I have been going to Tony's for a while now and I have enjoyed every visit. I have had their liver and onions pretty good not too over cooked(I thinik every place over cooks them to be on the safe side.) their chicken fried steak is great Ive had it multiple times more meat less breading plus they have the BEST biscuits, their kafta omlete was nice one day I will try the kafta burger and lot of other interesting items. They also have great soups a lot of flavor. A really comfortable friendly place with great food.

Easy location, and good parking. A daily special, and variety of food on the menu. I went at lunch and noticed the breakfast menu looked really good. Lunch food was ok, but I suspect the breakfast would be great.

Long time resident but first time visitor. I was surprised to find such a great place in my relative backyard. I met two others for a business discussion over breakfast on a Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised at the warm greeting Lina, one of the owners, gave both of them--frequent customers--when they joined me. She had already greeted me with friendly, hospitable service before they arrived and her interaction with them quickly dismissed some of the negative reviews I saw online beforehand. I suspect Tony's just didn't meet the expectations of some guests but that can happen at any restaurant; that doesn't mean the food here was necessarily bad or that service was poor. It did help to know in advance from other Yelp reviewers that many dishes came without sides, but given portion size that didn't bother me at all. Of course, I wasn't there at peak service time on a weekend where crowding, noise or stretched waitstaff might present challenges. I ordered the full order of (2) bacon breakfast tacos, sans potatoes. Good thing! They were huge--one taco with the potatoes would have more than filled me up. I'm not sure what their secret ingredients are but the the eggs and salsa had a wonderful flavor. Coffee was hot and fresh and the cream was nice and cold. I will be back. If you plan to visit Tony's Cafe for the first time just be aware that many dishes do not come with sides, and be prepared for a small local better-than hole-in-the-wall experience at a restaurant with a hometown feel, friendly service and good food. Period. And if you have a problem with anything just ask for Lina or Tony. I'm sure they will leave you a satisfied customer who will also want to make a return visit.

I read some awful reviews before deciding to try Tony's. Lauren D. Plano, TX stuck out. 235 reviews. I wonder what could have happened for her to write such a lousy review? The place is anything but fancy. Of course when you see the word cafe you're not supposed to expect fancy. I could see where they hired local girls that were not professional waitresses. They did OK. I had to wait a bit but usually that means the meal was not rushed. It wasn't. I have an affinity for liver and onions. I'd never eaten a liver and onion breakfast before and when I saw it on the menu I changed my mind from the original thought to liver and onions. I was not disappointed. Delicious! The eggs were really over easy. The potatoes were - potatoes. The meat and onions were perfect. I had an english muffin which I poured syrup on and ate it with a knife and fork. Like I said, I can't imagine what went on when the folks that give this place a bad rating. Being a cafe it might not be for everyone. For we who are nostalgia freaks, cafe's and dinners in general are just fine. We know where the fine dining is and we'll go there when that's what we want. I just wanted a home cooked meal and I got one. What I assumed was the female owner came out to make sure everything was OK. Very friendly. Always a nice touch. So yes, it is worth a try. I hope you don't get a new waitress that hasn't been broken in yet and I hope the cook doesn't call in sick and they get a replacement. What I experienced was a good meal at a decent price with adequate - though not excellent - service. We enjoyed the experience. I hope you do too!

This place advertises itself as "low carb, low fat" restaurant with a mediterranean flair. This is a flat out lie and false advertisement, meant to try and get folks interested in low carb meals in the door. When there is not a SINGLE THING on your menu, without modification, that is low carb...you cannot call yourself a low carb establishment. Eggs and omelettes are generally great low carb options, but the ONLY side options available are potatoes, bread, biscuits, or fruit...all of which are very HIGH carb sides. The waitress didn't even know what a carb was so I tried explaining it to her and she finally suggested bacon as a side only I couldn't get that as a side replacement..it would be extra. I told her to just forget about it and bring me the omelette with nothing on the side. Of course it came with half a plate of potatoes that were thrown away because I didn't eat them. I can get eggs at McDonalds and not eat the bun that comes with it yet you don't see McDonald's calling itself a low carb restaurant. If I'm paying for a full meal at a low carb restaurant, then I expect you to have actual low carb options...not expect your patrons to have to modify all of the meals or just not eat the stuff served with them. The atmosphere here is terrible. It looks like a very tacky diner that opened in the 70s and hasn't updated their look since. It's in a junky strip mall in an average part of town so I can't say I was expecting much more. It was filled with older patrons. The eggs/omelette were fine. It's pretty hard to screw up an omelette. I can't comment on any of the rest of the food, I just think they need to do away with the false advertising about being a low carb establishment. Price: 4/5 Food: 2/5 Ambiance: 1.5/5 I do not tolerate outright lies. If the establishment removes their false claims from their website, I'll consider revising my review. You want new customers? Try telling the truth. You're a hole in the wall, run of the mill, breakfast diner.

