Brooklyn’s Old Neighborhood Style Pizzeria Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I got a 12" cheese pizza, a house salad, and an iced tea. The salad had the house Balsamic vinaigrette, and was very good. Just what I wanted in a salad. The pizza was great. The dough is crispy at first then chewy the way I like. It might have been a touch greasier than I expected, but I believe that's because the cheese is authentic. The service was fast. I think it only took 10 to 15 minutes for my pizza, and my salad came out maybe 2 minutes after I sat down. You have to serve yourself on drinks and silverware, although the waitress brought my food and a plate. I don't know if a tip is appropriate since Whataburger and Schlotsky's do the same thing, and we don't tip at those places. All in all, I like this place even though a touch expensive. I can get the same thing for about $11 at my usual place. Here it was $17.84 without tip.

I ate at the Firewheel location and it was horrible we got the spaghetti and meatballs, and a philly cheese steak. I literally couldn't even down the spaghetti... It had no flavor, the noodles were bigger than a normal spaghetti noodle, and they were mushy because they were so over cooked. The meatballs tasted like chemicals. And it was overpriced. I'll never in my life eat at this place again after the experience I just had. Not to mention there was no where to sit when we got there because all of the tables were dirty. Then one of the workers accidentally bumps into my baby's high chair and smushed her into the table.... I was just like wow. AND we waited over 25 mins to get our food.

Tried this place for the first time tonight and it will be our last. We came in at 9pm , note they close at 10pm. However they had a restaurant halfway full of patrons. The tables were filty, the bathroom was filthy .... overflowing trash and no toilet paper. However we wanted to give the place a chance because we like the interior and the ambiance. As we were checking out, I advised the staff over the trash and lack of toilets paper, for which the response we received was a grunt and rolled eyes. The food took over forty minutes to arrive and was mediocre at best. Noodles were overcooked, sauce was watery and flavorless. The entire time we were eating the staff was cleaning around us, mind you the restaurant still had 3/4 full of patrons. The restaurant needs a lot of help, management, cleanliness, timeliness, good taste, good caring staff. This restaurant has a lot of potential BUT not with the staff or cook on staff. Poor effort given on the part of the entire staff. Don't bother with this place til a major overhaul... I definitely will not return.

I'm a little disappointed, after ordering a chicken Stromboli to go. For $8 plus change, I received a soggy crusted Stromboli the size of a grilled cheese sandwich. The marinara helped add a little taste to the relatively flavorless dish; but overall a disappointment.

Tried this place for the first time last night, and unfortunately, it will probably be our only visit to Brooklyn's. The drink fountain and video games were broken. They tried to accomodate customers by providing canned drinks as an alternative, and they hooked up a Playstation for the children. The service was pretty much non-existent. We only interacted with the staff when placing our order and when they delivered the food to the table. The food was not terrible, but it was not worth the price. I hate posting negative reviews, but sometimes honest feedback helps businesses improve.

Located off Firewheel this is a great place for groups. The Corvette Club I used to be member of met here weekly on Sundays and they were amazing to us. They always had a table reserved for us and the staff was super friendly. There is also plenty of parking. The pizza is a little pricey but it is tasty. They had a special that was Bleu Cheese and Steak, it was delicious. Great place to take your family or grab and drink at the bar.

Eh.. I wasn't impressed at all with the food. We ordered the pizza with double pineapple and double Canadian bacon, but when it got to the table it looked and tasted like a regular Hawaiian pizza from Cici's. Very light on both pineapple and ham. The pineapple was pale and not too flavorful at all. The staff is nice enough, very clean restaurant with neat decor. So I'll give it one more star for that. It's a "Meh" place though.

35 minute wait for a slice of pizza, gnocchi, and chicken parm. Pizza was average. Gnocchi was grey, watery and clumped up. Chicken was rubbery. Would not recommend.

This place has a great location and awesome little patio. We were attracted to the look of it and forgot to check reviews before coming. Smells amazing when you walk in. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. I was disappointed in the pizza.. Great crust but way too much cheese and not much chicken. And the chicken tasted like the frozen breaded stuff you can buy from target. We thought, maybe we just ordered the wrong pizza for our taste. However, I have a feeling that if I ordered a pepperoni pizza with veggies and Italian sausage, it would be the same thing: too much cheese and not much meat. Oh, and we felt the buffalo sauce didn't taste right either. Come on guys, don't be cheap if you want to stay in business!

Food is good but over priced. $17 for a medium which was rather small. The calzone had very little cheese. And it is nothing like true pizza from Brooklyn NY.

