Service was terrible mgmt sucks and was swearing at customers. Save money and go anywhere else

Understaffed. We waited 10 mins and no one took our drink order. We were on lunch so we had to walk out. They only had one waitress for lunch time.

We always stop in for football and all day happy hour which is the best in Plano $1 beers, $2 wells hard to beat! Plus their sushi is fresh and service is fast!

Love this place!! I've been eating here for about 2 years. I usually get the Pad Thai or the Yellow Curry Fried Rice. Both are exceptional. The quantity is plenty to fill my belly and have plenty to take home. I would recommend this place!

Their Thai dishes are pretty good. Service is pretty slow. Lunch is a better option than dinner.

My first review ever. I ordered orange chicken last night, and there was very little or no chicken in it. Lots of fried bits of nothing. In a watery sauce. Great location -- mgmt needs to make some changes!!

I use to go here every week. But for the past few months it's been going down hill. The quality of service is just horrible. The wait staff doesn't seem to care about the customers. The second you walk in, the first thing you see is them sitting down at a table. It took one person to seat us, another to give us water, and another to finally serve us. And every time the waitress brought us food, she just dropped it on the table and walked away. The Thai food hasn't changed too much in quality but the sushi is just nasty. The sushi rice was extremely stale and was barely edible. I don't know what happened, but things have changed.

Delicious massaman and yellow curries. These aren't anything like Indian curries, they are creamier and somehow lighter tasting while being thicker in consistency. Contradiction, i know but it is a delicious one. I cant wait to try the rest of their menu. Service was exceptional and cocktails were good. Oh! Get the coconut or jasmine rice for a flavor party in your mouth.

Service was exceptional. Food however was not very good. I had the peanut chicken and the peanut sauce was terrible. What little sauce there was was bland, overly sweet and brown (sweet brown goo) with few teeny pieces of peanut. The chicken pieces were 3-41/2" long and unseasoned. Big whole leaves of Boc Choy. Very hard pieces to eat. The carrott flower was beautiful but raw and not part of the dish. I will stick with Best Thai.

Great service ! Loved the attentiveness of the staff. Ordered the chicken and shrimp dumplings which was delicious! The BBQ chicken ramen noodle bowl hit the stop. The broth was very flavorful along with the textured ramen. It was an overall great experience!

Siu Mai came out with less than two minutes of ordering. We were the only people in the place in the middle of the afternoon. Our lunch order came out within 4-5 minutes. My curry panang was tasty but there was so little rice that came with it. The Bento Box meal my buddy got seems like the best deal. Comes with soup, salad, California Rolls, steamed veggies and fruit and ice cream. He got the Pad Thai and he was happy with it. Overall, it was okay for me. For a place called Asian street food, I was expecting more of an Asian variation, but it's mostly Thai inspired. Was hoping to find a few Filipino flavors.

Big menu. Had fried roll with crab and avocado, tom yum, tom kah, rainbow roll, pad keep mow - all great. Attentive, knowledgeable service. Nice and very clean. 1981 radio fare. Good place for a date before heading out.

Food was GREAT-- portion size was awful!!!!!!!!! I got the summer rolls and they were about 2 inch in length I couldn't believe it! Also got the Sui Mai- also very minature in size.. I had two items cost me over 10 and I am still starving! It is a tease especially since the food was very good.

Decent stop for lunch Not sure what are their forte dishes here, they have a mix of Thai, sushi and hibachi. The Thai dishes were okay, but they wouldn't be the best Thai dishes I have ever had. The sushi dishes are okay, not THE place for sushi (there's Fin right next door). They don't have the normal hibachi dinner and show with chef setting, so I'm not quite sure what their hibachi will be like. Overall, everything is okay, a lot of choices.

Been here 3 or 4 times and the service is always a little slow. The food is good but I think there are better places out there. We probably won't be going back for awhile.

It was.. OK. The waiter was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the caterpillar roll and some tuna sushi. My husband ordered the volcano chicken. Mine was pretty good but very overpriced. I've had way better sushi in the area that I paid either the same price or less for. The volcano chicken was very sweet and not spicy at all (which was recommended to us and the sole reason we ordered it). We won't be back unless it's for happy hour. Just too expensive for what you get.

The quality of the food here depends on what you order. I ordered the pork skewers (really tasty :)) and tom kha soup with shrimp and found both to be delicious. However, my dad ordered the "Big Bowl" of seafood noodle soup and the portion was not that big and the broth/noodles were just average. Service is good and pretty quick, and the ambiance is pretty nice too for lunch.

My sister and I go to this place all the time. We love the authentic Thai street dishes, but honestly we go for the dessert. The mango sticky rice, to be exact. Just try it, you won't be disappointed. My mouth is watering just typing about it.

This is where I take my family when Burgers, Chicken and Pizza aren't cutting it that day. Good selection, Good food, Good Employess. That is what we expect every time we go and they deliver and that is why we make this place our regular stop. I see all these people with negative reviews on this place and it begs to question there mental state we have been going for years without issues.

Ok,ok take out the street food tag, but there's something still worthy of praise here. Chicken Satay skewers were perfectly grilled white meat, not undercooked clumpy fat like others, with tasty peanut sauce. Pad Thai is more than serviceable, as it tasted very fresh and balanced. Nice dessert selection, although green tea ice cream was standard. (Probably better off going for something like the fried banana dish instead). Very spacious and relaxed area. Real friendly staff that accommodate you. Worth the trip.

If I can give this place NEGATIVE stars I would! My husband ordered me Thai basil chicken and pot sticker for pick up. The food is horrible and water down. ALL YOU CAN TASTE IS OVER SEASONING OF SOY SAUCE. When we try to reach someone there regarding the issue with the food. They said they can't do anything for us. they didn't care to hear about the food issues at all. I'm Asian and this good is disgusting. Please save yourself a bad meal and money and go somewhere that serves good Asian food!!!

We went there for the first time today. It was ok. We started with the papaya salad and it was great. I had the cashew chicken. The sauce was too salty but the chicken was really good. My husband had the pad thai and he said it was too sweet. However our server was very pleasant and attentive.

