Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Always love coming here when im in the area. I have to say the taste of the food has gotten way better even though I've always loved it. Food was so delicious and service on point! My mom always comes in from out of town and specifically asks to come to Taste of Asia

Expensive prices for their subpar Chinese. Reheated dumplings, dry orange chicken and almost inedible asian egg rolls made our Saturday night dinner a major letdown. We are used to the DFW "tax" the local restaurants place on their food, but we expect the food to at least match the mediocre quality of Chinese anyone can find in most "asian" chain restaurants in the USA. This TOA needs an overhaul in staff and management.

Surprisingly good Asian restaurant. They offer a variety of Chinese and Japanese dishes with a little bit of Thai and quasi Korean options sprinkled in. We split an order of their chicken dumplings and really enjoyed them. We'd definitely order those again. My husband ordered the General Tso's lunch special while I had the Spicy Korean chicken special. They were both good but his was better. I'm not normally a fan of General Tso's but theirs was great. It was large chunks of chicken, lightly breaded and tossed in a slightly sweet and spicy sauce. Most of the time places bread their chicken way too heavily but not here. It was light and still crispy despite being tossed in sauce. Mine was alright once I stopped thinking about it being a "Korean" dish. It didn't particularly taste Korean but I think they did use a little bit of gochujang (red pepper paste) in the sauce. It was alright but nothing to write home about.

Just got off the plane from Washington, DC to meet my niece and her mom for dinner with my 18 yr old baby. Daughter and I enjoyed excellent and inexpensive Thai food the night before in NOVA so was a little hesitant about gushing over north Texas Asian cuisine. Very suprised to find so tasty, varied and plentiful (okay maybe not so surprised about portion size) fare. Thai iced tea, Pad Thai, Lo Mein noodles and Beef and Broccoli all were very good. Appetizers like pork dumplings, fried avocado and Hot Attack (stuffed jalapenos) were excellent! Great place to stop in for an Asian fix without spending too much fanfare, time or money!

Trying to figure out what happened.... We came in for dinner, assuming by reviews it should have been decent - we were wrong. The waitress, Sophia, was wonderful - I have to say that. It was the only positive from this experience. Orange chicken is obviously frozen precooked chunks of chicken... basically it tasted like those Tyson chicken strips with a sweet spicy glaze poured over it. If I wanted fried chicken, we would have gone else where. The sweet and sour with the over cooked crab ragoons tasted like jelly that was put in the microwave. The California roll was warm and the crispy roll was cold and bitter. The Wasabi was dried out. Let's also not forget that we were there around 730.. they took the condiments, sugar, etc off of our table while we were there eating.

This particular location is hit or miss. The second time and the last time (4th) I came here it was perfect, food was delicious (Cajun Roll, Eel Roll, Lettuce Wraps, and some Miso soup) and the service was prompt and efficient. However the first and third time was awful the server, who was different in each instance, was smug and rude and the Cajun Roll was straight cold and the chicken for the lettuce wraps was incredibly chewy. Now, in all fairness I just smiled and took the beating the food gave me not giving them a chance to fix it, but due to the service being as terrible as it was I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. Not a bad place but again, it really is hit or miss.

Have been going to other local places and wanted to try somewhere new. The food was delicious and is our new go to place. The egg rolls are more like spring rolls but very good. Portions are large, enough for leftovers the next day! I have not dined in, only have gotten take out. Highly recommend.

Ordered delivery to hotel room. General Tso, Shrimp Lomain, Egg Rolls and Crab Rangoon. The delivery was less than 30 minutes and the food was hot and fresh. The portions are huge and I'll probably have enough left for lunch the next day. Great place if you don't want to go out.
(5)Trenton T.
It was edible. Lo Mein and Pad Thai were both sub par. Hardly any meat and they definitely didn't taste fresh. Fried rice just tasted like soy sauce.
(1)Courtney V.
Just ordered take out. It cost me 35$ for two orange chicken meals and won ton soup which I was okay with until I tried the food. The chicken was dry and barely had any sauce. I asked for plastic ware and was given one fork and one spoon when I needed two of each. We were given one packet of soy sauce and one fortune cookie that was opened and squished. I am very disappointed in the food I received so next time I will take my business else where.

I'll have to say* I have a change of heart about this place. The own, and management clear the situation up. I'm very pleased

This place seems like a solid spot for Chinese. We ordered delivery (which was quick) and everything arrived hot and fresh. I don't remember what I ordered (their menu is massive), but I enjoyed it. The veggies had a nice crunch and there was plenty of meat. My wife's dish was also good, especially the sauce. Overall, nothing unusual or spectacular, but solid food and service in an area full of mediocre Asian restaurants. (An accurate score would probably be 3.5 stars.) I'd order from them again.
(3)Adya M.
Tasty, and a lot of variety and options. The food quality is just okay, but if you're looking for a place to grab lunch with coworkers, there's something here for everyone and the value is good (the lunch specials come with quite a bit of food).

