Pizza Pie Cafe Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

We've been here on several occasions and I will say every time we go during the lunch (11-1) or dinner (5-7) times it's great. The one time we went in the middle of the afternoon the pizzas weren't quite as fresh cause it was slow, but what do you expect? It's a buffet. The pizza is quite good, not amazing, but for the price and the variety you get it's a good choice. The desert pizzas (especially oreo & raspberry) are excellent. Salad bar is very good. The inside of the reastaurant is updated and clean with several flat screen TV's normally showing ESPN or local sports. I do have a family so maybe I appreciate it more because there's something for everyone and it wont do too much damage to your pocket book. But even if I were single I'd still appreciate it. Overall you may sacrifice just a little bit of quality, but the variety, price and environment more than make up for it in my opinion.

My wife and I tried pizza pie cafe out last night and were not overly impressed. The salad bar looked and tasted fresh, but it had limited options as far as I am concerned. Any time I see artificial bacon on a salad bar I am disappointed. The salad bar feels like a last minute addition to the business model that wasn't thought through very well. The pizzas were made of a thick dough. I am not a fan of thin crust pizza, this dough was just way too thick. There were around fifteen varieties of savory pizza. And about five sweet pizzas. My wife really liked the pesto veggie pizza (the only vegetarian pizza I found.) If you are looking for a standard pizza this is not the place. They had pepperoni, cheese and Hawaiian. Everything else was a specialty, like chicken Alfredo (so so) bbq chicken (with pineapples as a topping. Weird!) Or buffalo wing (overly sweet.) There were 2 "combinations" one called the hillbilly and one called the combination. Both of which had ham on them. The pasta station started out great. The pasta was kept cold in a refrigerator until you are ready to order then heated in boiling water for about thirty seconds . Then handed to you sauceless and hot. They had six sauces to choose from. Two o of which the cream had broken and were completely unappetizing. I did try the Alfredo which was really good after I added salt pepper and Parmesan cheese. They red pepper sauce was really delicious. I wish there had been other ingredients to mix in rather than just pasta and sauce. The desert pizzas I tried were tasty but had way too much bread as I mentioned before. We tried peach, cookie dough ( did not taste like Cooke dough.) Raspberry (very yummy.) Oreo (made with generic Oreos but very good.) I wanted ice cream on mine so I asked if I could buy some. The cashier had to ask a manager. Long story short I got a huge dish of vanilla ice cream probably about a quart. And I paid $4.29 for it. It was great on the pizzas but I had so much left over I made a root beer float for me and my wife to take home and still left some on the table. I know this all sounds very critical but my wife and I did have an enjoyable evening. Naturally a pizza buffet is going to be filled with children, but it was not as loud as I thought. Mostly the parents kept control of their kids. I paid about twenty six dollars including the ice cream. The buffet was about eight and a half per person. Plus a two dollar up charge if you want soda. I would tell you the exact price but I was not given an itemized receipt. I would return only if a friend or someone wanted to go. I would not choose it on my own. I got the value I expected, but was by no means impressed.

Great place to take the family (i.e., kids) for dinner. You don't come here for amazing food, you come here because it's affordable and your indecisive offspring can eat a little bit of all sorts of things and end up full.

I guess I don't get the hatin' on this place. I enjoy this place when its not full of kids. No, its not settebello or fancy schmancy pizza, it is NOT DOMINOS.. i hate dominos. .. but for $4.50.. sign up for the texts and its a tasty and affordable dinner or lunch. Salad bar is fresh, and I rather like the many varieties of pizza. My fave is the bbq chicken. But don't miss the pasta. There are some 6 or 7 types of pasta to choose from and the same variety of sauces. Now the sauces are to die for. I could live on the sauces. Get some breadsticks, sauce, a little pasta.. heck if you're not in the mood for pizza, add a salad to that and you're golden. And you have to try a slice of the OREO dessert pizza. What's with the critical comment 'the dessert pizzas are sweet"? err, DESSERT pizzas? When the $4.50 deal is on, its only 50cents for a drink, and you're set. I really enjoy this place. Just try to go before the anklebiters hit at about 530 - 630. I guess, when or if I would see a wilted salad, I SAY something. Haven't ever seen it there yet. But yes, the sheer numbers of small children might make your evening loud and annoying, so plan accordingly unless you're one of the mob with multiples, then go when you usually do and you and I will not cross paths. I do love kids, just not swinging and racing and screaming through the aisles and knocking my 88 yo mother over. and get off my lawn LOLOLOL.

