Pei Wei is one of my regular spots to take out/dine in. Why? Because it's consistently good and the price is right. And they have several veggie options. Here's a tip for all you folks who are poor like I am and can't afford to eat there on a regular basis: Order a side of noodles (you get to choose the sauce) and an f'n spring roll. Guess how much that costs? Umm, only $3.75. You're welcome. I was angry at them for awhile because they never have bogo coupons anymore, but I could only boycott them for so long. And now they've started this new rewards program, in case you haven't heard, where psychopaths like me yell out their phone numbers really loudly at the beginning of every order, because they'll inevitably forget to ask you for your number (and you don't get the points if they don't put in your damn number). And you can also be even more of a psychopath by telling your friends who didn't sign up for rewards to use your phone number when they go. You'll be earning free entrees in no time. Also, note to Pei Wei (because clearly the person who's in charge of such decisions reads these things): BRING BACK THE JAPANESE CHILE RAMEN!

Sure wish they would have the orange slices with the drinks again. That was a very nice addition to the menu! My Ginger Broccoli had too much sauce on it this time. It was still good, just not as good as usual. They keep changing the menu and getting tired of that. My reward card would not scan and my phone number did not work. They had to enter the scan by its numbers. Second time a different Pei Wei had the same problem. They need to fix that!
This place WAS a very good fast food inexpensive Asian restaurant years ago. But what happened? The stripped down interior space stinks, the food isn't the quality it used to be, and oh my gosh, get a new dishwasher! I get a dirty bowl or piece of silverware almost every time I go here! Yech. And, hey, manager, designate someone to clean the men's room perhaps at least once a week. Go look at all that dust/crud on the top of the porcelain on the urinal- is that from the Ming or Ding Dynasty? Double yech. I'm done with this place.

I've been to this Pei Wei way too many times. The reason I usually come here is for convenience and how fast they can get my order ready. I normally stick with their Shrimp Fried Rice, but I can honestly say that it isn't near as good as some of the Asian restaurants in the area. The only reason to come to Pei Wei is truly to get your food fast. Otherwise, order your food from a more authentic Asian restaurant where you can get better flavor and a nicer rice texture.

The one great thing about Pei Wei is the fresh ingredients. I have always been impressed with the quality and freshness of the meals. Having tried many dishes, I enjoy the spicy the better. The service has always been friendly and helpful. When dining with a group, the staff takes the time to review the menu with the newbies. There is not outside seating at this location and the parking is limited. Many walk up customers and it gets very busy at noon. Arrive around 11am and 11:30am, you will be fine. Spicy Korean with brown rice is my favorite dish. Enjoy!

Horrible sushi, cold and sometimes frozen..not freshly rolled. Kroger has better sushi then this. Also prices have gone up a whole $2 with the new small size bowl and original size. Food quality and portion size has stayed the same. Very disappointed with the sushi...don't call frozen food freshly rolled.

What's not to like? It's tasty and quick. I tried the whole create your own dish yesterday with the coconut thai chicken on fried rice and really liked it. If you enjoy sweating as you eat then this is the meal for you. It felt healthy given I could feel my metabolism increase as I perspirated from the spicy thai. I liken it to celery given they say you burn more calories eating it then you consume. That probably isn't the case hear, but it's good enough for me. By the way, avoid the egg rolls as the more appropriate name should be grease roll as it had probably 2-3 tablespoons of grease drip out of it. I couldn't finish it. My favorite part is... the Mega-Ultra-Drink-Creator 4000 edition as that space aged beauty is a game changer. I love that I can create the ultimate drink and push a thousand buttons. It's my happy time!

Pei Wei is one of those places i'm not excited about writing the review of. But I tried their sushi and i felt compelled to write one. Stay away from it. It'll cost you $8 bucks for a grocery store quality sushi. I would still give this joint a 3 star just because I do like couple of items on their menu and the quality is decent.

They got my order wrong after i explicitly told them my exact order but i still got beef. I expect some level of competence when i am paying 15$ for my meal, i would not recommend

We frequent this place for lunch at the office. They are always very crowded, but this location does a great job of coordinating seating during the "lunch rush". This takes the stress out of trying to eye a table and battle someone over it. Great staff, and are really helpful when an order came out wrong, or customizations are requested. My favorite is the Thai Dynamite Tofu with Brown Rice. They use sliced, pressed tofu that stir-fried in the wok (as opposed to steamed tofu). It is seasoned very well. Not a huge fan of the pork egg-rolls, but I like the lettuce wraps, spring rolls, and hot and sour soup.

Great spicy chicken but it seems like the chicken portion is getting small. Little more sauce next time would be better so the rice would not be dry. Kids love the new Coke machines!

Pretty location in Uptown Dallas. Great and easy parking. The food seemed overpriced for what I got. I got the Honey Seared Shrimp bowl with fried rice. It came out to $11.89. The shrimp were okay, but as others have said the flavor is a little blander than expected. I truly disliked the fried rice. It was mushy and I had clumps of white rice. Customer service was good. I plan to give this place another chance, because, well, I was told AFTER I ordered that I should have gotten noodles. Maybe I just picked the wrong thing this time? Location, again, is great. It's by The Original Cupcakery, by the highways and a pretty decent drive to my house. I'll try this place again, but it was a miss this time for the food.

