My boyfriend insisted that I needed to try Texas style BBQ whilst visiting Texas. I was skeptical because it looks like a farm and was in a what I think a sketchy area. Anyways, I loved this place! We went twice while I was visiting. I am not a red meat lover/eater, but I sometimes sample my boyfriend's red meat and their chopped brisket is delicious! Texas BBQ is hands down way better than anything in California! Service is amazing here, they remember my boyfriend and talked casually even though hes been here only a few times. Next time I'm in Houston, this will be my first stop!

I was looking for some good BBQ in my area, because all the places I've visited have either been ridiculously expensive or taste was disappointing. Andy's was neither! Andy's BBQ is a win-win! An excellent value and amazing BBQ AND BBQ sauce. It's hard to find a BBQ place that has both good BBQ and good sauce, but this place rocks both. My husband and I were very satisfied. We did not dine in this time, but we will next time.

Really really overrated. It's just okay. They have friendly staff. I've never been for lunch but there is never a line at dinner time. They have banana pudding or bread pudding, I forget which one but it's pretty good.

Food was very good but made me and a co worker very sick. Called and employee wasn't to worried about it. She just said she was passing the message over to her boss.

Awesome food!! One must try the Pork K-Bobs, top notch! Location is in a residential area. Absolute must stop and revisit type of BBQ place. Seating is fair and service is good.

Andy's ribs, BBQ and sliced beef were as if there was absolutely no wood used whatsoever. It was as if it was only heat used to cook the meats. Normally, even with the weakest of smoked meat, there is normally a little aroma and/or taste of wood. With this BBQ, there was none. This was my second time coming and I only gave it a second chance because so many people have said how much they love it. That is not the feeling I get when I eat this Q. It is, to me, completely devoid of taste. Not a fan of "Andy's Hawg Wild Bar-B-Que". I will not be back. Just my humble opinion.

Great food!!! Great service!!! And awesome desserts!!!! You will not regret going to Andy's the ribs just fall off the bone the brisket is moist and the baked potatoe salad is a must have side....

I was sadly disappointed by every restaurant I experienced on my recent trip to the area...then I found this place. Its tucked away a bit but worth the search. Fantastic flavor and everything was perfectly cooked. Try the cobbler. It doesnt matter what the flavor of the day is...it'll be your new favorite. THIS is the Texas bbq I was looking for!

The food was very good! Not much else to elaborate on. I was definitely happy/satisfied My only complaint (lowering the rating by 1 star) is that absolutely everything was served in Styrafoam containers. Not only is it a little tacky, but Styrafoam is not biodegradable and is really hard on the environment (both to produce and dispose of). Since everything is served in to-go containers, I would have liked to see some paper or cardboard containers instead.

Easily 4 stars.....worth the trip...had 2 meat lunch. Pork and brisket, sauce is great, baked potato salad is the best...don't get the bread.....don't need the extra carbs. Just go!

BBQ was good. The armadillo eggs were amazing. If I get back to the area, will be sure to grab some more of this goodness.

One of my favorite que places now. The pork sandwiches, Memphis style, are great and huge. Because it's quiet, I have started using it regularily for working lunches. We can get our communication done in a casual atmosphere. Don't be put off by the location (in the middle of a neighborhood) or the exterior (nothing fancy). The food is great. The people very friendly.

Love this place! The best BBQ around!

A pleasant surprise! Located on a residential street near Spencer Hwy in Pasadena. I saw a billboard advertisement, or I'd never found this place. I'm glad I did! Some of the best BBQ I've had, I think even better than Pappa's or Spring Creek. I had the 2-meat combo dinner with sliced brisket and sausage and loved both. The brisket was so tender I cut it with my plastic fork! The BBQ sauce is one of the best I've had. They should sell it retail! The downsides are that if your dining in, your basically sitting on a covered porch and eat out of a 9X9 styrofoam take-out container with plastic utensils. I suggest take out, but definitely worth the effort!

I lived in TX my entire life and have eaten great BBQ, but never this close to home. Located in a less than desirable part of Pasadena this hidden gem is one to be shared with others. The brisket is fork tender & delicious. The warm potato salad is like heaven in your mouth and the banana pudding is awesome. Now anytime we are anywhere near Pasadena we make an excuse to go visit Andy's. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Absolutely hands down the best BBQ around. I had brisket and ham plate and it was delicious. I will definitely be back!!! The BBQ sauce was just the right amount of tart!

