Environment: B (+0.5) We met here for a business meeting/luncheon. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outside on the patio and the seating was excellent (little padded benches that were really comfortable). The only reason there was a -0.5 was because the hosts/hostesses sat a large family with a dozen kids next to us. When a customer tells you they are there on business, be mindful of who/where you're seating people around them (and for reference they have a massive patio so this is not a completely unreasonable request). The end result was while we were trying to talk, we had random kids running around with balloons chasing each other and screaming. Food Quality: A (+1) Everything looked and tasted great. I had the fish tacos at the recommendation of the server and they came out great. I usually hate black beans and rice, but both were surprisingly good. Selection: A (+1) The menus are actually books with pages after pages of food items. I'm not sure how often food items get updated here, but I imagine they have seasonal items. Don't let the books fool you though - there are ads throughout the menu books, so while they are long, this makes them seem much more extensive than they really are. Service: A (+1) Our Server was Julian and he did an excellent job. He had just the right amount of attentiveness to where he wasn't nagging but he wasn't neglectful either. Drinks stayed filled and he made excellent recommendations for us all and we were thoroughly impressed with his service and knowledge of the menu. Value: A (+1) For the food quality and level of service, I felt as if the cost that I paid for my meal was more than justified. It's also important to consider the location - being inside the mall around other premium restaurants (like Perry's Steakhouse and Yard House), Cheesecake Factory is actually competitive on pricing, all things considered.

It's been almost 2 weeks since I've been and I still can't get over how bad this service was! The ONLY reason it is getting a 2 star is because I love this company. Every location I go to; doesn't matter if it's in STL where I currently live or in NJ/NY when visiting family. The food is always good. Now let me tell you about this visit. Honestly this was the worst service I have ever had. We paid our bill and went across the street. We were on vacation. Talking about moving out there within the next year. We were at 6flags earlier that day then stopped by to do some shopping. (He had showers at the hotel so we're in cute dinner clothes. We didn't come straight from 6flags) anyways. Most reviews were negative towards the host. However all 4 of them were welcoming and friendly. One day us at a little two top. We waited almost 10 minutes before a server came and we both asked for water for now. We both had a headache. Probably from being in the sun all day. I wanted a cocktail but she had someone else drop off the water. Okay no big deal. So we came by for our order and we still weren't felling that well. So I told her we realized we aren't THAT hungry we are just going to do some apps. We ordered 2 and I asked to keep the 1 menu. (We were going to order more but never got the chance). I guess since we said we weren't that hungry, that meant we weren't worth her time. I'm in the industry. TRUST ME I would have been worth her time. (Her name was Melody, Mellie, or Melanie) we had to ask a busser who barely spoke English for more water. She walked by and dropped off our check. Clearly she didn't want us to order more. We ended up doing next store to get cocktails and food and dessert.

I've been to several Cheesecake Factories in multiple states and I've been pleased/content with them up until my visit to the La Cantera location yesterday (5/30/2012). There was so much wrong that I'm wondering if we should even give this place another chance. Usually, after a bad restaurant experience I will still go back a second and perhaps a 3rd time so long as I view the cons as possible one-time occurrences. First, I wonder if I happened to be assigned the same waitress as another reviewer (David R.). Although we were not treated nearly as bad as David seems to have been, our waitress seemed disengaged and ho-hum about her job. She made us feel like she really didn't want to be serving us and she didn't have a welcoming demeanor about her. My wife's choice words were, "stuck up". The next negative point is one that really got to me from the get-go. As I was reviewing the menu I happened to look down at the fork that was sitting in front of me -- it had an old lettuce leaf plastered to it, yummy :).

I went to Cheesecake factory yesterday afternoon with my mom to celebrate National Cheesecake Day (all slices were 1/2 off, which was awesome). We sat in the bar area (the bar tops and actual bar are first come first serve) and the service was very good despite the bartenders being busy. Their happy hour has a nice selection of food for $5.50. We ordered the warm crab and artichoke dip (AMAZING) and the happy hour burger. On previous occasions I've tried the avocado egg rolls (super good!), the sweet corn tamale cakes (very flavorful but they fall apart easily) and the spinach dip (just okay). On this visit we also tried the Greek salad for $6.75 (it was pretty disappointing - very bitter arugula and too much dressing), next time we'll just get the regular salad. The cheesecake was delicious as always and to our surprise on our receipt we received a survey offer for a $10 e-card to use on our next visit. We will definitely be back. Thanks!

I have loved the cheesecake factory since I was a child and continue to be a huge fan. I love how diverse the menu is and continue to try new things and enjoy every bite! Love the mac and cheese and the avocado egg rolls!!

Not good! The food tasted like a fast food chicken nugget dipped in cold sweet n sour sauce. The service was slow and waiter was not attentive. The cheesecake I ordered was okay. This place has def gone down.

This place is always packed no matter what time or day it is. Luckily they have a nice bar with good cold drinks! They have a great menu with big and small entrees. Of course the selection of cheesecakes is heaven.

The food is always pretty good except once with the fried Mac n cheese but they did try to fix the problem. The combo of chicken meidera and steak Diane is always a great choice and what I usually always order. As for the cheesecake my favorite thus far is dulce de leche. Try it you don't be disappointed.