Just under $7 for a salad with chicken is a good price. $2 for a fountain drink, and around $9 for the bowls with chicken, pork or beef. Add $1 to convert your white or brown rice to fried rice with a meal. While this location is pretty fast in taking orders to go, and seating everyone during the lunch rush, the cashiers don't always charge you quite right. Today I got a bowl, a salad, two drinks, and asked for a side of asian slaw. The slaw should have been $1 because of their 'add a side' combo deal advertised all over the menus, but they charged me normal side price. :/ To their benefit, I did see a guy putting stuff into a bag for a to go order and he set one of the boxes down instead of putting it into the bag before putting the bag on the 'ready to go' counter. Another staff member saw the box a few moments later and went back through all the bags on the table and found which one it belonged to and gently deposited the item inside. Everyone hates it when you order to go and get to your destination only to find that your order is incorrect. It seems like this Pei Wei does go the extra mile to at least notice that something is awry if there is extra food laying around. The soda machine is pretty fun too. There isn't a lot of parking in the lot at the entrance that isn't reserved for the other shops in the area, but there is a parking garage right under the building that you can enter on Thomas Street. The stairs or elevator let you out right next to the Up in Smoke store.

Asian fusion chain restaurant. I can't really complain, it is tasty... the ingredients are fresh and it comes out super fast!

Awful. I'm not sure why this chain is so popular. It's tastes like a frozen/microwaveable dinner. Over-priced for such a low quality food. Dallas needs better Chinese.

Went to dinner with a friend and the place was surprisingly empty. Great for us since we did not have to wait on a table. Even though it's located in a shopping center, it can be hard to find a parking spot especially during rush hour. Needless to say the food was good. I ordered the Thai Dynamite chicken with brown rice. Service was prompt and the food was delicious. Will be back again.

Not going back. Multiple times finding mud (literally) in the cabbage (in my wife's mouth). The first time, they were kind about a replacement AND a refund, but the second time, it was just disgusting. Plus another incident with something foreign in her food. They have serious food prep problems here, and I don't trust the safety.

Although they were swamped with customers during lunch hour, they made sure to give me excellent service. I stood in the wrong line for to-go orders, and the manager felt bad for making me wait and gave me a free drink and fortune cookies even when I didn't ask :] Love Pei Wei and felt valued even at such a rushed time.

Of all four dishes that I tried, all had an unfortunate lack of flavor. I was hoping to find a place to pick up food for busy week night dinners, so I kept expectations low. The prices are so good! And there's such an extensive menu, especially when including the options for chicken vs. beef vs. veggies, etc. Also, the ingredients were fresh and after reviewing the nutritional information, there are some healthy and low calorie dishes. Even with all these pros, the lack of flavor is too big of a con.

I'm torn but Asian food is by far my favorite and this was just not that good. The reason I am torn is the price. It was so cheap. For about $6.00 I got a full meal that included soup and fortune cookies. Maybe I got what I paid for... But....the food didn't like up to expectations. I got the wonton soup and pretty sure it was made with lemongrass, not my favorite. I like traditional wonton soup. The wontons were good it was just the extra-ness that I couldn't handle. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken with white rice. I was intrigued by it's spiciness but it stopped there. It was heavily breaded chicken and really just tasted like plain old fried chicken...nothing special, there was hardly any sauce at all and tons and tons of rice. I thought the rice was really good in all of it's sticky glory but I could have handled less of it. It also contained peanuts...which I dislike in my food. I must have missed where it said that. I was just disappointed for as much as my coworkers talked it up. I thought I was in for some amazing chinese cuisine and what I think I got was cheap chinese/thai cuisine all smashed into one. A few things to note: Left for a late lunch and about 1pm parking wasn't the easiest. They have their own lot but we we had to wait for a spot to open up. If I had known I would have taken advantage but they had one of those build your own coke machine where you can mix and match. They aren't stingy on the fortune cookies. I've gone to Chinese places where they don't give you one or they give you one when you clearly ordered for multiple people. I was impressed with their service, seemed quick and efficient. They even made sure to ask if you needed plastic utensils or chop sticks. Handy! I'm not eager to go back but wouldn't be opposed to going back due to price...I would just pick something else.

This place is always consistently good. The staff is friendly, service is super fast for as busy as they get and the food is tasty! I enjoyed my normal...the honey seared chicken combo with a spring roll. Great place to grab a quick lunch in Uptown!

I don't know why it is, but I just love Pei Wei. I guess because it can cure the Asian craving without having to eat horrible Chinese food. I am just not a fan of the regular ol Chinese food. No, Pei Wei isn't as good as PF Changs, but it is close enough for a fraction of the cost. When I get a 'need' for vegetables and Chinese this is where I go. Don't judge that I consider Pei Wei to be Chinese, I am well aware that it isn't. However, it is close enough to cure that craving. I have never been in a Pei Wei and it not been busy, this is for a reason. I agree with some of the other reviewers that sometimes the food can be a bit off, but for now, I will say it's worth a shot!

