We were really happy with our experience here ! Reasonably priced and pretty tasty! We got two of the dinner combos which came with the entree, rice , egg rolls, wontons and a fortune cookie! We tried out the sesame chicken and the beef and broccoli ! Is recommend both . The sesame chicken had a nice crunch and then a good texture in the middle. Beef broccoli was pretty standard... Always a good option ! As an added bonus their fountain drinks are a great price . I'd recommend this place !

Our favorite Chinese place isn't open on a Sunday, so we tried here. I don't dare give it a second chance. . the food was terrible. 4 orders of sweet and sour pork, and 1 order of sweet and sour chicken were all extremely under cooked.. Doughy. Everyone left their food on their plate, including my kids, who will eat anything. If there's another place open, try that place first. not good.

If you live near by and are craving Chinese food, this is the place! Fast delivery and delicious food. Great portion sizes and fair prices. We've ordered from several Chinese food places and this is my favorite. Authentic taste, not too Americanized.

I love Chinese food and am always trying to find what I consider to be good Chinese food in the salt lake valley. Today I tried the general tso at janbo in Draper. The flavor of the chicken is decent, slightly sweet and spicy. The dish just does not have the complexity or range of flavor that I am looking for. The chicken also lacked the crispy texture that I expect when taking in the fried chicken calories. I have certainly had worse Chinese food, but I would not say this is good either.

This is definitely not the best Chinese food in Utah. Not the most authentic at least but I guess it's not too bad if you are looking to fill up on a $6 lunch. I ordered the lemon chicken with a side of sweet and sour chicken based on the recommendation of a colleague but was disappointed by my meal. Both chickens were deep fried in a thick layer of dough and just drenched in different sauces. If I had to pick the best thing I tried here, I would say the orange chicken (ordered by someone else in our party). If anyone has a suggestion for better items to order here, I'm willing to give it a shot but for now, I don't see myself coming back anytime soon.

Normally I don't write reviews but this was pretty awful. The sesame seed chicken was overly sweet and their chow mien wasn't even chow mien! It was more like a stir fry. I won't be eating here again and would honestly like my money back.

Great lunch specials. Not the fastest when you order for lunch, but you can call ahead and have it waiting. I have not used their delivery, but have gone there multiple times for lunch with a couple work friends. Three stars for a decent Chinese lunch at a great price.

Best lunch special around in my opinion. I get the veggie lo mein, white rice with 2 wontons for under $7. Generous portions. Staff is quick and friendly. When I call in my order they just ask if want the same thing as last time. Love that. I've only had one other item....also good. The room is nothing special...but always very clean. More of a to go place. Draper Park is just down the street if it's a nice day.

Decent American-style Chinese food. They've got a fairly comprehensive menu and they deliver, which is definitely a plus as there just aren't that many places in Draper that do. We tried an assortment of items and they were all pretty good. The cream cheese wontons were just as you'd expect, as were the egg rolls and hot and sour soup (although my wife claimed she could have lived without all the mushrooms in the soup - and she enjoys mushrooms). There was nothing special about the fried rice, but the taste was decent enough and serviceable nonetheless. For our entrees, we went with the General Tso's chicken and the Black Pepper beef. I was concerned the General Tso's would be quite soggy when I saw that it was sitting in a pool of sauce, but remarkably enough, it didn't really get that way. The fried exterior didn't maintain any crispiness, which is how I enjoy it, but somehow it avoided sogginess too. The beef was very moist and flavorful, but I must say, it got a little sweet for me towards the end. All in all, tasty but nothing special - definitely good enough to order again, especially considering they deliver. They get an extra star for that alone.

After reading the reviews we were excited to try this out. Our kids liked the Orange chicken but I thought it was more bread than chicken. We also got the cashew beef and Kung Pao shrimp and felt it lacked flavor. Still haven't found any Chinese food in Utah that is amazing.

