Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

I am in love with this restaurant! We went for dinner last weekend Sunday evening. We had tried to go the night before but there was no parking! Sunday evening they still had a good crowd going but we were able to get in and seated in a booth immediately. First impression was that this was a well-loved place that has a good amount of regulars. It is very comfortable and relaxed, though it is nice. If that makes sense. It feels like some place you would be recognized and remembered after a few visits. Very welcoming. We started with pita and hummus, which was very good. The hummus was fresh tasting and had the perfect amount of oil and spice. I ordered shawerma combo so that I could try both their beef and chicken. It came with either soup or salad as well as rice and veggies. I opted for the lemon rice soup. I had had it before up in Minnesota and remember loving it so I was excited to see that they had it here. It did not disappoint. I would describe it as having a vibrant taste. So good! My entrée was just as good - the beef and chicken were both delicious. I used leftover pita from our hummus to make little shawerma tacos. The rice was good, but the veggies. Oh the veggies. Green beans and tomato goodness, y'all. I could eat a vat of that alone! My husband got the mixed grill. He was happy with the souvlaki chicken and beef, but didn't really care for the kefta kabob. We left full and with PLENTY of leftovers. I think in total we paid around $30 so for the amount of food and the quality we did good. We will definitely be going back to Café Medi. We had such a good experience, and we mentioned how good the food was several times after leaving. I would highly recommend giving them a try.

I'm a big fan of Greek cuisine, but by no means an expert. Café Medi had some of the best tasting Greek I've experienced. The same cannot be said about the service. It sucks, plain and simple. First, the good: The menu offers a lot of options with just about every "popular" Greek dish listed, from Shawerma to Baklava, and has a decent kids menu to boot! My wife and I ordered the Meza plate as a starter to go along with the piles of pita bread they stack on the table. The pitas themselves weren't fantastic, but the various dips were solid. I wouldn't pay the asking price for this particular item though, $8 for a small amount of sauce seems a bit ridiculous but what do I know? For our entrées, I ordered the Moussaka and my wife ordered Shawerma combo with the intention of sharing. The Moussaka was delicious, seriously one of the best foods I've eaten in a long while (this is coming from a guy fresh off a Whole30). The top layer, whatever it's made of, is a real treat. Just really good stuff and the portion size was huge considering the price ($14). The Shawerma combo was a good plate of food as well and was nice to eat, but it was overshadowed by the Moussaka. I think I would have preferred the Lamb Shank, but I couldn't get my wife to go in on that one. Finally, for dessert we had the Baklava, I can't personally speak to it but my wife assures me it's good. All in all, a well priced meal that left me full and satisfied. The service here is trash. That's a big deal to me. In fact, it's so bad I knocked the rating 2-3 stars. When we walked in, we told the hostess that we were a party of six + a baby. She looked dumbfounded and acted like she had no idea what to do. She then proceeded to walk around the corner and talk about our group with members of the staff. I don't care what was said, but it feels a bit off-putting to have someone "uhm, uhhh" with your group and then walk off without saying anything. Luckily, we were seated quickly (we had to pull our tables together though) and were given menus. The hostess came back and asked if we needed anything and I had some menu questions. I asked what a "fatoosh" was. Her response was, "I have no idea.... I'm no the one you should be asking". Hmm... ok..... So I asked the waitress. "The what? Uh, well, I think it's a salad. Yeah. A salad". So what's on it? "I have no idea". Ok...So we ordered and ate. The whole staff is clumsy, constantly bumping into our party, elbows, reaching over us while eating, etc. It's not flattering. As you may recall, the Moussaka was quite enjoyable so I asked what the topping was made of (Perhaps eggplant? Perhaps béchamel?). The response? You guessed it! "Uhmmmmm...honestly, I have no idea". Ok.... It's one thing to not know what you serve and here's a tip to all wait people - YOU SHOULD!, but it's another to simply say you have no idea and not offer to get the information for the customer. It was so incredibly off-putting to see her bumble around, stammer, and do the absolute bare minimum that I didn't even want to leave a tip. I did solely for the food and it's unfortunate that the wait staff sees a dime of it. Harsh? Sure, but figure out how to do your job and take pride in it.