Chicken or Beef or Tofu Lo Mein - yum yum yum. I love how there's a Pei Wei near my work so I can easily walk over and pick up my favorite noodle dish. With some sweet chili sauce to go with it - I'm totally set. It's also way more than you need for lunch so I get to save some for dinner :P But it's SUPPPPPPERRRR packed for lunch...I'm telling you it's a long wait to get your food and grab a table, so best bet is to get your food to go...and to phone in or order your food online...you do NOT want to wait or your stomach will be growling for hours... oh..and I LOVE their soda machine..it's so COOL!!! I wish our office had one of those :)

I'm usually a pretty big fan of Pei Wei. I'm all over their orange beef with brown rice. I eat here so infrequently that that's the only thing I ever get. That and the crab wontons. Yum. The last time I dined in the food wasn't really that good. I know it was cooked fresh, but didn't really taste that way. But I've had take out previously, and it was awesome. I noticed that you can order online for pick up. I'd highly recommend that, or at least calling ahead, because it never fails that there are about 800 other people wanting Pei Wei at the same time I do.

This isn't my typical Chinese cuisine that I would come to, but due to the limited Asian food fix that I get in Dallas I decided to try. Yes I'll say it again, Asian food in Dallas sucks balls. I had the Dan Dan noodle with hot and sour soup, it was flavorful but sodium up the ying yang! Way too salty for my buds, but I would come again.
(3)
Anne S.
What can I say that hasn't already been said? Hm, let me try: - The hot & sour soup is beyond awful. Tastes like meatball-flavored corn syrup. Try it and tell me I'm wrong. - The wonton soup is beyond wonderful. Tastes like lemongrass and sunshine. They'll exchange your nasty hot & sour soup for this if you ask. - The coke machines are futuristic, yo. - The unlimited free fortune cookies keep me alive for the rest of the week. - My stomach was NOT happy with me the next day. Freaking generic ginger broccoli chicken with a side of salmonella. Overpriced, Americanized garbage. But dang, the wonton soup is its one salvation. Okay, and the unlimited free fortune cookies. Two stars for those two.

I love the food at Pei Wei, and so sometimes I get take out for lunch beings I work accross the street. I'm super healthy - stock velveted but everytime I say extra veggies and am charged I get waaay less food!!! Im using less of their resources to get take out.... I should still get a decent portion. 10.00 for this itty bitty portion and I didn't even want rice WTH! Love Pei Wei but my regular lunch trips are not happening anymore.... !!!!

They put so much sauce in the dish that it completely drowns out any other flavor. Also, do not let it sit because whatever they put in the sauce makes it congeal together giving it a nasty texture and microwaving it does not reverse the process. I've also gotten food poisoning here from the beef on more than one occasion so I would try to avoid the beef. The price seems good until you realize that you can get a dish for a tad more money at a real Asian restaurant that usually tastes a lot better. I still get take-out here from time to time just because it's literally a 2 minute drive from my place but definitely not "good" by any stretch of the imagination.

Holy COW !! How does the management NOT fire most of the front line employees?? For the last three times that we have had multiple "to go" orders, they have been unable to separate the checks. Its a different excuse each time; can't do it, don't know how to do it, the computer won't do it, etc. And two out of the three times when our employee came back with the multiple orders, they have been missing food (soup and two sets of lettuce for the lettuce wraps). Very frustrating!! I have personally been inside and have had checks separated on two separate occasions. On the plus side, the food that we have received is very good.

This has to be my favorite Pei Wei location. It could be due to the fact I am in here several times a month, but more than likely it is the great staff and consistent quality. If you have been to Pei Wei, you know what to expect, if not, expect good quality asian inspired food and attentive service in a fast-casual environment. Granted this isn't the mom and pop chinese/asian restaurant with legitimate ethnic/regional food, BUT for great quality, staff, and a clean restaurant, I will take it almost every time. I really enjoy the new Diner Selects. Order the Honey Seared Chicken with white rice and a spring roll and you have a lunch or dinner that is just enough and won't break the bank. It is about $6.25 before tax and a drink. Often I will order my meal with fried rice ($1 extra) and it adds just enough zing to make my rice more palatable. Don't miss the space-age coke machines in the back! It is worth dining in to take advantage of suicide-drinks on a whole new level! Vanilla-Coke with Cherry-Dr. Pepper? Wh-a-a-a-t?!

Arrrgh! I will say, this place is quick and the staff inside move at lightening speed, cleaning tables, bringing to-go boxes, delivering food...etc. The inside is PACKED...FULL!!! Constantly rotating tables. I got there at 11:30 this morning and the line was already in the back...and seating was scarce. But by the time we were ready to sit a lovely little hostess type person quickly showed us where we could sit. I will also say that parking is a complete nightmare...but don't fret! They've now opened the garage below and no one ever parks there, so have at it, but beware the drivers in this parking lot could learn a thing or two and go back to driver's ed and learn right of way laws. Just sayin. I know they're known for their lettuce wraps, but I'm SO over those. I feel like I've been eating them since I was 15. Enough! Anysteamedrice, the NEW Ramen noodles are reeeeeeeally delicious! I would have liked it a little more spicy, but lots of flavor and huge portion. Eating machine had the kung pao beef and that too was yummy. Oh don't forget the crab wontons.... I mean its Pei Wei...can't go wrong, right? Good, quick place for lunch and even their call in to-go is uber fast! Remember to wear your helmets when in the parking lot.