This is about the worst Americanized Chinese I've tasted--I threw out all of my 4-entree takeout order after sampling what Taste of Asia offered. Cream Pecan Prawn: sweet creamy dressing was destroyed by the fishy tasting shrimp contained in the dish. Obviously somebody in the kitchen tried to cut cost by reusing old, frozen shrimp. I ate the pecans--they were the only things that I liked off this dish. Green Bean Chicken: should have known that these beans would be the thick-hulled green beans that go better in an American casserole rather than the standard thin string beans known in Asia. These ended up barely cooked--rendering the dish even less palatable. The garlic brown sauce was light on the promised garlic flavor. Mongolian Beef: Seriously where's the beef? I had to pick out tiny morsels of protein out of the overgrown tangle of green and yellow onions. The sweet garlic sauce was tasty, but the advertised crispy rice noodles were missing. General Tso's Chicken: a thick sweet gloppy sauce drowned the fried battered chicken--typical of most heavy-handed renditions of this dish. This was probably the best out of the bunch--which isn't saying much--but I requested it spicy which was not delivered. My spidey sense was a-tingling when I didn't spy a single Asian manning the counter or working the kitchen. If all you know about Chinese food is fortune cookies and egg foo young, then maybe Taste of Asia is right up your alley--but for those of us with higher standards, there are much better places for Chinese. I'd venture to say that even commercialized Asian chains like Panda Express and Pei Wei serve a better grade of pseudo-asian food than this.

We made an order for delivery on a Sunday. The customer service was sufficiently good. The delivery was quick and the food was only a little cold, but it didn't help that it was 40 degrees and raining out so we didn't feel that it was entirely there fault. The food though, was rather disappointing. We ordered an Alaskan roll which was actually pretty good but the orange chicken, fried rice and lo mein were not spectacular. The orange chicken was chewy and lacking in flavor, the lo mein was rubbery and the fried rice was simply nothing spectacular. The miso soup was different than I'd ever had also and wasn't very good. Overall this experience was not Terrible but wasn't somewhere I'd order from again or recommend.
(3)Blair J.
This place is not outstanding but very reliable, quick/easy and affordable. I do love the variety of the menu seeing as you wouldn't normally see sushi at a place like this. It's decent sushi, not amazing, but it won't make you sick either. Two thumbs up for delivery if you're close! Also have great lunch deals. I frequent this place and recommend it if it's what you're looking for.
(4)Joe R.
The food is generally hot and delivered within the time they say, my only gripe is that every time I call for a delivery the price always go up. If this continues shortly the price will not justify the foods quality and we will have to go elsewhere. We have been ordering from this establishment for over 7 years, ever since we moved here.
(4)Paula S.
This place is our go to place for nearby Asian food. They have a good variety of entrees and sushi for a very reasonable price. My husband always orders the orange chicken, my son loves the chicken fried rice and my daughter orders the beach roll. I like their tasty Asian noodle soup with chicken and pho. The broth is always flavorful and can beat out some of the pho I've tried at other places. The one that they need tp improve is their egg rolls. It tastes somewhat like it has curry in it. Not good. For appetizer I like the summer rolls, chicken lettuce wrap or fried green beans. Wait staff are all very nice. We've cone here so often that all of them know our drink orders without having to tell them.
(4)David P.
My wife and I had the Shrimp LoMein and Japanese style Tofu with chicken. Food here is consistently good. However today with the low mein it came with an Spring Roll. Let me tell you don't even try this Spring Roll as it is absolutely terrible. No taste whatsoever and just straight vegetables. Funny thing is when we are about to leave the couple in the table behind us are doing their orders and they must have known this as they are substituting this spring roll with a miso soup and another soup. I guess they must have tried these spring rolls on prior visit and knew how terrible they are. With this in mind if you do visit this great restaurant remember to substitute this spring rolls with something edible.
(4)Doug R.
Your average "Chinese" food place. It is good but nothing to write home about. My buddy brought me here for sushi. After eating I explained what good sushi was to him and how this wasn't it. It would be good for a sushi n00b, but anyone that enjoys sushi won't want to come here.
(3)Mark W.
Taste of Asia has the best beef in Chinese food industry in lewisville. ORANGE PEEL BEEF PEOPLE! That will change your life add some lo mein or white rice. Even the orange peel shrimp is on another level. #Igotthemunchies
(5)Alicia V.
Ordered delivery. The miso dressing on the green salad was gross, but everything else was great. Loved the egg drop soup and the chicken Lo mein. I would definitely order from them again.
(4)R D.
2-3 times a month I get lunch from here. It's so much tasty good that you can't decide what to get. Avocado Haven is so yummy, try spicy edamame....
(5)Hailey J.
Fast delivery time, but worst Orange Chicken I've ever had. Soggy shrimp tempura, dry fried rice...Over $40 (plus tip) for crappy food. Will be calling someone else next time.
(2)Tracie Y.
Worst pad Thai ever. The chicken seemed processed and very rubbery. So disappointing. The noodles were dry. I couldn't finish it.

