Me and my wife have been wanting to try BJ's since they opened and finally took the plunge this afternoon. First, we ordered the Lettuce Wraps appetizer and we got 4 extremely small, unassembled lettuce wraps. Eating them was an outright mess leaving food on the table and sauce on our shirts. Flavor was good though. We were left with sticky fingers from the sauce and asked for wet wipes and were told they didn't have those and gave us more napkins, which didn't remove the stickiness. Flavor was okay on the appetizer so we had better hopes for the entree. We both ordered the Southern Fried Chicken that came with white cheddar mashed potatoes, corn and white gravy. The two pieces of chicken on each of our plates had absolutely no flavor other than grease. There was no salt or pepper used on the chicken, or any other seasoning for that matter. Meat and bland, unseasoned batter and nothing more. The potatoes were obviously powdered and had a bitter taste to them, which I found very contradictory being served at a "hand crafted" Brewhouse. The corn was frozen and had obviously been sitting for several hours because it was complete mush. The cream gravy had only a slight cream taste. We tried to use the salt and pepper shakers on the table to add some much needed flavor to the food, but both were clogged. We asked for replacements, which were both also clogged. We opened them up to find that it appeared they have been wiping the inside of the top of the shaker with a wet rag, thereby clogging every salt and pepper shaker they have. The also clogged replacements were handed to me by a manager as well. I normally never post negative reviews on restaurants, but the food lacks even basic cooking principles. The lettuce wraps were a complete mess and minuscule for the $11 they cost. These 2 piece fried chicken plates were $12.50 each and everything on the plate lacked any flavor at all other than the bitter taste from the powdered mashed potatoes and slight cream taste from the white gravy. We won't be returning, which is sad, because I had hoped to sample their beer selection in the future. This was an expensive lesson in bad food for us.

Bj's is off the charts and this location is no exception! Home brewed sodas on tap! Incredible deep dish pizza. My favorites are buffalo chicken and the great white! The pastas are also phenomenal. There is not a thing that I have ordered there that isn't good. End the night with one of the best desserts on the planet, a pizookie! A deep dish cookie topped with ice cream. My favorite is the peanut butter or macadamia white chocolate. They will let you do a combo. This place is consistent. Try it!!

The food is very good. If you decide to head over there, try the buffalo wings and a deep dish pizza. You won't regret it. It also has the largest selection of draft beer in Corpus Christi so that's a huge plus in my book.

Parmesan Crusted Chicken is amazing! White cheddar mashed potatoes are fantastic! Pizookie is the best!! Ate here three times on business/vacation. I would have given them 5 stars, but after the first visit our service went down drastically! The wait just for them to take my carry out order was over 8 minutes and the server on our last trip took too long to get our drinks/order in and never cleared our table of plates.

Called ahead for a 6:45pm dinner. We were finally at our table at 8:00pm. Waiter forgot one persons order-apologized and gave us free dessert. The servers didn't bring another order. Love all the San Antonio locations-do not hold the Corpus service against other BJ Brewhouse locations. Very disappointed today.

The only reason I will give 3 stars is because other BJ's have been good. Our waitress was brain dead, the avacodo rolls were mushy, and the burger was way overcooked . We didn't get silverware and when we asked for napkins we got bar napkins like we were at Waffle House. Had to send the avacodo rolls back but it took 20 min to do so because our server was MIA. No, I don't want them re-cooked, my meal is over. Thanks for sending a manager to try to get me to change my mind, but holding Me for 10 minutes while you find a manager wouldn't be as good as getting the check like I asked. Worst service ever, overcooked food, and sketchy management.

After a long drive from Memphis to Corpus to visit my brother, this was very refreshing. BJ's has a great craft beer selection. Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Service was awesome, our server Clarissa was very knowledgable about the beers on tap as well as the food. I had the avocado rolls, tomato & fresh mozzarella salad, deep dish pizza and salty caramel pizookie. All was great, definitely will come here every time I'm in town

This place started off a little rough when it first opened. But after a few months they are Definatly on the way up. Excellent home craft beer. Highly recommend the " PM Porter", goes great with their Poke appetizer.

