Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Good Italian pizza in town... Love the place and quick service. They also have a "special" out of the menu order called "Ferrari". It's spicy but it's just perfect... The concept is fast food with fresh ingredients. So you could specifically order the ingredients for your pizza and you could see how they made in front of you. Really unique concept for pizza. It is then go to the brick oven, so you could see the entire process. If you come down, don't forget to get their Gelato, I love their Pistachio Gelato...

I really like Pizzeria Limone. The atmosphere is hip and casual, and the food is really, really good. I've been a couple times, and in both visits I've tried the Insalata Caprese, Tre Sorelle salad, Margherita pizza, Buongiorno pizza, Lemon Gelato, and Limone Brownie (what can I say, I like food). The only item I wasn't crazy about was the gelato - the flavor was very refreshing, but it was brick hard and not creamy at all. Their pizzas rival any other high end pizzeria, but their prices are very reasonable. The crust is thin and crisp, with a great char on it from the oven and a nice chewy texture. The salads are fresh and very attractive. The only downside to the restaurant is their use of only disposable dishes/cutlery, which is really wasteful and not particularly earth-friendly (I'm from Oregon, I can't help it). I wish they would switch to regular dishware at least and skip the plastic containers!!!

The margarita pizza is probably their best pizza. I don't recommend anything with potatoes or eggs. If you've had a great breakfast pizza and are expecting that, this is not your pizza place for that. Salads are decent and it's usually clean and fairly quick.

SANDY, UT: I really like Limone; the pizza is made fresh in the Napolitano Style in a 12 inch or so diameter with fresh ingredients, thin crust, and inventive flavor. We tried three: Salame with Olives (4 star): Delicious sauce, generous cheese, and the meat and olives were flavorful. Note: these are legit Italian olives with overpowering traditional flavor, so ensure you like them when ordering. Pear Prosciutto Pie: (5 stars) I loved this pie; the pear plus Prosciutto plus balsamic was great. Note: prosciutto is different from ham, ensure you like it before ordering. Prosciutto and Blackberry Pie: (4 stars) This was also very good, with basil, red sauce, salame and blackberries. It was my least favorite of the three. My wife and little kids did not like this place. Just a forewarning that its not for the Dominoes crowd.

Pizzeria Limone serves some of the best Neapolitan pizza around in a fast and casual setting. You get in line to order, watch them create your pizza, and they'll bring it out to you when it's ready. So far I've tried the Secca, Pera and Limone. Each were cooked perfectly and presented nicely with a good proportion of ingredients. My favorite was the Secca - the combination of salami, cheese and olives on top of marinara was delicious.

Service was good but my pizza was burnt in the clay oven. They did own up to it and make a new one but still... It's not that hard to make pizza.

I've petit pretty much tried all of their pizza's and they are all delicious. I think the salsiccia Ia my favorite though.

Good traditional pizza, with great side options. This is a kind upscale pizzeria with a low cost. Friendly staff, and tasty food. Now after all that bread, do you really want dessert? !!! You should try it anyways ... So So good. Had to loosening the belt after but worth it! Plus they sell gift cards, great for business or thank you gifts.

Perfect for a casual dinner with friends. Please be aware this is a cafeteria set up where you stand in line to order a pizza from a large menu on the wall. About 9 pizzas, several.side orders and a couple of salads to choose from. Everything was great and the pizza was excellent. A good cross of traditional Italian style with virgin olive oil and / or marinara sauce. Once the pizza is selected, it is immediately made in front of you behind a glass separator (Subway rest like) and then popped in a hot brick oven. My meal arrived to my table in 4-5 minutes, tops. Highly recommend if you are looking for a casual, quick pizza or some good pizza and hanging with friends.

I've had great pizzas here sometimes and other times not so good. Sometimes inconsistent to product. But when good it's very good. Try the lemon pizza for sure. Not very much seating and usually crowded also only one drink machine.

Great food! Fast service and decently priced. We had the Pera and Viola pizzas and they were both good. I didn't like the Pera quite as much, it was heavy on the olive oil and not as flavorful. The Crosta Formaggi (cheese bread) was awesome!

  • Megan B.

Same great pizza and service as in Fort Union! Glad to have a Viola (Blackberries & Prosciutto) fix when I need it as I can run here on lunch. Caprese salad is also great! Daughter is a picky eater and I can get her to eat the pizza here. Love the simple clean feel of the interior as well.