I am still somewhat down on the food there. It kind of like the McDonalds of Chinese food, where even though you are going to get very consistently the same flavors in the dish every time you order it. It doesn't mean is it going to be mouthwatering. I guess really somewhere between McDonalds and Chilis. If there is a dish you love, you are always going to love it becuase they do an amazing job as good chain restaurants do with the consistency of a dish time after time, visit after visit. I am updating my review to give them 4 stars because of the service. The people walking around asking if you need anything, getting you refills of your drinks, clearing your dishes, bringing to-go boxes. Definitely above and beyond service for a place where you order and get a number.

Dena F.
Uhh...is there meat? Oh there it is. Wow, there's a huge amount of rice and hardly any meat. That sums up the catering experience. Food quality was the same as you get in the restaurant. It was fair to good. But the amount of meat you get is way smaller in proportion. We did not have enough meat to serve everyone in the office, and we did order for the correct number of folks. I had salad and chicken fried rice to conserve. Note, they do NOT deliver. You will be picking your order up. Use the money you save on the delivery fee and order another container of meat.

My roommate had a buy 1 get 1 free entree coupon, so we had a hungover visit to Pei Wei today. With the coupon it was 9 bucks for both of us. The fancy soda machine is the highlight of the restaurant. You have your choice of many, many sodas on a screen. There is also the option to add flavors to your soda. For example, orange coke or vanilla coke zero. Let's get something straight. When I dine at an Americanized Chinese restaurant, I'm there to go all out on a delicious, unhealthy, crappy meal. No, I will not opt for the brown rice. I want everything to be greasy and doused in sauce. A good standard for comparison was the Sesame Chicken -- a dish commonly found at other Americanized Chinese restaurants. Here are a few first world problem complaints: 1. The white meat in the sesame chicken was unacceptably dry. Pretending to make bad food good is not going to fool anyone. Please just use dark meat next time. 2. The batter on the sesame chicken was not thick nor crispy enough. Thicken that batter up and deep fry it like the state fair would. 3. Too much salt. Just too much salt. It was all I could taste. Two stars for the soda machine and the buy one get one free coupon. I don't see myself ever coming back here again.

I don't know why I was in the mood for Pei Wei today. I mean, I've eaten at Pew Wei before in Denton, and it was good, but that was a long time ago. Anyway, I jumped on my Yelp App and found this location nearby. Man, this place was JAMMED!! I'm thinkin' "this is going to take forever"! No so! Within a few minutes I was at the front of the line placing my order for Kong Pao Chicken & hot 'n sour soup, a lunch combo that cost only $6.95!! Super deal - in fact cheaper than subway! I found a seat at the bar and watched 5 hispanic guys cook like crazy! I'm thinkin' "With all these people they're never going to get my order right." Wrong again! My soup came out pronto, and it was really good! Just as I was slurpping the last drop my order arrived. Delicious! I'm sure some people complain because the portions are "small", but for me, it was just right! I hate eating too much at lunch. Makes me sleepy. The portion was just right to satisy my crazy noon-time hunger but not put me over the edge. Very impressed with this place!

I usually order the chicken fried rice and it is usually good... This time only had 4 small pieces of chicken in the whole dinner meal. Was a disappointment and was in a hurry so didn't bring to their attention might want to check when you get yours next time otherwise it is usually pretty good

ugh. as bad as i remember it. i'm asian. the other 2 friends i went with are not. they insisted on pei wei b/c in their very poorly informed opinion, it is good here. this place is cheap chinese mall food, except panda express does it better. and pei wei is wei overpriced, too. i am never wasting my money here again. i'd rather eat stuff from the vending machine.

First time I've eaten at this chain, and please listen carefully - "do not order the Spicy Korean with Tofu and Vegetables and brown rice." It was not spicy, the tofu had this weird brown skin and an odd / fake texture, and the rice was underdone. There was a postiive, though - the vegetables were plentiful, fresh and crispy. The place was packed with people ordering and picking up carryout at 6:30 on a Tuesday, so there must be something good on the menu.
(1)

Consistency, Consistency, Consistency..... that is what I always get from Pei Wei. I appreciate that most of all. If I order something one day, and two week later order it again, it's equally as good each time. For quick bite asian insipred foods it never lets me down. I frequent the Uptown location the most, but would not hesitate to stop any an location when I'm craving chicken lettuce wraps.