Exceptional service....wait staff is well trained. Have eaten at this location four times and have received consistent good service and food. Highly recommended for a relaxing dining experience. Everything from the apps to entrees to deserts are good.

Order was screwed up, and food was only ok. Dessert took 40 minutes to arrive. Will not return soon, but will give them another chance in the future.

First time to BJ's. Labor Day and it wasn't crowded. I kinda thought that they'd be busy on everyone's day off. Bad sign? Well, based on our visit, it's hard to understand why they weren't swamped at lunch time. The place is super clean, the atmosphere is very nice and the service was great. We both ordered 1/2 rack of ribs and loved 'em. Ribs are typically finger food, but these were so tender that you basically just pulled the bones out and then eat the slab of meat with fork and knife. The BBQ sauce complimented and highlighted the flavor of the meat instead of overpowering it. The side were cooked to perfection. Nothing was over-seasoned or salted. TVs everywhere, comfortable seating, music not too loud...just a very pleasant visit. We'll be back. Lots of beers that they brew...have to try a few of them, don't you? That and pizza sound like a nice second visit.

Many times I find myself wondering into a BJ's restaurant because I am a sucker for the rootbeer and pazookie. After visiting the Corpus Christi location a few times I decided that it is not worth visiting again. I will break down my last 2 visits: I came in with my brother. We ordered a simple pizza and I got their watermelon starter salad. As it was a starter salad I figured it would come out before the pizza. Well I asked my server after 30 minuets about my salad and she promised me it will arrive before the pizza did. 5 minuets later no salad, pizza at the table. The pizza should have been a pepperoni and pesto pizza with tomato sauce. Well, no pepperoni and no sauce. Just cheese and pesto. I told my server (who still had yet bring out my salad) and she told me she will bring out a bowl of pizza sauce and I can dip my pizza in it. That is not ok for a $21.00 pizza. Asked for a manager and he said the same thing. I told them I no longer wanted anything and I left. The whole experience took 1 hour. This last time I only came in and ordered a pazookie (I was too weak to avoid the appeal of cookies and icecream) well I sit down and order that and my rootbeer. My server saw I was only planning on spending around 9 dollars. And stopped serving me. 45 minuets pass and no pazzookie. And when it does come out the cookie is cold and there is only a pool of ice cream on top. I told the food runner (a larger Mexican lady with red hair) and she said "oh well" and walked away. I let a manager know and he said it didn't set at all (yeah right!) after another 20 minuets I finally got it. And still was not good. Oh well I will not be back anytime soon.

Fresh and delicious entree salads, California flatbread, and pizookies are just three little reasons BJs is on my "go to" list! Despite being a chain restaurant, BJ's offers inspired and healthy creations made from quality fresh ingredients that keep bringing me back. The roasted kale and brussels sprouts salad is my absolute favorite item on the menu, featuring lovely bits of tender chicken, crisp, piquant onion, salty pepita seeds, acidic and creamy goat cheese, sweet dried cranberries, and juicy purple grapes---all perfectly balanced with just the right amount of tangy dressing. It's truly a party in your mouth! Next on my go to list is the succulent California flat bread with bites of chicken, bacon, and avocado on warm, thin crust. If healthful, savory offerings are not enough to bring you to BJ's, the dessert menu could make any patron smile with sugary delight. My personal favorite is the peach cobbler with sweet succulent peaches topped with flaky, warm crust. A close second is the pizookie, BJ's version of a deep dish baked cookie served still warm and soft in the middle and topped with ice cream. The salted caramel variety would tempt even the staunchest dieter with its creamy, crisp, chewy, warm, frozen, cakey and sugary goodness all together.

YES BJ's (the restaurant) is great! Join the rewards program just because it makes sense. Always be sure to have one of their brews as well. The service at this location is great, all the employees are very welcoming and work hard. Whenever I'm on the fence on what to eat, this is the place because the menu is full of variety.

