    Oh, Saucer, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Beer, beer, beer, free dill popcorn (addictive), waitresses that KNOW beer and can almost always offer great advice, beer, beer, beer... Love this place. How could you not? Wooonderful beer selection, both draft and bottle. Pretty dang good food. Only knocks: sometimes service is spotty (they can get veeeery busy) and the parking lot SUCKS. I wish I could review the parking lot on its own to give it zero stars. The El Fenix next door is jealous and their rent-a-cop polices "their side" of the lot, which always has tons of open spaces. Alas, if they'd fix the parking, I'd give it 5 stars...

    As far as the beer is concerned, there is a great selection and I give it 5 stars. However, regrettably I cannot give the full five for two main reasons: The service is extremely slow. Upon my first visit I only saw my waitress maybe twice and during my second had to flag her down twice to reorder beer. Secondly, the food is extremely sub-par. I had the hummus and pita which was fairly decent. The spinach and artichoke dip was chunky and cold and the club sandwich was just a miss entirely. I've heard the one in fort worth is better so I wouldn't write it off completely. I will still be returning for the beer but that is it.

    The Flying Saucer was a huge part of my beer learning experience, offering flights and a huge variety. I can't give it 5 stars becasue of inconsistent service and poor inventory management, but I still highly recommend the Saucer to people that want to just hang out (I meet a lot of interesting folks here) and anyone that has always wanted to learn more about beer in general. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT was most of the 5th star I couldn't give as they are ALWAYS out of something that I order. The UFO club is cool, but what's in the computer doesn't match what they actually have which doesn't match their paper menus. Inventory control is "difficult", right? But this is 2011. It is very manageable - they just don't execute at all in this category. Very discouraging to print out paper slips only to find out they've been out of that beer for weeks, or want to order a beer I know they have only to not be able to find a paper slip to print out. This could be WAY better. SERVICE - some guys go just because of the cute waitresses in bobby socks and plaid skirts, but I end up going despite those girls as most of them are oversat and incapable of providing timely service. Not necessarily their fault (some of them, yeah - not great) but worth knowing before you go so you're not disappointed if it takes a long time to get your order. FOOD - pretty decent, especially for "bar food". Don't confuse that with the Moth or anything, please, but there are some solid choices: my favorite is the giant pretzel drizzled with cheese and german sausage, served with spicy mustard BEER - hundreds of beers available from all over the world. Hard to find anything TRULY unique and special (like the Moth or the Common Table), but a really solid selection of non-standard beers. PARKING - horrible. Absolutely horrible. Don't park in El Fenix or you'll get towed, by the way. Confusing to know where it's ok to park outside of their limited area - no decent signage. The signs you do see imply that you're not allowed to park there like across the street in the area where Sherlock's is, so you end up parking and hoping. CLUB - join the UFO club and track beers you've tried. When you've tried 200 different ones, the Saucer adds a plate on the wall in your honor and throws you a party FLIGHTS - many flights to choose from, or build your own beer flight to sample multiple beers side by side

    Went on a Friday night with the wife after seeing it on "Drinking made easy" and the parking lot was pretty jammed up. I actually thought I landed a spot but was then kicked out by a security guard for parking in the next door El Fenix's area. Other then that, kind of a loud place. Not overly loud but definitely not a place to enjoy a conversation. I got the brat plate and was pleasantly surprised. The brats were delicious and it came along w/ sauerkraut and warm german potato salad. The pretzels we ordered as an app were also delicious and that along w/ the pilsner I tried (300 hundred beers on tap? what they're famous for) made for a nice culinary experience. I'd go back to enjoy a beer and get the brats again, but might bring some ear plugs. The waitresses also dress in school girl outfits, so guys, ensure your game face is on if bringing the old lady, lol....

    Waitress was awesome!!! Beer choices were endless and affordable. Multiple tvs with different football games ,on which made our group who did not agree on a team (go bears!!!) very happy. Food was great. Bar was clean. Windows opened which made it easy to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Overall one of the best places we have found so far in Addison. Plus the had internet and places you could charge your devices! We will be returning here!

    So many beers on tap! They've got so many beers, it may be overwhelming to you. I'm from San Diego, which is beer central, and this was the kind of place that reminds me of home. I was there on a Friday night and they also had live music, which is a plus. I got one the Texas Flight and when it came out, they were all big samplers (about 6 oz); it did not disappoint. Everything IS bigger in TX! Join the UFO club if you know you'll be back. I wish there were a flying saucer in San Diego. There's no way I'd hit the 200 beer mark here, but I'll be back to continue the journey.

    I go to the Flying Saucer everyday. OK, maybe not everyday, but I go there a lot. Besides being a fun place with a HUGE beer selection, I'm going there often in order to meet my goal. My goal you ask? It's to drink 200 beers and get my name on one of those plates on the wall. As of now, I'm about 1/4 of the way through, so I have a ways to go. Wednesdays at the Saucer are fun because it's glass night. Once a month there is even a commemorative glass that's usually a pretty cool souvenir. You can check the calendar on their website to see what's going on each day. Be sure to take advantage of the "fire sale" which offers a specific beer at a reduced price. Besides the beer, the Saucer serves a variety of food items. It's a decent bar menu (try the Rocket Tots). On the plus side, they offer free great, seasoned popcorn. The Flying Saucer is a cool place to hang out and enjoy beer. They do have some wine, but come on, this is a beer place.

    We went to this bar expecting a certain decor (given the name you can probably guess), and we were amused it was in a completely different, though still accurate, given the name, fashion. The beer selection is so extensive it's almost overwhelming. Thankfully, they have handy menus with all the beers categorized by style and clearly marked if they are available by draft or bottle. Between my friend and I we sampled 6 beers, and they all were excellent. Mr friend also complained about a lack of good places for buffalo wings in Dallas, so when we saw them on the menu we HAD to try them. And they were pretty good! Not the best I've had, but very good. There was a live band that was quite decent, and dart boards in one corner you can play for free. Very cool bar overall.

    They have every beer imaginable to mankind and than some!!! Whatever your heart desires to whatever you would never ever drink again, that's okay since if its your first visit the servers will get you some nice serving samples like those yogurt shops to make you happy?! As if drinking beers wouldn't make you happy enough to let yourself loose!! Any hows, this establishment has belgian beers, stouts, drafts, bottles, and the most AMAZING PRETZELS that you have to try so come with an appetite for beers and appetizers!!!

    Their food is average bar food and the place is usually packed during the weekends, but they do have one of the largest beer selections in DFW. It's a great place to try new beers or get recommendations from the knowledgeable staff and/or regulars there. It's everything you could want from a pub- comfy couches or picnic tables, darts, and beer galore. Oh and almost forgot, $3 pint night on Mondays!

    Went there on a Monday night, which happy to say was $3 pint night. My friend and I aren't big beer drinkers so the waitress let us try several ciders, etc. She helped us find the perfect drink. It was crowded and loud, which we liked. The place has a great vibe and I look forward to returning.

    Such a fun place to go! Awesome atmosphere, sky's the limit when it comes to the beers, and the best pretzels to go with your beer! Served fresh and warm with hot mustard. Nom! Great and helpful service especially when you're not sure which new beers to try. I was impressed by our waitress because she was able to determine the difference in our beers by smelling them! How cool is that?! We will be visiting again soon, and you should too!

    Fun after work spot with good beer selection, decent snacks, nice variety of seating options, and good mix of music. Not a place with a strong vibe of its own, but that's what makes it good for a group of coworkers or friends from different parts of your life. Easy place to mingle and meet new people (at the bar) or just stay with your group (at the picnic type tables).

    Most bars in Dallas don't have anything much better than Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Light, which unfortunately for me, I don't care to waste precious beer calories on those beers. So, the Flying Saucer is my go-to bar while I'm visiting my family in Dallas. The Flying Saucer has a list of ONE BILLION BEERS. Ok, maybe not that many but enough to feel slightly overwhelmed by the menu if you aren't familiar with different styles of beers. I sat at the bar and the bartenders are pretty helpful if you aren't sure what to order. Not that I have that problem. ;-) I got a super cute tshirt here too! Minus one star for smoking.

    I had always heard about this place but finally got to visit recently for ugly sweater party. I was surprised because I think I had aliens in mind as a theme ( the flying saucer....UFO...no? Oh well) however instead of other worldly it was other country...Germany that is. The menu is based on German fare...brats, schnitzels things like that. Which is great, I however just don't jump excited at that type of food so I settled for chicken tenders and fries, which were very good all things considered. Hey, I needed something on my tummy because with a Beer menu that boasts over 200 flavors......I knew i was gonna be blaming something on the alcohol that night. I love beer....omg I love it. And this is the pale I need to be to expand my taste buds for that passion. The menu breaks your choices down by type : wheat, pale ale, lager....and if you have any questions your server should be very knowledgeable regarding anything beer. I had the sierra Nevada ( which was on "fire sale" for $3 a pint that night) It was a bitter wheat beer, which was fantastic, just don't let it sit too long....after that I went to old faithful and stuck to her the rest of the evening: blue moon! Yum. Cute bartenders......check! Fun crowd....check! Tuesday trivia! Heck yeah!! Monday night $3 pints. Annnnnnd a beerknurd club....$18 buy in, u get a shirt and card, and when u visit it keeps tabs on the beer you try. Once you've tried 200 you get to go into the "ring of honor".....u get a plate that goes on the wall:) I want one! So I'll see you there umkay!!?

    Oh Flying Saucer, how I miss you! I only started going to Flying Saucer in February of 2011 with a new co-worker and he immediately talked me in to joining the UFO Club. Neither of us knew the place had food when we went there on our lunch break for the first time (we were going for a liquid lunch) but we ordered something anyway. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the food here is AWESOME! We started going at least 3 times a week and even dragged more and more of our co-workers with us. This quickly turned into our normal spot and we started going for lunch and going back at night, especially for trivia on Tuesday nights! The host is hilarious. The beer selection is always great and I've tried and found so many new beers because of the UFO club. Most of the (hot) waitresses are pretty knowledgable about the beers and can help you pick out something good. They are usually pretty honest about some of the bad beers, but if you wanna get your plate on the wall, you've gotta drink a shitty beer or two. I almost always ordered the same thing to eat for lunch, the Space Club, but there are so many other good choices too! Try all of the sandwiches, the bacon cheddar fries, pizza or pretzels. Here are a few good tips: 1. If you frequent Saucer for lunch, get a punch card so your 8th lunch is free. 2. Join the UFO Club to try 200 beers and get your plate on the wall. You also get a t-shirt when you start, a free beer at 50 beers, a free large beer at 100 beers, a free beer on your birthday and a $100 party for you and your friends when you reach 200 beers. 3. Ask about the fire sale -a $3 pint special every day. So sad I moved to San Diego before I could finish my 200th beer. I think I am at 120ish. The Flying Saucer will be one of the first places I go when I get a chance to visit home!

    I've come to the Flying Saucer for a while now. Great beer selection, food is yummy (bratzel ftw! pretzel + bratwurst = delicious), service is alright. I'm not the biggest fan of young girls wearing belts for skirts, but that works for some people. The one major complaint I have about this place is the parking. Oftentimes I'll make plans to come here after work - usually around 4:30 p.m. as I work across the street a little ways (West side of Arapaho and the Tollway), but more often than not end up changing my plans because parking is horrendous. I'll drive around for about 15 minutes trying to find a spot before getting disheartened and usually end up at the Londoner. El Fenix almost always has open parking but they do tow. If you're there early enough enjoy beers from around the world, otherwise I would just pick somewhere else to go.

    If you like beer, you will like the saucer. There's really not much more to be said in regards to this great tap house. Service is generally good with girls that know their beers. I've had servers that amaze me and delight my palate. On the other hand, I've also had some duds that are confused and don't know what's going on. I think that's general for any bar. Parking around this place blows, as El Fenix hires a parking nazi to protect their bajillion spots and prevent you from parking there. They are quick too because if you park, they will be at your door before you can close it. I've always parked across the street near TGIF and have never had an issue. I saw a valet stand yesterday, but valet at the saucer just seems wrong. Food is pretty good, I love the rocket tots! I thought in the past they were more tater tot-ish, you know, with that texture. But let's be serious, I still scarfed them down anyway. Suck up the parking and try out the saucer if you haven't already. And if you don't like beer, drink Ace Pear to ease yourself into the wonderful world of brew.

    I really like all the Saucers-and this was the first one I ever visited. The beer selection at this one is great. The servers are generally pretty helpful. The food at this location is not as good as the one on the lake-but it's not bad. I always try to take advantage of the fire sale beer(3.00 a pint) and on Mondays that goes for almost all the drafts. Great deal. Parking can be problematic -don't park in spaces marked for other establishments as they are not afraid to tow. If you love your beer-and if you are reading this we will assume you do- this place is an absolute must when you are up Addison way!

