Amazing place. Great food and awesome customization. The only thing I could fault them for is the price, but it's still a great deal.

fresh, healthy, guilt free. I usually don't review big chains but the service was so friendly and genuine I wanted to review this specific location. keep it up!

When my husband and I first began visiting this location, the staff and restaurant were at 100%. Over the last year, things have gone downhill fast. Some occasional "slime" lettuce. The web orders are wrong 3 of 5 times. Allergens have had to be removed from the salads after they're made. The daily breads are either really good or OMG-What-the-hell-is-this-rock-hard-thing? There have been a couple of occasions where we asked for rosemary bread and instead received flaming-spicy jalapeno bread. There is no nutritional information available for these breads either, so if you're counting calories, beware. There have also been a few times when the restaurant looked more like a dive bar - garbage on the floors, puddles on tables, etc. We continue to patronize the Campbell location out of sheer convenience, but we are extremely cautious to check everything before leaving. I really hope they get it together soon.

This is my third review in 5 years, and I have to again give five stars. I come here waaaaaayyy too often. Let's be honest, I don't always keep tabs on my food consumption over the weekend so by Monday morning, my body is screaming for GREENS. Due to the close proximity to my office, Snappy is the natural choice. They are also the natural choice due to their fresh ingredients, large portion sizes, and great customer service. Their ingredients are presentable and make you excited to down those veggies! A "half" salad gets you a large bowl of your choice of lettuce, 8 toppings including nuts and cheese, plus dressing. Protein additions are extra. They also have some "pre-designed" salads, made to order but for those indecisive days when you don't want to think about what toppings would mesh well. To touch on their customer service, I had an outstanding experience here one day. I was running back from a doc appointment and had only 10 minutes to grab some lunch. Ran into Snappy to see that the line was to the door, then quickly went back out said door. An employee had seen me and ran after me, saying that he didn't want to see me go saladless. He proceeded to take me to the to-go line and whipped me up a salad I could run out the door with. As a dues-paying line stander, it was nice to be able to skip it on a day I was running late. I didn't get his name, but kudos to that sweet employee! All that said, can you quickly spend $12 on a salad? Yes, but your weekend body will thank you for it! To me they are worth every penny.

My husband and I just tried Snappy Salads for the first time, as it's close to our home. I'm a regular at Salata in Addison, which is close to my job. I came into Snappy Salads without any preconceived notions and without reading any reviews. This place ended up being a BIG step down from Salata, where you get as many toppings you want for free, there are about 4x as many toppings to choose from, the prices are better, the service is faster and friendlier, and the store is cleaner. Also, right after eating at Snappy Salads, my husband and I both got stomach aches from something we must have eaten. Sticking to Salata from now on!

Rats! No photo's since it was a business lunch! Bygones.... What I really loved: - The selection of fastidiously fresh ingredients. - The flavor sensation of the pre-designed salads. - The handsome male staff. - The metal bowls. - Green & environmental friendly Needs Improvement: - Ordering and designing salads during the lunch rush is frenetic and chaotic. You never know if you are in the right place. - The staff is overwhelmed at the counter. - I despised the seating, huge "picnic tables" and hard shairs (stool/chairs). - They clearly need more room and some sort of directional markers in the ordering - area. - The prices are really really HIGH. You could easily pay $16 or more for just a half salad, drink and generous tip depending on the protein you order. - My party was not offered bread as is referenced as delicious in the online menu. That would have gotten another star. It reminded me a lot of Freebirds, but without the bizarre interior. I ordered a half snap because that is what one of the cute male staff suggested. Should have ordered the full snap since the boss was picking up the tab. I was eyeing leftover salads on the tables because I was still hungry.

For my one day of trying to get into shape, I came here with a friend after working out. She told me that this place had great salads, but that they were a little overpriced. Her favorite, and now my favorite, salad would have to be the Yellowfin Tuna. It contains celery, cucumbers, water chestnuts, wasabi peas, avocado, and yellowfin tuna. It probably has other items in there, but those are the ones I remember and could make out. The half size salad is more than enough for one person, my friend got the sauteed salmon and couldn't even finish it. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. My friend is lactose so she can't eat anything with dairy, and they were more than happy to help her add different options to her salad. Will definitely be back when I have a craving to be somewhat healthy..... or when I'm just hungry!

I'm really surprised this place got good reviews, it's below average. It's something I could make at home. My friends are telling me I went wrong because I got one of the menu items instead of building my own salad. Apparently that's the way to go. I am willing to try it again and build my own and see if that impresses me a little more. The cost is freaking ridiculous. It's like $17 bucks for a drink, half salad and cup of soup. I could have a seafood meal for that!!!

