The food here is usually acceptable - I have gotten a number of things here (enchiladas, crispy tacos, burritos, etc.), and have found that their fajita wrap is probably the best thing on the menu in my opinion. The bigger issue here is that 7 Salsas is one of the many places in DFW that I've noticed serves their salsa warm, which is completely ridiculous. It makes it taste like a pasta / tomato sauce, and I feel, removes the unique tastes of the jalapeno, onion & cilantro. Also, the guacamole isn't all that great (and the amount that you receive if ordering it separately is disappointing). Don't get me wrong, I think their margaritas are solid, the chips are hot, crispy and nicely salted, but otherwise the food & salsa and negatives in my book. I'll absolutely be back here for a happy hour or two, but usually just eating elsewhere.

Came here for drinks after dinner somewhere else. The mojito was top notch. The bartender was extremely accommodating with our request to have all three big screen TVs showing a different sporting event on each. =) and her serving manner with us and the others at the bar was friendly, attentive and genuine. Will definitely come back for another round soon.

I love this place. Wow, free margarita tonight!

Wow, I must say that many of the lower rated Yelp reviews really spot on! We just left after meeting friends for dinner and this dining experience was really kind of sad (except the conversation, which was awesome) So, initially our service started as quite attentive. However, it seemed quickly derailed when we were not interested in ordering appetizers nor a round of cocktails. I did try a peach margarita, however, based on your Yelp recommendations and I am glad I did because it was easily the highlight of my meal. My wife and I shared the Parrillada platter, which consisted of a variety of burnt fajitas (steak, chicken, and shrimp) and the sorriest queso fundido that I have ever seen. The ramekin it came in was so small that the cheese readily burnt to a crisp shortly after it was set on fire. There was no dipping to be had in that solid puck of goo. Our friends' meals seemed fairly mediocre. As if that wasn't bad enoughy, the chicken mango salad came out minus fruit the first time and then without poultry the second. When we tried to get out waiter's attention the second time, he looked at the table and immediately turned around to watch the US Open results on the TV. He only came back when summoned by my ex-bouncer friend. Once he had finally delivered the correct salad, he went into witness protection for the remainder of the evening. The last thing that I noticed was that the waiter was not particularly interested in addressing the women in our group. He spoke specifically to the men. I can't absolutely say that was purposeful but it did leave a bad impression, one that solidified our desire to never return. This was a one star dinner but I added an additional one for the good margarita, so if you dine here hang at the bar an dhave chips and cocktails only.

Good salsa and chips. No cheese flavor in the dip cheese - taste like out of a can... Serving margaritas in plastic cups, and beer served directly in the can without offering a glass it is a no- no for me... Several waitresses coming at our table one after another asking the same questions was really confusing and annoying... Hope they improve their service and food because the location is nice...

I love 7 salsas, have for many years. The tableside Guac is to die for and made to order how you like it! i never understood why people write reviews stating what ingredient they did not like in a plate... i can assure you alot of the assumptions of what the corn or the queso consist of are absolutly not how it is made. :)

Great salsa especially the Friday salsa. Has a little something to it that you just can't explain but really like. Their regular salsa is warmed up which is different and so tasty. Table side guacamole is a fun thing to order but I felt it could have been more flavorful. I thought the same thing about the fish tacos. I could have made them better myself at home. The rice with the meal is plain which is too bad. Veggies that randomly come on the side taste like they have cinnamon on them which is awesome. Margaritas really not that special, frozen or on the rocks.

THE GOOD: The SALSA is actually pretty good. It was served temperature warm, which I'm not a huge fan of, but it still had a decent kick to it. THE BAD: The QUESO was cream of chicken. Several other Mexican restaurants in the area have been trying this little trick. It's cheaper, and with a little food coloring it looks just like velveeta. THE UGLY: The POLLO POBLANO was down right awful. The sauce was a pastel green. It was served with corn mixed with cottage cheese, which vaguely reminded me of some atrocious fruit and jello salads I've choked down in the past. I'd like to present this dish with the PORCELAIN AWARD! (I'll let you figure out why) I am still amazed at how busy this place can get. I'm starting to think that half the population of Valley Ranch doesn't have tongues.

