Okay, originally I wanted LA burger, but I came across this place and remembered that they have decent reviews, so I thought "why not?" When entering, everyone greeted us. When we got to the able at the table, we were given edamame and sushi tacos. Cool, free food! And about a minute or two, the waitress started to ask if we're ready to order... I guess it's nice that they're being attentive.. I was hungry at the moment and wanted to do the AYCE, but my friends were kinda full at the moment.. I had no idea whether or not I have to sit at another table if I chose the AYCE while my friends get a normal dish. So I decided to do the same thing as my friends.. I am a person who is iffy about eating raw fish. So therefore, I do not order sashimi or whatever that have rawness in it. So I chose the Lobster roll, thinking that I'll get chunks of lobster around the roll...but it's actually crawfish.. and there's alot. I guess it's nice that it's tiny, but this year, crawfish season is suppose to be good. So shouldn't the pieces be a bit bigger? Maybe it's because they have to stir fry or whatever they do to it that they shrunk....It would be nice if they can change the name, so those who are expecting Lobster won't be disappointed like me. But I did like my roll. It was slightly greasy, but better greasy than dry, right? My friend, who eat sushi often, mentioned that the rice was a bit dry. I am someone who don't eat sushi often, so it was alright for me. We received a complimentary dish! It was a half baked salmon roll(?) It was warm and soft to eat. Something that I can see myself ordering later on. My friend ordered the Shrimp Lover roll. After eating my roll, eating her roll was a bit weird. it's a transition of warm to cool. It's like leaving the sauna and dunking in the cold pool. Not really pleasant to experience... but that's just me..and the other friend ordered Salmon Sashimi, so I did not bother trying hers at all. We received sliced oranges when receiving our bill. It was nice and sweet. When walking out, everyone greeted us out. Overall, it was a nice experience. I might return soon to try out the AYCE (and when I have the moneys...-poor college student..) There was one thing bothering me. There was these white paper on top of the table. It's probably to prevent the table from getting dirty..but it was annoying. So we didn't know if we can or can not take it off...

This restaurant is a joke, the sushi is tasteless, tempura has too much batter on it, the service is not good, this is my first and last time visit this place.

I've been back a couple times since my initial review. Still top notch for someone who admittedly is not a sushi afficionado. Just updating to say that the AYCE menu is available for people dining solo--something I didn't know when I originally reviewed.

First off, this is the first time I've been in a non-buffet style AYCE (all you can eat) restaurant. That being said, it was an excellent experience that I would gladly like to repeat, though not anytime too soon considering how much I ate this first time I was here. Here are the main points that made it great: 1. Quality isn't sacrificed. In fact, the salmon nigiri was some of the fattiest salmon I've ever eaten/seen. 2. Despite sashimi not being part of the AYCE menu, the nigiri more than makes up for it. The bed of rice was very minimal unlike other AYCE places that offer small slivers of fish meat atop a ton of rice. To give you a better picture, I was able to wrap my salmon around my whole bed of rice so top and bottom were covered by salmon. Not sure if this is always the case or just because right off the bat our table ordered 7 orders of salmon nigiri. Either way, generous portions that aren't just rice to fill you and cut down on costs. 3. Some rolls are only 4 pcs or less rather than a full 8 pcs. This means you can try to see if it's good with just a few pieces and if it's not you're not wasting food/risking overcharge for wasting food. And if it is good and you want more, it's AYCE so just order more! Likewise, you can try a lot more rolls since you're not having to finish off multiple pieces of one roll. 4. Appetizers, such as miso soup and edamame, are part of the AYCE ordering menu. We were provided some free edamame and these sort of nacho sushi appetizers to try once we sat down fairly instantly as they got our drink orders. The nacho sushi was definitely delicious albeit a bit saucy. 5. They are very attentive! They will come by your table fairly often to make sure you're doing alright, clear plate away quickly, or see if you want to order more. They also provide a water jar at the table for you to refill as you need. Everything is brought to you. Our server was very friendly and made sure to explain how it works before we began ordering. At the end of the meal the manager came around to make sure we were satisfied. Opinion on the rolls: Lobster Roll is just about the same as the Cajun Popcorn Lobster roll except it lacks some of the tempura on top. I would recommend Lobster roll more as it comes with more meat. Heaven In Ya Mouth roll was a bit more disappointing, but as it was only 3 pieces in the order, it was worth trying just not worth re-ordering. Alaska roll was good and as it was only 4 pieces it satisfied the craving without causing too much damage towards trying new/other things available. Volcano is actually 8 pieces! Though it's good, 2 orders (aka 16 pieces) was a bit more than necessary even with 4 people eating. OMG special is 2 pieces and I did not try it but my friend did not seem particularly fond of it. Roly Poly special for some reason tasted weird to me, like it had onions (which I don't like), but otherwise it's great. Good carbless roll as it's choice of Salmon, Albacore or Red Snapper wrapping crabmeat. We didn't actually choose which fish but they auto gave us Salmon (not sure if it's default or because we had ordered so much of it already showing our love for it). I orderd one hand roll (tiger shrimp, came with 2 shrimps and spicy tuna) to try and it was good in size and taste. I would assume the others would be similar in sizing at the very least. I would suggest also trying the red clam. I know you can't really go wrong with Red Clam where ever you go but it was really good here. Scallop nigiri was also decent though mixed reviews on the spicy Scallop at our table. The only maybe downside is that you can easily run out of table room especially if not eating fast enough! Then again, that shows how fast they bring your food to you as well. :) Also, dessert (tempura ice cream, etc) is not including in AYCE but to be honest by the end of the meal (which ended for us after two rounds of massive ordering) every one was so stuffed there really wasn't room for dessert. In terms of cost, I ate about 25 pieces of sushi total so roughly 3 or so rolls worth of sushi and Saturday AYCE dinner is $29.99 before tax/tip, add on some appetizers (miso soup, edamame, etc) included in cost too. My boyfriend ate around 35 pieces and in total with two other friends we ordered 110+ pieces of sushi (nigiri/roll pieces/hand roll all counting by piece). Result, totally worth the price and you probably won't want to eat sushi for at least another week or more having eaten your fill here.