Great food I don't know why everyone is saying it is authentic though. It certainly is delicious, but not authentic. It's not Americanized either, its Thai food with American ingredients subbed in when they are more available and of higher quality. (E.G sometimes using angle hair pasta). The curries don't come with very much rice so you might want to order some extra.

Not quite the asian street food I remember getting in places like Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco or even Pittsburgh. The food was okay, but not any better than other Chinese or Japanese places I've been. Went around 6 pm on a weeknight and there was no crowd to speak of. The food was good, but I thought it was more on the gourmet side than the street food side.

Le sigh! Nope, Nope, Nope! Ordered for the first time last night, against my better judgement. I have heard fairly negative reviews from friends about Chow Asian, but really don't want to judge them before I am able to try it out for myself. Cutscene: I don't feel well and am craving some Tom Yum or Tom Kha soup. D (the husband) isn't home yet so I decide to order online via GrubHub. D wants Orange Chicken and I get what I hope is a cure all big bowl of Tom Kha soup with noodles. Score, there is a free coupon for 3 free small springs rolls. Place the order at 8:15 pm on Monday evening. The estimated wait is an hour, it's ok, usually places that are 4 miles or less away from us deliver food quicker than the estimated time. Plus, with being fairly late Monday evening, I was pretty positive that they would be early, but if anything, definitely on time. 9:25 pm rolls around, D looks at me and says that he should have gone to get it. I agree, but we call the restaurant and the person who answered the phone was nice and said the delivery guy should be there any minute. He was, he knocked about 5 minutes after we hung up the phone. An hour and 15 minute wait for a chicken dish and a bowl of soup, annoying, but it's ok, s*%^ happens. The soup was huge and really...just ok. There was maybe 3 slices of little tomatoes in there, and the chicken was really just rubbery, and not edible. I stuck with drinking/spooning out some of the broth but definitely didn't finish the whole thing. I didn't even bother with the noodles. Now, D's Orange Chicken was $14.99. Quite the pricey dish, if you ask me. I cannot even believe that anybody preparing food would allow something like that to leave their kitchen, let alone have the gall to charge $15 for it! The chicken was a mellow orangey yellow and basically swimming in water. I sneaked a piece of D's broccoli and I wished I hadn't. Absolutely no flavor and why the heck is everything so wet and soggy looking?! He couldn't even eat his meal, but mustered through a few bites just so he didn't have to go to bed hungry. Thankfully, the 3 tiny (free) spring rolls we received were pretty tasty and I let him eat 2 of the 3. I ordered the Sticky Mango Rice as a treat....realllyyyy wish I hadn't. Why do they feel the need to turn their sticky rice to a very unappetizing Christmas green? The mango was sliced, but very mushy and basically turned to water. It was definitely chunked with the other food we didn't eat. All in all, never, ever, ever again! $40 (including a $6 tip for the driver) for an inedible Orange Chicken and a bowl of Tom Kha Soup with ramen noodles on the side, and a yucky green Mango Sticky Rice. Wayyyy too expensive for bad food. I feel used and abused. Guess ya don't learn without making a few mistakes along the way. Lesson learned.

SLOW AS HELL!!! We are literally 2 miles from the restaurant and we ordered food on a Tuesday and they took almost an hour to deliver our food. If you want your food at a decent time order from somewhere else. Not worth it and way too expensive!

I always walk away hungry when I order sushi. This place was no different. I actually got a $17.99 Bento box and thought that that might be filling as it was kinda higher priced. I was wrong. First off, we walk in there and get seated immediately. I ordered the sushi bento box and the wife got the chicken curry bento box. Be clearly aware that the sushi bento box comes with two pieces of sushi and 3 pieces of sashimi as advertised, but those two pieces of sushi are 1 cooked shrimp sushi and 1 imitation crab sushi. That's literally the cheapest two pieces of sushi they could give you. The menu picture clearly shows two pieces of sushi with salmon and tuna. The pieces of sashimi were pretty small, probably 1" by 1.5" - one tuna, one another kind of tuna and one salmon. It also comes with two tempura shrimp which were actually not dipped in batter, but rather breaded. Also included is a California Roll, a small salad, a choice of soup, some edamame and a scoop of ice cream. After ordering, I checked in on Yelp and saw that there was a "free appetizer" check-in offer so we asked if we could redeem that, the answer was yes, so we ordered the vegetable tempura. I asked if we could redeem a check-in offer each and the waiter said, "No, just one per table." I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. So we get back to talking while we wait for our food and a different waiter comes up and asks me what I'd like for my free appetizer. I ask him, "I get an appetizer?" and he said yes, so I ordered the summer rolls. Then not 2 minutes later, the original waiter comes back and says, "I was told by the other waiter that you wanted the summer rolls. Did you want to add that to your order?" I told him that I was using my Yelp offer and he then told me that the other waiter was mistaken and he'd have to charge me for it. I told him that I didn't want it if that were the case. So much waffling over $5.99. The veggie tempura was average. It was crisp. It was warm, not piping hot as I would have expected and the tempura sauce was actually some kind of sweet syrup, not the salty variety that I was expecting. So the California Roll was probably the best thing in the bento box. I enjoyed the whole roll and had to stretch it across the whole meal, since the rest of it was a little lackluster. As I mentioned, the shrimp tempura should be batter dipped, not breaded. It was good, but it wasn't tempura. The salad was average because it came with a tiny drizzling of ginger dressing. The edamame was actually pretty good but got cold quickly and lost some of its appeal. Soup was also only warm and since it was a cold night, really was mediocre. For almost $45, this place was a letdown. I would expect the bento box to come with some kind of filler so I don't walk away still hungry and out $20/person. Even a scoop of rice might have done it. The portion was just too small to warrant the price. It's like the owners are skimping on everything to save a buck. The ambiance is fine, about par for a restaurant in this area of town. Just disappointed. Half a Bruce Star: Better than fast food.

My Togo place for Thai food or other Asian food! I'm sure there are many good Asian restaurants in dallas but chow asian is one of the best ones in the area. I come here at least once a week, always get their pad see ew or fried rice. You know it's good food when the owner (is Thai btw) is also the chef! Sushi rolls are not bad either. Recommend!