I can't believe this is the first time I have been here I drove past it 1000 times. My friends and I ordered the vegetarian plate as an appetizer and it came with spanakopita, hummus, pita, stuffed grape leaves, and falafel. Every bit of this dish was delicious and I could've made a meal out of the hummus and pita. For my meal I chose the falafel pita wrap and fries. It was fresh, tasty, and filling. I also sampled my friends bowl of soup she chose for lunch which was a lemon chicken soup that I cannot wait to get next time I'm there and my other friend had the marinated chicken kebabs I sampled them also and they were mouthwatering good. I can't wait to go back again!
(5)Leslie D.
Excellent food. Warm pita bread when you sit down. The flaming cheese is amazing, a bit to much lemon juice for my taste, but good nonetheless. The jumbo shrimp were juicy and flavorful. The moussaka was like a beef pillow of goodness. Everything just tasted fresh. Wait staff were attentive and always on top of everything.
(4)Peyton W.
The pita bread is delicious! The lamb is amazing! I'd give this place five stars, but I didn't know it was BYOB, so I had to stick with water. I just wanted some wine!!! Haha
(4)Kimberly G.
Pleasantly surprised with how DELISH this place is. It's in an old house so we saw kids in soccer uniforms to couples on dates. There was even a guy on a saxophone. We were tempted to dance! I ordered the grilled lamb and wow it was cooked to perfection - medium rare. The rice was perfect. I had THE freshest Greek salad I've had in a long time. The only negative is that the owners could stand to be a little more friendly - never saw them smile once. However, our server was really great. We will be back!
(4)Bill K.
Cafe Medi is incredible! Fantastic food and hilarious servers! You won't be disappointed.
(5)Jeff S.
My wife and I had heard many good things about Cafe Medi, so last Sunday after church we dropped in for lunch. We can't wait to join them for dinner sometime soon! My wife enjoyed her Greek salad. I tried the tomato basil soup for my appetizer and it was very good, with just the right amount of basil to define the flavor. For my entree I ordered the Pastisio - a Greek style lasagna layered with beef, Béchamel (white cream sauce) and marinara sauce. It was absolutely delicious. We definitely plan to join them for dinner sometime soon. Note that Cafe Medi is BYOB - fine by me. I will update my review soon!
(4)Gary M.
Having eaten very little Greek food, what we had was good, started with the Babaghanoosh, then I had the Gyro dinner and my wife had the Souvlaki Beef, with a dessert of Galaktoboureko, all was good but nothing I would go back for. The service was OUTSTANDING. If you want to try Greek food and know very little about it, the servers are more than willing to help.
(3)Niels H.
Awesome local Mediterranean food! The fried cheese is phenomenal. OPA!!! The service was great and everyone was very friendly. It's also BYOB which I will definitely be doing next time. Highly recommend!!!
(5)Johnny P.
Solid food. Nothing really stood out on the menu or taste wise. Decent prices for decent food.

This location is very cute - a renovated old house in the old area of Keller makes for a charming atmosphere. The interior is a little discordant with the funky blue exterior - they clearly aimed to look upscale, but it falls a little short. I've only been for lunch and am a sucker for their falafel pitas. Even better, they'll swap out the side of fries for hummus which you can enjoy with the delicious complementary pita bread they serve. They have the same menu as the Hurst location. I haven't done a comparison of dishes, but imagine you can expect the same quality of food here. Lunch hours tend to be slow here, so service is typically fast and friendly. They are closed on Mondays, which I learned the hard way, and also close between lunch and dinner, so be sure to check the hours before heading out there.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. We've passed this place multiple times and never gone in. My mom wanted Greek food for her b-day, and I came on Yelp and found this place. I'm so glad we went in. Soooo delicious. Their chicken Shawerma pita was great, as well as the appetizer we got. I don't remember the name, but it had hummus/tahini/and tzatziki that were perfect to dip the warm pita triangles they serve you. We'll be going back this weekend!
(4)Michele K.
I absolutely love this place. The food is very authentic and they give you so much! It is also BYOB so you don't break the bank. If you are in Keller, this is a must.
(5)Hilary B.
I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. The falafels are simply the best. I didn't know they opened another location in Keller, that's all it took for me to try this place. So glad I did. Servers are friendly and food was excellent.