The only reason I even gave this place a star is for the variety and quantity. If that's all you're looking for, is to fill up your belly, then this is the place. But the food is awful! I servedmyself a little of each thing from their big buffet. But everything was so bad that I only ended up taking a bite from each one. So I pretty much threw away $8 for their lunch buffet. Oh well, lesson learned.

I have 2 kids with Celiac (can't eat gluten). LOVE these guy's accommodation: gluten-free personal pizzas and gluten-free pasta. Happy to eat their fill and more! The whole family is delighted here....my calorie conscious daughter is happy with the salad bar, football playing son eats to his hearts content. I love the pasta. Never had such good pasta at a buffet. All in all, this has become our favorite family restaurant!

Bad pizza. Bad dessert pizza. Ok pasta. Fruit-fly infested salad bar. Pepsi products.

I can describe this place with one word..........YUK! It's run by teenagers that clearly don't care about fresh food. The pizza is stale and old. The salad is droopy and not fresh. Why did I ever walk in the door. The kids and I will never be back! Oh, and the the bathrooms are disgusting!!!!! I was so embarrassed by this place I couldn't bring myself to even check in on yelp.

Cold day. Hungry bellies. Ankle biters in tow. Didn't want to stray far from home and wanted to please the whole group. Pizza Pie seemed like a good plan. It's really just a simple buffet, but it manages to be quite good! Am I surprised or ashamed to admit it? I'm not sure! Started off with a salad. They offer a nice selection of veggies, including spinach, olives, baby corn, cucumbers, and surprisingly lovely cherry tomatoes. Throw in an icy Diet Dr Pepper (you can choose crushed or cubed ice!) and you're set! Their pizza selection includes the standards, cheese, pepperoni, ventures to the exotic, BBQ chicken, chicken Alfredo, and onto the downright strange, macaroni and cheese and spud. They also have delicious cheesy bread sticks that turn over often so they are always fresh. The quality of the dough surprised me, very good! There is also a pasta bar that includes all shapes and sizes of noodles that they finish cooking for you on the spot, so you have hot freshly cooked pasta to smother in your choice of sauces, including marinara, roasted red pepper, Alfredo, etc. Moving on to the dessert, which I shouldn't have indulged in, consisted of 6 or 7 pizzas like raspberry, peach, Oreo, cookie dough and apple. If they threw in soft serve, I would be even happier. They can work on cleanliness at the tables a bit, but they buffet stations were clean and well-manned. You get a lot of bang for your buck. The kids menu price is on a sliding scale, so you don't pay as much for a 4 year old as you would an 11 year old. It's a great value, which the folks of Bountiful love. I went around 2pm, and based on how busy it was, I would steer clear around the noon hour. Go enjoy some tasty eats, keeping in mind that you're visiting a buffet.

Let me fill you in on why I come back to this place despite the negatives: it's the Firefighter Rick pizza. Heavily seasoned chicken, pepperoni, jalapeño, olive and cheese on the standard basic crust. I don't even try the other flavors because they are blah. If these guys could just deliver the pizza, I would be so happy. I like the salad bar. I can see that it is kid and adult friendly and I have never experienced wilted lettuce. I'm aware that they have dessert pizzas but they seem silly to me (do you really want more of that pizza crust??). They also have a pasta bar but it seems very basic and not interesting. This is not a romantic dinner for two spot, or a girlfriends-getting-together-to-chat restaurant. Let me be very clear that this is a loud buffet that is a good value for a big Bountiful family...Lots of kids running around, yelling. I do appreciate that they have buffet etiquette signs posted, but I think the offenders don't read, yet. Despite the noise and kids, I will keep coming back for the Firefighter Rick pizza. Bring on the noise, bring on the funk.

Pizza Pie Cafe is a favorite for our family. Their pizza and pasta has TONS of unique variety from Buffalo Wing pizza to (my favorite) BBQ Chicken pizza. In the mood for something sweet? My wife LOVES their Raspberry Dessert Pizza! Recommend this restaurant to anyone. :)

  • Sarah C.

Meh is a great word for this. I think I would have loved this as a teenager, or if I had a bunch of kids, but as an adult I need more quality in my food. It's not terrible, but this is 100% a place for young-ish families and soccer teams rather than adults looking for a nice slice o' pie. I tried a few slices, and it's pretty junky pizza. The crust is meh, and the toppings are budget-tasting... like someone raided the store-brand for toppings. The dessert pizzas are cloyingly sweet. If you've got a MAJOR sweet tooth, you'll like it. The pasta was the best thing, but it was still just OK to me. The guys serving it were friendly, and I appreciated the selection in pasta type. I think I had cavatappi with a bolognese - adequate, but nothing special. Salad bar was kinda sad. Wilted, bottom-shelf quality toppings, and the dressings were pretty shabby. I think they'd do well to boost the quality there. Bring out some good balsamic/olive oil and some better veggies and I'd be singing a different tune. It's not BAD- but it's not worth it, at least not to me. I won't be going back, but I'm not their target audience - so I doubt I'll be missed ;)

As far as pizza buffets go this is the best I've ever had, but compared to most pizza I've had it was mediocre. I really liked that the pizza was fresh and hadn't sat under a heating lamp for hours. The pasta was fresh and the salad bar is good. I think it's a little pricey, but probably worth it and kids will love it.