We've been in a happy hour rut lately so my friend suggested Cheesecake Factory since once upon a time he loved their mai tais. Great happy hour, but, pretty sparse crowd... I enjoyed quite a few $5 cosmopolitans....yum. My friend tried just about every other drink offered on the hh menu: Long Island iced tea, margarita, some kinda spiked lemonade, & one more that I'm forgetting. The cosmo was the clear winner, in my opinion. Selected apps are also $5 each....we started with the avocado egg rolls. Good, but the cumin in them tasted out of place...and I love cumin. The fried mac & cheese was amazing...be sure to dip into the delish vodka sauce on the plate! The tamale corn cakes were also sweet, moist & yum...I honestly could've done without all the topping and just eaten the cake. Finally, the mini corn dogs were good (we had an odd craving for corn dogs?!). The bad: screaming, screeching KIDS. Ugh. Two at two different tables made everyone miserable for at least a few hours. Not the restaurant's fault or control but c'mon parents. After a while, we wished a tumble onto the marble floor (yes, we are terrible people....but I'm sure we weren't the only ones...)

Food: I always wince when I see huge menus. Too many options, not likely anything is fresh. I've come here a few times with friends and always disappointed by the food. I'm not a cheesecake person, so I wouldn't go out of my way to get one from here. When I do get them, I think they taste fine. Service: The service I've encountered has always been friendly on the food service side. Hostess wise, I feel like they don't really care most of the time. But they're professional at least. Location: This is one of the few restaurants in La Cantera that's easy to spot. It's on the southeast corner of the mall and has a parking lot nearby. It's near Yard House. If you see B&N, you're nearby! Just keep heading east. If I ever do go another time, I'll stick with a salad. Everything else is just a lot of wasted calories. Overall, I just don't get the hype. I'd give it 1.5 stars if I could.

The food was not great, but the service was awful. They came out twice to tell as sorry, then came out to tell they had to recook something. We got done eating and wanted deserts, but could not get the waiter to helps us. I will not be coming back.

Server Victoria R was great, food was great. Only complaint is that the hostess / greeters are totally unprofessional. When we went it was very busy and cold/ raining outside so everyone was inside, girls were in and out of some cabinet, which is fine, but were very rude each time, like the customers were annoying and in their way. Other than that, everything was great. Update.. Not nearly as busy when leaving, same girls in front, no thank you, no have a nice night. I know this isn't a super expensive place but very tacky for sick a nice place and everyone else was great.

Came here for the first time with my husband as a date, we had the cheese sticks (triangles) they were the best we ever had. I got the Angel hair pasta with shrimp and he had the Mac and cheese burger and we loved them both. Our server was great and attentive and it was a very calm atmosphere. If you haven't been here at least try it once. I need to come back to eat the cheesecakes

The Cheesecake Factory was a late night decision when not much else was open. This is a nice location, the staff is friendly and the service is pretty good. I always only order small plates from the lighter fare menu. I don't want to even attempt the calorie count on some of the main dishes, I'm glad they have "light" options. This is certainly a "cheat day" restaurant. I really enjoyed the warm asparagus salad. The grilled artichoke is done well, the marinade separates it from Yardhouse's grilled artichoke, a nice flavor. I like the summer rolls, but no shrimp here. I think I saw one baby one, don't expect more than that. My date got sliders, they were sort of piled on the plate. Overall a good experience.

3.5 stars this location is always jam packed. if you have a party of more than 2, expect a decent wait, especially on weekends! the great thing about cheesecake factory is that there's something for everyone. prices are average and food is usually pretty good. my only complaint is that the last two times i went, my bbq chicken salad had really wet lettuce... and it was kinda bitter-tasting so i had to drench it in dressing, which i normally use little to none of on my salads. also, their entrees are all huge! not something to complain about, but i never end up having room for dessert haha. service can be a little hit or miss. the servers always seem to be running around and sorta stressed out and it can be awhile before they come back to your table to take your order or check on you. don't come here for a quick meal, but if you have time and need a break from shopping, it's a great spot. p.s. if you have at&t, service inside the restaurant is basically nonexistent. that's saying a lot because i usually get service everywhere!

I regret the 20,000 calories I consumed in the two bites I could actually swallow. Easily the worst Cheesecake Factory I've been to. The service I've had in my few time at this location were fine but the food is awful. The food really doesn't meet up to the price or reputation that this restaurant stands at. I can never have more than a few bites because the food is so greasy and buttery. Imagine eating a stick of butter ... That is what every dish here is like. On top of that, the ridiculously greasy food will make you sick for hours after.
Yay for gift cards. A little more spendy than our usual fare. However the waiter informed us of the lunch portion meals, less cost and they SAID less food. The portions were still huge. Had the meatloaf, interesting flavor, not sure what the seasoning is they used but it was good. They use brown gravy on it and the mashed potatoes, SCORE! And then there's the cheese cake. Tuxedo chocolate something, don't remember the exact name. If you like chocolate don't pass this one by. The wife had the red velvet, it was terrific also.

What's to say... Their menu is huge and portion sizes are extravagant. I could do w/o a text book of choices, it makes it difficult to choose anything. I always take home leftovers... I ask for to-go boxes as we order our dinner. I get some strange looks but I don't care. I can't eat 2 lbs of meatloaf plus 3 cups of mashed potatoes. Wait times are hit or miss. Go on a weekend and expect an hour or more... Duh. Go on a weekday and you shouldn't encounter more than a 30 min wait. They do move swiftly though so you probably won't have an actual hour wait. Staff is decent - typically friendly and prompt with drinks/food... It's just so busy we feel rushed to eat and pay. They are okay for a chain- husband went for his first time and said "they should stick to their name" (hinting that they should only do cheesecakes).