Oh how I love Pei Wei's dan dan noodles. . . .but unfortunately that is it. Every other meal that I get is flavorless and dry. The last time I went - the first time I got carryout - I was very disappointed to witness two guys ordering at the counter and getting the rudest/very disrespectful service. The young lady did not move up a SINGLE time - she was too busy playing with her phone. Even when the man tried to pay, he held out his credit card, she held out her hand (of course not looking away from her phone) and he had to put the credit card in her open palm. . . .WTH? RUDE! They need to realize that the people waiting for their order can see behind the counter!

My office mates and I eat here at least once a week and it's usually pretty good. Yesterday my colleagues Asian Chopped Chicken Salad had raw chicken on it. She gets this every time we order and the chicken is always fully cooked. She took it back and spoke with the manager (SE) who said the chicken is always served pink. This was news to my colleague who eats this dish once a week, from this location. While it isn't necessarily dangerous to eat pink chicken (according to the USDA), this particular chicken was not fully cooked yet the manager argued with my colleague about it. Based on this manager's attitude regarding a customer complaint, I can't in good conscience recommend this Pei Wei location to anyone. We will be hitting up the Knox/Henderson Pei Wei from now on.

Usually we go to the Pei Wei at Knox. However, once we had lunch at this location. They served us raw chicken! I'm serious. Raw, uncooked chicken! I had to ask their manager to take it back and cook it again. It was terrible. Definitely will not go back there again.

Oh, Pei Wei. You just never let me down. Last night when I was stuck at work until 8:30... I made a quick call and you had a lovely Chopped Chicken Salad ready and waiting for me when I pulled up not 10 minutes later. And Monday, when the boyfriend's nap ran long and he was starving at 9:00 -- YOU were open until 9:30 and saved his evening. And don't even get me started on that pad thai of yours! I know most people can probably make two meals out of it, but I have yet to be able to stop myself from eating all that spicy cool peanutty goodness in one sitting. Mongolian Beef, Veggie Lo Mein, Chicken Salad Rolls, Blazing Noodles... the list goes on. You're fast, consistent, friendly and affordable... There's a reason I keep coming back over and over.

This place was decent. It wasnt the grease bomb that normal american asian food is but at slight compromise to taste. All the girls in our group seemed to really like the place and the few of us guys were on the same page in that it was good but we were not crazy about it.

I only eat at Pei Wei or PF Changs if I have a craving for Asian food. I think most of the other Asian place are dirty.....ugh! I love Pei Wei's Spicy beef. The meat is so tender and the sauce is spicy, but not too spicy. For an appetizer, the lettuce wraps are amazing. This is a good place to get quality Asian food fast without having a server.

Called in a to-go order. Was given an 'available by' time. Was there on time to pick it up. 20 minutes and 5 customers (who all arrived after me) later - and after I'd asked what was going on - the front girl finally deigned to put my order in with the kitchen. Some guy tried to fix it the whole issue with a coupon. Nah, thanks. Won't be returning. It's not like I'm missing out on great food or anything.

We normally order from the Arlington restaurant but this was closer to work so picked up on my way home. The food is good however we ordered the beef fried rice and shrimp fried rice. The beef fried rice had literally 4 pieces of beef in it and the shrimp fried rice had 5 shrimp in the whole thing! My husband also ordered the beef lo mein and compared to what he gets from the Arlington location there was a significant difference in the amount of meat given. We have never had this issue before so not sure if it is just this location but it was very disappointing.

I think I'm about to go into Pei Wei overload. I've had it on Friday night (take out) and on Saturday for lunch (dine in). One has to make sacrifices in life to appease the yelp gods and to write accurate reviews! Such a delicious sacrifice it was though. Now if only I could get Meg Ryan to jump into the Pei Wei volcano with me... Pei Wei is simply delicious asian-style food in a casual environment. Not really an authentic Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese experience though. I really like the warm and welcoming atmosphere and the open kitchen where you can see flames go up from a half a dozen woks being expertly handled! This is the kind of place where you order at the cash register before sitting down and they bring your food to your table. I've never had bad service at any Pei Wei. They sometimes will take care of bringing drink refills so you don't have to get up and get it yourself. Also, while waiting for your to-go order, they'll offer you a free soft drink of your choice. Cool! I've tried most of their noodle dishes and I like em all (dan dan noodles, yum! Pad Thai, yum yum! Blazing noodles yummy yum yum!) Watch out for the spicy symbol on the menu though if you can't handle the heat. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on they serve. As I said, this ain't your typical Chinese take out /hole in the wall joint, but at least you can be pretty sure they only cook fresh barnyard animals and seafood instead of other critters some might name fido or fluffy! Hint: call ahead for take-out orders. Also, when they get busy, there can be a long wait and the whole place tends to get all smokey from the open kitchen. I also wish their pot stickers were steamed instead of pan fried. But those are my only complaints.

Went here for my 1st time. Ordered Sweet and Sour chicken and some fried won tons. The won tons were good, but ..... .the S&S chicken came and looked delish, but as soon as we cut into a few pieces of chicken it was not fully cooked. Sent it back and they brought us a new order along with two ten dollar gift cards for the inconvience. I thought that was kinda cool. Ambiance is nice, tables a little to squished together for me, but I guess they are trying to squeeze as many people in as they can. Other than that I had a very nice lunch and I would be willing to go back and try it again. Lunch cost us about $15.00 (we split the SS chicken and wontons and had two soda's). A little pricey even splitting it, but overall, not bad for downtown. Try it you might just like it.