The food is good. The tableside guacamole is TO. DIE. FOR. The salsa is served warm and will make your mouth water for sure! I really love the tortilla soup. They bring out all the goodies in a bowl and then pour the broth over it once they bring it to the table so it doesn't get soggy. Pretty cool right?! The enchiladas are yummy, and the fried ice cream is tasty too! Go hungry, you won't be disappointed! The customer service leaves a little to be desired, but the guacamole is so good you'll forgive them.

I usually come here for lunch with my co workers as they like this place. It's crowded, but not to the point where you have to wait more than 5 minutes. The service is good, and you are taken care of. The lunch menu is reasonably priced. I've ordered the combo, chimichonga, and quesdilla's. They give you alot of food with endless chips and salsa. The salsa is average, nothing special. The quality of food is bleh. It will fill you up and give you food coma for the rest of the afternoon. It's okay for what it's worth, but I don't really crave this place. There are better quality food restaurants out there.

Out of all the possible places in the restaurant, we got sat next to the noisiest Margarita machine ever. The service was haphazard and inconsiderate. The food looked like it was served from a cafeteria. Way too many better options in the area.

The food is excellent as is the salsa! The price is right for an evening out with friends or significant other. The atmosphere is good too; not too crowded our loud. Margaritas are good, not great.

A big group from my office went to 7 Salsas for lunch last Friday. We were seated quickly (even with a table of 10+) and the chips and salsa came right away. They only provided us with lunch menus, and I would have liked to see the regular menu as well. For as busy as the place was, everything seemed quick and efficient. Everyone was happy with their food.. except for me. Which was only because half of my chicken quesadillas were made with beef. I think another guy in our party ordered them that way and somehow we both ended up with them. They also had refried beans in them, which I am not a fan of. So I only ate the half with chicken and got 50% off. He took care of the (separated) checks quickly, which never happens. Overall I was pretty impressed. This is definitely a spot to try if you are in the area. Oh- I better mention- a guy at another table was having a birthday. The staff sang and put a huge sombrero on him. Then they smeared guacamole (I think) all over his face. He did not look pleased. And trust me, my reaction would be much worse if they did that to me.

Yes, there are 7 salsas, you may have to ask for them (only in the evening though?). Additionally, there's a salsa only served on Fridays. Good local atmosphere, easy going. Good food, good service. More authentic than some other local Mexican food joints. Stop by, you will be glad you did.

I recently tried this restaurant for the second time and was again very disappointed. I use a wheelchair and upon arrival there was nobody to help me with the difficult front doors. Upon entering, there were no greeters to seat us. They were back in the back instead watching the World Cup. The margarita I ordered was so weak that I did not taste any alcohol and had to send it back. My burrito was supposed to come with queso but ended up having only less than 1/4 of the burrito covered in cheese. When I requested more, the server said they would charge me. Are you kidding me...the burrito is hardly covered as it is and then you want to charge me for extra?? Turns out they charged an extra $2 for a small small bowl of queso....completely ridiculous. I tried to voice my concerns to the owner and my concerns went on deaf ears. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR ITS SERVICE OR FOOD QUALITY. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE NICKLED AND DIMED FOR JUST AVERAGE TASTING MEXICAN FOOD THEN EAT HERE!

Good for a quick meal, reliable and straight forward. I've not really ever had a bad experience here, but the food is just OK. The service is OK, but again, nothing special. We go about once per month and leave satisfied. The prices are middle of the road and we never feel like we've been cheated.

Well, this is my 2nd visit in 2 months and came here on Cinco de Mayo. So, we came here for Brunch which I was surprised they had a great variety of foods to choose from. I was so disappointed that they did not have a Hispanic Band or some Mariachi's to set off the Cinco de Mayo Vibe :'( Instead it was an American type band and it did not even give us the Cinco de Mayo Feel...So, we Opted out and stayed inside rather than hanging out in the patio with the Band :'( Please next year for Cinco de Mayo have a Hispanic type band or some Mariahi's or heck even a DJ would have been great that could have played us some Vicente Fernandez, or Tex-Mex Tejano Songs. Anyways, The Food was right on point and it did not disappoint other than my Mom finding some little pieces of clear plastic in her Menudo 2 times. So, Thank God I stayed away from the Menudo. This will be my to go to place when I want to eat Great Brunch on Sundays. See ya soon again...Sorry, would have given you guys 5 stars...But, you guys did not get the other one because The Cinco de Mayo Vibe did not fit the Festive Day and also because my Mom had a mishap with the Menudo. See ya soon =D