Love eating here and have never ever had bad service or a bad meal at this place. Sometimes the wait is long because everyone else loves the place, too! The 'Black-out' cake is so delicious!!! I try a different dish each time. The food is so beautifully prepared. The staff will treat you like royalty. Enjoy@

It's the Cheesecake Factory, what do you expect? A meal consisting of 2,000 calories that is completely flavorless and overpriced. We received nice service which is always great but I mean, I have never eaten food in San Antonio but I am sure there is better options

Stopped at The Cheesecake Factory last night for a quick bite. I had to have some cheesecake. I ordered the key lime pie....It was DELSIH!!! My hubby ordered the tiramisu cheesecake. He loved his as well. Our son ordered a club sandwich. It looked yummy and he enjoyed it. I'm thinking that'll be my lunch next time i'm there. Nice evening and of course i'll be back :-)

My friends and I came here for a girls night, desperate to fill our hungry stomachs after waiting an hour and a half for a table at Whiskey Cake and then being told it would be another 40 minutes. Otherwise, normally I avoid low quality chains such as this place. I definitely learned my lesson at the Austin location many years back that Cheesecake Factory is extremely overpriced for very poor quality and low flavor food. But I figured I'd give it another chance, especially considering how hungry I was. The only good things were the warm molasses bread (which I do admit was delicious), and the nice ambiance. Other than that, none of the food ordered by my group of 6 tasted good by any means. I ordered the Da Vinci Pasta which was extremely sweet, and I was turned off by the large amount of oil and cubes of sauteed chicken. My other friend ordered the Chicken and Biscuits -- overall very bland. Our waitress was nice but the food took a while to come out, as well as our checks. In the end I paid $18 for lackluster pasta that I totally could have made better with a jar of sauce at home. I will definitely never return to Cheesecake factory again! Fool me once, fool me twice... Well, you know...

Hands down, the BEST happy hour you can get. $5 apps and $5 cocktails including a Cosmopolitan, Long Island, and wine. You have to sit in the bar Mon-Fri from 4-6 for HH. No kids. Nice atmosphere. Lots of choices. Bartenders are friendly.

Cheesecake was great. It better be its in their name. Our waitress sucked. Had family in for a vacation and iur waitress was blah. Never smiled looked annoyed. Had to ask numerous times for silverware and refills. Also just noticed others on here got food poisoning. ...well so did I! That explains it now! Only if others request but not going to eat on my own

Been to Cheesecake Factory many times but this time was really disappointed. My husband ordered 3 drinks, but was charged for 5. We explained to the manager of the typo but he would not agree with us. He said the waitress would not charge if the drink was never ordered. We told him that we had to tell her a few times about our drinks before it was brought to our table. He took off just 1 drink instead of 2. My husband and I were so tired and didn't feel like explaining ourselves again that we just ended up paying for a drink we never ordered.

I had not been to a Cheesecake Factory in a very long time; however, we were out at La Cantera doing some shopping and got hungry. 1. If there is a negative -- it's that the menu will overwhelm you. I appreciate being able to find all types of food genres, but...this was nuts! 2. The wait staff was top notch. They were better than some high end steakhouses that I'll not be naming. 3. The food was good. Really good. I would have easily had another meal if I could have taken the leftovers home. 4. The location is nice and large. 5. Strollers -- They have an area to leave your stroller in the restaurant. The problem is that it's where everyone is trying to walk through (or so it seems) -- and then I know I saw at least one other stroller just like ours. It made the entrance seem more crowded than necessary. All in all -- a nice afternoon lunch while shopping.

The location is great. I love this shopping center. The portions here an fantastic. Prices... you need a shiney penny..very shiney. The wait staff was very friendly. We just ordered cheesecake and drinks. The cheesecake was seriously amazing.. so rich and creamy. The bar drinks were decent too.

First time at The Cheesecake Factory, I went with the American classic Spaghetti and Meatballs. I thought the noodles were hard, but i overlooked it because I was distracted but the flavor of it. Spaghetti was spot on delicious. I would give it five star but the whole dish was served only with TWO meatballs. Come on man, wouldn't hurt to add in a few more.

This place never fails. The cheesecakes are divine & you can't go wrong with their blue cheese burger. You probably cant handle a regular meal & cheesecake though, so pace yourself. :)

As expected, a 35 minute wait at 730 on a Thursday but hey, its Cheesecake Factory, expect a lot of good food. When the host tried to seat us, in a very narrow area that would create issues for servers to walk by, I had to ask to be moved to another table that had ample space for a stroller. Normally I wouldn't have brought the stroller to the table but our toddler was sleeping after fighting naps all day, so we were;t gonna mess up a good thing. Our server was very nice and attentive to all our needs so I would give 4 stars to her. However, don't order chicken piccata from this place. The chicken was cooked wrong, it was terrible. Then the sauce was almost like a soup with green stuff floating all over and scarce capers. I love capers and thats a huge reason why I order this plate, but I guess the price of capers these days is up there with gold. I gave one of the three pieces of chicken to my husband who likes to vacuum up my extras like an anteater but even he didn't like it. In all, I think I ate one piece and had a few bites of the pasta. My husband ordered the Ballagio chicken I believe, its lightly fried and crispy, very thin, topped with arugula and prosciutto. As I looked at his plate in envy, he devoured it and claimed it was glorious. Our son had bow tie pasta with meat sauce, it looked good but they were holding back on the sauce, so he didn't finish it. I would suggest as far as cheesecakes go, the lemon raspberry is incredible. No military discounts are offered here, boo on you Cheesecake.