Great little place to eat! Since we moved to Draper we've been looking for a good Chinese food place to eat (that is not horrible Hu Hot), and this place has been great! Great price for the food, and the food is pretty good too. Perfect place to have a quick lunch or dinner. The staff is friendly as well! The only thing I would change is that I wish the entrees came with more rice, because its delicious! I recommend getting the Pon Pon chicken.

I went here at the demand of a close friend and was not disappointed. I am from California so I am pretty picky when it comes to Asian food and especially Chinese lunch specials but I thought this place did it well. I have been here a number of times for lunch and usually get either the Broccoli& Beef, Mongolian Beef or Chicken with mixed vvegetables. All have been yummy and full of flavor. I usually get a side of steamed rice and the hot&sour soup. I love hot&sour soup and this place does such a good job with it!! I highly recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for Chinese food. The location and ambience level are next to nothing but the food and prices make up for it.
The orange chicken is perfect and moist, I've had dry orange chicken and it is not fun. The sweet and sour pork is great, with generous chopped chunks of pork. Even the fortune cookies are sweeter than others. Haven't had a dish I could complain about. They are fast, and delivery is free. The prices are competitive, and the portions are generous. I highly recommend a dinner combo. You get 2 cream cheese wontons, and 2 shrimp with your entree + rice. If you are a small portion eater, it can easily feed two. Enjoy!

Good Chinese food at a reasonable price. We have done take out from this place on a number of occasions and it's very consistent. Not the best Chinese I have ever eaten, but for Americanized Chinese take-out you could do much worse.

In our ongoing and seemingly neverending quest to find great Chinese take-out options in South SLCo, we held our breath and boarded the Janbo train. The food was relatively inexpensive; the menu offers the standard Chimerican options; the staffer who took my take-out phone order was bustling but still somewhat friendly, and provided clear and concise pick-up info. My order was ready and waiting when I showed up on time to pick it up. For all of this, I am giving them a whole star. The food, unfortunately, was just not up to snuff. It wasn't even up to sniff. Usually, it's the drive home, with the aroma of the hot tasty Chinese food wafting about the car, when I begin to prognosticate about the carnage ahead; all manner of Asian goodies hopping down my gullet like Lemmings, after a masterful mastication to make known their lusty flavors...it's kind of a big deal. On the drive home from Janbo, there were no wafting aromas. No spicy emanations. Nothing to increase the anticipation. I even pulled off an impressive anti-farmer-blow to be sure. Nothing - sad. In a concerted effort to stay positive, though, I chalked it up to inpenetrable packaging, and stepped on the gas. Turns out, packaging wasn't inpenetrable after all. Sufficient, mind you. The problem was, the good smells just weren't there. For real. They offered a coupon for a free appetizer, so we chose the 8-piece Cream Cheese wontons. Sadly, the free wontons were the best part of the meal. It's pretty tough to screw up cream cheese wontons. They were yummy, with good sweet-&-sour, and did I mention...free? Otherwise, we tried the Ham Fried Rice (thank you for at least not putting carrots in it), Schezuan Trio extra spicy (shrimp, chicken, beef), and Chicken in Garlic Sauce extra spicy. In an unexpected twist of irony, they got the spice levels right. The taste, however, left a lot...............................................Â..... Sorry, I dozed off for a minute. What can I say about this food, except that when I asked Hubby how he would describe it in one word, he closed his eyes and fake-snored. They tout their MSG-free cooking on their website. Maybe they outta look into adding some after all.

Love Janbo. Don't expect fancy (dinners are served in styrofoam containers, even when you dine-in), and you bus your own table and get your own sodas. But it is what it is--very good Chinese-American food in healthy portions at reasonable prices. I always get the General Tso's without the spice, and we have never been disappointed in the food. The ham fried rice is just ok.