    The 'UFO' is pretty legit. Been coming in here since 2003. Cool atmosphere and a great selection of beers. I love hanging out here when the weather is nice and the windows and doors are open. I should have joined the frequent beer club years ago (when I still lived up north), would've had 3 plates by now, oh well. Fire Sale is always a good deal. Each day they have a featured pint for 3.00, and Monday (I think) the fire sale includes almost all of the pints, except for Belgian and a few others, for 3.00! What a steal! I don't get here as much as I used to. Service can be slow sometimes, and lately the beer hasn't been cold at all, but I think I may go for a Fullers ESB right now.

    Working at a brewery, I always take advice from one of the best brewers in the nation! So I ended up at The Flying Saucer while staying near Dallas. I will admit, I had already indulged a bit, so this was slightly overwhelming, but well worth it. I was not sure what to think when I walked in. Plates all over the walls and ceiling? Oh wait...saucers! The interior reminded me of a family owned German restaurant (not really sure why, but go there to see if you agree). However, the quality, yet way too loud Jazz band threw me off (could not hold a conversation, but enjoyed the music). They have ample seating at tables and at the bar, and have a great open section for darts! It may have been a good thing that it was so loud, because I had to spend the first 20 minutes ignoring my group to read the beer menu. Yes, a good problem to have, but a little out of control! The menu is 4 pages long, resembling a newspaper. Arranged by style, there were hundreds of beers to choose from on tap or bottle. (I am pretty sure if you stand at one end of the tap line, you can't see the other end.) They do have fantastic sampler options if you are indecisive! Now, some of the prices went a little overboard, but I am sure they can do it considering their holy beer-bar status. All in all, you need to make about 80 trips here to try all of the beers! We only had a late-night snack, but were well satisfied with the pizza and tater-tots. Yes, tater-tots! Please have them if you are here. The service was efficient considering how busy it was. I am not sure if it was friendly or not, because our server was getting annihilated! She got us what we needed with no complaints. I could only imagine how much money they make on a busy night! This makes my top ten beer bars. I am not sure when I will make the trek back to this area of the country, but when I do, I will be here! Until then, please go back for me. Thanks!

    looks small and old from the outside but don't let it fool you... it's a cool wood-sy decor bar...100 types of beer on tab....and over 150 types of beers in bottles....what can you ask for more? maybe LCD HDTVs? free pop-corn? live bands at times? a cool membership system where you can earn things? what about Dart boards?.......you ask for it you got it!!!....this place is really a cool hang in Addison on beltline road it's right behind the Twin Peaks and El Fenix....a bit hidding yes but a true treasure! fire sale gives a different beer of the day a cheap price =) and you may collect 3 types of different beer on your membership per day...(a bit low yes) and it does get a bit smokey in here....thus the -1 star but they do have a semi open patio in the front with TVs and a rear patio lounge with arcades and rarely have we gotten slow service here usually the pop corns are hot and our beer boots are never empty! good times!!!

    I haven't written a review of the flying saucer? How is that possible. The Saucer is quite simply my favorite place to grab a beer. The greatness of this place is easily summarized: - the BEST beer selection in town. Period. Flying Saucer was offering 100+ beers way before it was "cool" to drink microbrews, and they still do it better than anyone else. - Laid back, chill vibe. No liqour = no frou-frou cocktails = no plastics/addison cougars/fratastic douchebags. Beer drinkers are friendly, amicable, unpretentious people by and large. - Rocket-tots. Fried potato-cheese-jalapeno greatness. - Trivia Night. Come on Tuesday night and make fun of Patrick's mom.

    I'll give the pros and cons that I've noticed over the years. First off, I like this place. Food is above average for a bar. Their ruben sandwich is great. The bartenders and mgmt are very friendly and attentive to their regulars. And of course the selection is solid. Cons(which I suspect is dictated by ownership and not mgmt): I wish they wouldn't put so much of a head on their beers and quit using those stupid snifters. Reaks of penny pinching. I also don't understand why their cask ales are cold. Waitresses would also be hotter if they weren't forced to wear those terrible uniforms. Overall: 4 stars despite the cons.

    You can't beat the UFO. We cut our teeth on Chimay, Duvel, and Franziskaner, YEARS before Coors ever got off their ass to make Blue Moon. We sat ass to ass on the uncomfortable benches, slowly watching the world go by. Y2k, 911, Iraq, THE IPOD. Bruja playing Thursday nights, stupid loud trivia contest. That one friend that had to join the damn beer club, and roped everyone else into it. The lone lifer, I can't remember his name, that still sits there with his laptop. The best thing about this place is the history. Names on plates, man. Names on plates.

That what knocks the five stars to four stars. This place is really great, though. If you read this review, please send me a gift card from this great Addison establishment.

    Flying Saucer is a great place to chill and have a beer. They have $3 fire sale pints everyday (even Saturdays) and the waitresses are always nice. I have gone with a friend on a weeknight and on a Saturday. The weeknight was chill, but still lively. Try the warm pretzels with queso. Oh my God...to die for. They have an awesome selection of beer and the waitresses are always nice and knowledgable. There is no smoking inside, and they have a live band on Saturdays. They also have darts and a few different areas for seating depending on what you are looking for. There is a $3 cover when they have a live band, but it's worth it. My friend and I love this place all the time. We've never had a bad experience. This is a chill place for sure, although, it's not a sports bar. It's a talk with your friends while having a beer and good food bar.

    The extensive beer selection was impressive! All my favorites in one place was like heaven (anchor steam, Sam adams Octoberfest, ect). Cozy up to the bar because the bartenders are friendly and have great knowledge/suggestions. Just had drinks so the five stars is strictly about the beer and service- but I'll definitely return and try the rest the next time I'm in Texas!

    I haven't been to Flying Saucer in eons, not because this place isn't great but because it is in Addison and we all know what a snob I am when it comes to venturing outside the loop. But my friend scheduled her birthday here so outside the loop I went. First thing: parking here is fucking atrocious on a weekend night. No spots and people circling the parking lot like sharks circling a stranded scuba diver. You will see an empty spot that is marked El Fenix parking only and will consider just parking there. "They will never know!" Yes they will and they will tow you (or so I hear). We ended up parking across the street at TGIFridays which I am sure isn't really kosher either but whatever, we were sick of looking at that point. Bar is a great pub atmosphere - if you've been to one Flying Saucer then you know what I mean. Tons of beer on tap and in bottle, casual yet surprisingly lively crowd, certain nights for trivia and live bands, and happy hour specials. They do NOT have liquor so you are going to have to pretty much be a beer person to come here (perhaps they have a couple of wines though, I am not sure on that though). My friend reserved a private room for her birthday. When you come in and look to your left there's a room for parties. Seating is all couches, there are a couple of TVs for game watching, a few video games, a table to set up appetizers if you ordered them, etc. I liked how they had signs up on the door as well as on the coffee tables saying that it was reserved at 8pm. It worked great for keeping our room from being taken over by other less cool patrons (hehe). Also, for me, one of the greatest things about going to Addison: you can smoke inside. For now anyway. Smoke 'em if you got 'em. Our waitress was great and she handled the entire party without ever dropping the ball. My Stella was full every time I turned around and everyone else seemed to be pleased with the service. I tried some appetizers and I have to say - that pretzel they serve there is awesome. Not hard and dry like the ones you get at the ballgame, but soft and bready throughout the entire thing. Eat it with the spicy mustard and you will love it, I promise! Spinach dip was decent as well. Overall fun bar with a casual and laid back atmosphere - I'll be back. Well, I'll be back when someone invites me and offers to drive me there. HA!

    Ah, for me this is where it all began, in sooo many ways. The Flying Saucer is where I met my two loves: my girl and beer. I won't go on with the particulars of how both of those loves have grown over time, but instead tell you this place rocks, here's why. Specials - Out of all the beer bars I have been to, they have the best, most consistent specials. Monday is Pint Night, so nearly all of their hundred or so beers are $3 a pint. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere. They have Tuesday Trivia nights, some solid cover bands on the weekends (typically $3 cover) and Brewery Nights where a specific brewery is featured and yet get to keep the glass if you buy that particular beer. They also have a daily Fire Sale beer, which is typically $2.75 and never a let down. Selection - There are at least 100 to 200 different beers to choose from between the extensive bottle and tap selection here. They are constantly rotating different brews so you can always find something new and tantalizing each time you come here. As far as variety goes, you can't beat the Saucer. Service - The girls at the Flying Saucer are top notch! They may dress in short kilts, but don't expect a ditzy girl that's going to just sit next to you and tell you how thirsty you look. These chicks know beer, possibly even better than you do. They are more than helpful if you can't make up your mind, and just may get you outside of your beer comfort zone if the words "Belgian" or "IPA" mean nothing to you. In so many words, the Flying Saucer is the ultimate go-to bar for a night out with friends or even a quiet night of drinking with a loved one. They don't serve liquor, so if you want your Jagerbomb or tequila shot fix, you'll have to step over to Logan's or Sherlock's, both within easy stumbling distance. I would just stay right there on the bench, order another round, and enjoy the other-worldliness of the Flying Saucer.

They have a good selection of beer, however it's mostly the stuff you can acquire via Glazer's, so there's nothing really "rare" here so to speak. The upside is that they have most of these varieties on tap versus in bottle or can, which is a huge plus. I normally take advantage of the fire sale because I tend to vanquish 6-10 pints, and at around $3 each, that's a huge savings. The food isn't great, but for a bar it's decent, and the portions are relatively generous. The trivia show can be fun, but it's overly vulgar and too loud at times. Keep in mind almost everybody answers these questions "open book", so if you play for real be prepared to lose every round, which is still tons of FUN! I find that their selection is severely lacking when it comes to German beers for a place with so much on tap. I'd like to see at least something like Jever Pils on tap, and maybe Erdinger Weissbier Kristallklar; both of which are not hard to obtain. I find that the bathrooms are also rather small given how busy the place can get. Since they practically only serve beer, you can be assured that many patrons will be using the facilities. The menus state that there can be a two beer a hour limit imposed on you as well as a 6 pint maximum per sitting, I've never seen this enforced, but it's somewhat humorous. My overall impressions are as such: It's a good place to grab a beer, but it will never be a place where you could have a stammtisch or even an in depth conversation with somebody. So it's great for a mindless night of beer drinking, but not much else.

    On beer selection and Monday night specials (the exorbitant amount of $2.75 pints) this place is by far the best beer bar I've been to - even out doing the Houston and Austin Flying Saucers. Classic pub feel, and I love it. For a light bite, I'd go with the smoked salmon wrap, lots of crispy lettuce with the very tasty salmon. Something more meaty? I'd go with the chicken quesadillas, tasty and crispy, like they're supposed to be. The brats are rather flat, like cheap supermarket ones; definitely don't recommend those. Don't forget to ask for their popcorn - it's free and you only get it if you ASK! It's got a crazy good seasoning on it that I'm fairly sure contains garlic powder, but I don't know what else. Waitresses are required (I asked) to wear plaid mini skirts (but not thigh highs!) and a flying saucer top (which girls, you can buy, I love my 'beer goddess' one). But don't let their appearance deceive you, MOST are truly beer goddesses and are all-knowing about beer. Take their recommendations. The downside? They won't change TV station. Bring friends instead.

    The Flying Saucer was the definitive happy hour for me and my friends every Wednesday night before they moved away and I migrated over to Vernon's. We'd meet up, and check the computer for our untasted beer selections. See, before we became crazy about FS, we'd pop in once in a while and then we decided to join the U.F.O. Club, which is how you get your name on the plates on the wall. It took me just over one year to get my plate, and I still like to go in and visit it. The beer selection? Well, what'd ya want? They probably have it. Several choices of draft beer, and what they don't have on draft they have in a bottle. I was overwhelmed the first time I went in there because they have so many beers. They had beers I never even heard of before. That was before we got down to the plate contest and tried them all. Well, not all of them but 200!! The food at FS is usually rather good. I'm a fan of the pizza, and I still maintain that the Big Dipper sandwich is one of the best in Dallas. I also enjoy the "build your own snack plate" where you can choose from different cheeses and meats. The service is either really really great or you're spending most of your time looking for your waitress. This is due to it being crowded and packed to the rafters during happy hours, lunch, and weekends when they have live music. Wednesday night is pint glass night where you can buy the pint glass of the evening and get the beer for free. I've a rather large collection of pint glasses. Tuesday nights they have trivia, which is also popular. Parking is usually a problem - the angry security guy will ask you to move if you park in El Chico's lot. - and space is limited. Plus, they have free Wi-Fi, so you can grab your lap top and show all the bar patrons your drunken Facebook pictures. Or ya know, work... I'm a huge fan of Flying Saucer, and if you stop by, tell my plate hello.