It took me til almost the end of my meal to realize why the place was called 7 Salsas....yeah, it was a slow day for me. But talk about your tex mex spot. As usual, they offer you some chips and salsa to munch before you even order...and they kept this a'comin'. And yes, the 7 Salsas reference was towards the number of salsas they offer you at this time from your standard mild, to something I dare not even try because I'm just not a fan of food that makes my mouth burn. I ordered the tamales..because it just sounded good. And that they were. I particularly liked the rice and was getting full fast. I contribute that to the never ending chips and salsa, in addition to the super strong margaritas. I mean, super strong. When talking about service, they were quite memorable towards the end of the meal as my boss asked for an espresso. Mind you, it took them about 10 minutes to come back admitting that 1, they didn't know what this was...so therefore 2....they didn't have it. BUT, the manager (or maybe owner) felt so bad that he couldn't deliver on this request...that he went out to another restaurant and brought one back for my boss. Never in New York. I can definitely see why this place is known for their happy hour, but the food they serve is also pretty good. If I were to be brought back, I think I'd give the fajitas a try. Someone at the next table ordered them, and boy did they smell good.

went back for lunch yesterday. i still can't get used to the warm salsa. i like my salsa hot from a spicy perspective, but not hot from a temp perspective. i wish they had the option to order chilled salsa. they don't. the fajitas are EXCELLENT and the crunchy tacos were decent, too. I will be going back, despite the warm salsa. the concept is cool with the crunchy tacos. they take a soft corn tortilla, stuff it with whatever you order it with, fold it up and fry it. it ends up having a good texture, not too hard and very crunchy. i recommend trying those if you visit 7 salsas. also, the soup has a good flavor, too

This being the first time I have visited 7 Salsas, I wasn't quite sure why the parking lot was packed but the restaurant wasn't. Anyway they brought out some chips which were a little bland for my taste but much better with some salt added and 7 salsas which I only liked two of. I'm not one for abundantly spiced salsa however there was a green colored salsa that tasted like lime and also a strange almost chutney like salsa which had only a little bit of heat. As far as dinner, the hubby had beef fajita nachos and I had a Tex Mex dinner plate of which one beef enchilada and one chicken soft taco. The nachos weren't how we like it with all the toppings spread out, then cheese and sour cream. Instead they were one chip w/ cheese and toppings which doesn't scream nacho to me. As far as my meal goes, the beef enchilada was small but terrific and the chicken was tasty. I'm not sure we'll go back because there's so many other choices but as far as service, price and quality its not bad at all.

There are a handful of restaurants overlooking Valley Ranch off the 635 that call to me from time to time, guilting me into thinking I'm giving back to the community by eating their mediocre food. I've now been to the land of 7 Salsas a number of times, and my most recent experience was enough to make me put away my north Irving sombrero for good. Every restaurant in this area, good or bad, is absolutely packed at lunch time during the week, so we thought we would be safe by going for dinner on a Friday night. Turns out we were dead wrong. This place was absolutely packed, full of people who like to say "salsa". And also people who like to say "Where's my waiter?" and others who like to say "What?? You're out of silverware? How am I supposed to eat my food?" They were so understaffed that night that I literally got up from my table and asked a cook for some silverware, only to find out that there wasn't any left. Now, since the manager was reasonable enough to comp our meal, I would still be willing to give 7 Salsas another shot if the food we were able to eat wasn't so terrible. I seriously can't think of a place that serves worse Mexican food, and I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants. Flavorless and greasy, their fIautas were so hard I could barely bite into them without chipping my teeth. The beans and rice were about as bland as it gets. I seriously would prefer a Costco frozen taquito and grocery store bought taco sauce over what they put on my plate. There is, however, a diamond in the rough that keeps this place from wallowing in one star fire and brimstone. Their tortilla soup is really REALLY good. It's full of tasty avocado chunks, bits of chicken, crunchy strips of tortilla chips and a not-too-spicy broth that washes it all down easy. Get this takeout and you might actually like this place. Adios Siete Salsas! Que le vaya bien!!

