I have been there at least 10 times since my other review. They do not disappoint. I have brought every guest I have had from out of state to try them.

I love gelato!! This place has the best and freshest gelato! They keep it very cold in the store, which is uncomfrotable, but ya know. . . I guess they have to? I don't know. If you have never tried gelato before, THIS is the place to go for a guaranteed good experience.

Lots of flavor to choose from but $4.50 for a small cone is a bit over the top. I am not a gelato connoisseur but I have had enough to know when gelato isn't served at the appropriate temperature. The gelato we had were way too soft. I had the dark chocolate, coffee and stracciatella. None of which were memorable. Save your $4.50 and pay $1.50 at Costco for an enormous cone of much better quality gelato!

Baileys chocolate and amaretto chocolate chip heaven!!! Seriously, infusing liqueur into sweet tasting buckets of ice cream was heavenly genius thinking!!! Thank you thank you thank you! Now please come open up a shop in the OC!!!

I LOVE this place. I usually get Salted Carmel but I was feeling the heat Saturday night so I decided to splurge on three flavors - my fav, salted caramel, coconut and lemon custard made the cut. Holy cow - what a GREAT combo - we also lucked out as a young couple, Rusty & Michael were just beginning to play an acoustic set. We sat on the patio - listened to great music and stuffed ourselves with gelato. Perfection.

This place has some really really good ice cream. It's one of the few locations that have pistachio flavor (not pistachio almond which is gross lol). It tastes better than regular ice cream and they have lots of flavors to choose from!

Great service and great flavors. The best thing about this place is that they have so many flavors and by default on the cup size you can choose x amount. However...I JUST LOVE THE TIRAMASU GELATO. Best thing there in my opinion. It's also in great plaza location all around a lot of restaurants. Great place for dessert!

Atmosphere This place is always clean, brightly lit, and has plenty of seating both outdoors and indoors. Sometimes they have outdoor intimate performances from local artists as well. Service I've been to this location on several occasions, and it can be hit or miss. The guy that serves us is pretty upbeat and helpful. However, sometimes we get young ladies in the evening, and they usually look like they'd rather be standing behind the counter texting than serving gelato. Though if you ask they'll point out which ones are fan favorites. Food Paciugo rotates the flavors quite frequently, and I love that they give you an opportunity to take a taste drive before you buy. I will say the Durian gelato hickjacks your tastebuds even after downing a whole cup of another flavor, be wary! Their gelato consistency, flavors have always been authentic and there isn't any cloyed mask of "I'm not sure what is in this." My personal favorite is the salted caramel. Damage One small One medium = about $7 It's a bit on the pricey side, but I would much rather pay that for something I know is made out of real milk, sugar, and authentic ingredients. Overall impressions Eyyup, this is our go-to place for frozen yummies.

My high-water mark for any frozen dairy product. You can have your Blue Bell, but for me, that was played-out in Elementary school with the little mini-cups and wooden spoons (am the only one who feared the Uvula Splinter?). Dairy-free anything doesn't count, so to hell with you, Sorbet. Only thing you're good for is scrubbing Bob's crappy steaks outta my mouth. Frozen yogurt? I want fatty desserts - that's why I'm eating it - so keep that low-fat faker away from me. And soy? Yo no soy perfecta! (Custard can stay, because we're tight like that. I miss you Sheridan's. *sniffle*) Paciugo's is fresh, really super cold, and more creative flavors and possible combinations than most/all ice cream places. Speaking of which, do NOT refer to Paciugo as ice cream. Or I will punch you in the Taco (which you just got from Tochy's, from across the parking lot).

