, rubbery, or runny. The same entries come out a variety of ways depending on the day (and possibly the cook). I'm happy to pay a bit more here when the food is good, but it's really not worth the price on those "off days." If Blue Lemon doesn't stay consistent, I wonder if customers will start looking elsewhere for quality food they can rely on.

Meh. Not awesome. Not horrible. Don't eat at their express side - it sucks. Eat at the actual restaurant on the right hand side.

After visiting the downtown SLC location, I knew I had to make the trek to visit this Blue Lemon. The restaurant offers great lunch options when fast food just won't do. They have a nice selection of salads and flat breads. If you're on the hungrier side, you can choose from several hearty entrees. They have a diverse menu - everything from short ribs to fish tacos. I've mainly stuck with salads and sampled others' flatbreads, sweet potato fries, etc. I've enjoyed everything that I tried. They also have a coffee bar where you can order custom drinks along with the standards. If you're feeling indulgent, the dessert case is well-stocked with many temptations. I spotted a fruit tart that almost made me forget about my goals. I didn't indulge but I plan to visit again during this trip so, you never know. Service was friendly. Unlike the downtown location, it was pretty easy to secure a table during the busy lunch rush.

I've been here many times and I am always happy with what I get. All of the salads are a good choice. Recently I got the chicken tacos and they were amazing. Before you go grab a sugar cookie!

There is such potential at this location. I keep wanting to be impressed by Blue Lemon and they are failing. Tables always need to be bussed, employees always seem put out. Food gets worse with time. It's Saturday morning and I've waited 20 mins for a yogurt parfait, coffee wasn't hot. I've now just asked for my money back, as they seem to have forgotten about me. The barista got off the bar with her boyfriend to refund me.

The food was good. If you prefer less spice this is the place for you. I prefer more zing to my food. The staff was attentive and helpful. The salads are great.

My wife and I had heard a lot of good things about Blue Lemon so on Friday night we ventured out from South Utah County to give it a try. We figured it would be good to mix things up and get away from our usual Provo/Orem spots. We were really surprised to discover that it is cafeteria style/quick serve. For the pricing and menu we totally expected a sit down restaurant so that was a little disappointing. I got the iron seared salmon and my wife got the Artichoke Tomato Chicken. We also shared a half order of Artichoke Spinach Cheese Dip as an appetizer. The appetizer was ok, nothing too great. My salmon dish was good and my wife liked her dish. The portions were just the right size, not too big, not too small. After dinner we went next door to their bakery and shared a cookie that was pretty good. I don't think we'll ever venture too far out of our way to go back but one thing that probably will get me back is their Mango Mint salad. I almost ordered it and it sounds really interesting and good. I asked if they substitute the chicken for salmon and for a $1 or $2 more they will do substitutions so I thought that was pretty cool. Maybe our next visit and the Mango Mint salad will turn my opinion around, otherwise I probably won't be back.

Overall, the experience was good and I liked the ambiance, which is quite modern (i.e., menus are on flat-panel HD monitors on the wall). There's a theory about the appearance of the food being the most important thing. Mine looked really great when it came. But, of course, I look past those things pretty fast. Fat Boy didn't get his body by simply staring at the food!!! The sandwich was really good. BUT, there was only one slice of bacon on the whole thing. This was supposed to be a bacon sandwich (chicken bacon). If you're only going to put one slice of bacon on the sandwich, let's call it what it is, and that's NOT a bacon sandwich. The fries were NOT crisp, they were a little soggy and tasted like freezer sweet potato fries. I got there right after they opened so I wonder if the friar wasn't on. I'm in Utah enough visiting family, so I MAY visit here again. Bottom line, I'd say to make this happen, they need to spend a little more time on the food (i.e., more bacon and thoroughly cooked fries), and a little less time on the appearance. Seriously... one piece of bacon?

We did a business lunch here. It was delicious. The hummus appetizer small plate could be enough of a meal for a small appetite. The seared ahi with edamame was fantastic. I didn't need dinner. Generous portions. Large groups are hard here if it's busy and you want to continue to talk shop.

Food was excellent and fresh. Tasted clean. Service was quick. We ordered the raspberry and oriental salad, with a brownie.

First time here. The fish tacos are awesome! Next time I will try the Seared Ahi. It looks really good. Restaurant is very nice. The wait staff is very helpful and attentive. Thank you Bethany Wood for the great service.

Never coming back. Ordered a basic breakfast: Eggs (over-hard), potatoes, turkey sausage and toast. $8. The food came and it was cold, runny eggs, and without toast. I asked them to remake the eggs. They came back with with slighty less runny eggs and cold toast. They then asked if i needed butter, i replied yes. (cause its toast, thats a given). The cold food, runny eggs, and greasy potatoes were enough to ask to remake my food again. Luckily i was helped by a different employee who asked if i just wanted something else free of charge. I accepted a tasty turkey sandwich which was great. It seems most of the staff, especially the cooks need a little more practice at doing their job. If im paying $8 for two eggs I at least expect it to be cooked right.