This is our favorite local pizza place. I especially love that we can order just a slice. Manhattan Veggie is my favorite. I also love the location.

ZERO stars if I had my way tonight. We got there to eat dinner before a movie. We put our order in and sat down and found the table sticky like another reviewer. Anyway, we start watching other tables getting their orders so 30 minutes into our wait I found that our order was sitting on top of one of the ovens as a to go order. I was livid! Not only did the chick not try to find us since obviously we were IN THE RESTAURANT but that she starts to bag the stuff up. I demanded my money back and thanked her for ruining our evening since we were trying to have dinner and a movie. Never once did the cashier who took the order or the manager apologize. Popcorn SUCKS as a dinner entrée. Never going back. Still pissed off and this was at 530pm....4.5 hrs later.

Our first trip here. I had the slice of pizza lunch special ... thin crust, pepperoni, onions, and black olives. It was the best pizza I've had in Dallas. Good sauce, good dough, good cheese, and good ingredients. My wife had the netball sandwich and also gave it very high marks. We'll be back. We downloaded the app and, oddly enough, the Firewheel location was not listed.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I had the stuffed pizza, which looked amazing displayed. When brought to the table, it lacked the flavor I was expecting. Ate with my mother, she had the bacon ranch panini and it tasted delicious! The tomato basil soup was great, too. The decor was fantastic! They really spent some money with the signs and the New York City style decor. It enhanced the ambiance of the restaurant. All in all, I would go back.

This would be a really great place to put a restaurant! Pizza is par. Here's a tip - Make the drive to Valentino's in Rowlett, then come back and review this place. Trust me, the people giving this place a favorable review have no idea what a good slice of pie tastes like. Also, I've had better salads at CiCi's. Long wait time. After I went through the "fast food line", it took 30+ mins to deliver a small 10" pizza and then had to ask for napkins, silverware, and had to fill my own drink. Wait staff? This place is full of a bunch of awkward high school kids that wander around the restaurant looking at the ground. Not sure what they do. No personality at all, not a smile, no thank you, no have a good day. My guess is that the manager is probably "Facebook friends" with his/her staff and is more concerned about their selfies than the restaurant. Atmosphere is great, with good decor. However, they should have someone clean every once in a while. Place is dirty. My last trip to Brooklyn's Firewheel.

Total disappointment and I will NOT return. Attempted to tell our waitress about observations but she started walking away in the middle of me talking. Waitresses carry pizza out and the crust is touching their chests because it's held too close to their body and no trays are used. Observed a girl holding a full pizza resting against her stomach and she stopped in the middle of the restaurant to talk to a coworker and talked directly over the pizza and then served it. Then watched another waitress juggle duties between food runner and janitor. She served food, then cleaned a spill off the floor, served another plate of food without washing her hands and then went outside and cleaned the windows. We were able to notice these observations after my food was delivered and they hadn't wen started making my husbands pizza ad he had to wait for a long period. Gross, gross, gross!! I hope the health department visits soon!

Pizza is good, but the store is filthy. Stick to the floor filthy. If you don't mind a place that hasn't been wiped down in a month then this is your place. The food is good but makes you nervous eating it because if the front of the house is this bad I'd hate to see the kitchen. Hint: bring your own cleaner and towel so you don't stick to your booth.

The pizza here tastes like cardboard and is really dry. They skimp on the sauce and cheese too. The side ceasar salad was $7.29 and was something you would pay 2.99 for any other place. The salad was good but the prices are crazy high for the quality and amount of food. This was nothing like New York pizza tastes. The menu on the wall was also hard to read because of the glare from the lights. Something minor but silly that it is a problem. Service was ok.

Horrible service. Mediocre food. We had the family wedge salad. .. which was better then the pizza we had. Took forever to get our beers. Won't be back.

Not sure how this place has stayed open so long. This is our 2nd time to try Brooklyn's and still not impressed. First impression is how dirty the place is. How can there be so many employees wandering around cleaning yet everywhere you look is a dirty table or floor? We literally couldn't find a table that wasn't sticky (see pic). The staff is friendly and the food is average. But you have to wonder about how clean the kitchen is if the dining area is this unkempt. Probably won't be back and too bad because it's a great location

This pizza was bad. Really bad. Granted I lived in NYC, and specifically Brooklyn, for awhile, so I am spoiled, but it was undercooked, improperly seasoned, and relatively tasteless.

  • Liz L.

Pizza was cold, manicotti was stiff and tasted processed. Nasty sauce. Will NOT return.

  • Rich C.