I have eaten the food at this establishment since it opened. I ordered a Lunch Special General Tso's shrimp which their menu (both on and off line ) lists as $7.45, with the addition of brown rice for an extra .99, that should have brought the total to $8.44, but instead they over charged me at $9.20 and added a $1 gas fee, which I don't mind since the delivered it, but its not disclosed anywhere that I could find. When I noticed the error the next day, I called and asked how they figure up the $9.20, to which the fellow on the phone didn't know, but he said that "they'd raise their prices last week" and that the paper menu they'd stapled to the delivery bag was out of date, but that the correct prices were posted online at their website. He didn't offer to do anything for me. We hung up, it was cordial but not a good customer experience especially when I checked their website. The cost of the item is listed the same on both the delivery menu and the website. So beware, THIS ESTABLISHMENT WAS NOT FORTHRIGHT with me, to say it politely. I feel as if I've been taken advantage of. Unfortunate, very unfortunate. They get a failing grade from me. If I could rate them a "no stars" I'd do so for their very shabby unprofessional less than stellar performance. Check your bills.
(1)Blake B.
Love this place and the owner! Decent sushi and great meals! All come with rice which is a plus. Orange chicken has a bit of a kick to it which I love and the string bean chicken is great too! Love this place! They deliver too, so they're always my go to Chinese/Japanese place!
(4)Paula A.
We went there on a Saturday afternoon. It was a little before 4pm. The server told us (5) that we could order from the lunch menu which we did but then suddenly we were told by our now new server that oops no you can't because the computer changed and it was no longer possible. Our food and what we thought we were getting also changed not to mention the price as well. The service was below par and we were just about the only ones there. We won't be going back because the food was not very good either and the lo mein noodles were spaghetti noodles and they had a smell like old oil or something.
(1)Shay S.
In my first review I gave a raving good review about the staff at this place. Unfortunately, my recent visit did not reflect that review so I felt the need to update. There was a lady who was dressed in casual clothing (obviously not part of the waiting staff) who greeted us and took our order. She was not very welcoming and almost a bit rude. I've never seen her working at this restaurant since I usually come during the evening time. Was a little unfortunate ( - 1 star). I hope this place keeps up with the amazing staff because that is one reason I like this place so much. The food was amazing as usual so still a good 4/5 star (read my previous review for more detail).

Embarrassed to say this was our first time eating here. Our waiter, Tony was excellent and his recommendations were right on. We had the fried chicken dumplings , the beach roll and sweet and sour chicken. All items were fresh, hot and delicious. We are happy that we found this place with Yelp's guidance.