At work my company catered from Andys's bbq and it was the best bbq i had. They ordered brisket with chicken tight. Brisket was fl aver full and tasted like home made. The chicken was fantastic, the meat just came off the bone. The bbq sauce was just right, tangy, sweet, and spice full. I'm going back for sure.
(5)
Iping L.
great BBQ! a little pricey, but good amount of food provided. tastes wonderful! got the chicken and ribs. both fall off the bone! they give you a good amount of sauce when you take out. the place is located in a residential neighborhood, so it's very quiet and quaint. outside sitting available. staff is very friendly. I would def come back!

Great friendly service, parking kinda sucks a bit but its manageable

Good bbq, but takes over an hour to get the order accurate. Went there twice and same problem each time, their bbq is not worth an over hour wait with constant badgering to get the order that you bought.

Best BBQ in town. It seems a little weird at first dunce it's in a residential area but don't let that fool you. The good is delicious. I had a large order with friends from out of town and they were very impressed how good the BBQ was. You can order online now which makes it pretty convenient.

Gosh I love their turnip greens!!! All their food --that I've tried --is excellent, but especially scrumptious are the sinfully rich Armadilla Eggs (cream cheese-stuffed jalapeños wrapped in sausage wrapped in bacon, their sliced beef sandwiches, their pork-stuffed baked potatoes, mashed potatoes and green beans. Thursday and Saturday nights, a great live band plays original and cover music. So happy here!

The Pulled Pork Tennessee Style with coleslaw is MESSY and tastes wonderful! Potato salad is really good too. New favorite bbq around. :-)

Do yourself a favor, and eat here! The pork kabobs and lemonade are delicious! Really I have not had anything I did not like.

This little barbecue joint has charm to spare. Tucked into a residential neighborhood, Andy's is the kind of place you'd probably never find on your own. But once you do, you'll definitely find something to like. The menu is extensive, and the decor eclectic. I tried the sausage, moist brisket and pork ribs. Of these, the ribs were definitely the star--some of the best I've ever had! The sides were also excellent, especially the green tomato relish. When I go back--not if--I'm going to check out the armadillo eggs because they look very interesting. UPDATE: I returned for the armadillo egg. Transcendent! A very satisfying experience--check it out!

Yup, had to do it again and it was consistently the same delicious barbecue I had the week before! I purchased the 1/2 gallon of sauce to take home to HI. Forgot to mention I had the okra and the warm potato salad and both were Outstanding!!!

Very good restaurant in an odd location. Really good barbeque. I had the pulled pork sandwich, but the star of the show was the armadillo egg roll.
(4)
Tommie W.
Ate here today after reading the reviews on Yelp. Went with two other friends for lunch. I had the sliced beef sandwich combo, with okra, and also ordered an armadillo egg. The line to order was long, but once I ordered... the food came out fast! Brisket sandwich was good, when I used the BBQ sauce that came with it. The okra was cooked just right, and the armadillo egg was good too. I would not hesitate to go back when I am on this side of town.

It's just...ok. A bbq joint really has to have outstanding ribs for me to really enjoy it.

Andy C.
This place is as mediocre as it gets. The meats aren't very smokey, the pulled pork was dry, the portions were too small for their overly high prices. The service was good that's why I'm giving it 2 stars.
(2)
Jessica C.
Amazing barbeque! I've been coming here for a few years and it never disappoints. My favorite dish to get is the loaded baked potato with brisket. Their side dishes are awesome too, definitely try the baked potato salad. And of course, don't forget the banana pudding for dessert! I can't say enough good things about this place, and I'm so glad I only live a neighborhood away from it!

Best barbecue I have had in years. Very nice staff, reasonable prices, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend to people visiting the area and looking for authentic Texas BBQ.

I love this place. We always order on line and they deliver the food. There baked potatoes are really good. I get mine fully loaded and it's good every time. My son got the chicken fried steak and it was so big he couldn't eat it all and that's saying something for a teenage boy who can put away some food. There prices are good also. We order from them 2 to 3 times a month.

I am picky about my bbq. This place is incredibly perfect. AMAZING customer service and incredible food. I had the 2 meat plate (brisket and pork ribs). The brisket was so tender and the ribs were out of this world with a perfect smoke ring. the coleslaw was yummy and the potato salad was a perfect match. Interesting location, but you feel right at home. This is a hidden treasure.