Pizza was pretty good but we were surprised at the prices. Medium pizza ran us $16.00 and wasn't any bigger than a frozen pizza you can get at the grocery store. There were a few desserts on the menu that sounded good but couldn't justify spending even more for a quick dinner.

We didn't even get to try the food here so I will reserve comment on that. My son and I happened to be at Firewheel Mall on Saturday evening. We saw this place and it looked the only restaurant there that did not have a wait to get in...we found out why. If you have never been to the place before there is no indication of what they want you to do to order. After walking around looking for a hostess we stopped a waitress who told us, in a very condescending way, that we needed to look at the big menu on the wall and then go through the line to order. We went back to front and looked through the menu then went through the line. We stood there for about 2-3 minutes while several employees talked between themselves on the other side of the counter. One young women said "I need to get some change and Ill be with you". She just stood there behind the cash register and eventually took an order to refill drinks. At this point we had enough of this place and left to go to another restaurant. We did overhear another person asking about why it had taken over 45 minutes to get their order which also prompted our exit. If their food is good, which other reviewers seem to confirm it is not, the staff seems to want to keep it a secret. This place is chaotic and has a general feel of being completely disorganized. If you are looking for a casual and easy dinner experience look elsewhere.

We've been here twice, the food is always good! I like thinner crust pizza and they make it GREAT!! The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. A good place for the family and prices are very reasonable. We'll go back many times!

Piss poor excuse for a pizzeria. And they have the balls to mention brooklyn in the name. Pass.

The number one thing that was very impressive at this restaurant was the staff running it. The waitress was wonderful and the manager was great as well. You can tell they value customer service a lot and I appreciate that. We ordered the garlic bread for appetizers. It came out warm and yummy. We loved it. The Alfredo sauce I ordered on the side was not as good as I expected. The pizza we ordered was just perfect. I am not a fan of super thick greasy pizza so this was just perfect. The crust was thin (but not super thin) and the cheese/sauce was perfect. Loved it!!! There is really good seating indoor and out. Spacious! I wish the place was a bit more cozy on the inside though. Overall wonderful place to try out!!

My review is based on the catering services of Brooklyn's. We had them cater our recent wedding rehearsal dinner as well as salad for our wedding. We, and our guest loved the food. People would come back for seconds and thirds. And this is coming from Jersey and NYC guests. Ramona was really great to coordinate with and was really attentive to our requests, preferences and schedule. She schedule a tasting for us and it was a feast! Antipasta was great and we loved the garlic rolls and penne pasta. The kids really devoured the mac & cheese. Would definitely use them again for future parties and family gatherings.

Pizza tastes great, my wife ordered some Alfredo Pasta with Chicken, it was also good. The whole ordering process is a bit strange, and its a bit hard to tell who is your server (so I can feel good that the appropriate person gets the tip on the table). Great food (5) Service (4) Atmosphere (4).

The nutella cheesecake is great! Napkins are in brown baskets around restaurant, silverware is by the drink machines as well as salt and pepper. Don't order the wings, they take too long. Strombolis can't be customized, order a calzone. No they don't serve gluten free pizza. Pepperoni rolls are better with mozzarella inside. The pizza sauce is made with cheese in it, so don't order pizza if you're lactose intolerant. Sides of marinara and ranch cost $.50 each so make sure to order them with your food. Make sure your table number is visible, you'll get your food faster that way. 18" Pizzas take about 22-25 minutes to make as well as 16". 12" and 14" pizzas and cheese sticks take about 18- 22 min to make. 10" pizzas, calzones, Strombolis and the stuffed meat slices take about 15-18 min to make. Individual slices, pepperoni rolls, garlic sticks and salads take about 5-15 min to make. Pastas take about 18-20 min to make. The fresh tomato basil pasta on whole wheat penne takes about 25 min to make. Kids meals take about 10 min or less to make. Alfredo pizzas and buffalo pizza can't be made on slices unless it's a deep dish slice. They cant make a pizza that's half Alfredo and half pizza sauce or buffalo sauce because those three sauces take different times to cook. Don't waste your money on the machines in the kids play area, they are all out of order. Don't mark on the wooden tables, that is vandalism. You order at the register and get a table number, they will bring the food out to you. You get your own drinks, silverware, napkins and salt and pepper. Restrooms are past the bar to the right. The left stall in the girls bathroom doesn't flush right, so you have to flush a few times before it works. The pizza tastes the best, after all it is a pizzeria. Stuffed meat slice is amazing, big enough for two to share. Cheese sticks are not mozzarella sticks, they are a 12" pizza with garlic and mozzarella. Garlic sticks are better with some kind of sauce. The alcoholic Raspberry Tea is amazing! They don't have dos Equis at all. They have coors light, bud light, zeigenbock, moretti, Lakewood lager and Lakewood hop trap on draft.