Now I usually love this chain, however Wednesday night was horrible. First off, they were not even busy, let me just start with that. We had to change tables 3 times due to the fact that the tables are so filthy we couldn't even sit down. The service was beyond slow, in fact we thought they had forgot to tell somebody we had changed tables. The waiter was so slow that every time he brought our drinks they were really warm. The company is known for their beer so why would they ever serve them warm. Even our food came out all wilted and dried out. None of her food was all that great. Really keep in mind I love this restaurant, their ever avocado rolls are usually some of the best I've ever had. However, when they're all dried out and will team grows not so appealing especially when they start to brown. The pasta headset for so long that was all dried out on top and all the Parmesan was sitting there almost choked to death trying to eat it it was so dried out. I just believe that their quality is really really sleepy now that they've been established in corpus a while. Hopefully, in the future management might come visit this establishment and try to get back on track. Because I have been to other BJ's and they're pretty good, this one use to be. Highly recommend the chain but not in Corpus Christi.

If only I could give 0 stars. 9 minutes from sit down to get two waters with lemon. 32 minutes to get an artichoke app. Which was burnt from the fryer, I had to spit it out on the plate, it was foul. I called a manager over to take the app, and clear our bill so we could leave. I had a $25 gift card already to use, and I still would not stay to dine in. This is my third horrible experience at this establishment. Time is service 8:50pm 9/12/15. Ditch it. Review continued with pictures at: Dineitorditchit.us Coming Oct 2015

Ok so the BJ's back home is awesome . This one here in corpus... Terrible! It took an hour for us to get our food and it was so cold my fries were hard and tasted old. Even our pizookies were cold the ice cream didn't melt. We hardly seen our waiter and took forever to get out checks. I usually have a good time here and enjoy good food and service but this was horrible. There was no apology from our waiter. At one point I had to look for him by asking other employees to find him for our table. When he came out with out drinks and sat them in another table my grandmother has to get up and get our drinks. I am seriously disappointed with the service I received here. I would have asked for a refund but it was close to midnight and my daughter was ready for bed. I

Had a birthday party here for my family. BJ's is holding it down in Corpus. The staff did an excellent job, service was great fast and friendly. The food came out quick, was served hot and had a great experience. They don't have the Red-bridge Gluten-Free beer which other locations do, so to me it was a shame, but the Woodchuck cider is always a good choice. Would come back with friends and family again. Great Job.

I liked this place. I've heard negative things about it and maybe we just got lucky this time but everything was great. We got here about 8:45, was seated at the bar right away. Bar is very large and comfortable seating. Hooks underneath for your handbag which is always great! We ordered a thin crust pizza and naked wings with buffalo on the side. Everything was hot and had good flavor. We also got the chocolate pizzookie which was delicious! Really cool place with attentive service and a very nice and happy waitress!

I LOVE BJ's brewhouse. I go here as often as I can, especially on my birthday. What attracted me to come here was the fact they offer gluten-free options. I have celiac disease, and they have always taken very good care of me while I'm there. My pizza comes out on parchment paper, and the ice cream for the gluten free pizookie is taken from its own separate thing (from my understanding). I've never gotten sick, so that's a plus! You can also get a free mini pizookie on your birthday. I'd recommend BJ's brewhouse to anyone, especially those who have celiac or gluten intolerance. :) Great service too.

I've been a big fan of BJ's for a while mainly because of their draft beer selection. It's in-house so it's fresh and the servers can pour it nicely. Other than the beer they have nice apps and some even nicer dipping sauces for the apps, mainly the southwestern sauce mixed with anything. The avocado rolls are outstanding too. They have a nice seared ahi tuna salad that will light your flavor candles to boot. All in all I'd say this is par for the course as far as BJ's goes. They have a large menu and do most of the items above average, but stick with the beer and apps and you'll come back again and again.

Food was tasty. Our waitress wasn't bad but the manager wasn't on point. A teenager I had with me chipped her tooth on something in the burger patty. After waiting for 15 mins the manager finally came over...just to apologize. Really? Just a sorry? Not good enough. He said he hadn't had time to look at the ticket..poor excuse for making us ask for him several times. He took off her burger but not her salad. When pressed more he finally gave her a gift card. Corpus just isn't the place for good service or making it better when something is off.