This meal has left me confused. To start I ordered egg drop soup. The consistency was just as it should be, not thin as broth soups but not overly thick. The taste was light and showcased the egg rather then the sodium. It was served on a plate with a solid helping of crispy wanton strips. I didn't even use them all, and that might be a first. For the meal I had the orange chicken lunch special. It was reasonably priced at 6.75 and came with an egg roll and a side of rice. The first thing I noticed was how little chicken it looked like I received. Second was that my fried rice looked like brown rice. It was an attractive presentation and I was ready to get down to business. Once I cut into the first piece of chicken I was a little startled. This chicken was recognizable as chicken breast like you if might have at home rather then the mealy mystery chicken I have come to accept as Chinese food. Turns out there was more food then I thought as I didn't get very far through it. I throughly enjoyed the sauce which was spicy and sweet neither overpowering the other. It was obvious someone put time and effort in. I'm still convinced they gave me brown rice rather then fried, it was okay. Now about the egg roll, this is where the wheels fall off. It was the absolute worst I've ever had. I had one bite and all I tasted was celery. I dissected it just to see and what I found looked like the pulpy leavings of my juicer. I tried l eat just the wrapper but it was ruined by the filling. Staff was attentive, my drink was refilled in a timely manner, I got a to go box promptly as well. They even brought the check out a little after the food, I appreciate this since I'm always in a time crunch at lunch. Anyway there you go. I asked "will I be back?" Probably not, but it certainly a nice lunch choice.
(4)Kat L.
You have to know what to order. Not everything is good. The pad see ew, general tso and lettuce rolls are fantastic. I prefer it over most other places. It's nice they deliver within a pretty large radius.
(4)Nicole S.
The food is always tasty and well-prepared. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The dining area is much larger than your standard Asian takeout place, and they have always been able to accommodate us whenever we bring in a large group for supper.
(5)Erin A.
I've eaten in, picked up and ordered out numerous times since they've opened. I've never had a bad experience and everything I've tried has been good. Their portions do seem to be larger when dining in. After years of trying their different items, I tend to stick to my favorites; hot and sour soup, summer rolls, cream pecan prawn, pad thai, orange chicken/beef and sesame chicken or beef. All these items are always great! When I'm feeling sick, I always stop in for some wonton soup. Makes me feel better instantly.
(5)Tom N.
The food is Great the service stinks most of the time .The owner used to be there often and the service was much better. The wait staff does not appear to be well trained. The managers Charlie and Cory do a good job in my opinion but, service has just gotten bad which has changed my times of eating here from once or twice a week to every few months it's a shame because the food is wonderful.Hopefully they get back on track with improved service and they would have more dine in than take out or delivery!
(4)Garfield M.
Not sure if they have changed chef but the food is not as good as it use to be. I use to enjoy a vegetable lo mien all by it self. It was favorable and enjoyable now it is bland and tasteless.
(2)Brittany L.
When I first moved up to up around here from Arlington, I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to find some good Asian food up in these parts... And then I found Taste of Asia... And was still convinced I still had to drive a bit further down George Bush before coming across any actual Asian cuisine. And if the fact that it was completely DEAD in the restaurant around 6:30-7:00pm on a Friday evening is any sort of indication... Then there ya go. But don't get me wrong, Taste of Asia isn't terrible... Just not great. It borderlines "okay" and "decent". I would describe it as a glorified Panda Express... with a sushi bar. The quality of the food is definitely on the same par as Panda. And 30 minutes after digestion, makes my stomach ache the same way. I've only ever gotten take-out here, and can't imagine ever feeling the need to dine in... There's absolutely no atmosphere there. It has as much ambience as a padded cell. But, the employees seem super nice. Most of the entrees and noodle dishes are pretty standard. Same goes for some appetizers, but I do recall once ordering a soup (I forgot what it was) that I couldn't even force myself to finish... Overall, my experience at Taste of Asia couldn't even really be called an "experience". Pretty forgettable until they stick a take out menu to my door and I suddenly start craving deep fried teriyaki chicken. But, (technically) no complaints.
(3)Christiana S.
I am amazed at the range of options this place offers on the menu. Most of the time, when a restaurant tries to vary too much, it never succeeds at any of it. We have a definite exception to that rule here. I eat here fairly regularly, dining in restaurant and take out and delivery. I am moving out of Lewisville to downtown Dallas, and will STILL come here after the move. My husband has already instructed me to bring it home for dinner regularly after work (I work in Lewisville). From sushi to the staples like General Tzo's Chicken, to Pad Thai, to Curry Fried Rice...this place does it all and does it fairly well. Sometimes the restaurant seems dead, but if you really pay attention, there are tons of orders going out the door. People come in for take-out and deliveries go out all the time. If people are driving here for take-out, then they live outside the delivery area. That should tell you how good this place is. It's not a buffet, which is fantastic. Everything is made to order. And I never, ever eat here without ordering both the crab rangoon AND the great balls of fire!
(4)Rachel W.
This place is hard to find, but the food is well worth it. Perfect for lunch, and they do have lunch specials.
(4)Elizabeth V.
The soup and lunch specials are delicious, definitely going to be one of my favorite places for lunch
(4)Carol T.
I enjoyed my meal. Had it delivered. Ordered steamed dumplings and Vietnamese Spring rolls since we are trying to be healthier. Loved the dipping sauces for both. Then I tried something I've never had- Pad Thai. I liked it. My husband even liked it and he isn't as adventurous in trying new things. I will order from this restaurant again and can't wait to try more dishes.
(4)Jonny S.
Sometimes I worry about restaurants that try to do too much and have too broad of a menu. Can they really provide quality with meals ranging from Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. With Taste of Asia the answer is YES. Since we ate twice here while visiting Lewisville one weekend, we were able to get a fairly good sample. The sushi ranges from traditional to very creative and was quite tasty. Also greatly enjoyed the General Tso's chicken and Curry Fried Rice. But what I crave most are the Great Balls of Fire...a silly name for a seriously good appetizer. Spicy and cheesy balls of crab meat fried tempura style. They're full of crabby goodness, and I could make a meal out of them alone.
(4)Sarah C.