I just moved to Houston from San Francisco, CA and being the foodie I am, the first thing on my to do list was to find a great BBQ spot. I was surprised to find this bbq joint hidden in a residential area. The staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with! I told her I was new in the area and she gave a free blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top. Now that's what I call southern hospitality! The beef brisket I ordered was so moist with their home made bbq sauce that was to die for. The inside replicates a barn and makes me feel at home, especially with the old, easy going country music playing in the background. As former CA governor Arnold would say, "I'll be back!"

We tried Andy's for the first time today. Must say it is the best around the Pasadena/Deer Park area for sure! Brisket was so tender and the ribs just fell right off the bone. Desserts were delicious!

I stopped in for an early dinner on a Wednesday. I ordered a two meat plate with chicken and pulled pork. I did not like my food as nothing was seasoned. I know this place is highly rated in Pasadena, but I just don't get it. I think it's a neighborhood thing as I don't get the hype.

Stopped for lunch to try out due to very good reviews. I had the half chicken with corn on the cob and potatoe salad(baked). The chicken was ok at best. The bbq sauce tasted like a supermarket brand. The corn on the cob was slightly undercooked. And the potato salad was not to my liking. The girl who rang me up oversold it. She said it was like a bake potato smashed up. It tasted like normal potato salad heated up. Overall I would not recommend a friend to eat or try this place. I have had better bbq not too far away from this side of town. I asked my other coworkers what they thought of their food. Both said their food was just ok.

Oh man, where do I begin? Andy's was phenomenal! This is some of the best BBQ I've ever had. I know, I know-- what would a Southern California gal know about BBQ-- hey, I lived in Texas for a few years, that's gotta count for something, right? ;-) I was kinda confused when our GPS told us that our destination was in 500 feet on the left because we were in the middle of a residential area, but sure enough, it was there among the houses. Loved the ambiance. Cute, rustic BBQ decor, awesome giant tree trunk slice table. Onto the food! The sweet potato fries were delicious (I recommend sharing them with a friend so you don't get too full-- I ate them all by myself and wasn't able to finish my meal). The 1 meat BBQ plate is an amazing deal- you can't beat it! $10 for a generous portion of phenomenal brisket, and 2 sides. I loved the fried okra. I can't stop thinking about the coleslaw. I'm pretty particular about my coleslaw and asked the waitress a few questions about it. She was very sweet and brought me a sample. I was sold! It was finely chopped and the flavor was great-- some of the best cole slaw I've ever had. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Houston, and in the mean time, I'll be sending everyone I know heading to Houston over the Andy's.

While in Pasadena I had the pleasure of working near Andy's; being a big BBQ fan I knew I just from the reviews, that I owed this place a visit. From the moment I stepped in, I could feel the "down home" vibe of the place: rustic style wood flooring, barrels for trash cans, all the clever signs and personal mementos, just a really fun and basic decor. On top of that, the seating was plentiful, and the layout looked well thought out. For my meal I ordered my go to test for any establishment claiming to specialize in BBQ: sliced brisket, ribs, greens, and beans. From these four items, I can usually get a great feel for how much care and effort a BBQ place puts into their food. From the first bite, I was thrust into BBQ heaven. The brisket fell apart with barely a nudge from my fork, it was moist, smokey, and above all tasted like it barely left the smoker before it landed on my plate. The ribs were equally as tasty and well cooked. The cartilage was still chewy and not like rubber, which told me they had not heated my plate up in a microwave, and the chard portion was only the outer layer was crunchy and thin. The sauce was tangy and laced with smokey flavor, it was almost not needed with how good the meat turned out, but it was an awesome compliment to it. As for the sides, the turnip greens were not overpowering with vinegar, and were seasoned lightly. The pinto beans were creamy and delicious, they were loaded with chunks of sausage, and had just the right amount of salt and pepper. What else can I say? You really need to go here for yourself and try it out. Not only is Andy's a family owned restaurant, but it's also a GREAT tasting meal. If i'm ever in Pasadena again, I will most definitely stop by.

I took my dad here when he visited Texas and he was in heaven. The ribs are enormous so be conservative with your order then get more if needed. Otherwise, bring a cooler with ice. I wasn't crazy about the other meats I ordered.

I ordered from this restaurant for a lunch I was doing. The prices seemed reasonable and the food was actually good, but the service is horrible. As a previous review said I I had to give my card over the phone several times. For some reason the wrong card number was taken 3 times. The driver was early, which was not a big problem. The problem started when he had someone else sign for the food and did not leave a receipt. I called the same day to ask for a receipt to be emailed it wasn't. I waited another two days and it wasn't emailed. I called again and guess what they are closed. Service has to be better. It can't be that hard to leave a receipt or email one. Not cool! I doubt I'll order from them.