Ordered take out on one of our last nights w/ my in laws from here. Of course I had to depend solely on my YELP sources since Utah + Chinese food is usually a FAIL - but I can't really say how the food tasted while it was fresh since we waited almost 2 hours before we sat down to eat so by then everything is either soggy or not as good. Truth be told it wasn't bad. I ordered the Won Ton Soup, Mongolian Beef, General Tso's Chicken w/ sides of Ham Fried Rice, Veggie Chow Mein w/ Crispy Noodle & Egg Rolls. Ham fried rice was meh - kind of tasty but didn't care too much for it, General Tso's was yummy - I love that it had a kick to it but would have preferred it fresh since the meat tends to get hard if you wait with dishes like this that use dark, veggie chow mein was different - it came in a thick clear sauce with veggies with the crispy noodles on the side - wasn't a miss but definitely different - still tasty though - & the egg rolls were ok. Heard from my sis in law & hubby that the won ton soup was tasty as well as the Mongolian beef but didn't try either of them. I'll have to order from here again to update my review but for now minus 2 stars.

From out-of-town and in the area, so I read the Yelp! reviews and went to Janbo's. Definitely had Chinese-American food in generous portions, but this is not Chinese food in the authentic, Mainland tradition, especially the chow mein. Pros: generous portions for price; more entree than rice; flavorful; white meat chicken, good heat on spicy dishes, like Szechuan beef Cons: not authentic Chinese, chow mein made with deep fried "Chung King"-style noodles (not Mainland nor Hong Kong-style noodles), chow mein is sub gum style with too much corn starch sauce; dishes served with a fried rice that is soaked in soy sauce. Didn't try the lo mein... won't be back though.

Strip mall Chinese food? It can't be that good right? This is hands down the best take out Chinese food in Utah. The food is delicious, hot, and you get a ton of it. All of their sauces have a lot of flavor, and you can tell they use white meat chicken. The food is just top quality. The general Tsao's is incredible (and spicy, especially with the hot mustard) as is the sesame chicken. I like these two so much I hardly order anything else.

I worked near Janbo Express and first had their food when my boss ordered in Chinese. That was all it took. The food is delicious and prices unbeatable, and generous portions -- they even deliver if you live or work in the area. You can eat in, but there's not a lot of room. If you want really good, affordable Chinese take-out, Janbo is the place. They even know what your favorite orders are and make patronizing the restaurant a cinch. Now that I don't live near Draper, I'm sad that I can't experience their food more often.

Definitely better in value compared to Fongs, but not quite as good with flavor and sauce variety. This is your typical fast food Chinese in a strip mall.

Janbo Express is amazing! It's one of the better restaurants in the Draper area. From the outside, the place looks like a dive and really, it kind of is. But the food is wonderful. You get quite a bit of yummyness for the price. My favorite is their char shu lo mein - it is some of the best lo mein I have had! Their crab rangoon is amazing. Their egg foo yung and sweet and sour chicken leave a little something to be desired, but they make up for it with their delicious ham fried rice. All in all, Janbo is a great place to eat if you're in the mood for some Chinese goodness. Enjoy!

We only order from Janbo and have done so for many years. I learned about them when I lived much closer. I recently moved further away and I was happy to find that Janbo still delivered to my area. I usually order Szechuan shrimp and the hot and sour soup. My kids have all moved away from the delivery area and call me when they are sick and ask me to get them some hot and sour soup and take it to them because they do not feel good. Last night we ordered General Tso's chicken and Beef and Broccoli. The food was awesome, hot and delivered quickly. I tip very well because I want their delivery drivers to know that I enjoy the food and expect them to provide a great service. I have not been disappointed. Call Janbo the next time you are in the mood for great Chinese food delivered.

Janbo is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Don't go if you are a critic of rice or noodles. That's not the specialty. My favorite is the broccoli beef. Absolutely amazing! I've traveled around the world and never found a restaurant that matches the broccoli beef! Orange chicken, pineapple chicken, lemon chicken and General Tsao are all awesome here!

Great food for a good price, especially before 3pm (get the lunch special). You get a lot of food as well, couldn't ask for anything more from a small chinese joint like this.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