My fiance and I just tried Taste of Asia tonight for the first time and are so disappointed we didn't find this place sooner! Formerly NJ residents, we haven't found all the best places to eat yet, and enjoyed going to Pei Wei here and there, but now that we've found this little gem, we will be coming here for our asian food fix. The restaurant is small but has a very contemporary and inviting feel. Not like your average takeout place. It's a lot nicer. It's warm and welcoming. They also serve alcohol and have daily specials which we will definitely take advantage of on the weekend sometime. I had the wonton soup and he had the chicken dumpling soup and both soups had an awesome flavored broth. The wontons and dumplings both were delicate and carefully crafted and most of all, yummy. I had the Korean Spicy steak and friend rice and he had General Tso's chicken and fried rice. The Korean Spicy was great. It had lots of the veggies stated and the steak was decent quality. The sauce was spicy and there was plenty of it to soak up more with my rice if I so chose. The General Tso's chicken was such a good portion size. The chicken pieces were huge and breaded perfectly. They were crunchy on the outside with a spicy sweet zing, and juicy in the middle. Service was prompt and friendly. The owner or manager (we weren't sure) came to greet us mid meal and check on us. As we were leaving, he made sure to thank us and even chatted with us a minute while we complimented his slamming asian restaurant. The fact that they do delivery and takeout is also a huge bonus. This place is a triple threat and I'm happy we found them!
(5)John H.
It was ight, the teriyaki salmon from the lunch special tasted blan and the texture felt compressed and dry. Everything else seemed standared/general. Usually I'm able to gorge myself with Asian food like any other good American but I just wasn't feeling up to the challenge.
(3)A. E. M.
This place was gross. Nothing I ordered tasted good, it all tasted old. The steamed dumplings were the best thing and they tasted off. ..Like they had been peed on. The volcano roll was thrown away after a brave taste. It looked like baby diarrhea was pooped on a roll that was sitting in a puddle of oil with bits of crawfish floating in it. It was soggy, mushy and dripping in oil. It tasted accordingly. "20 minutes prep time"? Is that how long the laxative takes to kick in? The Mongolian beef was a bundle and a half of green onions, at least a whole large onion cut in slivers, and a little beef (they definitely are not generous with the meat.. It was like playing hide and seek) . It had very little flavor other than onion. and finally the fried rice that tasted like they used old oil from their fryer only to give me the bottom of the pot that had been sitting out all day. It was all Gross. I wouldn't eat their food again even if I was hungry and they offered it to me for free. The fortune cookie was the highlight of the meal. It was the freshest tasting part of the meal and its pre packaged..
(1)Mary M.
This place is amazing .. We love eating here. The service is great and staff is great. Dine in or delivery always same great service and food.
(5)Denise H.
Big expansive menu. Almost too big. Restaurant itself nothing to write home about but the food is good . Reasonably priced too. Service was spotty. The place was packed on a Friday night, so that says something. I think I will just do carry out from now on as the foods better then the atmosphere.
(3)Tim L.
I always get my food delivered from Taste of Asia. The latest you can order for delivery on Fridays and Saturdays is 9:45 and for whatever reason I seem to like ordering close to this deadline. I've never been told that it was too late to order nor does the person answering the phone sound annoyed. From a customer service standpoint this restaurant rocks! I usually get the Sesame Chicken, General Tso's Beef and Pan Fried Egg Noodle because it provides a good variation of what they have to offer there. The chicken pieces are HUGE and the sauce is very tasty without being too salty. The chunks are crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside even though they use white meat. The beef in the General Tso's dish is always super tender and the sauce that goes with it is amazing. This is probably my favorite dish here. If you're looking for something different, the Pan Fried Egg Noodles is an excellent choice. If you're unfamiliar with this dish the noodles are basically fried until they're crispy. Then you pour sauce on top of it before serving leaving the texture of the noodles between crunchy and soggy with each bite. It tastes better than what it sounds like. Trust me. It's something you should experience if you haven't already. There are other times that I get the sushi rolls here. Don't be scared to order rolls from this place. Almost all the ones I've tried have been really good and you can't beat the prices. A legit Volcano roll for under 10 bucks? Tell me where else you can get something like that. That's the most expensive roll here just to give you an idea of prices. Make note that delivery times can sometimes go up to 45 minutes when they're extremely busy.
(4)Jy C.
Came here for the first time and am very pleased!!! The service is pretty awesome and very sweet waiters. The food is really great too. I was really suprised that the food tasted good while the prices were low. I really love the buy 2 beer or wine and get 1 free deal for mon to wed. My overall experience here was great. I will come again.
(4)Molly T.
I still wasn't feeling quite right today, so I was out for another round of Pho! This was the first time here and I have to admit, I liked the variety of the menu. They have everything from sushi to Chinese to Vietnamese. The restaurant was nice and clean. I walked right in at 1110am and sat down immediately. I ordered the spring rolls which were made on the spot, tasty and accompanied by peanut sauce. I asked for Siracha to heat my tastebuds up a little. Then, I ordered the chicken pho. It took longer than at a normal Vietnamese place but I soon discovered why. I suspect they actually lightly batter and stir fry the chicken, which made it very tender. They also put the whole thing together for you, instead of having to add the vegetables yourself. It was light on the veggies but the only thing missing were a few sliced jalapenos. They have Happy Hour specials too, so I'll keep this in mind for a dinner option. I'm looking forward to trying their sushi rolls. It looks like a great place to try a variety of foods, and the prices were not expensive.
(4)Rikki L.
Went out with a bunch of friends to an early dinner and this place was empty when we got there but DO NOT let that turn you off. The service was good as well as the food. Not one person didn't love what they had. Pretty decent sushi and excellent pad Thai! I would recommend to anyone!
(4)Jana K.
We read the reviews on yelp before going ourselves. I am not begin on Asian food but my husband loves it so from time to time I'll eat it with him. I was tired of Pei Wei & Panda Express though so we wanted something new. I ordered Beef Mongolian & he ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken. Mine was amazing & his was decent. His came with the sauce on the side which was a little weird. We also had Crab Rangoons. They were good, but not the best. Our service was fantastic and the prices were decent.
(4)James A.
Awesome food. Less atmosphere! Everything we had was extremely good. I almost passed it up because of the few bad reviews. We will be exploring more of the menu soon Egg drop and wonton soup is outstanding. Fireball with crab, cheese and spices. wow! Try the little peppers that come one the side. Hooooootttttt!!!! Fried avocados with tempera batter interesting !!!! Sushi. Great price and as good as you could ask for Service. Very good.