We were a party of 6 adults and 3 toddlers/babies. Our waiter was fast, semi observant and nice. Upon arrival we were seated on the patio quickly and with the cool front that moved in it was quite nice. We ordered drinks and then our meal. Everything tasted yummy. My biggest PROBLEM which is actually more feedback is that the highchairs are old and need to be replaced and/or a good scrubbing. We had 3 highchairs at our table in which all 3 were dirty. Like when we wiped them down they came up brown :-( All in all I still gave them 5 stars as this is an easy and quick fix that I hope they observe.

The worst CCF I have ever been to; this place needs new management quick. The Evelyn Favorite Pasta is so simple how could you mess that up? The avacado eggrolls, please make them to order dont dish out old dry food...wow. Truly disappointed in the quality of the product and the service of location. They swiped my card on an incorrect bill and they didn't realize it until I said, "this is not my check". And the bathrooms were a mess. I'm done.

Went here for lunch today, and will probably not return for anything other than cheesecake. Our original nameless server got our drink order while her hands were full of dirty dishes from the table next to us, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer(which was brought out by another nameless server), which were okay in flavor, although as our table was set with no knives, we had to ask a passing server for some. Our nameless server took our food order, then told us the evening shift was starting and we would be getting Jessica as our new server. Our food was brought out by surprise! Another nameless server. Presumably Jessica checked on us about 1/4 of the way into our meal asking if it was okay. Since I'm a server and was trying to have a nice day I didn't complain, however my salad tasted like wilted dirty lettuce and the grilled onions on the burger tasted like dirty fryer, we should have. The only good party of the meal was the Godiva Cheesecake. We have decided that Cheesecake Factory is a dessert only stop for us.

I was very disappointed with This place last night. It took awhile for our food to come out which is understandable for a Friday BUT our food prep was horrible. Asapargus was overcooked but felt like it had been sitting for awhile and got cold my mash potatoes were cold and the shrimp bistro pasta was not cooked all the way. When I asked for new mash potatoes they took forever I was already getting close to being done with the costaletta plate when I looked for the waitress to tell them to forget about about the mash potatoes and side salad which I substituted for the cold asparagus. The manager did come by to apolagize but I was shocked that they still had the nerve to charge me for a $18 plate when all I ate was the chicken! I will stick to the location at northstar mall!

We went on National Cheesecake Day so naturally the place was packed but surprisingly the wait wasn't that bad - just 15 minutes for a mid-afternoon lunch. I like eating outside: it's quieter, brighter and usually the weather is good so it's nice. I ordered Renee's Special and boy does Renee like to eat! Soup, salad, sandwich that could easily feed two and not to mention the bread which is to die for! Finally, the reason people go to the Cheesecake Factory: cheesecake. The newest flavor, lemon meringue, was beyond delicious as was the classic chocolate mousse. My only complaints were the price (for two people it was nearly $45) and the fact they brought out one order first and made me wait another five minutes before the other one came. But overall this place satisfies everyone and is the go to destination at the mall for lunch/dinner!

Belgian Waffle "Elvis" Style for $9.95 at the Cheesecake Factory. I had never tasted a dish so yummy. Every Sunday, The Cheesecake factory serve brunch. I have been a few times to the North Star location (nothing to yelp about.). So I decided to try the La Cantera location. My mouth watered as I read Belgian Waffle with Peanut Butter Cream, Fresh Banana, Bacon and Maple-Butter Syrup. They usually sprinkle the bacon on top, but I made a request to have it on the side. Service was relatively fast. Once I was serviced I eyeballed my plate and wanted to take a photo before eating, but I could not help myself. I devour those waffles as a fugitive that was on the run and this was my first meal out of the joint in 40 years (Jail House Rock, get it? Ok I am corny.). I had made Elvis style pancakes before even try to recreate the famous sandwich nothing comes close to how good this plate was (was meaning two minutes after me eating it like a "Hound Dog"). The Peanut Butter cream was nice and creamy even melted when the hot pecan tasting syrup touch it. The Bananas was, in fact, fresh with no brown only brown was the Maple-Butter Syrup. Sorry Yelper, I wouldn't be able to tell you the cleanliness of the place, couldn't tell you how nice or mean my waitress was. All I could do even as I write my review is sing "Don't be cruel to a heart that's true, hubby hubby." This plate for now on will be my favorite breakfast item, "I Am in Love All Shook Up." Ok, I will stop, I' am such a "Hard Head Woman," I kid I kid!!! The Elvis Waffles alone= five stars. Note to self stay away from the Strawberry Lemonade, $4.00? Really? Too much.

Absolutly delicious. Many variations of cheesecake you can try. But if that is not your thing, you can buy burgers, pasta, steak, and more here. Low prices, from $6-$25. A bit for everyone to try and it keeps you wanting to coming back because its that delicious.

