Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

Good shakes with lots of toppings - I added an extra topping and it was the first time I've ever been served a milk shake with too much good stuff inside. I'll stick with just one next time. For thick shakes, I give the edge to the newer/other/impostor Iceberg by the convention center. The burger was very unremarkable, actually reminding me more of McDonald's fare than anything else. Overall, Ballard's is a classic old-school Draper joint that is nice to have in the neighborhood.

This place is a pretty solid 3 stars. I got a cheeseburger and fries and the burger was tiny, and super basic. Grocery store buns and ingredients, and kind of a weird taste to it. My husband got the double cheeseburger which was much bigger, and he said he liked it. The fries aren't crispy, they're the soft kind. They were good! We shared an Oreo/Butterfinger shake which was good but not amazing, just your basic shake. Like I said, 3 starts sounds about right.

Kudos to Iceberg for sticking with it, even though the rest of the old businesses along 123rd have sold out. I like to support these guys because they're one of the few local, family-owned food joints left in Draper. Service is friendly enough, and if you're ordering food be prepared for a bit of a wait since they make everything to order. So while the rest of 123rd is occupied by soulless corporate chains (I call it "getting Riverdaled," Iceberg continues to pump out solid food and thick shakes. Here's to 50 more years.

Great little snack shop. Tried their version of the Blizzard, and it was every bit as good as the Dairy Queen version. I didn't try any of their regular food, but it looked real good. The only complaint would be that they're a little slow. There was a bottleneck with their "blizzard machine." The staff was nice, so that made the wait okay.

A charming local business with delicious shakes and burgers. What more can you ask for? I don't know what happened for these one-star reviewers, but the shakes are reliably delicious at this location and the Murray location. They are made with real ice cream, thick, and generously portioned. Seriously, get a small and then share it with someone else. Dairy Queen's "ice cream" does not even compare.

This place is terrible. Beware they are not affiliated with the real Icebergs. We didn't realize this until it was too late. They do not give you the oversized cups to put your slake in (so it doesn't run all over the place). And the shakes are nothing like the true Iceberg shakes. I ordered a grasshopper shake and it was so bad I didn't eat it. We will not be going back. Consider yourself warned.

Sweet mother of milkshakes! The shakes here make me question my allegiance to Arctic Circle, in fact, they score a solid win on size and creaminess. These are full-on, sit down, spooning desserts; save that walk-n-sip casualness for McDonalds. The interior of this restaurant can be off-putting. Opening the doors, you are greeted by a wall of slightly sour, oily potato smell that took me right back to the 6th grade cafeteria line. The place also has really narrow aisles that will have you turning sideways, and makes any kind of line at all feel crushing in the tight quarters. With that said, my wife found their DIY sensibility downright charming, and when we did secure our booth and were safe within its solid embrace I felt myself enjoying the quaintness as well. The hamburgers are good but on the small side. They seem to be hand pressed from real cow meat, and had a very nice flavor, definitely not the frozen wholesale puck variety I had feared. The whole hamburger together is on the oozy and juicy side, which I really like. The pickles had a great bite, and the soft bread with melting cheese rounded out a burger on par with In-N-Out. My wife had the Turkey Burger and was surprised to see a real hand pressed burger as well, not some pre-made frozen Bucca-type burger, and it had great flavor as well. The onion rings are very good, meaty and crisp like you'd find at a state fair or better bowling alley, but pretty costly at around $5 for maybe 8 rings. The corn dog we got for our son was Grade C, decent breading and crunch but certainly not 100% beef in the hot dog, as it had a plastic texture and "not-quite meat" synthetic undertones. All in all a very impressive experience and not what you'd expect from this seeming dive a mile off the highway.

I'm not quite sure how this place manages to stay in business. I'm relatively new to living in Draper and after passing by this place for over a year and a half I finally decided to stop in to give it a try. I almost wish that I hadn't. I enjoyed the Fresh Lime and thought the onion rings were average, but the burger was lousy. In fact, I thought they had forgotten the patty for a minute until I lifted up the bun and saw the paper-thin piece of meat. What a joke. When you take the price into consideration (almost $8.00), I just don't understand how they pull it off. Especially considering you've got In-n-Out and Astro Burger right down the street, where $8.00 gives you more of everything: flavor, quality, quantity, etc. Oh well, at least now I know.

Terrible experience! We ordered a raspberry butterfinger shake. Down the road two block and two bites later, we returned because it tasted like PLASTIC! Upon complaining we were told that multiple customers had complained of the same thing that day, the owner had been in to clean the ice cream machine, but the ice cream was still inferior. Our request for a refund was denied, the owner has instructed that no further refunds were to be given out. Our 2 plastic bites were really expensive!! Will not be back, I've never heard of no refund for crappy tasting product, ever!!!

These are the best. Classic American drive-in style burgers, fries, and shakes. The best in Utah. The employees are always pretty friendly too. Also, to Aaron W. No one cares about what your five kids and wife think. EDIT: Or, you and your six wives. Whatever. You don't know shit.

I've only tried their shakes, but both times they were not very good. The eggnog shake was so bad I didn't eat it, and I eat everything. Bummer.

  • Joey P.

Have only purchased shakes from there, but so far so good on those. Will attempt to get the burgers and fries one day, but the banana shake is awesome. Great consistency. My wife has had a few different shakes, vanilla with toppings mixed in. I had some of her vanilla with brownie and the brownie was a little weird, but the ice cream itself used is great.

Stopped by for 7 shakes for the whole fam and everyone agreed they were lousy. You get much better ice cream at dairy queen. Ice cream is watered down and very skimpy on the add-ins. We won't go back.