So we have wanted to try this place for sometime, as we love trying new places. This is a great little place to grab a meal that is inexpensive and won't disappoint! I had the Greek breakfast which had eggs, home fries, and gyro meat. It came with a side of pita bread and tatziki. The meal was stellar as this place has a Mediterranean background, the flavors were pretty spot on. We plan on coming back for lunch to try the lunch menu and having the kefta kabobs. If you want a great meal give them a try, it was a great break from the chain restaurants!

Tony's has the best breakfast in Plano! The serving sizes are hearty and easily shared. Always start with a coffee and cinnamon roll.

Took my wife to lunch today at my favorite little Mom and Pop Cafe in Plano, Tony's Cafe (run by Tony Richa and his wife, Linda)! Great food, friendly service, you will not be disappointed. Michelle had a Turkey/Bacon/Cheese Melt Sandwich. I had French Onion Soup and the Gyros Plate. For dessert we shared; Fresh Homemade Cinnamon Roll, Homemade baklava, and chocolate mousse pie. Everything was delicious! Michelle loved it, it was rare day for her to leave the house and sit down. She had to get up and walk around too. Life is too short. (We are both skipping dinner, so this counted as two meals)!

Great little hole in the wall diner. Everything seems made fresh to order with quality ingredients. The service is attentive but not annoying. They serve Coke which is always a bonus to me! It's a fun, dated, divey little place with an eclectic menu, friendly service and delicious food at affordable prices. What more could you want?

Ate over the weekend and the food tasted great and come out quick! They had a wide selection to choose for breakfast and lunch. Had the greek omelet and even asked for chicken. My tummy and tastebuds was so happy! It was cooked perfect and melted in my mouth. Loved that I didn't have to add salt to make it taste better. Very impressed with the customer service as they were friendly, prompt, and didn't have to wait if we needed anything. It felt as if they could read my mind before I even asked. Its a family owed business small but packed. Didn't feel like another number and feel how proud they are to serve their customers!

I have been going to Tony's Cafe for years. The food is consistently good and the owner and his wife are terrific. They hire local teenagers as waitresses and they do a decent job. Of course, some are better than others. If you want a decent breakfast for a decent price, this is a good option. It does seem to get busy after church on Sundays.

Our family LOVES Tonys......the chicken florentine soup is a favorite and I recently have discovered the eggs ala Greek ....you get eggs any way you want and then a mountain of the meat they use in a gyro...it's a filling non-carb meal that is something different. The owner Lena always has a friendly greeting like you are coming into her home.

When I arrived, though the parking lot didn't look too full, the restaurant was packed. The greeter asked me if I'd like to sit in the one booth available and I said okay, and sat down. I ordered a coffee and looked at the menu. When the server arrived, she asked me that if more people showed up would I mind moving to a crowded table and I said "this is where they sat me, am I going to need to move in the middle of my breakfast?" Already not off to a good start. The eggs benedict arrived. I ate the potatoes and the eggs and thought that the hollandaise sauce was rather bland for the price and that it ranked about the same as Cindi's Diner's Eggs Benedict which...is a "do not repeat." Bland. Unimaginative, especially for what seems to be a Cafe run by Greek people, who like olives, right? No olives, not even a dash of paprika on the eggs. Completely lacking in imagination or even cultural heritage. ??? The eggs benedict were overpriced at between $8-9. You can suffer a half order for one dollar less. Here's the worst part. The coffee. Lacking in any gourmet anything...just regular diner coffee. Guess what it cost? In the neighborhood of $2.25. The nice red-headed young lady coming by cheerfully asking if I wanted some more was very nice and should be promoted to the position my server is in--even if it appears that she is the owner. Maybe she can make sense of the pricing and insist on some more imagination for such a bland meal. I was really shocked at the mediocre product and the exorbitant pricing. That leaves place. Perhaps this is considered prime real estate in Plano but I have had much better and more imaginative and cheaper meals in Allen in similar real estate. I suppose that the locals like it because the place is packed...so packed that I was privileged to endure that question of moving if more money walked in that I could be shuffled over to a place less offensive to the restaurant owner's pocketbook. I doubt that I will return. It simply wasn't the best use of my few dollars nor my time, nor my caloric limits to eat an unsatisfying meal that has that many calories when I will need to curtail other meals today to make up for what is probably a 1000 calorie meal of little note. Completely unimpressed. I felt more like I was being used for my money to support their goals rather than appreciated as a customer. I hate writing negative reviews. I hope I don't come across any more places like this in my Yelp journey.