I never have anything bad to say about cheesecake... It never disappoints! I've been to so many locations in so many different cities and states, and they are all equally delicious. The family and I were visiting from Houston, and out of all the different places near our hotel, we stick to what we know! On a Friday night , the wait was maybe 20 mins, went by fast, and we were seated promptly on the patio. Plenty of fans to keeps us cool in the humid night air. Our server was so exceptionally nice. She was fast and friendly, and made us feel at home. Everything on the menu is good, and I've have almost all of it. Oh, and the 'skinny' menu is actually pretty good. Not the diet tasting stuff like you've probably had before. Anywhere I see a cheesecake, I'll be headed in that direction! FYI, s'mores cheesecake dessert is the way to go!

We killed at least six gnats at our table here today. They were nice enough to comp my husband's cheesecake, but the gnats sure took our experience down a few notches. The waitress assured us they are working on the problem. I sure hope so!

Had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and a corn mix. Food was pretty good, service wasn't bad. Did take a little longer than expected for the food to come out, but the restaurant was packed. Have had better cheesecake before though. Which is kinda sad being that the place is named Cheesecake Factory.

The Cheesecake Factory is on par with most chain restaurants such as Olive Garden or Johnny Carinos. The service is superb and the food is good but nothing mind blowing. The environment was somewhat crowded, however the waiters and staff were extremely apologetic and courteous if even a tad bit of delay occurred. Overall this is a nice place to come and have a decent meal served by great staff!

I was so excited to come and visit this location. The surrounding area is very fancy and expectations are higher here. I was disappointed to have to wait almost three hours for a table of 15. Manager was not very cooperative and was a little rude. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. It was almost 20 for the plate. And not worth it. If your coming with a larger group don't come. Very disappointed. My ticket was over 30 for that and a micro piece of cheesecake.

Come on, it's Cheesecake Factory! It's all over the country and the food is consistently delicious. I have had probably 25 things off their menu and all but a couple are really yummy. The menu is huge. There is something to please everyone. The wait is always long but that because it's so good.

Very nice restaurant at La Cantera. The wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and had a pleasant time. At first I was a little worried, since it was Saturday night and the place was completely full. At the cheescake factory's in Arizona, this would be a sign for slow service, but here we got seated fairly quickly and our server was extremely nice. The food was excellent as well and overall it was a pleasant experience.

First off, the North Star Mall location is WAY better. Second off, the food is consistently delicious and so much variety. Third, the cheesecake is way too sweet for me and I've had better. Over-rated.

A friend of mine was wondering where a good place for cheesecake would be... I stale-faced the mess out of her.... This has always a swell Factory. I usually love dark ambiance, but the table we were seated at felt like the bulb was going out lol. I didn't mind after I got my dessert... you need to order they're Smores cheesecake! Our waitress was good help, and I tipped her nicely.

I took my daughter and her friends there for her birthday. The service was great, they brought her cheesecake with a candle to blow out and sang happy birthday. Not to mention the unbelievable cheesecake! I had pineapple upside down cheesecake. Amazing!

The food is always good especially the appetizers which are large enough to make a meal of! Highly recommend the Buffalo wings and Avocado Rolls super delish and the dippings that accompany them are very tasty and compliment the flavors. The negatives are the noise and the long wait to be seated. The 20 minute expected wait turned into almost double that time. Just too long! Would have given higher rating if not for that

I've only been to Cheesecake Factory twice, and only once to this location. Service was superb and so was the food. I had the lunch portion of the Thai Chicken Pasta, which is basically Phad Thai. VERY, VERY good! Even though I ordered the lunch portion, I had enough to take home for dinner and just finished reheating it and eating it. I can tell you it only got better! A bit on the pricey side, but the menu is QUITE extensive. If someone in your party can't find something that peaks their interest, there is something wrong with them. Oh yeah, the cheesecake? I've been twice but was so full from my meal I didn't have room for the cheesecake.

Originally wanted to eat at Z Tejas but they were closed so we opted for Cheesecake Factory next door. My wife and a friend of ours ordered food, our friend and I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, my wife got miso salmon... She was the lucky one. Halfway through my drive home my stomach starts rumbling then a heavy urge to hit the toilet. Needless to say I had liquid runs when I got home. I figured it had to be the food with how fast it hit me. I text my friend and told her the Alfredo tore me up and she says "me too!" Though we laughed about it this is pretty serious. That's the problem with such a large menu, freshness suffers... I bet either their walk in freezer is a mess or the cooks are just plain careless. Either way, this is people's lives you're playing with and needless to say neither I nor my family friends will EVER visit this location again. You're lucky we didn't end up in the hospital or I'd sue your @$$ for this.

Best Cheesecake Factory I have ever been to! The Miso Salmon with white rice was delicious. The Pasta Di Vinci saw savory and the Fish and Chips melt in your mouth. We ordered the Crab and Artichoke Dip as an appetizer and were NOT disappointed. They have excellent service and everything was piping hot. Will definitely dine here again!