    I don't want to hate on this place, but I really wasn't blown away. Yes, they do have an impressive number of beers on tap and an alright selection of food. We had the fries, and they were good but nothing to write home about. Generally speaking, this place has plenty of franchise warning signs, one of them being the employees' plaid mini-skirt uniform that is mildly reminiscent of the "pieces of flair" bit from Office Space. This is a turn-off for me. Towards the end of our time, a very mediocre band came on and made conversation impossible. I'd be willing to go again, but I won't be making any trips to Addison for it.

    I love the beer and atmosphere! Can't beat $2.75 pint specials(although, I think they just raised the prices $3.00) DO NOT park in other parking lots as they are being watched and your car will get towed. Only 4 stars for this location because the beer selection is quite lacking compared to the other 4 Flying Saucer locations I've visited and the women's bathroom is SO bad it's sad. Lady's love beer too, folks, but we need a decent place tinkle and wash our hands. Bring hand sanitizer if you like to wash your hands after the potty as the water in the bathroom sink is SCALDING HOT and it's impossible to wash your hands in it (I hope the waitresses have a place to wash hands in the kitchen instead?) Nonetheless, the place is still good enough that I keep coming back and soon, I will have a plate on the wall from my U.F.O. card logged beer. I just make sure and hold out to "break the seal" until I get home.

    I was sitting in the hotel bar getting some food the first night I was in Dallas, and I was chatting with the person sitting next to me. I mentioned that I was sort of a beer snob, and I was looking for a good place to get one at. The fellow suggested the Flying Saucer, so I decided to try it. Wow, am I glad I did!! The waitress quickly came over after I took my seat, and asked me what I wanted to drink... well if you've ever been here, you can see from the beer menu there is no easy selection. I asked her for a recommendation for a strong ale, and she came out with some weird ass one. It was delicious. I ordered the White Chicken Pizza slice and some Tots... both were great. Service was overall excellent as well!

    I have been to the Flying Saucer in Addison and usually enjoy for what it is: a brew pub with a decent, very varied menu. They serve over 200 types of beer and offer flights as well as a tasting club for die-hard beer drinkers. The atmosphere is pub-like--dark and dank with a lingering smell of dirty ashtrays. Service tends to border on average to good, but never excellent. The girls working there wear short, pleated plaid skirts, but many of them should not be wearing them. Kind of a Hooters-esque B team. The "Rocket-Tots" are beyond amazing--a definite "must try" for $4.99. The head manager seems to be a bit of a prick, lacking in social skills and basic customer service etiquette, but the other staff seems pretty on the ball. Don't expect too much out of this place, but if you're looking to kick back and enjoy your friends over beer and apps the Flying Saucer is definitely worth checking out. Side-note: If you do not like smelling like last night's pack of cigarettes, it would be best not to wear your favorite dry-clean only clothes. The stank permeates and lingers in hair and clothing.

    For the few people in Dallas who still dont know about this place - its an amazing place for beer drinkers. Way too many varieties to choose from. Nice casual atmosphere, great service and decent bar food. The only minor compaints I have are - the music is a little too loud. Maybe I am getting old :) And the draught beers for the most part are not ice cold. They are cold but I love it when the glass itself is chilled and the beer is a few degrees above freezing.

    Great selection of beer in a fun atmosphere. Their cheese fries are REALLY good after you've had a couple of drinks! Fun place to meet up with friends, though hearing your conversations can be quite challenging because, of course, you're in a bar and it is LOUD. Finding a place to park can be a pain and the layout inside could be better, but it's still a fun place to go, if for nothing else than for their huge selection of beer.

    I like this place. Wait. I looooove this place! Flying Saucer adds a great low-key atmosphere to the Addison bar scene and I just wish there were more places like it. I can most always score a great table, the waitresses are always efficient and knowledgeable, and they have decent prices that won't leave you bankrupt...especially if you hit it on Pint Night or happy hour. Zing! Trivia Tuesday is my favorite night to visit my ole watering hole. I would say get there early, definitely before 7:30 if you want to grab a great seat for the action. Grab your papers and pencils boy and girls, and be prepared to laugh your toosh off at the emcee conducting trivia. He's really a one of a kind dude. And PLEASE, PLEASE take his warning before it starts: If you're easily offended or have kiddos in tow (which I don't know why you would in the first place here), LEAVE. The food is pretty darn good too. Trust me, just order the rocket tots with a bowl of queso and chips. Then dip the tots in the queso and you've got yourself a winner. Saucer, I'll see you soon my friend. I miss you already, and it's only been 16 hours.

Also, the bratzel is freakin' delicious and I crave it basically daily, I hate the fact that this place is in Addison though, don't people know that suburbs suck and downtown Dallas is where they need to be at? I never get that cozy bar feel inside. Plus they have a really lousy half patio.     I am a fan of The Flying Saucer in Downtown Houston (full bar, don't mind if I do). I'm an even bigger fan of The Flying Saucer in San Antonio (big, open inside and a good sized outdoor section). But revisiting The Flying Saucer in Addison last night reminded me how much this location is lacking compared to the others. I couldn't tell you exactly why this Flying Saucer location is a little off--maybe it's the weird seating arrangement here, the fact the guy-to-girl ratio is always 15-to-1 (including waitresses), the random (bad) live music that occasionally plays, or the trivia guy who seriously embarrassed me back in December by calling me out to the entire bar for being with a group of guys (he wasn't being funny, he was really, really mean, and way too drunk to be on a microphone). Get your draft beer somewhere--anywhere--else. It would even be better for you to buy your fave ale at Central Market and drink it on your own porch because this location doesn't have one.

    To break down my review: - The beer selection is FANTASIC. So many ones to try and you're bound to find a few favorites. The prices are reasonable, or at least on-par with other establishments. 5-stars, hands down. - The food is meh. I've tried some of the sandwiches, the bratzels, and none of it is terribly impressive. I'll often eat someplace else prior to coming to the Saucer just to avoid the food. It's edible, but there's better. 3 stars. - Atmosphere. If you come on a quieter night, it's not bad. But, the Saucer is a busy place, and it's hard to find a quiet night. It can be loud, and finding a seat can be tough. It can be loud, so having a conversation with anyone other than who's beside you can be hard. 3 stars. - Service. The service can be hit or miss; it can take a while to get your food, or drinks, but often when we come we are not in a hurry so it's not an issue. 3 stars. - Parking? What parking? The other restaurants in the area are very territorial about their sections of the parking lot, and even if they are mostly empty will not let you park there. Carpooling is a must (and smart, if you're drinking, anyways). You're likely to end up with a hike, on a busy night. 2 stars. All in all, I love the Saucer, I just wish it had slightly better food, parking, and it had areas with a bit of noise-dampening for some better conversation.

    What can I say? I have a plate on the wall. It is obvious that I frequent this place. And not just for the beer. The food they serve is on the higher quality side for just a "bar." Space club and rocket tots are a staple of my diet. Just don't walk into a place that has over 100 beers on tap and order an Ultra. If you feel like doing this, your drinking place is across the street at one of the various toolbag establishments.

    I love beer. This is not a secret. So, The Flying Saucer is sort of my Mecca -- a barley island in a sea of vodka tonics. Now usually when I frequent The Saucer, or "The Sauce" as my friends and I have come to call it, I order the same three brews: 1) Paulaner Hefeweisen, 2) Stella Artois, and 3) a Black Velvet (half Ace Pear cider, half Guinness.) MMmm... But lately I've been branching out and trying something new each visit. The Fire Sale brew is the way to go, especially since their worldly menu is so elaborate. Friday night Spaten Lager was on sale, and at $2.75 a pint you can't go wrong. After a couple of rounds, I was done. But fear not, gentle readers, I will be back for more.

    This place is great for the beer lover having around 95 beers on tap to choose from. They have all the normal beers you would know as well as many micro beers and Texas beers as well. It's hard to wrong here as I'm sure you can find something to sip on. So what's with the name of the bar you may ask. I had this same thought until a few minutes after sitting at the bar. Gazing at the bar with the many tap handles I got bored at looking at all the beer choices. My eyes happened to wander upwards and noticed what looked to be plates fixated all over the ceiling. Then it dawned on me...flying saucers! Great time here and the bar tender was very helpful in my beer selection. This place is for the beer connesuir and rookies as well.

Flying Saucer has everything you could possibly want in a bar: - best beer selection. ever. - great bar food - beer flights, so you can sample 5 shots of beer and taste brew from all over the world - plenty of seating - small arcade with a couple of old school games - classic board games (chess, dominoes, etc..) Just ask your waitress for them, and speaking of which: - great service from cool waitresses Warning: make sure you only park in 'official' Flying Saucer parking lot, and not at the restaurant directly facing it in the same lot....there is a parking rent-a-cop who will give you the evil eye and threaten to tow you.

    My Husband would have given this a five because if he was a Yelper, he would be a duke at this place. Let me tell you the premise of this place. You become a UFO member and they get up to three tastings a day to go to your collection of beer connoisseurship that lands you a saucer on the wall or ceiling and your quote as soon as you hit your 200th beer taste. Service at the Saucer has never fallen short for me and the plethora of beers to choose from are quite amazing. The tap back splash is beautiful and beer presentation is never lacking. There is a more private area nearby the darts as well as another private room accommodating private events. I'm a Preacher's Collar drinker so they always have Maredsous and Ace Pear on tap. My husband and his best friend swears by the River Rocket sandwich. The River Rocket sandwich is a Lox Style Salmon with capers, jalapeno cream cheese with Swiss cheese on Rye bread. I had the Buffalo Wings with Mojo Flavor. I was impressed with the crispiness of my wings and the tasty River Rocket sandwich. My husband is still collecting and has the saucer to get to the 200th as his bucket list. I'm just glad that he has some sort of fun goal and somewhere to go to with his guy friends. Great place to be with friends and brews.

    I always said I would never drink beer, that I was a liquor lady and nothing else but as college went by and my money began to run out, I really developed an affinity for beer. The Flying Saucer is fantastic. Beer, beer, beer, from all over the world and tasty! There's a different special everyday and the prices are really reasonable. The food is also really good. I adore the pepper cheese Rocket Tots and soft pretzels with cream cheese for dipping. Yum! This is the ultimate place to chill and have a drink. My favorite though is the brew fusions. My favorite dessert is the chocolate truffle - Young's Double Chocolate Stout and a splash of Framboise. Chocolate raspberry beer? Yes, please. It's like a beer cocktail. Give me a cold one, I'm here alllllll night.

    If you enjoy craft beers, this is the place for you. Always have seasonals and have a "Fire Sale" beer everyday that's only $3.00. The menu is decent. Can get old after you've been going there for a while. But the cheese plates are great pairings with your beers if that's your thing. Otherwise, the Space Club and Turkey Sandwich are tastey treats and you can get with fries or chips and salsa. The Laura's Goat Cheese salad is one of my faves also. Sunday nights are a great time for locavores to come out and drink because select Texas beers are $2.75 a pint. I had a wheat beer made in Austin and an Amber Ale from McKinney. Both of my beers totally rocked! Sugar Bear, strange one that he can be, ordered a beer float...vanilla ice cream with Young's Chocolate Stout. Everyone thought it was so bizarre, until they sampled it. The combination actually works really well! Cheap and an outstanding choice when you have a crowd of folks!

    It must have been a not-so-ideal night because there was a cover band, and they were more annoying than they were entertaining. I couldn't hear anyone over it, and had to repeat myself all night. Yeah, I know. I can be a hater. But kudos to this FS for trying to bring in the entertainment factor. The only other Flying Saucer I can compare Addison to is the one in San Antonio. While the SA location does have outdoor seating, I like the atmosphere at the Addison location much better. It's much more low-key and the waitresses are hotter too. The only legitimate complaint I can think of is that my friend's orders kept getting turned down because they had run out. But that won't stop me from giving them a 5.

    I do love beer. I do love beer a lot. This pub is fantastic, I love the design and the decor. I fancy visiting the Saucer to get saucy when I am in my neighborhood, Addisson. Yet when in Lower Oak Lawn the Meddlesome Moth, by the same owners is top notch. Its Pennies vs Nickels but same great taste- (see if you can get that reference)...If you get it...major props to the observant you! So what wowed me? THE BEST FUSION ON EARTH.... the most incredible concoction, the chocolate banana. Become a beer knurd and try them all!

    I've heard of this place but just never been for some reason until now. This is like the kind of place you think you would see on the TV show Man vs Food but switch food for beer. They pretty much cover every major beer market across the world but sadly not any Scandinavian beer yet but I suppose it's not a major market. I never got to taste any food this time, I feel for peer pressure and stuck to the beer on this occasion but will have to try their food next time.     Beer, Brats, and Pretzels!!!! If that is what you want, this is where you go. The pretzels are the best pretzels I've ever had. Their beer menu is broken down by country and is large. Bottles, can, and taps. Beer: Ommegang Three Philosophers (one was enough. Strong). Chimay on draft. Pretzel: GREAT!!! Saucer Dipster. Roast beef, Swiss cheese, and horseradish. Comes with fries.     I'm not one to give out a full ratings on many things, but I may revise this up after another trip...which I definitely intend to make. The place was completely packed today, since they were celebrating an anniversary by tapping some new microbrews every hour all afternoon--some very tasty stuff from all over the country. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable, which helps because aside from the special tasting they regularly have one of the largest selections of beer I've ever seen. Just check out their website. We also tried the bratwurst which was pretty tasty--a great compliment to the beer. =) The only thing that keeps me from giving the full 5 stars is how loud the music is, but since I'm new to Texas it seems that almost every bar and bar-type restaurant plays music a little too loud for a good conversation. In other words, I'm probably not going to let that stop me from returning.