Hubbs, baby Jesse and I went on a slow weekday afternoon. I was kind of confused about how they work. There isn't a waiter assigned to you so we didn't know who or how to tip. There really wasn't much service anyway but I found out they have a tip jar so I left something for them. The pizza presentation wise looked good but I don't remember it standing out all that much in the taste dept. I don't think I'll be back but I'm glad I finally went. Had my eye on the place for a while!

  • Achilles E.

The service was slow when waiting for our food told it would be 2 mins and ended up waiting almost another 10 mins before we finally had our food. The waitress had know clue what somethings on the menu would be cooked which i feel is a must when be working in that kind of line of work. Now the food the garlic bread was over cooked the chicken had no breading on it and wasn't even seasoned right the pasta was over cooked and the sauce for it OMG it tasted like to much tomato paste right out of can from the store the only good parts of my meal was the caesar salad and the marinara sauce for the garlic sticks. So in my opinion don't waste your money at this Brooklyn's find another cause if you go to this one you might be turned off from them completely and my wife was not impressed and she talked about how good brooklyn's was but was very disappointed but i plan on trying them again but i will either go to allen or frisco or somewhere other than Garland that is for sure but if i get another bad experience i will never eat there again i will make sure none of my friends do either if they want good Italian food i will bring them to my house and cook a much better tasting and not over cooked food

We had Brooklyn's brought in for a business lunch. I was tempted by the Chopped Italian salad or the Gnocchi with Vodka sauce, but decided on the sausage and mushroom Calzone. Oh, and the Toasted Almond Cream Cake (long meetings make me crave sweets... yeah, that's it). My calzone was huge, and stuffed with fresh mushrooms, tasty sausage and loads of herb-flecked melted cheese... but T's meat-stuffed Stromboli, next to me, looked amazing. I had to try some. Yummmm! All of a sudden my calzone had lost it's luster. Thank goodness the almond cake brought me out of my 'I didn't get the stromboli' funk. That is some delicious cake! The soft consistency of Tiramisu (which they also have btw, and it is also delicious), but with a punch of almond flavor. Next time, I'm getting the Stromboli (or wrestling it out of T's hands)!

I do really like the food here. It'd fast & conveniently located (Firewheel mall) as well. I've only had pizza & salad here, though, so I can't vouch for the other items. The pizza has just the right sized crust: not too thick & not stick-thin. Perfect! The salads are so-so. I've only had the caesar, and they put too much dressing on it, but that is the only complaint. I like the set-up. It's casual & pretty cool. Nice place to take a break from shopping & meet with friends.

  • John M.

Everyone claims pizza is good. If that's the case then don't try pasta. Eggplant was burnt as well as the red sauce Alfredo had no taste and the price was 50 bucks, much better places in the area. Do not recommend at all

  • John R.

This place was a total disappointment. To start, I'm not a big fan of places I have to order in a line and get my own beverage and plates... and silverware...and napkins... and then fight to find a table. For Italian food, I like a waitress to take our order and bring things to us. Secondly, the pizza was dry. Bad crust and not enough sauce or toppings. Nothing special about the bread or salad. We really wanted to like this place. It was so disappointing.

    (1)
  • Gary B.

Great garlic bread as a starter! Good pizza. If you do that rectangular deep dish pizza, ask for extra sauce. And it WILL take 30 minutes to cook. So order an appetizer or find something to take your mind off of things- if you're really hungry. There's a cool area where you can mix various syrups to your sodas. And no one will stop you from going back for more!

  • Van-Ann B.

As the yelp ratings go, brooklyn's was "A-OK." Pretty decent pizza at a pretty good price point. It's not a thin crust/crispy kind of pizza, so I wouldn't come here expecting that kind of pizza. If so, you'll be disappointed. That being said, the crust is a little bit more doughy (but definitely not "thick"). We had the Brooklyn Meat pizza. Lots of meat, lots of flavors. Would come back if I happen to be in the neighborhood (haha - get it?)

  • Jessica J.

This place is great as far as location (off Firewheel in the shops there) and it is cute as can be as far as decor. However, the pizza leaves a lot to be desired. I mean it so bland, boring and just not great for restaurant quality pizza. Slices seemed kinda small too. Prices are fine, but the food is miss. It won't be calling you back.

    (3)
  • Jason J.