We stopped by here to grab dinner with a friend. While this place wasn't terrible, I left a little unhappy as well. Our server was new and didn't really know the menu well. Considering he did just fine, it was more of the food itself that I wasn't too keen on, I ordered a chicken and vegetable dish with coconut rice. While the chicken wasn't half bad, I really didn't like the coconut rice. It literally tasted like someone had added a ton of butter to just plain old normal jasmine rice. It just wasn't what I was expecting, especially because I was hoping to at least get a sense of the coconut flavor in the dish. Anyway, this place was a decent find for a quick meal. While I would stop by again if I were in the area, I wouldn't try to go out of the way to come here.

My friend and I recently tried this restaurant because I have another friend who is a waiter here. When we walked in, the general atmosphere impressed us. It was modern and clean and the waiters were very nice and respectful. My waiter friend was very professional and treated us as if we were any other person dining here (even when I was asking him annoying questions, he answered every one of them with respect). I ordered the Gyoza and my friend ordered the Crispy Spring Rolls as appetizers. They were both to DIE for! So delicious. I ordered the Seafood Pad Thai which was AMAZING! It came with a handful of scallops and squid mixed in with the noodles, 3 pieces of shrimp, and 2 oysters. The sauce on the noodles was PERFECT! You get to choose the level of spiciness you want and I chose level 2 which was perfect for me - the perfect mixture of sweet and spicy. My friend ordered the beef noodle soup with thin rice noodles. I don't really know how that tasted but it looked delicious and she said it was delicious, so I believe her haha. The price was definitely worth the serving! Plus, the food came out pretty quickly which was great because we were starving! After we finished as much as we could, we ordered ice cream. I ordered the green tea ice cream and my friend ordered the vanilla. It was delicious! I can honestly say that everything that we ordered was delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Who'd thought this little restaurant could pack a punch like this! Excellent service, wonderful food, even a great beer choice! The interior is welcoming and pleasantly decorated. I had the Tom Yum soup and yellow curry. I couldn't have been more happy!

Went for happy hour. $1 draft- can't beat that. The happy hour prices were appealing but they really skimped on the ingredients and portion size. The Dynamite roll had mostly tempura flakes with a little crab mixed in & eel sauce. It was only $5 but a complete waste of money. Nigiri = the SMALLEST pieces I've ever seen. Shrimp tempura roll= mostly tempura with a small piece of shrimp inside. This is a horrible excuse for a sushi restaurant. The Thai may be a different story, but I won't be returning to find out.

The food here just isn't every good, even when it was "Asian street food" or something. Someone told me that it changed and opened to 3 am so I thought why not. There's not many late night options in Dallas so let's see what's up. Well, first off, they don't open till 3 in the morning. Damn you random Asian lady with the misinformation. Whatever, I'm already here. It was a bit awkward being the only one in the restaurant, but the alternative was to walk out which is more awkward. (Looking back, I should have just pretended to need a to go menu. Ahhh, hindsight.) So I like to check into Yelp everywhere I go so that I have a record of where I've been in case I need to backtrack something I ate or did. Turns out you get a free appetizer if you check in, but only for items under $5. To be honest, I think it's YMMV since the server seemed reluctant to honor this and also, nothing was under $5. With neither of us wanting to point to the elephant in the room, the server just went with it if it was close. The shu mai came close at a little over $5 so I opted that over dumplings or edamame. For the entree, I picked a curry. The shu mai came in way overcooked/boiled/steamed which is concerning. I'm thinking ahh f@#%, dinner is going to suck tonight. Why? With the exception of dim sum places, shu mai most likely comes prepackaged and all you have to do is boil it. (This is also true of dumplings and edamame.) Boiling something isn't hard. We all made Top Ramen before and can agree on this. I was the only one in the restaurant, so someone in that kitchen didn't give a flip. And dammit, normally I would say something or not eat it, but it was free and I felt like it was rude if I didn't finish it. Unfortunately I didn't feel that way about the curry. I had maybe three bites and just gave up. To heck with couth. I just asked for the check and left a full plate of curry there to be thrown away. Tipped the server 20% based on a bill had I been charged the appetizer and went on my merry way.

I and my wife went to CHOW today, first time trying. It was kind of okay tasting. The calamari was good but wrong sauce to put with, spicy tuna is okay not a lot if taste to it. Then the main course: red curry with jasmine rice and green curry with sticky rice. Curry was pretty salty, not a lot of ingredients but lots of sauce not what I wanted. The rice wasn't enough at all. So that was a downer. Customer service was okay, took them a while to order our food and to bring out our food. So overall I give them two stars for the happy hour that save us a little money. The food very pricey and very little food.

DO Not Come Here! I usually will not be so blunt about a review, but this place has food that is not edible. I have never been to a Thai restaurant that has food that don't taste like Thai food. It is very rare to find a Thai restaurant that is not good. I had the tom yum soup where the tofu is a little cold, the papaya salad straight never tasted so bad like a pile of vinegar dumped on it, their happy hour...don't do it because it comes with only one piece. It doesn't seem like the owner cares to run this place. They got a little busy and a girl came out serving in a short dress. To top it off, two of my girlfriends and myself had a mild tummy ache after leaving the place. There are only two positive things, our waiter was super sweet and their fries ice cream came out normal. Will not be back!

