Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Great atmosphere and nonstandard pizza.

I went in to this restaurant straight. Upon me being seated, I felt as if I were wearing those pointless tight @$$ girl pants that dudes wear now and almost mildly gay. I was told the decor was "modern" as was the food and portions of said food being labeled "modern" also. The place isn't so much a pizzeria as it is an establishment trying to be a downtown New York restaurant with similar pricing and similar portions of food which just happens to be located in a conservative yet overly religious Mormon city.. HOWEVER, despite higher prices and smaller quantities and a WAY too expensive priced bruschetta, the food was very tasty and fresh with a zest, plus the service was of a top quality. The wine list caught me off guard mainly because Arellas had wine (see above Mormon comment) and it wasn't a bad selection per se. If you want to go on a more expensive "try and impress a certain someone" date, go here. If you want a pizza that is just pizza, go to Zeponie's that is up the road.

LOVED this place! By happy coincidence we tried Arella's on Saturday...awesome atmosphere and AMAZING pizza! I do not consider myself to be sheltered as far as food goes, but this place took pizza to the next level. We got the Arella pizza...SO GOOD!!! I will most definitely be going back and telling everyone I know to try it out. Go go go!

Best pizza I've had in Utah. We had three different pizzas (margarita, the carver, pesto chicken) and they were all equally great. We finished with their chocolate calzone. Great job.
(5)Matt H.
Great pizza. Great atmosphere. Great service. The classic pizza was great, the side salad was big and the garlic bread was tasty.
(5)M S.
Very disappointing experience the food is ok but the service very poor. No one acknowledged us when we walked in, we sat ourselves and waited over 10 minutes to get menus and to order. They restaurant wasn't even busy. My pizza came out and the server almost drop it when she put the pizza in the middle of the table, our drinks were not refilled. Never going back

Tried this place a few weeks ago, and have to say I have no complaints! The service was pretty quick, and the pizza was really tasty! Glad to have them so close by! Great place for a date night.
(5)Deano G.
Okay.... I still love this place and will continue to go, but I'm a little disappointed with the take out. I always eat at the restaurant to ensure the quality and freshness is right where I want it to be, but if you take it home the pizza steams in the box and the crust fails. Additionally the side salad for $7 bucks is worth about $2... Make a fresh one at home and save yourself some money.
(3)Ian C.
Pretty good pizza. A little pricey but close to east coast, could use better ingredients though.
(4)Chelsea C.
Amazing food, fabulous decor, and great customer service! Arella is the place to go in Bountiful! Italian Sodas are amazing, pear & pecan salad and the pink pizza with goat cheese is our FAV! Oh, and don't forget a chocolate calzone for dessert! YUM!
(5)Sonal P.
We stopped in this cute little restaurant on our way to Snowbasin from SLC. The pizza was fresh and delicious. They offered numerous lunch specials for every palate. The ingredients were fresh, the quality was great and the service was really nice. I had the pink pizza and thought it was really yummy. My friends ordered various different pizza, some with pepperoni others veggie pizzas - everyone really enjoyed their food. I prefer my food with a kick to it, so ask for some Franks to spice it up a little.
(4)Sandra B.
We had the white pizza. IT WAS SO GOOD! We also had a specialty salad. It had candied pecans and blueberries. So yummy! I definitely recommend this place! Prices were good, too.
(5)Jessica R.
Go here if you want quick, crappy customer service & over-priced menu items. They like to rush their customers! Oh and watch your step. My 3 year old face planted on their floor in front of the hostess & she didn't even acknowledge the fall. Luckily she didn't hit her face too hard or this place would be paying for the medical expenses! Then instead of asking if my daughter was okay the server who knew about the fall, was in a hurry to take the order. People like them make me shake my head & wonder how they're still in business? Needless to say, we won't be returning but we will tell everyone why they should NOT give Arella Pizzeria any business.
(1)Walter C.
My God! Smile! The people that work here need to smile. At least act friendly. It really sets the mood of the place. The food off sets the mood of the place. The pizza's are good. Can't beat a fire brick oven for making pizza's. Need to come back and try the pasta dishes. Hopefully, the people that work here will cheer up by then.