Worst BBQ I've had in this city. Wasn't gross, just flavorless and limp. We went on a Saturday morning, minutes after they opened. Brisket, bland; ribs, bland; potato salad, odd; beans....canned? The peach cobbler was dense and flavorless..everyone knows the best part of the pie is the crust, and this was just hunks of dough that didn't taste of sugar, cinnamon, butter or salt. Terrible food. Great pickles though.

Food is top notch. The staff is friendly and provides great service. We have tried a variety of items off the menu, including the cobbler, and we have never been disappointed.

Service was good, deserving of a 3, but unimpressed by food, the ribs were boiled and greasy, just not much to them to pay 13 dollars and get three ribs, was hoping for a lot more than boiled meat

As far as I'm concerned - best brisket in town. Like the atmosphere and the home owned feel. The red skin potato salad is awesome and the BBQ Sauce is divine! Can't wait to go back!

I've been driving past this place everyday for almost 2 years now and NEVER thought to stop. The silly billboard right off of beltway 8 never caught my eye enough to investigate, I guess. Man, have I been missing out on a gem! We were so hungry and excited to eat here we ordered a 2 meat plate and a stuffed baked potato in a rush. Afterwards, as I poured over the menu more carefully (enjoying the dulcet tones of George Straight circa 1987 haha) I saw the deep fried pork shanks ("porka-bobs") and chicken and dumplings on the menu! DANG IT. No problem, everything we ordered was excellent and we can't wait to go back. The ribs were so tender, sausage was good. Yummy red skin potato salad and the BEST fried okra I can ever remember eating. Bf's potato was really good, too. I'm thrilled this is so close by!

Everything that I've had from here is delicious and is the best in the area from what I've tried. The baked potato salad is delicious as a side FYI. I'd never had it before, but I've since tried it elsewhere and Andy's has the best! I also like how it comes out in a to go container. I'm always so full that there are always leftover to take home. The employees are friendly and the food comes out quickly. They're closed Sundays though! I've forgotten before only to remember upon pulling up in to an empty parking lot :(

I'm not from the south. I was in heaven at Jack's BBQ in Nashville, but this, this blew me out of the water. Pasadena terrified me. I wasn't thrilled when I started driving through neighborhoods and trailer parks to get to Andy's. I got there and everyone inside knew eachother, and some folks were there just for desert! To me, this was a very good sign! I would have loved to be able to sit down and really enjoy my meal, but as I was in business dress, I was getting a lot of looks and hastily ensured I could get my meal to-go. I get a little out of hand with bbq and got chopped brisket, baked potato salad, beans and another side of green beans. I was deeply saddened when there was no way i could finish the meal! If I ever land in the area again I will be sure to visit!

Delicious! BBQ brisket was smoked, tender and moist, BBQ sauce was tangy good and the red potato salad was great. They also have a culture of friendly service. Even though they're off the beaten path, We highly recommend them!

excellent barbeque - and I don't even really like barbeque! I've ordered takeout twice now. I leave to pickup right after I order and it is ready and hot by the time I take it back to my desk. Sweet tea is AMAZING. and I am a sweet tea connoisseur. I recommend the chopped pork .... cole slaw, okra, greens, green beans .... are all AMAZE. I don't care for the potato salad that everyone raves about but perhaps that's just me.

The best ribs and pulled pork we've had! And the fried okra was great too. This is a really wonderful Texas BBQ! They have it all - fast, friendly service, nice atmosphere, and AWESOME food!

I am a repeat customer and come back every chance I get. I ordered a two meat plate with brisket, ribs, potato salad and beans. Brisket: Flavor - 4.5 / 5. Great smoke flavor and just the right amount of seasoning. No sauce required. Tenderness / Texture - 4.5 / 5. Very tender and moist without being mush. Cuts easily with a fork, just the way it should be. Ribs: The meat pulls easily off of the bone with a great flavor and the right amount of seasoning. No sauce required. 4.5 / 5 Sauce: A tomato / vinegar sauce with a sweet hint, one of my favorite styles. 4 / 5 Red Skin Potato Salad: Generic out of the tub potato salad that is a little heavy on the mayonnaise for my liking. This is their only real weak point. 2.5 / 5 Beans: Good pinto beans with a good flavor and texture. 3.5 / 5 Value: The price for my two meat plate was $10.95. Given the quantity (I couldn't finish it, and I consider myself a hearty eater) and quality, I considered a great deal. 4 / 5 Overall score: A very solid 4, almost 4.5. I am a fan and will return often.