I've been here so many times for my quick lunch, and they haven't disappointed me so far! I've come a couple times, and ordered a couple of other things; BUT I'm in love with their Gaucho and Grilled Avocado. What word can I use to explain the tastes?FRESH, TASTY, and HEALTHY!

Decent place to grab a healthy salad. No frills, easy in and out. Came here for lunch one sunny and hot afternoon as I was craving something healthy. It's fast casual time place and so you just walk up to the counter and pick out the kind of salad you want. Some of the ingredients looked fresh but some of the items looked soggy and not appetizing. I ordered a mixed greens salad, and it just had waaaaay too much dressing in it, and I wanted to wash it out with water. The dressing was also very sugary and completely countered the nutrients of the salad. Probably would not go out of my way to come here.

  • Amy P.

The salads are fresh, they have a good selection of ingredients and it's far preferable to an "open to all" salad bar. The half snap size is huge but the price gets out of hand if you add extras. Love that they promote sustainable practices!

So this was my first time at Snappy Salad ever, but after hearing so much about the grilled avocado salad, I had to try it! The salad itself was pretty pricy in my opinion, I had both two, one half size and one full size and it came out to $25. For salads, I'd say thats pricy. But the salad itself was pretty good and it has a kick to it, so it def isn't bland. It is a good salad, BUT idk how often I would go back to pay that much money for a salad.

I wanted to try Salata out before reviewing this place, and I have to say that Salata wins in my book. That is not to say that I don't like Snappy Salads at all, but when it comes to looking at the freshness of ingredients, variety of ingredients, and overall bang for your buck, I think Salata triumphs all. Snappy Salads offers a pre-set menu which is nice for those who are too lazy to pick their own ingredients. I ordered the Bam Bam. It was good, delicious, and I would get it again. However, there was so little dressing that I had to go up to the counter and ask for me. Not that big of a deal. Also, after eating this $10+ salad, I honestly wasn't that full. This place is very convenient for those on the go. A salad can be made in about a minute versus Salata which takes a good bit to pick ingredients.

Good place to get a salad. They are pricey salads though. But for the amount they give you, number of ingredients available, dressings, and meat options, it's worth it. The line gets long during lunch but it goes pretty fast. I like their interior design. It's accommodating to the modern/hipster(?) feel. It seems really healthy, but they give you a lot of food so I think I'm actually eating more than usual. And eating salad requires so much chewing... I am not a fan of salads. I am a meat lover. But I will go here once in a while when I want fresh ingredients and vegetables. I really like their jalapeno ranch dressing. Their mushroom soup is really good too, but they don't always have it so that's a bummer. For a quick lunch, I would recommend this place. I'm not giving this restaurant 5 stars because I personally don't think it's worth the price and there's not really a "wow!" factor. Salad is just salad... But they did put in a lot of effort into building a great menu with great ingredients.

I first drove by while searching for something decent to eat on lunch. When I saw how crowded it was inside, I kept going because I didn't feel like waiting that long, but figured it must be alright since they had so many patrons. I had the opportunity to go early one evening, went inside, loud music and only 4 other customers. Great, no line. There were several pre-set options on the menu. No thanks. Oh, and I am SUPER picky about my lettuce. I can't stand iceberg, will actually take the time to pick out those chunky white pieces. So I did like the options: red leaf, romaine, spinach, artisan mix, and... iceberg. I chose spinach and red leaf, didn't see any withered or brown edges (I said I was super picky), lots of ingredients, and dressing. It was all tossed together in a big bowl, then placed in a to-go container. Now, I'm not a fan of not having control of my dressing, because I do like a lot. I found the salad to be too dry, especially since the meat (chicken) was just added on top AFTER it had all been tossed, so it had zero dressing on it. I knew it would be pricey, but $10.50? (a co-worker called me crazy for paying that much)/ Was it worth it? I suppose. If you want a decent salad without having to buy all the ingredients yourself, sure. Wasn't the best I've ever had, but not bad. Service was very friendly.

The grilled avocado IS very tasty! The store itself is cute and not smoky either. Will come back!

I'm so happy I found this place! It's so hard to find something that's fast and healthy for dinner. I had the half - Grilled Avocado and my husband had the half- Texas Taco. We're pretty big eaters, so I wasn't sure it would fill me up but, both were HUGE and delicious! My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so I was concerned he would not be happy with a salad for dinner, but he was satisfied and said we should definitely add this place to our list! My kids split a chicken noodle soup ( which I tasted) and they are so picky, but it was really good they loved it! I did not find it expensive at all. We have spent more at Panera for less food that didn't even compare in terms of quality and taste. Eat here! You'll love it!