Make sure when you shop at Market Street, you look on the back of your receipt! Most times, you'll receive a coupon for Paciugo: buy one get one free. It's definitely useful because gelato is not cheap. So anyway I've been here a couple of times and there's only really one time I was disappointed. We came about an hour before closing, ready to enjoy our delicious gelato, but as we walked in I noticed that the gelato didn't look so good - it was half melted and I thought, uh oh! I still wanted gelato and we had our buy one get one free ready to go - but I had to re-think if I really wanted the gelato or not. Since we were already there, why not right? The lady working that night did apologize that their freezer was broken and they were trying to fix it - but I thought they'd at least give us a discount for buying half melted gelato. They didn't and I learned my lesson: if that ever happens again, just turn away and go to Braums for ice cream. It's definitely not worth it to spend $4 on melted gelato and trust me - even if you try to get your brain to think it's going to taste good - it's not. Boo :( But when you go on a day where everything is all great, you will love this place! They have a wide variety of gelato and they also have really good shakes and coffee. Of course it's somewhat cold when you sit in the store and enjoy your gelato - that's why I'd go during the summer, not so much during the winter. It's nice that with a small you can always get different flavors, but sometimes I just like one flavor so it doesn't get mixed up with the other flavors. All the flavors I've tried were all great and I'd definitely recommend this place!

I love love love love ice cream!! Paciugo's ice cream has never failed me. The staff is always friendly and patient. I've been a repeat customer and plan on keeping it that way!

I usually can never go wrong with the sorbet but tried the hazelnut (called something starting with a "B") and it was amazing. Staff is always friendly and even got to meet to guy from non-stop foodies.

  • Aaron P.

Gelato is awesome, but I personally wouldn't go as far to say I will never have "regular" ice cream again. The staff seems to always be friendly and helpful at Paciugo. It is a bit pricy for the amount, but it comes with the territory I suppose. Great place for a date night.

Just incredible, I love this place. I even have the points card for it. Its better than regular ice cream. So much lighter and great tasting. Amazing, go try any location. They are all good. Crunchy chocolate swirl is a clutch flavor if you want to try something. GO!

great balls of fire this was some tasy business! We stopped here for desert after dinner on the way back to the hotel and it was absolutely the best gelato I have ever had. I took a few samples (ok alot), but ended up with the tiramusu and black cherry. Oh my god was this heaven in a cup! If this place was in phoenix there is no doubt I would be putting on the pounds like nobody's business! I got a medium cup, and they pack about 4 scoops of gelato into this little cup. They definately are not stingy about their servings here! I almost feel guilty that my wife didnt get to try this place. Ill just have to keep it our secret... shhhh

I really like this place. Delicious gelato and tons of different flavors available. I had some Carmel Sea Salt this weekend which was excellent, but most of the flavors are very good and original. I can't eat here more than once every few months due to the massive amount of calories I know I am consuming, even in the smallest size, but sometimes you gotta stuff yourself a little. I like that they let you choose multiple flavors, even in the smallest size. Expensive but very good.

I am not a snob, but going here makes me feel like one. I try to tell other people about it and I feel snobby, but this stuff is so much better than ice cream. All I can say is try it, they'll let you try every flavor for free. They put a ton of effort into each flavor, its all made fresh and on site. It doesn't get any better. I've had a lot of gelato in my life, this is the best. I like the location uptown, by the Magnolia Theatre the best, but this is right by my home so I go to the one in Plano the most.

I had been here previously with my friend, Aimee, and my husband, but not in ages. I was so excited when it was suggested last night after we had sushi. Hubby and I were so full from the sushi that we split a small and he was nice enough to let me choose our flavors. We shared the Sea Salt Caramel (Thanks Aimee for getting me addicted to that flavor!), Creme Brule and Coffee. We also got a taste or two of Aimee's Coconut and Dark Chocolate...and she had the Sea Salt Caramel too. I am really going to have to drag my dear hubby to have it more often!

This place has been opened for years and I can't believe i have never been! After trying several of the flavors i got a regular size with red Velvet, caramel and the dark chocolate. The dark chocolate was definitely my favorite of the three. It was not as sweet as the other 2 but nice and creamy. I will need to come back here more often to try the many other flavors!