Nice atmosphere comfortable seating. Overall this restaurant is best for its beer. Food is ok nothing special. However I did really enjoy the avocado egg rolls app!! 11$ though. Friend ordered a pizza said it had the quality and taste of a totinos frozen pizza. The crust did look burnt in my opinion.

Found this place with my wife back in 2003 in Laguna Beach, CA and ever since it has been one of our favorite places to go' the pizza is delicious and some of the beers are great. Some not so much. The reserve blonde stout that they have right now is next level deliciousness!

I absolutely love this place, first time eating there it was at an out of town location and when I saw they were opening up here I was sooo excited!!! Celebrated my 37th birthday there with my family! It's become my favorite restaurant!!! Not to mention the reward points they offer, just don't forget to use them like I do! lol Food is delicious, I keep trying different meals and their Raspberry/White Chocolate cookie dessert is to die for!

We just came to Corpus from San Diego and are super excited that BJs followed us out here! They brew their own beer and it's pretty tasty. Get the Cheese Burger Pizza! It's not on the menu, but if you know what an In n Out burger tastes like, you'll wanna give it a try!

Hate to give a 2-star review on this place. From Oklahoma and have dined at BJ's several times and know its success. Wife and I were vacationing in CC and stopped by for lunch. The waitress we had was terrible. She was polite, but it appeared she frequently forgot she was servicing our table. The only thing she did the whole time was initially say "Hello" and took our drink and food order. Our drinks were delivered by another staff member, our food was delivered by another staff member, and refills were provided by another staff member. To put in perspective how absent our waitress was - she stopped by and asked if we were ready for dessert before we even got our lunch. Come on now!Additionally, I ordered a hand tossed thin pepperoni pizza - i haven't even eaten a greasier pizza at Dominoes or Little Caesars! Certainly wouldn't expect it from a highly rated place like BJ's. My crust was so soggy the pizza literally drooped down from the grease. Highly recommend BJ's, just a bad experience

  • Truth F.

Our waitress was horrible. My food came out very burnt and when I sent it back it was forgotten. I was there with several of my girl friends and they had all finished their dessert when I asked if my meal was coming. Then our waitress just seems annoyed with us. After a while I stopped asking/explaining everything to my waitress and when we were leaving I spoke to the Manager. She was very nice and understanding. She refunded me my money and apologized.

Went to dinner there last night and it was great. The wait time for your table was quick. The service was excellent. The Oktoberfest Beer was a good choice to drink. Also, the stuffed mushrooms were amazing as an appetizer. The waiters were great and they have this VIP program which we signed up for so we can get discounts and we won't have to wait in line for a table in the future. The food did take a while to get to us but it was due to the place just opening and it was packed. I had the Bold Bleu Flatbread Pizza and my wife had the Biscotti Chicken and it was great. Plus the bar area is huge. They also had the football game on all the t.v.'s they had spread out all over the place. Overall was a great experience and i recommend this place to everyone. I definitely will return there.

I'm told this restaurant just opened in Corpus. The locals are flooding it because it's new. Food was good, but today's Sunday crowd was more than the staffing model could handle.

After hearing my Aunt rave about the root beer at BJs Brewhouse in Austin, I decided to try out the one here. I believe it just opened up a few/months/weeks ago. As we got to the entrance, we were greeted by our server, and given a good amount of time to choose what we liked. I chose the handcrafted root beer along with the chicken bacon ranch Pizza ( i think I got the smallest size they had, worrying about how much I could eat). Out came my drink! Our server notified me that they ran out of their normal straws, but gladly offered me a bendy yellow kids straw (meh, better than no straw!). I took a sip; it was way too sweet for my taste, or rather than any other generic root beer, but oh well. My pizza was out after maybe 15-20 minutes later. I took a bite of that; it tasted more salty than a pizza should be, but it was still quite edible. Our server was great, but please balance out the tastes in your food and drink.