  • Amy K.

Why have I just now discovered this place??? Amazing signature salads, but even more amazing selection of ingredients so you can make your own salad. Come here for lunch or dinner! You won't be disappointed. The selection of proteins was even more impressive.

My friend suggested this place to eat something light. Now, I don't really seek out salad places unless it's Sweet Tomato (foodies will know) but I heard good things about Snappy Salads, so I decided to give it a try. The seating is interesting, with communal, long tables. It only has a capacity of about 100 people, but I can't imagine it being packed, since salad is either taken to go, or just for a quick lunch. It is Chipotle style; you order a type of salad and you can make additions to it if you want. I got the buffalo chicken salad as a last minute switch; I initially chose the taco salad, which I probably should have stuck with. The buffalo chicken was good and had a spice kick. The problem was, there wasn't enough in the salad. Maybe it's the carnivore in me, but the proportions weren't right. They toss the salad for you, which is nice. The servers were friendly and polite. If you love salad, you will like the array of salad choices. A little on the pricey side (around $9-11 per salad for a regular size) but the ingredients are fresh though. Personally, I would rather spend a little more and go to Sweet Tomato, which has salad AND bread and soup and dessert to boot. Carbs all the way!

Came here for dinner for the first time a few days ago and had the grilled avocado salad. I've never been much of a salad person but Snappy Salads gave me a reason to give salads more of a chance. The salad was fresh and very filling. The avocados were grilled to perfection and the tomato slice it came with was the biggest juiciest tomato I've ever had! I ordered the half salad and was surprised to see how big it was. If you order a full salad you'll either have to share or save some for later. The staff is very friendly and it has a cool vibe for people who want to dine there.

  • Lori J.

The service is fast and friendly, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. A half snap is plenty of food, and don't skip the bread or the garlic butter. I dream about that garlic butter; best I ever had!

  • Shams B.

This place is the Subway/Chipotle of salads, but it was meh. I know it's a salad, but it wasn't that flavorful and I really didn't leave satisfied. The mushroom soup was fantastic, and I would choose that over another salad.

  • Vincent Y.

Holy smokes they know how to put together a great salad. I enjoyed tweaking their grilled avocado salad recipe with to my desires - yes that means dropping the nutrition-less iceberg, then adding that seared yellowfin tuna. Totally delish! Pricey, yes.. But the sushi joint next door couldn't have satisfied me better. Mushroom soup was the bomb! And peppadews (goat-cheese-stuffed peppers drizzled with balsamic reduction) totally rocked. Best part was this low-gluten meal was easy to eat, and I didn't feel bloated or lethargic hours later. This place is popular during lunch, but I liked coming here on a weeknight when there's nobody around, ordering is quick, and the music was simply enjoyable. Despite the scarcity of seated patrons, they had much more customer volume in terms of take-out orders.

  • Ariane L.

Great to go or eat in food! The Asian salad is my favorite. They have all kinda of interesting dressings like the Brutus (play off of Caesar) . I get a half snap most of the time and I will get a full snap when I order a custom salad. It is always an AMAZING salad and a healthy meal. The take out is super easy and convenient.

Much better experience on a second visit. I wish they could move the lines along quicker though. I got the BBQ ranch and wife had the steakhouse. The BBQ ranch included a fairly bland and thin piece of fried chicken along with a tasty dressing. The steakhouse was really good. Juicy pieces of steak with crumbled cheese and a very flavorful dressing.

I mean, it's okay. There's nothing special about the salad, truth be told. The quality of produce you can find here is comparable to that of Sprouts and the meats and dressings are reasonably tasty. I do like the decor and staff was friendly and accommodating to my dietary needs. So, why am I so unenthusiastic about this place? It comes down to one thing: price. For me, price does not matter as long as the quality of the food matches what I am paying for. In the case of Snappy Salads, my Cobb Salad was not good enough to justify 15 dollars. I understand that the produce is fresh, but it's quite a hefty price for a salad, especially one so unremarkable. Truth be told, I could recreate it at home for a fraction of the price with more meat and veggies. That being said, it might be a good place to take a couple of friends to every now and then, but with so much competition nearby (especially considering that Chipotle makes salads of comparable quality and size at under half the price) it's really hard to recommend Snappy Salads given its high price. If the prices take a cut to a more reasonable amount (say, -33% - 50% across the board, in addition to a UTD student discount or something), then I would be interested in coming back, but until then, I'll have to stick with other, more economical options.