My wife and I walked in here for lunch. It smelled like a sewer. Didn't bother to stay it was so repulsive.

The food is great, sushi is amazing! The staff is always courteous and helpful, all around a great place to eat and relax. :)

Cheap prices, good portions - decent food. The food is pretty average, kind of greasy and seems like any other asian take out. The plus' in my opinion are that they serve alcohol and sushi as well. I'd go back.

Worst food and service ever. Cory the owner was rude and condescending. Food delivery took over an hour. DO NOT EAT HERE!

They have everything...and they're cheap, so I continue to go :) They serve vietnamese, thai, sushi, and chinese cuisine, and I haven't found anything they do poorly. Now, it's not GREAT food, but for the price it is pretty darn good. I like the Denton roll and the Crispy rolls best from their sushi menu. Their pho is pretty good, but I'd rather go down the street to Pho Que Huong for vietnamese (since it's their specialty). But considering this place has so many types of food, they do pretty good with all of what they prepare, so if your family has a variety of desires for a meal, this is a good place to go.

I eat there a LOT!

Don't order anything fried if you're getting it delivered. It was pretty cold and hurt to try and chew.

This place has decent Asian food. Not the best in the metroplex, and definitely not the worst. They get 4 stars from me for their super service. I often am VERY pressed for time at lunch, so I either order delivery or run in and request accelerated service. Every time I've ordered delivery, it was at my office before their promised time. Every time I've walked in asking for accelerated service, my meal was out in less than 5 minutes accompanied by my check so I could pay while I ate. As a busy business person, I truly appreciate them for this!

After living in several metro areas, I am t tough customer when it comes to sushi. This is by far the best sushi that I've had since moving here last fall. And it's a sushi and chineese restaurant. My experiences with these combo diners usually leave me dissapointed, but this was the exception.

We ordered egg drop soup, chicken dumpling soup, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken pad Thai. It was all very good. They took about an hour to deliver the food.

This place is a no-go unless you're extremely patient and have an iron stomach. I ordered a bento box of california rolls and teriyaki salmon and it took them 30 minutes to make it. We kept wondering what was the hold up since my hour for lunch was almost up, but the best answer they could give me was that the salmon takes a long time to cook. Um, the salmon was literally the tiniest slice of salmon i've ever seen. It was one chunk that was about 1/4 inch thick and 2 x 1 inches in perimeter drenched with soy sauce and peppered with sesame seeds. The two tiny bites worth of salmon that I so 'patiently' waited for were so disappointing. The california rolls were so-so and the salad definitely left much to be desired. Probably the sorriest bento box i've ever had. So I go back to work and my stomach really hurts. I assume the pain will go away in a couple of hours, but it continues on for two days. $130 bill from Urgent Care later, I have probably passed whatever germs were on that measly, unclean piece of salmon by now. Thanks a lot, Taste of Asia.

In tis area the Asian food choices are a bit limited and the delivery choices are even more meager. I'm happy that an establishment is available that offers more than your typical franchisee fair and is decent on the wallet as well as the tastebuds. But, I think it has to be stated that if you have a Facebook making the proclamation that your food is, "Just the best Asian restaurant in DFW" you better have a pair of brass cajones to back up such a bold and fearless statement. Does Taste of Asia deliver on that daring declaration? In one word: no. Don't get me wrong, I live nearby and have eaten there a few times and get delivery here and there. The food isn't bad but to proclaim it's the best in the entire Metroplex is grossly overstated and just setting your customers up for disappointment. I give the place 3 stars because I've yet to feel ill after eating there, the food is decently priced and flavored, the service wasn't disappointing, they deliver to my home and the bathrooms were clean. But I wouldn't drive across town to eat there.