The thin crust artisan pizzas are pretty good. I wasn't a huge fan of the lemone, but I enjoyed the caprese. The overall dining experience just didn't match the quality of the pizza, however. Half the tables were dirty when we walked around choosing where to sit, and it wasn't like it was overly busy. The single choose-your-own soda machine is an annoyance at any location when it takes 5 minutes just to pour yourself a Coke. And it was LOUD. There is very little in the way of atmosphere here. In a place that could have the potential to be very nice with booths or at least some nice seating, it's like they decided to just haphazardly dump a few cheap tables down on the floor with no regard to noise volume control and call it good. Maybe decent for take out, but not a place I want to go and sit down at.

  • Chad W.

The pizza was excellent, as was the salad. Very impressed. The service was also good. Then there was everything else -- oddly a bit of a train wreck. They don't have plates (yes, plates). I guess you're supposed to eat off of the pizza tray. The plastic utensils were definitely serviceable, but it would have made more sense (given the cuisine) to have real utensils. And, they only have one soda machine, which is a Coke Freestyle, so it took me about 5-7 minutes to fill up my drink each time. And, if I'm going to be really picky, the restaurant had no atmosphere. Just a big, cold, empty building. It just doesn't make sense. This very high quality food is completely misaligned with the model for serving it. All this place would need is a couple of tweaks to the model and it would be my favorite pizza place in Utah. Sigh. Don't get me wrong. I will definitely be back. But, probably only for take-out.

My extended family always goes here when we are all in town. It's our go to family gathering spot! The pizzas are amazing. Because they are a gourmet type pizza, I was afraid of the younger kids not eating them, but I was proven wrong! The dessert pizza are also just incredible.

  • Anne N.

Tasty, fun, and interesting pizza. Definitely never had a pizza with lemons on it before, but it probably won't be the last time. They also have other great, more traditional pizzas and overall, it's worth at least one visit!

My wife and I usually don't pick someplace new. When we find a place we like, we return because we don't like to waste money on something we *might* not like. I was surprised with Pizzeria Limone. It was quick, inviting, fun and the pizza was great! I like a hearty pizza so this artisan pizza (said with a haughty british accent) just didn't seem like something I would like. I have to say that I would return. I thought the price was good and the dessert pizza was surprisingly delicious. Wow....add something from the upper crust to the menu! (That was a bit of a pizza joke there with the 'crust' worked in, in case you missed it.) -Aaron

I really enjoyed eating at Pizzeria Limone. The pizza was delicious, we tried the Viola and the Pepperoni with a balsamic glaze. The Viola had blackberries of all things on a pizza and it actually went together really well. Their balsamic glaze was tasty and pulled together the ingredients. I like a little char on my crust, but on some pieces it was more than a little, which brought the overall quality down a bit for me. I have had better wood fired pizzas, but I will say that this one was quite good. I appreciated that their menu gave an accurate and in depth description of each item. It was also really fun to watch the staff pull the dough and make the pizza right in front of you. For being pretty busy we received our meal in a very timely matter, and the staff was very courteous and accommodating.

The food is decent so two stars. Quite possibly the most lethargic group of individuals ever assembled. Our pizza sat done on the counter for 10 mins while several of the employees ping ponged around the kitchen like walking dead zombies. I found myself wanting to coach some of the them just to do something. I think they are supposed to bring the food to your table but we took it upon ourselves to just ask if we could grab them since they were already done and paid for. Alan get the lead out! You still high from partying for NYE or what?!

  • Warner R.

First time to this limone! This store is spotless! Staff seemed kinda new to me. Some people didn't quite know some stuff. We got about 5 pizzas and a dessert. All came out in a timely manner! We even got the new one with an egg and potatoes on it. Starts with a B, and it was delicious!! This place was really clean. Even when it was way busy, I went into the bathroom and it had just been cleaned. Looked spotless for a packed house. I did run into one girl by the to go boxes, I asked if those were the to go boxes (Cuz I wasn't sure) and she was sure not in a good mood with her quick answer and a side of attitude. But whatever, not everyone can be happy! They also have one of those cool coke machines with all the flavoring!

  • Varun Y.

We ordered their signature Limone Pizza and the Buongiorno. I really enjoyed their Buongiorno as the egg was wonderfully placed in the middle with a creamy maple syrup sauce with potatoes. Ohh la la that pizza was wonderful but I ordered the Limone which was very dull. I thought by ordering their flagstaff pizza, I would not be disappointed but that was the case. I would order the Buongiorno again but not the Limone. Staff was nice and the pizza came out within 5-7 mins. The restaurant is very clean and has seats inside/outside. Its a big restaurant and will certainly give California Pizza Kitchen a run for its money.