I just called to order take-out and they informed me that they had sent the cooks home and that the kitchen was closed because they hasn't had a customer for an hour. I called well before the posted closing time of 10:00. What kind of establishment operates this way? We drove an hour to eat there. I have had the pizza before and it's alright. The service was slow and the restaurant was empty. We have a gift card we were trying to use. I might just give it away. I wonder if they'll still be in business the next time we make it up to Bountiful.

When it comes to Pizza, thisplace is Bountiful's Best Kept Secret.
(4)Steff T.
Decent. Had the Arella pizza; the pears were cut a bit thick to be on this type of pizza. Bruschetta was great! I would give them one more chance but I would expect more from this place for the price.
(3)Marianne F.
I have been happy every time I've eaten here. The best thing is the specialty salad which is not on the menu. And the classic pizza is my fave. Our crust has never been soggy like seta bello and the service is always good and we never have to wait. The chocolate calzone is seriously soooo good. BUT this being said, nothing compares to centro in cedar city. I dream about that place!!!
(4)Abigail K.
I don't like giving bad reviews but this place was over priced, under flavored, and hardly any pizza in a large for that matter. We ordered wings and pizza. There were five wings... The flavor was good though. Pizza was just thin, oily and flavorless.... I will try again... I hope it's better!
(3)A S.
This place is awesome, I love their pizza and is almost close to the type of pizza I would get in NY, at least the closest you'll get in Utah. It is expensive but they put time, thought and energy into making a good product and it has always been consistently good. This is not your kids pizza joint, it seems like a place I would bring a date if I wanted to impress them. The Decor is modern and higher end, and does not look like a kids pizza joint. This is a place I would like to see succeed as good pizza in Utah is rare and I would be sad if this place didn't make it For the owners: I would give it 5 stars but I think their wait staff could improve, they either come across as kind of snotty, uncomfortable or awkward. How they should act is when someone comes in the door is greet them with a big smile, be genuine about it, and don't stand and linger or stare at your clients as their eating or text message where clients can see. They should hire people that are comfortable in their own skin, have confidence and smile a lot naturally, not a fake smile. It's not that the service is bad but the people hired that seem a little awkward in the food service industry, maybe a little training and development might help. Or go and steal some employees from In and Out Burger as they have specific standards and training on Customer Service that would be right for any restaurant.
(4)Karen S.
Food was good and the service was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu items. A little pricey but the ambiance is great!
(4)Susan R.
Overpriced and pizza had no flavor. Only thing going for it was the decor and even our salad was not good at all!
(1)Robb L.
For Utah this is a very pleasant change of high quality thin crust pizza. As I travel and have had pizza in most cities short of NYC and San Francisco this is right up there. Service is spotty as some of the girls are more worried about their phones than working but t h at is unfortunately become par for the course
(5)Steve F.
How do under cook and burn a pizza at the exact same time. If you want to see how it is done, this is the place for you. Overprice sterile environment and burnt raw pizza. I would rather haven frozen pizza
(2)Surly M.
The one star is for the pizza, which yes, is yummy. However, service is what matters and this place seriously lacks it. After reading the other yelp reviews I chose to call in an order and pick it up. 20 minutes after ordering my husband runs in to grab the pizza. 30 minutes after that I had to go in after him. 20 mins after that we were finally able to leave with pizza in hand, & no discount. To recap: 1) pizza not ready at the 20-minute mark like they said it would be. 2) after discovering they had either forgotten or messed up our order, it took another 30 minutes for them to - you guessed it - still not have the pizza ready. 3) did I mention at this point they gave us the wrong receipt to pay? And we are the ones who noticed, not them. 4) an hour and ten minutes after ordering one large pizza, success! 5) making and cooking pizzas is just too complicated for this place. As is the common courtesy of offering a discount and/or a free item on the next visit for the inconvenience. 6) HASHTAG CLUELESS
(1)Dale D.
