Not a good typical Vietnamese restaurant so many better choices around town like PTT or Pho Palace and also expensive

I wish I could give this restaurant a better review but I was not impressed. They have a wide variety on their menu but the items that we tried were not very flavorful. We tried the coconut shrimp and some of the shrimp were not fully cooked. For our meals we ordered the Lemongrass Beef and Shaken Beef. The Lemongrass Beef did not come out, instead we received Lemongrass Chicken and then when we told the waiter this was not what we ordered he disagreed with us. We decided to keep the Lemongrass Chicken and it was very greasy and lacked flavor. The Shaken Beef was a little better since the beef was very tender but it still lacked in flavor. Overall the best thing we had was the creme brulee. I was hoping to like this place but in an area that is flooded with Vietnamese restaurants there a much better. I would suggest Pho Palace, Pho Pastur or even Sprouts over Bamboo.

This has become our regular Friday night hangout. It's a wonderful place with great food. The spicy calamari is spicy & crisp, and always great! And the pho is out of this world! Fridays are now "Phoday" in our house! But their other dishes are just as great! We love happy hour, too! Check out their menu & drinks! Our girls always want the boba teas when we can wrestle them away for a meal with the family, and even my vegan daughter can find plenty to eat on their menu! I definitely recommend them to anyone. Even members of our extended family that supposedly don't like any kind of Asian cuisine fall in love with their food! Definitely should be in the rotation if you don't already love them!

This place is wonderful. Great ambiance and delicious food. The pho here has such a rich, succulent, broth that makes your mouth water from one whiff of the sweet aroma.

Yes, the food is expensive. I got one pork spring roll for $3 vs. 2 for $2.50 by my house in Dallas, BUT It was served in a nice presentation in a lovely room that didn't have calenders from Asian food suppliers as decor. The grilled pork totally blew away every other spring roll I've ever had. It could have had more meat in it but those grilled morsels were some of the tastiest things to ever pass my lips. I'll take the trade off. I had 2 spring rolls and a vodka tonic for $10.50. Any qualms about high food prices instantly dissolve if you are there during happy hour. I ordered a house vodka tonic and was given a highball glass literally 3/4 full of Titos and a splash of tonic. It was at least 3 oz. and cost $3.50. When I gasped the guys next to me said the drinks are always that generous. Now, back for some creme brulee (which even in 4 star hotels is chilled on the bottom).

Pho and spring rolls here are pretty good. A little overpriced. Ambiance of the place is great. Not bad overall.

The chicken wings are delish and the place was pleasant, some of other dishes were suspect but the Monday specials on beer and poker rocks!

BOBA TEAS........! at a great price plus they have happy hour specials. Good food nice portions and food specials too. the atmosphere is simple and trendy!

Great atmosphere. The spring rolls were good. I really liked the traditional ones. Good pho and I loved the grilled pork.

  • Raj C.

Absolutely awesome. The pork spring rolls are made with pork loin which makes them very unique and tasty. The Pho is top notch and the traditional Pork soup second to none! This place has just displaced Pho palace as my #1 pick for Pho.

The growing number of Vietnamese patrons at this new restaurant speaks for itself. Tucked away in a corner strip mall on Matlock (across from HCA), it's a bit removed from the normal areas where Vietnamese retailers congregate in Arlington. But this isn't the only way it has set itself apart. The decor is very modern and trendy. Not typical of Asian restaurants in Agtown. Not that places like Pho Pasteur or Pho Palace are dirty, but decor is definitely not one of their priorities. The owners of Bamboo have obviously taken pride in their space, filing it with espresso colored furniture, large flat screen TVs (and an HD projector) and a full service bar (another thing most Viet places don't have). Their waitstaff is very friendly, speaks Vietnamese, and are knowledgeable about the menu. I consider the barometer for any Viet restaurant to be the quality of their pho, and Bamboo definitely passes the test. Full of flavor, with fresh noodles and great cuts of meat! The goi cuon was fresh and delicious, and I wish I had room to try more things on the menu! While we were eating, we noticed several Vietnamese parties come in, and recognized some of them as regulars from other local Viet restaurants like Pho Palace. Word is getting out about Bamboo, and it's all good!