Used to be a good place. The food was not very good last weekend and this is the second time I have given them a chance. The eggs were under cooked even though I asked for them to be medium. When I asked the waitress, are these medium, she said yep and walked off. The bacon also was not cooked the way I asked and the pancakes were terrible. I didn't eat very much and told the waitress the food was not good. She picked up my plate and returned it to the kitchen. They still billed me for the food. I will never return.

Delightful owners - good service and fine food. The "world famous Cinnamon Roll" was disappointing as it was an odd consistency and a bit dry. Italian sausage omelette was SUPER, as were the home fries and biscuits and gravy. Would suggest the volume on the music be lowered as it interferes with patrons trying to have a conversation with one another.

My husband and I took my 80-something parents here for lunch after church. Mom had read reviews and really wanted to try it. We were all disappointed. At 53, I was by the far the youngest patron in the establishment. That means it was full of seniors. That's certainly not a bad thing, but when that is the clientele of a business, WHY would the business blast classic hits from the 70s and 80s loudly enough to compete with the voices of those sitting just across the table? In a mostly senior environment, it would stand to reason there will be several with hearing challenges. I asked our server to please turn down the music (restaurant owners: loud music does NOT add to the ambiance of your establishment unless you are a night spot for 20-somethings!). Our server looked at me like I was growing a second head. I pointed to my father's two hearing aids and explained the challenge we were all having hearing each other talk over the music. She did turn down the music, but less than two minutes later someone else turned it back up louder than it had been before. Sigh. We were pestered by our server three times asking if we were ready to order, the first time less than two minutes after we had received our menus. Each time she came by, all four of us were still holding our menus open and clearly still perusing our choices. We placed our order, but it was difficult as our server barely spoke above a whisper and mumbled when she spoke. My father could not hear her at all, and I had to repeat every word she said to him in order for him to hear. She never caught on that he was struggling to hear her. And this was AFTER I had pointed out his hearing aids and told her we had hearing challenges at our table when asking for the radio to be turned down. A significant period of time passed, and no food had been brought to the table. I flagged down our server and asked where our food was as others who had come in after us had been served. Her excuse was that a large group who had been seated before us had to be served first. (It was a group six seniors. A while after we were seated a young family with a toddler and an infant joined their group, so technically our complete party had been seated first and our order was placed first. But still we waited.) The food was okay. My mom ordered huevos rancheros, and she did enjoy her meal. My husband got the bacon tacos, and although no sides came with the plate, he said it was good. Not great, but good. My dad selected the jumbo shrimp. No sauce (cocktail or tartar) was included or offered. He had to ask for it. The coleslaw accompanying his meal was the worst any of us had ever tasted. Absolutely loaded with mayonnaise, it really was just some cabbage swimming in mayo. I had the wholewheat pancakes with strawberries. No sides come with it, so I ordered two eggs a la carte. It was nothing more than one would find at IHOP. It seemed odd that nothing came with side dishes except the shrimp. We did see Tony, the owner, going from table to table checking on his guests. That was nice to see. Other than that, it was a pretty forgettable experience. We won't return.

Lina and Tony are the kindest people I know. They have been blessed with an amazing business! Their food is fresh, the restaurant clean, and the menu is impressive.

I have been coming here for years. I would especially recommend the Chicken salad. The chicken is so much better than a chain restaurant. I also love the breakfasts. The Breakfast special is one of my favorites, and the Greek omelette is also very good. Try some homemade soup, too! The staff is always friendly.

Terrible... Went for breakfast this morning. We usually go to Little Gus' and LOVE that place. Tried Tony's on the recommendation of a friend and were hugely disappointed. Ordered the kids pancake for my daughter. She wouldn't eat it. I took a bite and knew why immediately. It was corse and gritty and tasted like the grill hadn't been cleaned. She did eat her eggs. The only positive was they brought her food out first. Then came mine and my husbands meals. He ordered chop steak and eggs and got a plain hamburger patty with eggs. He said it tasted terrible. He did say the home fries were great though. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with grits... The grits were scooped on the same plate as my omelet so they were running into the omelet and the omelet was made with what seemed to be processed cheese food slices (think Kraft singles). The grits and omelet were marginal at best. Not exactly what I was expecting for nearly $10! My OJ was a TINY glass and was ridiculously overpriced . We ate about half our food, paid our $33 bill (before tip) and left. The waitress did ask how everything was but at that point we just said it was fine as we weren't trying to cause a scene. We won't be going back.