While I was working one night me and the co-workers decided to order some take out, I had heard some people talk about 7 Salsas so we decided to give it a try. Let's just say we picked wrong! The service was bad, the food was really bad, and while I swore I would never go back I decided to give it another try and the second time wasn't much better. Now I'm sure you're thinking how could the service be bad if they ordered take out....Well let me tell you I asked for directions (basically I just asked if they were north or south of 635) just to make sure I knew where I was going and they didn't know. The next problem was we order extra salsas and we received the tiniest cup of salsas ever (it was definitely not in proportion to the big bag of chips we received). On to the food now I don't remember what the name of the dish was that I ordered but it was covered in the most disgusting sauce ever!!!!!!!! I scrapped most of it off but honestly it didn't help much. The second time we order from here I got the taco's al carbon which was better but not much. Anyways I have heard that the margarita's are good but I don't think I'll be going back ever. Good Luck 7 Salsas you suck!

I don't like to bash my local restaurants, however it seems everyone has already stated the obvious. This restaurant is good. nothing fancy, nothing wonderful, nothing outstanding. just good. I have not tried the margaritas, however went here last night. We had the tilapia alcapulco and i had the 3 enchilada meal. It was good, seriously. Service was very good, made sure we were happy and checked up on us a few times throughout the dinner. They have a buy 1 get 1 flan special, however these guys are TINY. I highly recommend christinas or glorias.... going to try out mi ranchero for live mariachi soon. However, if your in the mood for some mexican, this place ain't bad!

Initially this wasn't my dinner destination, but due to the place we were headed to having an extremely loud karaoke night, we decided to try this place. It was late and not so crowded. Usually things like that really scare me but I'm glad we still went inside and had dinner. Food was good and the service too. I had fajita salad and my friend had a chicken dinner plate. We both were really happy with our food. And I totally loved the chips and salsa there. Will go there again for sure.

My wife and I have been coming here about once a month for a while now. They have ok-priced beer and a nice outdoor seating area. They have the best chicken tacos and they make thier tortilla in house...you can request wheat tortillas if you want. The people are nice and the prices are better than other places in the area. Peace Out, MZ

We went there tonight and really weren't impressed. The salsa they serve is runny but okay. I asked about the other salsas, and they brought 6 small tasting cuts of "salsa" none of which really seemed appealing. One was very tasty but the others were just mediocre.

I've been to lunch at 7 Salsas countless times over the years, but never dinner. So, bear in mind that my review is based on a lunch experience. Recently, a friend from work and I have been ordering the guacamole made at the table and it is fantastic! The avocados are as if they have just been picked. And, we can specifically ask for more or less - or even none - of certain ingredients. It's a made-to-order starter that is always great. If you don't want to splurge on the guacamole, no worries. The chips and salsa are about the best I have ever had. And, they are seriously addicting. You just can't stop yourself! As I mentioned, I've only done lunch, so I get the basic Tex-Mex lunch special. But, I'm always very happy with it. Hard to go wrong with the lunch menu. In all the times I've been, I've never had bad service. Maybe some times are better than others, but nothing even remotely bad enough to remember let alone report. So, on the whole, service is great. For a lunch place with a good friend from work, it's the perfect spot that we thoroughly enjoy and seem to crave like crazy every few weeks or so. Enjoy!

I have been to this restaurant a few times now and have been quite pleased every time. The swirl margaritas are really good, as have been my entrees each visit. Ironically, the main salsa is a little weak, and I liked few of the other 6 varieties that they offered. But overall I've found it to be a very nice place and am happy to go there whenever I'm in town.

Somewhat forgettable, mediocre pseudo-Mexican food, pretty greasy. I didn't feel that the meat or the shrimp were the freshest or highest quality for the price. Service is adequate, and the drinks are strong. I don't think I'll be repeating the experience.

How'd I miss this place? - There's a little group of restaurants tucked away from the main road - you don't even see them when you drive by. But this one is worth a stop. - It's a non-descript location, but inside it has a cozy atmosphere. If you're looking for decent mexican food, this place is a solid choice. - We went on Cinqo de Mayo, which may have been a mistake; our waitress was really frazzled. She delievered us the wrong drinks but we kept them anyway - there was no chance we were getting the ones we ordered. - The food was pretty good. I had some random enchiladas I ordered. The tostada was excellent - difficult to eat, but always delicious! - The thing about restaurants that are in these strip-malls is that it's hard to tell what you're really walking into. If you're in the area and feel like mexican food, this is a solid choice.