I love this place, this is the only pho restaurant I visit, and for several reasons. I have been dining here for the past 4 years, and it is still delicious! My favorite dishes are: Tofu spring rolls, I usually get mine with peanut sauce, because they seriously have AMAZING peanut sauce. I also love the Spicy Tofu, which used to be offered as a dinner plate, but now is primarily served as an appetizer, so I get it with a side of steamed rice and it is the best. My other favorite is the Tofu Pho, I like that it is vegetarian, as in the pho is not made with a meat based broth, but used vegetable broth instead. The service can be so/so sometimes, but they usually do their best and make up for any mistakes! The owners are great, and I will continue going here, until they don't exist anymore!

This place is very close to home, so always a great choice when I can't decide where to eat. Not only is it close to home but the food is really good. Service is a huge deal for me and this place is always on point. The food is great and the prices are fair for the amount of food you get. Great appetizers as well with one of my favorites being the crispy chicken avocado roll, just enough to share if you want or just enjoy it by yourself. 4 of my all time favorites here are white chicken pho, chicken drunken noddles, shaken chicken and the yellow chicken curry. All of these dishes are delicious and plenty of food!! They also have different teas and a full bar if you would like an adult beverage. The service here is always great and they always make sure that what you order is what you wanted or they will offer to make it again or get you something else. The place is kept clean and restrooms are no exception. They have plenty of room inside and plenty of parking space which is a problem in some places. If you ever around the area stop by and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Speciality springs rolls, pho, vermicelli, and white/fried rice plates. The sign states authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Yes authentic to where if you're not used to Viet cuisine it's easy to order. The Viet part of town is literally east down Arkansas. Still this location in my opinion accommodates the people in the area well. The noodles can being under cooked sometimes, the rice plates are a bit small for the price, and "stating authentic cuisine" banh mi and banh xiao should be served. Upside they have boba tea... which what place in Arlington doesn't now a days. Food is average, prices are a bit more than others, portions can be small, so this restaurant is ok. I recommend phó 95 or bistro b for real authentic Viet food.

This place is one of the places that has the best Pho (Fuh). My friend told me to come here for Pho and I was hesitated because I thought it was a fusion type of food but luckily I decided to come here. I am hooked on their Pho in which I ordered filet mignon kind. Will come back again and again. I am Vietnamese and this is real Vietnamese taste.

Had pho here on a hot day but still well worth it. Service was fast and pho was delicious!!! I ordered pho ga with white meat. It was incredibly flavorful! The meat was tender and perfect amount of cilantro. I probably should have ordered a small instead of medium because I couldn't even finish 1/2 of my bowl.

I personally love this place and can't figure out the bad reviews. Food is always fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. I get their beef pho (not THE BEST pho I've ever had but durn good), tilapia spring rolls, and spicy edamame along with a Thai tea to share with the wife. I can't get enough of this place, I request it just about every time we are short on ideas for dinner. I probably frequent this place 1x month and that's not enough for me..

This is my go to Pho place, especially when its raining ot cold out. Basically I could walk here from my house- which I have done! It is tucked away in a little strip mall on the north west corner of Matlock and Mayfield. Its not a huge place and I have never seen it more than half full- even at lunch. They are reasonable in pricing and generous in portions- I can never even finish a small serving of Pho alone. I do love thier spring rolls- and I don't know what they do to the peanut sauce, but its the best I have ever had. The decor is more upscale- marble, dark wood, and it creates a very relaxing atmosphere- when there are not loud annoying drunks at the bar. I came in on a Friday night and the bar was full of drunken frat boys talking over each other. It also seems like there is new wait staff everytime I come in- so just make sure you point to the menu item you want just in case- they use a number system in the kitchen. ( example- P3 is a white meat chicken pho). Its definately not the best pho around- because t It hits the spot when you are in the area.