Wish there was more chicken in my Buffalo Chicken salad. Not worth $10 but it was fresh and a good size for lunch. I got the half salad and it was still pretty big.

    (3)
  • Mary B.

For $11 a salad I think you are better off bringing your own salad from home instead of making snappy salads a regular habit. I'm not really a fan of their slogan either "our salads are so good even guys like them"...really...

  • Natlie N.

I was soooooooo disappointed in my salad today. My CYO salad was horrible. HORRIBLE!!!! The salad was pricey. I paid for 2 half salads that totaled at 25.00. Now the problem is that I ordered this salmon and it was more like salmon jerky. I didnt know that the dressing should have been put on the side. All of my veggies were soggy, seemed like way too much dressing. The fact that I couldn't figure out where to go since I paid for my food in advance, because I have a 30 minute lunch, was really frustrating. I threw away at least 90% of that Sloppy Salad.

  • Rebecca C.

If you live or work in the Richardson area, and you like salad, try this place! I had the Cobb salad, root beer and a lemon cookie, and devoured all of it. It was like a subway for salads, but from what I understand this is a locally owned place? Was not able to confirm that, but even if it were a chain, the service was great. The prices were a little higher than I would normally pay for lunch, but the quality is there. And , my salad came in a stainless steel bowl...love it. It's like they know me!

It wasfine but overall I rather go to Salata instead. The quality just didn't...match up to my standard and price. Came here b/c of conveneince and being healthy. lol. Oh and those long length mirrors freak me out a bit..

Fresh ingredients and cozy atmosphere makes this place a healthy, happy choice. My Cobb Salad was great with just the right amount of dressing. Half salad was plenty of food. If you decline an ingredient, they'll offer any substitute of your choice. Nice that they had a couple of wine choices. I'll never go to boring mainstream salad places again. Please turn down the Country music though.

The best management and best location of the best restaurant in Dallas--at least in our opinion. A great place to eat gluten-free and/or paleo. Vegan too if that's your thing. Healthy and delicious. Crazy, crazy variety: greens, toppings, dressings, proteins. We always get the "Full Snap" and create our salads on the fly. Really, the food here is great. And it's good for you. What are you waiting for? Oh, and of all of the places we eat in the DFW metroplex, this has the most interesting (and still listenable) music.

Great salads with always fresh and unique ingredients. Their Caesar dressing is my absolute favorite of any I've tried. I have sometimes veered away and gotten the Sautéed Salmon salad and it's delicious - the ginger vinaigrette and grilled pineapple are yummy. Always get the croutons because they are well seasoned, crunchy deliciousness. The soups are usually pretty good too. And the meats are not your grade D mystery crap with a bunch of gristle. Love this place!

This is simply a great place to eat a nice, tasty, clean salad. They refer to the salad sizes as a "snap." You can get a "full snap" or a "half snap" or a "mini snap." A full snap usually is $10 or more pre-tax, as the half-snap ends up being about $10 even including tax. You can make your own salad or you can choose one of the ones they have on the menu. I love their Santa Fe Chicken Wrap. It is super tasty and an alternative to a salad. They also have "Shared Plates" that are like appetizers, usually with hummus and pita or something similar. They change it up every few months. They also have a baked potato or soup and a combo if you want salad and one of those items. The cups are made from corn and cost under $1, even if you're just getting water. So I keep the cup...at least for that day. They also have bread and cookies. Overall, their salads are tasty and they seem to always be busy. Their motto is, Salads so Good, even Guys Like 'Em. This is true since I see a lot of men in there. Sometimes I order online and then walk in through the side door to pick it up and go back to work. It is super easy and convenient. Enjoy!

Perfect place to DIY your own salads! They have many pre-set salads that you can choose from. This was only my second time here. The first time, I wanted to try something different, so I had the Brutus. I absolutely LOVED IT! I love the fried chicken! The breading isn't exactly what I was expecting, but it reminded me of the frozen fried chicken that you can buy from the store but like 100x better! haha ;p The breading wasn't heavy etc. I like the Brutus dressing too! This time, I tried their caesar salad. Definitely not impressed. It was almost a little underdressed for me (and I typically don't like things heavily dressed) but still.. I'd like to have some dressing please! Chicken pieces were grilled and in small pieces...If I didn't look for the chicken, I would've forgotten that I had any! So maybe this was a hit/miss thing. Maybe I ordered the wrong things. Maybe it was an off day. But for a salad place, I feel like you need to be pretty consistent. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and come back again next time!