This place is fantastic! I've been here many times and as long as i ask them to cook the pizzas lightly (I don't like the taste of burnt crust) they turn out fantastic! The margharita is excellent, the limone, the formaggi, love their salads and lemon gelato. I didn't like their dark chocolate cake dessert. Awesome drink machine with 100's of choices it seems. And they got our ToGo order right the first time (a rarity around these parts). Love it. Just be sure to ask them to cook the pizza lightly if you don't like burned crust.

Delicious pizza! Thin crusts, quality toppings - not your usual greasy american fare.

  • Tatiana G.

This restaurant is new, clean, and modern. Everything looks really sleek and nice, but my only complaint is that the tables can't be moved. The table I first sat at felt like it was in the way of a common walking path and I ended up having to move because I felt like I was in the way. Our pizzas came out quickly and looked and smelled good. The taste of the pizza was a little less than what I expected. I ordered the Caprese pizza which comes with 5 cheese, onions, tomato slices, basil and balsamic vinegar. The crust of the pizza is thin and flimsy so it isn't able to hold the giant (cold) tomato slices. There are 5 types of cheeses, but actually it seems like there is only a hint of cheese (which is sad, because I really like cheese). The balsamic vinegar is a really nice touch though and it was nice to dip the crust in. Overall, I'd go back, but I'd maybe ask for extra cheese.

  • Bud H.

I love this place. Yeah, I know it's not authentic NY-style thin crust pizza, yada yada yada, but the crust is just too good to not award this place five stars. For me, it's all about the crust. My go-to's are definitely the Pera and the off-the-menu Ferrari. I pretty much love them both. Also, on occasion, I'll just skip the red sauce on certain pies and go with an olive oil base. Granted, it makes the it more cheesy bread than pizza, but it's amazing nonetheless - because of the crust! And those lemon brownies? Don't even get me started...

  • Ashley E.

I'm kind of a pizza gal, and this could be my new favorite thin crust pizza. The Pera: The perfect combo of sweet and savory. The sweet pears and red onions paired with the prosciutto, basil, and pistachios...mmm. The Salsiccia: This is a man's pizza with all the meat and cheese, but I liked it, too. Kids Pepperoni: Okay, for half the price, it was the exact same size as our pizzas. Awesome. Dessert Pizza: A combo of chocolate and drizzled caramel--it was good, but not great. I can't wait to come back to Utah for this pizza!

  • Sarah M.

LOVE this place! The crust is chewy and perfect! I highly recommend the MARGHERITA (my go to pizza), VERDURE, PERA, and the TRE SORELLE salad. Everything is fresh and made to order with minimal wait time. This is the only pizza I want now. Too bad there isn't one closer to my home. Hopefully one will open in the Lehi or American Fork area soon- please!

  • Lala P.

Love the pizzas here, I've had a few of the pizzas so far and all have been pretty tasty. The gem of this place is the dessert pizza, it is the perfect dessert for the chocolate lover and worth every single calorie. The gelato and the limone brownie are also very tasty if you're looking for something smaller. The restaurant is clean, the service is good, and you get your fresh pizza in less than 8 mins. This is also a great place for a date night, the prices are very reasonable and the food is similar to settebellos.

  • Ngan P.

I loved this place, the experience and everything about it! We were given a $30 gift card so nothing beats free food but wow I was amazed by the gem we found! We ordered 2 pizzas; the Viola (absolutely amazing) and the Salsiccia (was pretty good); 2 fountain drinks: 1 gelato and 1 brownie. After all that we still had .88 cents on the gift card! This place is so much better than California Pizza Kitchen. I would go back in a heartbeat, it's very cute, quant, but most of all delicious!

Great atmosphere. It can get a little crowded at times but the staff is efficient. Food is good. I got the Salsiccia which was delicious. The beverage options is insanely huge. No real complaints just be ready for a crowd if you come during normal meal times.

Incredibly delicious pizza made quickly and with excellent, fresh ingredients. I had the Viola and it was fantastic. We also had an antipasto that was very good, but it would have been nice to get it before our pizzas. However, it was tasty enough that I'm overlooking this. It did seem like the workers were a bit stressed and overall they could have benefitted from two more people making pizza or what have you. Our toddler son loved his kid's pepperoni and honestly, I'm just sad that this place isn't closer to us in Lehi because it would be a constant temptation. Hmm. That's probably a good thing.

I have always loved my meals from Pizzeria Limone. The salads are delicious., the Tre Sorelle is my favorite! The pizzas are authentic, and so good. Today's meal, unfortunately, didn't hold up to what I have experienced in the past. While the salads were still amazing, our pizza was saturated in balsamic vinegar, making the normally crispy crust hard to chew. When we asked about the vinegar, we were told this was the normal way this location makes it. The location in Fort Union has never served me this type of pizza. I think I'll stick to that location.