Damn had to come back for my fix! Chef LEE is amazing you have to try the fried rice with fish sauce and fresh garlic instead of soy sauce!!!! The egg rolls will make you slap somebody!!!! Then top it off with a Zumbie drink and your sure to leave tipsy!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Spicy tofu. Wow, never heard of it before last night, but I love it now. Searched for Asian restaurant open after 10 pm. Yelpers, you did it again. I can finally remove my bookmark for this place. The restaurant was immaculate. Food was wonderful. Spicy tofu is especially good with rice soaking up the spicy juices (see pic). Smoothies were creamy and delicious. Ice cold and sweet. See pics of tofu, smoothie, and restaurant. PS I love the chandelier (see pic).

  • Vi N.

I would put zero but yelp would not allow for such a bad rating. Food taste either really salty and really plain, it is very he'd to find a balance of flavor in the food. You cannot classify this is asian food because it has not distinctive asian taste. When the food come out it is very appealing to the eye and eating it is not a pleasure.

Not sure where my previous review went, but anyway, I was craving some late-night pho and chanced upon this place based off of how many stars it had, without reading the detailed reviews, and I'm so glad I did! The service was awesome! The girl working there was super prompt and very friendly and checked up on me multiple times! The pho was good, so I have no complaints. I'll definitely be back!

Love it! And their variety of delicious spring rolls is amazing. The staff is super friendly, with fast service. I recommend this place all the time. Their pho broth is unique and soo good, it heals what ails Ya lol. This place never disappoints. Their menu is legit.

Always great service and great food. Calm atmosphere with a large screen and old school music. My wife loves their pho but I'm not a soup guy, so I get Shaken Beef or Chap Che noodles. Deeelicious!

The rare beef pho was phenomenal and the best I've had. Not sure how their aggregate ranking could be anything short of 4 stars. Easily better than Pho Pasteur and Sprouts spring roll in N. Arlington. I'll be back to try their Shaken beef pho sho.

This is really one of the worst places I have been to. I've been here before and didn't care for it, but this time they had a sign out front advertising it as a new place. My boyfriend and I went in, realized it was still the place we didn't like, but decided to give it another chance, maybe it was an off night the last time. We ordered the duck mango spring rolls, which were flavorless and practically just lettuce, and in my roll I had more cartilage than actual duck. Then I ordered the stir fried lemongrass vermicelli bowl and it tasted like a mix right from a box, or at least purely msg and food coloring. My boyfriend got the green curry chicken, the chicken tasted like it had been boiled and then put in the curry, and the curry itself was not very flavorful except for the heat. Last time we had been to this restaurant, the place was nearly empty and the waitress took forever to get to our table. This time, the place was still empty, but the waitress was much faster. However, I thought it was telling that she didn't once ask us how any of our food was. We were wondering how this place got such high reviews on Google, and after looking at the reviews we saw that most of them were five star canned responses from people who had never reviewed any other restaurant. Hmmmmmm. I see people like the pho here. Perhaps that is their redeeming quality. I don't want to ever go here again, though, to try it, because the past two experiences were so awful. I will give this place two stars instead of the one I was going to, though, because the staff was friendly, their (expensive) drink The Zombie is really good, and maybe their pho really is just as good as everyone says. But stay away from the spring rolls.

  • Thao N.

Not the best pho in town but it's clean and has a good amount of decent "fusion food". The only complaint is the manager lady... Or owner? Not sure but she was super rude. Not a great way to represent your business. Loved my waitress though! Very friendly.

  • Hailey N.