Awesome breakfast place. I've never been able to order fried eggs over medium anywhere until here. Tony knows how to properly cook medium eggs! Also the biscuits and potatoes were fantastic. My wife said he omelette was perfect as well. The service was very good, my coffee and water cup never went empty, that's always a sign of attentive staff. Thanks, we'll be back frequently now that we know about this neighborhood gem.

Staff was really friendly. Food was decently priced but I felt like they didn't use quality ingredients which you can tell when you look and taste the food. I felt like they substituted price over quality. I won't be back as I feel I could have found a better place for my money. As stated previously, it is a pretty small restaurant so It does get packed. Manager was very friendly.

We tried this cafe yesterday, and it was a very quaint. The food is phenomenal for home style cooking, and the staff is super friendly and good at their jobs. The prices are very reasonable, and it has become our new weekend spot for brunch. Our only complaint is that the seating is very limited, so it's a bit cramped.

Was looking for a simple family place for breakfast. Found it here at Tony's. This place has personality. Friendly...good service..prices a little higher than expected but not outrageous. Certainly not enough to keep me from coming back. Need to check out lunch menu

One of our favorite breakfast spots. Super casual diner. I always get a half order of the vegetarian benedict (English muffin, tomato, avocado, poached eggs, hollandaise). Husband gets the 3 egg breakfast special. I love their pan fries, which aren't the standard cubed and fried potatoes, but parboiled potatoes that have been smashed and crisped on the griddle. Kind of a hashbrowns/panfries hybrid. Super friendly service. A serious variety of plates (breakfast and lunch served during all open hours), all with Greek leanings. They have like 4 eggs benedict variations to choose from, their salads are huge, and they're very vegetarian friendly.

The food was delicious and the service was great. Very friendly staff. We had the gourmet egg plate with home fries, pancakes and French toast. First time here but I'll be back for sure. I'm glad we tried this place out.

Went there today for the first time. We were promptly seated and our drink order taken. Our waitress seemed shy. I ordered the egg scramble with ham, home fries, and biscuits and gravy. The eggs were alright as were the home fries. I really liked the biscuits and gravy, but the bad thing is while most places usually give you two or more biscuits. At Tony's I only got one. The person I assume was the owner was very nice. She was very attentive to us and made sure everything was great. I would probably go here again if I was in the area.

Loved it! My wife and I usually have lunch dates on our days off but we decided to have a nice breakfast. Oh my! Prices are reasonable but the portions are wonderful. We were stuffed with the ultimate comfort food. Tony and his wife are lovely and very personable. Come out and check them out. I had the breakfast special and I'm sure I'll be going back again for those biscuits and gravy!

Went here a few days ago. Was pretty good. Pretty sure they charged me an extra buck though. What is it with small businesses these days and these dirty tricks? Inside is pretty nice. Green carpet with those classic red diner bench seats on the side and open seating in the middle. It's pretty homey feeling. I think the owners were Greek. Funny enough the other cafe in Plano, Little Gus Cafe is also owned by a Greek guy. Service is pretty friendly. Food is pretty good and ranges from unreasonable to normal as far as prices. $3 bowls of cereals and whatnot. As far as the food goes my only complaint was the pancakes. Although very large and generously sized, they were overcooked on both sides.

    (4)
  • Brandi L.

Great service, the owners seem really nice but the food wasn't great. I ordered hot cake and eggs. Pancakes tasted doughy, bacon was under cooked and limp, potatoes were greasy. My partner had the eggs Benedict which came out swimming in salty hollandaise. We wont be back.

