The first time my family came here, it was awesome. This time, not so much. The three employees were too busy flirting and goofing around to help the customers adequately. There were two boys and a girl working. The girl and one of the boys wouldn't stop flirting, with the girl going so far as to fling ice cream off of her spatula at the boy with a full counter of people waiting. It took nearly ten minutes to get our ice cream. The party in front of us had their order made incorrectly, even after the employees relayed several times to each other what the size was for each and whether or not it had a waffle bowl. The girl broke one of the waffle bowls then just stood there and stared at it for a full half minute as if she had no clue what to do. One of the boys had to come to her rescue by *gasp* getting a new waffle bowl. All this was before we even received our order. The girl took care of freezing my custard, spraying it with nitrogen no less than three times, leaving it hard as a rock and nearly inedible. I really loved the experience and ice cream the first time we came here, when a more mature staff was working. This really disappointed me and in the future, our business will be determined by who is attending the counter.

Go there for the experience, not for the ice cream. The texture is terrible. The flavor is mediocre. There's no denying it's fun to watch it all come together before your very eyes. Perhaps that's right where it gets nasty. I'm not saying it's any better at Cold Stone given that filthy slab smeared with the remnants of the past dozen customers' ice cream flavors. It's just that they pour some liquids into a bowl, add some mixins then pour liquid nitrogen piped from these massive tanks a few feet away. Seems like they ought to have OSHA labels everywhere warning people that they are one little leak away from losing a limb or more. And yet the droves of people keep coming. It's like the public doesn't even care about quality anymore.

I took my daughter here today and this is by far the best homemade ice cream I've ever had on the western side of the U.S. I got the peanut butter bonds sensation in a cup with a homemade waffle. They drizzled fudge and peanut butter sauce on top. I could taste how creamy it was, there's definitely a difference in taste between the factory made ice cream and waffle cones and this place. THIS IS A MUST TRY!!! You'll be happy you did.

So my review is a little lopsided because I can not say it is anyone's fault but my own. First, this place has a lot of potential and okay service (young teenagers, low expectations) never really that busy, so a plus there. The problem for me is that I get this idea that something might be good and I get it all mixed and it is not ... And sometimes horrible choices! So it tears me because on one hand it is my fault for pick the concoctions, but of the other hand I have something I am going to put in the trash that I paid $8 for! I don't really have a solution to the problem, but my advice is to stick to the staples and norms ... Can't go wrong with cookies and cream! Or maybe have a customer creations board/menu? All and all this place does a cool ice cream creation and has good service without horrible lines; just stay clear of the road less traveled when it comes to choices.

I love SubZero ice cream. I guess I have different taste buds than a lot of the reviewers but overall I really like this subzero idea and the various combinations you can make out of it. It's different than your typical ice cream shop and I think it's better than most. Pricing could be better but that is kind of a standard complaint - everyone want's things cheaper. I love the custard with Oreos, or custard with raspberries and graham cracker crust. Give this place a try, I think you'll like it.

The lady that helped us was really sweet. I love their ice cream. I always get the premium cream. :)

They get 5 stars for both customer service and delicious ice cream! The ice cream is great. It's the perfect mixture of creamy and icy and I just love it! The owner is such a nice lady. She was very friendly and patient with my indecisiveness. The kids that work there are great, too. You don't always get the best customer service with teenagers, but I have never had any problems and I really love going here.

The milk in the ice cream tasted old and kind of sour, the service was okay, there is an older lady that was kind of rude when I asked her for a waffle bowl she said okay, there was no enthusiasm in her serving her clients. Also the place was dirty the tables a mess and sticky and mix-ins tasted old and stale and they were out of the berries. My recommendation go down to the harmons next door they are wonderful they know what customer service is and keeping a clean place looks like.

Fun concept and was super yummy. Also great for kids. They have a tv showing kids movies. Will be back!

Awful customer service. We were treated like Martians when we asked how it all worked by employees that were anything but friendly. To top it off, out of three orders they didn't get one single order right. Definitely won't be back.

A friend told me about this place months ago so I finally decided to go give it a shot. They have more choices than you know what to do with when choosing your flavors, plus you can choose traditional ice cream, custard or frozen yogurt for any of the flavors. They basically mix everything together in liquid form and them use liquid nitrogen to freeze it. The price is pretty on par with other shops like cold stone, and the ice cream was pretty good. The one downside is how long it takes to make it. When I went they only had 2 people working and I ended up waiting about 20 min to get through the line and pay (this was with only 4 people in front of me). I probably won't go again, just because of the time it takes to get a cup of ice cream, but otherwise I would recommend it.

Used to be good. What's happened? New ownership?! I love this ice cream place. My favorite is the Cinnamon roll reaction. BUT last time I came here on 6/12/15 the teens making it did not make it properly. I got the small and there were way too many mix ins and very little ice cream. All I was eating in every bite was cookie dough. Same with my husband's ice cream. Very disappointing especially since it's not cheap. I suggest more training. Not sure I want to give this place another chance.

This is a new twist on ice cream. They use ice cream mix and flavorings mixed together and then freeze it with nitrogen gas. Pros: something new and customizable-- there are premium, low fat, and soy alternatives Cons: speed of service, ice cream consistency Although it's a neat concept and there are a wide variety of favors, the consistency and texture is a fat cry from regular ice cream.