This sandwich was the freshest, juiciest one I've had so far. And of course I got it to go to eat in my car while I was driving. All dressed up. The turkey and chibatta were perfect. I love the pest aoli and melted mozzarella cheese. Yum!

This review is primarily about their breakfasts. If it were only for breakfast it would be only one star, and if it were for lunch/dinner it would be 3. Breakfast was bad. I ordered the Blue Sunrise which is two eggs, choice of ham or turkey bacon/ sausage, rosemary potatoes, sourdough toast, and seasonal fruit. What I got was two eggs that were fine, but the potatoes were cold, the toast consisted of a sad looking 1/2 piece of dry toast (1/2 piece? Did I order the off the kids' menu?), meh turkey sausage (also not hot), and the seasonal fruit was a bowl of sliced apples. Nothing else, just sliced apples! I sent the potatoes back for hot ones and those were fine although I couldn't taste the rosemary. I had to ask for butter for the toast, and there was no jam, honey, etc. One of my friends had the veggie omelet which she said was just okay, and another had the crepes which were again just okay. We were the only party in the restaurant at the time, so you can't blame the cold boring food on them being overwhelmed with customers. None of us plan to go back for breakfast. It just felt like they didn't care at all about what they were putting out to the diners, or maybe like a 10 year-old was put in charge of breakfast. I've eaten dinner or lunch there a few times and it's fine. I lived in California most of my life and now spend half my time in Utah. i love Utah, but I just think there are different sensibilities about food in the two places. People in Utah are way too generous with their Yelp stars IMHO, and in Utah County they are used to lots of mediocre food. Blue Lemon is on the high end of mediocre, but it's mediocre nonetheless. Disappointing. I will keep driving over the hill into Salt Lake County for good food.

Food is delicious. The sugar cookies are to die for, as well as the rest of the desserts! The braised beef is uh-mazing. Their salads are so good too. Fresh ingredients with original recipes. Sadly, a bit over-priced.

Don't go to blue lemon on a Saturday night. An hour before closing. They were more concerned with cleaning up than cooking our food. We ordered the new coconut curry plate, they brought it out with cold curry, rice and veg. We complained, they brought out a new one. Again.. cold cury. And rice. The veg was warmer. No apologies from the waitress. We flagged a buss boy down and told him. He said he would go and get a side of hot curry. When he brought it out, he apologized. We also ordered the steak tacos... cold and tough. We have been to this location several times. If this would have been our first time, we would never come back. Since the other times were better, we may give them another chance.

I've been a faithful customer of blue lemon since it opened. Last Friday, a group of us went in for dinner and were so disappointed when we ordered our usual sandwich and soup to find out that they have cut the portion size in half on the soup. Did they think we wouldn't notice? They already charge on the high end and now to cut the portion size in half was a bad move blue lemon! Our group has noticed over the years the quality of the food has steadily gone down too. We definitely left with a bad taste in our mouth for a restaurant we used to like. Good bye Blue Lemon.

Price is a little high for the quality if food and service. The dishes they serve look pretty, but most of the menu is kinda bland. The place is ok, I eat here often because it is close, but I'm almost always up for somewhere else.

Happy 100th review to me! I enjoyed both visits to Blue Lemon. Working out near Thanksgiving Pointe, there aren't a ton of eatery options and Blue Lemon is a classic option in the rotation. I've only ever had sandwiches, and I've heard mixed reviews from friends that always get salads, but I've always had warm, fresh, tasty sandwiches from Blue Lemon. On both occasions the sweet potato fries weren't as crispy as I would've liked them, but not prohibitively enough to make me not buy them the next time I go.

I like the concepts and the food. It has always been fresh and I have not been disappointed. Like the one across from Temple square even better but both are great.

Not bad food. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I had the short ribs. They were tender, but not too flavorful. The potatoes they were served with were pretty soggy and not very tasty either. It helped to sop the potatoes in the gravy. My wife had the Blue Lemon steak. She ordered it medium and it came slightly overcooked. It was also not too flavorful and came with the same soggy potatoes. Probably won't return.

Great restaurant and great food! I love their soups and salads and their entrees are delicious. You have to try the butternut squash soup! It's more like dessert than soup but it's amazing!

I've been here 3 or 4 times now and have always come away impressed wanting to try more of the menu. Its kind of like a more gourmet Zupas or something with a lot of deli style food. The prices are decent but not cheap for what you get in the 8-11 dollar range for a meal. I have enjoyed the Balsamic chicken a couple of times now.