Long story short, don't eat here. The prices are high, the management isn't courteous, and the food just isn't good. My wife and I had driven past this place countless times over the past year, so we finally decided to stop in and see what the food was like. When we arrived the place was basically empty, which perhaps we should have taken as a sign, but we figured it was due to the weather (which was somewhat cold and rainy). We were seat quickly and ordered a few drinks. So far so good. The pictures on the menu looked pretty good, if a bit pricey. We ended up choosing two items that had pictures on the menu, Thai Spicy Basil and Thai Basil Grilled Sea Bass. The sea bass was quite expensive at $27, but look great in the picture so we decided to order it anyway. Our drinks showed up soon afterwards. My drink (whiskey) was a very nice pour, but it was clear that the mug for my wife's beer was quite small (it was small to begin with and the interior glass was very thick, obviously reducing the volume). We weren't thrilled with the beer, but the whiskey pour was pretty good so we figured it evened out. The major problem came when the food arrived. My Thai Spicy Basil looked nothing like the picture and was sort of cold. Despite listing asparagus and basil leaves as two of the primary vegetables, there was little to be found of either one. While not horrible, it was certainly disappointing. My wife's sea bass was MUCH worse. Despite being a $27 entree, it didn't even look like it was worth half of that. The meat looked below average and despite bok choy being prominently featured in the entree photo, there was exactly none of it in the actual entree (it seemed that both entrees were mainly covered with peppers and not much else). As this was an expensive entree for this type of establishment, we complained to the waiter. He said he'd have to check and see if bok choy was normally included with the sea bass. He went off to check, and as it was obviously included, he offered to bring us bok choy on the side. My wife felt that defeated the whole purpose of the bok choy (obviously it needs to be cooked with the rest of the dish) and asked if she could take it back and have something else. The waiter said okay and took away the dish. Roughly one minute later, the waiter re-emerged with a lady (I assume the manager). She clearly did not want us to return the entry (I guess because the fish was expensive) and asked what she could do to make it better. Against our better judgement, we asked if it could be re-cooked with the bok choy. She said yes and took the food back. The food came back about two minutes later, clearly not enough time to do a substantial job cooking the bok choy. At that point we gave up and just decided to cut our losses. We ended up packing the sea bass home in hopes that we could do a better job of preparing it ourselves. We ate the rest of the thai basil, but to call it average would be a stretch. We we got the bill we hoped that they would maybe cut as a break on things, but nope, everything was at full price. We paid the bill and left and we will definitely not be back. Again, don't eat here. The prices are high, the food is bad, and the management isn't help. There are much, much better Thai places in Dallas.

We've been looking for good Thai food nearby and the thing I was craving was some good Thai soup, specifically Tom Kai Gai. The soup was really good and I'm ready to go back for just a soup bowl, even if I get it to go. I shared an appetizer with my husband that had a variety of items and they were all good. Then I had my soup which was actually Tom Yum Chicken but they brought me out some coconut milk to make it Tom Kai Gai! I thought that was very nice of them. I then had a bento box which I again asked for a change and instead of tempura shrimp I asked for tempura calamari or extra chicken to not be such a pain and they brought me the tempura calamari. So my bento box had salad, teriyaki chicken and veggies, rice, tempura calamari and some fruit and then they brought me some ice cream for dessert. I did share some of it with my husband because it was so much food but it was all good. A variety of Asian food since my soup was more Thai food but my meal was more Japanese and then my husband had orange chicken which I don't know maybe that's Chinese? We liked all of it and plan to return. They also have some sushi which we may have to try some other time. The service was pretty great in my opinion. We went there on September 26, 2013 so maybe its better under new ownership that someone else mentioned.

Went to this place for lunch, and it was awesome! Great customer service, and a beautifully decorated restaurant. They have great lunch specials, and are very generous with their portions, so it's a good bang-for-your-buck kind of place. You can share with someone, or take the leftovers home for dinner. I ordered the green curry, with crab cakes as a starter. Both were delicious. My friend ordered the pad thai, with the spring rolls as a starter. Everything was super yummy, and very filling. I highly recommend this place!

Born and raised in Bangkok, this place is pretty legit if you order what would actually be on the streets of Bangkok. Their Kow Soy (Chicken Curry Noodles) is beyond amazing, and if you ask for extra red onions, it would be very similar to what you would get on the streets. Also their fried beef appetizer is to die for. Dishes run pretty cheap, and the decor is perfect. The service was very good, and the servers were extremely attentive. I would definitely go again.

I really wanted to like this place but ended up disappointed. They serve mostly Thai dishes but also have a few Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese items on their menu, including a list of sushi rolls. But it seemed to be more Asian fusion rather than anything authentic. We started out with an order of the pork crispy spring rolls. They were small and didn't seem to contain any pork at all. For my entree, I made the mistake of ordering the beef pho. This is not the Vietnamese version. The noodles are different, and it came with fatty beef chunks instead of sliced beef. I didn't like the taste of the broth either. My boyfriend had the Thai BBQ chicken and asked for it to be spicy. It wasn't. His dish was fairly small and came with several slices of grilled chicken with marinated veggies and a dipping sauce. Apparently, you can specify the type of noodles or rice you want, but our server didn't ask. For drinks, I had the Thai tea, which wasn't too bad but a little sweet. We also tried a few of their drink specials, including the electric margarita and the tequila sunrise. They tasted very similar to each other and didn't have much of a kick. For dessert, I ordered the Thai custard with sticky rice. It wasn't what I was expecting. The custard was cut up into rectangular slices on the side, and the sticky rice was covered with coconut sauce. Despite that, it was okay. Service was decent, although it wasn't busy. Most dishes run under $10, but the portions are small. They had a few pricier seafood items on a separate menu, but it's probably best to stick to the Thai food items.

What can I say? Walking distance from the HI Express (very important with no car)! I had the gyoza, they were more like wontons but still very tasty, and I would order them again, but if you are a gyoza snob you're not going to like the texture... I REALLY like spicy food, and ordinarily as a "gringo" have to frequent a place many times to get it that way. These guys delivered! Shrimp kee mow extra spicy was just that - awesome! Noodles and flavor were great and it was spicy enough to cleanse pores. Will definitely be back!

Probably a 3.5, really. I didn't expect much from an Americanized Asian fusion place. Actually, it just gives off an Americanized vibe, but the actual food seems somewhere between Asian and American. Service was pretty slow. The restaurant was at 1/3 capacity at the most, and no one approached our table for about 10 minutes. However, the server was really nice and attentive afterward. The duck noodle soup was surprisingly good! Loved the broth, duck, noodles, and veggies. Their sushi rolls are also fresh. My shrimp hibachi plate was kind of... lukewarm...? It wasn't piping hot like hibachi plates usually are. I didn't care much for the less-than-lukewarm noodles that came with it either. At least it came with ice cream after! This place is pretty expensive for what they offer though... It's probably $1 or $2 higher than other restaurants where you could get the same thing or get bigger portions for the same price. If you're getting a few rolls and appetizers, that adds up.

I was pretty much underwhelmed with this place. The best thing about it is the convenient location. The customer service is fairly poor. The sushi/rolls are mediocre. The Thai cuisine is without flavor. I've been here a few times before and stopped going. Decided to try it again today after years of taking a break from them. Still underwhelmed.

