I loved the eccentric vibe of this bar, kind of biker-bar-meets-Austin-chic, if you feel me? Anyway, we were looking for options for post-dinner drinks on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised with this locale. It wasn't too loud, so we could still hear ourselves talk, the bar service was good and drinks were made correctly. Love the Deep Eddy flavored vodkas! I agree that the parking situation is not so ideal. Other than that, a great night! Will definitely add it into the nightlife rotation.

It finally opened. Parking is shared with used car lot, model home park, & theater. (Very Limited) Small area under shade. The area outside is gravel, difficult to walk between all the yard game set ups. One hot dog trailer, so limited menu. Rumor is no cuts, no colors. Saw 1 customer with new vest, not a patch on it.

Meh. We'll go up the road to Uncle Gary's Bar, instead. Wagner's jerked us around with regard to providing tap water and soda refills, while we hung out and played in 90 degree Texas heat. My son and I came here today (Sunday) to hang out with family, order some drinks and play volleyball. With everyone, including our kids, we made up a party of nearly twenty. We all arrived around two o'clock and were able to quickly join other patrons in a friendly game of volleyball. Most of the adults in our party ordered beer and for the kids, we ordered fountain drinks. About an hour into our stay, my 10 year-old approached me, sweating and carrying his empty 10 oz. Dixie cup, stating that a female at the bar told him that they don't do refills. I asked him if it was for water or a soda refill and he stated that he'd simply asked for tap water. I didn't see any water fountains inside, so his only free option for water was the outside hose, used to cool down the sand volleyball court, or the bathroom sink. I took his empty cup and went inside, finding and introducing myself to the manager. For clarification, I asked him if they provided refills on either tap water or fountain drinks and he said that they generally did not. He went on to say that they've had issues in the past, with underage kids coming in, ordering free tap water, hogging the volleyball courts and tables for hours, and taking up his waitstaff's valuable time. I pointed out that my 10 year-old didn't drive himself here, so he was obviously here with a paying adult. Then, he said that refills would be fine as long as the kids in our party were accompanied by an adult each time they wanted a refill. To confirm, I asked, so you mean to tell me that each time my child needs water or soda, I need to stop whatever conversation or game I'm in the middle of, and walk him inside and up to a server? Then, he conceded and said that he'd allow the refills without an adult present, for our particular party. I asked how the bartenders were supposed to know our party's kids from every other patron's... I don't recall getting a straight answer to that particular question... He kept defending their policy, going on a tangent about how they're a bar, first-and-foremost, and that they're here to make money. I had a hard time keeping a straight face, as I mentioned that I'd never been to a bar, where I was either refused tap water, or had to pay for refills on fountain drinks. I suggested that if they were *that* worried about the bar's bottom line, that perhaps they could rent out the volleyball court or have a minimum tab per table, before providing tap water for free, to which he said the rental thing would never work, but he'd bring up the other suggestion in the weekly employee meeting. To me, charging a per-game or hourly fee for volleyball, like other establishments do for pool, bowling, darts, etc, makes a lot more sense than denying tap water to thirsty patrons and their children. By the time we finished our conversation, the rest of my party had already decided to pack up and continue playing volleyball at another bar (Uncle Gary's), up the road. I thanked the manager for his time, and closed out my tab, tipping my bartender (male; don't remember his name), who'd been nothing short of polite, friendly and attentive. When we arrived at Gary's, the place was clean, the volleyball court was available and the bartender laughed, when we asked if they charged for tap water or soda refills. It's such a shame that Wagner's has such a ludicrous policy with regard to providing tap water. It would otherwise be a really be a fun place, with their volleyball court, washers, giant Jenga and foosball table...

I saw that this place opened up recently so I decided to try it out after work today. First impressions when parking is that it's difficult to figure out where exactly to park and how to actually get into this place. Maybe some more signage would help? After parking I was greeted at the door with a firm handshake by a gentleman I assume was associated with the bar in someway. There isn't too much seating inside, but there is some at the bar and a few tables. The real attraction is the gigantic patio, however. There is plenty of shade, tables galore, washers, cornhole, mini golf, music stage, and a sand volleyball court. I can see this place being a hit for live music in the far North Austin region. My wife, a co-worker, and I enjoyed some beverages and relaxed after work for a while. We got a little hungry so we grabbed a bite to eat from the Mighty Dog trailer that is permanently on-site. A couple of observations that I made: -They have Geeks Who Drink Trivia on Wednesdays (it was kicking off at around 7:30ish when we left) -Taco Tuesdays, all you can eat free tacos on Tuesdays (I can't wait to try this out) -Hookah? Apparently they have a 3rd party vendor who operates a hookah lounge on-site for partaking on the patio. We left before the dude got there, but I did see around 20 hookahs in a little room on my way to the restroom, which prompted me to ask about it. That's about it. Prices were decent, relaxed atmosphere, what appears to be reasonably priced drinks, with onsite food, all within a stones throw from my house? Yep, I'll be back.

Went to Wagner's to grab a nice drink after a HECTIC day this week. Friendly staff, jovial people and my Tokyo Tea was awesome! I will come back and bring a friend or two.