Any place that has a clock with birds on it by the cash register and artwork hanging on the walls that the clientele can purchase if they so choose is mighty fine in my book. Think about it: it's a place that respects their community while also respecting their individual tastes. A sense of identity in Plano where no one is out to impress anyone else? Slow down, you're blowing my mind! But it's true. Tony's would get high marks from me even if all it was was an empty room with a clock with birds on it and paintings to buy. But when you add in scrumptious food, coffee service that almost made me question the laws of physics that allowed so much coffee to enter my mug in the span of an hour, and a staff that really, REALLY make me want to keep coming back to achieve the coveted "regular' moniker due to their friendliness, all contribute to a place that deserves far more recognition than some of these reviews would have you believe. I confess: I had never heard of Tony's until my Mom suggested we all go out to it for a Sunday breakfast. I'm always up for trying new things and we made the drive over to a small parking lot that housed a strip mall where you can get medical conditions diagnosed and your nails done before walking in and grabbing a seat. We arrived and were fortunate to land one of two available tables. Tony's isn't big, by any stretch of the imagination, but I challenge you to find a more hospitable "hole in the wall" in the Plano area than this one. The place was packed and it didn't take long to find out why. Well, wait, hold on. Before we took seven steps to our table, I made sure to take in our surroundings. No waiting area to speak of, plenty of dining spots, a counter in the back to pay and watch the cooks work their magic from, and a diverse group of customers - families, college kids, Frank Zappa back from the dead, a guy with a pair of suspenders I was severely jealous of, etc. Everyone is here! If you're reading this, you're more than welcome! In a matter of seconds, our waitress showed up and took our drink order. Now, for all you Tony's aficionados here, please forgive me as I may possibly be making a grave mistake here: I think either a manager or owner then came over and took our order. And she was about the friendliest woman I've ever met in my life. Like, if Mrs. Claus (of Santa Claus and the North Pole fame) had a younger but still as bubbly younger sister, this was her. And that analogy probably went nowhere but trust me when I say she exuded a politeness that made me even feel guilty about showing up to the table wearing shoes that have polka dots on them. She sold us on a cinnamon roll as an appetizer and with one bite it became obvious why they sell these things by the dozen. I was ready to eat about four more before the meal. Seriously, if you've never had one, you owe it to yourself to either get one before the meal (like a crazy person) or for dessert (like a normal, rational person). Shortly thereafter, orders of eggs and Greek meats arrived but truthfully, I was the envy of all with my order of bacon tacos. I know you're probably sitting there thinking "Bacon tacos? Next." Step back and adjust your expectations because these two tacos just about changed my life, and I survived the 80s (of course, I was only four when they ended but shh...). These things were heavenly, the Greek potatoes and salsa coalescing into a product of sheer bliss that made me seriously consider risking life and stomach capacity to fit both tacos into my gut. I was unsuccessful but I still feel like I won. Speedy service, plentiful coffee and an affordable price - how in the world is this place not more renowned in the North Texas community? Is it the nonexistent waiting area? The short hours? The fact that not a single person working here is pretentious or snooty and therefore doesn't "fit in" with the surrounding area? I don't know but one thing I do know is that I'll be back. Certainly not tomorrow since I gather they're closed on Mondays but for sure within the next two weeks. I'm jonesing for that "regular" status, you know.

This is the second time we visited. First time food was good and warm service, but this time we were disappointed. I ordered the one large egg breakfast, the pan fried potato was extremely salty. My husband ordered chicken fried steak plus french onion soup. The soup had some weird taste. Steak was okay though. So stay with the regular item and hope they don't put too much salt.

Excellent service. The owner stopped by our table to make sure we were doing okay. Great coffee. I had the California Omelet on special and it was fantastic. Definitely try the eggs benedict. Reasonably priced. I wish they were open for dinner. Will return!

If I could give negative stars I would! This place is terrible! We came here for lunch and first we basically had no waitress in addition to that the food was disgusting our spaghetti which was supposed to be a special was more as a special than normal! This place is not one I would recommend or try ever again.

We are always looking for somewhere new for breakfast...had been to this place but not in years. I had the florentine omelette and it was super yummy and the bacon was plentiful. My husband had the eggs a la Greek. The lamb gyro meat was very tasty but the cut into thin strips could have been done in a different fashion. My son had the chicken fried steak and eggs. The chicken friend steak was a processed frozen pre-breaded cutlet that was quite small in comparison to the other places we have visited. It was good enough to return but after the check was 40.00 for 3 people for breakfast it won't be on our every week list.

The food is wonderful, the family and service are fabulous! We have been going to Tony's for about a year now, and they know us when we walk in! Breakfast AND lunch are always good. Breakfast is served during lunch time too. I especially like the fact that on the menu is a good sized hamburger for 3.99 and fries are additional. I hate going to a place, but don't have the "no fries" option!! A waste of food and money!! When recommending a restaurant for breakfast or lunch, Tony's is always at the top of the list!!

I don't understand how this place has the same rating as The Egg & I. We went because the reviews were decent, and we needed to eat somewhere close. Plus the reviews said they were quick. My glass had lipstick on it. Not the end of the world, but kinda gross. Took the girl a while to bring me a new one. When the food finally came out, I was pretty disappointed. Tasteless gravy, but the biscuits were decent. I like when they're thrown on the griddle before being plated. I did like the bacon. The eggs were edible at best. My boyfriend didn't like his food. All in all, there are much better places to get a cheap breakfast in the area. And that's where we'll be going from now on.

The best place to have homemade breakfast on the area. You can not go wrong with anything. The owners are always there and they make you feel like home. Everything on the menu is fresh. I personally recommend the Florentine Benedict (the best I've ever tried in my life) Also the sweet tea is a must, just the perfect amount of sweetness and ask for a homemade cinnamon roll, you wont regret it!