I've eaten lunch here several times. The food is always tasty and consistent quality. Pot stickers are really good and the lunch portions are very good. Delivery is quick too. A good mid range Chinese restaurant.

The 2nd star says "Meh. I've experienced better." and that perfectly describes our experience with Taste of Asia. It wasn't necessarily bad...it just wasn't good. Between my husband and I we got one eggroll, egg drop soup, crab rangoons, edamame, veggie fried rice and a Philadelphia roll. [My favorite thing is left over Chinese, so I order with the expectation of taking leftovers for lunch.] Here's the breakdown...the eggroll was greasy, that's all my husband could taste. The egg drop soup was pretty good. The crab rangoons were pretty terrible. The edamame was...ok. I could have just steamed some of the frozen stuff and it would have been the same. The veggie fried rice was also just ok. I know I probably shouldn't expect amazing flavor from fried rice, but I've had some really great fried rice. This just fell flat. The Philly roll wasn't bad, but I could have gotten it at the grocery store. Nothing special. To sum it all up...Meh. We were disappointed. We really wanted to like this place.

This is my primary Chinese food delivery place. I love the fact that they have spring rolls. They package their food better than most and you can tell they spend a little more time preparing the food. The rolls were okay. Being that I ran a sushi restaurant for 4 years, I am a little picky. The rice and fish were fresh. I would give them 5 stars, but apparently you are not taken seriously on yelp if you give out 5 stars. P.S. Their prices are veeerrry reasonable!

The staff here is very friendly and considerate about their customers. The food is typical americanized Chinese. I ordered the General Tsao's Chicken the piece of chicken were quite large and had a more sweet than spicy flavor to it. The Pad Thai lacked the true Thai flavor that I had hoped for. The Vietnamese spring roll fell apart as soon as I picked it up and needed more herbs to make it taste truly Vietnamese. But an overall nice experience.

Taste of Asia is a brand new addition to Lewisville. There aren't a lot of great Asian restaurants in this particular area so I think TOA will be pretty successful. I stopped in a few days ago to give this place a try. The restaurant was clean and organized. It wasn't really busy but there was a fair amount of people seated in the booth areas. We take a seat and our server assists us immediately. I started with dumpling soup and the bf had egg drop. Both soups arrived quickly and were delicious. The soup appetizers range from $1.50-$1.99. So worth it! We moved onto the entrees. We ordered garlic chicken and general tso's chicken. Both of them were excellent. They offer a selection of steamed, brown, or fried rice on the side. We both had the brown. The entrees were great and they run at about 8 bucks a piece. There was quite a variety of different kinds of Asian foods on the menu. They had Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Korean - hence the name Taste of Asia. After our meal the manager on duty came to our table and asked us how everything was. They asked how we heard about them. Every single person on the staff of this restaurant is on the ball. If this place continues to have the great customer service that it has currently, it will do so well. During the grand opening, they are doing complimentary scoops of ice cream. We had a scoop of green tea and a scoop of plum. Both of the ice creams were good but the plum was amazing! It tastes like its made from a plum sake. TOA serves alcohol but we did not imbibe on this particular evening. Our total bill was around 26 dollars. Worth every penny!! I believe that there are a few other Taste of Asia locations in Ft. Worth. If you are in the Lewisville area, I highly recommend stopping into this location and enjoying their great food and excellent service! A+ Taste of Asia!

I was so excited to try this nearby place. My husband and I gave it a shot. We started off with the House Special Roll (Smoked Salmon, Tempura Shrimp, Avocado, Jalapeno, Cream Cheese, & Spicy Sauce - Fried). It was ok, nothing nearly as spectacular as it sounds, a let down for being the "house special anything." We then shared the Asian Curry Rice Noodles w/ Shrimp. It was not good and way overly spicy. If my husband won't eat it, it really isn't good. The boy eats everything. And we could handle the spice, it was the combo of flavors that didn't belong. The Thai Tea was good, but then again it's hard to mess that up. I will try Taste of Asia again, and hopefully will like some of their dishes in the future.

This must be a lunch spot. It's 7:45 and I'm the only patron in the restaurant. Miso soup, yum. Everything else, boring.
(3)Ken M.
Food here is pretty good not bad for the price. Not tried the sushi here but once you have had Benihana you kinda don't want to go back... anyway.... staff is nice and helpful... when I first try an asian food restaurant I have 2 things I order to tell me if they are going to be good. Most fail but these guys passed.