This is a fairly new sushi restaurant that opened right next to my house. I'm very glad they did! The food is awesome and the service is even better. They're always smiling when they see you walk in. Great atmosphere! Definitely recommended!
(5)Kylynn B.
We visited this restaurant for the first time a few nights ago and it was wonderful. It was very clean, had great service and most of all the food was awesome. The all you can eat menu has a great variety to choose from. I look forward to visiting again!
(5)Charles B.
This was a totally enjoyable experience. The people were friendly and helpful. The waiter was exceptional. The restaurant made the meal fun and the sushi was excellent. I have had great sushi in California, but this was every bit as good if not better. The OMG and Roly Poly rolls were great as advertised. Everything was very good. I will tell everyone I know who likes Sushi about this restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant!
(5)Mike S.
Awesome!! Some of the best sushi we have ever had, and we have had it all over the world! The service was outstanding and everyone was very friendly.
(5)Jay S.
We were frequent customers at one of the California locations and always felt sad that there was no place TRULY like Sake 2 Me here in Texas. Thankfully now there is! This place does NOT sacrifice quality even though being a AYCE sushi restaurant. Great service, food, and atmosphere!
(5)Liberty S.
This place was pleasantly and shockingly delicious! I appreciate their rice and fish meat ratio in the sushi. I went there with my boyfriend and we chose the buffet option of their unlimited select items which included sushi (not sashimi), rolls and half orders of rolls, and appetizers. We've tried several sushi buffets around dallas, all of which has around the same price at sake 2 me ($30 buffet at dinner). But the quality of the fish here just blows other restaurants out of the water. You won't want to go to Tokyo one, osaka, etc anymore. Other places try to tote a large rice proportion and a tiny fish portion, in an effort to fill their customers belly with cheaper ingredients. And their quality of fishes such as salmon and yellowtail leave much to be desired. Sake 2 me will give you unlimited quality fish that can match other well known sushi restaurants of dallas. They also offer their items a la cart. The service was good, the place is korean - owned and the building is in the hmart plaza area. They did let me bring my own Bottle of Merlot but at a $10 charge. I will be back to give subsequential reviews on my next visits to go over their other dishes that I have yet to try.
(5)Michelle G.
Very good, the service and food is amazing. They play very good music! AYCE is actually all you can it! I left there so full
(4)Ari M.
Went there for lunch and it was impressive to say the least. I didn't know it was a chain, but I see why they're successful. Had the fried Sashimi, Bento Box I couldn't finish, & even the Miso Soup stood out. All you can eat sounds tempting for dinner!
(5)Faruk M.
This place opened recently. Today was our first time here. The staff are friendly and food quality was very good. we tried all you can eat sushi for the first time. They gave us a check list with all the sushi and rolls that are available. we ordered without realizing the size of the sushi(they are big) and how many pieces we are getting(alot of pieces). we ended up ordering full table of sushi and rolls......it was just too much for 3 of us. I wish the staffs informed usthat it maybe too much or just brought them one by one so we know our limit. We tried our best to finish them but still ended up wasting some of it. They didnt allow us to take the remainings home which is typical for buffet style restaurants. I never wasted that much food in my life. so I felt so guilty. :( Just be aware of how much you are ordering.
(5)Darren A.
This place is off the charts good. 24.99 lunch and 29.99 dinner all you can eat. You get three rounds of ordering, I only made it through 1. The rolls were incredibly delicious and the fish was extremely fresh. The staff was also extremely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this, best quality sushi for the money
(5)Judy T.
They have really good service. The sushi rolls are huge. The sushi is really fresh. They gave us all these complimentary appetizers and soup. We ordered off the menu instead of having the buffet. Food was very flavorful and yummy!
(5)Linh N.
One word: impressed!! Great and quick service, large portion, good quality and thumbs up with all the appetizer freebies
(5)M H.
Just came back (FULL!) from our first visit to this fine AYCE establishment. $25 at 1pm on a Saturday and, boy, it was worth every penny. We were three adults and we all loved it. We'll be back!
(5)Antoinette D.
The sushi is so fresh and the service is outstanding! Next time I'll be sure to wear elastic-waist pants!!
(5)Allie G.
I stumbled upon Sake2me. This is a very new restaurant so they are trying to iron the kinks out. I ordered the Bento Box which was flavorful and plentiful. Everything was very tasty and cooked just right. Service was great!