This is my new breakfast joint!! I'm a breakfast food junkie and every Saturday morning I take my twin 4 year old girls for breakfast on a daddy-daughter date. We've found several great places to conduct this tradition of ours...but Tony's is probably the best of what we were looking for: a small, intimate place with great comfort food, competitive prices, and friendly staff. I'm so happy I read the reviews on Tony's and decided to try it out! While they didn't have my 'ideal' omelet on the menu (I'm one of those that prefers sausage, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, etc...basically a typical 'Western Omelet' but with sausage instead of bacon/ham), they were more than willing to create said omelet by letting me order their Western Omelet and substitute sausage for the ham. One of my girls loves pancakes and sausage, the other biscuits and sausage and both girls LOVED their meals. We went ahead and had a cinnamon roll as an appetizer to see if it lived up to the hype I've seen in other reviews of Tony's. While we probably won't do that often (simply too much food) it was great! Overall, Tony's provides a clean, inviting atmosphere (with the exception of the aTm flag...I'm a Red Raider, lol) with staff that couldn't be more nice. One of the owners (I believe Lisa was her name?) came by multiple times to compliment my girls and make us feel welcome. The service was timely and efficient and other staff incredibly nice and accommodating. The food is wonderful, I always take time to look at what others are enjoying prior to sitting down and everyone was busy eating instead of talking...which says something. The portions are generous and the prices competitive. I'm happy to report we've found our new Saturday morning breakfast spot!

Went here for first time a few weeks ago. Excellent! I had the felafel plate and it was SO GOOD. Service and good were great. Price was also reasonable. My husband, his brother, and our friend ordered eggs. All 3 were pleased. The guy was very nice, patient with amount of time we spent deciding our food. Definitely will go again.

Nice people serving great food to nice people. I went for a late lunch and had a delicious chicken shish kabob plate. Tasty herbed chicken with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes roasted to perfection. Fresh pita, tzicki sauce and rice pilaf makes for a winning lunch. The crowd is a little older and they all seemed to know each other. The owner came by and introduced herself in between hugging all the regulars. I really enjoyed this experience.

We go to Tony's about twice a month. This is one of the few places my 2 year old will ask to go to by name. She really likes their pancakes and eggs as does my wife. My personal favorites are the Eggs Benedict and gyros. I once ordered the red bean or bean soup (can't remember) and it was excellent as well. I also like the hometown feel of this place. Its nice to just go in and have a meal casually without feeling too rushed.

Great breakfast diner situated in a strip mall. Friendly service and decent food. Try it out.

Finally, a good breakfast place near Allen! The cinnamon roll was amazing. The eggs were perfectly cooked, nice and fluffy. Can't wait to go back.

I went to this restaurant because of the great reviews. I was given a glass with water that had lipstick prints on it. When i mentioned this to the owner he acted as if i was wrong to complain about a dirty glass. I would never ever eat here if the owner thinks its okay to give customers a dirty glass just imagine what else is going on here.

This is the best diner in town. The food is always great, full of flavor and never greasy. Tony and his lovely wife are always there to greet their customers and the staff work hard to get your food and drinks quickly. My favorite is "Eggs a la Greek", you can't go wrong with that. My son has been eating the bunny rabbit shaped pancake with scrambled eggs and bacon since he was old enough to eat solid food. I also love the veggie tacos and omelette's are also delish! If we ever move we will still make the drive to have our Sunday brunch at Tony's.

This is where you go for breakfast in Plano. The service is friendly and quick. The food is generous and tasty. The atmosphere is warm with many longtime Planoites for company.

The service was great! I only had the potato soup but it was good. Not as good as La Madeline but the service made up for it. My sister had the gyro pita or the grilled chicken pita, I can't remember, but it looked delish and it tasted even better! The chicken fried steak looked pretty good as well.

Amazing service from the owners. They come around to the tables and chat with the customers. I got there around 8:30 a.m. Most of the customers were older folks (60+). Not sure if that means anything, just an observation. I had a garden veggie omelet with fried spuds, bacon on the side, and an English muffin. Chocolate milk to drink. All was yummy! Early morning yumminess, if you consider 8:30 to be early morning, which I do. Nice diner atmosphere with vintage booths, tables and chairs. I've seen it on Yelp before and have never been there yet. They didn't have any pictures, but now they will, since I have been there. Worth a visit.

Went there for the first (and last) time and got the Kafta Kabob. It was the most disappointing thing I have eaten in recent memory. The meat was so dry that I had trouble cutting it. The beef tasted like it had been cooked several days earlier and reheated, possibly several times. This is the furthest I could've imagined from the juicy meat on a stick that I was expecting. There weren't even any sticks involved. Whatever it was and however it was cooked, I am absolutely 100% certain that it was not "cooked fresh to order" like their menu claimed for everything.