    Love this place! Stopped in with my Fam for a beer & really surprised. It was crowded on a Sat but found a table for 6 in 5 mins. Tables open up - just keep an eye out for them. I had their Beers Around the World Sampler - A Must!!! Casual vibe & staff is great. Band was great & played a variety of music. Fun for a group or on a date. Only mishap was Women's restroom was flooded but they addressed it quickly.

    I've been a few times and they have a great beer selection! I love beer, but ninety-nine times out of a hundred, the beer is warm... The glass is warm and when you ask for a chilled glass they look at you funny.... The bartenders are a joke! How hard is it to pour beer? Sorry you are talking to the old guy sitting there but my glass has been empty for five minutes now! The waitresses are slow but probably because the bartender is busy trying to blow a guy for a good tip... And the waitresses aren't that great looking. Management is a joke, they argue with you if you have a complaint and are just plain rude.... I don't wanna sound like all I'm doing is bitching... So the food is actually good and the trivia there is a lot of fun... The seating arrangement is neat because you can see everything going on. Laid back atmosphere... But it's always a sausage fest there...

    The primary characteristic of the Flying Saucer is the range of its beers coupled with the knowledge of its staff. Absolutely a well deserved reputation on that point: the place boasts a four page double columned beer menu. And the food was really some of the best bar food I've had in awhile. (Go ahead and just order some loaded fries, it'll feed the both of you.) But, the place was packed. Wall to wall. We couldn't get seated and had to find an open table hidden in back. And as much as the volume is good for them, it's just a bit too much for me. Still, great decor, music, and food. A worthwhile stop if you can avoid the crowd.

    The food is pretty good, but the highlight is the beer. Service can be hit or miss when they're busy, but its usually not horrible. You can ask for free popcorn if you like which is nice with a pint. Last time I was there , I got a pizza which was really great. I think I'll stick to that in the future. All kinds of beers both local and foreign. You can also use the computers against the wall to get an idea of what you're looking for and it'll even print out a receipt to give your server. Sign up for their club on your first visit and earn points toward your plate.

    Ever been lost with so many options that you are not sure which beer to try??? Flying Saucer is THE place if you want to experience it. They have plenty of beer on tap... And I mean plenty... Unfortunately they do not have serve hard liquors. The staff is friendly and fun to talk to. The ambience is nice and you can visit this place anytime and find lots of people there. The only reason I gave a 4 start is because the table were initially given, the water was dripping from the HVAC. Apart from that it's been a very pleasant and fun hanging out here with friends.

    LOVE this place. Love it so much that I was in Dallas for only 2 nights for a work conference, and ended up here both nights. Austin was my bartender and took great care of myself and my coworker. Along with being incredibly friendly/welcoming/funny/adorable, he was very knowledgeable about the beer selection and brought us tons of samples so we could taste his recommendations. He made fun of my Patriots' shirt, but was so charming and handsome that I didn't mind too much. Guess you gotta have sympathy for those teams that didn't just win a Super Bowl. The place has a great vibe overall; very down-to-earth and unpretentious. Food coming out of the kitchen looked great, although I didn't try anything. The beer selection, and the welcome company from Austin, were more than enough to keep me satisfied :)

    We went Saturday night just for drinks after dinner while killing time before a movie. Neat place with a fun vibe! You walk in and see a sign to seat yourself. The first section is full of picnic tables and in the back and around the sides are more traditional tables or tall bar type tables. The bar is along the back wall. It has plenty of tvs to see a game but it's not so loud that you can't have a conversation. We had an upbeat waitress with knowledge of the menu. She gave good recommendations. The bar is mostly beer. It has any kind you could possibly think of which is the draw to this place. They also serve wine and ciders. My husband got a couple of wheat beers (something revolver???). He really liked them. I don't go for the taste of beer and ordered an apple ale with some mix concoction per the waitresses recommendation. It tasted just like a cherry jolly rancher. So, right up my alley. I couldn't have drank more than one due to the sweetness. Thank goodness that's all this lightweight can handle. The place wasn't pretentious but had an eclectic crowd. There was some other room in the back that I didn't know what it was??? The bathrooms were decent too. Definitely go for a beer!!

    Great place if you like craft beers. Came with a group and its a fun atmosphere with good service. Items like the flights allow you to try lots of different beers and see new ones that you may not know. My group ordered food and enjoyed it.     Decor: 3/5 -Even on a weeknight this place was packed! I guess in a good way as there were mostly young adults but bad if you're with a large party. Service: 3/5 -mediocre, it was hard getting a server's attention and they didn't come check on us Food: 2.5/5 -The deals for the pints are great. The food however is not that great, actually disappointing. -I ordered the Hand Battered Corndog Trio and it tasted like the batter wasn't fully cooked. -The angus nachos were bleh. The cheese was lukewarm, the beef wasn't special. I felt worse after eating these nachos.

    Good lunch menu, but my only complaint on it would be that not all options are created equal. Seems to be one of those places that you "need to know" what to order off of the menu to have the best experience. They do give out loyalty lunch cards where every 8th meal is on the house, which if you make it a weekly lunch stop, does not take long to do. Great for a couple day beers, catching up over some happy hour suds, rooting on your sports team if they are playing (and are local), or just relaxing and shooting the breeze with a long time friend. Great rotating beer selection. The Beerknurd club is awesome, and it's interesting to track and rate beers that you've tried over time. They can fill you in. Fun atmosphere and the staff is friendly. There are times where the service is subpar however, and this is mostly luck of the draw.

    This place is great. Almost too great since you need to arrive early during the week to get a table. Mondays are $3 pint nights and Wednesdays there is pint glass night. Good beer selection and knowledgeable waitresses. I like to tell them what style I like and see what they recommend. For $18 you can join the UFO club. 200 beers later you've got a plate on the wall. Fun place for happy hours.

I talked to my coworkers into going to @Flying Saucer Addison... it was on my lips the entire night for a real good beer. Sadly, when I arrived I couldn't get served. Server after server passed by my table without even a hello. I sat there for ten minutes waiting for my buddy to show up and not even a freaking hello. No eye contact, no sign of acknowledging that I was even sitting at the table with a bright red shirt. It was very calm in there and I couldn't understand why noone would come to get a order from me. Finally after the sixth person walked by I got up and left, told my friend that was coming in, that we needed to go somewhere else. So I went to @Vernon's Gastropub as always I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome by Fatosh and the crew. I got my IPA, even bought a awesome bottle of South African wine "Runner Duck" to take home and wings for my late dinner. I spent over a hundred with tip, just for the experience of a good time. I can't recommend Fly Saucer anymore, even though their beer selection is top notch. The service destroyed everything I wanted in a awesome night. SO now I sit, sipping from my bottle of awesome wine, and thinking about the day to come. "Treat others as you want to be treated" Obviously, the Saucer treats those they see fit, and ignores the comings and goings of regular industry folk without care. Or it could be cause I'm brown...who knows. (Today) Yup still annoyed at the lack of service I received last night at the Flying Saucer. So...I created a profile on Yelp and started writing.

    I'm generally not a fan of beer-only bars since I like my spirits but I came here to meet a friend and sat alone at the bar top. When I walked in the manager greeted me with a smile. Courtney was very welcoming and knowledgable of the different selections they offer and poured my choice with perfect skill. My next beer came from Brad, who was also very friendly (smiles go a long way in my book)! Since I didn't taste the beer before I ordered it I made a bitter beer face and Brad assured me that if I didn't like it he would happily pour me something else. What wonderful service!     Sunday is $3 Texas pints, Monday is $3 pint nite, Tuesday is trivia (meh...and starts and ends late for a weeknight), Wednesday is glass nite at 7pm. It's a great place to learn about beer. My tastes have changed drastically since I started coming here with my now-husband. I went from liking bud light to now liking porters, stouts, tripels, and quadruples. I just finished my 1st plate (tried 200 different beers)...trailing my husband by two. They re-vamped their menu awhile back to add some good stuff but kept the favorites too.     I love beer, so I loved this place. The server asked me what kind of beers I like, and I ordered both of her suggestions. They were both delicious, even the one that was a bit different than what I normally order. We had the rocket tots (I think that's what the name was) and a pepperoni pizza, and both were really good. My colleague did receive the wrong beer twice, but the server was very nice about it and switched it out right away. Overall good experience.

    Sad. I would like halfstars. This place would prolly get 4.5. The flying saucer, as others have said, is a crazy beergarten. I believe they have 199 beers either on tap or bottled. I guarantee you will find something new, and I don't care how much of a beer snob or alcoholic you think you are. *q:= Their food, while not fancy, is pretty interesting as well. The slices (of pizza) are good, and I also had a *great* fat pretzel with some melted cheese and a beer brat sliced up around it. Really, really tasty. Live music most all of the time, $2.50 pints on mondays, and other specials just about every other day. While a little loud in the main room if there is music playing, the front patio, the side rooms with darts, and the couch-y patio area is comfortable in nice weather, and are much less loud. There will be those in your party (maybe you!) that will want to order old favorites here. This is a mistake. Get something you haven't had before! That's WHY you go to a beergarten. Also, they even serve their Belgian ales out of the correct glasses. And that always gets points from me. *(:=

    The Saucer is a great casual place to chill for an evening with friends or a beer at noon. The beer selection is the best I have seen in Dallas so far, with lots of different brews on tap and bottled. Good sandwiches and munchies too. It can get pretty crowded on weekends, so if you have a group get there early or it may be hard to find a place to squat.

    It's about the beer. The selection is outstanding. It's like a candy store for craft beer afficianados. I also like the service - young attentive women ready to take your order. Yeah - Me likey! Suprisingly - some of the food is good too. I've enjoyed the cheese/meat tray, rocket tots, something with nacho cheese and tortillas that I don't remember the name of, and a couple of the sandwiches. Stay away from the pizza. The atmosphere is good..free wifi internet is popular in an open airy atmosphere.. tables and chairs inside, and even some picnic tables. Join the UFO club (marked consumption of 200 different beers)...I did. However I don't care about earning a "saucer" for the wall, but the journey sounds like a lot fun. Live music on weekends. Usually quite busy. I envy the owners. It must be a gold mine.

    I was here for about an hour with a couple friends of mine and wish we had spent the entire night there. I've honestly never seen so many beers on tap in my life. I'm not sure if I even knew that many beers existed. The worst part of the night was ordering because every time the bartender (some hot girl that I swear winked at me) asked, "What would you like to drink?" I felt as if there was all this pressure on me to make the right selection. We went on a Tuesday night and it was jam packed. Trivia night apparently brings in the crowds and it made for a lot of fun.

    First, heed this word of caution. It is very, very easy to get carried away in here if you're a beer lover. There are gold plates on the walls for those members that have tried 100 different beers. There is a rule that you can only put 3 different beers toward you membership per visit. They don't want you dying trying to get your gold plate, hehe. Well, the food here is really good, but not the highlight of Flying Saucer. I recommend going for the beer and live music. The wall behind the bar has about 100 spouts each with a different beer. If you are going for beer tasting they have samples that come in 1 oz beer and you get 5. They are served by regions of the world. I really went around the world the night I went. The atmosphere is awesome, very laid back. I recommend going here for a weekend night out. Wish I could tell you which beers I had as to recommend some, but I really don't remember much about that night... Be sure to have a DD!! Enjoy!!

    Good atmosphere and a ton of beer to drink. Pricing isn't bad, I went for a happy hour and had a good time. The only mistake we made was that one friend hated beer, and they don't serve liquor here (there is wine). The staff is dressed like school girls, what that actually means is short skirts and tall socks, that's about it. Go for happy hour, you'll enjoy it.

    I really need to update this review. When you go somewhere about once a week, I think they deserve 5 stars. Here are my updated reasons for loving Flying Saucer. -Lunch Punch Card. Eat lunch here seven times, get the eighth free. Don't tell anyone, but they tend to be super generous with the punches, too. -Good food. I used to only ever order the beer cheese soup but have expanded my options. The hippie hollow is my new favorite, but I've been served well by the hummus, too. I had a salad once and it wasn't my thing, but that might be the fact that it was a salad and fuck salads, right? -Beer choice. Not only do they have everything you could ever really want, they always have a $3 fire sale going on. So get your drink on for cheap! -Great place to read. Seriously. Hang your purse on one of the handy hooks at the bar, get a delicious beer, and enjoy your book. 95% of the time no one will bug you, including the staff, and the background noise is usually at the perfect level to qualify as white noise while you read. Hooray Flying Saucer! Thank you for making life a better place to be!