Found a big plate of food happiness here. I ordered the Pulled Pork Tennesse style (Slaw on the bbq in the bun). I dont order this very often because I am not a big fan of the soggy bun. After watching how fast food was coming from the kitchen, I took a chance. Glad I did! They send the parts out seperate. Yes there is some assemble required but I will take that any day over a soaked bun. The meat was perfect, the sauce had a great smokey flavor and the slaw was spot on. What is did not expect was that I would be asking for potatoe salad. I over heard a conversation about the baked potatoe salad. When I asked the waitrest about it, she brought me a sample. To be clear I avoid all forms of potatoe salad because until today, i have never had one that was worth a second bite. That said i will be ordering this potatoe salad everytime I come here from now on. It is served warm with bacon. They also will put the bbq on a bed of the stuff if you want..... That will be the next visit . Will be back again

Not anymore! Have eaten here several times over last 2-3 years; interesting variety. Husband enjoys food even though not authentic BBQ; (strange herbs or rub); I do not eat BBQ so get just potato; salad, or something else. Usually polite, but heard from a friend who is a long-time server that she tried to work there and that the Owner was a nightmare. Yells at the employees like they are dirt and is basically a "slave-driver". So out of respect for the mistreated employees stay away! There are plenty of good BBQ places in area!

I normally don't like stuffed jalepenas but given the cool factor of the Armadilla Egg, I thought I'd be adventurous. Man was it delicious. I normally don't eat ranch sauce either but they brought me a package with it and after I tried one bite without it, I figured why not go all out and try it. Man did the ranch sauce ever excentuate the flavors and make it an explosion of taste in my mouth. It was the only thing I tried but next time I come back, I'm getting two as a meal. (I just came for a snack)

Today was my first time and Andy's and I will return. My husband had been here a few times with coworkers and had commented "how great the pulled pork sandwich is". Him not being a pulled-pork guy, I definitely had to try this place out. I was very impressed with the food. I opted for the Tennessee sandwich as I love coleslaw and he had the regular. We are both sauce people and to us a sauce will make or break a BBQ place and the sauce here didn't fall short. The meat was moist, bread fresh and sauce delicious. I had the red potato salad as a side and my husband had the regular potato salad. His was much better than mine as it was like a baked potato with butter, sour cream and bacon. I wish I would of ordered it but he did share. I feel like if I comment on service it would be unfair. The computers were down today and they manually had to write orders and only accepted cash. I gathered it's a family ran business because the lady at the front was literally yelling at her father who was very frustrated about the situation with the computers. I personally would never think of speaking to my father in that manner but I also, was not behind the counter and only know what I saw. This is a fantastic place to get a great pulled pork sandwich and we will definitely be back.

Food, 5 stars. Service, 5 stars. Value, 5 stars. Over all excellent! I don't give many 5 stars, but this definitely deserved it! The ribs literally fell off the bone, the brisket was just as amazing. I definitely recommend the banana pudding for dessert! Next time I'm in Houston, I'll definitely go back!

This place has good food. I thought my GPS was crazy but turns out it's a nice restaurant located inside a neighborhood. Which fits nice cuz everything seems homemade. Baked potatoes salad, coleslaw, Brisket & Sausage, BBQ & A free Banana pudding Is what me & my wife had. People there were really nice. Found them cause of Yelp. I'm Glad I did. Check then out for yourself.

This is a hidden gem tucked away in a little neighborhood. Pros - Legitimately good bbq. Awesome Armadillo Eggs. Only a couple miles from Houston Area Safety Council. SUPER FRIENDLY PEOPLE. If you're looking to take a break from computer modules at the safety council, head over to this place for some awesome good bbq.

Best dam BBQ I've ever eaten. Me and my family have been on the road the last few days making our way back home to San Antonio. Yelp led me to Andy's Hawg Wild BBQ. I got the 3 meat plate with a double of ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were tender, juicy, and falling off the bone. The pulled pork had a very robust flavor and was also cooked to perfection. My grandmother had the red skin potato salad and didnt quite like it. Her and my grandfather said it was straight mayonnaise. I however was fortunate enough to select the baked potato salad. I can't even begin to describe the intense feeling of joy my taste buds felt wen this heavenly creation entered my face hole. And oh my god the armadillo eggs. Cream cheese jalapeños wrapped in sausage then deep fried and wrapped in bacon. They served it with a side of ranch that I soon realized would only taint the spectacular wonderment that is the "armadillo egg". And folks. It ain't BBQ without coleslaw. Not to wet. Not to dry. Not to sour. And the perfect amount of crunch. The service was outstanding. Nothing but smiles and a willingness to help. Clean restrooms. Always a good thing. And the owner. A wonderful women tending to her fathers creation. Greeted everyone by name if she knew and a wam smile. Be sure to tell her if it's your first time and she probably send you off with a hug and some banana puddin! I will make every opportunity I can to return for another plate and a visit. Andy's is the definition of BBQ and I'm extremely grateful for this experience.