Food is so delish had their meatloaf, mash potato and fresh corn and the salmon with asparagus. Of course I saved the best for last CHEESECAKE. But I am so stuffed so it's to go lol. Ordered mango key lime, white chocolate raspberry and original (I mean there's tomorrow and the next day)

This is definitely one of my favorite places at La Cantera! First you have cheesecake. Keep in mind this is not MY reason for coming but everyone that I've come here with (ranging from my wife to cousins to groups of friends) are always satisfied with their nightly choice of cheesecake. Secondly, the serving sizes. I've you're concerned with not g etting what you pay for just dispatch that from your mind immediately. Their lunch portions are good enough for dinner portions and for the most part, their dinner portions are enough for 2 meals (I'm lookin' at you meatloaf.) Third, SIT OUTSIDE. Actually only do so if it's a good day outside. If not, feel free to sit inside it's equally as good, however this is one of the only places where the patio is decently covered and not excessibely loud or distracting (or HOT). Lastly the staff is on their game. I've never had a bad thing to say about anyone that I've come in contact there. I even once left my 'doggy bag' at my table and walked away. They bussed the table and I came back and it was :cringe: gone. I was able to speak to the manager about how excited I was to eat my leftovers the next day and lo' and behold he gave me a 25 dollar gift card to come back at our leisure and enjoy their services all over again. That's about as good in customer service as it gets. I can't say anything in comparison to the North Star Mall location as I've never been there but definitely give this one a try if you are in the area.

Typical Southern Texas service...extremely nice but clueless. Late afternoon lunch on a Thursday at 245 pm, only a handful of table/eaters....waitress extremely nice and friendly but forgot to put in all of the orders...lunch delayed an hour. Offer for free dessert not taken...can not buy my time back. Will not return for the really poor service alone. Go somewhere else....

Nothing worse than being disappointed by a old friend. We visited the Cheesecake Factory in the La Cantera Mall for a late lunch. We were made to wait a short time although the restaurant was but half full. After another wait at iur table, our server Beth greeted us with the usual request for drinks. We had sufficient time to read the menu fore and aft, so we were ready to order drinks and meal. Beth took the order with my wife ordering a chicken marsella, I believe and my order of their most costly item a Ribeye with French fries and a dinner salad in addition. I instructed our server to substitute Caesar dressing for their standard vinegarette. Beth brought our ice teas and I asked for a tea spoon to add equal to my tea. After about 20 minutes, I stopped Beth as she passed us for the 4th time and asked her for my tea spoon. She said, "They haven't brought me one from the back yet!" I told her that twenty minutes was unreasonable to wait, whereas she brought my wife and I fresh napkins with silver as she mumbled that she had to do it this way!!!???. Then she delivered a half hour late the bread and butter that us customarily provided at the drink service. We waited for my salad for another 20 minutes as Beth finaaly had the facilitators deliver our meals NOT as ordered but without french fries and a substitute salad with vinegarette and Caesar dressing on the side. I told the facilitator to take the salad back where she decided to tell me that I had ordered it thst way. My wife's meal appeared to be as ordered, I got a plate with a 1/4" ribeye, over cooked and a butter knife to cut it. This $27 steak I didn't expect to be of Barn Door quality but I did expect it to be better than a Dennys $12.95 steak. As i truly struggled to cut this piece taken from between the horns, the manager came to rescue our experience. We sat and listened to him bad mouth Beth's mistakes, I began to feel sorry for her having to work for this guy of little managerial experience. Aster another 20 minutes my steak and my wife's chicken were both swimming in a coagulated slime of excess fat. The manager returned with the steak knife and began again his excuses where at I asked him, " just let us finish and thank you." Now make believe you a manager of a nation chain who business model strives for consistency in food and service nationwide. You have 2 early retirees very displeased; what would you do? Well this is what they did... Beth shows up with a dessert menu and asks, "Will you be ordering cheesecake? She know the answer as she flopped the bill on the table turned on her heals and went where she disappears to. I opened the portfolio and what do you think I saw? Now you're the manger, what would you do to 2 regular customers who are exactly the demographic any restaurant is looking for. Well, your wrong, they charged me for everything including what I didn't get!!! I gave her my credit card and much later as usual, she brought me my receipt and very cheerfully said the manager took off the French fries you didn't get! How about the salad I didn't get and the boot leather steak and the lousy service.

Jonathan really took care of us for dessert! Red velvet cheesecake wasn't thawed out so they let us take it home to have when we got home and let us have another one already thawed at the restaurant.....thank you for the generosity and great customer service!

On Thursdays I love coming to Cheesecake Factory for their tortilla soup, however that's usually during lunch time. I ordered it for dinner tonight and felt like I was receiving the very last drips leftover from the day. I was disappointed in the soup. The rest of our meal was wonderful as usual.

Food took really long to come out for a two person party. They serve omelets all day so I tried the California omelet w/ potatoes and toast... Nothing special, not cooked any different or buttery flavor or sauce to make it different. Same with the potatoes. Should've gone to Jim's for the same plate and paid half of the $11.95 price. Great location, serving size, ambiance and cheesecake but food needs an upgrade.

Open since 5 December 2011, the Cheesecake Factory is a chain restaurant known for their gargantuan portion sizes. The NW side of San Antonio is teeming with chain restaurants and the Shops at La Cantera is no stranger to embracing them. It's unfortunate San Antonio chefs and chef owned restaurants are lacking on this side of town. Nonetheless, our party of four was seated promptly and courteously. Our server was friendly and attentive. I personally ordered a child's portion meal which was more than enough of portion to satisfy me. The husband and guests were pleased with their menu selections. Always a good place to eat to take home leftovers for your next meal.

As with all Cheesecake Factories, upscale atmosphere, huge selection of good quality entrees. We just dropped by for the Cheesecake this time and it was great. I had the Red Velvet cheesecake... worth the $7.