We are big "Keep It in Keller" fans so we were excited to try out this new Greek restaurant... and we are glad we did!! If you know me, I don't throw out 5 stars that easily but this place is worth it! Here is what we had: Lamb Shank which practically fell off the bone with a savory marinara sauce with chunks of fresh tomatoes. Served with a side if what I believe was basmati rice and fresh green beans with slivers of garlic which was very good. Tilapia with crab sauce was on the specials board, so it is the same as the tilapia on the menu except with a different sauce. The fish was fresh and flaky and the sauce was an aromatic wonderful experience that was not fishy at all like most crab sauces can be. I was very impressed. Moussaka is a dish I had not had (done right) in years and this one was AMAZING. I felt like the food critic on Ratatouille taken back to when I was a young child in a cafe in New York eating the delectable dish. The bananas foster ice cream cake... there are no words for the flavors in this interesting dessert. Its is simply great, but huge... so you should probably share it with someone! If you are looking for authentic Greek cuisine, this is the place for you to try!
(5)Carter W.
A go to spot for good food in Keller. I am always so impressed everytime I come with my service and absolutely love the AMAZING medi food. I feel like I almost didn't want to leave a review because I don't want others to find my favorite place!
(5)Steve V.
This is a great place for groups. They do take reservations if your group is big enough. They have room inside for groups down the middle of the restaurant as the sides are all booths. There is also room outside. We sat outside and was told that was all that was available when I called the day of to make a reservation. At first I was worried about the hookah smoke, but they said it was rare that they have people doing hookah and they were correct, it did not affect us one bit. This place is BYO so we rolled in our cooler full of adult beverages. The ood was great. we started with some calamari (pretty standard) and some saganaki (Opa!) That was excellent and we got a few of those. It came out quick, too. For my meal, I had the Souvlaki Beef which was a nice piece of beef cooked to perfection. The meal came with a soup or salad. I had originally wanted to lemon rice soup but then once I saw others' cream of mushroom soup, I switch to that. They brought me both since I could not decide. Service was great, parking is easy, I just wish it wasn't so far away!
(4)Heidi M.
Nice atmosphere, clean, good service and wonderful food with good size portions! This will be a new go to spot for us!
(4)Bill Y.
Reluctant to share how great Cafe Medi is , because we think of it as our special secret restaurant. We always seem to get the privacy we need in a very cool place. I never tried much Greek before Cafe Medi, now I'm hooked. Very good food with with a lot to choose from. Excellence in Keller...
(5)Shujat K.
The folks at Cafe Medi consistently provide us with great food and service! They know me by name and they treat you like family. Food is always fresh and hot consistent and has great flavor.
(5)Patty W.
Now this is Greek food and what a great service Enjoyed everything there is nothing I can complain about Dankeschoen I will be stopping by for more soon

