After a day of hiking in Zion my group and I arrived in Bryce around 8 in the evening. After unloading our stuff we were told we should go to Ruby's for dinner. For whatever reason, everything in Bryce closes at 9:30 pm and we were basically told that we would not be served (mind you this was at 9:28) unless we wanted to pay $28 bucks for day old buffet. No thanks. Hungry and tired, my pals and I went back to the restaurant of the resort that we were staying at. The decor was that of an old school country kitchen with cast iron pans on the wall, horseshoes and country music on the jukebox. The waiter welcomed us with open arms and even catered to the vegan in our group by ensuring that there were no animal products in her veggie meal. Even though my dinner wasn't that great, it hit the spot after a day of trail mix and Clif Bars. The next 2 mornings we made the Bryce Canyon Resort Restaurant our go to spot for breakfast. The 3 item omelette with potatoes and toast was great for only 8 bucks, and never was my coffee cup empty. If I'm ever in this part of Utah again, I would totally come back, maybe not for dinner, but definitely for some eggs and Kenny Chesney,

My "rib" (taste like beef) came out all dumped with a load of barbecue sauce. The mash potato was hard as Hoodoo of Bryce Canyon National Park (literally), & green beans were over stuffed. Overall my dish was cold. Besides, our poker-face waitress looked like she might be on crack or weed or something. I have no clue why many reviews said friendly? Warning to all:if you are reading this u might be eating a dish with horse hair already.

Had a great hike and wanted something to eat before the road back to Cedar City. So, we stopped in for a bite ... the ambiance is rustic cabin. The wait staff were pleasant and the food was pretty quick coming out. We had 4 adults and 3 kids so not waiting made the hungry kiddos happy. I had the Cowboy Burger and it was 3 of 5. My wife had the chicken taco salad and it was so very bland. That salad is a 2 of 5. My friend had the buffalo burger and he rates it as 2 of 5. Ok, the food is so so. But it's near the park, they have decent service. Is eat hear again as there's not a ton of choices out here, but I wouldn't go out of my way to stop in.

A pleasant surprise. The waitstaff was courtesy and accommodating. A fellow at the table next to mine was a strict vegan, and the waitress was more than happy to check on ingredients for him. Great steak, perfectly cooked. The Garden Salad was also very good.

Everyone who said this place is great after an active day at Bryce Canyon is right. And they are playing Elton John, not Kenny Chesney. After a long day in Bryce Canyon, the husband and I did not want to go far from our room. We walked over to the Bryce Canyon Resort Restaurant and were warmly greeted by the hostess. We were immediately seated and offered drinks (real draft beer). I had the fajitas and the husband had pork chop wrapped in bacon; both were good. We took a slice of deep dish apple pie back to our room and it too was good. Someone gave three stars and said really 4 four stars for Bryce; I am going to switch that and give them for stars as they are good for Bryce but they really are a three star place, which is not bad. And when we walked out and a hail/snow storm started, that 4th star seemed really appropriate as we did not have to drive to anywhere.

We came about 5:30, and they tell us they get really busy from 6:30-8:30. Our waiter from Turkey was outstanding. He offered 2 specials @ $29, and we ordered the tenderloin and fresh, crispy, Caesar side salad ($5). All was great. The tenderloin was tender and juicy. The bread was bland. My husband had the housemade carrot cake, which he rated as "good." I had the bread pudding, which was also good. The chairs were uncomfortable. Everything was expensive, but it was a lovely dinner. The man at the next table raved about his salmon. Others in our group ate there for lunch, and were very impressed with wonderful sandwiches, especially the portabella mushroom. We are planning on going back for lunch.

I usually don't take the time to write a review, but in this case, I want to warn others. We had dinner here two days ago, and it was the worst. Frozen burrito was evident, the hummus tasted like chalk, rice was day old and not chewable. Very very bad. There is a subway next to it. Much better option.

Quite possibly the most delicious burger I have ever had in my life. Coupled with a fresh lemonade, it made for a great meal after a long day. We also recommend the homemade soup. Yes the service was a little slow, but we experienced no ventilation issues. Our waiter was very friendly. Definitely worth stopping in.

This place doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is by far the best restaurant in Bryce Canyon if you are looking for delicious food. Both the mushroom/bacon hamburger and the garden burgers were excellent. The chicken tacos were delicious as well and hearty for a taco dish. The dishes were all relatively inexpensive. The staff was friendly and cordial, and the restaurant itself was clean and cute, although nothing fancy.

The barbeque chicken wings were served cold. After it was redone, it became burnt with burnt barbeque sauce served on top of it. To top it off, they gave me the bill with a mandatory gratuity added on. I am glad they did not charge me for the chicken wings, after I told them I could not eat it. Other patrons seemed to have better luck with their food. The waitress and head waiter were friendly, but they need better chefs. We paid for the salad and soft drink and gratuity, then left with half empty stomachs. That night, we were scheduled for a moonlight hike in Bryce Canyon with a ranger.