It's hard to believe that Pei Wei is related at all to P. F. Chang's. The meals are reasonably priced compared to PFC, but not compared to other (read: better, local) Asian restaurants in the area. This is basically a dressed-up fast food joint.

David L.
Don't confuse this with any sort of authentic Asian food, but I find it quite good. It's got many of P.F. Chang's favorites, like lettuce wraps and Mongolian beef, for cheaper. Also, you order in line, and the food comes much quicker.

Pei Wei's lo mein with tofu and broccoli is the BEST hangover cure. And by "hangover" I mean "stayed up all night with a crying baby." Yeah, I'm not cool enough anymore to get actual hangovers. But after a rough night with baby, Pei Wei offers a great bowl of respite in the middle of a hectic work day. Loaded with noodles (carbs) and tofu (protein), my lo mein dish gave me the fuel I needed not to keel over in a heap of uselessness. And the free Coke? That was a beautiful bonus.

This place is great for inexpensive (Americanized) Chinese food. Would have rated it 5 stars if they delivered.

another not so positive review. the third one in a row. is it me? i doubt it. i got it delivered so i cant really comment on location but the food... i got the vegetarian coconut milk green curry. served with brown rice... my 'curry' did not taste like curry at all. coconut milk nada. could not taste that either. two sad stars.

I love this place for inexpensive delicious food. I usually spend about ten dollars for lunch and walk out of there stuffed....also, keep in mind that the entrees, which are huge, are only six or seven dollars, so this is cheap food and it is very good for what it is, obviously it doesn't compare with what you would find at shanghai's most expensive restaurant or whatever, but that's not what it tries to be. Yes, it's not authentic, but it is good, and that's what I want for a ten dollar lunch. Also, a lot of the reviewers here who are of Asian descent don't like this place because it's not authentic. If you grew up here, you don't know authentic, so give me a break.

Every now & then, I get a hankering for Asian style food. Ok, its more often than that, but sometimes I can't decide on the type of cuisine I want. Do I go Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc.? Well, with a place like Pei Wei, I don't have to decide before heading out to find food. Its perfect for someone with food ADD, which I'm convinced I have. Entrees I've tried: * Spicy Korean - veggies stir fried with a hot pepper sauce - I like this for when I'm craving something different. The pepper sauce adds a twist to otherwise dull vegetables. * Thai Blazing noodles - tomato black pepper sauce, lots of veggies, and rice noodles - Great if you're looking for a thai dish, but you don't want to stick with traditional pad thai. Its a spicy meal but thats part of the charm. * Japanese Teriyaki - This is a pretty typical soy sauce laden option, but I love all of the fresh, crisp vegetables that are included (think cabbage, onions, carrots, etc.). It also comes with your choice of brown or white rice. I usually stick with the brown because of the way it compliments the sweet marinade used in the preparation of it. * Pad Thai - Standard dish with rice noodles, eggs, peanuts, bean spouts, and tofu. There is nothing extraordinary about this pad thai, but its satisfactory nevertheless. I like that they lean heavy on the lime with this one. On most dishes, you have the option of going completely vegetarian, adding tofu, chicken, shrimp, or beef. I oscillate between tofu & chicken for the most part, which are always flavorful and well cooked. My only real complaint is that most of the dishes come drenched in sauce / marinade, and I could stand to have a little less, really. But thats a personal taste thing. Oh, and try the hot sauce that sits up by the beverage area. If you're looking for an extra kick, it'll certainly help. I've really only visited this location for dinner, but its consistently good. Keep in mind, its not authentic, but its tasty. The cashiers and cooks and servers are always friendly & prompt. I doubt I've waited more than a few minutes for my food each time I've gone. Also, maybe this is just for dinner, I've never had trouble finding a seat. Granted, its never empty, but I've never seen the place packed at night. The location is great, too, because you can grab a bite to eat and still be within walking distance of good bars, hotels, and the AAC. When I'm in the area & in need of a quick fix, popping in here is always an option.

I normally hate Pei Wei. I've had horrible experiences here along with awful food. However, I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when I went there for lunch with an old friend. I had the Mongolian Beef with brown rice. It had good flavor with lots of mushrooms and scallions. My only complaint is the beef and brown rice were extremely chewy. My jaw hurt for the rest of the day. But other than that it wasn't bad.

I really wanted to love Pei Wei... Pei Wei was just a tease, getting my hopes up with the delicious Crab Wontons for our appy. But when it came down to what matters, Pei Wei was just a lot of flash with no substance. My Thai Blazing Noodles were really spicy with minimal flavor. The hubster's Thai Coconut Curry was even worse, almost no hint of curry sauce, tons of heat, with zero flavor. Bottom line: Say nay to Pei Wei!

Good clean place to eat, the food is not too oily which is what makes me shy away from so many Asian cuisine places. The Pot stickers are amazing!