First time to the new location last night. Love the original Hurst location and this one is just as good. The same menu in a cozy dining space. I like the open kitchen at the original but this place was very good. Service was exceptional and really enjoyed my dinner. I had the half roasted chicken, which was deboned. It takes 15-20 minutes but is well worth the wait. Very moist and great spices. We also shared the hummus and babaganoush appetizers. Good sized portions and very fresh, along with the baskets of warm pita brea. Also love that this is a BYO. Look forward to trying the patio when the weather is nicer!
(4)Chris G.
Vegetable appetizer is awesome Gyro is huge and really good Mixed grill was tender and a lot of food. I love this place!!!!!
(5)David P.
Ordered to go last night from the new Cafe Medi in Keller. Having eaten at the Cafe Medi in Colleyville on several occasions (and loving it), I was familiar with the menu. Tried the Charbroiled Chicken and the Pastitsio. Also tried the hummus. The to-go order came well packaged, cold foods packaged seperate from hot dishes, and extra Pita as promised by the person taking the phone order. Food arrived home hot, perfectly cooked, and none the worse for the travel! Preparation time was not excessive, and it was ready at the time I was told it would be...nice job!!! Chicken was excellent, but the Pastitsio was the hit of the evening!!! Love the spice and texture. Not over cooked, tender, and delicious. Hummus also was excellent! Although I took food to go, the inside of Cafe Medi Keller is quaint and inviting! I do look forward to dining at Cafe Medi very soon!!! The fact that it is BYOB is an added plus!!! A nice Pinot Noir would go excellent with the dishes from last evening!!! Welcome to Keller Cafe Medi!!!!
(5)Gayla J.
Love this place!! Used to live by the other location so very happy when spot opened up. Best hummus and babaganoush.(sp?). Amazing lemon soup. Very authentic. Best Mediterranean spot around, including Southlake and grapevine. Finally Keller has a foodie gem....bring a bottle of wine as it's BYOB!!
(5)Alison S.
The best food period. If I can't figure out how to make it in my kitchen, and have to venture out to get it, Cafe Medi is my favorite. Their staff are friendly, service is great AND the food is fantastic. Thanks to Allison for help with a take out order today!
(5)Sergio O.
This is our go to Mediterranean restaurant . Their sampler platter is exceptional and more than feeling for two people. They're mix grill is to die for. Would highly recommend this place, if you're looking for Mediterranean food
(5)John P.
Great to have a mediterranean restaurant here in old town Keller. I even noticed some Syrian and Turkish items on the menu. The food was good, the ambiance was classic, nice place to have a wedding rehearsal (not that I'm having one anytime soon!). Food portions were generous and wait staff were super nice! I don't have to drive to downtown Fort Worth or Dallas for my mediterranean fix anymore!
(4)Natacha M.
Staff was friendly. I went alone. Staff was noticebly friendlier to groups by explaining the menu etc. On a Friday evening they had a gentleman who was singing and playing saxophone. Nice ambiance. Hummus and pita was good. Mixed grill was flavorful and plenty of food. Will definately visit again.
(4)Sarah Z.
Food is great, the location is nice! Prices seem a bit high for regular lunchtime, but the food is worth not having to drive far.
(4)J M.
While visiting family in Keller, we wanted to try something different. My daughter found this place so we decided to give it a try. I am super glad we did! I had the Moussaka - i kind of Greek lasagna, only completely different, and with eggplant. It was absolutely great! My wife had the Souvliaki chicken and my daughter the Shawerma Combo. BOth dishes were also wonderful. The chicken was perfectly cooked - tender and not to dry. The seasoning of each was unique and delicious. Each dish was served with rice. The rice was a long grain rice, NOT sticky, and cooked perfectly. It reminded me of the basmati rice served with Indian food. The waitress was helpful with suggestions and service was good. To finish the evening, we had the Baklava for desert. The bread was flakey and the filling / syrup delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant - can't wait to eat there again!
(5)Debra A.
Amazing food. I loved every single bite. The falafel was melt in your mouth. Pita bread was homemade and hot.
(5)Ben C.
Best greek restaurant i have ever been too. The hummus is outstanding! Everything we had here was top knotch.
(5)Cristina S.
Went again recently and the food seemed better than the last time! My chicken dish was incredibly tender and the appetizers we enjoyed were fantastic. The service could not have been better - really attentive which was great as it was extremely crowded. That is a huge plus in my mind. Also, discovered they have a lovely back patio which I know I will enjoy this spring / summer!
(4)Patricia E.
Took a friend who had never been - started with baba ganoush, then she had the pastitsio on my recommendation, and I had the special, stuffed cabbage. As usual, portions were MORE than ample and food was fresh. Only drawback this visit is our waiter was not very attentive, not the norm. Food took a bit longer, but tasted fresh, so worth the wait.
(5)J P.
Hands down one of the best places in town to eat. Food is amazing, staff is wonderful. Be hungry, portions are huge. Being Greek, I am very critical of Mediterranean food. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Ryan M.
Reasonably fast service and large portion sizes. Split my entrée with my wife and we had plenty plus the hummus appetizer, which was really good. Location is right in the heart of Old Town Keller. Good stuff - great date night start off location if you plan on staying near Keller.
(4)Tracy S.