I took my wife here for lunch on 4-25-15, and we found ourselves a new AYCE sushi buffet that serves very fresh sushi with above average service. Upon entering we were greeted very warmly by servers and sushi chefs. We were promptly seated and the servers took our drink orders. I was pleasantly surprised that they brought out 2 appetizers, edamame, and two crab meat balls on tortilla chips. They were both delicious. We ordered a variety of sushi, rolls, a mixed tempura, miso soup, and a salad. Their fish to rice ratio was excellent, a big piece of fish with small portion of rice. Everything we had was very good! I heard that their yellow tail was excellent, but forgot to try it, on my next visit I will definitely try it.The only complaint that I had was that their dessert menu was non existent. I saw a server bringing out two oranges to another table who had just got done eating. So I assuming that was their dessert. Anyway... Not that big of a deal! FYI AYCE lunch for 24.95 and dinner 29.99. Will be back soon !! Price: 4 out of 5 Atmosphere: 5 out of 5 Food: 5 out 5 Service: 5 out of 5
(5)Tammy N.
Great service and great sushi! You definitely get your money's worth even if you only eat one round. $30 all you can eat and there are so many options and the rolls are huge. Every thing came out quickly and tasted great. Will be back
(5)Grace C.
Great presentation. Got two different appetizer for complimentary. So why 3star? They're over priced. $40 for all you can eat sushi. Freaking $8 for kids' udon... Really? If I'm paying $40, my expectation is much higher. Unfortunately they didn't meet that... Plus the owner kept smoking outside the front door. I went in to restaurant breathing in his cigarette and left the restaurant breathing in his cigarette again. NOT COOL.
(3)Bercin C.
This place is as good as an AYCE sushi restaurant can get (not really my cup of tea). We tried the dinner combo (3 dishes for $17). It came with miso soup (can be refilled upon request) and salad. The sashimi was fresh, but bland. The portions were huge, so we couldn't finish everything on our plates, but didn't end up taking any of it home anyway. Overall, nice ambience, pretty good service, but meh sushi.
(3)SirLoin O.
Just did the AYCE / all-you-can-eat sushi buffet after reading all the Yelp reviews, and I'm glad I did. I was just blown away by how good the food was. At first, I was disappointed when I realized you couldn't order just the raw fish / sashimi. I've been to too many places where they give you a cannonball-sized ball of sushi rice with paper-thin slice of sashimi. I also noticed that this Japanese sushi place is place is run by Koreans -- instead of Japanese people. So, I started to worry I was not going to get a good, authentic Japanese sushi experience. But then I saw my first plate of sushi, and as you can see from the pics, the pieces of fish were GIGANTIC. Even more important than that: the fish were super fresh and super good quality. I was super impressed. The restaurant is right by New Korea Town, and the biggest and best Asian grocery store in the DFW metroplex (HMart) is right beside the restaurant -- that probably explains why the fish was so fresh and why they can afford to only charge $25 for an AYCE sushi deal. I will be back. And if you haven't been here yet: you need to try it out. You will not be disappointed.
(5)Thy N.
This place is recently opened! And I've already been here twice! The sushi is fresh and service is on point! Price is expensive for AYCE compared to other places! I'll definitely be coming back, but I will just order off the menu instead of AYCE! The food deserve 5 stars itself but prices is the downside! I would overall give 4 stars, but we got a roll on the house! I can't complain about the services. They truly take good care of their customers!Thank you so much for your kindness!
(5)Kat A.
Decent for the price. If you want cheap nigiri with bad salty & sweet sushi rice & a decent sized fish, come here. Rolls are nasty; all of them have a large heaping of super sweet mayo. Service is ok; way too understaffed. If you come thinking it's another Osaka, Tokyo One or Japan House, drive back and go to those. This place has a few selection of starters, decent selection of nigir, and rolls; that's it nothing else. No udon, hot pot, boiled seafood, meat dishes or even shrimp tempura...not even dessert. Will I go back; probably, if I want to eat cheap nigiri.
(3)Pauline P.
I would give this place 3.5 stars but I rounded down to 3. My friend and I decided to go for the AYCE sushi lunch for $24.95 a person. You're only allowed to order 3 rounds of food which is fine since we only made it to 2 rounds...they charge you extra if you leave rice behind but I guess this makes sense because you don't go to a pizza buffet and only eat the cheese and toppings. Most of the rolls are California rolls (or something with crab meat) with stuff on top. All the rolls were pretty average/decent, nothing really wow-ed me. Crab and sauce overload. But with most AYCE sushi places, they tend to skimp on the fish and pack on the rice. Sake 2 Me does a pretty good job at not packing on the rice and giving you a fair amount of everything. At least with the nigiri, they put large pieces of fish on top of the rice. It may be worth it if you mostly eat nigiri. The baked mussels aren't too shabby either. Was it worth the $24.95? Probably not. I would rather go to Osaka where it's only $17.95 for AYCE lunch which includes sashimi and rolls amongst many many other things and I wouldn't get a slap on the wrist for leaving some rice behind. BEWARE: if the items have a star next to them, then the plate comes with 4 pieces - if not, it comes with 8 pieces. I unfortunately ended the meal with 8 pieces of the 911 roll and had to force myself to finish all of them. The service wasn't great either. It took a long time for our waitress to return to get our second round orders. I guess she assumed since we had ordered so much food during the first round we wouldn't go for another.
(3)Ivy W.
Please come here if you are an avid sushi lover and are capable of appreciating fresh nigiri! Their nigiri is ridiculously good - not good just for buffet standards but good overall. It is so worth the price of $24.95. If you think about it, 2 pieces per order at a regular sushi restaurant estimates to be like $6 .. so you're getting such a good deal here. I tried the edamame, tempura, and mussels too but they were just okay. The menu has a bunch of other rolls too but judging from the reviews about the rolls, I decided to just save my appetite for the nigiri. I wouldn't recommend this place if you only want sushi rolls or want to get full of "real food". Service is quick and friendly. The decor is modern, dark brown wood everywhere. The environment is calm and casual. This isn't get up and go around the buffet line type of buffet. They hand you a menu and you write what you want. If you're looking for the whole shabang Asian buffet to serve you oysters, fried rice, and udon noodles, go to Osaka or Tokyo One. I can't stress this enough- only come to Sake 2 me Sushi for the nigiri!
(5)Jen D.
I was very pleased with everything here. The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and everyone said hello. Very attentive The food... Omg I wanted to get all you can eat, but I decided I wasn't THAT hungry. So I got a lunch bento box with tempura, sashimi, and salmon teriyaki. I was worried I would still be hungry, so I debated about getting some gyoza. No need! They brought out so much food!!! They gave me some sushi nachos before my food came out and a bowl of steamed edemame. The bento box was overflowing!! I couldn't finish what they gave me! And every after all that, they brought me another dish free of charge. It was too much. So delicious And it was only $10!!! I WILL BE BACK! :)
(5)Lily F.
The concept is ingenious. You have three rounds to choose what type of sushi you'd like, with description of the rolls on the back of the order menu that you mark up. At first, I thought I had found my new sushi place in Carrollton, but I soon discovered that most of the rolls were one note. Unless you get the nigiri and some miso soup, you're going to be eating a lot of California rolls topped with something and drizzled with extremely sweet teriyaki sauce of some sort. In the beginning, I thought it was tasty, but by the third specialty roll you kind of get the picture. The nigiri sushi that we ordered fell apart as soon as you touched it because the rice was too wet, but the fish tasted good. The other huge issue was the service. We had to flag down the waitress each time we wanted something otherwise we would have to wait. None of the drinks were refilled unless asked. It seems that the two waitresses working didn't have a clear table assignment and just went to whichever one, causing confusion of sometimes bringing two of something or bringing none because they assumed the other one would get it. Several times I made eye contact and did wave with one of the waitresses trying to get her attention and she would still walk off. I hate to say it, but for a similar price, you can go to Tokyo One to get better quality fish (sashimi), along with hot pot, crab legs and dessert if you wanted.
(3)Angel P.
I've been reading a lot about this place from other yelpers and it got me really intrigued about this place. Went to try it this past weekend and WOW I am very surprised at how good this place was! We ordered a variety of things from nigiri, to fresh rolls and fried rolls. The salmon nigiri was so fresh and marbled. It's actually better than a few regular sushi places. The salmon to rice ratio was great as well. The yellowtail and albacore nigiri were pretty good but not as outstanding as the salmon. The fresh rolls were delicious, my favorite was the rolly poly! It's very much like butterfly kisses at other places. The salmon surrounding the crabmeat is quite thick though but it is a pretty fatty piece of salmon. I also really enjoyed the hot night roll. It has a good combination of flavors and went great together. The popcorn lobster roll wasn't as great as I expected and the baked mussels werent very good either. I was a bit iffy coming here at first since the price is so high for JUST sushi, unlike tokyo one, osaka, etc that has a good variety of seafood and other food as well. The quality of the sushi here is a ton better than those places. It is also nice to have the rolls freshly made as you order and they make them quick as well! My advice for anyone eating here is to skip the tempura rolls, they are really big, with the most rice and very heavy, unless you just really prefer fried rolls of course. however, if you are trying to make the most out of your money, order something else. It is $25 for lunch Mon-Sat and $30 for lunch on Sun and dinners. Apparently the price is the only difference between lunch and dinner so come for lunch if you can!
(4)Lisa T.
Food (4/5) This is by far the best all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi I have ever had in Dallas. For $25 during lunch or $30 during dinner, you're given a sheet of paper to mark up your order with a wide selection to choose from: nigiri, fresh rolls, baked rolls, hand rolls, and specialty rolls. Portions are clearly marked on the menu so it's easy to gauge how much to order. Be careful to not over-order as there is a fee for wasting food! We ordered a variety of sushi. All were extremely fresh, and I was surprised by the overall quality of the fish given the AYCE setting. My favorites would have to be the nigiri though. Don't get me wrong - the fresh rolls and specialty rolls are great and are perfect if you're looking for more flavorful and "creative" rolls, but I think the taste of spicy mayo and eel sauce got repetitive for me. What really impressed me was the nigiri, which had a generous slice of fresh fish atop rice. It doesn't hurt to try the rolls but the quality of the nigiri is unparalleled compared to all the other Dallas AYCE sushi places and a good majority of regular sushi joints in general. Service (5/5) We came in pretty early on a Thursday night (~5:45PM), so this perception may be a bit skewed but service was impeccable. Since it was our first time, the waitress was extremely helpful in walking us through the menu and how to order. Afterwards, she was extremely attentive - always making sure that our water was filled, empty plates were taken away, and our order was fulfilled quickly. Really well done job :) Atmosphere (3.5/5) While there are plenty of table seating and there are several windows to allow in natural light, I found the overall restaurant space to be bare. It could have been because we were one of two parties at the restaurant. It could have also been because it was about to rain so it was cloudy outside. Whatever it was, I felt like the restaurant didn't have much soul in the main dining room area. Bottom Line Hands down the best AYCE sushi in Dallas with great service to boot. The atmosphere isn't really on par with how great the food and service is, but it's not enough to deter me from coming back. Highly recommend this place for any sushi lover who claims to have a bottomless stomach! :D