I've tried lots of other gelaterias, but Paciugo is the most authentic and delicious place I've been to so far. I always measure a gelato store by its hazelnut gelato, and Paciugo's is simply amazing. It has that great depth of nutty flavor that reminds me of the hazelnut gelato I had in Italy. Paciugo also has a huge assortment of flavors, including some pretty weird/exotic ones. This weekend, they were doing some kind of Food Network featured flavor promotion, which included Organic Maple Caramelized Bacon (very tasty, but could have used a salty component.. the bacon was sweet), and Chocolate Chipotle Butter Pecan (tasted like chocolate at first, but with a spicy aftertaste from the chipotle). They also had Durian, but I don't touch that stuff.. definitely an acquired taste. On a regular basis, they also carry lavender and rose, which taste too much like perfumed soap to me. My favorites are hazelnut, dark chocolate, and most of their fruit flavors, but it's hard to go wrong here, just ask for a sample if you're unsure. Also, you can get up to 3 flavors in the small size. I love gelato, I just wish it wasn't so expensive =(

Very good. Gelato places seem to still be popping up around town and now frozen yogurt places are really popping up around town. Even though I don't think Pacuigo is quite the same as getting gelato at the Trevi fountain, I think a big part of that is the ambiance and a big part of it is that it is different but good in its own right. I also wouldn't compare it to full on American ice cream with God only knows how many calories. I think Pacuigo as it opens more stores and becomes more common loses some of its novelty but mean while gains some efficiencies. All that being said, if you are looking for gelato in North Texas, Pacuigo is as good a place as any to get a your super mini colorful shovel and dig into the Italian treat.

You people are crazy, how could you possibly eat any of the sizes about small? BUT I appreciate the news that this is less fattening than other places. :D This was my first Italian Ice Cream place, and it's hard for me to resist in the summer after eating dinner at home. That Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel, with some Wedding Cake... ohoho.. and Lemon Custard! O Lemon Custard, you are divine. Paciugo is super sneaky too, and makes different flavours seemingly at random, so you'll feel inspired to go again TOMORROW to see if your precious flavour has been made THAT day, even though you settled for something just as tasty the day before. I also love how late they stay open. Way better than running to Kroger in the middle of the night for Ben n Jerry's.

Whats not to love about gelato. Its less fatty than ice-cream and there is a range of flavors. My favorite flavor is pistachio and baileys. I go there almost every week in summer. I try out new flavors. The worst I tried was 'Lavender' - tasted like face powder.

Monkey Business--this flavor of gelato will convert any ice cream lover to try this over the old standards. A friend introduced my girlfriend and I to this place in Lakewood, and we see why it is so popular, especially on the weekends. We both got a medium sized cone--you get to choose up to three different flavors. I tried Monkey Business--a combination of banana and chocolate--and the flavors complimented each other so well, it felt like swinging from the trees! I also sampled Pistachio--another standout flavor. They have plenty of chocolate based flavors, as well as fruity ones, too. The gelato flavors can change daily or they vary by location because when I went to this Plano location, they didn't have Monkey Business (d'oh!) So if you are in the mood for something delicious to satisfy a sweet tooth, try this gelato & go home happy.

"It's healthier than ice cream so I can get the medium or large and it's still better than the small." That is the mindframe of just about every person that steps foot into Paciugo. I am also guilty of this notion. . .and it's true! A handy stop by Paciugo's Web site will get you to the glorious nutritional calendar where you can see the medium serving of milk-based gelato you just hammered into your stomach actually has half the calories and a quarter of the fat. This is why I get large now and say lactose intolerance be damned (a life motto my doctor would not agree with. . .but he doesn't own me!). The flavor combos are endless and sometimes they've got some really bizarre stuff working behind the counter. . .I've had chocolate jalapeno and it's absolutely incredible. Even the soy and water based gelatos are creamy and full of flavor which is something I definitely wasn't expecting. The hardest part is always figuring out what to order. I'll be honest and admit to going through at least 10 free samples at a time before I can make up my mind. I'm THAT guy. . .it's who I am now and I have learned to accept it. Once I settle on my choice I prefer to get the heck out of dodge and escape all the small, unruly children running around with their sticky hands and runny noses. A great place with great priced desserts. . .definitely a required stop-in if I'm in the area. *Gelato Veteran Tip: The Barnes & Noble in the shopping complex barely makes an attempt to stop people from entering with food anymore so grab your gelato and go learn something at the same time.