This is definitely a go to spot for lunch for me. I end up here at least once a week, particularly in the beginning of the week after feeling guilty about the weekend indulgences. Bottom line - they make delicious, fresh salads with great ingredients. They do tend to get busy during lunch so plan accordingly. Most of the time I order online and swing through to pick up and skip the line. The half snap is plenty to fill you up but not have you dragging the rest of the day. Everyone I take here loves it. The services is usually very good as well!

I love a good salad. My mom is in town visiting and is trying to eat healthier, so we figured we would give this a shot. It reminded me of Chipotle or Freebirds, which is the wave of the future :) Lots of options, but it's pricey. My mom and I split a salad, they are huge, and each got a bowl of soup. Add in two drinks, we were at $32 dollars. Other than that, the ingredients were all fresh, it wasn't overly dressed, and the grilled avacodo on our salad was yum.

    (3)
  • Ty W.

I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about the price. I mean, the quality of ingredients is very good. Many people are saying "I could go to Chipotle and get the same salad for half the price." That's simply false. The variety here is far larger. Good food doesn't always come cheap and if you read their mission I believe their prices are fair for the quality of ingredients. Don't let all of the negative reviews get to you :) Expect to pay $11-15 and create an awesome, tasty, and healthy salad!

If you are in the mood for soup or salad, this is the place to go! They have salads on the menu to choose from or you can create your own. The half portion is enormous!! Awesome bread too :) The night staff at the Richardson location was incredibly friendly and helpful. These restaurants are environmentally friendly and community conscious. It's a win-win!

Snappy Salads is one of my favorite places for a quick bite. I come here often during my lunch break and I always leave happy and full. It is a bit pricey for a salad but their fresh ingredients and friendly staff make it worth it. I recommend the grilled avocado salad, its very, very good! Or make your own, they have so many choices to add to your salad. It can get busy around lunch time but its worth the wait!

This place was a delight to enjoy for lunch. Not too busy and all the food was very fresh! Since it was our first time here my wife and I had a tough time deciding what to order so one of the staff came out from behind the counter and greeted us and offered suggestions. It was very helpful and we decided on the Bam-Bam and the Cobb. Both salads were delicious and the half snap was the perfect amount for lunch. The iced tea was a nice switch from the normally bitter and overstepped kinds at other places. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 was the prices are a bit steep for salad but I am sure it is due to the fresh ingredients. They also had outside seating which was great on this gorgeous day. Overall I was very pleased and would definitely eat here again.

We've been meaning to try Snappy Salads for quite some time and finally got a chance to check it out. What is so special about Snappy Salads? Well, their salads aren't half bad. The soup, was really good, however, it was almost $5 for a cup. Highway robbery. The salads can be done a couple ways. You can get one of their signature salads that already have all the ingredients called out. Or you can make your own by choosing 8 of the many toppings. We got the Cobb salad and it was alright. You usually get a lot of toppings with the Cobb and in this case, there was little of the toppings except for the avocado and the chicken. Lots of the latter. Normally, you'd only get half an avocado for a "Full Snap" but when they split it, our guy just went ahead and gave us half an avocado per bowl, so it was quite a bit and it was delicious. I would have really liked more of all the other toppings, like egg, bacon, green onion, etc. The dressing was fine. No complaints there. The soup was some kind of spicy corn - vegetable soup. Ask for a sample and see what I'm talking about. The sample was very good as was the cup, it's just a lot to charge for maybe 8 ounces of soup. They are very big on recycling and being environmentally conscientious. You can get a cup for water and it's made of corn but looks like plastic. It's supposed to be compostable. I'm putting it in my compost and will let you know how it turns out. All-in-all, it was decent. I'd go there again.

I am writing another review because of the exellent service I received. I previously wrote a 2 star review, explaining that I loved the food, but was severely disappointed with the service. I was recently contacted by the manager of Snappy Salads, who professionally explained the situation and offered for me to come back in and give it another try. I am impressed that the manager took the time to reach out to me to make things right. I seriously love their salads and I am confident that the service issues at this location have been rectified.

This place has a unique concept of organic to healthy food. I wouldn't give them much props since other places have a similar concept. My friend actually told me about this place. Looked at their menu on the website and thought it would be nice to try. I like salads without any meat so the 'Create you own' was perfect. You can order to go but the portion size isn't the same as eating in. I got the small size and didn't finish it. For the create your own option you choose a mix of greens plus 8 toppings. They have different types of veggies from corn to peppers and also cheeses. They also offer samples of the dressings and I chose Parsley Vinaigrette. A tangy but not sweet dressing. Well all together I enjoyed my healthy salad and had enough left for next day lunch. Here are some down falls.. You pay for a cup that is "made from corn", You can only choose one type of bread (changes everyday), and other items are bit pricey.