I have yet to indulge in Sake 2 Me's all you can eat (AYCE) menu but from what I've heard from other fellow Yelpers and what I've seen from their generous portion sizes, I'm confident that you'll be leaving with an extremely full tummy despite forgoing the buffet option. For appetizers, we were given the taco sushi (or sushi taco? I'm not 100% sure) and unsalted edamame. Service was prompt and out waters were brought out almost immediately. My family ordered bento boxes. You choose 3 sides and it also comes with a large salad. Yes, there is miso soup! I ordered the teriyaki salmon, mixed sashimi and mixed nigiri. For around $10, I wasn't anticipating a ginormous mind boggling portion. To my surprise, the bento box was ginormous! The sashimi and nigiri cuts are extremely generous. Definitely a lot more fish than rice. The fish was fresh and very tasty. Having thick tasty cuts of fish made me do the happy dance in my seat. The teriyaki salmon was unfortunately a little overcooked - still editable but a bit tough. I'm really impressed by Sake 2 Me thus far and I can't wait to try out the AYCE menu. Excited but also terrified because I may not be able to move afterwards. Someone bring a cot and carry me out please :)

Sake 2 Me Sushi is a Japanese restaurant in Carrollton's Korean district that has a unique twist on dining: All You Can Eat rolls made to order. This NOT a buffet with pre-made rolls & sushi. Instead you'll have the opportunity to eat as many rolls you can order for one price. But the quality can vary and the price for the AYCE special does not include sashimi. My Overall Rating - 2 1/2 Stars (Atmosphere, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Sake 2 Me Sushi is located mainly in a Korean area, but it's a nice, spacious restaurant with plenty of seating. There's a sushi bar, plenty of quality seating, and quite a bit of wood work. You won't find the same people that you'd find at Uptown hotspot Uchi. Instead you'll find like-minded sushi enthusiasts wanting to enjoy a wallet friendly sushi meal. It may not work for everyone but it works for me. 1 Star. Service - Spotty - keep in mind there are a few rules to an AYCE restaurant. First there was confusion over who was our server was with two different servers taking our order and making us shuffle our seats. According to their policy, people who partake in AYCE must sit on the same end. I get it, they want to make sure you don't rip them off, but our party had a one older member and a child they insisted we move to the end. Finally common sense prevailed but our server did seem annoyed with us. Being AYCE can lead to dirty plates too, and unfortunately ours got stacked high before getting attention and out small eating plates were never replaced unless requested. No Stars. Food - The rolls are good. They are high quality and made to order. BUT....I do have a few important items we discovered. 1. Sashimi is not AYCE. 2. Most of the better rolls are cooked. 3. They use A LOT of rice in the rolls. 4. Many rolls begin with a California roll base but the imitation crab meat they use is only average. Also, I ended up discarding much of the rice as I thought it was unnecessary. But they do have plenty of delicious options that you'll eventually ordering because it'. Also, they have great presentation. I thoroughly enjoyed the following rolls: Crunch - Covered with tempura flakes Dynamite - Baked role with plenty of shrimp, crab, scallops Baked Lobster - Similar to above but with lobster O.M.G. Special - Deep fried! How do you not like that? What I found was I enjoyed the cooked rolls better than the fresh. But the variety will keep you from getting bored and since it's made to order you'll be sure the rolls have not been sitting out. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Probably - but only when I'm in the mood for AYCE. There are better sushi restaurants in DFW but it's hard to beat the value when the rolls are made to order. Just keep in mind AYCE is market price so you can expect to pay $20 - $30 pp (we paid $30 for Holiday lunch). If you like quality rolls in an AYCE setting, this is your place. If you're more or a sushi/sashimi lover, look elsewhere. 1/2 Star. My Yelp Rating Scale (Sum of all parts): 1 Star - Atmosphere - Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I'll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star - Service - You can have a great meal with bad service. But that's also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It's important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars - Food - I'll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it's really all about the food. 1 Star - Will I come back? - If I know for a fact I'll return, I'll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food (2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Yelp score.

After years of only having Tokyo One, Osaka, and Japan House has decent all you can eat sushi places, a place finally opened up after I moved. Thanks, Dallas. On my last few weeks here, I stopped by with six other friends for dinner on a Thursday. It was pretty dead so we were seated immediately and served fairly quickly. Unlike the other places were it's a buffet, this is one that you order from and each is made to order. We were given a sheet for the whole table to order which seemed extremely dangerous and confusing as we weren't sure how to split it up and didn't want to suffer the leftovers' costs. Luckily they allowed us to have two since we were technically on two separate tables. On that sheet, are three rounds that you are allowed to order. The challenging part was getting to the third round. Being the only one who hadn't been here yet, I wanted to try everything and was lucky (as always) that my friends (or at least my side) was willing to oblige. The rolls are good, dudes. They aren't the best but considering it's an AYCE, it's pretty good. The nigiri is really where it's really at. On our first round, we had half rolls and half nigiri. On the second round, it was mostly nigiri and of that nigiri, it was mostly salmon nigiri because let's face it: I am a salmon addict and my friends are almost there too. My side of the table barely made it to the third round (and I mean barely because only one thing was marked). The other side of the table, had a black hole guy who was able to get to the third round easily. The service is also really great. Our servers were nice, patient, and willing to work with us even though we're a rather loud and obnoxious group. Our waters were also always filled. Overall there's definitely better sushi in general but this is hands down the best AYCE sushi place I've been to in the DFW. Thanks LA for bringing it over!

This place is no where comparable to Tokyo one or Osaka bc at least there you could get crab legs and such. I honestly would not come back here just because I'd rather spend 35 something dollars there instead of here. All of the sushi we had gotten was mediocre... The best one was the yellow tail. The rest tasted just fine. If you've been to sushi YA , the sushi they have here is similar. Basically all the specials rolls here are just stuffed with crab meat. I was not impressed with any of the roll. My friend had the salmon and she said it had a bad taste and smell to it. I gave it three stars because the service was quick and so friendly! They welcome you as soon as you walk inside. And our servers were very nice and informative on how everything worked.

I was having an awful day and the BF took me here. :) I wasn't expecting too much but we were greeted right away by all the sushi chefs and other employees. The dining areas seem to be separated by smaller dining rooms. Good for bigger groups and keeping the noise down. Once we sat down our waitress brought us free edamame and some crab nachos. Such a nice start to our meal! I see their main attraction is the all you can sushi. Since we went at dinner time it was $30... since I wasn't very hungry I skipped it. They do have pretty strict rules for the all you can eat so read the fine print before ordering! I ordered the dinner combo with mixed sashimi and tempura. It came with miso soup and salad. Excellent portion and the sashimi was melt in your mouth! BF ordered the popcorn lobster roll and he really liked it as well. Service was excellent and we were tend by multiple waiters and waitresses. I'm sure when we're hungry for sushi we will come here for the AYCE.

This place is the BEST AYCE sushi in the DFW area. I've eaten at majority of the AYCE places in Dallas, and none come close to their quality. While I can honestly say that there are sushi places that have better fish, for the price this is def worth it! The fish to rice ration is also ridiculous, many AYCE place pack on the rice but not here. The fish is about double the size of the rice. For the amount of food I had consumed, I am sure it would have cost double at a traditional sushi restaurant!I personally love red snapper and white tuna, and it was nice to order as many as I wanted without worrying about my bill! :3 The service here is also excellent! Our waters were always full, and the wait staff stopped by to ask how we were enjoying the food. The manager also stopped by, but since I don't speak Korean, there was a bit of a language barrier. I will def be back here! If you want a great place for sushi, this is def the place! This is one of my new favorite sushi spots!