AMAZING! Been driving to Colleyville location for years. Food is fantastic. Love the tenderloin. Meat is tender, great seasoning and huge portions. My daughter always get the Pastisstio, which she call Greek lasange. Excited for cooler weather to enjoy the patio.
(5)David V.
One of my favorite restaurants. This new Keller location makes the drive so much shorter. I hope they succeed as this place seems kind of hidden. I had the gyro pita wrap and tzaziki appetizer. I enjoyed both. I highly reccommend. I've tried the hummus as well, very delicious.
(5)Tony D.
I love this place! Not only for it being the only Hookah place in the area, but the food has always been so tasty. I almost ate my fingers off! Definitely recommend this place for everyone. Dont let the outside fool you.
(5)Wicked A.
I was super excited for this experience after hearing great things about the original location! We arrived for a weekday lunch. It was fairly busy. We were seated at a booth that was against a back wall. We weren't even all seated when we noticed an extremely pungent odor. I do not exaggerate. This smell was strong enough that we decided we would not be able to consume food at the table. We noticed the table was against and sharing a wall with the restrooms. We moved..however the smell as never 100% completely absent : { We perused our menus and were surprised by some of the offerings and very honestly: the prices for lunch hour. Very recently we had a second visit to a Greek restaurant on 7th (ft worth) with an extremely polished decor - and the dinner prices are comparable to the lunch here at Medi. I wasn't impressed by all the upcharges and add ons, substitute charges. We ordered some basics- chicken dishes and lamb. As everyone else has stated: green beans are canned. For the $$- not what is expected. Just to follow up regarding their 'odor issue' : the restroom was worrisome at best. The commode had some strange contraption attached to it. There were at least three devices in the (single) bathroom that provided deodorizing spray on demand. (!!!) There was also an extra table for the dining room INSIDE the bathroom. I visited on the way out. For me, masking or band-aiding issues is a problem. If you cannot make repairs properly or have the dignity to care about it-- then I will have the dignity to stay away from dining here.
(1)Steve M.
Nice to get a little variety in the neighborhood without the drive. Came in for lunch and was seated quickly, though service was a little slow. There was a big party of very chatty ladies coming in at various times. Typical Greek fare so I had to get my gyros going. I was looking for something small in addition to meal so asked friendly person going by who suggested Baba ghanoush. I appreciate how he offered half order since portion was big so I tried. Pita bread was nice and warm and they made regular rounds to refill my tea glass. Prices very reasonable and nothing super expensive on menu (though I did not try any of the fish on the menu board). I really liked their side salad and the gryos meat was good. Will definitely return.
(4)Stephen L.
Walking up to café medi can be a bit underwhelming with the appearance of a remodeled old house and a bland ramp. BUT...once inside it is cute and private environment that suits well to groups of friends or those out on dates. The food is delicious and the service is pretty good. The biggest thing for me is the food, delicious and inexpensive. Cooked to perfection, delicious, and makes me feel like I stepped out of Texas and into my big fat Greek wedding. My wife and I love this place. Also fyi it is byob.
(5)Arline R.
Love this place in Colleyville too. We love Mediterranean food! Although Greek. Isn't our favorite, we enjoy their food and most of the food is really fresh. I would recommend it for the food and the ambiance. Nice place and nice people. I'll eat here again and recommend it. Pretty good!
(4)Castillo F.
Everything was great!!! I have had my share of Mediterranean food in every city I have visited and I have to quote my husband "a hidden gem!!"
(5)Mary N.
Dont know how the people are rating this place. Unfortunately my husband wanted to give the place a shot.I would have left after entering the front door.It was not clean...the walls were dirty just as you enter. So we sit down..get soda in dirty/glass, like old food stuck to it ...get a dirty knife.Looking to my left is a broken chair. Food was terrible, I did not eat, told the waiter it was too much...as my husband does not like complaints. My husband gave them a good shot as he even had desert. The one star was for the waiter that was friendly. UG, we will not be back.
(1)Samantha S.
My mom & I decided to do our birthday lunches here, and it was a great choice. We've been frequenters of the Colleyville location for a couple years, but their new location is incredibly convenient for those in the Keller area. The food was fresh and tasty, and the service was friendly and fast. We went in at lunch time on a Saturday, and the restaurant was comfortably full, without a wait. Our group of 5 ordered from the lunch menu, and shared the Mousaka, Gyro, Kefta, and Shawerma. All were delicious, and reasonably portioned for around $10 each. We got complimentary desserts for our birthdays (and a couple more for the table, since we were not sharing!) and sampled the Lemoncello Mascarpone Mousse Cake, Bananas Foster Ice Cream Cake, Tiramisu, and Galaktoboureko, all of which were tasty and worth the calories. For those looking for a traditional Mediterranean dessert, the Galaktoboureko was delicious, but our entire party regretted not ordering the Bananas Foster Ice Cream Cake, which was sublime. The Lemoncello Marscarpone Mousse Cake was tart and flavorful, but would have been better paired with a romantic evening and an espresso.
(4)Dennis O.
Food is out of this world. Prices are great. Service is top notch. They give you tons of food at a very reasonable price. Chicken Shawarma is different, but wonderful. Vegetarian plate is a must.