I lived in Italy and I know my gelato. Paciugo's is great and just like how they made it in Italy. HOWEVER, the service at the Watter's Creek location is the PITS. I have gone there on 3 occasions and it's always been the same. They barely give you any gelato. When you're paying $4 for a measly cup of gelato, the very least they can do, is really pack it in, and give you $4 worth. (It's only $2 for a giant cup in Italy, and that's in Euros!) Instead, they take that gelato paddle and scrap the gelato into the cup. This way, it leaves a big empty air pocket in your cone or cup. On my 3rd visit, I told the server to pack it in, and she was not happy. She knew exactly what I was talking about. I don't know if this is management's way of saving money, but they have to stop this. When Paciugo first opened in Dallas, I was one of their first customers and they served it just like in Italy. Big generous scoops. I hope management sees this post because I have been telling all my friends to tell the servers to PACK the gelato. Stop being stingy!

I've been in love with "Paciugo" since they opened first shop at the Lovers lane. In fact it was such cool place back then. Now ,years and many franchises sold later the quality is still top notch. You can find true italian flavors and some very unique offerings, I like their Sea Salt Caramel and Pistachio.Once had their Chile flavor one and it was awesome. In Italy gelato I've had my share of gelato in Italy. It taste about the same as what you can have in "Paciugo" The only thing about the place is their name.Italian shrugged their shoulders when I asked what it means. It stands for something , one said like "messy concoction" . Under the Texas sun it sure is.

this place introduced me to gelato, and I'll never go back to baskin robbins.... OK, not totally true, but when there is a paciugo around, I'm totally in! I like that depending on what size you get, you get 3 or 4 or 5 different flavors. Perfect for me, someone who can't make up their mind! My sister absolutely loves their soy strawberry, but they don't always have that flavor. Oh well, it means she has to try something new. They let you try samples so you don't pick one you don't like. I tried a violet flavored one.. interesting but not something I'd order. Around the holiday's they had a pumpkin pie gelato that was too die for!

I was so depressed that the Paciugo in Allen waited until the 12 days before I moved to open. I didn't know this location existed. But now, that I know that I can still run around the corner to get my Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel, life is good again. Yep, life is all about Sea Salt Caramel... and maybe some Coconut Cream.

I love paciugo's gelato and this one is the closest to my new house so I'm sure I'll be a regular customer. This location is alot larger than the other 2 locations I've been too. Lots of seating available which is nice.

I adore Paciugo gelato. It is worth the splurge to pass up a McDonalds soft serve cone and spend a few bucks more on something actually wonderful. I love to experience the new flavors and no one has ever given me the evil eye for requesting a sample to taste. Some day I will come back to try the coffee or shake concoctions, but for now I just go for what I know I love.

Mmmm, gelato-oh-oh-oh! I've been to this location and others plenty-o times. The selection of flavors are always great. Unfortunately, I'm lactose intolerant so I usually go for the fruit flavors. Sometimes I'm even willing to suffer so I can experience the awesomeness of Paciugo.

I love Paciugo. Their creamy gelato is delicious and they always have a variety of flavors. I've yet to try a flavor that I didn't like. I've only seen it once, but I really liked the rose flavored gelato!

I'm new to Dallas and thought that this place was going to be a subpar chain. Once I got sampling these incredible flavors, I knew this was my go-to gelato joint. I appreciate how their tiramisu flavor does not have that off-setting aftertaste I'd often find at other places. Coffee addicts must try the Affogato al Cafe. I recommend the pannacotta drenched in the rich espresso. Water based sorbet offerings are vast too. Lemon and Pineapple are good picks on a hot day. People behind counter are usually very helpful and willing to give you multiple samples.

Everytime my boyfriend and I want dessert, we go to Paciugo. The staff is very friendly; they will let you taste the different variety of flavors. It is Italian Gelato, and very authentic. The owner came over here from Italy. Her family had been in the gelato business for generations. My family and I used to go to the first one in Dallas, and the owner told us about buying the huge very expensive gelato freezers. They care way more about what the customers think than about profit, and it shows. All of their flavors are really good, even the weird ones (Celery Strawberry? Carrot Banana?). They are very creative. My absolute favorite is Pannacotta (wedding cake). So good I have to get it every time no matter what else I get. Dulce de leche is also to-die-for. You can pick up to 4 flavors depending on what size you get. Prices are good, and you can even take larger sizes home. They also have new sundaes (Coppa Gelato), which I haven't tried, but look soooo good online.