Was not impressed by Brooklyn's in any way. We walked in the door, having never been here before, and were completely confused as to whether we were just supposed to seat ourselves or go up to the counter or what. And the staff there were no help. We finally figured it out. The pizza itself was kinda bland, with nothing to write home about. Very saucy and light on toppings and the crust tasted like something out of a microwave.

    (2)
  • Brett K.

Done with this place. I never write anyplace off from one bad experience. This was the second, and it was intolerable. Their staff needs training. The food was tasteless. Filthy dining room. There are a dozen other pizza joints you should choose first.

  • Amy C.

Brooklyn's is a solid pizzeria. It's not going to blow you away but it's reliable. Portions are pretty generous and we always end up with to-go boxes. I would stick with the pizza and stay away from the pasta. I've had the lasagna before and it was so underwhelming (at least it was a big slice and came with a side of bread). The crust is NOT thin crust. So don't walk in thinking you'll get authentic New York thin crust here. But service is generally pretty good (though sometimes you'll encounter a super apathetic teenager who could care less about customer service). They also have flavoured syrups (chocolate, vanilla, cherry) so you can make your own concoction of soda! We always go here when we don't want big chain delivery pizza but are too lazy to drive out to places like Grimaldi's or Cane Rosso.

I had the asiago alfredo. The pasta was cooked well but the alfredo sauce was bland. No flavor and very disappointing. I will probably give it another try and write another review.

Wife picked this place last Saturday when we were shopping with the kids. Being our first time there, we didn't know what to expect. We got in to the ordering area, and the line was moving dreadfully slow. This was a blessing in disguise, as it gave us time to review the menu. Once we got to the cashier, we ordered our salad, the chicken cacciatore wings and our pizza. The price was reasonable, then we got our drinks and got seated. The salad- Stella's Wedge- was tasty and fresh with plenty of bleu cheese sprinkled over the top. Fun salad, as my son and I joked about giving Stella a Wedgie if we saw her. Next were the chicken cacciatore wings- not the neatest food to share with a seven and three year old, but then again, they didn't wear any more of it than my wife or I did. I was surprised at the good taste of the marinara; chain restaurants usually don't do well at this. The pizza toppings were tasty, crust lacked that authentic doughy chewiness. Summarily, the food had good flavor and we'd go back provided it wasn't crowded, and we wouldn't order the pizza. And, honestly, there are other places I'd go first. Above average for a moderately-priced chain restaurant, but it would be much better if the ordering process was more traditional, with wait staff tending to seated clients.

Nice loacation, Fantastic service, asked for food suggestion, was told get the pasta. I got it to go and it didn't make it home intact. The aroma was killer. Oh well, guess the cleaners gets another challenge.

I am a huge fan. We have been coming here since it opened I just forgot to Yelp about it. Sorry. So this week alone I had the wedge salad three times. It is truly a delicious salad. We have had several different pizzas to the Cal zones and all very good and fresh ingredients. Never once dissatisfied. The staff is always helpful and nice and I am glad to have a delicious pizza place close to home. If you find yourself there on a nice day outside they have a wonderful patio. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

Was at Firewheel doing some shopping, and thought we'd stop in for some pizza. Never been to a Brooklyn's, so thought we'd give it a try. Didn't see a hostess, or any signs to "Seat Yourself", so we went up to the cashier. Young blond girl was there typing something in with a skinny young boy. Both looked up and made eye contact with us. The guy turned around and walked away. The girl kept playing on the screen. Another staff member came out, saw us, but walked on by. There were at least 5 staff members to ignore our "excuse me"'s. We decided that they really didn't want our business, so we took it elsewhere.

I had really high hopes for this place but unfortunately they couldn't live up to them. The decor is pretty nice, like other reviews have mentioned before, lot's NY related signs etc, it is pretty nice. Seems to be a good place for kids, they have some kind of video game kids can play for free while they wait which is a great initiative. I had their 14 inch pizza with pepperoni, italian sausage and extra mozzarella cheese. It was alright but way too plain for me. The actual pizza dough didn't really have any flavor, the italian sasuage was really plain and not even the pepperoni had much flavor. I had to douse the pizza in crushed red pepper to get any flavor besides the mozarella (which was good btw). Maybe this was a bad day (on a Sunday during lunch hours). At least they have some sense of humor, the table ticket we got said "waiting builds good character" and boy we must have great character after having to wait 25 mins for the pizza to be delivered to our table! I'll give this place a second chance though and hopefully next time it will be much better.

Good pizza (though not as good as New York pizza but what can you expect). Helpful staff. SO expensive. We bought 2 salads, 2 glasses of cheap-brand wine, and split 1 large pizza. It was around $60. I also don't understand why they don't just have a normal wait staff instead of semi-counter service.