The decor & atmosphere of the restaurant is modern & quite nice! The pizzas all sounded appetizing. I got the Margherita which has an olive oil base, garlic, red onions, grape tomatoes, 5 cheeses, & basil. I'll be honest, it sounded more appetizing on the menu than it did in real life...it was underwhelming.

I would have expected a lot more of the specialty pizza... To be honest it was simply gross. The dough was good and the gelato was good but that's about it.

  • Laurie T.

Best thin crust pizza ever! I have been twice in one week. I've had two different pizzas, salad and the tomato soup. Didn't love the soup but everything else was delicious. Usually fast service, but tonight it seemed to be taking a long time. Then the guy came over and said the pizza did not meet their quality standards (I'm guessing they burned it) and he gave us each gelato, which was very yummy! We will definitely be going here a lot!

  • Gregory B.

This is a nice place to come and get a pizza with friends. They have some unique toppings. I do find it quite loud as many families think it's appropriate to bring young children and not watch them so they are either running around or crying. (This is not isolated to this location, it also occurs at the 4th south location). Overall a pizza is big enough to share with two people or if your hungry you could eat one on your own. Be careful as they do come out extremely hot so the cheese can burn your mouth.

  • Kevin L.

Nice place for a personal pizza especially during lunchtime. Only downside is that the parking and ease of access to get into the plaza is always really difficult during busy hours but that's not on them of course. Favorite pizza is either the salsiccia (sausage, red onions, grape tomatoes, olives) or the ferrari which is off the menu and very similar to a meat lover's pizza. After about ten minutes, you get a good portioned pizza that tastes seemingly fresh. Service is always good, and if I'm craving pizza, this is the place to go to!

I've noticed a couple of these places all over town so I'm glad I finally had the chance to try it. I didn't realize it's a quick order & sit down place until I arrived. I personally love this style of restaurant for lunch. Our food was really quick & yummy! I would dine here again.

So pleasantly surprised at how delicious their food was!! We had a salad and two pizzas. The breakfast pizza with an egg and drizzle on syrup was awesome. So was the basic pepperoni. Great sauce and high quality ingredients. Of course the wood fired crust is my favorite part. The tre sorelle salad has the best lemony dressing and ingredients that you don't find in other salads. Next time I'm in Utah, I'm coming here for sure. While the place was crowded and a line almost out the door, they were pretty quick and the staff was super kind. A good place for our large group as well!

It was my first time here. I glanced at the menu for 2 seconds and asked the waitress to recommend. They don't actually have tons of choices but I like to tell them, you have one chance, so impress me. Ok not those exact words, but something along that line. I ended up with The Caprese. It was fresh from the oven and you can so tell. I mean taste wise, since they actually put your choice of pizza in the oven right under your nose after you ordered. First impression I thought olive oil and balsamic vinegar taste were strong, so if you don't like them, then order something else. I like them. They complement the soft dough well. I also had Insalata Caprese Salad. I actually wanted to go with something else, but i saw them making one of this and thought it looked interesting. Nothing looked so unlike a salad than this, so don't expect leafy green dish. This is mainly tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, garnished with generous amount of, again, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Very simple but full mark for presentation. Every chew brings me closer to Fontana de Trevi. Overall, this place did not disappoint. I even met my big boss from work here, so this place is work-approved lol. I felt like i had eaten fresh and pretty healthy food when i left. Will come back but probably after i check out Zao Asian Cafe nearby there first.

I wish I had the palate for this place. People of more refined tastes have assured me that it is life-changing, but unfortunately I have had to take their word for it because my experience at the Limone was unextraordinary. It is fancy. They use prosciutto and high quality olive oil on all their pizzas. They also make a worthy attempt at "high modern" chefery by including such ingredients as thin-sliced pears, smushy blackberries, uncommon cheeses, and unpronounceable greens. If you're looking for a pizza that doesn't taste like pizza, you're in the right place. The crust is very good; it may have been my favorite part. Light, chewy, not bready. It slumped under the olive oil and blackberry juice onslaught, but was still good. I also liked the prosciutto. Who doesn't? The problem was that the pizza, while plenty big for one person, lacked sufficient flavor and toppings. They make the pizza in front of you in a very Emeril-esque manner, tossing the ingredients somewhat unevenly and extremely scantily onto the crust. You're lucky if half the slices have sauce on them. They end the whole routine by grating 0.0004 ounces of unidentified cheese from three feet in the air, and some of it makes it to the pizza before they scoop it into the oven, but I couldn't tell the difference. All in all, not a bad pizza, not too expensive, but failing its true potential. At best, it's a casual montage of slightly detectable organic non-pizza flavors on a pizza crust.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