We ran in there on a Friday night right before closing and they still welcomed us in. We had the Bbq sandwiches with fries for a quick meal and it was delicious. Also had the armadillo eggs and they are a must have. Delicious, great service and minutes from home!

This BBQ is pretty delish. I also like that Andy actuaaaally works the counter. What's good about Andys is 1) Fried Okra, 2) Pulled pork sandwich, 3) Baked potato, and 4) sweet teaaa mmmm... What's not so great...staff isn't always the warmest, but the food is quick so no biggie.

This place is a bit hidden, as it is in a residential neighborhood. We ordered two, two meat combos and tried what seemed like most the sides and two of the pies. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and thought it was a good value for the price. Definitely will return.

My husband and I just moved to the area and were in the mood for some good BBQ, Andy's was recommended to us by two different people so we just had to see what it was about. We were not disappointed. Friendly and welcoming people and the food was AMAZING. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the pulled pork plate with mashed potatoes and fried okra. We also had a cup of their banana pudding--everything was great and even though there was a lot of food between the two of us we cleaned both plates. Also, everything was priced good. We will definitely be back and share this hidden gem with friends and family when they visit!

I've been here in Texas for almost 2 years and have not been impressed with much of the bbq here. Usually the brisket is dry, lacks flavor, has crappy sauce, terrible sides, etc. Andy's is a completely different experience. First off, this place is clean as in sanitary. The parking lot and building are kept up inside and out. The staff is quick and efficient and completely friendly. I tried the brisket, pulled pork and chicken. All were damned good. The sauce was not your typical disgusting Texas style sauce, it is Tennessee style sauce which is apparently vinegary and sweet at the same time. Who knew? The sides were quite impressive for a q joint. The two potato salads were great, the okra was wonderful, sweet potato fries good, green beans OK. This place is also affordable which makes it even better. I went there tonight! You should too because Pasadena and Deer Park has the worst food. Try Andy's and you will be satisfied!

Hidden gem in a little neighborhood. You would never know it was here if your weren't looking for it!

Andy's is my go-to for BBQ. I love their brisket, their turkey legs and just about everything else! I don't really eat bbq sauce, but I will almost drink theirs! It's that good. It's also really cheap compared to other places in Houston. It's hidden away in a neighborhood, but well worth the trip if you don't frequent Pasadena.

The food was awesome. This is some of the best BBQ I've eaten. The brisket was so tender it fell apart while eating it. Every side I tried was homemade and delicious. The people were friendly. I will visit here every time I come to Houston. I will tell all my friends to eat here as well.

I've now been to Andy's 3 times. Every time something has been wrong with my order. This third time was the final straw. I will not be back. I am gluten intolerant and must watch what I eat. On the third visit I explained this as usual while i added, "Please no croutons on my salad." I get a salad with copious croutons and my stuffed baked potato had no chopped beef or BBQ sauce and it had sour cream which I had asked to be left off. The BBQ is good but I cannot forget the incompetent staff.

I hate BBQ. I feel that if the meat you are serving is quality, then there is no need to drown it in a sauce like most BBQ places do. So when my company had chosen Andy's for our lunch, I was very happy to learn that the sauce would be on the side. The sauce had less of a ketchup-look and consistency which made me somewhat interested, so I put a small spoonful of the their thin, dark sauce on the side of the pulled pork. Then I mixed it in. Then I went back for more pork and more sauce!!! It was some of the best BBQ sauce I've had and complemented the flavor of the meat rather than drowning it! The brisket? It was delicious on it's own and needed no sauce at all. The only subtraction was with the delivery. Half of our company's order was forgotten meaning we only had a small container of beans as a side for about 10 people.