I used to love this place until they sent out a text with a deal and when we got there with our party of 9, they said they wouldn't honor it because it was an accident. I suggested maybe giving us a free drink instead and the cashier said, "You lost me" when I was explaining that to her. Not only did they not honor that deal... I was overcharged! I just got my statement and there is a charge of $10.80. I'm not 100% sure how much tax is, but I'm pretty sure it isn't $4.05 on a $6.50 buffet and $.25 drink. Never going back!

  • Stephanie A.

BLAH! Seriously - The food was old and dried out (and we tried 6 different varieties)! The pizzas lacked flavor - Seasonings are not bad people, so use them! - There is nothing for the kids to do, boring atmosphere (they should turn the additional section to an area kids can play in (arcade?). Even my kids were asking when we could leave. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

  • Reggie M.

For variety and price, this is the place. For flavor & ambience.... meh. As you walk in the door, you'll see who the target market is. And perhaps you'll hear them before you enter. This place is fine if you're feeding the hoards, but it's NOT good pizza. Imagine Little Caesars with more variety and twists on the pizza concept. The Gluten-free (which my wife has to eat, and why we went there) was also less than impressive. We can now say that we tried the restaurant. Like Salt City Burger across the street, it's one and done - It's not for us. That's not to say it doesn't have a niche.... it's just not for a couple of old folk, whose minimum standard is Domino's or even DiGiorno.

Seriously. This is what everyone was talking about? We went here because our friends mentioned that it was pretty good. We had no idea what to expect. I walked in and told the lady at the front I had never been there, implying I wanted to know what it was like. Instead she asked me if we both wanted drinks. Then she told us our total and handed us our cups. When I looked confused, she mentioned it was happy hour. I paid thinking it can't be that bad. I turned to the left and realized it was a buffet style pizza place. I immediately felt horrible for paying and trying this place, but we tried to make the best of the situation and make our selections. I tried the pepperoni (OK slice but not very fresh), the chicken wing (which was super sweet and I didn't finish it), the chicken garlic (I ate the whole slice), and the chicken Alfredo (one bite). The slices are smaller and I did see them changing out old pizza while I was there, so that was a positive. We tried dessert pizza. It was edible, but neither of us finished it. I thought about salad, but it looked like the cheap bag salad with no nutritional value, so I passed. My friend got the pasta and she said it was about the same as the pizza. I looked at my table and felt regret. My friend mentioned the best thing she got was her fountain drink. We left and laughed about our awful experience. I will never be back again. I'm surprised I didn't get sick. This place is definitely where you come to shove your face with whatever food you can, not eat for quality and enjoyment.

Good place for kids, not for single guys without kids. Loud, disorganized and full of kids without manners. I had been in the one from north ogden, clearfield and now bountiful. It's like the McDonalds version if Pizza. I guess I have to go anytime but 12 or 6.

  • Jade B.

Used to love this place but man it's gone down hill within the last few years! Went to this location tonight with my family and the pizza tasted old and chewy like it was reheated in a microwave and the place was filthy! The Oreo dessert pizza is always on point though, a little chewy but still a favorite, that's the only reason I can give 2 stars.

We had a birthday party in the upper dining (party) room. We had about 25 people in our group. We reserved the room for a Saturday afternoon. The room was free. Food. I had a very nice salad. There was plenty of items to choose from and the food seemed fresh. Typical salad bar buffet items. The pasta was very good. There were several choices of sauces. I tried two of them and both were hot and flavorful. They did a good job of keeping lots of pizza choices on the buffet line. The pizza I had was tasty. I am not a big fan of thick, chewy crust pizza. Some are. It is all personal preference. I had a couple of pieces of pizza and decided to skip the desert pizza because I had eaten enough white bread for one day. My teenage boys said the desert pizzas were all very sweet. Overall, not outstanding food, but not bad for a low priced buffet. Staff. The greeter was very nice. We had several bus boys come up and clear away the used plates. Everyone of them were helpful and courteous. The manager stopped by for a minute to check and make sure we had everything we needed. (nice touch). Facility. Just a bit dated, but it was clean and well maintained. Our experience was positive and everyone had plenty to eat.