    This used to be my favorite bar. I love the beer selection and the food is still delicious. The service, while never what I would call stellar, has gone downhill drastically. The last two times we went we had the same server. She made the same mistakes each time. Drinks were so slow we had to order our next beer as she served the previous one. She forgot about food orders, brought out the wrong food and flat out ignored a request for a Coke. It was terrible. When we (politely) corrected her or asked about our food she gave us dirty looks and stormed off. If I wasn't so close to my plate I would find a new regular spot until the service improved.

    We ended up back at the Saucer the other night after unsuccessfully attempting to go to Dukes (no parking). Drank lots of great beer and tried the Rocket Tots. They were good, not great, but good. I've decided the Saucer's appetizers are really appeteasers. Portions just aren't big enough. So, we ordered the chips and queso. The heavens opened up, the light shone down on our dimly lit table and I swear I heard football hooligans singing. SUCCESS!!! Who knew the saucers salsa and queso were so great!!! On par with any if the great Tex Mex places we've been too. The chips are endless and our waitress said the salsa is homemade. Everybody else can rock the tots but Suzy Q and I are gonna dip the chips...

    I went there for lunch with my girlfriend. The atmosphere was classic American bar, without any hipster garbage. Their gig is a bunch of different plates (saucers) on the wall - don't touch! The beer selection is fantastic and they regularly have new selections on a temporary basis. The menu isn't too big but what they cook, they cook well. I had some sort of roast beef sandwich (the name eludes me now but it had the word "saucer" in it). It was absolutely amazing and went very well with the stout that I ordered. The dining area and bathroom were very clean. I wish I lived closer because I would become a regular.

    Ok, I'm increasing the rating on this one... Forgive me, Flying Saucer, for doubting your greatness! I went to Trivia Tuesday for the first time this week & it was a blasty blast. The beer was flowing, the questions were wacky, and the team names were beyond offensive / hilarious. So we didn't really know a ton of the answers. Who cares? It was still a good time! If you can't decide on a beverage, just ask for recommendations. Foodwise, I suggest the chips & queso or the rocket tots. I'm not sure what exactly is in the rocket tots, but they were delicious, fatty goodness. Our waitress was pretty ontop of things given the crowd that night. Trivia starts up around 9 P.M., but arrive early to make sure you get a table. The closer to the stage, the more fun to be had - you can better harrass the trivia dude that way!

    I LOVE the Flying Saucer's! I'm such a beer guy that this place hits the spot perfectly! I always get to try a new beer that I've yet to experience and the selection is so mind bending I often have a hard time choosing what to order. The around world club is a great way to try everything they have to offer. The Saucer offers some great mixed beers and the staff really knows how to pour them. The pour is just right that you are getting both flavor profiles with every sip. It's a great pub feel and a great place to kick back and relax with some friends. For me, the Flying Saucer is my fail safe bar because I know that whenever I go I'm going to have a good time. The food is pretty good as well, I've eaten here several times and have yet to have a disappointing meal.

    I used to hate Flying Saucer. With a passion. A burning, deep passion. Why? Because the times I went, it was always a bunch of people sitting around talking about what kind of nose, finish....etc, etc....a beer had. I like beer, good beer, but not where I wanted to become or hang around with a bunch of snooty wine snobs with malty beverages instead. Rather than a 10 minute tip to Flying Saucer, I would take a 30 minute trip to McKinney Ave and Gingerman. Then it all changed. I blame my boss. He dragged me there. I left with a t-shirt and a UFO club card....and became a Beerknurd. Maybe it's all justification at this point, but you really can't go wrong there. More beer on tap and in bottles than you can imagine. Better pub food than most self-styled "Gastro Pubs." Friendly wait staff that knows their stuff. Pint night on Mondays. Trivia on Tuesdays. Glass Night on Wednesdays. A rare beer tapping on Thursdays. Live music most weekends with no cover if you have your UFO card. Sunday cheap Texas brews. It's like a beer amusement park....and after a couple of the really stout ones, that description takes on a whole new meaning. There are only a couple of consistent things that annoy me. Parking is one. You may have to park across the street and jaywalk Montfort. Not because there aren't empty spaces, but because said empty spaces belong to El Fenix and are guarded with rabid intensity by their Rent-A-Cop. The other is the Pub Of Love...the smoking area at The Saucer. If you go there early in the evening, 9 times out of 10, you will end up having to go get your beer yourself from the bar. The usually attentive waitresses have blinders on when it comes to that space before about 7:30. Other that that, I'm a regular and will be for many plates to come

    This place is pretty adorable. It somehow manages to be adorable and a kick ass bar. I met with a friend here for some drinks and their menu is crazy extensive. I didn't get the whole back story on the plates plastered literally everywhere but it was unique. The friend I was with mentioned if you try every beer you get your name on a plate- pretty rad. The service was good and although parts of the bar were loud and rowdy as they should be.. we were able to find a quiet corner to talk about writing and read each other's stuff. Another rarity!

    I enjoy this place for a relaxed time with friends, but I'm not usually looking for a relaxing night. I'm pretty high energy, I guess, so I sometimes get bored here after a while. I often try to peel a few of my friends off from the group to go to Sherlock's after a few hours. But enough about me. When my mood matches what the Saucer offers, its the best. It is the only bar that has my favorite beer - Full Sail Session Black. The staff has never made a recommendation I didn't enjoy, and they have always been friendly. The smoking area is pretty great, I have enjoyed a few games on the TV's out there after work. My favorite time would be happy hour, but it can get very packed and loud right after work (but quiet and empty on the weekends and late nights). It is so busy it can be very difficult to talk, and then they sometimes throw a singer and a guitar on stage to further ruin the happy hour. So while I respect the bar, I suppose the only niche it still fills for me is as a relaxing cap to a long night in higher energy bars in Addison. If they would just turn down the noise during happy hours...

    I was lucky enough to have the great pleasure to visit this fine establishment. To the owners of Flying Saucer, please open one on the Bay Area... please. FOOD Typical bar food menu. We had the cheesy tots and nachos. The tots was good, but the nacho was just edible. 3 of 5 stars BEER I think they have over 200 beers. The amount of beer tabs all lined up is a row was simply beautiful. I tried a few local wheat beers what was really good. 5 of 5 stars SERVICE For a very busy Friday night, the service was very timely. 5 of 5 AMBIANCE The building is ranch style with decorative saucers and honory saucers to the people who drank over 200 different beers. The locals here are very nice and everyone is having a good time with great friends and family and their picking of the many, many variety of beers 5 of 5 I've been to other gimmick beer houses like 99 bottles in Santa Cruz or Yardhouse in Las Vegas, but this place by far has the most variety and the best atomosphere for chugging a nice cold one. If you are in the Dallas area and you love beer, then you must visit here.

    I don't make it to the FS Addison very often, it's too much out of the way for me. But the few times I have I've been blown away by the beer, the food and the service. The Beer Goddesses are without equal and have always gone out their way. The food is very good for bar food. My wife recently went on the Adkins Diet and I noticed a couple of options that she would be comfortable with. The beer is fresh and the variety top notch. My only negative is that they don't offer the Saucer Burger as they do at the Garland FS. Texas pints all day Sunday for $3 are a great way to sample the burgeoning Texas craft beer scene.

    My first experience with The Flying Saucer was trivia night (every Tuesday). Get there early, because we only arrived 10 minutes before 9pm and it was packed. No tables were available and only a couple scattered stools open at the bar. Damn. We thought about going elsewhere but we were on a mission to test our minds (having beer readily available didn't hurt, either). For comparison's sake, we had no trouble finding an open table at The Londoner for their quiz night. Incidentally, the same quiz host organizes both events. I wish they would start trivia night earlier or at least speed it up, because three rounds took 2 1/2 hours on a Tuesday night. We left before the 4th round started at 11:30pm (because we wanted to give the other teams a chance to win :) We only had a couple rounds of Fat Tires and chips & queso, so reviewing the food will have to wait until next time. As mentioned in other reviews, don't expect to see many girls here aside from the cute waitresses. But if you do, snag one since she'll likely have excellent taste in beer.

    I've been coming to The Flying Saucer ever since my college days. Unfortunately, my palette for beer wasn't nearly as refined back then, so the glory of the IPAs, porters, stouts, Belgian ales, and other worldly beers were lost upon me up until about two years ago. What's not to like about TFS? Your quintessential pub for all things beer. Always a good crowd - not the typical "douches" that pack Black Finn, Sherlocks, or Logans - it tends to be a bit more refined. Everything from computer nerds, beer snobs, dates, groups of guys, groups of girls, etc pack the joint. A few hundred different beers on tap and bottle are available. Even better, you can join their UFO Club for $18, and once you try 200 different beers, get a party in your name and a plate up on the wall/ceiling to commemorate. I regret not having joined it until 2010, as I'd be at least halfway there. Now, I'm less than 20 in, and cursing myself for having not attempted it earlier. If you like beer, you like TFS. Simple as that. Liquor is not served here, and they have a very small selection of wine. If you're looking for something on the rocks other than a Coke or water, go elsewhere.

    I have been coming to the Flying Saucer for several years now. I joined the UFO club in 2005 and still do not have my plate. My fault because I stopped going here for several years. Maybe I will get a bonus for longest time to get a plate. They have a great selection of beer and they are constantly getting new beers in so there is always a variety. The service is always excellent and I have never had any problem with the barteners or beautiful waitresses. The food is very good and I like that they have lox (smoked salmon). I can't judge the price because it depends on what beer you order. They have the standard Budweiser products but also the amazing Balgian beers that can be expensive. Overall if you love great beer, the Saucer is highly recommended. They have wine too, just no hard liquor.

    This is my favorite bar in the area. I've been to the Flying Saucers in Fort Worth, TX and Columbia, SC also. They all have the same great atmosphere with comfortable furniture and fire places inside for the colder months and nice shaded patios when it's nice out. The staff is usually very helpful and knowledgable about the vast selection of beers available. Great place to go hang out, have some good conversation, relax, and drink some outstanding beer!

    if you LOVE beer and a great beer challenge then this is the place for you! They have a ton of beer on tap and available in the bottle with great specials every night of the week. We tend to go on Monday's when pints are $3. My husband is taking part of the beer challenge to drink 200 different beers. When you finish your goal you get a plate on the wall and a few other goodies. The only downsides to this place is seating can be hard to find, the servers are not attentive and there is smoking allowed inside. We tend to have a friend go early and save a table. Also, their food isn't that great. We have one dish that is delicious. It is their bavarian pretzel with melted swiss cheese and bratwurst. Last time we asked for melted swiss, bacon, and bratwurst.Delicious!!

    I've been coming to this Flying Saucer for about 4 years now, usually to attend Freakshow Trivia (hosted by the hilarious Patric Carroll) with a good group of friends. This establishment is one of the OG's of DFW's expansive craft beer movement, and the multiple locations spanning the area (along with The Ginger Man) have definitely contributed to the growth of DFW breweries and beer lovers. This is the place where I tried my first real craft brews, and I've been addicted since. I haven't joined their UFO Club (its kind of like an FS reward club for beer), but I have many buddies who are loyal to it and are trying to work their way to getting a gold plate, which is drinking 200 beers. If you have any questions about beer, the waitresses and bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and will help you find a brew that will suit your palette or your food choice. No full bar here, but some decent wine selections are available if you simply aren't feeling the suds. The service is top notch, many waitresses know most of the clientele and some have been at this FS for a few years. The food is fantastic, a mix of standard pub fare with some German-American flair. The Bratwurst selections are surprisingly great, as is the Make Your Own Pizza. Try a side of German Hot Potato Salad if you're looking for just a healthier snack or app with your beer. Its a hidden gem on this menu.

    Probably odd, right? I'm not a beer drinker, and I won't ever get my plate on the wall for drinking 200 different beers [though, I visited this place with a guy who is about 35 away from getting his second plate]. But, you've gotta' respect a place that seems to offer a great experience for its intended market. Flying Saucer is a comfortable place with plenty of tables and places to sit back and drink an exceedingly wide range of beers from all over the world. I sat there for a couple of hours during a recent evening with a few people, and without any concern about tying up a table or feeling compelled to move on. Our waitress was great. She knew the products, and could address a wide range of questions from our party. She was very accessible. Most everyone sampled the products. We also tried some wings and chips & queso. Despite not ordering food, we felt welcome to be there. By the way, the atomic hot wings are hot, but not ridiculously so, and the dry rub had a nice range of flavor ... not just extreme temperature. Comfortable place.