To me this is a "Chili's of asian food places. It's not traditional Chinese food you'd find in Richardson, but its not as hideous as "Buffet style either". For the prices, the portions are generous. What I enjoy there -- kung pao chicken and dan dan noodles, hot and sour soup. Note -- for you health food lovers, you can request "steamed chicken" for any chicken dish. I prefer this over the flash fried chicken normally served with kung pao.

Great choice for vegans/vegetarians that like Asian Food. Their tofu is incredible. I always have the Spicy Korean with Tofu. Very yummy.

pei wei is like p.f. changs' little sister. a boot leg, lower end version. but its really good for the money you pay. i like this particular location. the crab rangoon are a great delight

Its not gourmet food by any standard and a diner is not a fancy restaurant...but I LOVE the Thai Blazing noodles...infact I crave them every once in a while :) I dont think i have ever said no to eating here - u must totally try it if u can be unpretentious about where u r eating!

It's just like PF Chang's only faster and less expensive. If you're Jonesing for some Americanized Chinese, I dare you to find something better. Delicious.

2 blocks from work. I like the price and decent portion size. But flavor profile is pretty weak. Not a every week place. Rather a once in a longer while destination. Forget about showing up between Noon and 1pm...line is always out the door. Get there at 11:30 or 1:30 and your plate comes right up.

I have yet to have a bad experience at Pei Wei. This evening, my wife and I went for supper because we wanted something good and fairly quick, while still being not overly expensive. I ordered the Thai Coconut Curry Beef with brown rice, and it did not disappoint. It had a slight spice to it while the creaminess of the sauce kept the hotness of the spice from overwhelming the dish. The beef was cooked perfectly, the green beans had a snap to them, and the onions and peppers were juicy and flavorful. My wife ordered the gluten-free sweet and sour chicken. One great thing about Pei Wei is that they have a very good sized gluten-free menu, so if you have Celiac's disease or some form of gluten sensitive enteropathy (a gluten intolerance) you will most likely be able to find something delicious on the menu. I tried a little of the sweet and sour chicken my wife ordered and it was very good. You would never know that the dish was any different than any other. Overall, another very good experience at Pei Wei.

I love me some Pei Wei! Their Spring Rolls with the sweet chili sauce, OMG! so good! For my meal I stick with the Veggie Lo Mein with Tofu. It's very sweet tasting so if you are not into that you probably won't like Pei Wei. Oh and this location never seems to be that crowded which is odd for a Pei Wei.

I really do like this place. It's right down the street from my apartment and my job, so it's very convenient. I would have given it 4 stars, but once you've had authentic asian food, it's hard to appreciate a knock-off chain. I've had a few dishes here that were all ok. The spring rolls are good, and I LOVE their brown rice. It's relatively cheap, and therefore, is good for being sort of "asian fast food".

Fast food Asian. Very Americanized. Beats McDonalds but Panda China is about the same quality & much less. Just ok to me.

This place is awesome. They have really good food. The one in Dallas, TX and LA are really good. Unfortunately there isn't one in northern CA. If there is, it doesn't show up on the map. We went to LA for July 4th with friends and the day we left, we stopped there for lunch. It was so great! I missed it so much. They have a good variety of choices and the food is so tastey. I love this place. My favorite dish there is the pad thai noodles. I like that dish almost anywhere. Great place to go!

Pei Wei is great for fast and good food. I mean, it's not going to be genuine Asian cuisine and someone looking for real Asian food probably won't be pleased here. But if you just want some good food and don't care what "cuisine" category it falls under, come here! Service is fast, accurate, it's a clean and pleasant environment and it's reasonably priced. Don't go during lunch hours or you won't have anywhere to sit; it gets real busy!

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

(4)Dolores E.
(3)Nhi H.
It's Pei Wei. You won't come here expecting the best Chinese food. It's almost a back up plan when you don't know what else to eat. Their menu seems to have simplified to choice of sauce, meat & rice/noodle. I liked their old menu that had a curry dish on it. The Thai Dynamite Chicken was over sauced and over salted (probably MSG). I don't know why I thought the chicken would be sautéed and not fried. Some parts of my brown rice had this weird flavor to it. I couldn't pin point what it was, but it was very displeasing. Glad it has parking spots just for take out customers.
(3)Steve L.
(1)Lily M.
(3)Byron S.
Enjoy!
(4)Vee S.
(1)Eric C.
(4)Zee S.
(3)Nick W.
They got my order wrong after i explicitly told them my exact order but i still got beef. I expect some level of competence when i am paying 15$ for my meal, i would not recommend
(1)Jason B.
Nothing special but good.
(3)Andrew B.
(4)Gary P.
Great spicy chicken but it seems like the chicken portion is getting small. Little more sauce next time would be better so the rice would not be dry. Kids love the new Coke machines!
(4)Lauryn D.
(3)Kaia V.
(4)Ashley J.
Asian fusion chain restaurant. I can't really complain, it is tasty... the ingredients are fresh and it comes out super fast!
(3)Gabrielle P.
Awful. I'm not sure why this chain is so popular. It's tastes like a frozen/microwaveable dinner. Over-priced for such a low quality food. Dallas needs better Chinese.
(1)Urvi P.
(4)Tom K.
Fresh, healthy, very tasty food and a manager/owner who cares about his customers.
(5)Paul P.
Awesome Customer Service! David did outstanding job with understanding my order mix up, was extremely helpful & replaced my new order quickly & topped it off with a $10 gift card! Well definitely return! :)
(5)Lemmonhead X.
(1)Leo S.
Always a fan of this place!
(4)Paulina R.
(4)Jacqueline C.
(2)Shane L.
Great food and great service. Always busy in here but you don't feel rushed
(5)Jen B.
(2)Jennifer S.
This place is always consistently good. The staff is friendly, service is super fast for as busy as they get and the food is tasty! I enjoyed my normal...the honey seared chicken combo with a spring roll. Great place to grab a quick lunch in Uptown!
(4)Shanna C.
(4)Ray C.
As usual good food, but the dining room is a bit cold. Still, I will return and order the Thai Lime and Chile chicken. It was great.
(5)Grace K.
(4)Kristie A.
(3)Kent H.
(3)Anne S.
(2)Cella B.
(3)Yu H.
(2)Big D.
(2)Peter L.