I've never been to a restaurant with such POOR VENTILATION ( yelp.com/biz_photos/yEbs… ). This is not an exaggeration Yelpers ( yelp.com/biz_photos/yEbs… )! When we went in, we could see and smell the smoke. Unfortunately, we were crazy from hunger and hiking, so we decided to stay since the wait at our hotel's restaurant was around 45 minutes (to be seated). Usually, I'm the one to say something but this time my friend did. She asked the waiter if he could open a window or door. I didn't catch the reason, but he couldn't open the door. He said he would open one window in the dining area and one in the kitchen to create a draft. He's a sweet guy. He also allowed us to change tables so we could be seated next to the open window. However, minutes later, he had to close the window because two older ladies in thick woven jackets complained they were cold. I don't think most of you who are reading this review could imagine how smoky it got. I feel it must violate some kind of health code. With my chemistry background, I'm quite aware of the particulates released from cooking meat. If I feel the poor ventilation was a one time situational thing, I'd recommend this place because the food is pretty okay. The steak was a little on the bland side for me and I didn't love the price, but I wouldn't mind eating here again if the smoke situation was fixed. Unfortunately, nothing really alluded to me that it was a one-time problem. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in your review. For now, I don't recommend this place because I don't know what PM10 or PM2.5 could be in the air and at what concentrations. I just know it was hazy in the restaurant. It really didn't help that it was under-staff and took about 10-20 minutes for us to be seated, ~10 minutes to order, and ~15 minutes for the food to come out. I recall there being one waiter/cashier, seeing one cook while I was talking to my friend on the cell phone, and one manager telling us it'll be a 5 minute wait to be seated (unless it's the waiter guy also). Honestly, this place has a lot of potential--very quaint. I just can't imagine it's healthy being in the haze.

This place gets busy because the restaurant apparently has agreements with Asian group tours. We happened to enter right before a bus load arrived. The first thing they ask is if we're with the tour. (Because we all rook same!) I let that pass because it wasn't ill-intensioned. But what gets this place the one-star is Mr. Can't Wait Waiter. He arrives at our table all sweaty to take our orders. He has an issue with the salmon order and says he wouldn't recommend it. Okay, so what does he recommend? He doesn't know but demands, "can you make up your mind?" What? You just told us to change it! Later when he's bringing out the soup, he literally throws the spoon on the table. And the entrees, too; he just drops them with a thud in front of us. Alright, the place is busy, we get it, but keep it together, man!

Friendly staff and ok food. Needs more vegetarian options.

Food was ok, nothing special. I had the breakfast burrito. I think my major issue is price, way to expensive for what's on the plate. On the positive side the Staff was very friendly!

More like 3 stars overall but for the Bryce Canyon area it's a solid 4 stars. We actually ate here 3 times (2 dinners, one breakfast) The servers are very friendly. The ambiance is decorated in a cowboy theme with western paraphanelia decorating the walls. We ordered the chips and salsa. The chips are homemade and served hot. The salsa was okay but not very spicy. Hubby ordered the veggie burrito for both meals. He got it with beans and rice, He enjoyed his meals. For one meal I had a chicken sandwich with onion rings. Both were tasty, especially the OR's......I couldn't finish them. I've actually forgotten what I had for my 2nd dinner. This is why one should take notes when you don't plan to write your Yelp review immediately. For breakfast we had hot cereal, hash browns, toast and OJ. I also got scrambled eggs. Breakfast was okay. fyi most of the dinner entrees are $12-$15 but they do come with other items like potatoes, beans & rice, salad. The outside looks a little rustic but the inside is homey. The other diners all seemed happy with their meals, most cleaned their plates.

Sticky tables, tough steak, horrible burger, very bright restaurant. My worst restaurant experience the whole week! And be careful, I saw they added a tip to the bill and we were only a table of 2.

Restaurant changed hands. Worst restaurant I have ever been to. At dinner when I asked for bread they said they did not have any then brought 2 slices of stale Wonder Bread! For breakfast they were out of food except for toast , pancakes and smoked salmon. Bill came and salmon was $13. Toast was $6. Do not go there. Go to lodge!!

Do not hesitate to stop here, good stuff! We happened by here on the way to Bryce Canyon and had an excellent breakfast. The cook does a good job with breakfast basic using good ingredients and the service is great. My wife had the Cowboy steak and eggs and the 4oz flat iron steak was very good, as was my breakfast burrito.

I had the half chicken with vegetables plate for $21 and it was awful. Everything in this restaurant is overpriced, go eat at Ruby's inn restaurant. There are only 2-3 restaurants to eat at Bryce canyon NP next time I will bring my microwave dinner LOL.

I like this restaurant. But when we went to there, they did not have any beer ....and also sparkling water also. They said it is depending on timing...

This is my second time to Bryce canyon. Was actually in a holiday mood whilst there so I judge this place with that mindset. Really at best, ordinary. Didn't have any character, the decor. I had breakfast there and had the American breakfast. Seriously, how wrong can you get. They didn't screw it up but I was hoping for something more. Eggs sausages and hash brown were really ordinary and I didn't enjoy it. I ate it because I needed the energy to do some hikes. So will not come here again. Like my friend said, we should have gone to subway next door.