The Cheesecake Factory is what it is. Yes, their cheesecake is good, but it's your typical run of the mill large US chain restaurant. Their food is somewhere between decent and mediocre, depending on what you have. I wouldn't recommend going to this restaurant to have your mind blown, but it's a decent place to grab a meal while you're shopping.

Love, Love, Love The Cheesecake Factory. I don't know a lot of places you can eat at the has something for everyone on the menu. From All-American to Asian inspired options, you will almost always fine a tasty option. I had the Oreo Extreme Cheesecake and I have to say it was great, can't wait to get home and finish it tonight.

My wife loves CF so I took the family there for her birthday. We spent a decent amount, had alcohol, appetizers, food, and dessert but you would think we were scum. The waitress would not make eye contact so that we could order a second round of drinks, we had to get the manager to give us a wine menu and to order our 2nd round. The waitress would move as fast as she could to avoid eye contact. When I paid I was going to ask for a box for the cake and she dropped it and ran as fast as she could. Having to call the manager over twice, I would have thought he would have corrected this or offered something like a coffee or some sort of token, but no. So I won't be going to this location again.

We went to The Cheesecake Factory on Monday. It was crowded but we were seated quickly. The service was great. The problem was they were out of Kobe Burgers and Steak. The menu is robust so it was not difficult to find something else. Then when it was time for dessert, they were out of original cheesecake, apple streusel cheesecake and Oreo cheesecake. How can they be out if original cheesecake??? I asked to speak to the manager, his response was even more disappointing, he stated he just had the same conversation with another table.... He didn't offer to take anything off our bill or a complementary dessert for next visit. He only offered worthless excuses. We spent a lot of money on a disappointing dinner.

Been to this location several times and never been disappointed. Good servers and decent food at a mid level price sounds good too me. Cheesecake is always good but expensive. Had a problem once but manager and server made sure it was fixed promptly.

I have gone to The Cheesecake Factory many times - but never this location. I typically find The Cheesecake Factory a plesant experience - but certainly not this location. I should have known early into this meal that there was going to be problems.... As Sara B. was confused on what drink I ordered - but she didn't ask for clarification - but brought me 2 vodka martinis when I ordered 1. Did she actually think I wanted to drink 2 martinis at once? She took back the 2nd martini and stated she'd subtract it from my bill - like she was doing me a favor (!). My friend and I started with hot edaname and chicken lettuce wraps. The edaname was fine - but arrived late. The lettuce wraps took FOREVER to arrive. When they did it was like they ran out of the condiments and grabbed the bottom of the barrell (e.g. carrot slices and chinese noodles). The chinese noodles were actually frozen. I realized the delay was due to someone back in the kitchen trying to come up with another serving of condiments where there was none to be found! When I had to point out this OBVIOUS issue - the waitress (Sara) looked at me dumbfounded and stated she'd fix it. After 10 mins she returned and told me they ran out of chinese noodles and "would have to make some". Approx 15 mins later she returned with chinese noodles that looked like a pile of goo.... Didn't poor Sara realize the problem she tried to correct got tremendously worse. The amazing thing is this gal didn't understand the problem. I called for the mgr who arrived and asked me what the problem was (shouldn't have had to explain the obvious). She told me she'd take the item off my bill (duh?!) asked me "if I wanted a piece of cheesecake". My response was "I'd just like my meal" (at that point I had waited 1 hr and had only been served my edaname and martini). The mgr (oriental gal) didn't really understand how badly they screwed up my meal. The incompetence was so bad that it caused me to just want to leave vs. wait for my food. When my food (hibachi steak) eventually arrived it was good. The waitress and mgr then stopped by and asked my how my steak was - I replied "fine". They both just wanted to hear from my mouth "fine" so that they could go onto something else. BTW: I ordered cheesecake and paid for it myself. I was too exhausted from this experience to talk to the mgr/waitress any longer. Very disappointed and I'll NEVER come back to this place.

(5)Kristina B.
Not good! The food tasted like a fast food chicken nugget dipped in cold sweet n sour sauce. The service was slow and waiter was not attentive. The cheesecake I ordered was okay. This place has def gone down.
(1)Laura G.
Had an amazing server and the classic cheesecake was delicious! The recommended pasta was excellent!
(5)Teofila R.
This place is always packed no matter what time or day it is. Luckily they have a nice bar with good cold drinks! They have a great menu with big and small entrees. Of course the selection of cheesecakes is heaven.
(4)Roxy R.

(4)Bridget W.
(2)Billy W.
The food was not great, but the service was awful. They came out twice to tell as sorry, then came out to tell they had to recook something. We got done eating and wanted deserts, but could not get the waiter to helps us. I will not be coming back.
(1)Gene B.
(3)Ariel P.
(5)Chelsea M.
(3)Maggie W.
Service was a little slacking, but you could tell she was new. Food was great as always! Love that there's no wait for lunch.
(4)Ann H.
(3)Laney A.
(2)Sarah R.
This is one of those places where the appetizers and desserts are wonderful, whereas the entrées are just kinda eh.
(3)Glen H.
(4)Donna H.
(3)Carolyn J.
Love eating here and have never ever had bad service or a bad meal at this place. Sometimes the wait is long because everyone else loves the place, too! The 'Black-out' cake is so delicious!!! I try a different dish each time. The food is so beautifully prepared. The staff will treat you like royalty. Enjoy@
(5)Summer A.
It's the Cheesecake Factory, what do you expect? A meal consisting of 2,000 calories that is completely flavorless and overpriced. We received nice service which is always great but I mean, I have never eaten food in San Antonio but I am sure there is better options
(3)Jennifer D.