    (3)
  • Mary K.

I don't know about you, but when I order a slice of pizza, I want the toppings to be toasted & cooked as well - not just the crust! I went here only once to find out how expensive 2 slices were, and when my food came out, it seemed as if they just cooked the bread with sauce and just slapped my toppings on top. I was not pleased and will definitely go to Sali's in Garland next time.

Decent pizza at a good price. Also a good assortment of pastas, sandwiches and salads. They have several employees all standing around but the place is slow in service and needs some cleaning.

We've been to Brooklyn's half a dozen times, and it has always been a wonderful experience. I have had NY-style pizza at a number of places in Brooklyn and Manhattan and this is as close as I have found in Dallas, and that includes Grimaldi's and Sal's. The crust is crisp and chewy and is perfect for folding. The sauce and toppings are scrumptious and plentiful. It may take a while longer to prepare, but that's because they make each pizza from scratch after you order it. And they are hand-tossed and cooked in stone ovens, not on a conveyor through a convection oven, like they use at Pizza Hut, Dominos and most other chains. Even when rushed, the service has been excellent. But best of all, they have been sending terrific coupons to their insider club members. The past few weeks we've gotten $10 off just for saying the "magic" phrase. And tomorrow's special is a free pizza, up to $11. I get coupons and discounts from dozens of restaurants on a regular basis and that kind of deal is unheard of!

The service and environment is perfectly fine. The pizza is lacking so much. I had the Manhattan Veggie, and it tasted like cardboard. They put frozen spinach globs on the pizza, not fresh leaves. The crust was also flavorless.

It was OK, we had a veggie pizza that tasted dry so we sent it back. The salad was great and the gnocchi was OK also

Can I give half a star or a quarter of a star? Because this place had awful food. I mean awful food. I tried the Asiago Alfredo pasta and it had these three flaws: 1. lukewarm - they should've delivered the pasta to the table separately instead of bringing it with the pizza 2. funny taste - enough said 3. odd texture - the sauce was lumpy and thick in the middle and thin towards the end like it came out of a can The pizza was decent but not good enough to make up for my disappointing pasta dish. Did I mention they screwed up the pizza order too? Nope, I don't plan on returning.

Okay...I didn't have the pizza so maybe that's their "specialty" but if so, they shouldn't offer SO MANY other items that they don't know how to cook. I had a salad, bread and eggplant parmesan. I'm really not that picky but the bread was greasy, the salad was iceberg with a measly spattering of diced tomatoes and 1 cucumber. Even so, I was okay with it but the eggplant was nasty. One slice of eggplant breaded with burned cheese on top. Honestly, I don't think there was even eggplant inside the breading because all I could see or taste was cheese and breading. The spaghetti noodles were soggy...and I mean soggy. Like they had been sitting in a pot of water for much too long. I would have rather given my $20 bucks to a homeless person than to have spent it at Brooklyn's.

I guess we started going to this place a little over a year ago. I think we got a super bowl pizza there (buy 1 get one or something) and then wound up sitting at the bar one evening, only to find out that they have $2 drafts and wells during happy hour! That's really all we needed to know to become regulars - no we are the "Thursday night crew," as they know us. haha. Besides the drinks, the food is pretty good. We're usually in for a few slices of the normal Brooklyn style pizza, but the sandwiches (meatball sub, yum), baked ziti, and lasagna are all delicious as well. And if you want appetizers, ask them to add mozzarella to the pepperoni rolls (tell them Jason said) - grab some ranch and enjoy, I often make that my meal, hehe. Service is always good, and the manager, Dan, is the man. He's always good for a story and a chat, between keeping the cute front-end wait staff in check and making specialty orders, if you're nice, himself.

I love Brooklyn's. They are definitely pricier than the national chains, but the pizza is sooo much better that the price is worth it to me. Their pizza crust is thin but still slightly chewy, the tomato sauce is full of garlicky goodness, the veggies and meats are always super fresh, and their mozzarella cheese is not too salty but not tasteless either. I can honestly say in all the times I've ordered from them, I've never gotten a bad pie. Their calzones and stromboli are pretty good. For people who prefer calzones to pizza, I think you'd enjoy theirs (I'm a pizza girl at heart, though). Their pasta and sandwiches are OK - I've never been terribly impressed with them. Their salads are nice and crisp. The chopped italian is my favorite. Next time you're in the mood for a true New York style pizza, give them a try. I've never been disappointed.