Horrible place. Went there with some friends when they first opened and everything seemed fine. Food was ok but ambience was good. Since then it has been downhill. Went with whole family, 30 minutes to order, another 45 min for food to arrive. Wife's food burnt and dry (chicken). She ended up taking pizza to go. Had to ask to take the burnt chicken off the bill! Incredible. Stupidity and short memory made us go there again, this time just myself and my wife. Again, had long wait just to order food on a not so busy Thursday. When food arrived, potato skins were cold, dry, with just tiny amounts of cheese. Returned the potato skins and my wife had just the Pepsi. No apology offered. Will NEVER return again. We are not terribly picky people but do expect some minimum standards and at least a visit from manager and or comp the Pepsi would have been a nice gesture. We own 3 businesses locally and would never treat our customers like this. Unfortunately, corpus is one of those places where locals will flock to any new place even with bad food or service. Only good thing about this place is they have some good beers. Stay away.

My dinner was good, even though service level was slower than usual. I can understand that restaurants sometimes have staffing issues & other factors that can affect service. For that reason, I wasn't overly critical. I did appreciate that a member of management acknowledged the long time it took to get my dessert served. I still enjoyed my meal & dessert.

Loved the flatbread pizzas. Have good happy hour specials but alcoholic beverages watered down. Loved there mojitos. Also have sports on the big screen and lots of beers to choose from. Service was good and staff friendly

Dine here only for appetizers, meals suck beyond measure along with having a thumb placed in my plate before putting it on my table. That is not proper serving etiquette. Also main food was bland and dry. First beer we had took almost 25 minutes to come and that was just 3 people. Lousy service! And I am a hospitality major. I know service, where is it at? Not here! Three people served us and it was this lousy. Smh, we even ordered waters with no ice, however they all had ice.. Wow how hard is that! Also I never got my third beer, I'm assuming they were brewing it.

Still loving the beer menu. Wings remain tasty. The California burger is better with bacon but isn't everything? Bun was WAY over buttered. Greasy burgers dont need a greasy bun. Pizookies delish. Look, this place is a good bar with decent food...go for drinks and eat to soak up the alcohol! If I didnt drink alcohol I would not come to just eat the food, however, the prices are completely fair for the food. Servers are always friendly and dont rush you out despite the line out the door.

Came for dinner on a whim and the food was amazing. The menu is huge with a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options, which is hard to find in Corpus. The restaurant itself is huge and they take reservations for call ahead seating. I thought that was pretty neat. On to the actual food. The Parmesean crusted chicken was to die for! It is thinly sliced and topped with a delicious cream sauce (my husband's entree). I had the chicken tortilla soup in a sourdough bread bowl and was sad when I ran out of soup. It was a tad spicy but sooo good!! Also to add to the awesomeness, the root beer and cream soda is made in house and the best I've ever had! The service is the only reason I give 4 stars. If I could give a half star I would to make it 4 and a half. Our waitress was very unfriendly, didn't seem to have knowledge of the menu, and didn't return as often as I would have liked her to. My drink sat empty for a good 5 minutes before I had to ask another server for a refill. She only checked on us once after we received our food and took about 10 minutes to bring the check. Also, when I asked for ketchup for my daughters sliders she never brought it and by the time she remembered, she had already eaten them. We will be back because of the awesome food and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it!

We stopped in last Sunday thinking this was a new B & J's Pizza, it's not. It's a chain from CA. Nice atmosphere but slow service without that many people in. We decided to split a pizza but wanted diced tomato's on it. The waiter told us that there are already tomato's on the deep dish custom build. The pizza came without any tomato's or sauce from what we could tell and I've seen more ham on Pizza Huts buffet pizza. The crust and cheese was good but dry without sauce. The beer and salad was good. The waiter never asked how it was but if we needed anything. We won't be back.