(1)Sara G.
(5)Josh J.
Only if others request but not going to eat on my own
(2)Natalie P.

I'm done.
(1)Daminique A.
Louisiana pasta is now my new favorite !!! It has the perfect balance of spices the noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. I had a water and a Georgia Peach who is not like me to order drinks but this one was beyond perfect... The customer service was great as well !

(1)John S.
Cheesecakes were great! Four sets of utensils were filthy! They had old food and one had hair!
(3)Dwayne H.
I recently got food poisoning, still waiting for a call from management. Not a call back.
(1)Eric A.
The service is excellent and the food is delicious! The ambiance is soothing and very clean environment. What more can I say? Highly recommended!

(1)Derek P.

Really? Too much.
(4)David H.
Absolutly delicious. Many variations of cheesecake you can try. But if that is not your thing, you can buy burgers, pasta, steak, and more here. Low prices, from $6-$25. A bit for everyone to try and it keeps you wanting to coming back because its that delicious.
(5)Valerie H.
(5)Manuel Y.
Honestly... Food is awful and tasteless if you want to go with your family here, just don't I spend 240 just for nothing
(1)Dixie B.
We killed at least six gnats at our table here today. They were nice enough to comp my husband's cheesecake, but the gnats sure took our experience down a few notches. The waitress assured us they are working on the problem. I sure hope so!
(3)Troy K.
(3)Jeremy K.
(3)Erik G.
(2)Mindy B.
Come on, it's Cheesecake Factory! It's all over the country and the food is consistently delicious. I have had probably 25 things off their menu and all but a couple are really yummy. The menu is huge. There is something to please everyone. The wait is always long but that because it's so good.
(5)Gilbert T.
(5)Regina S.
The service is good but the food is nothing special and WAY too overpriced even with a gift card. Will not return.
(2)Jessica R.
Bad start! Waitress plainly complaining to be seated again and so she just doesn't come by. Waited 10 minutes before asking the host to find us someone that can do their job.
(3)Emmett C.
The service here is really bad......I had to talk to the mgr three times just to get drinks. It took over an hour to get our good and the orders were wrong
(1)Chand Z.
I don't think I'm able to use complete sentences (tired and full) but here is my review-- Menu: huge, appetizing, beautiful Servers: polite, pleasant, beautiful Silverware, plates, and cups: cute, creative, match feel to restaurant Food: yummy, pretty, satisfying The place has a pleasant atmosphere but my mom made me wear a dress so I was uncomfortable DX
(5)Heidi K.
First off, the North Star Mall location is WAY better. Second off, the food is consistently delicious and so much variety. Third, the cheesecake is way too sweet for me and I've had better. Over-rated.
(4)Chike A.
(4)Kellie B.
I took my daughter and her friends there for her birthday. The service was great, they brought her cheesecake with a candle to blow out and sang happy birthday. Not to mention the unbelievable cheesecake! I had pineapple upside down cheesecake. Amazing!
(5)Marilyn P.
Would have given higher rating if not for that
(3)Brent L.
(4)Winston U.
(1)Alecia Y.
(5)Vivian Q.
Food is so delish had their meatloaf, mash potato and fresh corn and the salmon with asparagus. Of course I saved the best for last CHEESECAKE. But I am so stuffed so it's to go lol. Ordered mango key lime, white chocolate raspberry and original (I mean there's tomorrow and the next day)
(5)Jason R.
(5)Justin M.
Wonderful atmosphere awesome food little pricey but definitely worth it. We have never left disappointed or hungry.... always kid friendly and the staff is very helpful...
(5)James R.

Absolutely amazing deserts!! I shared a slice of macadamian Carmel cheesecake with my sis and it was so delicious. This was my first time and I have to say this is a beautiful place to take anyone..

(1)Melanie J.
Jonathan really took care of us for dessert! Red velvet cheesecake wasn't thawed out so they let us take it home to have when we got home and let us have another one already thawed at the restaurant.....thank you for the generosity and great customer service!
(5)Veronica H.
(4)Didi M.
(3)Larry L.
Grabbed a slice of Red Velvet cheesecake and Black Tie cheesecake for my girlfriend's birthday yesterday. DELICIOUS AND AWESOME SERVICE!!!!
(5)Amy S.
(3)Patrick A.
As with all Cheesecake Factories, upscale atmosphere, huge selection of good quality entrees. We just dropped by for the Cheesecake this time and it was great. I had the Red Velvet cheesecake... worth the $7.
(4)Kate K.
(3)Amati P.
(4)David R.
(1)Maura K.
(2)Heather M.
Amazing. My very favorite place to eat. Have a lot of sweet memories at The Cheesecake Factory, Mother's Day etc. I LOVE this place and will be back time and time again. Something for everyone here. Great place to celebrate special events and days. :)
(5)Carolina M.
It's Cheesecake Factory ! they have huge portions... Delicious food, great drinks and I've honestly always have had good service. Oh and who can't forget the cheesecake... Soooo goood! My favorite is the red velvet cheesecake... About a million calories lol but so worth it :)
(4)Courtenay C.
Been to this location several times and never been disappointed. Good servers and decent food at a mid level price sounds good too me. Cheesecake is always good but expensive. Had a problem once but manager and server made sure it was fixed promptly.
(5)Kurt C.