  • Allie P.

Paciugo is good, but don't let them fool you into thinking that it even comes close to REAL Italian gelato. It's one of the only places around that sells gelato, so it's good in a pinch if I ever have an overwhelming craving. But if you've ever eaten gelato over in Italy, it's a pretty disappointing substitution.

  • Kelli H.

Yummy. I always go in planning to try the milk free flavors but I get too tempted by the chocolate creamy stuff...even though my tummy doesnt like it too much. The girl behind the counter kept eating the blueberry soy...So I think I will try that next time. They also serve coffee. Haven't tried that yet...Next time...next time.

The most delicious and refreshing gelato you will ever get! Paciugo is the best place for dessert, and they have many flavors to choose from! Try the "Wedding Cake" flavor! Price is fair, and service is good. Can also get gelato to go as well.

If you want to know how good Paciugo's gelato is, you can read nearly any review for that information. It is fresh, delicious and creative. But I'd like to mention that this location is exceptional in customer service. The franchise owner, Paul, is a really super person - he seems to remember us every time we come in (though I don't think it's possible that he does, but it's nice to have that impression made anyway). I'd come back here any time just for the good experience that I have each time.

Siiiigh, I'm literally salivating at the thought of the Green Tea gelato I just had. I'm dreaming about the day I taste it again. Thank god there's a location in Houston. Paciugo is without a doubt the best gelato I've ever had. Hands down. So many flavors to choose from and you can get multiple flavors in one cup. Not overly sweet, not too robust with flavor that it gets sickening quickly. It's just heaven in a cup. Simple as that.

What is Gelato? Gelato is similar to ice cream and has a magical texture. It is the Italian word for "ice cream", derived from the Latin word (meaning "frozen"). In English this word commonly refers to varieties of ice cream made in a traditional Italian style. Compared to ice cream, gelato is made with a relatively small amount of air. So what??? Glad you asked!! Because of Its reduced air content it is not prone to ice crystal formation often battled in ice cream. There is a greater proportion of whole milk to cream and it is churned at slower speeds than ice cream yielding a product that is super silky and lower in fat. Hence, the result is pure, sweet DECADENCE! At Paciugo's there is a flavor for everyone to savor. The caramel sea salt & creme brûlée are wonderful. Many, many choices. The only con- the portions are huge. Even the smallest is enormous. Be forewarned. Also, be forewarned that this place is highly addictive! Be prepared to enjoy.

So, I have pretty high expectations for gelato having eaten the real deal in Europe a couple months ago. Paciugo is a good ice cream joint, but I wouldn't call it authentic gelato. I went on a Friday at 9:30pm and the place was booming with a line forming outside. That's a good sign, right? Knowing there would be a long wait gave me the opportunity to look through their flavor selections. Keep in mind that while they have a ridiculous number of flavors listed on the website, only about 1/4 of those will be available when you go (some are seasonal.) I ordered a small tiramisu and small hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was top notch. Not some packet Swiss-miss stuff, but real made fresh cocoa. The gelato was a disappointment though. It's not as creamy as the gelato I've had before, and isn't as flavorful. It's not BAD at all, just not the best I've had. As far as soft serve, or ice cream goes, it's high end, but it's not a GREAT gelato. A little too icy compared to what I've had. Pros: Customer service (everyone was nice and offered samples. I even witnesses them remake coffee for a customer that wanted it hotter even though it was steaming already). Drinks- hot cocoa was awesome. They have a number of mixed coffee items, as well as shakes. The selection of drinks and gelato options are expansive. This place is also very clean despite being exceptionally busy. The price is reasonable. $7 for a small gelato and small cocoa. Cons: gelato isn't creamy or flavorful enough if you've had "real" gelato. Maybe I just haven't had the right flavor, but I wasn't awe-struck like everyone else was. The milk based flavors are still very icy and could be mistaken with non-milk flavors if the signs weren't clear.