Sake 2 me baby! lmao 5/5 for the staffs and place. Hubby and I came here for AYCE lunch. Big space, clean and lots of customers but there were no wait. Once you get seated they give you sushi taco and edamame. The ladies were fast and accommodating. TV all over(for people who like to watch). Food is 4/5 for me. I love the sushi taco(this one is ala carte). Its spiciness is bearable. Another fave is the mango tango roll. Yum-O!!! The salmon nigiri is huge! You can wrap the whole rice, yey! We ordered the baked lobster roll, not a fan of it. Ebi sushi is good too. Shoutout to Mi Mi. She went above and beyond. Kamsahamnida. We'll come back whenever we are in Dallas.

So this sushi restaurant is AYCE (you can order off the menu also, but the main attraction is the all-you-can-eat). They're a chain from California so I was excited that a location opened in the Dallas area. AYCE is $25 during lunch and includes everything on their AYCE menu, some items that we tried on their regular menu was the salmon teriyaki bento box and the chicken udon. The bento box is very large and at a pretty good price at $10. The chicken on top of the udon was very dry so I'd pass on that. Now onto the main attraction: AYCE, the nigiri is definitely the best thing we had, the sushi chefs do not skimp on the fish and they lay nice large pieces of fish ontop of the perfect amount of rice. All of the rolls were okay, the rainbow roll was probably the best because it was only 4 pieces and they had a delicious white fish on top. How AYCE works is you get three rounds, they give you a paper that has 3 columns and you get to order all you want three times. The service was good, they were extremely attentive (almost too attentive, they came multiple times in a short time spam, but better more attentive than to be ignored). They are still freshly opened so I'm going to give them some more time before I start complaining on yelp (one of the tempura pieces we had wasn't fried long enough and there was still flour on the vegetable). Over all I enjoyed the experience. $25 is a bit high in my opinion especially when you compare it to other AYCE sushi places such as Japan House and Tokyo One who offer more options other ran sushi and sashimi, but it's worth trying out once

YUM !! Truly the only AYCE place in Dallas that is both great in quality and quantity. The fish is really, really fresh. I was so amazed! My family really hates AYCE places because food sits for too long, and we usually feel that they're overpriced ... BUT this was not the case with Sake2Me. The AYCE has so many options for rolls, starters, nigiri, etc. I personally love yellowtail, so I spent most of my time filling my belly with yellowtail. The salmon was great, and I thought the tuna was really good too. I recommend the hand rolls. I really liked how Sake2Me doesn't skimp out on the fish. The rice:fish ratio in the nigiri is amazing ... seriously. You won't feel stuffed by just rice. The service was very attentive and nice. I'll definitely come back for my next sushi craving !!
(4)Mike L.
Sake 2 Me is a great place to go for all you can eat sushi. You order off the menu and get 3 rounds of food. If you don't finish the rice and waste, you may get charged. While they can be rather pricey ($25 for lunch, $30 for dinner) I believe the quality of the fish makes it somewhat worth it. They also have a lot of other sashimi, rolls, and hand rolls to choose from. The portions are also very large, especially compared to the rice. The fish will hang off of it in long tails, almost to the point where you wish you had more rice to balance it out. Don't get me wrong, they don't have the best fish I've ever had, but they're surprisingly good for an all you can eat restaurant. The salmon was very smooth and did not have a strong fishy taste. The mackerel, snapper, and albacore were all good. From the plate to your mouth it may need a little dab of soy sauce however, as they don't really come with it presentation-wise. But really though, who cares as long as the fish quality is good. Service was ok in terms of speed, but they were all very friendly and welcoming. All smiles, great water refills. I will definitely be returning.

For $30 AYCE sushi, this place is awesome. I went with family and friends a month ago and we all enjoyed it. The sushi is pretty good for the price. Their fish-to-rice ratio was also surprising. I would've expected a bit more rice but I'm not going to complain since we wanted to eat more sushi than rice haha. We literally ordered everything on the menu and enjoyed the majority of it. The service was super fast and attentive. Definitely recommend over Tokyo 1/Osaka.
(4)Michelle C.
The all you can eat sushi is worth it here! At $30 it may seem pricy but you eat well worth that amount. First off the sushi to rice ratio was great, at least twice the amount of fish to rice. The yellow tail, tuna and salmon nigiri was good. And I finally got to try tobiko sushi! For the AYCE you have three rounds of ordering so I would start out the first round with ordering the stuff you normally get and then for the second and third ordering new stuff to try. The interior of the restaurant itself was appropriately styled as Japanese and the ambiance was good and it was not too crowded, the sushi chefs even greet you when you come in, shouting from their station. Our waitress even thanked us several times for coming to their restaurant and was super friendly and fast when getting our food to us!

Amazing food backed up by service of the same class! First time here and I was blown away by the choices and the cleanliness of everything, even the bathroom was spotless. I ordered the Bento set and was surprised by the amount of customization you had when it came to building it. They even added complimentary appetizers for no charge. The amount of food that came with the bento made me want to just lie down and rest after such a meal. I will be sure to return to this place and when I do I will be bringing friends!

Price/Food - I was always hesitant about going to AYCE sushi places but being out here in Dallas, decided to give it a try. $30 for AYCE sushi. My first order included: salmon, pepper salmon, yellow tail, and scallops. My first round came fairly quick, and the fish was decent! I mean, if you can't do salmon right, you shouldn't own a sushi restaurant. The fish was pretty fresh and they provided a good fish to rice ratio. Second order, I ordered some salmon, unagi, and ikura. My last round consisted of tamago, albacore, and snapper. The salmon and scallops were my favorite but everything else was acceptable. Not as fresh but definitely tolerable for AYCE. Location/Service - Sake 2 Me opened back in March and I decided to give it a few peoples for the restaurant to organize themselves and to train all the employees. My waitress was attentive and refilled my drinks without me asking and provided impeccable service! Recommendation - I know many people are skeptical about AYCE but this place is decent. You get what you pay for. Don't expect authentic fresh sushi from the ocean when you are paying $30 to fill your stomach. AYCE places are always trying to impress patrons when they open so quality tends to go below par as time goes on. - Salmon and scallops! The albacore was a bit fishy.... - Plenty of parking in this plaza!

I LOVE this place. I found it first in California and on one of my many trips, I sat at the sushi bar and chatted with the chefs. They asked where I was from, when I said Texas, they mentioned they were considering a Texas location. Little did I know, at the time, the gentleman talking to me...was the owner! Lol. Fast forward 2 years and here we are. I LOVE the food here. I always get the AYCE and get my money worth. I'd easily pay over $50 at a Dallas sushi restaurant for this food but get way more food here for $30! My favorite things: The service is impeccable. You are greeted by nearly every employee upon your entrance. You're seated immediately and the complimentary appetizer arrives before you can review the menu. The food arrives super fast and your glass never sits half full for long. The extra plates that crowd the table at most sushi places aren't a problem here, someone whisks it away directly! Generous portions. I always order the AYCE and the nigri has thick slices of fish, while the rolls are heaping. The AYCE menu tells you the roll size (generally 4-6 pieces) to make it easier to order the right amount. Unique rolls. My favorites are the Lobster Roll (picture included) a Californiaroll covered with lobster, crawfish and yummy sauce , the Viva Lake roll with lemon & capers (sounds weird but is divine), and the Mango Tango (mango and cream cheese). Awesome! Also, amazingly, the owner remembered me from California, came over to hug me, then sent free ice cream to the table. THAT'S personal service! Can't wait to go back!