A good Greek place. Staff is friendly and fast. Food is good. Nothing great about this place, and nothing bad. Would go back for no other reason than the wait for breakfast in no where near as bad as the other Plano breakfast places and the food and prices are MUCH better than the Egg & I. The cinnamon rolls that the waitress talked us (and almost all other tables that were there when we were) into was great. A bit too much frosting, but fresh and tasty.

What a perfect little diner...right out of a movie. This is one of Plano's hidden gems. The staff is courteous and the food is great. You have to try the cinnamon rolls.

This is a good place to have a cup of coffee and talk. My experience was the food was okay as a basic grill. My low score is for their attitude; our order was wrong and the waitress offered to correct it, when the manager/owner appeared and suggested that I try it the wrong way that I might like it. Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, I ordered it a certain way. I only could say if I ordered a Mercedes car and the dealership gave me an KIA then said to try it I might like it instead, I would have the same feeling about the dealership.... you take what they give you, not what you order. My friend likes to go there so I probably will go back, but only for coffee.

Their florentine Benedict is great. The hollandaise sauce was surprisingly good for a small cafe. The eggs were perfectly poached. They use ham instead of Canadian bacon, which I like and the muffins were toasted just right for me--toasted but not to hard. The home fries were cooked just right and were tasty. Great service so I'll be back for breakfast again sometime.

Have been here twice. Both times, found a hair in our food. Never again. It's a shame because the food is quite tasty and reasonably priced. But it's hard to stomach hair.

A good mix of food... A variety for everybody. I had a very a very random meal. I started by order a giro because it sounded great. Then I was trying to find the restroom and accidentially found myself in the kichen. I saw them pulling out fresh cinnamin rolls that looked great. When i got back to the table I had to order one. For the record, cinnamon roll and giro go together better then you'de think.

The food was good but the service was subpar. I think we had 6 servers--couldn't tell who was in charge. They screwed up my egg order and brought me a replacement order. They asked me to RETURN the order that they made wrong, which I had offered to other people at my table because I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that they were just going to throw it away. They told me since someone else was going to eat it then I had to pay for it !!!!! So let me get this straight, if I send it back, you're going to throw it away and it would be taken off my bill. But if I give it to someone else at my table I have to pay for it? Take back your eggs and your bad service. Won't be back.

I didn't realize my sister had also reviewed this place (Amy B), but her review disappoints me--we usually have the same taste. The main female server recognized me after only going once before. I found this place on my search for the greatest eggs benedict, but have grown to love a lot of different menu items here. I love that their breakfast is all day, and I love the service. Does it compare to Bread Winners or Cindi's Deli? It doesn't, but if I'm wanting breakfast at noon and wanting to support a local mom & pop restaurant, I'll go to Tony's.

I think I love this place because of the people. I do like their eggs benedict (I like the Hollandaise because it ISN'T too overpowering) and the times I've had the gyro, it was very tasty. The rest of the food is (sorry, Tony) average. But the friendliness and warmth from the minute you walk in keeps bringing me back. It's family owned and run and I will support them for a long, long time. Give me Tony's over iHop, Denny's or any chain restaurant any day of the week! Except Mondays. When Tony's is closed. :)

In the 90s I used to go here alot. Then I started getting irritated that they only took cash. I summized the only reason any business would only take cash and loose out on the increasing number of folks on plastic is because they evaded taxes. Well I recently returned and they are still off the nice scale but their coffee still stinks. Oh and they take plastic now. I often go out of my way for a hole in the wall cafe which Tonys should be by now but it looks much as it did 20 years ago. Looks like a surgeion gave it a atmospher bypass. Anyway, the food is still ok.

It was 1:45. I wanted breakfast. That's what happens when you don't go to bed until 6:00 in the morning. I'd never tried Tony's...hell...never heard of Tony's...but a quick perusal of Yelp and Google Maps had me in the car before they closed at 3:00. I walked in, and got a smile and a "sit anywhere" which is always nice. I'm a total man-whore for hollandaise, and they have it all over their menu. No....the menu itself was clean, they just use it on a bunch of items. There's the standard Benedict, the Steak Benedict, and (what I opted for) the omelette Hollandaise. It's three eggs folded around broccoli and Krab and covered in hollandaise. Yes, the Krab was intentionally spelled with a "K". It was imitation, but it worked in this. The eggs were perfectly and surprisingly fluffy, the broccoli al dente and was perfectly paired with an english muffin toasted to perfection. I also ordered a side of bacon (because emulsified butter covering everything just wasn't enough fat) and had to thank the waitress when she asked if I wanted it well done or chewy. All in all, it was a great neighborhood place with a friendly staff, great prices and food to come back for. If you're in plano and craving some food, try Tony's.