This place is classic if you want a solid gelato in Plano after dinner or on a Sunday afternoon. They have their old favorites like chocolate hazelnut, Italian wedding cake, and pistachio but constantly switch their selection out with new flavors like green tea, rose, and interesting sorbets. This location in particular will often offer free live music on Saturday evenings (Rusty and Michael are a wonderful duet that frequently come from 8:30-10 pm). Love coming here!

Paciugo is your Italian ice cream/gelato shop, a ton of unique flavors - flavors with coconut, coffee, mint, fruit, cookies, chocolate, cake, etc. You can get Piccolo (up to 3 flavors), Medio (up to 4 flavors), and Grande (up to 5 flavors) . They also have smoothies, shakes, and coffee drinks. Service that day was blah. Our cashier seem depressed like he was going to bust out crying any minute. Poor fella. The store smelled like bleach that day. Trash cans were filled to the top, and sticky tables. Paciugo is a nice option to have, but there's so many ice cream shops. Sure, gelato has less "milk fat" than regular ice cream, but ice cream is ice cream.Healthy or not if I like it I'll eat it.

Good place for dessert or to meet someone up instead of the boring old Starbucks!!! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars because I think this location is always a bit slow when I go and doesn't have as good flavors as the one in shops at legacy. Overall awesome place!

GREAT GELATO with GREAT SERVICE and GREAT SUNSHINE!!!! I love this store. The service is great. You can ask to taste as many flavors as you want, and the servers are very happy to help you. I love chocolate, so whenever I go, I would also pick flavors with chocolate, and THERE ARE MANY CHOICES WITH CHOCOLATE!! For example, there are mint chocolate chip, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate turtle, etc, etc. I usually get a small cup, and you can choose up to 3 different flavors. The serer who helped me was very kind, and PILED MY CUP WITH GIANT SCOOPS of gelato. I was very satisfied. This is also a great place to hang out. There is a lot of leg room with great lighting. Barnes and Nobles are just next door, so you can go browse through the books after you finish a delicious serving of Italian ice cream!

Gelato seems like the next big thing (although I guess froyo and bobba tea are still doing pretty well). Paciugo delivers a large variety of flavors with some really friendly and nice employees. This particular paciugo is located near a bunch of pretty good restaurants and shops, which makes it an ideal hang out/dessert place. Walking in, you will be warmly greeted and prompted to try out any flavor you want. Definitely try them out, cuz there are... a lot. You can purchase gelato (which is pretty much ice cream except it uses milk instead of cream) in a cone or in cups (3 sizes). Depending on whether you enjoy eating the crunchy parts of a cone (which i do), you can choose the best option for you. The small sizes gets you up to 3 flavors, medium up to 5 flavors, and large up to 7. I found the small size sufficient for my sugar desires. Pricing wise, I would say this place isn't super cheap. If you are looking for typical froyo volume/price, you probably won't find it here. However, if you are low on money, I would say that a small is more than enough for one person. As aforementioned, there are many interesting and standard flavors here: mint chocolate, carrot cake, more chocolate, black cherry, cheesecake. (I am paraphrasing some of the flavor names... but you get the idea). I particularly enjoyed the mint chocolate, but that's just me. Feel free to try out the more obscure flavors! In all, great place, really nice employees, really cool flavors, good desserts. V. Nice :D

Wow. First time here. Got the s'mores and the cookies and cream. The texture is the best part of the ice cream and the unique flavors that they produce. Today they offered a guiness ice cream. Something i've never seen before. I had a sample and it actually tastes like guinness. I think i liked the cookies and cream the best.

I arrived at 5 mins past 10pm. I Was late agreed. But to shut the door on my face. Not even the decency to tell me on my face. Just shut the door and walked away. While still serving customers inside. You see 4 brown guys and act so disrespectfully. Shame on you.

All I have to say is Violet and Rose. Guess I'm a flower kind of girl! Amazing floral flavors that are not overpowering but more subtle and not too sweet.