Maybe I had high expectations, but this place wasn't good. I initially wanted to do the All You Can Eat buffet, but decided to get the lunch bento box instead. I will say, the food came out very quickly, but it was "warm" and the chicken teriyaki didn't have any sauce. The beef teriyaki was chewy, and the sashimi and the sushi had a watery taste to the fish. I also had a really bad fishy taste in my mouth after I ate my tuna. We did get a complimentary salmon tempura, but it came out cold. It was good, but I know it would've been great if it was burning hot. The rice is also eh, just fine. Overall, if the food would've been hotter and the sushi would've been fresher, then this place would get a 4 star. The service staff was nice.

Step aside, Tokyo One, Osaka, Japan House, and all other mediocre sushi AYCE--there's a new place in town. :) Sake 2 Me just recently opened, and it's the only AYCE sushi place (that I know of) in the Dallas area that is not traditional buffet style. Instead, you can order unlimited nigiri, rolls, and hand rolls that are freshly made and brought to your table for $30/person for dinner. They have plenty of parking and a lot of space inside. I'm pretty sure you can make reservations for large parties. The staff were super friendly and welcomed us with lots of gusto. I was actually surprised that it wasn't busier on a Saturday night since it seems like such a steal! They have menu items that you can order individually if you do not want AYCE (e.g. bento boxes, udon). For the AYCE option, they give you a sheet of paper to mark your orders on (like typical sushi menu ordering), and you can order as many times as you want. You can choose from starters (like edamame, miso soup, gyoza, etc.), nigiri, hand rolls, and a wide assortment of sushi rolls. Unfortunately, they don't offer sashimi. However, their nigiri is basically sashimi--they give a tiny bit of rice but a big slice of fish (refer to photos), which I think is really great. I ordered a bunch of salmon nigiri for myself and went to town. My favorite rolls were the baked volcano roll and the mango tango roll, and the boyfriend said he really enjoyed the mexican roll. Although the baked rolls are yummy, they're really heavy, so don't order too many near the end of the meal. The hand rolls were also delicious with a high fish to other stuff ratio. I want to mention that the service was on point. We came as a party of 4 plus 2 little munchkins, and the servers were really attentive throughout the whole meal (even turning up the A/C for us at one point). They explained how the ordering works and kept checking back to see if we had any questions. They brought us spicy crab nachos to start and even included one serving that was non-spicy for the kiddo. It was really thoughtful of them! I'd recommend to come with at least a party of 4 so that you can get the chance to try a bunch of different things without getting too full (think TX state fair strategy). I'd also recommend just to order 1 of each item during the first round so that you can pinpoint which are your favorites for your second round. Otherwise, you will fill up way to quickly. Overall, the fish tastes really fresh and the rolls are tasty. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but I'd say this place is definitely worth a try!

I will start by saying if I could give a 10 star I would. Customer service OUTSTANDING! Service AMAZING! I don't mind spending money in a restaurant that deserves it. The food and portions are amazing. I will be coming here often. My aniversary is September 22nd and this is the place I want to be wine and dine. If you don't change I will see you to be a very successful restaurant. Thank you to all!
(5)Ann L.
AYCE SUSHI! Even though it's all you can eat, the fish is super fresh! Some places will be iffy, but this place is legit. Upon entering, everyone will greet you. It was our first time, and our server was super nice in explaining on how everything works. Most rolls come in 4 pieces if you do all you can eat, and nigiri comes with 2 pieces. Note that if you have anything leftover, or rice, you will be charged! Which is smart because rice can fill you up super quick. The upside is that their nigiri is literally this large slab of fish with a little bit of rice beneath. However, the place for busy fairly quick for the lunch rush, so our server was MIA for a while, and it was hard to flag her down. But I don't blame them, everyone came in at the same time, and they were doing their best to accommodate everyone.

Great service and Great people. This was our first time here and Roy, sunny, and jay helped us out so much! They were explaining the how to order, what the good foods are,

I've tried all-you-can-eat sushi places and by far, this one is the best. Like previous reviews, this isn't a place where you get up and grab already prepared sushi. You sit, mark down the sushi you want, and it's brought to you. And it's brought to you pretty darn fast. The interior of the restaurant is nice and new and left me feeling cozy and comfortable. My family and I came for lunch and we were greeted by the servers and immediately sat down. They're friendly and the service is good. To begin, I love how they bring you yummy edamame as an appetizer along with another dish (something with imitation crab) and miso soup. Originally I would have given this place five stars but their specialty rolls weren't my cup of tea. In my opinion they had too much rice and I couldn't taste the fish. However, their nigiri is amazing. From salmon to tuna to everything you can obtain at another sushi restaurant, it's absolutely delicious. If you come here, don't spend your money and get full off of their rolls. Eat their nigiri. I could literally call it sashimi because they put little to no rice and who doesn't love that?! Also, they don't skimp out on the amount of sushi they put. The amount is well off satisfactory and near perfect. Trust me, this place is well worth your money.
(4)Jane K.
This place is the best AYCE sushi place I have been to. I went to the one in California, but I have to say... this was a better dining experience. The staff here are so friendly and made sure that we were doing well. Our water cups were never empty and our empty plates were immediately cleared off the table. The embarrassing part about this visit was that... it was just my friend and I... and we ordered about everything. There's a charge if you leave rice or food so we had to eat everything. We left the restaurant looking like oompa loompas because we overestimated our ability to eat. Overall, a great experience. Definitely will be back and happy to have finally have an AYCE sushi restaurant with an amazing fish to rice ratio!

I was happier than a dog waggin' its tail when I heard that a new Sushi place opened in my neck of the hood. Two ladies greeted loudly with huge laugh and smile upon entering this place. I take it as a joyful experience as opposed to yelling.Upon seated our intention was to order some Sushi and Sashimi from the menu, but wait staff dragged us to do their AYCE. They confessed that the AYCE is so popular and you will like it,it is so good, you be paying more if you order from the menu.....etc....etc list goes on.It sounds like a good idea, but it isn't. It is weird way that forces us to do a different unwanted choice. They brought the AYCE paper to mark what we want, and force us to mark some of their rolls and brought us some in house cheesy crab nachos. They brought the cheesy crab nachos first then Mango Tango Roll with lots of cheese crumbs then heavy lobster roll and lastly the Nigiri. Most of the rolls are filled with cream cheese as well. During this period waiter warned that you guys have to finished it all otherwise we charge extra $ and must have to eat the rice on the Nigiri. These are simply road blocks intended to fill you up quickly and save the restaurant money.I felt like eating few doughnuts before my intended meal ...ugh.Finally the Nigiri was so good and anyone who likes Nigiri should order it.I mean Nigiri only from the AYCE.Good thing happened was their regular Soju with a twisted lime was a good choice. The ladies who greeted us on the front door made several visits to our table to do friendly and loud conversations to lift my positive spirits.I did make a second visit to their bar recently just for the Soju!