My husband and i went for some soup and he wanted miso, and i wanted the chicken noodle. When we first walked in, we got seated, then sat there for 10 min. before a waiter came to take our drink order. (While sitting, i overheard the lady next to me say she had been waiting so long that her stomach was eating itself). 10 min. later i got my drink from the bar and our tea. Decided to order all our food at once to save time (haha). When we walked in i had on a jacket, hat, scarf, gloves. They did not have the heat on, so i asked our waiter (who was very nice) if they could turn the heater on, he said he would ask his manager that had just walked in....well i guess the answer was no, cause the heat NEVER came on and my jacket, hat, scarf, and gloves never came off (every one in the restaurant had their jackets on) During the hour and half we were there, 6 tables had paid and left...not one out of the 3 waiters bothered to bus any of the tables, all the checks and dishes were left on the tables. If you like techno music while you are eating then good for you...i think it is annoying. Food Review: The dumplings were strange. I did not care for them, but that is my opinion. I did not finish them. Miso soup was too salty. My husband did not finish it Chicken Noodle soup: GREAT! We wanted to get some to go, but didn't want to wait another 50 min. for food. There were plenty of waiters on duty, i didn't see anyone drinking alcohol, so that was not a hold up. Maybe if the waiters were back cooking also i could understand. Overall a bad experience.

I had a good time during their happy hour! They have $1 beers and $1 sushi! Monday-Friday from 4-7 pm and all day Sunday! The food is just okay but for the price you pay, it's not bad!

Ok, I have been meaning to write this review for quite some time. What better time than now because I do not intend to come back to this place. Chow (when it was called Chow Thai) used to be my FAVORITE restaurant. We came here at least once a week. I loved the soups, the curry fried rice, anything else with curry, all the appetizers, some salads...EVERYTHING!! They had the best drink prices in town (and best cocktails). Not only that, but they had the best staff in town. We came regularly mainly for the bartender Antonio and one of the waiters - I think his name was Tommy... Everyone else was nice too. Well one day we noticed the restaurant had a new owner who was rather obnoxious and drunk and offensive every time we came. It didn't bother us too much though because the staff was great but unfortunately when he was around the staff seemed to have their guard up. The co-owner (who I think was his wife) wasn't so bad though. We continued to be regulars here because of the food and the staff and the new change did not phase us too much. UNTIL one day after we came back from vacation the entire staff was gone!! There was a man working who did not even get up out of his seat when we walked in. The female co-owner was still there. We asked her what happened to the staff and she told us that they didn't work out. I don't understand this because they were excellent. A lot better than the staff that was there that day. We ordered a few things to-go and waited quite a long time before an employee came to us and told us that they were out of one of the items we ordered! When they finally completed our order, someone brought it out and placed it on the bar. It just sat there forever! We just wanted to take it away and leave. The restaurant was empty and full of employees!! And if you have been here before you know it's a small place. We came back a couple more times. But the staff was still pretty rude and dismissive of us. I think they jacked up the drink prices as well... MAYBE I will come back to see if the food is still good and if they fixed the service problems. We haven't been back since winter.

Just ate here for the first time. Got pad thai and yellow curry. Food was awesome. 2 guys were hosting, waiting on all the tables and bussing tables. And they were never once rude. It took a little while for drink refills but not long enough to complain. If you wanna try a new place that's relaxing and gonna have good food, try this place.

I work over in Plano, and I love some good Asian takeout every now and then. This place has a great selection, decent prices, and pretty good food. Not too greasy, like so many other takeout joints in the area. Yay, I'm fan.

Not sure why all the low reviews. Food was excellent. Whatever asian food you want, they have. Thai? They got it. Chinese? Yep. Pho? Of course. Not only that but they are good at each which is tough. The mexican martini is really good. Try the papaya salad, tom yum (shrimp), red curry and pad see yew. The service was great as well. We've come for lunch before and their specials are good. This last visit was for dinner. I expected it to be more expensive but it was extremely reasonable. Give it a try.

Just discovered this place. Great green curry, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and big portion! Will definitely come again!

I received a free entree in the mail from Chow's for my birthday congratulating me for the birthday. When myself and 2 others arrived, we were told that they no longer accepted their own birthday mailer. So, right off the bat, I was a bit upset. Their attitude was that they could care less. However, as I was hungry and had guests with me, we ordered anyway. Big mistake to order beer that night as the two bottles were promptly spilled on me by the waiter. My feet were soaked as was the table. Hardly an apology was heard from this waiter so I certainly was not surprised when I was not offered a complimentary drink. Waiter could have cared less again. I also was not impressed with having to look at the (I think) manager on duty's underwear showing since he was wearing his trousers so low (yes I know this has little to do with food but it sort of bothered me still). Overall the food was OK and I have spent over $500's in the past 3 years going here but I think the service and their reaction or lack thereof has made this my last visit. I was told they were under new management but should be no excuse. So, no HAPPY BIRTHDAY for me from Chow's; just good riddance!

I went tonight for a late dinner. Service was terrible. We were the only customers in the restaurant, and the waiter forgot to bring our teas. After eight minutes, we reminded him. Even worse, the sushi was terrible. We order the chow sushi roll and the red dragon roll. The chow sushi roll contains BBQ pork and it tasted thee days old. The red dragon roll came out as the black dragon roll, which had some pieces of brown avocado. Furthermore, I specifically told the waiter I do not eat eel which is in the black dragon roll versus the red dragon roll. So we paid $15 for a roll we didn't want. Bottom line, do NOT order sushi; better yet, AVOID this restaurant. Food is subpar at best.

New ownership = excellent changes Went there and got the happy hour sushi, and appetizers. It was excellent. Papaya salad was very good. Beef noodle soup was very good as well. Thai style pho. Need to hit this place up for more happy hour. $1 drafts!

Decide to come to this place, since this place re-open. Though I would give it a try. Happy hour, why not? Right? Sadly my food came out an hour later... Really didn't want to wait an hour long for my food that could've came out 30mins earlier. Also this place is a rip off compare to a French restaurant. I didn't know I'm paying Kobe beef that taste like well done steak at IHop. Plus when the bill finally came, I was charge the normal price instead of happy hour. The happy hour clearly says I was right on time for happy hour for the things I have order. This place is a fraud. Tell me to go to this place again, I would rather go elsewhere to spend the money.