Wood oven. Great crust. Quality ingredients. Excellent sauce. One star off for high prices without more care when assembling the pie. Given were spending 2x cost there should be more care on pizza assembly to be perfect every time. But regardless, it's still great pizza by far over the cheese grease combos found elsewhere.
(4)Danny W.
Arella is a gem in the Bountiful area. We've been here twice as of this review and have enjoyed it both times. Surprisingly, my favorite thing are the hot wings. They are super moist and the sweet heat sauce (mix of hot and honey BBQ) is incredible. We really enjoyed the pink pizza with the mix of marinara and Alfredo. I recommend Arella to anyone.
(5)J. B.
We really like Arella. We started with the caprese salad, which was served de-constructed, so the ingredients are separated and you put them together. We liked it. We always love a margherita pizza and this one was enjoyable. The highlight was dessert - a chocolate calzone. When it came to the table, we cut into it and this decadent chocolate goodness oozed out. We may have asked for a spoon to be sure we cleaned the plate of all of the delicious dessert . . . and then ordered another one. It's became a favorite dessert.
(4)Natasha V.
This place is delicious. There are two reasons why I didn't give this 5 stars. 1. Every-time I have gone in there it is super noisy. Kids are screaming, which isn't the restaurants fault but they could have picked a different building that could have prevented that. 2. It is somewhat pricey. Even with these minor set backs the food is impeccable. I highly recommend you try to bruschetta, it is MIND BLOWING! ...everything is there....all the food is to die for!
(4)Andrew S.
This place always has good food, however, the manager/host always makes us wait at the door before seating us even if there are plenty of empty tables. I am not sure what that is about. It wont stop us from going it just seems like he get over whelmed easily.
(3)Steve B.
If your day spa had a pizzeria attached, it would be Arella's. If style over substance is your thing, you'll feel right at home here. The food is good, but the portions are small and pricey. For my money, I'd rather go to The Pie and leave full. I won't be back.
(2)Candice S.
Arella is most definitely a "girl's night" kind of place. The menu is an array of pastas, pizza and salad. Garden salad is $6.99? Seems a little insane for watery iceberg lettuce... Started with an order of garlic bread. A wimpy and dry bread was what we were met with. Seriously unimpressive given the chic feel of this place. It reminded me of the preprepared garlic bread you buy at the supermarket. Against the advice of the server (worst up-sell of a menu item I've ever seen) I ordered the Arella pizza. A delightfully strange combination of bleu cheese, mozzarella, gorgonzola, pecans and pears topped with arugula. Really tasty, might be a bit sweet for some. But after glancing at my fellow diners sloppy and cold ravioli and over sauced alfredo, I was definetly glad I didn't listen to the unadventerous server. This pizza is the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars. It was delightful. For dessert I ordered the chocolate calzone. A disgusting sloppy mess of a thing. Pizza dough wrapped around chocolate and cream cheese? Oozing grease and separating fats. Bleh. Don't be tempted by the description. It is gross! Most disappointing was the service. The place was way overstaffed, a bunch of folks twiddling their thumbs while we tried to flag down anyone that would pay attention to us. My advice would be to get the Arella pizza and get it to go!
(3)Phong L.
This is probably the closest thing to getting pizza from Little Italy in New York. Thin chewy crust with the brick oven taste. I recommend getting the Combination pizza. The added basil really makes the pizza aromatic and tasty. For a appetizer, I got the garlic brea which was really good. The bread was nice and fluffy in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The amount of butter and garlic is perfect without making it feel drenched. For the price it's really worth going. I would not recommend getting the large though since it was hard to hold.
(5)Allison M.
Really enjoyed our dinner at Arellano! I had the Margherita Pizza and my husband chose the Sweet BBQ Chicken pizza. The were both delicious! Our service was great and we will definitely dine here again!
(4)Lena M.
If you had asked me six months ago, I would have given five stars. Since then, the ingredients do not seem as fresh and the sauces taste like they come from a can. I still enjoy the Arella pizza though; it cannot be beat.
(4)Tye B.