Everything was pretty good considering it's all you can eat. Although it's "all you can eat", this is not a buffet, which is a nice deviation from what you get at "all you can eat sushi buffets". The concept is very similar to Mongolian Hot Pot restaurants, if you've been to them before. So after you're seated, you get this sheet of paper that lists all of the sushi that they serve as well as grilled and fried items that you usually would get at a sushi restaurant. So beside each item, you write down how many orders you would like. The sheet has the selections on one side and on the back side of the sheet has a description of the rolls that are listed. The selection is pretty vast and it takes care of most sushi cravings that you may have. The food comes out pretty fast considering that it is made to order. As they bring out your food, they bring your order sheet back out to you in case you are still hungry after you finish your first round and want to order a second or third round of food. I'm usually stuff after my second round. It's usually the second round that I am forcing things down. The food and service is great. The interior could use some updating since it hasn't changed much from the previous Vietnamese restaurant that was there before. I hope that this concept will keep them running profitably and keep them around for years to come. I'm looking forward to my next trip back.

This place was recommended by my sales representatives cousin. He was on the flight here on the way home and we gave him a lift and bought him some yummy lunch. This joint is very nice. The staff were quick to serve and VERY nice. We got free sushi nachos to hold us over until we got our meals. We all ordered Bento boxes for lunch, and there was a lot of food for the price. The quality was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. A definite must go to sushi restaurant.

For cheap eats, it's not bad. The only thing for me was the service. We asked for space in the back, but they said that they didn't have any. When I checked for myself, there was plenty of space. After that it just went downhill. There was huge fish bone in my sushi. When I went to the bathroom, the manager (saw me, when I checked to see if we have another spot in the back) yelled in my ear (shouting out an order) and I knew it was going down. They were all glaring at me. (P.S. they just opened!!! DOUBLE U TEE EPH) I don't know how things go down in LA but damn have some polite manners! I've been to LA a couple of times too but they actually have good service there. Anyways to end off the night, the check was paid for and was waiting on the change but nothing for 10-15 mins. She made some bullshit answer saying that she thought she gave it to us even thought she could see us waiting. GAHDAMN! If you're young, you should go because they will treat you like royalty but the second families or older adults come in, let the shit begin.. That's my vent and I'm just gonna get over it. There are plenty of other sushi bars! (:

Place is much better than the previous business (Pho Doan). Friendly staff. Our multiple servers provided great service. High marks for service. The food was good. We tried the all you can eat sushi ($30 dinner price), chicken teriyaki, and katsu. The sushi was great quality for all you can eat. Good flavored rolls and not over dressed with sauce. If your family members can't/don't eat sushi. Try the bento boxes. Chicken teriyaki had good flavor and cook to perfection. Katsu was pretty good too. It was crispy and not over cooked. Definitely will be back.

Came here on a whim since we were in the neighborhood. We were startled by the staff's greeting since it was quite a big welcome. It was around opening week, so they could be trying to make an impression. We were served the beans as appetizers I wasn't sure what it was, so I stuck the entire thing into my mouth and chewed. FAIL. No one told me I was supposed to peel first. Our server kept bringing over free dishes to us, so that was a plus. I got the salmon sashimi. I was disappointed that it wasn't great. It didn't melt in your mouth, it wasn't fresh. Might come back to give it another try.

Wanted to give a decent review since we just moved from LA and having trouble finding good sushi. Apparently, should have known better by the store name.... Not Japanese sushi Yelpers! As you walk in they greet you by saying, "Irashaimase" and that is he extent of the Japanese words they know. Hostess comes and says, "Ane ha se yo" (greeting in Korean)...Need I say more? Since we are desperate, we decided to try it out and 15 minutes after we get seated still no water, no service. Group who came in after received water and service?! When I called it out, 5 minutes later, the waitress said, I didn't even notice you were there???? Ok, if you're gonna be in the business of serving Japanese food, please, please, please I beg you have some manners! Didn't try the food, decided to leave... Not returning. We are in a Korean shopping center, we will eat good Korean food elsewhere!
(1)Kim H.
Good friendly service, good quality and reasonable price made to order AYCE. They're not stingy in the hand rolls, rolls, nigiri. Generous cuts and stuffed rolls.
(4)Neha M.
yum! super fresh sushi, I was really craving some rolls, I loved their lobster rolls! I asked for less sauce and they happily accommodate! awesome service here too. very quick and fresh food!

Very good place. Go try. We got hot sake, which was nice. The sushi nachos were unique and pretty tasty. I appreciate the variety of hand rolls. Everything was fresh and clean.

InThe place, no the best restaurant hands down. I went here a month back with my friend and was euthsiastically greeted by the whole staff. The staff was friendly, courteous, helpful. We ordered the catipillar, California roll, and Mexican roll. Let me tell you it was EXCELLENT, I found my sushi spot! The manager even came out to make sure all the customers were happy and talked to myself and others. This is the only restaurant where I will tip more then I usually would. We then went here on 04/03, again it was amazing. The sushi and sake delicious, the staff absolutely wonderful. I cannot stress this enough, I work with customers and know customer service and the level of service provided at this restaurant THE BEST. The whole staff, management, owners are wonderful people and I can't wait to go back.
(5)Liza H.
AMAZING, fresh sushi that's All-you-can-eat!!! What beats that? What sets this place apart from other sushi buffets in Dallas is that the food is made to order. We've been to similar places like this in Cali, and I have to say the quality at Saki 2 me is on par. They have excellent selections. The service was fantastic and our plates arrived FAST. One man was super friendly and attentive and we found out as we were walking out that he's actually the owner. What I especially appreciated was that they don't put a large amount of rice under each piece of fish. The order sheet also tells you how many pieces you get with each serving and you can specify as many servings as you like. They don't skimp on quantity when you go for round 2....or 3. I've been craving sushi for awhile and this place really hit the spot. We finished EVERYTHING (barely), and THAT to us was a major achievement! I'm so excited about this restaurant. We will definitely be back!!!
(5)Youmi L.
went for dinner buffet, service was very friendly but the food was just ok. Most of the rolls are just california rolls with stuff on top. Have to get the nigiri/sashimi if you want your money's worth
(3)Angel L.
This place is SUPER good!! Great service!! Great price!!! Their all-you-can-eat is so economical! Their fish is one of the freshest I've had in Dallas! Their staff is so kind - not everyone is fluent in English, but they are so quick to grab another server who speaks English if you have any questions. It's a little far, but I would definitely go back again!

We went here on a Tuesday evening for a dinner around 5PM to try out this new restaurant that had replaced the former Pho Doan. We were greeted by the owners and multiple wait staff in korean and were immediately seated. Our server whose name was Gregory was very sweet and gave us the 101 on the restaurant and what they had offered. You were able to order individual plates or choose an All You Can Eat option. AYCE was $29.95/person which to me was a little pricey but after calculating what I had planned to eat, I felt it was worth it. We ended up only going through with 1 round because it was so much food and we were STUFFED. We were given complimentary appetizers- spicy crab nachos and edamame. Spicy crab nachos were a spicy crab mix placed on a fried wonton chip. It was alright, nothing too fancy. Not a fan of edamame, but it was very nice of them to do. We ended up ordering miso soup, eel roll, golden dragon, spider roll, baked lobster roll, shrimp tempura, & cajun crawfish/lobster roll. - Miso soup- Alright. A little on the salty side, wish it had more tofu. - Eel roll- bf ate it and said it was really good - Golden dragon- deep fried california roll... a little too heavy for us. Too much batter. - Spider roll- definitely did not like it. It was too fishy for me... had carrots in it for me. That was my first time seeing carrots in sushi. - Baked lobster roll- was not what I expected. Was expecting a mayonnaise base sauce mixture on top. It was just a California roll topped with pieces of lobster. - Shrimp tempura- is topped with a lot of avocado and decent - Cajun crawfish/lobster roll- was our favorite. Topped with fried pieces of lobster and bits of crawfish on a bed of fried noodles and drizzled with spicy mayo/eel sauce. Overall we would definitely come back. The food was fresh and the customer service was great. We probably won't do AYCE next time because we weren't able to eat enough to make it worth the money. Definitely worth a try!