(5)Sarah S.
Wow! I came in to have a quick lunch by myself. I ordered the souvlaki lamb with the fattoush salad, green beans, and babaghanoosh. The salad was the least favorite part of the meal. It was good but not great. Next time I will get the tabouli for sure!!! The green beans were the best I've ever had! Sorry mom! Babaghanoosh was excited served with warm soft pitas! The lamb was cooked to medium perfection!! The service was great too! Can't wait to come back!!!
(5)Kyle R.
If you're looking for shawarma after you've conquered aliens and saved the world, this is the place. Delicious food, fast service, low prices.
(5)David H.
Let me be completely honest here. This place is a kitchen nightmare. I went after reading the great reviews and boy was I shocked. First of all, the whole place is filthy. When walking on the floors you can hear the sticky floor which has obviously not been cleaned in a very long time. The decor is abysmal and what I mean is dirty, dirty, dirty! Then there is the food...OMG...so incredibly horrible. I seriously think all the good reviews are from family members. The rice is a soggy mess, the meat was rank and the veggies were slop. Please, please, please do not eat here. I walked past the kitchen and it was just filthy. If you still don't believe me, go ahead and go, but as you step inside think about what I have told you, look around with your own eyes, and then run away as fast as you can. This is a prime candidate for Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares!!!
(1)david w.
I was disappointed. I had read so many great reviews. I started with the fava beans. They were not favas. We ordered the lamb chops and souvlaki. It was ok. Not bad. Not great. Can't say we will return.
(1)Bethany K.
This was one of our favorite places to go. Food was amazing, and the servers were great. Each time we go the service gets worse and worse. It takes longer to have our order taken, or to get our food. These were not at times when they were particularly busy. There seems to have been a huge turnover. Tonight we went, and were seated, and saw not one server come to our table. We watched others be seated and their orders were taken, and still we sat. We finally walked, and were thanked profusely on out way through the restaurant for coming in!!
(1)Martin H.
Our family have been here several times and it's always superb, most recent visit was for lunch with our kids, we had the vegetarian plate and it was delicious, perfect falafel and dolmades. Excellent friendly service too, highly recommended, oh and they have a superb changing table for the baby, even in the men's room!
(5)Bonnie S.
This place is awesome! Have been several times. It's a must try!! You will not be disappointed. The lamb chops they have as a special is to die for!!!
(5)Marisol D.
We had diner there tonight. A few moments before our food arrived, the power went out. Dinner was fine. We ordered tiramisu when we finished and to our surprise, it was FROZEN SOLID. As I brought this up to the waiters attention, he just apologized and said that since the power was out they weren't able to put it in the microwave to thaw it out. So disappointed. Tiramisu is so easy and quick to make. If you are buying that frozen, what else are you buying frozen and not making yourselves?? Shame on you Cafe Medi
(2)R S.
Love Medi. We were thrilled that they opened a Keller location. The food is just as good as the Colleyville store, but the atmosphere is MUCH better in Keller. My friends and family dine here often.
(5)Kelly L.
I am a big Greek food fanatic, and this place was awesome! I went with my dad, who travels all over the world, and he was a big fan also! We had the saganaki to start. They bring it out and set it on fire in front of you which was a cool affect. Even better taste. I went with a regular gyro, and couldn't even eat half of it, it was so big! Thanks for a great meal, I'll be back.
(4)Diane T.
Me and the Hubs had lunch here this past Saturday. It was such a dazzling day we just had to eat outdoors. I remembered reading that this Café Medi location has a patio, so we headed on over. When we got there, I was amazed at how the owners have transformed this location. The indoor dining area is super-nice and classy. It's a MAJOR change from the restaurant that was here before. Plus they added a very nice and fairly large patio and garden out back (maybe 15-20 tables outside?). With an umbrella to block the sun, it was extremely pleasant. After perusing the menu, we decided to share the Vegetarian Plate ($10.95 - Hummus, Falafel, Tzatziki, Dolmas, Babaghanoosh and Spanakopita and pita) and we each also had a salad. I had the Fattoosh ($6.95) and the Hubs had the Greek Salad ($7.95). This was a lot of food, but reasonably light since it was meatless. Everything was really tasty. I'm not a big fan of falafel, but these were good, too. The salads were fresh and tangy with the lemon juice in the dressing. I guess my only minor critique of the meal is that I wouldn't have minded a bit more garlic in the three dips on the Vegetarian Plate. Our server was friendly and efficient. Refills were tended to in a timely manner and he checked to see if we needed more pita. All-in-all, it was a delightful meal on a very delightful day. I'm looking forward to going back and trying their other offerings. (One small note I might make to the management is about your hours on Saturday. As with Tuesday thru Friday, lunch is from 11-2:30, then dinner from 5-10. You might want to think about staying open between 2:30 and 5 like your web site shows for Sunday. As we were leaving your restaurant on Saturday at about 2:35, another couple pulled up in front of the restaurant, saw the closed sign in the window and left. People are out and about on the weekends and might want a late lunch. Just sayin...)