We were fortunate enough to attend the "soft opening" of BJs and so glad we did! We'd never been to one - heard a lot about them, though. Now, I'm not a beer drinker, but our friends have been introducing us to "crafted" beers and BJs is the BEST place to sample those. They actually have a sampler of 4 beers (similar to a "flight" at a wine bar). You can go light or dark. We did both. My favorite, though, is their own "Oktoberfest" dark beer. GREAT flavor and I can tell I'll be a fan of beer from now on. They had a limited menu for the soft opening - starting off with an appetizer of spinach and artichoke dip with multicolored tortilla chips. EXCELLENT! The dip was creamy, hot, VERY tasty with chunks of artichokes. Their entrée choices were the seared ahi tuna salad, a steak and bleu cheese flatbread pizza, a "Maui glazed" pork chop and a roasted turkey breast sandwich. We tried them all and shared. The standouts were the tuna salad and the flatbread pizza!! Get an order each of those and it makes for an amazing dinner for two. The sandwich was just a sandwich; nothing too thrilling there.....well, except for the seasoned wedge fries that came with it. The pork chop had a great flavor but was a little tough. The service is as impressive as the atmosphere. Of course, this again was their soft opening so everyone's on their toes. But, we still had a very good experience for our first time at a BJ's Brewhouse and Restaurant. We look forward to going back soon.

I really like the mocktails and pizookies they have here, I always get the orange twist its really good and it has free refills! The food is good, not amazing or gross but standard. I like the tables and decor. Also the one time I got steak they gave me burnt brussel sprouts. bleghh. So uhh you should go...if you have alot of money...

They have great beers & seasonals I look forward to all year. Everytime I go I'm lucky to have a good server. Why the bad review? The food! I dunno what the hell is goin on in that kitchen. Last time we order chicken wings, they were raw, I mean salmonella RAW inside. Asked the manager for a shot of tequila to kill the bacteria, he laughed, we were serious. He offered a beer on the house, which he never brought. Even though that sucked, I wasn't gonna post it bc well, I like their beer. So we go the other night for a hand tossed pizza & its the last time I'll be eating their food. I've got an iron stomach, I drink the water in Mexico without problem, but I'm done with BJ's food.

Dirty dishes, I had to go and finally go and get the hostess so we could get drinks after sitting and waiting for 15 minutes (I set a timer) my youngest ordered apple juice and she didn't get that till about 7 min after we got our iced tea. So far VERY VERY poor service. Well it didn't improve! The food was cold, I ordered chicken wings, and they were dry, sauce came in a little tiny cup. My youngest got spaghetti and we had to ask for more sauce, not our waitress, just one hat was walking by because ours was nowhere to be found for about 10 minutes. I will NEVER come here again.

Food was ok, drinks were ok, service was ok. Bathrooms looked dirty. We will probably be back if visiting the area again.

Definitely a fan. Of the chains, I think they are the best. I noticed a complaint on service, been here several times and each time the server (different one each time) was excellent. Way better than I've had at other chains. The food is very good. Hard to find good American in this town. I actually think their Calamari is as good as any Italian place in town.

No sure what happened, but we went Thursday night and waited for our food forever. We were there at 8:30 and the place was half full. Waiter was great but out food took way too long.

The lasagna had too much cheese and not enough tomato sauce. The fried artichoke dip had too much pickle or lemon (whatever made it tart) in it. It seems like the food could be great if they got the proportion of ingredients right.

The applewood smoked bacon cheeseburger and fries were delicious! As was the beer on draft. Service needed much improvement but hopefully he was not the norm.

One thing to know! Beer on Tap!!! Plenty to choose from! Really great atmosphere huge menu selection! I have never been dissatisfied yet! I am with their rewards card program! It can be a little pricey but it's worth it! Cherry chipotle salmon is delicious, always order the tomato and mozzarella salad! I've had the bison burger which is very great also!! Full size bar the liquor is up to the ceiling :). TVs for sports watching also!

Quite possibly one of the best, if not the best in Corpus Christi. Chain or not, this place does service and food at an excellent style. Courteous and polite with good food. Definite return visit needed often.

Went there for the Spurs game and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it's in a very cookie cutter version of the strip mall brewpub but it does it pretty well. The beer that they brew are the standard fare from lager to stout and also have a large selection of beer with a full bar to boot. The service was spot on even on game night which can easily overtax even the best establishments. As for the food, the menu was huge and I hope to try a few items soon but hope they keep it to the same caliber as the rest of the place.