'Paciugo': supposedly means 'Messy Concoction'. This seems unfortunate to me, as 'messy' has tends to have a negative connotation, and I don't want to associate 'Paciugo' with anything negative. I would rather associate it with Colorful Rainbows, Fluffy Bunnies or Big Pots o' Shiny Gold (or whatever you currently associate with happiness) Their mainstay is gelato, and they do a bang-up job on that front. They use quality ingredients, and manage to make a very creamy, flavorful and satisfying experience while still managing to keep the butterfat content down. Not to mention the plethora of flavors. Quite impressive. Quite Tasty. They don't really do 'sundaes' or 'mix-ins' that ice cream places offer. 'Paciugo' lets their quality gelato speak for itself. Less well known, and yet possibly even more impressive to me, are their drinks, espresso based and non. They use gelato in both their hot & cold drinks. They have affogatos, frappes & shakes that might be expected with a gelato place, but then there is the 'Gelatte': a espresso latte using steamed gelato. Fantastic! (I love me some creamy, sweet stuff for breakfast!)

For yummy in the tummy ice cream, when I am in west Plano this is my goto spot for a cool treat.

I've always loved Paciugo from the moment I tried it but today I was disappointed. I haven't been in about six months and things have definitely changed. My biggest issue is that you can no longer get 2 or 3 flavors in the small cup. Only one flavor is permitted. And the medium cup is able to have two flavors but not three. The small cup has always been more than enough but it's sad to know that I will only be able to enjoy one flavor. Even Sprinkles ice cream allows you to get two flavors in their small cup. Also, I arrived 15 minutes before closing and all the chairs for outside seating were all locked up. Securing the chairs 5 minutes before closing is understandable but 15 minutes before is rude, unprofessional and results in a poor customer experience. The gelato is delicious here but I definitely lost some of my love for Paciugo today.

TOP NOTCH customer service! Super friendly staff! We don't eat dairy, so we had the Pannacota with soy milk, which was awesome! And I had the water based Strawberry and my boyfriend had the water based Chocolate. Both were really good! Didn't miss the milk at all! After were done, I made a pit stop in the ladies room and OMG BEST TOILET PAPER EVER!!!! A win all the way around.

Love this place but I dont let myself come here too often because it is pretty expensive! I recently came here on a friday night and it was non stop. I sat there for an hour after getting my treat and there was a line the whole time. Dont get me wrong the service was great and people were able to get their gelato quickly but there was just like a never ending supply of people who wanted gelato. That showed me that this paciugos delivers consistently. They deliver quality service and a quality product. I think you would be pretty pleased if you came here even though it is super expensive.

Went here last night, and I loved it! The flavors were AMAZING! there were some really unique options & the guy working was super nice & let us sample as many flavors we wanted. My favorites ended up being the sea salt caramel, apple pie & very berry (which was like white chocolate & berries, so yummy!) I got the small & you can have up to 3 flavors in it which was awesome, it looked really small but it was ok sized. My mom got the pistachio flavor & the rose flavor, and the rose flavor was so awesome, it was really unique & not overly sweet or weird, definitely try it! I'm not a pistachio fan but my mom & sister thought the pistachio was great, it tasted like real pistachios. The sizes were kinda small but the flavors were so good I had to give 5 stars :P

I've been here many times. Lots of selections. But every time I get the pistachio flavor. It's nutty and creamy. Just delicious! Give it a try. And the people serving at the counter are so nice!

I literally dream of their gelato. It is sooooooo good, and they offer so many flavors. I went out of my comfort zone and got orange saffron, and lilac (I think), along with a few other flavors. So so so so good!

Everything here is great except more vegetation on the patio or better shade in the summer and sometimes kids behind the counter who don't know much about customer service. All else is awesome. The products the coffee or drinks. Plenty of space indoor or outdoor. Love it.

#hope 3 different flavor ice cream a cup back# I love paciugo! Always have some ice cream after dinner as my best dessert! But I found out if I ordered a small cup, I only can choose one flavor. You can choose two if u order middle. Only the large cup can have 3 flavors. I don't like this change. I don't think other customer like it also. Please change back. No matter how big the cup we order, we still can choose three flavors ice cream. thank you!!