    Belgian beer week I love Belgian beers! Tried the maredsous blonde and also organic saison first time Lively conversation w gent next to me who totally complimented Texas and most specifically Dallas-indicating how friendly we Dallasites are :) yes'm we are friendly. Ate dinner which was a Tapas board w Cotswold and red dragon cheeses, Tuscan salami-finocchiona, crackers, almonds, olive tapenade. Lovely compliments to the beers. For the beer connoisseur The Saucer is the place. And for a pub the food is really good.

    Omg this place is crazy!!! SO MUCH DRAFT BEER!! It's worth it to come just to see the draft beer and have a couple new ones while you're at it. Their food seems to be okay? It's nothing seriously good. The cheese fries were seriously disappointing lol- hardly any cheese, hardly loaded with bacon/chives. Forget about ordering the cheese fries, just save your money for another glass of beer. We also had the turkey sandwich and that was pretty awesome. The bread was soft and the turkey wasn't dry or tasteless- thumbs up for the decently priced light lunch. Happy with the great service at the bar. The guy recommended some craft beer I don't remember the name of.. Then had another of deep ellum IPA. He was attentive and answered all my questions too haha. Apparently they have this thing called the UFO club? If you drink 200 DIFFERENT beers, you'll get $100 off your tab HAHAHA. You don't have to worry though, they have over 210 different drinks all the time AND they change it up every few days. These guys are pretty serious about their beer. One thing I don't like? No cocktails. But that's about it. Will be back for their Monday pint special :)

    If you love beer go here. Plenty of beers on tap and the staff is super help to guys like me that has a select few of beers I enjoy and stick to without branching out to razzle/dazzle my beer tastebuds. But everytime I come here, there's always some new that the crew suggests and they've yet to do me wrong in their selections. One downside is that parking isn't easy. El Something Something Restaurant and a sports bar that uses mountain peaks as a double entendre for their advertising snag the parking around the lot with their signs. Good pub atmosphere, leather couches, darts, friendly open seating and decent food. It's a beer garden in the concret corral of mall drinking. My only irrational fear is that an errant earthquake hits this corner of Addison and all the precious cleverly worded beer plates come crashing down.

    I took a large group here and we swamped across 3 large tables. Big ups for the waitress who took great care of us with individual checks! So much beer to chose from but I did struggle a bit being a consistant drinker of Stone beers. But, I survived with some other adult bevy's and so did everyone else! The food is very much pub food and you have several things to chose from! The queso was a hit and the salsa with it was actually spicy (yippee). Chicken fingers were great and I highly recommend the atomic sauce if you dare... Open setting in this place and my crowd was rowdy! Great thing? No one noticed at all! This place is an adult place for drinking... can't say I'd bring kids here.

    Love this pace! More beers to choose from than anywhere I've been in Addison, so far. Every time I've gone, the waitresses and bartenders are friendly and helpful if you can't decide on a beer. Being a recent college grad, good beer prices are an automatic go-to for me. Sunday night, they have "Texas Beer Night" where all Texas beers are $3. Following Texas beer night, on Monday they have their pint night, where about 95% of their beers on tap are $3. It's a beautiful thing. If I didn't travel so much, I'd be here every Monday night.

    I've been to The Flying Saucer several times in the past few months and it's always a great go-to for a few beers. The wait staff generally knows what to recommend, and the food is fair. This is a great place to go with a group of friends, but not as great if you're looking to meet new people. The bar area is crowded and it's hard to find a seat, but there's usually a table open somewhere to sit at with some friends. This would be a good spot for an after-work happy hour, but don't go to watch a sporting event - tvs are not spaced well enough to ensure that you'll always be able to see. Overall, the atmosphere is pretty good, if a little unfriendly. It's a great spot to kick back and have some beers with your buddies, but don't count on an epic night. The location is pretty good, but be prepared to drive around for a while to find a parkins spot if you show up anywhere between 5 and 9pm. This is a solid spot and a good go-to, but I don't know that I'd rave about the atmosphere.

    If you love beers, this place will be heaven to you. You can join their saucer club and after trying all the beers on their menu, which is a lot you will get a your name on a plate that you can mount on the wall at the resturant. Trivia nights are a blast here, but the place is always packed. If you are bringing a bring group here, make sure you come here early to snag a table. Also, parking is a pain and be watchful of towing zones. If you are unsure if you would like the beer, you can try a sample. Best place to be adventorous with beers. Good place to hang out at on a beautiful day.

    Went to this Flying Saucer location for the first time on Saturday. Parking was easy for us but I hear it can be a pain. Atmosphere is fun but a bit loud, so I you're going for conversation you may want to rethink. Excellent beer choices and the food menu, while maybe small for some, had just enough variety for my tastes. The club was amazing and my friends enjoyed their dishes as well (turkey meltdown and German platter). Downsides: our server was not the best. It was a busy Saturday night, but we saw other customers in other sections get more timely service. We went almost 40 minutes between placing our food order and bring served. Often we went 10-15 minutes between sightings of waitress, talk on another 10 each time before flagging her down for more beers. All in all, a great location, great food, and great beer. Would like to come and see if our service was the norm or the exception.

    It is WAY too loud in here. At a small four top, you won't be able to understand anything anyone else at the table is saying unless they scream and over enunciate. The music is too loud, so people have to yell to have conversations, and without any kind of sound dampening, it's just a room full of people screaming. Doesn't really sound like the kind of place anyone should go unless you just want to sit in a loud room alone and drink beer. If that's you, then the Flying Saucer Addison edition is definitely the place for you. While the food is good, albeit a bit small in portion relative to the neighboring businesses, and the wait staff are friendly and attentive, they don't serve liquor, so you have no choice but to drink beer. As an American, I like to have the right to choose, and here, you don't get that right. They do have a $3 beer most days, which is nice, but there are lots of bars you can get a $3 beer at where you might be able to hear yourself think enough to actually string a sentence together. The people watching can be good here sometimes though, and if you can snag a picnic style table by the front door, it's less loud, and you might get to watch a young mismatched couple on date night totally ignoring each other while dicking with their phones for hours. The Saucer is a horrible choice for a date, unless you're trying to promote silence or yelled misunderstandings in your relationship.

    I'm not a bar-goer, but I really liked this place. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable enough to answer our questions. The food we ordered was good. The beer was great! I actually ordered a "beer fusion" and it was great! My friend ordered something called "Hummingbird H2O" and she is not obsessed with it. The only disappointment on the menu was that it is not consistant to each location. I was viewing the menu for the Garland location before we changed it last minute to this location, so I was ready to order the veggie burger they offered. This location does not serve burgers. Also, there was a live band. The place is small enough to where a band doesn't need amps because it will reach anyone inside. They used speakers anyway. In order to hear each other speak, we had to leave. Thankfully, this was after we were there for a couple of hours. Overall, I liked this place a lot. I will definitely be returning, but I know to come slightly early because of the live band.

    Over the past couple of years I have learned to really appreciate craft beer ... thus I have also learned to appreciate a bar that has an AMAZING SELECTION OF CRAFT BEERS. Be sure to read over the selection on the chalkboard above the bar. The board will tell you the firesale of the day as well as any special beers that are new or are a special tapping. If you have any questions, the staff are highly knowledgable but you can easily find a beer lover that can explain anything to you on the menu. If you are a beer lover, be sure to join the UFO club. For every 200 beers that you try, you will get a saucer on the wall with your name and a saying of your choosing. The Flying Saucer in Addison is great for beer lovers. Don't expect to come here and have a good meal. However, I would suggest the rocket tots. Rocket Tots are essentially a twice baked potato... tator tot style! They take awhile to make but it's well worth the wait! Overall: Good beer selection, good appetizers and beer specials. If its crowded (which is normal), parking sucks. Don't park in the El Fenix parking lot.... they will tow you!

    The first time I went was with a bunch of friends. Waitress, "Welcome to the Flying Saucer, what can I get you to drink?" Friend, "What do you have?" Waitress, "We have over 400 beers." Friend, "But, do you have Miller Lite?" Witress, ".............yes..........." This is a fun place to get a beer. For the beer connoisseur, consider this a paradise. For someone who only knows what's at the grocery store, the menu can be overwhelming. I wanted something I've never heard so the waitress we had asked me a few question and made the decision for me.     When I lived closer I loved killing pretty Sunday afternoons here with a book--they open up all the French doors (when it's not nasty out) and it makes for a killer atmosphere. Now I only work nearby so it's more of the post-work crowd--if you aim for around 4 it's a pleasant-sized crowd until after 5 when it gets a little crazier. The fire sales are nearly always tasty and for $3 each, a great deal. Texas beers make up the Sunday fire sale, Monday is pint night when nearly everything on draft (and there is a massive selection) is $3 (things that normally come in sexy chalices are not!), the nightly deals are usually good ones. Tuesday Trivia night can be a little loud and Friday after work is INSANE--good luck finding parking or a seat! But the crowd here is great, so it's never bothered me. I know Addison still allows smoking but this place must not allow it for the most part? I think you can smoke at the bar but that's it. HUGE points in my book since nothing's grodier than trying to eat with cigarette stank coming at me in all directions. The pub of love room in the way back used to be full of questionably clean couches and Donkey Kong/Ms PacMan games. It looks like they have or are in the middle of re-vamping it for stools/counters and therefore, way more seating. I liked the charm it had before, but oh well. This place also gets points because I'm a sucker for a big soft pretzel (that is NOT stale) with queso. Nom.

    I am a big fan of The Flying Saucer. I like to go here with maybe one other friend to sit at the bar top and have some new beers. I like to see what kind of drinks appeal to my friends and it gives me a chance to try new things while sharing my personal favorites with others. I've gotten at least 4 new addicts of the Wells Banana Bread -- don't knock it til you tried it... trust me. Aside from the beer, the food is also very tasty. I liked the rocket tots with habenero sour cream. I have heard great things about everything else on the menu also but I haven't gotten to try much myself yet. I also really enjoy the environment - it is just cozy without being boring. It's not a rowdy bar scene with dancing and cheap liquor. It's a nice option for when you're wanting something simple but exciting.

    Overall: Great beer selection, average food. Live band on the weekends with cover. Can be pretty crowded. Atmosphere: Casual beer pub that can get crowded in the evenings. Sundays are Texas Pint nights ($3); Mondays are Pint nights ($3 off most). Tuesdays are Trivia nights. Wednesdays are Glass/Brewery nights. There's always a Fire Sale ($3) too! Food: Food is very average. We typically munch on the Hungry Farmer (cheese plate) or the Rocket-Tots. Everything else is average, but we let's be honest, we don't come to Flying Saucer for the food....We come for the beer! C has been part of the UFO club for a couple of years now, but far from getting the plate on the wall. So we make it a point to always try new beers when we come, and there's always so many available plus plenty on rotation that we've never even had to think about repeating even when we do have a favorite.

    Great place to grab a drink. Just a little wierded out by this place because on our most recent visit we spotted some rather large cockroaches. It was pretty disgusting. Luckily i didn't see it. My friends did. Regardless, this place is a cool place to hang out on a warm summer day. It also has a large selection of beer. Only problem i have is the cover bands. Some of the bands here are pretty atrocious. I wish they wouldn't hire any cover bands. They're usually really bad.

    With the selection of 200 beers available, you can't go wrong. I really enjoyed the Flying Saucer. For a bar, it has a fairly creative menu. Even the vegatarian sandwich was fresh and tasty. The ambiance is great- very open spacing and seating. Creative tables and decor. Just a great place to kick back after a hard day and enjoy the fresh, frothy deliciousness of the beer possibilities.     This is a prime spot for those of you who like to stay up late and have a nice cold glass of beer. Their menu is super extensive and I never know what to get! Luckily they have flight tastings where you can choose 5 (with a few restrictions), but it's the perfect way to try different ones and find out what you like. I like beer, but only the lite ones...no dark beers for me! My go to beer is actually a girly one, but it's quite tasty! Dangit..i forgot the name of the cider, but it's pear cider with a splash of Lindeman's Framboise~ sweet and delicious! I've never tried the food here so I'll make my next visit is one with food + beer.

    Pretty loud place but it's a bar with live music. What do you expect?? I've always had good service when I've gone to this location. The food is good and reasonably priced and most of the time, the interior is clean. Very difficult to find a parking spot but that's always been true of the entire shopping complex of Village on the Parkway.

    Great draught and general beer selection (duh!) I'm a sucker for the UFO club and keep the class night (especially Valentine's, turkey of the year & Christmas). I would probably never have written a review even after being probably 100 times...until today (3/1). I just had THE BEST service I can remember in a while. (Probably since last having dinner at Gary Danko in SF...which is not really the same ball of wax.). Crystal was my waitress & she was kind, pleasant, efficient & went above & beyond. She let me know about the Texas Independence Day glass special...checked on me...asked if I would like her to rinse the glass...used my name (from the UFO membership I presume)...got my name right...let me know about the lunch punch card... I tipped accordingly to what I thought was excellent service & she even came back and asked if I needed change. What a gem!