Brooklyn's is some of the best NY style pizza in Dallas. The crust is delicious -- not too crispy, not too soft.. not thin enough to be nonexistant, but not so thick its overbearing. Just perfect, NY style deliciousness. They really pile the toppings on too. Their mozzarella is high quality, and they make sure theres no shortage of it! The tomato sauce is also great -- not too acidic, but not that sickeningly sweet, canned tomato taste either. They take your order at the counter, you pay, and bring a number to your table. After a short wait [ive never waited long really], a server will bring out your food, plates, and extra napkins. The soda bar is self serve, and has a bunch of syrups like cherry, chocolate, and vanilla so you can make your own custom fountain-style soda at no extra charge. They have a huge variety of specialty pizzas, or build your own in sizes from individual slices, all the way up to a giant 18" pie. I love that you can get an individual slice of pretty much every specialty pie. They also have strombolis, calzones, and pasta dishes.. ive never had anything but the pizza and cannolis.. mm.. cannolis. They can be pretty crowded on weekend evenings and it can be hard to find a table sometimes. Theres usually lots of kids running around on the weekends. I like to sit on the patio when the weather is nice, its usually much quieter out there! My only real gripe is that the place could be a little cleaner and tables could be wiped down a bit better between customers.. all the kids leave lots of crumbs, apparently.

The set up is fast casual, you order at the counter and they bring you the food. The menus main focus is on pizza, they have specialty pizzas and build your own. Small selection of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as pasta dishes, stromboli, and salads. The pizza is better than average, but could use some tweaking to really perfect it. The Garlic rolls are superb, hot and buttery. The real winner here is the stromboli, it is simply divine. The cheese is melted and gooey, the veggies crisp and flavorful. It comes in two options, meat, and chicken. I will gladly eat either, but it would be nice to see a veggie option. The crust is golden brown on the outside and flakey on the inside. I have yet to try anything on the desert menu, but they have many tempting options including canoli and almond creme cake.

I've eaten at Brooklyn's twice and I live 650 miles away! The Firewheel location is near Grandpa's house and my family loves this place. There's even a playstation for the kids. I am a huge fan of the pizza. The Brooklyn Meat is piled with meat and the crust is a delight. My kids adore the soda bar because they can squirt cherry, vanilla or chocolate syrup in their sodas. Of course, the combinations they came up with were not always delightful (i.e chocolate + fruit punch) I've never visited while the place was packed. My only negative is that the service is a little slow and the counter is sometimes unmanned.

I love this place. The prices are reasonable for the area it's in. Everytime I go I'm not disappointed. Great stuffed meat pizza and marinara is wonderful.

My 7 year old daughter called this place "Scotty P's for pizza" when we walked in. So picture a Scotty P's, but with pizza, NYC decorations, and a full bar. I guess they are a new chain, as they have locations in Allen, McKinney, Frisco, Plano, and this one at Firewheel in Garland. For a pizzeria, they have a pretty decent variety of other italian dishes (chicken or eggplant parm, spaghetti, ziti, gnocchi, ravioli, lasagna, etc). We ordered the appetizer of Pepperoni Rolls. You get 6 for $2.99, so you can imagine the size of them. Basically, it's just a roll with pepperoni rolled up in it. They were tasty, but a little dry. My son had the baked ziti and he really liked it. I took a bite and to me, it was "meh". My daughter had the "Kid Slice", which looked more like a "Godzilla's Kid" slice. It was frickin' huge! Thin crust and floppy, I told her to roll it up and she did. Being a smartass like her Daddy, she didn't fold it lengthwise and proceeded to eat holes in the middle of the slice. I had a slice of the Stuffed Meat Pie. The menu says that it's an inch thick, but it looked more like 2 inches to me. Then again, I'm a guy. To us, 6 inches looks like 10. That slice of pie alone is worth 4 stars. I'm a big dude and I could barely finish it. It was slap full of pepperoni, beef, sausage, and canadian bacon. I had to look like a goober and eat it with a fork, because it was too dense to pick up. Just FYI, although it is counter order, there are servers that will bring it to your table and they also get you refills on your (non booze) drinks. Keep that in mind if you're paying with a credit card, so that you don't end up screwing over your server by not having a tip ready (like I did--sorry!).