The staff is really REALLY nice, you have a lot of selections...but I just don't like Italian ice cream I guess. The tiramissu flavor is horrible and the chocolate was :S. lol I just don't like how artificial the flavors taste....so tossed half of mine. Ended up throwing away my daughters ice cream (almost all of it) because she didn't like it. She just sat down and let it melt after trying a spoonful (and playing in it). -_- Once again, the staff was very nice and helped cleaned up her mess (which we both apologized for) and said "Don't worry, this isn't the first time and it wont be the last." Wasn't a satisfying desert. We'll stick to real ice cream in the future. Summary - 7.00 for artificial flavored "ice cream". *cringe*

Everything I tried here is heavenly delicious. I love the daily specials and wish I could afford going everyday so that I don't miss out on a flavor. The service is usually good. I try not to come during a busy time because because they run out of seats and it gets so loud.

Amazing flavors. My favorites are rose, lilac, salted caramel, chocolate hazelnut, pistachio, praline, and hazelnut. You can get 3 or more flavors at a time depending on the size you get. The kids who work there are super nice and friendly - and polite/respectful. They have outside and inside seating. They are also very clean. Love it. My kids love them too. My five year old loves the sorbets (strawberry and tangerine) and my daughter loves the bubble gum and mint chocolate chip gelatos.

Gelato was okay. Certainly nothing special. But whomever hires the help might want to be a bit more stringent. No personality.

I HEART PACIUGO! Is it authentic?? I don't know. And, I don't CARE. The gelato here is great to me, but then again I don't discriminate against any type of frozen dessert. Make that ANY dessert. I personally love the water based chocolate sorbet the best! Get the teensy cup though - although it looks itty bitty, the flavors are rich and by the time you finish the small cup you'll have had enough! The s'mores flavor is my second fave! Great place to pop in for a frozen treat in the summer! Or, uhh..any/all the time.

One of the original gelato places in Plano. They make different flavors everyday, but they also don't make very many different flavors. They have seasonal things like candy cane for the holidays or pumpkin pie for thanksgiving etc. It's a nice change but the rest of the year, it's pretty much the same. Nonetheless, I still stop by to get my gelato fix!

This review is long overdue. Even though Paciugo is a gelato chain, this location stands out because they have ample amounts of seating inside and on the patio compared to their sister locations. On warmer days, someone is playing live music. The crowd that frequents this location is mostly teens and families so it gets loud. Someone's baby is usually screaming for ice cream here. But that's okay, you'll be too distracted by the delicious gelato to care.

I had to try this place after hearing so much about it, and it's pretty darn good! I like that they have water based selections as well as dairy. You can get a small cup and not feel too bad about the calories, especially since the flavors are all so rich. I had the water based kiwi and raspberry and really liked both of them. And they let you sample whatever you want before deciding so you're sure to enjoy what you picked!

Every once in a blue I crave me some gelato in those cute little cups...this place satisfies that craving! Try the Bailey's flavor, cookie dough, or if you like fruity they have sorbet. Great way to beat the heat! I love going by Whole Foods afterwards since it's in the same shopping center and cruising the aisles for goodies.

Great quality gelato and sorbet. The best variety of flavors and taste. I personally like the black cherry swirl and the banana. It's a little expensive to eat often but come here for some good quality stuff

I got a medium sized cup and the girl there filled my cup to the top. I know that sounds funny but if you have ever been to a Paciugo .. I'm sure you know what I mean. My sister got the small and somehow her's looked like a volcano erupting and mine looked like a beverage trying not to overflow from inside the cup.. UGH* upsetting .... my comment is not about getting your "BANG FOR YOUR BUCK" but about being consistent with your serving sizes, taste, service .. etc!!!

I don't know if Paciugo will be this great if there was another gelato place in Plano. Its only challenger that I know of is Central Market's gelateria. Its other competitor is the Ben and Jerry's just south on Preston My faves, cinnamon, coconut, pistachio, triple-chocolate, panacotta, tiramisu and Bailey's. Costlier than ice cream so watch-out when ordering coz the totals can get away on you easy. A plus though is that the flavors are more intense than ice cream so a small will do.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