My husband and I really like this place! We enjoy their quick service, friendly staff, casual atmosphere, and large portions of tasty food. The egg drop soup and green salad with miso dressing are tasty starters. Try their Spam Musubi: it's delicious! :) We love the Kung Pao Chicken and Orange Peel Beef: I find the chicken in some of their fried dishes to be a little overcooked, but their beef is always tender and tasty with a crispy batter. The dinner portions are enough that we always take home left-overs!

Honestly, this place was a major let down for me. My friend recommended it, and after trying it I have nothing exceptional to say. The food was sub-par and fairly bland, though they did have a very nice variety: Chinese, Thai, Sushi and lots of alcohol. I'll eventually go back and try their Thai and see if that's any better than their Chinese and Sushi menu, but I won't get my hopes up. The prices were reasonable, however, and the waitstaff was very attentive.

This is a great little sushi place. Kind of quirky but the food has been consistently good and it's inexpensive. I've always said I could never afford to get full eating sushi but this place might just do it. Our waiter was helpful in making recommendations regarding some less traditional dishes. The atmosphere is somewhat lacking but for me the food makes up for it.

We chose to have dinner delivered and we ordered the tangerine beef with egg rolls. Unfortunately, it was a pretty awful dining experience. The breading on the beef was thick and mushy and the beef itself was almost nonexistent. After tossing the entree in the trash we moved to the egg rolls which were very greasy and had too much...cinnamon? We have had better experiences when they first opened but lately they sure seem to be on the decline.

Best take around! Great egg rolls!

This is the best Chinese restaurant in this area. We have been waiting for years for a decent Chinese restaurant, so finally, we have one. The Egg Drop Soup is excellent. My favorites are the Garlic Green Bean Chicken and the Sesame Chicken. The Sesame Chicken is more than enough for 2 people and we have to take the leftovers home for a second meal! A great value. Much better food quality than the drab, tasteless buffet Chinese places that have taken over the metroplex.

OK, I'm a big Pha Thai or Pad Thai fan. I've experienced many. Today was Taste of Asia. Large portion, good enough for two, nonsense, not I. Missing tofu. slightly dry. Needed more tamarind sauce. Soft egg, excellent. Crunchy scallions, crisp bean sprout and chewy rice noodles. yep. Due to the lack of sauce the noddles were clumped together and under cooked. Its was one minute before al dente. Good taste but need refinement. Maybe less quantity and more quality. I will return and try my other fav Sesame/Cashew chicken. If I could give it a 3.5 stars, i would.
(3)Ben C.
Standard chinese place. My friends got the bell pepper and broccoli beef. I got the bento box. The price is pretty good for the amount you get, but i have to say but the quality is lacking. Im not sure what they do to the chicken but it is definitely not natural. I think they ground it into a paste and poached it or something. It was very tender but odd.
(3)Charis M.
This place is great! My husband and I eat here almost weekly and haven't found anything yet on the menu that we didn't like. They make all their own sauces, and you can really taste the difference. The service is always very friendly and the kitchen gets the food out pretty fast.
(5)Yen L.
The worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. Would rate 0 star if I could. Disclaimer: Never got around to try any of their food I only came in here because I was driving home from work and terribly hungry and craving some chinese food. Having recently moved to Lewisville, I didn't know which restaurant is good. I saw the sign and name of this place and I knew I wasn't gonna get any real authentic asian food but at least I thought I was going to get good service... boy was i wrong. So I walked in the door alone and saw 2/3 of the table empty and about 12 staff working. I walked in slowly waiting for somebody to greet me but nobody did. 2 waitress was taking order/cleaning and 10 others were standing there doing nothing. Nobody talked to me so I just sat down in an empty table. I waited for about 3 min and making eye contact with every single one of the idle workers who all quickly avoided my gaze. Finally I got up and left. This has never happened to me in restaurant, its as if I was black in the 1960s and walking into a white only restaurant or something. With that many restaurant aroiund its safe to say I am taking my stomach and wallet somewhere else and never going back again

Great food and great prices. Good variety of dishes and sushi. Friendly staff.

Wife and I have eaten takeout here a few months now - this is a great takeout place. They have decently varied dishes, they give tons of fried rice, and everything including the sushi is affordable. And the sushi is good! Unlike some other asian-fusion type restaurants, it's extremely tasty. Recently they forgot to include a dish in my order I picked up, and they drove it out to me - everyone's friendly with great, fast service.

Love this place. Food is good and the portion size is huge. We split one dish and that is just great. The delivery is crazy fast and the food is super hot when it arrives. Prices are good and the people are nice. The consistency can be off some times.
(4)David T.
The food was acceptable, but not exceptional. We ordered kung pao chicken, cashew chicken and a couple of sushi rolls. We also ordered from the kids menu, but that was never brought to us. The sushi was grocery store quality. The two chicken dishes were ok, but the rice was very dry and I couldn't have eaten it without the sauce from the kung pao. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is ok.