Went to try it out based on a friends recommendation. So glad I did! The food was fabulous and very beautifully presented. The kids menu had great options which were really tasty too. In the end the whole family was happy!

The hubby and I went there for lunch and were pleasantly surprised...Can't wait to go again!! Very very good!! I had the mixed grill and enjoyed all of it. Service was friendly but slow, so don't go in a rush. A must try!!

We went there with high expectations based on the reviews. I was not impressed with the food. The falafel were not hot and not crisp. The Hummus was good. The service was OK. I went to their other location and the food was much better.

I am so glad Cafe Medi came to Keller. It is wonderful, food is amaazing, staff is friendly and attentive, and the entertainment is nice. I love this place. Gourmet chefs without the gourmet price. We eat there at least once a week.

Glad there is a REAL Greek restaurant in Keller. I stopped there on my way home from Central Market . Ordered take out. I had the Hummus and Pastitsio entree . It came with salad or soup I had the Lentil soup .. It was all" Woohoo" I love lentil soup and theirs was even better than mine :) I also got the Tiramisu yummy. Next time I will dine in. It is a very pretty restaurant and no loud blaring music like some places I won't mention :)

We ate here on a Friday night and couldn't have been happier. The atmosphere was perfect after a long workweek. A guitarist was playing and singing an eclectic mix of rock tunes from the 60s to present day, with a volume level that still allowed for dinner conversation as well as enjoyment of the music. The meal was served promptly. I had the chicken schwarma, which was delicious with and without the garlic sauce, which was served on the side. My husband had the souvlaki beef and it was expertly seasoned. The portion sizes were just enough to leave a little on the plate, but our stomachs full. We will definitely go back, hopefully the guitarist is there again.

I didn't really think this place was that great. I wouldn't go back and neither would my dad and his friend who went with me. The food was fine but definitely that's it. The service was ok but not the best either. They didn't really come around enough for us to ask for anything we might have wanted with our food. Their pita bread, well actually all of the bread, was TERRIBLE. It didn't seem cooked all the way and was kind of rubbery and stretchy, and completely bland and tasteless. They only had one option of baklava which kind of surprised me for a mediterranean restaurant. We ordered two of them and they were awful. They tasted really old and the phyllo dough was stiff and gross. Sorry but I didn't think this place was very good.

We have been fans of the Hurst location for many years and were elated when they opened a second location in Old Town Keller. I recently took my parents here for a birthday dinner for my Dad. Four of us shared the Medi Combo, which the menu says serves 2, but arrives on an enormous platter. We ordered lemon rice soup for everyone, babaghanoosh as an appetizer and lemoncello mouse cake for dessert along with Turkish coffee. We brought a couple bottles of our wine, which they happily opened and provided glasses. My parents are not very adventurous and had never before tried Mediterranean food. I knew they would love Cafe Medi. The flavors are rich and complex, but extremely delicious. They said it was one of the best meals they have ever had. On top of amazing food, we always receive top notch service. It is family run and they care about their customers and are eager to please. We have only eaten inside, but now that the weather is nice, we will be enjoying the nice patio outside. This establishment is truly a culinary experience not to be missed.

Nice ambience and food and service. Great dips and Lemon rice. Good value too

3rd visit to CM. The food continues to excel and I give it 4 stars! My comment here refers to the back patio which is also fantastic.... but, I will say that the ownership needs to sound proof or move the AC units to the side of the building and work with the sound system a bit. It was difficult to converse with our party of six from one end of the table to the other. Still excellent!

This place is excellent. The lemon and rice soup is a definite must try and the lamb shank was cooked to perfection. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves mediterranean food no matter where you live. My husband and I have added this place to our date night list! Oh and you gotta love a place that is BYOB

Great Greek food, friendly service, nice outdoor dining, and good live music. It's too bad we don't live in Keller any longer - we would definitely be regulars.

Love it!! Food awesome. Service awesome. Ambience awesome. Hurst location gets knocked down 1 star due to location/ambience. Keller location much more inviting. BYOB huge plus! Didn't get to try the hookah as it was a cold night. Will be back!