Probably closer to a 4, in fact I just changed it to a 4. A bit higher priced than I think the food warrants. I'm not typically a price watcher, but it pings a bit with me. Their pizzas are clean and I like the assortment of toppings offered. Service is almost always good and the beer menu is pretty good. It's a very sanitary establishment and even when it's busy, it doesn't get too noisy or bogged down. I smell good management. No problems with Arella, just my typical over expectational review where par is probably akin to a birdie for the rest of ya'll! Eat here if you have a bit of discerning palate and are in the mood for a brick oven pizza.
(4)Bill F.
My family and I come here whenever we are craving good pizza in Bountiful. I personally love the pink pizza. The garlic cheese bread with dipping ranch is great as well. I would give it 5 stars but the only negative that I can think of is that the staff, albeit attentive, seemed to want to be elsewhere. Oh well, the food made up for it and we'll definitely be back.
(4)C F.
I've been here 3 times and each time it's the same. Great fire oven pizza. It's hard to screw up pizza but this place has great tasting pizza. The layout is also great. You can see everyone in the place from every seat but it doesn't feel crowded which is impressive because there are booths or chair booth combos or chair seated tables. They also have a bar area that gives you a good view of how they make the pizza. If you go a little bit earlier in the day like 5 or 6 it's not busy and since it's new they aren't flooded with the old person crowd who have to eat before 4 PM. The menu is a perfect size and they don't overcharge you when you mix and mesh the pizza combos like most places do.
(5)Jeremy L.
Awesome spot for a higher scale pizza. BBQ is the bomb! The garlic bread is always perfectly cooked!
(4)Amy O.
Finally! A pizza place in this town with STYLE & CLASS! I've been to many fancy restaurants from NY to San Fran & this place is impressive! The decor is 5 star! If you want romantic, social or family it offers all! The food is 5 star! My husband says" the spaghetti w/meatballs is better than Grandmas!". . . I LOVE the pear salad (add chicken!) My kids can't get enough of the mozzarella sticks and fettuccine! And you KNOW we have to have a PIZZA with it all! It's a Pizzeria after all! if you leave this place without dessert then shame on you! ; ) Some of the other reviews mentioned portions & prices- if you want cheap and big this place might not be for you, but there is a Little Cesar's up the street- gag! You get what you pay for and this place is quality and class! We always leave full and happy! Great for a romantic date or just to grab a pizza with the fam! Locally owned family business with friendly faces and great food!
(5)Dan T.
For the area, for pizza, this place is doing just great. We had a bunch of cheesy balls, wings, and 3 personal pizzas. All were great. The service was a solid 4.5/5 and the decor/location/personality was all delightful. When I'm in Bountiful again (often) and in the mood for sit-down pizza (rare) I will be back here.
(4)Chelsea M.
So expensive!! Pizza is just ok. Not worth the crazy prices IMO!
(2)Dan T.
Very good pizza and an excellent salad. We also enjoyed the garlic cheese bread. I think the prices were good and totally in line for the quality of the food.
(4)Mike K.
Nice inside. Way too expensive. Food's not bad, but their costs are a third above anyone else.
(3)Brenna D.
It's sad when the decor is more impressive than the food. Whenever I go to a new pizzeria, I get the Bruschetta as an appetizer and a Pizza Margarita because they are Italian basics and I think that those dishes give me a good idea of the restaurant quality. When the Bruschetta arrived I thought it looked a little skimpy. I've gotten a lot more Bruschetta for the same price at many other restaurants. I look a bite and the first taste I got was delicious, sweet grape tomatoes and I didn't care that the serving wasn't large. Then I tasted the Brie underneath! YUCK!!! I guess I didn't read the menu closely, otherwise I'd have ordered it without Brie, but it absolutely ruined the dish for me. If that was my only complaint, I'd have given them at least 4 stars. It's not their fault that I didn't read the menu closely. But the Brie was nothing compared to this: there was some chopped basil as a garnish so I had a bite and I tasted black licorice! They were obviously using Thai Basil! What are they thinking!?!?! Did they think I wouldn't notice the anise- black licorice flavor? I was absolutely appalled! Even if I liked the flavor of black licorice (which I truly hate) I wouldn't like it on a Pizza Margarita! Is the buyer utterly stupid and doesn't know that there is there is a difference between Sweet Italian Basil and Thai Basil? I'm still so annoyed by this! In an ITALIAN restaurant, you use ITALIAN basil! Other than the food, I had issues with the staff. They came across as lazy, and there were too many of them. As a matter of fact, the only other occupied table in the restaurant was staff, which I thought was extremely tacky. The waitress was mediocre. I voiced my disappointment with the hidden Brie and the basil and she never apologized or asked if I'd like to try something else. I felt like the camera crew of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares should be there filming the overabundance of staff standing around looking stupid while the one table of customers complains about the food. Altogether, Arella is VERY disappointing!