We got the gaucho half snap and the grilled avocado half snap. The flavor of both salads was great! I would give more stars if it weren't for the 3 small pieces of beef on the gaucho. I understand that it's a half snap, but can I get like two more pieces... Pretty please... without having to ask for it?

You have NO idea how happy I am!!! Snappy Salads is my favorite salad place! And now there is one that's NEAR MY HOUSE!! believe me, this place is worth driving to Preston Forest for, but now I don't have to :) Not only do I love their food, but I love that it's a "locally grown" company that recycles. Setting a good example and serving great food. Thank you and yay!

Holy heck, Texas, is there anything you won't drown in goo? Lovely fresh ingredients, good variety, fast and cheerful service. "Would you like dressing?" she asked. "Yes, the fat-free vinaigrette, please." (I feel like my choice implies a preference for quantity....fat-free vinaigrette. No chunky blue.) Before I could say boo, girlfriend doused the salad in--no fooling--3/4 cup of dressing. So much for eating healthy. I learned my lesson and will ask for a bare minimum of dressing next time--or maybe to have it on the side, if they do that.

My in laws introduced me to Snappy salads and I loved it! The Yellowfin Tuna was fantastic, a half snap was too big for me. Also gave the crispy artichoke hearts a try and enjoyed them. They have raw cane sugar root beer...loved it!

I usually get Baked Potato Soup, Half a Steakhouse Salad, and the daily bread. It is soooo good! I want it everyday but try to go only once a week so I don't overindulge. Everyone I know loves this place, I don't think they have a bad thing on the menu.

I've been to Snappy Salads on Royal in Preston Hollow and now this location. I really like the menu items. My favorite is the Steakhouse salad. I also like the crispy artichoke hearts. I really like that they have Diet 7-up. My spouse always gets the Texas Taco salad which looks great and comes with chips. Salads are pretty big. I always get the smaller size and it fills me up. Wish there was a location in Denton.

I'm changing my rating to 4 stars. After our last visit, the owner sent me a message and apologized for my experience. I truly appreciate businesses that read and respond to our reviews. It shows how much they value their customers and their feedback. My family and I have been back several times since my first review. We definitely had a much better experience with the staff and our food. Staff was friendly and professional. As far as food, my husband really liked the Cobb salad and would get it again. My daughter finished her Steakhouse salad and liked it. This was probably my favorite salad of the ones we ordered. The steak was seasoned well and it tasted good. Plus I liked how it is antibiotic and hormone-free. I don't like too much dressing on my salad, so make sure you get your dressing on the side if you are the same way.

This is a great little salad house that I found the other day. When you go into this joint, its very reminicient of a Chipotle, only that they serve salads... On the wall to the left when you enter is the menu, and if you are familiar with this chain, you can check online first for what you want and just show up and they will make the salad for you. They serve the salad in the metal bowls and toss them for you in front of your eyes, so you see the ingredients and can determine if you want to add or not add those particular items. I got the cobb salad and the wife got some salmon salad.. Both were great.. This will be my new salad house since its in the same neighborhood that I live in... easy to get to and it doesnt take that long to get your meal.

I think I am giving this place a BIT of a higher rating than I feel it truly deserves based on its location. If I ever am in a press for time and cannot bring my lunch to work, my options in Richardson are EXTREMELY limited. All I want is a big salad for lunch. A salad with (gasp!) no meat, no cheese, no croutons, and no dressing. Really, it shouldn't be so hard to find a big bowl of vegetables. But the city of Richardson makes it so. There is Panera, but after working there for years in high school, I find it hard to drag myself in there. I usually found myself driving 12 minutes away to Whole Foods or Jason's Deli, which takes up half my lunch break. FINALLY, a salad bar arrives around the corner. You have NO idea how excited I am. But when I finally ordered my custom salmon salad for lunch, it just wasn't what I expected. Not for the price. The salmon was dry and the produce just did not seem all that fresh. I am still happy that it is there now - don't get me wrong - I will still go there over 99% of the restaurants in the area, but if I were in Dallas (not Richardson), it would be pretty far down the list. Eatzi's, Salata, Whole Foods, and Jason's Deli just do the custom to-go salad better.

My daughter introduced me to this place. I was so excited as they put my salad together. I told them all of my favorite salad toppings. Then it was time to pay for both our salads. The price came to $30...FOR SALADS!!!!! Still in catatonic shock. The sauteed salmon looked and tasted more like sauteed rubber, and it costed an extra $5.75!!! WILL NOT be back, I'll just stick to making my own salads, I can do that!!!!