Went there for lunch with 3 other people... Decently priced for lunch. Excellent red curry!

Happy hour has $1 draft beers, good beers too. That's an awesome deal in my opinion. The food was pretty good the rolls were tasty. There are eight pieces to a roll which is more than I expected. My wife felt the wonton soup was to spicy, but I thought it was fine. Will return for sushi!

Maybe I should have gone with the Kow Soy and fried beef appetizer. Whatever I tried, it wasn't bad, but it didn't conjure up memories of my trip to Thailand, or for that matter, other Asian countries where I've had street food. If I were in the area, I'd probably go back.

I really love their pad kee mow & red curry. And I have eaten thai food at many places though Thai star in Addison still tops my list, I quite like this place too.

I had the pad thai shrimp and khao soi. The pad thai was very tasty and khao soi was amazing. I never had anything like this. The khao sao was like a chicken curry noodle. It just works well together. The staff was very friendly and nice.

I have been here many times before and always left pretty satisfied. Today on the other hand was the complete opposite of anything I have ever experienced. I will NEVER go back and here is why. First, the service. The place was perhaps 70% full, but they were clearly understaffed to even handle the usual Friday lunch crowd. It started out poorly with us waiting about 10 minutes just to get our drink orders placed. We ordered appetizers at the same time and those took a FULL 30 minutes to finally arrive at our table. It was a FULL ONE HOUR and our entrees had not even appeared yet!! At this point, we got up, paid for what we had already eaten(no tip), and walked out. Secondly, and this is a doosy...the manager/owner. I purchased a Living Social coupon a while back and although it had expired, I wanted to redeem what I paid for it, which is allowed under the terms of the purchase. The waiter said they could not honor it and I disagreed. So, he calls the manager/owner over to the table. He FLAT OUT REFUSED to honor any amount!! My response(very calmly) was that we would simply never come back again. He actually got angry and accused me of threatening him! We really should have walked out right then since the food had not even arrived, but I knew I could just go back and get a refund from Living Social....it couldn't get any worse, right? Wrong! See above on the service!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! All-in-all, this was a complete and utter catastrophe from start to finish. The other sad part(for them anyway) is that they own a few other restaurants in the area. I will not darken the door of any one of their stores ever again!!

Stopped by here for a quick bite before a movie on Saturday. I was sad to see Chow Thai had been replaced, but a quick glance of the menu made us want to give it a shot. It reminds me of a cross between Pei Wei and Mango's Thai (previously owned by Chow Thai). The menu is short and fairly predictable, but it's a little nicer and you don't have to order at a counter. I settled on the Red Chili Squid with sticky rice and date got the Kung Pao Chicken with sticky rice. The squid was fried (was hoping it wouldn't be, but didn't ask so my fault) and despite the name 'red chili' being in the name, there was not spice to it. . .at all. I even ordered it spicy. The red chili sauce tasted like a General Tso's sauce with some extra chili flakes added. It wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. It was served over some broccoli and bok choy that I preferred over the overly breaded and flavorless squid. Date's Kung Pao Chicken was infinitely better. It had a light sauce, a mix of baby corn, carrot, mushroom and other veggies, cashew peanuts, and tender pieces of grilled chicken. As someone that usually gets credit for ordering the most delicious meal at the table, I was sad to have my crown usurped. Thankfully she only ate about half the plate so there was plenty for me to cherry pick. Add in an order of edamame and an iced tea and the tab was only $25. For the money it wasn't bad and I'll give it another shot to sample some of the other items on the menu, but this was a disappointing trip.

The service was very quick. Sushi was not their forte', but the pad kee mow noodles with shrimp were great. Moderate prices and nice surroundings. They offer free wi-fi which is a plus. Will go back for Thai dishes but not for the sushi.

This place used to be decent, before the change of owners ~4 years ago. Ownership may have changed several times since then, I'm really not sure. Either way, the decor changes were awful, and the food changes even more so. After having had some "meh" dishes here the past few years (I don't visit it more than 1-2x / year), I decided to come here again against better judgment with a friend. When we entered, the girl at the entrance greeted us with zero interest, and showed us to a table. Guess where she seated us? TWO YARDS TO THE RIGHT OF THE DOOR. When the entire place was pretty much empty. Hey lady, do you think people enjoy sitting right next to the door in full view of everyone, at an awkwardly placed table, and where the draft passes every time the door is opened? We simply got up after ten seconds and walked to another table of our choosing. I ordered the poached garlic chicken with brown rice and a salad as a starter. My girl ordered the green chili. So my salad comes out, and it has absolutely zero appeal. It's served in a mug - that's right, a salad served in a mug. It's covered in some kind of nasty looking ginger/carrot sauce, which has a repulsive texture, and it's clear the "salad" is nothing but cheap iceberg lettuce and carrot shavings from a wholesale bag. Needless to say, it was disgusting. When the main courses come out, I am equally turned off. My plate consists of a heap of sticky rice, three slices of cucumber, some dry looking chicken, and tiny egg roll. The rice tastes ok, but it's lukewarm, and too sticky. The cucumber tastes like water and the chicken.... ewww. As I suspected, it was dry as dirt. Clearly it had been cooked hours before or even the day before and had just been left sitting. It was dry, without flavor (where was that garlic that was advertised on the menu?), and IT STILL HAD THE SKIN ON IT. That's right - I had to remove sticky, slimy skin from my chicken. It also wasn't cleaned very well. To top it off, I asked for the bill at 12:45 because I had to be back at work by 1. We didn't get it until 12:56, after repeated requests. I left a tip out of the kindness of my heart but will NEVER be back. Servic was awful and the "food" was even worse. I STRONGLY recommend against ever visiting this horrible place.