(2)Erik M.
Awesome food, especially the wood-fired pizza. Have eaten there twice and am really impressed with the thin-crust either with pesto or red sauce. Salad dressings are good as well. The ambience is pretty but loud with the high ceilings and concrete floor (that's why only 4 stars). Just get a family with kids, which is all the time in Centerville, and it's as loud as a Walmart in there.
(4)Alan M.
I appreciate what I think Arella is trying to do here, but it doesn't come together for me. Their Neapolitan-inspired approach to pizza makes a sad compromise. If you're hoping for the Davis County Settebello, you will be disappointed. Little details like Italian sodas drowning in whipped cream give away the race-to-the-Utah-bottom approach of this me-too pizzeria. Still, the food was decent, and service, etc. was satisfactory, and it's very kid-friendly.
(3)Chad L.
I really like the appetizers here, the salad is good, and the pizza's are good. But they are very expensive. It's New York style and close to New York prices. I would give it a higher rating but for price and but it's really not kid friendly at all. Nothing like giving a 2 yr old a full Glass glass of water to spill all over.
(3)Blue B.
Noisy. Overpriced. Slow service. The cooks look dirty and the pepperoni was nasty.
(1)Mark B.
I've lived in Italy, owned a restaurant, and love calzones and pizzas. There are utility pizzas when you want a pizza belly and don't really care what it tastes like. Arella's is not one of these. I place their calzone at the 2nd best in the world outside of Italy. First goes to Pete's in Spokane (the original Pete's near Gonzaga). My wife and I walked into this attractive, modern restaurant, sat at the bar, enjoyed a wine from a surpisingly good wine list, watched what was going out to other tables, and then decided to order. My wife had the chicken wing pizza. This was one ROCKIN' pizza! Outstanding. The crust is p e r f e c t. I tried to get some idea of the making of the crust out of the gentleman manning the oven, but failed. I want my pizza crust to be like this. I had a calzone. Actually....I had two calzones. It was so FRICKIN' good that, after eating my first one, I ordered the very same thing and took it home for lunches later that week. The service was outstanding. I asked for, and received a little marinara and olive oil to put over the top of the calzone (as is usually done in Italy). The gentleman on the oven was very knowledgeable and very, very good. This restaurant is a reason for me to return to SLC again.
(5)Whitney P.
Took a chance on a Friday night at this new place without any idea what to expect. If you're expecting an average pizza parlor with the basics, go elsewhere. They have a few inventive pizzas, quality and tasty ingredients, a nice selection of salads that are a little pricey and not much of a pasta selection. I believe they have the best beer selection in davis county. I'll come back when I'm in the mood for a pizza and willing to pay a little bit higher prices than the typical "stand-in-line" places in this area.
(4)Wendi J.
Once again... Garlic bread is awesome!!!!!
(5)Pat C.
Easy... New York style... Thin crust... Wood fired... Awesome.
(5)Taylor M.
Addictive sauces! Freshest toppings and top quality fresh mozzarella! Amazing desserts! Wish I could eat here every day!
(5)Jeremy J.
I was really surprised to see such a contemporary interior in Davis County. The mainstay is pizza, which is a good thing. They have a real pizza oven. The pizza is a really good thin crust. The Margherita is very good and reminiscent of the other wood fired pizza in SLC - Settebello. The namesake Arella is good considering that it is pizza with nuts and pears on it. This is a real treat for Davis County