The concept is good. Salads sound great but execution is lacking. I ordered a yellowfin tuna salad. The tuna was not seared but more like steamed. More importantly, it was not seasoned at all. A little salt and pepper prior to searing(if it bad been seared) would have gone a long way. I would even suggest some Cajun blackening seasoning as an option to boost flavor.

Updating this review after giving Snappy Salads a 2nd chance, based on the positive reviews and contact from the manager offering some suggestions. Still not impressed, unfortunately. Went with a build-your-own full snap salad, which does at least give you the opportunity to add up to 12 ingredients to your salad. I'd give ingredient quality an overall 3/5, as many things I received were somewhat limp or tasteless. Added pulled chicken, was given a small plastic baggie of cold unseasoned chicken topped on the salad, not mixed in. 'Warm garlic' bread was cold, and not garlic bread (if it was, maybe there's one garlic clove in the center of the loaf or something - but it's definitely not what you'd consider "garlic bread"). This time, lunch total came to $16.75. Ouch. Staff was less impressive this time. Apparently I ordered chicken at the wrong spot in line, was told "chicken is down there". Got to the add-chicken station and was given a look like "oh, NOW you want chicken? *sigh*". The line moved along quickly, though at the expense of staff constantly forgetting which of the 10 salads on the counter belongs to you. Cashier was abrupt, borderline rude. Overall, food is OK, but definitely not worth the prices charged. For the price of a half-salad, you could go to DiMassis in the same plaza and get an all-you-can-eat Mediterranean buffet (unlimited salad!), or two sandwiches from Great Outdoors, or even a hot healthy meal from Zoe's Kitchen. People seem to like it though, as it's been packed in there both times I've gone. I just honestly have no reason to spend dinner prices on a lunch restaurant. It was nice of the manager to reach out after a mediocre review, but unless they adjust their pricing for a lunch crowd, I won't be back.

I love snappy salads and was happy to see one closer to my home. This one is still working out the kinks - service is much slower than at the other locations. It's fun to DIY but the menu and daily salads are also excellent. These folks know how to put together great flavor combinations in the menu salads, so I recommend going with them with no substitutions. Sometimes it's that one odd ingredient that really pulls the yum together. And I agree with the others about lots of dressing. I ask for half the usual amount. Great lunch spot!

I went to Snappy Salads for the first time this week and was pretty impressed. Mostly by the decor however. I love the "Urban" feel of the location and have heard that this is similar across all locations. I love that they are into recycling and composting their waste. I ordered the half make your own salad and didn't seem like a great value for $8. BUT it did taste good and I really enjoyed the spicy italian dressing.

I LOVE Snappy Salads. I used to go to the location in Northpark all the time, so I was excited to see that they had a storefront location near my house. We order online pretty frequently, and I was a little frustrated because the team never started my order until I arrived. I submitted a comment to the Snappy Salads website and the owner got back to me right away. It was a really nice gesture. We've ordered salads since then and never had a problem. The staff there is nice and I think they do a good job. You really should build your own snap- it's the only way to go. Pair it with some daily bread and you are all set. This is a hearty meal for sure. I only wish they delivered!

Snappy Salads is my #1 favorite place to go for a salad. They have an amazing selection of greens and toppings and I love how all ingredients are chopped into bite-sized pieces. Their salad dressings are always fresh (they're house made) and the potato soup is to die for on a cold day. I can get a "full snap" (large salad) with avocado for around 11 bucks. Not too shabby for an extremely healthy & filling meal.

Haven't had a salad here but I have had the roasted artichoke and the Tuscan bean dip with grilled naan and it's really good

I'm a big salad eater, and not a particularly picky one. I got the Grilled Avocado salad - the half size and it was $11 even. No drink. No meat on the salad. It was lettuce, dressing, avocado, and tomato. Not worth it. There were a lot of choices to build your own, but i thought a signature pre-built one would be a good pick. I would rather go across the street to Chipotle for a salad next time. Cheaper and better (though only one dressing option, this place had like 15).

I was looking for a healthy lunch and decided to give Snappy Salads a try. It was quite busy when I went, but the service was fast. Perhaps a little too fast because I ordered the Gaucho salad that comes with steak, and half of my steak pieces were completely undercooked. I'm talking rare or maybe even just seared on the outside. I like my steak cooked medium rare, so it has to be pretty rare for me to not want to eat it. Other than that, the salad was great, and I would come back. I'm going to give 3 stars for now because I love how fresh the ingredients are and the selection of toppings. The salads are pricey, but I think you are paying for quality ingredients. Maybe if I come back and re-review they will end up with another star.