I haven't been to this place in over a year and decided it was time for a return visit. I took along a group of coworkers, most of whom had never been before. The meal started off with the egg drop soup which was part of the lunch special. It was really good with a nice clear broth where the egg did not over power the rest of the ingredients. One of us ordered the crab cake appetizer and I ordered the sampler platter which comes with four different items from chicken satay to pork dumplings. It was all good with the crab cake and pork dumplings being exceptional. Several of us ordered the Pad Kee Mao; some with chicken and others with pork as the protein. I had the chinese bbq pork big noodle soup which is a clear broth with bean sprouts and baby bokchoy with a nice serving of bbq pork slices on top. I have had this soup dish at other places and while this interpretation was good it would have been so much better would there have been more fat (any amount of fat as there was none in this one) in the broth for extra depth of flavor. I also ordered a pad kee mao with shrimp to go so I could eat it for dinner before leaving work and heading out to my cigar lounge. All in all I have been coming here for at least six or seven years when it used to be called Pacific Rim Chow Thai and have really loved the food. The service can be a bit slow but they are really nice so that makes up for it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is a fan of thai or asian food in general.

Ok I'm on my third visit. One dine-in, one take out, one Happy Hour. This restaurant is tasty but they don't know what they want to be when they grow up. There's semi-Japanese, semi-Thai, semi-Korean all over the menu. I guess by trying to cover all bases, they master none. Nothing wrong with the food, but you will have forgotten the meal by the time you get in your car. I don't want to bother piecemealing the meals. Very middle of the road and bland. Warning! The HH menu is represents a good value BUT all is not what it appears to be. Portions are dumbed down to fit the price. Glaring example: spicy tuna roll...all rice, with a dusting of tuna. Mexican roll: they tried to stretch a normally 2 shrimp roll into just one by quartering the shrimp. Fine for bar food I guess, but just be aware. Also, "cocktails" are $4 but only cocktails as determined by the bartender at the time. Ask before ordering, unless you don't mind the $9.50 charge for a Jack/coke. Oddly the Long Island Iced Tea (made with premium liquor, including Jack no less) is $4. Weird.

When I first contemplated my review of this place, I was kinda pissed by one event. Then I thought, this isn't about a pet peeve of mine - it's about the food! After picking up my pooch from doggie daycare - I wasn't in the mood to cook. All I had on my mind was salad, thanks to the Yelp in Review. I just wanted a salad. What I got was more than I bargained for. I had my order to go, but the restaurant has a nice decor and a large bar. The wait was somewhat short, but the food was awesome. I ordered the beef salad and the summer rolls. The beef salad had burn-you-twice seasoning. Yeah, I got to feel that twice, but sooo worth it. Very tasty - but the best part HAS to be the summer rolls. I had the shrimp rolls and, my gosh, they have mango in them!! MANGO PEOPLE. The $5 they charge for an order of three is astonishing. I can't believe how cheap that is for such a wonderful appetizer. Great place and the service is also very efficient!!

Te recently re-opened as CHOW "Asian Street Food" still falls short of many other Thai restaurants in the DFW area. I had dinner there last night, hoping that the new name, new menu and new decor would reflect an improvement in the food. I was disappointed. The Tom Yum Gai (chicken) was probably the highlight of the meal. The "cup" of soup had a lot of white meat chicken and mushrooms and was flavorful, but nothing over-the-top or memorable. The Shu Mai appetizers (steamed dumplings stuffed with pork and shrimp) would have been very good, if they had been hot. Instead, they were served tepid, at best. The Thai Beef Salad (Yum Neah) had a lot of potential, but fell short. There was a LOT of tender grilled beef and fresh greens, but WAY too many spices and an overall bitter taste. There was no sweet element to the dressing to offset the heat of the pepper or tangy of the vinegar. The decor is nice and the service was friendly. The prices are reasonable. But, the food needs attention. Sweet Basil or Samui Thai are better choices.

This place is great - its one of my regular restaurants. They reopened this restaurant earlier this year. It is now more casual and they dropped the prices quite a bit. Most items are under 10 bucks and they run an eternal happy hour. They also have some bento box items for around $14. I have tried many of the items there - pad kee mow, cashew chicken, chicken and shrimp basil, tom yum soup. It is really all delicious. I think their portions area bit smaller than before but you this leaves room for an appetizer. It is never busy so you never have to wait - even on Friday and Saturday nights. Service is always super friendly.

The pad thai was delicious and the spring rolls were good. Sushi was nice as well. The atmosphere was light and airy, may be a little too much so that it lacks coziness.

I feel like I have been here at least once a week for the past couple of months! Their chicken (or shrimp) pad thai is probably my favorite food right now. It is super tasty (and really good left over too). I also highly recommend the beef and broccoli-- yum! I have tried their crunchy calamari roll and loved it too! To sum it all up-- I haven't disliked anything I have tried here so far!

The new name of this place is Chow - Asian Street Food. So I'm thinking that its going to be.....Asian street food. However, the menu is lacking much besides Thai food. We tried the App Sampler - chicken satay, crispy spring rolls, summer rolls, and Sua Mai (dumplings). This was actually pretty good, especially when paired with the sauces. I had hope that the entrees would be as good. I had the crispy garlic chicken with sticky rice. My wife had the grilled steak salad. The crispy garlic chicken was missing garlic flavor, but overall it was pretty good. My only issue was the portion size - it was super small. The grilled steak salad was just okay. The steak was too chewy for me and the dressing that was served with the salad didn't have a good taste. This place is just okay for Thai food. My problem with this place is I was lured into it thinking there was going to be Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Korean street foods. If you've have any of these, you know how awesome it would be to have all of those at one place. But Chow is still a Thai restaurant at heart. For good Thai food in Plano, I'd rather go to Mango Thai @ Park and Preston.

Great food, moderate price. Most dishes run $10 - $12 On Saturday late afternoon we were the only ones in there. Nice wait staff, good atmosphere. They have a bar, sushi, and a great variety of dishes. Normal Americanized dishes can be found like cashew chicken however they really open the menu up with selections for someone looking for something new. We had the following: A sampler of appetizers, which were excellent, chicken statyas and sui mai were favorites, but the spring and summer rolls were also very good. Dragon roll, after several attempts to enjoy sushi and being let down this was a bright light. I really enjoyed this. So much so I'm thinking of going back and ordering this again the day after my visit. Garlic shrimp and scallops, presentation was great. The dish itself had slight flavor however a sauce that came a long allowed you to add as much heat as you were comfortable with. Sukiyaki, I sampled some of my friend's dish the flavor was very good, he was very pleased and thought it was one of the best he'd had. Green Tea ice cream, I admit the dark green ball of ice cream was daunting. I wasn't sure what to expect however it was very good. It reminded me of a very light chocolate flavored ice cream. Something to have again for sure. Overall the meal was very good with tip it came to appox $60 which for an appetizer, sushi roll, two dinners, and a shared desert seemed very reasonable.