The food was pretty mediocre and pricy. I just don't understand why they could charge so much for crappy food!!! I wouldn't even label the food as tex-mex. I don't see myself ever coming back here. They have a salsa bar but the sauces are forgettable. I orders the lunch combo of crispy enchilada and a mini chimi. It came with rice and beans. The beans was in liquid form. I haven't had any beans with that texture. It was runny!

  • John B.

I had the chicken fajitas here. Yuk. 4 strips of chicken and onions. No cheese. No guacamole. A ton of rice and beans. I asked for cheese and guacamole and they charged me $2.70. I told the waitress the fajitas were not good and she said "oh sorry". What a shame. I used to like this place.

The margaritas are good and the patio is great when the weather cooperates. The food is mediocre and I find myself mostly drinking and munching on chips and salsa. It's a good place to meet with friends after work. The staff is attentive and the bathrooms are clean!

I looked up this place on Yelp and thought I was in for a treat! My mom wanted to take my Grammy and Great Grandmother to eat lunch near my work place. Mistake. There were only 3 or 4 other tables there (it was a late lunch for us - about 1pm), and my family waited for over 5 minutes just to get a menu. When I arrived, the server didn't come to ask for my drink order for another 5 minutes. The cloth napkin was stained with salsa or something and I had to get another one. After another 10 minutes, a waitress came to take our order. She was not very knowledgeable about the menu options and didn't speak clearly. All 5 of us had to ask her to repeat herself more than once. I found a salsa bar, but there were only 3 salsas, and 2 of them looked like an odd orange sauce. They were lacking real flavor in exchange for the claim of being "hot". I wasn't impressed. I had the avocado enchiladas. The inside was cold, outside was hot, and the sauce was inconsistent and didn't blend well at all. The beans were drowning in watery sauce and the rice was a little overcooked and had no seasoning. No one ate their entire plate. The only good thing was the price of the lunch menu. For the 5 of us, our ticket was only $52. That was nice. At least the reviews were right about one thing. I think the Coppell location is the better of the two. I won't be coming back to this location again, unfortunately.

7 Salsas is a neat Mexican restaurant out in Irving. The name derives from their selection of salsas that you can grab at will for your chips or entree. In a way you could probably think of it like a nicer Taco Cabana with a more authentic feel to it. Unfortunately the comparison partially extends to the quality of food (though the overall value is still pretty decent at the prices they offer). When you first arrive at 7 Salsas, you might notice the nice view around the area. If the weather permits, it's not a bad idea to sit outside. The service is very prompt and friendly, and usually on top of making sure your cups are full and checking in from time to time. Both times I've visited were during lunch, and they do have a list of specials. You can usually get full for under $10 during this time, and they definitely have a decent selection of food. I've had the enchiladas (pic included somewhere) and some form of peach-looking tacos that were really neat. The chicken wasn't as juicy as it could have been. The beef fajita dishes looked pretty appetizing, however, and I'll be sure to try them (and update) next time I visit. Overall, I think 7 Salsas has a great location and good service, but the food doesn't do it for me just yet. It may be that I just haven't tried the right dish, but it'll do the job if you need your Mexican food fix.

Food is okay here, not great. The chips are thin and crispy and served with tempurature hot salsa. Lunch prices are super cheap at around $7 to $9 bucks. Good place if you need a quick cheap lunch. There are daily food specials and happy hour specials. I wouldn't come back here unless it was for a group gathering. Not my first pick in Irving for Mexican food.

I've given this place 3 opportunities to change my perspective before reviewing it. The food experience has not been memorable and presentation is just OK. The service is always bad but I look past it. Overall, the flavor of their food is average at best. Every time I've came here, no one has taken the time to recommend a dish or even offer or explain the 7 salsas name.