Finally, at long last, quality gyros close to home! We used to trek all the way to Colleyville to satisfy our cravings for Cafe Medi, and now the new location lives up to the precedent of its predecessor. Can't wait for warmer weather to enjoy the patio area, as olive Street in Keller is a nice place to eat outside. As far as the food, it's absolutely identical to the original. The shawarma and gyro wraps are still the most delicious menu options, and a great deal at $8 for the pita wrap with fries. My wife and I split one of each so we get a half, in addition to their fantastic tzatziki and garlic sauces. Simply fantastic.

he food was good and consistent with their other location. Could be more artfully presented. Please get rid of the canned green beans. Nicely decorated interior. Prompt friendly service

Fantastc food and service. We've just tried this location and it's as good as the original. So glad they've arrived in Keller. Don't forget the flaming cheese

Just ate here for the first time yesterday and it was FANTASTIC!! We used to drive an hour to Prince Lebanese in Arlington to get spectacular Greek dishes and now we actually have it here at home! The hummus was to die for, as was the spanakopita, falafel, and chicken shawarma pita. The service was excellent, too! I had my 14 month old son in tow and he was melting down, so I took him outside to walk around while my family waited at our table. The server noticed and brought the kids meal out early and even came to get me on the patio, telling me that "nuggets were served"! :-) It was incredibly nice of him and a huge help! We will be back often! SO GREAT!

Absolutely love this place! We started off going to the original Cafe Medi in Hurst but have switched over to the new one. The patio has a very romantic atmosphere. Service is outstanding. All the servers are incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is awesome. I recommend the snapper and the flaming cheese (saginaki?) appetizer. We always finish off with their flavorful hookah as well. The fact that it's byob make a for a very enjoyable and affordable Friday evening date night if you bring your own bottle of wine. Can't get enough of this place!

One word-perfection. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning to Cafe Medi again.

My husband and I heard about this place through friends and decided to give it a try.. We've been there 3 times already! Food is fantastic and service is quick.. I can't wait for the holidays to take my in-laws and parents who live out of state, I'm positive they will enjoy it as much as we did! We live in south Arlington but still drive out there for my favorite Gyro and lemon rice soup, my hubby's favorite plate is the Lamb Shanks. Both the hummus and the falafel are the best we've had in Texas! We have been to many Mediterranean restaurants, Cafe Medi surely surpasses them all, the prices are reasonable and the portions they serve are generous. I rated this place 5 starts because I felt the family owned vibe there, unlike other places that say they are family owned and operated when their not.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants ever tried. We moved to the area a year ago from a large metropolitan area with a number of really excellant Mediterranean restaurants. We tried Medi Cafe and were thrilled that their food exceeds those of a larger City. The Lemon rice soup is an absolute must! The Chicken Schwarma is always served hot and really flavorful. The wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly and attentive (not intrusive). If you haven't been you must go!

Couldn't wait to try this new Keller restaurant and left very full and happy! We have never been to the Colleyville location since we are new to the area. The restaurant interior was OK - great pictures, very quaint but the walls should be whitewashed, the interior wall treatment looks dirty. Also not a fan of the large sheets of black plastic on the, although I understand why they went this direction (easy to clean) it is not particularly "classy." Food: my husband had the lamb shank and enjoyed it thoroughly, although he thought it was a bit small. He HATED the canned green beans, said he would ask for substitution next time. He LOVED the lemon rice soup and I stole some and thought it was fab! I went for the Kebbeh and an appetizer portion of the veggie plate of dips with spanakopita and dolmas. Both were very good - unfortunately the falafel was stone cold in the middle like they were premade and just stuck on the plate, which was disappointing. The babaganoush was FABULOUS, I could have just eaten that and been happy. As we left I stuck my head outside the back door and was shocked at the gorgeous patio - it was much too hot to sit out them during the day but as autumn approaches I can just imagine spending many evenings out there eating and drinking and enjoying the beautiful space. We will return

My new favorite restaurant in Keller. My family and I always went to the one in Colleyville. I actually like this one better. They did a great job with the remodel and patio. Enjoy not being next to a busy highway. The food is out of this world!! My favorite is the Veggie Plate and the Kabobs with rice and beans. My daughters love the lemon rice soup. Don't forget to ask for cabbage rolls!!
(5)Jenny B.
I love the new location! The food is as terrific as the Grapevine Hwy location. The dining room is bigger, and the patio is huge! Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Keller, and BYOB makes it that much better!

Great food. Great service. Reasonable prices. It's nice to have a Mediterranean restaurant in town. Chicken Shwerama was awesome. Rice cooked to perfection. Hummus could use a little more lemon juice.