    I've been to more than one Flying Saucer now so I have a better grasp on what to expect. As usual, the beer menu is great and for the first time in a Flying Saucer they've had everything I ordered in stock which is always a huge bonus! This time I got the Angus Nachos to munch on while watching some basketball games since I was just hanging out alone. They're probably the best nachos I've ordered from anywhere. I'll also recommend the sandwich thing that has the two bratwursts on it, as well as the pretzels. Very good food for beer. The servers were all extremely friendly and very good at checking in on me for refills. My waitress was also very helpful with my UFO membership card.

    When out of my way to come here while working in Dallas. Was quite disappointed in the ambiance, expected more but it turned out to be in a parking lot surrounded by restaurants and whole foods. Also wanted more regional beers. Had decent selection of Texas beers but not much else interesting from around TX and most others you could find in any state. Maybe I expected too much for beer centered bars in Dallas area?

    Great beer selection, good mix of local, national and global brews, friendly staff who knows there stuff. Visited a couple of times during a recent trip to Dallas and while I wasn't crazy about Addison (to say the least) I found this to be a nice place to spend the evening. The bar itself feels a bit 'off', sort of just a big empty room with no character sitting in a parking lot. But the great mix of beers more than makes up for it.

    ummm. . .interesting place. I like the ceiling decorated in plates with customer achievements/phrases. . . .not bad. When its busy, bartenders suck, but that's the nature of the beast. Tried the "Protein" Pizza, but you can only select 3 out of 6. . .went with pepperoni, bratwurst, and prosciutto. Not bad. Good flavor. Thin crust. Tomato sauce has alot of flavor. Meat is pretty good. Better hot than cold, however, who doesn't like leftovers?

    You know you'll what you'll get every time. Great selection of beers you know and many you need to try. Good pub food with surprisingly good service in a packed house. Girls who blow the skirts off Hooters or gawd forbid, Twin Peaks. And finally, a great place to meet friends for a drink any time of day or night . I've been a guest of Flying Saucer and a one time beer nurd since they opened. Now that I'm no longer a Dallasite, I make sure to tie one on every time I'm home. Traveling as much as I do, I enjoy a joint with beers from all over the world. It's not just window dressing kids, these are some fantastic beers. While a more exotic Belgian, Delirium Tremens or Maredous 10 pour from bottles, a good number of IPAs flow from the tap. If I may suggest Dogfish Head 90 Minute (120min is better and don't waste your time with the 90min) down a Magic Hat or a local Texas treat from Austin, Live Oak Libation. Not a hop fan? How about a wheat? It's not all Hefe-Weizen here. Down a Spaten Franziskaner Dunkel or Portland's own Allagash White. From the region, kick back with Abita's Purple Haze (Turbo Dog is also a good choice). There are just too many to mention...but I'll highlight a few loves Spaten Optimator Big Sky's Moose Drool Old Speckled Hen Smithwick's Enjoy live music while at a table, bar, bench or sofa seating. How can you go wrong? Throw some darts, visit with friends and wile enjoying some damn good beer. Thanks Flying Saucer for being my night cap all these years.

    We are beer nerds and this is beer nerd, I'm sorry, knurd, heaven. Good bar food and great beer, that's all you need from a pub, and Flying Saucer has got you covered. The fact that our apartment is less than 5 minutes away from this one was one of the deciding factors in moving in, no joke. Well, maybe like 10% joke. If you're grabbing some food to go with your brew, get the queso (better than most Mexican restaurants) and a pork belly sandwich. Who could say no to bacon, pork belly and ham with jalapeño-apple chutney?

    I'm not a beer drinker but I still loved this place! I went with a group of 10 guys and they were all in heaven! Over 200 beers to choose from! Yay for beer drinkers! The only problem I had were some of the waitresses. I accidentally bumped into one while moving my seat and she gave me the dirtiest look then later she came back and bumped into me 3 times and I think it was on purpose.

    After seeing Beer Wars, we felt the need for some good hearty brews. Saucer is still awesome, still has a great selection, and still a knowledgeable staff.     This is one of my favorite bars for the following reasons: 1) When I am visiting home, my parents live North of LBJ and I am WAY too lazy to make it all the way to uptown. 2) I like beer, and they have LOTS of it. Their menu does a good job of breaking down the overwhelming selection and the waitresses are usually pretty helpful with recommendations. 3) When I meet my friends here, I can actually find a table and sit and talk to them. We don't have to awkwardly hover around each other in a crowded bar while being hit on by old men, as is often the case in other dallas "hot spots." I really enjoy the picnic tables in the front section when it is nice out and all open to the outside. 4) There are darts in the front right and board games in the back. I like both those things.

    100 beers on tap, 150 more in bottles. That's a 5 star beer selection if I've ever heard of one. The Addison edition of the mid-south beer tavern mini-chain ''the Flying Saucer'' would be my regular hang out if only I lived in Dallas for most of the year. You simply cannot beat this beer selection. While I'm sure the waitstaff could tell you about the beers on the menu, I wish they'd incorporate some descriptions of the beers beyond descriptions of types (trappist ale, IPA, stout...). They actually have a few sentences on their website about each brew... just not in print. Too bad. I had a flight of India Pale Ales and was in total beer bliss. Why minus a star? Because I'm jealous that I don't have one where I live. So there.

    Easily the best beer bar in Dallas for micro brews, and imports. The selection is staggering. It can be pretty crowded and loud at times, but finding a bar in Dallas that knows what real beer is is worth whatever hassle. The beers are somewhat pricey, but remember they are often specialty beers and worth every cent. The staff seems to have a pretty good understanding of what's what.

    This joint boasts the finest soft pretzels in Dallas, hands down. The pretzels come two to a plate, warm, slightly buttered, with a light sprinkling of coarse salt. They are thick, but fluffy, and tear apart with feathery edges. I chose to accompany mine with spicy mustard, but queso and other toppings are also available. The beer selection...of course...ain't bad either...

    I was at the bar on a Friday evening, relatively early-ish, deciding what Belgian I should get. I first decided a a Deleium Tremens, followed by a Maredsous 10, followed by a few others that were not as remarkable. Douchey mcDouche over to the right of me here ordered a round of Miller Lite for him and his entourage of button down, blue-striped shirt buddies. I tried to make it a subliminal battle of my snobbery versus his douchiness, but I think that he would win.... On previous trips to Dallas, I've been here for happy hours as well. I would say this is more of a happy hour than weekend night sort of place. The large tables are pretty useful for sitting around with co-workers but it can get really loud.

    Me and my friends go there often on Monday nights, when many beer brands are on "fire sale" for $2.75 a pint. Unfortunately the number of brands that go for fire sale on Mondays has decreased over the past year, and the choices are getting narrower. But given the large selection -and I mean large!- that they have, it is still worth going. The food is also acceptable, contrary to what I was expecting first. The environment is very relaxed and you see people hanging in there for few hours. Being able to drink and simultaneously work (or surf Facebook, as I see people do) using their free WiFi is sometimes very useful.

    Great chill spot for the adventurous beer drinker. Like the Yelpers before me, don't be "that guy" drinking Bud Light at this place. We'll see you and by God we'll judge you. It can be overwhelming so trust the bartenders and wait staff for some help wading through the selection. The hardest part's remembering what the name of that 2nd beer was when you're nearing double digits. The beer menu's divided up into sections giving you information about each beer like it's country of origin, type and % of alcohol (Maredsous 10 is the strongest and should be taken seriously). Hearty bar food like the bratwurst queso sticks in your head worse than it does in your arteries (in the best way possible, honest). Live music on the weekends and darts make it a great place to go out when you're not in the mood to impress.

Down side: the bouncer carded everyone on my team except me. I yelled at him (in fun!) and told him that he thew away his tip! Fun guy, fun place, this one allows cigar and smoking which is good or bad, depending on your situation.

    You can not complain about the beer selection here, that is for sure. They had a huge variety and I loved how the back of the menu explained the differences in different types of brews. I had the cheese fries with jalapenos sans the bacon (for veggie reasons). They were great. I think one of the best parts is the tours you can take, were they let you sample different beers. I'm not sure if I get my monies worth with one of these but i did enjoy it. As for the atmosphere. It was nice and laid back a bit loud but they where blasting decent 90's alt so i enjoyed it. Felt like a college bar with out the frat...

    Food-didn't sample because the menu wasn't that enlightened Beer-5 Parking-4 Ambience-4 Service-3.5 Beer. Beer. Beer. Did I say beer? Service depends on the server, varying from excellent to sub-par. Parking is not easy during happy hour nor Mondays when they have their special, but this is a function purely of their popularity. If you love beer, the only complaint you will have is that it is not free, for their selection is superior. Smoking is a downer, but expected for a bar (my only knock on the ambience), as I enjoyed the music and the TV without sound.

Everything went perfect, all my guest got in,food,music,bottle service,VIP area was on pointtttttttt....honestly I couldn't complain,till this day me and my friends are still ranting and raving about that night.     I sat down at the bar and methodically ordered beers from some of the greatest breweries in the world. The pretty bartender would say "here ya go" as she slid the beer in front of me...because that's what pretty bartenders do. I had planned to say thank you and leave it at that, but what we plan and what we do are so very seldom the same. "I'm prepared to love you forever!" I exclaimed as she was turning around. I didn't get a chance to love her forever (perfomance anxiety) but what I will love forever is Flying Saucer. When you want a break from from the Miller or Bud routine, you've got to come here to get your fix. With more beers on tap than you can imagine you are can easily enjoy your favorite Belgian brew or even a a great lesser known American brew. Yes, they do exist! I'm pretty cheap. You should know that about me. Flying Saucer does their best to accomodate this by offering a different beer every day on "Fire Sale". Fire sale beers are only $2.75 and that makes them extra delicious.

    This is the place for beer. Gotta love their Flying Dog beers and misc IPA's. Depending on the day of the week, it can be a great place to relax and actually get some work done while certain days like weekends, good luck on getting parking. The waitresses are fun and easy going. My advice for ordering food: share with a friend. They don't have the best food in the world. Think bar foods and burgers. However, if you get a chance, dive into the nachos. That is something to satisfy the crowd for the evening. This place is fun for people watching as well. Haven't been back in awhile but certainly plan on going in the near future.

    I think I've mentioned before that I am not much of a drinker. And when I do drink, it's typically something like a Margarita or a Daiquri. Wine only crosses my palate in the form of either Moscato di Asti or Fonseca Bin 27 Port. Beers on the other hand... are even less frequent. I have learned to tolerate the Woodchucks, the Ace Ciders of the world. Well, last night... after a ridiculous amount of food at Buca di Beppo, I came to The Flying Saucer with my extended-extended family... (what do you call my cousin's husband's brother & sister and their significant others?). Family? Ok... I'll take that. Anyway. Not to be a fuddy-duddy... I looked over the menu hoping to find something that I might be able to fake drink about 1/2 of a bottle before it got too warm, without making the "face." Yeah, you know the one. The face people who don't like beer make when someone pours Miller Lite or Budweiser down their gullet. Anyway. somewhere in the midst of being tired, a high-pressure headache coming on, and the not-to-terrible, but still present smell of smoke... my eyes landed on Lindeman's Peche. Hmmm. Peach beer? Well, it couldn't be any worse than that Pumpkin stuff I had at Ole' Monk a few years back. So this BIG bottle of beer, served at a cool 40-something degrees, and a champagne flute arrived in front of me. Um, ok. Poured some in my glass. Took a quick sip. Passed it around to the other 3 girls who wanted to try it. And as I saw the 3rd one take a sip... something hit me. Jealousy. I wanted my glass back! YUM! Can I just say I finally found a beer I can drink? YUM! Smooth, peachy goodness. But be careful... if you are like me... where malt-based beverages get you drunker than the Tequila shots... you might want to find yourself a ride home.

    We came here back in September. I took my husband here to surprise him since he loves different beers. We really enjoyed ourselves, and lucked out because they were selling das boot that night too. We were extremely lucky to get seats at the bar and the service was great there. It got progressively crowded--even to the point of it being kind of scary trying to walk anywhere--but the mood of the crowd was pretty friendly. The beer selection is great. I really wish we could get Bell's down here, somewhere, though! Overall, love this place. We haven't been back because of how crowded it got--but we very much like this place!

    I love this place. I know that there is always a debate about what beer joint is best, but coming from Miami where there is nowhere to get a good IPA, this to me is as good as it gets. I never have the same beer twice, and with their neverending rotation of seasonals and "rare" tappings I will never have to drink a Miller Light again. Join the UFO club..it's totally worth the 18 bucks, you get a shirt and a swipe card to track your beers. True "Beer Knurds" can even enter tasting notes to track the flavor profiles of everything they taste....not me though, i am in it for the buzz!

Downside is casual opening times. Been there twice, just after posted opening, and the doors are still locked. So twice, we've left for another place to eat. No excuse for this behavior.