If you are looking for a great little diner for breakfast and lunch then you've found the place. We only found this place a week ago and had a good lunch look forward to check out their breakfast in the future.

The atmosphere is a nice change from corporate America. The owner and his wife checked on us to make sure everything was ok. The food was excellent although I only had the breakfast special. My wife had the cheeseburger and loved it. We will definitely be back to support our neighborhood cafe!

We've been going to Tony's for years. I'm surprised there's only 3 other reviews so far. Although it seems to be popular with an older crowd, which may explain that... Tony's is a small neighborhood cafe, family run, very casual. Breakfast is great (and served all day) They have healthy alternatives and vegetarian choices too. They have several Mediterranean dishes; the chicken kabob for lunch is great! Prices are very reasonable.

Great little family-run, neighborhood joint. Don't expect anything fancy, but you'll get good food and fast, friendly service. We've been going to Tony's for years, mostly for breakfast on the weekends. It's usually busy, but not crazy-packed. I almost always end up getting the veggie breakfast tacos, hubby gets the breakfast special on the whiteboard (it never changes), and our toddler gets a pancake, which they usually make into a bunny or other shape for her. We occasionally splurge and share one of the freshly-baked cinnamon rolls. We always leave stuffed. Not sure I'd drive out of my way to eat here, but if you're in the neighborhood, it's definitely worth a visit.

First time to eat here and we were amazed! We ordered the chicken fried steak and the florentine benedict. There was silence at the table, everyone was busy devouring the delicious meal. The service was great and the portions generous.

PSA Soccer Mentor Program meets there every Saturday during the season - Zero complaints and Great great food and lots of it. If you walk away hungry, it's your own fault. Hey, they even have peanut butter !!! Could it get better?

Breakfast burrito looked horrible and was mainly potatoes all smashed up with a little bacon and shoved in a store bough tortilla. They say the cinnamon rolls are made from scratch? Give me a break!! They seem like they were warmed up out of a package and masked by pouring tons of icing on them! I think prisoners on death row must get better food..... Skip this joint and go to Denny's!!!

We began eating here 25 years ago. We recently moved back to the DFW area after being gone for 17 years. Tony's was our first stop. The service is amazing and the food is fantastic. Tony and Lena remembered us after being away so long. I'll be a customer as long as they stay in business!!

Just really average food. My husband's omelette came with a big slice of kraft cheese (i.e. the kind in the plastic wrapper) melted on top....gyro was not terrible, but nothing was really that memorable.

This is a very nice, clean, laid back diner. Nothing fancy about the place. A great restaurant for a family breakfast. The food and service here are just GREAT. We order the cinnamon rolls and it was served warm and tasted very fresh. Though a little different consistency from what one would expect from a cinnamon roll but still yummy. What I was the most excited about was that they serve liver with onions for breakfast. The liver was good exactly how i was expecting. Everyone else on the table (4 of us) was very happy with their meal. My only beef with this rest ( also the reason why I do not give it a 5 star rating) is their coffee. I was surprised how weak and tasteless their coffee is. I was expecting at least an option to order a stronger coffee but our waitress confirmed they did not have anything else. The coffee was pretty much coffee-flavored water, no bueno. Nonetheless I am looking forward to going back soon ( maybe theyll let me bring my own coffee?? :)

Pan fries are wonderful, we live close & eat here regularly. Prices are fair and portions are good. We usually have breakfast so I cannot comment on lunch...yet. Service is super whether busy or not Food is always hot, fresh, homestyle cooking. I recommend trying.

Please realize that when this place says they serve breakfast all day, that it does close at 3pm. Staff is very nice and attentive. My husband and I went there for breakfast this last Sunday, and what we had at the table was ok, nothing special. Their pancakes were very heavy so order less than what you would normally eat, and my husband said his omlette was a little disappointing. What keeps me from giving this any more stars was the baklava and cinnamon roll that we got to go. My husband said that the cinnamon roll tasted like it was at least a day old. My baklava was a different story..... We didn't open it until we got home, and it actually looked like the leftovers from another table. It was a tiny pastry dough roll and a small, roundish piece about the size of a half dollar. And this was for $2.75. We felt like they gave us the crappy leftovers because we were not one of the regulars that came in while we were there. Seriously, Jason's Deli has better baklava for less. We will not be going back here at all.

Boy am I a retard! I thought Tony's had moved from a farther east Plano location to this one, but the owner told me they have been at the same spot for 22 years. How did I miss it every day walking to school? They opened when I was 15 and were just 4 blocks from my house then! Oh well, the place still has killer breakfast!