I was impressed!!! Not with the ambiance, although it was just a country looking barbeque place with picnic style tables and a front porch decor, but the food was awesome! I ordered the Porka-Bob (2 pork shanks per order). They were meaty, juicy and had this wonderful almost crispy exterior and served with sauce on the side. The wonderful little shank bone (popsicle-like) becomes a handle for dipping into the bbq sauce. I ordered potato salad (a little too much mayo but tasty) and the beans (pinto with tomato and onions). At least their side are homemade and not dumped out of can. My hubby ordered the Pulled Pork Tennessee style sandwich (excellent) with corn on the cob. You order at a window and they bring the food to you. At first we told the lady that we would take the order to go, but we had a seat and started listening to the vintage country music (Sirius radio) and decided we would eat our food there! We finished the meal with a couple pieces of pie... 1 chocolate + 1 coconut cream. Both were good, but we couldn't tell if they were homemade or not. Andy's was definitely a surprise but good food will certain get our repeat business. We'll be back!

The brisket was amazing needed more sauce but who cares only complaint nast ribs flavorless and cold

Well, we ate at Andy's BBQ again - ribs and brisket. Mouthwateringly good brisket! But tell me, is the one in Pasadena, TX the same "Andy's" as the one in LA? (That's where we ate.) Heck, "Andy's BBQ" rivals the best in Texas, Oklahoma, or even KC. Holy Mackerel, we're talking nirvana! The man's a "Hall of Famer" when it comes to BBQ.

Beware of Grumpy Old Man at the front. Idk if he's the owner but geeze louise was he in a grumpy mood! Rude and not friendly at all. Anyway on to the food review. Honestly it's probably the worst bbq I've ever had. No joke and I'm not just saying that cuz of Grumps Magee. I've never needed bbq sauce in my life before but in this case, I did. Flavorless and bland. I might have enjoyed the food a tad better had the service been better. Customer service is HUGE with me. I'd go back to a so so restaurant just for the good service and atmosphere. This place lacks everything. I'd skip it. Save your money and go someplace nicer with better food ;)