He suggested dinner but I really didn't want to commit myself to that many hours with a stranger. When men date on line they tend to cast out a wide net. Look at their profiles, they are all looking for a woman of any race, any ethnicity, any profession, any height, any political affiliation. They only put the brakes on when it comes to age. They are all wishing for someone like 15 years younger. That is a big difference. I if you are 15 years older than me, well then you better be pretty frickin special. Have something other than an accounting business or a director position at a web company or something. Anyway, no matter what the age, they cast a wide net and then when you meet them they agree with everything you say. I who am seriously trying to meet someone to marry, and I am almost 30, needs to get down to it. So when I say, I run a small talent agency. One can read more about The Agency in the Brancroft Affairs (found on Amazon) a woman by the name of Liberty Valens is immortalizing me. But let's get back to the review. When I tell any guy something about me, they repeat the same thing back. For example, if I say, the accounting part is my least favorite part of owning a business, they say I hate accounting too. Then I say, "But you are an accountant." I could say, I bite heads off of baby birds for fun. They would say. I do that too. Let's do that together sometime. So I decided to meet this guy at The Flying Saucer. I had heard of it in passing but did not know anything other than it was a beer place. I thought, well they must have chardonnay. When I got there I was a tiny bit early and then I got a text from date boy that he was going to be 15 minutes late. Hate that, red flag. I sat at the bar which is something I feel uncomfortable doing but the bar tender was really great and made me feel at home. The did have wine but the bar tender led me to try a beer instead. He even let me have a taste of it first. It wasn't a local beer but it was something that was on a fire sale. I could have ordered something more expensive but the bar tender must have been looking after me just in case my date stood me up. Yes, see my profile, I am very good looking but that doesn't mean anything any more. The generation above mine raised men to be selfish and lame. If I can make it on time, so should they. The date showed up and it was like the same old BS. But I became a fan of the place. I'll come here again with a girlfriend. Great place.

    My party of three sat near the bar on this Monday night. It was full, but not so busy that anyone was standing and waiting for a table and the sign at the door said 'please seat yourself.' We waited a FULL five minutes for any service. Our table seemed to be the only one that didn't have menus on it. I tried to flag down a server once, who completely ignored me (or possibly didn't hear me over the extremely loud music...on a Monday, really???). One of my dining partners finally walked to an empty table to grab menus. The minute he put them on our table, our server magically appeared, said not a word, ripped the menus out of our hands and moved them back to the other table. Then brought us the right menus (which looked strikingly like the ones we already had) all without a word. Not with an 'oh sorry' and certainly not with a smile. Just slapped them on the table and stomped away. She then ignored us another couple of minutes and came back impatiently asking for our drink order. We eventually ordered drinks and food, both which came in a reasonable amount of time. But seriously, this girl still was unable to crack a smile or even say something like 'here you go' when she jammed my food in front of me. She unceremoniously dropped off all our food and then disappeared. Never came back to ask if it was ok. we flagged her down twice for water. Hint: If someone asks for water, save yourself the trip and ask if anyone else would like water. Or better yet, ask if we would like water when we sat down. She was extremely put out anytime we asked for anything. We finally had to get her attention to get our check (HUGE pet peeve of mine). she never asked if we wanted anything else. Not more beer, not dessert, nothing. Her tip reflected her piss-poor service. At our table, one person had a chicken sandwich, which she said was good. Nothing special. One had one of the pizzas, which was good. I had a pork sandwich with ham and bacon. It was tasty, but it was not warm (I don't think it was supposed to be served cold). the salad with it was fine. the portions were a nice size, not huge, which was great. And the price was reasonable. My bill was less than $11. The Flying Saucer is fortunately in an area where there are plenty of other options. Pick another place.     Love this place and I am a member just 3 things about this location that sucks. 1. Parking is god awful! Maybe talk to el Phoenix and see if they can rent some spaces for like 350 bucks per week or something 2. No liquor and 3. Live music? WTF that place is way too small for that live music just makes it impossible to hear your friends. Take the money you spend on the band and put it into acquiring more parking. My group of friends is about 30 strong and pretty much everyone agrees the live music is a negative

    Highly recommend if you love beer...it's not often I come across a Rodenbach ( Belgium sour beer) and was ecstatic to see it on the drink menu. The food is good also, I enjoyed my hippy hollow with turkey added and everyone else at my table had no complaints. I don't remember what exactly was ordered by everyone but it ranged from sandwiches to salads to pizza.

    Service was terribly slow, and our waitress had to constantly apologize about our drinks taking so long to get to us. Not to mention, my friend asked to have 3 different types of beers, yet they had none of them. His drinks took especially long, because she would take the drink order from him, then come back 20 mins later to tell us they dont have it. Frustrating. We were a party of 4, and it took 25 minutes to receive just 2 out of 4 of our beers. Tip: buy your beers way before you run out, probably order 2 beers at a time, because it will take 30 minutes until you even see your waitress again. Not sure if the bar was just slow that night, or if she was busy chatting on the other side of the wall. From what it appeared she had been busy chatting. It wasn't that busy after we had been there for 15 minutes. Our section started to get smaller and smaller, and service only got slower and slower. We took a chance and ordered the queso, (yes that took forever to come to us too, which was brought by the food runner) and it was terrible. Tasted like a block of velveeta. For $7 it was such a waste. I was overall disappointed, as I heard amazing things about this saucer location. I'll remain going to the Rockwall saucer. Better service, better location.

    This is one of my favorite places in the Dallas area...... very down to Earth, amazing beer selection and decent music. The staff is all very knowledgable re: any questions about beer, IPA's or what have you, food is decent, but I don't think anyone goes there for food. Down sides.......Parking is a little rough, and it gets pretty loud on Friday/ Saturday nights.

    I can't believe I havent reviewed this before. Especially since I have a plate on the wall commemorating my 200th beer. Admittedly that is from Aril 2002, and when I stopped working in the neighborhood I stopped going. It's like it always was. Admittedly I only had beer, no food. So I don't know if that has improved.The beer is well kept, served at an OK temperature (although the Brit ales are a bit cool for this English lad). I wish I lived closer

    Flying Saucer is a great place to grab a beer with friends, especially if you like trying something new every once in a while. They have an extensive beer menu (that's sort of their thing, you know) with brews from far and near. I love being able to try a local craft or beers from all over the world. I am told they also, have food, but I wouldn't know anything about that. This is usually where we head post dinner. It's a casual atmosphere that works for post work happy hour, weekends, or the occasional afternoon.

    As a new resident to the Addison area, I am really glad I found this place. When we went in on a Friday night at 8pm for some drinks the waitstaff was overly nice and the beer selection is second to none. I had the German plate and the food was excellent. I am absolutely going to become a regular here and would recommend this pub to anyone.

    This place is commonly known in Dallas as the best place to taste/drink beer. I mean, with that many beers on draft (and that many fans), you'd think this place is a surefire WIN when it comes to a good brew. Unfortunately, this Flying Saucer location impressed me about as much as a limp noodle. When we walked in, there was a "I-can-hold-up-a-beer-pitcher-longer- than-you-can" competition being held on a stage somewhere. We were meeting a friend here, so we sat as far away as we could. It wasn't far enough, though, because the raucous noise from this made it impossible to carry a conversation. The emcee (I'll call him Foghorn Leghorn) was yelling into the mic as the competition went on, sometimes so loud, that I had to cover my ears. I had no idea that apparently Beerfest was going to have a sequel, and have it filmed in this bar. Finally, the noise settled down and we ordered some beers, as well as chips queso, and salsa. Now, I have had some bad chips and salsa, but this has to be the WORST I have ever had. The queso was only barely passable. I am quite certain this had to come out of a can somewhere. The salsa...oh, the salsa. It might as well have been water with tomatoes and peppers, and it was gross. I still can't believe I shelled out five bucks for that mess. Allow me to go back to Mr. Leghorn for a minute, because he was the icing on the cake of a lousy experience. Apparently, they were also having bar trivia that night, and while he was considerably less annoying while asking questions, it was while he was giving answers that he really irked me. He was cursing almost to the point of overkill, making digs at the patrons, and made it a point to announce that if anyone had a problem with him, his noise level, or anything he did, to come talk to him. And he didn't ask nicely. He was downright rude. He instructed us "not to Twitter it, bitch to the wait staff about it, or Yelp about it in a review." Ummm....yeah, nice try, there, buddy. So, here I am, Yelping about how completely annoying he was, and not giving a rat's patoot about it, either. How about that, Mr. Leghorn? I understand that a place like Flying Saucer wants to be edgy and fun with their bar events, but this guy wasn't funny. He was downright obnoxious. Anyone who pays this guy to sit up there and talk like he did should have his head examined. The selection of beer is not worth it at this point...I can go to Ginger Man or Strangeways and have a way better time. Bad food + excessively loud atmosphere + super annoying emcee = no return trip for me. Ever.

    What an awesome place to come for beer! They have a TON of beers on tap, so it is THE place to go for a craft or micro brew. They carry all of the local Texas beers, including special releases. The pizzas are amazing!

    Uneven. ....many of the beers we asked for were not available, ditto for some food options. ..I think Monday night is the worst night to try this place for the first time. They do inventory on Tuesdays apparently. For a place that markets itself on wide choice, it didn't deliver tonight. Service was forgettable.

    The service is not good at all here but they do have pretty hot live music. The music is really random here so you can't really come here expecting a certain type of music but it's always fun and pretty packed here so you definitely won't feel lonely here!

    The only thing i like about this place is the huge list of beers, naa. Have drinks, have conversation and have some good times... But as usual its a Bar So don't expect me to give it a 5 Star... Hey it rhymes... Best time is to go on a 65-75 F day to enjoy the open seating.

    I found this place with a group of Coworkers while we were on a business trip to Dallas. We were loking for some place for lunch and we decided to stop in and try it. So lets start with the tap wall absolutely awesome, i am from New England and I am very spoiled with beer choices. So we walked into a sort of enclosed open area with picnic tables and tv's the large doors to the outside were open so it gave you the feeling of being outside without being exposed to the elements or the sun. We reviewed the menu and it appeared to be a good mix of bar/gastropub foods with a german flare. I have the Brat Sandwich with spicy mustard,sauerkraut and two pretty tasty BRats of a good size on some very nice crusty bread. I dont remember what i drank because i tried different beers the other two times went here while on a 5 day business trip. Thats right ladies and gentlemen we ended up at this place 3 separate times during a 5 day trip aka every other day were there because is how much we enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend and i am excited because this place is a small chain and there is one in the Charlotte area where i am moving too.

    Beer crazy. They've got so many beers here it's kinda ridiculous. Monday's $3 pints get you pretty far in trying them too. If you're real ambitious, you can go for the plate on the wall by downing 200 different beers. I think it's $18 to start counting. Trivia night on Tuesdays is pretty fun. The host guy is hilarious. I forgot his name, but go meet him...great guy. Make sure you think of a good team name!

    Whoooooooa beer!! Went as a group of 3 on a Saturday night, live music and all! $5 cover that night (caught me by surprise), but the beer selection is RIDICULOUS. I've never seen a tap list that long. Super friendly staff that knew some good suggestions for first timers. I'm not a huge beer person myself, but I found some good fruity options :) My beer-loving friend however went with multiple flights (Texas and Make Your Own) and wasn't let down. We'll definitely be back one day.

    This place has one of the best beer selections (bottled and draft) in the Metroplex. It also has a nice laid-back atmosphere. Smoking is not allowed at this establishment. As my tip states, join the UFO Club. You get free beer and apparel for drinking a certain amount of beers. Drink 200 and you get a plate with your name on the wall! Their food is pretty good as well, especially for what is essentially a beer bar. They have typical bar food (fish & chips, sandwiches, wings) as well as some more atypical offerings (bratwurst, meat & cheese plates). They have affordable lunch specials during the week. Monday is the best night to come, since it is "Pint Night." Most beers on draft, with the exception of a few Belgians, are on sale. I recommend this place to anyone looking for beer in the DFW area.

    Big TVs to watch the game...they have the smoking area separated into a different room now so that is a total bonus...but they only serve beer...they do have GF Beer so that is a bonus...and drink specials all the time. Kevin is a great Bartender and we enjoyed our evening chilling. Try something new...you will be happy you did!

    Beers lately seem flat and stale- seems like they're not keeping their taps as clean and the beer suffers. Wait staff always good. Last few visits frustrating because everything we wanted on the beer menu "just ran out and hasn't been replaced yet." Our favorite food to order (off menu for old timers like us) is still the pig and pepper pizza! Don't like the new beer menu format. Wish they'd go back to old way - organizing by style of beer. Wish they had IBUs listed also, not just ABV. We like $3 Sunday pints. Jim Stalder

    This isn't a bad place to go. It's good after work. It can get packed and loud. This isn't an place to go thinking it's a restaurant - it's a pub. The food is so so. TONS of beer choices. At the end of the day, not a bad place.