I LOVE 7 salsas. I am not a salsa aficionado nor am I super picky when it comes to Mexican food, but this place is great. Delicious, strong drinks, huge menu with delicious food (I always get the shrimp tacos), great service and as many have mentioned - the patio is a fun party atmosphere. HERE IS WHERE YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION: they have a Sunday BRUNCH BUFFET. It is everything you love about brunch and Mexican food all in one. They have personalized omelette, enchilida, and quesadilla skillets as well as taquitos, shrimp ceviche, bacon, potatoes and of course a ton of other things endlessly. On top of all that - they still give you chips and salsa! Mimosas are $2 and Bloody Mary's (my Sunday morning drink/medication of choice) are only $3! My group had no idea how they still had open tables. This brunch, as well as the place in general is a mostly undiscovered gem! Could not recommend more!!

This is a new location for me, I previously ate on and off for the past three yeats at the location on Denton Tap in Coppell. Yes it has all acess bar with seven salsas. Yes it has Tex Mex food. Yes the margaritas swirls as aweosme. Yes you will probably wait for a table during peak lunch and dinner. All around decent place.

7 Salsas has come a long way over the past year or so. They revamped the menu, and maybe the food too. The salsa is not spicy at all, but has a nice flavor. The chips are always warm and kinda buttery. I always get the pick two lunch special with a cheese enchilada and guacamole tostada. It comes with rice and beans. Cheap tex-mex fair that comes out super quick, but it's all pretty yummy for the price.

One of my favorite places for Mexican food. Great prices and tastes great! Great patio as well.

Salsas are good, service is fast and food is decent. Large menu with lots of choices and salsa bar has a good variety of salsas. Salads are large and taste great. Guacamole is made table-side and tastes great as well! Sopapillas are yummy too!

We are not from here and decided to give this a place a shot. Thank goodness we did! The veggie enchiladas are out of this world and our waiter Danny was BEYOND awesome. This is a real, authentic Mexican restaurant (not texmex) and it has some of the best salsa around. You can't find Fidèo or Molè at your typical restaurant chains but you can find it here. They had happy hour all day and we ordered the beso margarita which I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed if you come here!!

I'm giving this 4 stars because I LOVE their current service (Dante is my favorite waiter) and I LOOOOOOOOVE their frozen Margaritas. They have great Happy Hour Deals (I just wish it lasted another hour). Superb Margaritas (THE FROZEN ONE). I'm NOT a fan of their food and I'm NOT a fan of their 7 Salsas. I'm hoping they invent an 8th salsas soon. But I will still go back. It's close to where I live. It's easy and convenient to meet for Happy Hour and again, I love their current service (especially Dante).

The food was just not good. It did not taste fresh and nothing I tasted was good. There are plenty of other mexican restaurants that I would rather go to. The only thing I can say about this place is that the service was decent.

This is my fav tex-mex, and I have been a regular since 2008. Should have written a review sooner. Love the warm salsa first of all. Not too runny or chunky or tomato-y. Just perfection, and I could just drink it! I almost always get chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. They never disappoint! I'm a picky eater and even pickier when it comes to the quality of chicken. The chicken there is fresh and juicy. You can't go wrong with the fajitas or quesadillas, either. The waitstaff can be a bit over zealous , but they're so friendly, I don't want to complain. It's just...how many times can you ask me how I'm doing??? ;) Anyway, love everything here down to the hard candies at the door :).

Came for lunch and food was absolutely delicious. Definitely try the chicken avacado salad! Great drink specials with a great afternoon ambiance. Coming back for sure for their all day happy hour on Saturdays.

Ok, I didn't really like this place for weekday lunches, however, I really like this place for dinner by myself. Somewhere to go where you are not bothered and you just want a nice drink and a tasty meal. Their salsa is great - all hot and not too spicy. It's awesome and I put it on all my food. I usually get the combo platter with an enchilada and mini chimichanga. Sooo yummy! It's only $7.99 and it totally hits the spot! Every time I go, its never too busy, which is ok with me - that means I'll get awesome service and fast hot food. Can't really argue with that!

Best Mexican food I have had in Texas. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. I got the steak fajitas. My companions got the sampler and enchiladas. We talked non stop about how good the food was! This is gonna be a regular place for us.