Endless options to choose from as well as many dressings you can test taste to choose what's good for you. They are also very generous with their portions. I prefer this location than the Northpark one. I do prefer Snappy Salad over Salata. Very friendly staff and professional management. The decor is very cool and urban and it's a fun place to grab a quick salad with friends during lunch or dinner before a movie :)

I previously gave this restaurant a bad review because of mainly the poor service and my unsatisfactory of some of the veggies. The owner Chris Dahlander emailed me and asked if I could come back and allow him and his staff make things right!!! I took him up on his offer and I was blown away. Chris was there to greet me at his most busiest hour! The salad was perfect and the staff was much more helpful and pleasant. I'm glad I was able to have that second experience... I've been back on several occasions and it was better than the second time.

I discovered Snappy Salads in Richardson a couple of months ago. I have become a Snappy Salads fanatic! If I could afford to eat here every day, every meal, I seriously would. The food here is always amazingly fresh. I love the retro style of the restaurant and their green efforts (Although the trash can for recyclable goods should be a bit more visible and maybe by the pop machines). The food can always be great at a place, but if the customer service sucks it makes your visit terrible. Luckily, this is NOT the case with this place. The customer service is outstanding. I love it. Everyone is very friendly. It blows me away how the employees come from behind the counter to greet people at the menu line. Even though I'm a regular, this still happens when I show up. I have had several different lunch hang outs here and everytime is awesome. Casey, Travis, and a young, skinny white guy with pitch black hair who usually works around the lunch hours ( I completely forgot his name) are fantastic! They are quick to serve their customers and always seem to stop by the benches to see how our lunch is going. I've even had one of them ask if I wanted my cup to be refilled before, CRAZY because that is not even expected of them. That is called going above and beyond and this is what will keep the business flowing! Thanks so much for memorable visits to this location!

This place is just getting better and better! I had to update my review because of how their selection keeps growing! The new salad choices for toppings are amazing! The new side plates are so yummy! I have tried all of them. You guys will be around for a long time!

We stopped into this restaurant for 2 reasons. 1, my husband was craving a salad. 2, reviews from Yelp were good. Well, the food was good. Not the best, but good. I had a wrap, which was pre-made and came out of a fridge. To it, they added homemade chips, which were burnt and were the crumbs at the bottom. I did not have 1 chip that was larger than a dime. The steak on the sandwich was good, but grisly. My husband's salad was really good, apparently, but he almost choked when he saw the price. He got the half size and added chicken. It cost $18. My sandwich wasn't that cheap either. SO bottom line. We're never going to go back. My advice to customers - get the salad, expect to pay top dollar for it.

Interesting concept. Large community tables. The Chicken wrap was good. Other people in our group had the make-your-own salad. The half salad is more than enough for lunch. The menu can be confusing but the prep-line is more than willing to provide assistance. Salad was fresh and good. Good lunch spot.

I like it, I like it! Red lettuce washed much better this time 'round - and everything else stayed to my liking. Plus - they're having a sort of electronics recycling fair sometime in March - and I think that's a GREAT idea! Thinking out of the box.

I'm so disappointed! I've been going to Snappy Salads at Preston/Forest for 3 years or so and also the Park & Tollway one since it opened. I love those locations and will continue going there!! However, I discovered the Campbell location and was so excited because it's on my way home from was SO loud, it was uncomfortable. Today I went in there at 4:00 in the afternoon and it was so very loud that I literally had to YELL my order, finally asking if they could PLEASE turn it down. I couldn't even think! They reluctantly turned it down and I was told the owner wanted it that loud, that he was trying to create a happy hour type experience. It's SNAPPY SALADS, not a pub or night club! Very, very disappointed. I eat SS 3-4 times s week and would, yes, WOULD have been a big customer. I will not go back...

I love this place!!! It's like the Eatzi's salad line only I don't have to drive down to Oak Lawn, it's right in the neighborhood. The food was really fresh and the place was clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating for indecisive first-time customer. Husband & I both got small salads (which are big enough even if you're really hungry, trust me) with meat/ fish, fountain drinks, and bread for around $20. Considering a prepackaged salad with meat is around $10 at Whole Foods, I think Snappy Salad is a really good deal (and fresher). I hope to see more of these popping up in the area soon.

This product is excellent but this staff does NOT know their salads!! The 3 times I have been there they have gotten major ingredients wrong! They are very nice and apologetic about it, but they need to get it right! I hope this location makes it, but it has not been a great start :(