Chinese food that's a couple steps above panda express. It's great to pick up a quick lunch or dinner for take out
(4)Stuart B.
"The food is the same as PF Changs, but you Pei Wei less!" - The Chad
(4)Jesse R.
We got the sesame chicken and Thai coconut curry. OK tasting, but there was WAY too much rice and not nearly enough veggies.
(2)James W.

Not "authentic" but who cares. It's delicious. Always a good time for chicken lettuce wraps.

(4)Brandon S.
I usually order the chicken fried rice and it is usually good... This time only had 4 small pieces of chicken in the whole dinner meal. Was a disappointment and was in a hurry so didn't bring to their attention might want to check when you get yours next time otherwise it is usually pretty good
(1)Diana D.
ugh. as bad as i remember it. i'm asian. the other 2 friends i went with are not. they insisted on pei wei b/c in their very poorly informed opinion, it is good here. this place is cheap chinese mall food, except panda express does it better. and pei wei is wei overpriced, too. i am never wasting my money here again. i'd rather eat stuff from the vending machine.
(1)Kate F.
(1)Christina M.
(4)Julia B.

(1)Yelp U.
Usually we go to the Pei Wei at Knox. However, once we had lunch at this location. They served us raw chicken! I'm serious. Raw, uncooked chicken! I had to ask their manager to take it back and cook it again. It was terrible. Definitely will not go back there again.
(1)Lisa R.
(5)Stephen E.
This place was decent. It wasnt the grease bomb that normal american asian food is but at slight compromise to taste. All the girls in our group seemed to really like the place and the few of us guys were on the same page in that it was good but we were not crazy about it.
(3)Liana K.
(4)R G.
(1)Jaclyn M.

(2)David L.
Don't confuse this with any sort of authentic Asian food, but I find it quite good. It's got many of P.F. Chang's favorites, like lettuce wraps and Mongolian beef, for cheaper. Also, you order in line, and the food comes much quicker.
(4)Stephanie H.
(5)Greg K.
This place is great for inexpensive (Americanized) Chinese food. Would have rated it 5 stars if they delivered.
(4)Ac A.
I was just not too impressed with this place. Ive had better Asian Dishes else where
(2)Joseluis A.
another not so positive review. the third one in a row. is it me? i doubt it. i got it delivered so i cant really comment on location but the food... i got the vegetarian coconut milk green curry. served with brown rice... my 'curry' did not taste like curry at all. coconut milk nada. could not taste that either. two sad stars.
(2)Speedy G.

(3)Azmina A.
(2)Bryan R.
Good clean place to eat, the food is not too oily which is what makes me shy away from so many Asian cuisine places. The Pot stickers are amazing!
(4)Connor G.
(3)Maria H.
Great choice for vegans/vegetarians that like Asian Food. Their tofu is incredible. I always have the Spicy Korean with Tofu. Very yummy.
(4)Chad S.
Great lunch spot if you're in to Americanized Asian food! The line moves fast, an there is plenty of parking below.
(4)Mykie D.
pei wei is like p.f. changs' little sister. a boot leg, lower end version. but its really good for the money you pay. i like this particular location. the crab rangoon are a great delight
(4)Seema K.
Its not gourmet food by any standard and a diner is not a fancy restaurant...but I LOVE the Thai Blazing noodles...infact I crave them every once in a while :) I dont think i have ever said no to eating here - u must totally try it if u can be unpretentious about where u r eating!
(3)Chris W.
It's just like PF Chang's only faster and less expensive. If you're Jonesing for some Americanized Chinese, I dare you to find something better. Delicious.
(4)Mike B.
(3)Matthew K.
(4)Emalie A.
(4)Jessica H.
(3)Teresa L.
Fast food Asian. Very Americanized. Beats McDonalds but Panda China is about the same quality & much less. Just ok to me.
(2)N N.
(4)Siva H.