After having a less than inspiring Thai dinner tonight, I realized I had never written about Chow. The restaurant is attractive and peaceful. Service is fantastic .Bar prices are really reasonable. Haven't had a bad appetizer. Love, love, love the Chicken and Shrimp Thai Basil. It's my favorite Thai dish in Dallas, bar none. The Citrus Beef, Pad Thai and Pad Kew Mow are delicious as well. With the non-noodle dishes you get several choice of rice. I have been going for years and haven't been disappointed yet. The icing on the cake, never seen a line. It's right off the DNTollway in Plano, so it's easy to find. You won't be disappointed.

I was very intrigued by this huge sign right off the TollWay that said CHOW asian street food. So i zoomed right in ready to be blown away. Sadly I was not. It sucked. First off the water tasted terrible, I ordered a hot sake and it was cold. I'm pretty easy going and have been in the industry for a long time so I was dismissive about these things drank my cold box sake and shut up. i ordered soybeans for an appetizer they were fair. Then i had the Thai BBQ chicken with sticky rice and a glass off plum wine to pair. The chicken was not BBQ or thai just a sliced chicken over a bunch of random veggies with a weird ponzu ish ginger sauce. Sticky was was interesting looked like it was encased in suran wrap. My sister had the veggie egg rolls which were pretty much just fried bean threads. I not sure what I was expecting when I went in there, maybe a dirty korean guy slicing beef with a machete into a leaf with rice and a cold pilsner beer. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish which i seem to have a nack for, anyways. I might go back if there is an Apocalypse and the world turns into anarchy and CHOW is the only place that survives. Sadly I dont think that will happen in Plano Texas..

Very friendly staff. Very clean. Great decor. A+ for food presentation. The soups and other dishes were absolutely delicious. This was our first visit and we were extremely happy with the quality and the overall experience. We would gladly go back again to try some more items from their menu and plan to do so the next time we are in Plano.

I love this place. Great Thai food by the same people that own Chow Thai, but also outstanding asian fusion. I think it was the first 4 star in Dallas. Ahead of its time.

Good food and atmosphere. I think we would've liked it more but I was tired and my husband had just gotten over being sick. This place apparently had a different name before or something. It's also called Chow Asian Street Food. It's also a little hard to find. It's facing Dallas Parkway. When you go into the plaza area, you have to drive toward the Dallas Pkwy and it's on the corner of the small building.

I think this restaurant is overrated, Food is decent and service good but I know of several better and less expensive Thai restaurants in teh vicinity.

This is probably my wife's favorite place for marginally upscale casual dining. Nice decor, excellent waitstaff, great bartender, a good menu, and good presentation. It's possible to get a meal under $10 but for the most part your entree is going to run $10-$16. It's called Thai Fusion, which I guess means they have a sushi bar in addition to a stock Thai menu.

Service was terrible mgmt sucks and was swearing at customers. Save money and go anywhere else
(1)Clare M.
Understaffed. We waited 10 mins and no one took our drink order. We were on lunch so we had to walk out. They only had one waitress for lunch time.
(1)Todd L.
We always stop in for football and all day happy hour which is the best in Plano $1 beers, $2 wells hard to beat! Plus their sushi is fresh and service is fast!
(5)Shay S.
Love this place!! I've been eating here for about 2 years. I usually get the Pad Thai or the Yellow Curry Fried Rice. Both are exceptional. The quantity is plenty to fill my belly and have plenty to take home. I would recommend this place!
(5)Mike K.
Their Thai dishes are pretty good. Service is pretty slow. Lunch is a better option than dinner.
(3)Lindy P.
My first review ever. I ordered orange chicken last night, and there was very little or no chicken in it. Lots of fried bits of nothing. In a watery sauce. Great location -- mgmt needs to make some changes!!
(1)Jerry T.

(4)Lisa O.
(1)Grace G.
Great service ! Loved the attentiveness of the staff. Ordered the chicken and shrimp dumplings which was delicious! The BBQ chicken ramen noodle bowl hit the stop. The broth was very flavorful along with the textured ramen. It was an overall great experience!
(5)Don B.
(3)David A.
Big menu. Had fried roll with crab and avocado, tom yum, tom kah, rainbow roll, pad keep mow - all great. Attentive, knowledgeable service. Nice and very clean. 1981 radio fare. Good place for a date before heading out.
(4)Kelley D.
(2)Vy L.
(3)Natalie C.
Been here 3 or 4 times and the service is always a little slow. The food is good but I think there are better places out there. We probably won't be going back for awhile.
(3)Shradha G.
It was..
(2)Kathleen L.

Great place! Great owners and great food offerings. If you like sitting at the bar and eating good Asian food this is the place. Outdoor seating too. Highly recommend it. Enjoy!

This review is for happy hour. For the price its a good deal and the food is good for the price. The food is nothing great, would get 3 stars if it wasnt during happy hour.

(5)Mor Z.
Slow service, took about an hour before the 3 of us got our rather simple meals. Lacking any seasoning on the food, and on the table. Save your money and your heartache.
(1)Karen L.
(3)Romina K.
Great place to go! The family own business is very clean and welcoming. I love their menu, the food is fantastic and healthy. You must eat here!
(5)Mykie D.

Do yourself a big favor and go to 369 BBQ..this place is waaaay overpriced and the food is subpar at best...

(1)Martin H.

(4)R M.

(5)Charlie D.

This place was great! Probably the best Khao Soi I have ever had. It was perfectly spicy with lots of flavor. The prices were decent and their atmosphere was great.

(5)Danny A.
I love this place. Great Thai food by the same people that own Chow Thai, but also outstanding asian fusion. I think it was the first 4 star in Dallas. Ahead of its time.
(5)N N.
(3)Jaya V.
I think this restaurant is overrated, Food is decent and service good but I know of several better and less expensive Thai restaurants in teh vicinity.
(3)Mark N.