Food is as expected. The curbside to go (I've used it 4 times now) is as long of a wait as eating in the restaurant itself... Not a timesaver so don't use it.

Silverware was dirty. Menu was greasy. They dropped the vegetarian burger. Waiter was nice but it shouldn't take 5 minutes to get your water. I think they had to catch the fish. Husband was half way through his Asian chicken salad before it came out. Fish and fries were beyond greasy. Think I may use the fish to bait a feral cat trap for trap neuter release. After I take off the breading.

The staff could be more attentive, when I need something I notice a server on their cell phone or chatting with another employee. The food and beverages are top notch though.

I'm a big fan of BJ's brewhouse, delicious food, laid back atmosphere and a excellent selection of drinks. However the one constant from BJ's is their poor service. I can say I've been to BJ's over twenty times since it opened last year and come to expect long waits. Excluding the pizza and appetizers I personally don't enjoy the other menu items as they tend to be bland. The menu is quite overwhelming with choices ranging from steak, burgers, seafood and almost anything you would expect for chili's. Inside of the restaurant is stunning, beautiful paintings and big screen tvs surrounding the customers. Inside the bathrooms are usually disgusting,BJ's installed the toilets too close to the floor and theirs always "puddles". Overall, BJ's brewhouse is a great place to eat and enjoy beer and pizza. Don't expect to get in and out under and hour.

Not bad for a chain restaurant. The beer is good, the food is decent, the prices are fair. Everybody can find something on the menu that they like. Skip Applebees, Cheddars, Cracker Barrel, Chilis, TGIFridays, etc go here

Visited last night. Not sure what all the hubbub is about. 1. Their customer service was actually 5 stars. The waiter was very nice. 2. We sat in a booth, but I didn't enjoy the guy sitting on the other side looking over the half fall to see what we're eating or listening to what we were saying. I almost said something to him, but thought better. 3. I'm only giving their food 3 stars. Had chicken pot stickers w/ soy ginger sauce. Was ok, but I enjoy the California Pizza Kitchen's pot stickers a lot more. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Club w/ string fries, hubby ordered Bacon Cheeseburger w/ wedge-cut fries. The burger was too charbroiled for our taste and my sandwich was a bit dry. The toast was a bit too toasted for me as well. I would prefer Fuddrucker's burgers, to be honest. It's juicier and has more flavor. Would I visit this restaurant again? Most likely not. It wasn't anything special.

The food here is very good. Their pizza is super yummy, and one of my favorite dishes is the Parmesan crusted chicken (asks for extra sauce, it's super delicious) with cheesy mashed potatoes. I think my favorite appetizer would be the corn fritters with the bacon aïoli (definitely for extra sauce). I'm not much of a beer drinker but my husband is. They have a very very wide selection of beers to choose from. I husband and I did try one of their beer flights that was able to let me try some of the beers I was curious about without having to pay full price for a full beer. They also have where each person over the age of 21 can try and taste of beer at no charge.

Love the one in San Antonio. Clean! Friendly! However Corpus Christi's rest rooms getting dirtier and dirtier. Service so-so. Came in for beer and burger. Tables dirty. Waitress's standing around not helping or serving. Talking! We had to ask a server to clean a table so we could sit in the bar area. Maybe 10 people in the Resturant and it's 12:12 pm. Typical for Corpus. Sad.

I love this place for the beer! Only place I've seen Weihenstephan beer on tap in Corpus. The food is good too, but a bit overpriced. I enjoy going for their happy hour appetizers and beer :)

Pizza and beer, plain and simple. Pizza was very good, and the selection of beer was impressive. The decor is nothing special, but that's really the only negative.