(5)Sheryl A.
(5)Kelsey G.
Really really overrated. It's just okay. They have friendly staff. I've never been for lunch but there is never a line at dinner time. They have banana pudding or bread pudding, I forget which one but it's pretty good.
(3)Gerzon P.
Food was very good but made me and a co worker very sick. Called and employee wasn't to worried about it. She just said she was passing the message over to her boss.
(1)Billie P.
Awesome food!! One must try the Pork K-Bobs, top notch! Location is in a residential area. Absolute must stop and revisit type of BBQ place. Seating is fair and service is good.
(4)Kansas M.
(2)Jesus P.
Great food!!! Great service!!! And awesome desserts!!!! You will not regret going to Andy's the ribs just fall off the bone the brisket is moist and the baked potatoe salad is a must have side....
(5)Chuck A.
(5)Kat D.
(4)Bob K.
Easily 4 stars.....worth the trip...had 2 meat lunch. Pork and brisket, sauce is great, baked potato salad is the best...don't get the bread.....don't need the extra carbs. Just go!
(4)Steve H.
BBQ was good. The armadillo eggs were amazing. If I get back to the area, will be sure to grab some more of this goodness.
(4)Thomas G.
(5)Tonya F.
Love this place! The best BBQ around!
(5)Edward W.
(4)Kim S.
(5)Vik S.
Pretty good BBQ. Also they do catering for reasonable prices as well.
(3)Lorena T.
Food was good. Really like their coleslaw.
(3)Jeff W.
Had the brisket and ribs with baked potato salad and fried okra. Everything was great. Service was great. Never would have found this place if it wasn't on Yelp.
(5)Ann T.
Absolutely hands down the best BBQ around. I had brisket and ham plate and it was delicious. I will definitely be back!!! The BBQ sauce was just the right amount of tart!
(5)Jay Morris M.
(5)Iping L.
great BBQ! a little pricey, but good amount of food provided. tastes wonderful! got the chicken and ribs. both fall off the bone! they give you a good amount of sauce when you take out. the place is located in a residential neighborhood, so it's very quiet and quaint. outside sitting available. staff is very friendly. I would def come back!
(5)Jacques B.
Great friendly service, parking kinda sucks a bit but its manageable
(5)Renee W.
Good bbq, but takes over an hour to get the order accurate. Went there twice and same problem each time, their bbq is not worth an over hour wait with constant badgering to get the order that you bought.
(1)Andrew A.
Best BBQ in town. It seems a little weird at first dunce it's in a residential area but don't let that fool you. The good is delicious. I had a large order with friends from out of town and they were very impressed how good the BBQ was. You can order online now which makes it pretty convenient.
(5)April P.
(5)Nichole W.
The Pulled Pork Tennessee Style with coleslaw is MESSY and tastes wonderful! Potato salad is really good too. New favorite bbq around. :-)
(5)Bobby L.
Do yourself a favor, and eat here! The pork kabobs and lemonade are delicious! Really I have not had anything I did not like.
(5)Mike B.
(5)T S.
Yup, had to do it again and it was consistently the same delicious barbecue I had the week before! I purchased the 1/2 gallon of sauce to take home to HI. Forgot to mention I had the okra and the warm potato salad and both were Outstanding!!!
(5)Ken H.
Very good restaurant in an odd location. Really good barbeque. I had the pulled pork sandwich, but the star of the show was the armadillo egg roll.
(4)Tommie W.
(4)Ronnie M.
It's just...ok. A bbq joint really has to have outstanding ribs for me to really enjoy it.
(2)Andy C.
This place is as mediocre as it gets. The meats aren't very smokey, the pulled pork was dry, the portions were too small for their overly high prices. The service was good that's why I'm giving it 2 stars.
(2)Jessica C.
(5)David P.
Best barbecue I have had in years. Very nice staff, reasonable prices, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend to people visiting the area and looking for authentic Texas BBQ.
(5)Kris Z.
(5)Valerie A.
(5)Jonathan T.
(5)R R.
We tried Andy's for the first time today. Must say it is the best around the Pasadena/Deer Park area for sure! Brisket was so tender and the ribs just fell right off the bone. Desserts were delicious!
(5)Donna N.
(2)J G.
(2)Cindy D.
(5)Paul M.
(5)Viridiana O.
Best bbq ever I love this place better then pps bbq, Rudy's .great stuff very friendly and nice
(5)Jean G.
I took my dad here when he visited Texas and he was in heaven. The ribs are enormous so be conservative with your order then get more if needed. Otherwise, bring a cooler with ice. I wasn't crazy about the other meats I ordered.
(4)Joseph W.
(1)Nichole C.
(1)Misty K.
I went in for lunch and the burger was amazing so I took my husband there a few days later. The pulled pork sandwich was amazing. I can't wait to go again. Yum!
(5)Adrianna U.
Bbq was awesome!! The baked potato salad was so good. Bbq sauce was amazing!! The people were so sweet!! If you love bbq you have to give them a try. =)
(5)Nathan J.
Best ever! Love that sauce. The pulled pork was outstanding. People were very friendly. Can't wait to try the armadillo eggs.
(5)Carolina S.
My second time here. BBQ is great, but the staff is very unfriendly. Doubt I'll return when we have many more options in the area.
(2)Erin W.
Food is top notch. The staff is friendly and provides great service. We have tried a variety of items off the menu, including the cobbler, and we have never been disappointed.
(5)John R.
Service was good, deserving of a 3, but unimpressed by food, the ribs were boiled and greasy, just not much to them to pay 13 dollars and get three ribs, was hoping for a lot more than boiled meat
(2)Rachel W.
As far as I'm concerned - best brisket in town. Like the atmosphere and the home owned feel. The red skin potato salad is awesome and the BBQ Sauce is divine! Can't wait to go back!
(5)Sheila P.
(5)Amanda Q.
I've forgotten before only to remember upon pulling up in to an empty parking lot :(
(5)Allison R.
(4)Jeannette M.
yummmmyyyyyy !! no other comment needed !!
(5)Michael D.
Delicious! BBQ brisket was smoked, tender and moist, BBQ sauce was tangy good and the red potato salad was great. They also have a culture of friendly service. Even though they're off the beaten path, We highly recommend them!
(5)Zoe K.
excellent barbeque - and I don't even really like barbeque!
(5)Sue H.
The best ribs and pulled pork we've had! And the fried okra was great too. This is a really wonderful Texas BBQ! They have it all - fast, friendly service, nice atmosphere, and AWESOME food!
(5)Kaiser M.
(4)Andrew M.

(1)Darcy M.
(5)Katie M.

This is the spot to get a good BBQ meal! Every time I come here the taste of the food is on point! If you are on the go give them a phone call and they'll start getting your To-Go order ready! Two thumbs up!

First time at this little hole in the wall. All I can say is... Damn good Que. Had the pulled pork sandwich Tennessee style and their red skin potato salad abd was very happy. Will continue to go and explore the menu. Fast friendly service and inexpensive for good Que.

Really good BBQ. Got lunch for two with a coupon from the back of my receipt from H.E.B. on Fairmont. Definitely will be back.