I had lunch here yesterday with friends and I was told to order the chicken avocado salad. Well, I didn't listen. I instead ordered the cheese enchiladas with chicken fajita meat, rice, and beans. The cheese inside of the enchiladas weren't melted all the way. It was more like a block of cheese inside of the tortilla, so I didn't bother to eat it. The rice was bland. The beans were the highlight of the dish. If you do come here, do not order the enchiladas. I did have a taste of the chicken avocado salad, and it was a lot better. I only wish they had more dressing options. They have ranch and mango vinaigrette. The waiter was very good, so A+ for the service!

Bartender is very friendly. Good margarita. Fajitas were on special which was great because that's what I wanted.

I'm not a huge fan of their food. This is mainly because I don't care for their salsa--not 1 of the 7! :( One plate I can always enjoy is the "light plate"--it is a grilled chicken breast with a creamy corn on the side. It is consistently good. The margaritas are also delicious and they have great deals during happy hour.

Good food that is delivered quick. My experience today was with over zealous wait staff, he stood at our table for 2 minutes while we decided what to order. This after being asked to return later. I know this isn't the normal experience and the food is always good, not great, and maybe average. I love spicy foods so I if you're like me try the Salsa Bar, it may change your life.

Serviceable but ordinary traditional Mexican food. Nothing at all special. Very attentive service, though.

$2 Margarita Mondays (regular only frozen or on ice) Also had their fish tacos which were yummy. Their variety of salsas is also a lot of fun. A good experience.

If you don't order a margarita when you come to 7 Salsas, you are missing out! But be warned, these pack a punch! The food is good (pretty run of the mill Tex-Mex). We come here for the drinks. The service is good and it is hardly ever busy. I've always enjoyed the staff at this location. You can't beat good food, great drinks and a chill environment!

First visit: We stopped in spur of the moment on a Sunday night and had the fajitas. Service was great! Our waiter was attentive and polite. Also, a young woman was going around checking on us and other patrons. Second visit: We returned with a friend on the following Wednesday night. This time I had the combo with flautas and a chicken mole' enchilada and got to try a margarita. All were delicious. Once again, service was impeccable! And the young woman that was checking on patrons on our first visit was there again and did the same thing. Can't go wrong here! This is our new go-to-spot nearby.

Back for lunch after two years (or so) away. This time, I ask for the 7 Salsa sampler and yet again I'm told "We don't have that." BUT, to my surprise, they WILL have a sampler sometime later this month. Is this enough motivation to bring me back: Seasoned tomatoes in a vegetable-based suspension? I give it a 70/30. This is standard nothing-special-but-nothing-bad Tex Mex. Which I believe is a step up from where I was last time. And, they actually have a new menu (or should I call it a lunch menuette) -- which has a section for vegetarians! That's a total score and brings the 3 stars to 4 even without the salsa variety pack option. There's a ridicudonk number of Tex Mex in Dallas. I mean it's borderline crazy. Strike that, it's full-out nuts bonkers the options out here. And with that comes a large majority of mediocrity. This is place is (now) above average in my mind nowadays. So if there's one in your area, and you're in the mood, might give 7 Salsas a shot. Expect 1 salsa for now though.

This place actually catered the holiday party at my apartment complex. They brought some delicious veggie tamales that were to die for! Spicy, cheesy and filled with veggie goodness. I got some to take home (like a family sized amount) and put them in my freezer. I can't wait to actually go here and check out what else they have to offer.

Great food great service great margaritas everything you are looking for in a tex mex restaurant. Local and family owned. Not a chain. Totally reasonable pricing. Tortilla soup is favorite.

Great service. However, the chef had a hard time producing a medium rare steak that was not well done.

Great Tax Max place in Irvine. Guacamole made at the table! Great poppers. Patio very nice and shared with fans. Service is outstanding

The food was bland, the service was mediocre, the salsa was HORRIBLE! I read the reviews and was hoping for a better experience. I was left disappointed. The chicken quesadilla had no flavor, very bland, and the presentation was poor. The shrimp was chewy and I stopped after the second bite. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else.

Interesting place. Has been there for a while but today was the first day I walked in. Staff is friendly but not very helpful.. Had to ask about the salsa bar.. Food was good the mushroom spinach sauce was yummy but not sure how Mexican it was..price was good but I hate to say nothing special.

This place is okay. They have cheap HH drinks though so come for that and eat some good mexican food elsewhere!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