Silly name, serious sushi...?? Omg I don't know if it's because this place is new, but they give you SO MUCH FOOD. I came here one day for lunch not for the AYCE, but for the $9.95 lunch special, and I still came away stuffed. The lunch special is a really good deal! For $10 you get to pick three lunch items among sashimi, rolls, tempura, and more--and it comes with miso soup. But on top of that, when I came with my friend, the waiters gave us free edamame, a tuna appetizer (that I don't know the name of), and a baked salmon roll. However, I was a little disappointed with the taste. In my bento, I got sashimi, teriyaki salmon, and California roll. The sashimi just did not taste very fresh, especially not the salmon. It was weirdly stringy and tough and a little hard to finish, to be honest, although maybe that's because I was already so full. The teriyaki lacked flavor, and none of the other items stood out either. I wish I could give this place 3.5/5 stars, because they ARE super generous. However, I get the feeling that once this place has been around for a while and stops throwing free food at us, I don't think I'd feel super compelled to eat here. I guess for now, all I can say is come hungry!

I came to celebrate a birthday and we all had the AYCE Sushi. Granted it was not cheap, but we definitely ate more than the price's worth in fish. My favorite thing about this place is that the sushi nigiri isn't loaded with rice like some other places are, and the fish is seriously fresh. while i noticed after my third (or fourth? heh) round of salmon sushi, some rounds were fattier than others; can't complain, the fatty ones were so good! we were greeted warmly and were given free edamame and sushi nachos (or something) upon seating, and all the staff were so friendly and sweet and attentive. for the birthday, we got a complimentary fried green tea ice cream and they came out and sang and changed the song of the restaurant to 'happy birthday' and even provided a paper cone party hat!!! so adorable. this restaurant definitely goes above and beyond my expectations and i can't wait to be back.

Love the all you can eat sushi there! It's also nice they have kids' menu so the kids could get their own food. We were here to celebrate someone's birthday so the restaurant gave us a nice green tea ice cream dessert as birthday cake! Their service was really good and the place was very clean too!

I like the concept, and that's what I'm in love with, however, the sushi quality? Its good and when you eat more and more but than the quality steadily declines and yes I notice this even when I'm full so don't judge me!!! Sake 2 Me is a fairly new concept where you may order buffet style or even order separately!! I would recommend that you try the buffet style first so that you may get a good feel for what they have on their menu and than pick your main dishes after the first visit. Sake 2 me Sushi buffet consists of unlimited selective appetizer, rolls, sushi, and sashimi and you just keep on ordering to your delight, however, there are no buffet line up tables where you can pick up your own food. Everything is served to you including drinks and alcohol. I shall have an updated review on my second visit, however, this is my brief overview and there will be some update soon!! Regards, Bry

$30 AYCE for dinner. Good sushi but they do not let your party split the bill between AYCE and single order plates like the chains in California do. I came in at 10pm (kitchen closes at 10, restaurant closes at 1030) to meet with some friends there. I didn't order and I only ate the few pieces leftover sushi from my friends order, but the $30 bill was still shoved in front of me without asking. Disappointed that I had to pay $30 to eat a few pieces is sushi and hang out with my friends for the 30 minutes before it closed. I understand that they have to be careful of people that might take advantage of the system, but California locations allow split tabs, why not this place?

This place was awesome! Food and service was great! Definitely quality ingredients went into the food. Did the AYCE and it was good trying the different rolls and such. Now I know I don't have to go far to get quality sushi. Will definitely come back.

If I died from eating too much here I wouldn't even be mad. In fact, that'd probably be my favorite way to go.

This is the only place I have written a review for. Matter of fact I reactivated my Yelp account just so I can give it review. This place is the BEST all you can eat sushi ever... For the 24.95 you get great quality sushi and so many options to choose from. If you are a sushi lover you would live this place.

I can only describe this place in two words: simply amazing! All the sushi is fresh and is made to order, and comes out super quick. Me and my buddy messed up by ordering too much on the first round, but we somehow managed to eat it all. Not sure how anyone can give this place less than five stars. $25 for all you can eat above average sushi, does it get better than that?!

This is by far the best AYCE sushi restaurant I have been too. I am normally not a fan of AYCE because sometimes the quality of the fish is not as fresh as I like it, but based on the recommendation of a friend, I decided I'd give it a try for lunch. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by every employee. Was immediately seated and presented with the menu and instructions on how the AYCE works. Basically you can order in 3 rounds and you have to eat everything you order including the sushi rice or face an extra charge. I started off with some nigiri sushi, tuna, salmon and yellowtail. The piece of fish was very large and only a small amount of rice which made it almost like sashimi. The fish was extremely fresh and tasted as good as any high end sushi bar. The second round was more nigiri and a couple of rolls. All of the rolls are on the AYCE just smaller portions, but the rolls were big as well and very filling. I didn't have any room for round 3. The staff was very attentive and they gave me the menu while I was eating so there would be no downtime between rounds. They also give you an appetizer and edamame complimentary when you sit down. There are pleny of choices on the AYCE menu and they do have an al a carte menu as well.

Extremely awesome place! High quality sushi that you don't really find in Texas! I was very impressed during my visit here.

My mother in law suggested this place for her birthday! It was a great choice! It's all you can eat but made to order! The selection was great, anything that you would normally see at a sushi restaurant you would see it on their menu. Everything came out fast and the fresh! Service as amazing, our waiter was tentative. I defiantly will be back and highly recommend it!

Some of the best AYCE sushi I've had. Lots of choices on menu. Nigiri has big pieces of fish and hardly any rice. Rolls were large. Worth the drive. Fast and friendly service.

First time here, got a Togo order & wow I'm super impressed!! I typically am not 100% satisfied with Togo sushi orders but this place has it going on. They give you plenty of wasabi and ginger and even give your meal a beautiful presentation. My Togo sushi rolls (cucumber & veggie rolls) were beautiful and had flowers and cut veggies to give me the feeling that I'm eating out. They also label which roll is which. I also got a seaweed salad which was suburb! And to top it all off, they gave me a side of veggie tempura on the house! I have found my new sushi go to place around here! great food, friendly staff & full belly!!

This place has one of the freshest sushi in town! The buffet is definitely worth it for the price you pay. The size of the sushi is very large and taste is great as well! Definitely a place to go if you want some great sushi!

Didn't even get to order food. Place was not even busy but service was horrible. No attention at all to customers. Waited 10 minutes for server. Had to hunt one down to get a glass of water. Decided to leave because it's not worth the hassle. All you can eat folks may find this level of service but you get what you pay for. We left and went to a real sushi joint. You should do the same