Went here for lunchtime with my girlfriend. We were promptly seated, and they waitress attended to us fairly quickly. I enjoyed the interior decorations and overall ambience, but that's where my good experience ended. I ordered the "handcrafted root beer made in house," and needless to say it came out extremely flat. I think I could've really enjoyed it because the flavor was not bad. We ordered a couple of appetizers: the calamari and stuffed mushrooms, and two entrees: chicken fried chicken and crispy fish tacos. It took quite a while (30 minutes or so after we ordered them) to get the appetizers out. Also, the entrees came out immediately after not giving us enough time to eat the appetizers. The presentation was nice but the food didn't really have much flavor and was under-seasoned. My girlfriends mashed potatoes were cold. Also another issue was after the waitress brought our food out she never returned to check on us or refill our drinks. The next time she returned was to give us our check. It took another 15 minutes to get my change after she came for the money. Perhaps this is just an isolated incident, but we probably won't be going back for a while. Poor first impressions are hard to overcome, but we will eventually be back to give them one more try.

Awesome pizza and nice dive feel to the place! I lived in Chicago for a good portion of my life, so I think I can be a little snooty when it comes to pizza. This stuff is LEGIT! Don't pass it up!

Came here with the family after a day out and about. 35 minutes after ordering our appetizer showed up - after I reminded the waiter. Oh, and my salad I ordered with my main after the drinks showed up showed up 15 minutes before the appetizer. Food is great as always after waiting 45 min but give yourself time because they are not interested in serving you in any reasonable amount of time. They said its hectic in the kitchen so that is why it is slow but there are no real sporting events and the place is 2/3rds full so while I appreciate the explanation it doesn't mean I have to like it.

Having been to several BJ's locations back west, I was pleased to see one here in Corpus Christi. This is a great place to bring family and friends out to eat. Think about eating here for someone's birthday, the birthday pizookies are awesome, that's a large sized cookie with vanilla ice cream on top by the way. Also, if it's someone's 21st you should have them try the beer sampler, it's a great way for them to discover what brew they like. Personally, I really enjoy the Piranha Pale Ale and HopStorm IPA. Check out their descriptions of each here: bjsrestaurants.com/bj-be… My visit to this location was on par with my past experiences, quick seating, great food, and friendly service. As soon as we put down our IDs on the edge of the table, our waitress hurried over and asked us what we'd be getting to drink. I picked up the Piranha while my date had the Brewhouse Blonde. It was just a few moments before she came back with the beers and was ready to take our order. We ended up splitting an order potato skins and grilled chicken pasta. Both were very delicious and large portions. I would recommend it to anyone. BJ's brewhouse has enough variety of dishes that really anyone could find something they love. They even offer a decent gluten-free menu to accommodate those sensitive to gluten. If you haven't tried BJ's yet, you are missing out.

I'm a big fan on consistency, and so far I havent seen it at BJ's. 1st experience was great...most recent was not great. Slow service and mediocre food at best. Their home brews are the only thing keeping me coming back.

service was excellent, will say that, and was a really nice facility, clean, spacious and comfortable, if you like beer and a burger probally the best place to get one but the food..ok, wings cooked fine, but really just had off flavor in sauces, not in a bad way, just not good kids pizza came out cooked incorrectly and was less then spectacular, would compare can get better in grocery store freezer large menu of pub food and american entrees but nothing spectacularly wonderful or exciting, maybe a step up from Applebee's ? would be fair comparison, very few healthy or lighter choices was in a hurry, next to hotel, quality enough considering limited options nearby, served its purpose but not a place we would seek out regularly

I had heard of this place, but didn't realize it was a chain restaurant. Excellent service and I observed a lot of team work amongst the staff (always great to see that). Place was packed and took us awhile to get through a large menu. Servers were plentiful and ours was really on the ball. The food here is very good! I had the sliders and they were delicious and cooked perfectly. My co-worker had the fish taco and he said they were delicious. We end the night with one of the best desserts on the planet, a pizookie! A deep dish cookie topped with ice cream. The only disappointment was that the beer was not being brewed on site, although they brew their own root beer, which is amazing!! I was in Corpus for two weeks on business and this was by far one of the best restaurants I visited! I would highly recommend this restaurant because of its great food and the amazing selection of craft beers on tap!!

The worst wait and service I have ever received. 1 hr wait for a table of 7, while tables sat empty and people with groups of 4 were sat right away. 30 mins for first drink order to arrive. 45 mins before salads were served. 2 hours before food arrived. Will never go back.

Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