Brooklyn's has a few locations around DFW, and I first experienced them at my old job in Allen. The company used to bring in lunch for us and order 50-60 pizzas at a time from this place. I was able to taste a lot of their different pies, and I instantly became a fan. Fast forward to their opening of one at Firewheel, and I decided to check it out w/ my gf. Decor reminds me of an old New York establishment. After walking in I was assaulted by little crowds of people looking at the huge menu not really knowing where to go to order. It was a bit confusing because they had this huge menu on a wall and booths around the front door area. Then you see this small entry to the order taking area. The kitchen and prep areas are visible while you're standing in line, and it was fun to watch the workers bustle behind the scenes and build pizzas. After ordering you're given a number and find your own seat. There seemed to be A LOT of children at the restaurant that day, and they were running amuck through the narrow pathways where you can walk. We decided to sit outside, as it was a nice day and I enjoyed the outside dining experience. The pizza was great and just as I had remembered from my previous experiences. Loved the pizza (I'm a HUUUGE pizza fan) and we took a few unfinished slices home which were just as tasty the next day. The only thing that really irked me was the cramped feeling I got from walking through the restaurant. Overall a great experience, and I will definitely be returning. Next time I think I'll try some of their desserts.

Not a bad pizza place at all. We were there on a Saturday. I had the meat pie, the wife had a chicken calzone. I got to meet the owner. He's got a funny story - he moved here from New York to be closer to his kids and all the pizza places here stunk. So what does he do? he opens his own. It spread from there. He now has multiple locations across the DFW metroplex. The food was pretty tasty and the decor fitting. When we got there they were training a whole crew so there were teens in brown t-shirts everywhere. It looked like a UPS convention. The kids were polite and helpful which was great to see. I think they hire the good ones. So I would say give it a shot. I think we will be back!

I've been here several times to get a slice of pizza or even some pepperoni rolls. Food is always great and I highly recommend the double stuffed meat slice. Delicious every time!

I love their pizza, it is definitely pricey but worth it!! Their tiramisu and cannolis are great also! And you gotta love that older Italian man walking around the place cracking jokes, haha not sure if he is the owner but he is nice!

I don't know how this place stays in business. The food is not always prepared well. We ordered Stomboli the last two times, and it was refrigerator cold in the center, and warm on the outside. Yuck. Salads are below average. Pizza is only average. Very uninspiring! We won't go back.

I love coming here. The service is good and the pizza is above average. It's a great pizza joint I definitely would recommend to anyone. Just watch out for the garlic bread, they tend to go a bit crazy with the garlic and it can be a bit too much.

We tried it twice. The first time the food was not very good, the garlc bread looked like bread with a jar of chopped garlic dumped on it. Being the ever optimistic people we are. We went back a second time, yuck, my husband's philly cheese steak was swimming in grease (puddle on the plate). So yeah, will not being going back there, to bad, it's a good location. update: It doesn't look like things have changed here, I just wanted to let everyone know that for good Italian Food and Pizza drive down 190 to Valentino's a little family owned place in Rowlett.

I saw this place and instantly got excited as I've recently found the one in McKinney and my SO had never been. So we walked from the theater to Brooklyn's to eat dinner. Well, first came the salads...not nearly as big as the ones I'd recently had...then came the pizza. I ordered The Five Boroughs. My goodness there were a ton of toppings on there! So much so that they were falling off. My SO had the Chicken Stuffed Stromboli. Can I just say that I thoroughly enjoyed my one little bite of it! ;-) My one slice of pizza was so big that I don't think I even ate half of it along with my salad. Definitely worth the money, IMHO. The downfall is that I do wish the salad was bigger, the tables and flatware could have been cleaner and someone could have offered to bring us some more napkins, etc. I did enjoy it and would go back.

We've been to Brooklyn's a number of times and find it consistently good. The calzone is really outstanding - my wife prefers the spinach and cheese. Me? Where's the beef? I prefer the Italian sausage and extra cheese calzone. The pizza is good - the thin crust is done right. The garlic bread is great, though I think I saw my six pack turning into a keg as I ate it. The service is always great and the owner obviously hires nice kids and trains his staff to be service-oriented. The main beef is the cost - pretty pricey for pizza, even good pizza. I have one word to describe the prices - ouch! Even Uno's in Ft. Worth, which I consider the gold standard for pizza in the Metroplex, doesn't rip into my wallet this deeply... Bottom line? If you're looking for a nice pie or calzone, great service, and a casual fun environment, and don't mind taking a hit in the wallet

My Hubby LOVES this place really am not a fan because my family makes homemade so its not the best. But its cheap, food, and right by my house. I think If you like pizza you should go its better the hut, inn and Cece's so try it.

While shopping at Firewheel, we decided to give this restaraunt a try. We were very disappointed. We ordered the sausage calzones. It was mostly all bread with very little sausage. We will stick with Sali's which is not only better, but cheaper.