Nicest Vietnamese restaurant I have seen, and I am Vietnamese!! The waitress who served us was such a sweetheart. I think her name was Nantiya? She barely just started and she was sweet!! Kinda of just skimming through the menu. It doesn't seem like authentic Vietnamese foods like some are Americanized. We ordered the vegetable eggrolls for appetizer, and those were also good. 3 for 3.95 (which is pretty pricey to me) My boyfriend ordered beef pho for the first time ever and he loved it! Cannot deny, I eat pho practically every week, and this place has some darn good broth!! I order the Hu tieu and the soup was not great. I only took one sip out of it. But the dry Hu tieu with their special sauce was awesome! Everything else was great! I loved the setting of the place, their nice bar, and great staff! I will be back!

I have been to this place a few times, I don't think I will be going back. I can honestly say I have never experienced good service when I have come here, but this last time the service was awful...I usually come here because it is one of the closest places that I can get tofu spring rolls and the restaurant set up is ok. The Spring rolls usually taste fine, the entrees are okay. I think a large part of the problem is a language barrier with the staff. I was here for a really long time yesterday, they do have free wifi so I was working on things while I was waiting. I was seated and decided I wanted a beer with my food, well the waiter proceeded to tell me they did not have beer, but did not offer any alternatives, so I ordered water and tofu spring rolls and tofu with noodles. I asked if they could substitute tofu for meat in any of the other entrees, he said no, so don't go here if you only eat tofu or veggies. I am not kidding when I say a good 20 minutes passed and I had not gotten the water, now mind you, I would have paid for a drink if they would have had a beer. I had to get up and go to the bar and request it. The table next to me was not bussed the whole time I was there, the dirty dishes were left on the table. The food finally came out and it was..meh... I could tell there were issues with other tables at the restaurant. I will not be coming back.

I went here today and thought this place was cute. I would say they do have good food and the prices were okay, maybe a little expensive for vietnamese/asian food and the area. I still would come back because I enjoyed what I ate. We tried the crab ragoon, which was a bit small and came with I think 6. Honestly, they should make it bigger a tad bit. We also ordered the spicy tamarind and spicy dragon wings. The tamarind is really really good and the chicken was extra crispy, I insist that you order this! The spicy dragon was flavorless. I thought it would have a bit more flavor or at least sauce on it. I ordered the duck mango spring roll which was descent. As for entrees we ordered the drunken noodles and spicy beef pho. The pho broth was good. The drunken noodles could've been better. I think they put too much sauce so the noodles looked over cooked. To go we ordered fried rice and grilled pork. It taste like other places, it didn't stand out to me. I had some other things in mind to try, but I got full. I would go back mainly because of wings. I love chicken! I think they need more condiments on the tables and service was mediocre. They need to know a little more about the menu.

Food was okay, service was terrible. It made it not even worth the trouble. We were sat at 8:30 and were not asked to order until nearly 9:00. For our drink order, we ordered one strawberry smoothie with boba & one passion iced tea with boba. 10 minutes later, we were given two waters & we finally ordered our food. 15 minutes go by and we're asked if we still want our bobas, which was weird, but we said yes. They then brought us two smoothie bobas. They also brought an appetizer of chicken wings that smelt horrible. We asked them to take them back because we did not want them and the server argued about them, saying he could not take them off the bill because the manager was not present. We said fine, but take them away because of the smell, & he continued to argue. By this time, before we even received our entrees, all I want is the check so I can go somewhere else to eat. We were charged full price of everything of course, including the drink & entrees we did not receive, and I will happily never go back.

Why the five stars? Only because you can get a full dining experience here. Big menu, a bar, gourmet deserts. Definitely winning strip mall cuisine. I didn't know what Vietnamese curry was, and the waitress was unable to articulate a description past "It's not the same as Thai curry." Uh...huh. So, Christine logic directed me to order it. It was good! Looked/tasted/resembled a spicy beef stew...but with the meat you ordered (chicken, in my case). Like, think traditional American beef stew. Even down to the big meaty cuts of veggies and tomato-infused oil globules on top. My friend's serving of pho was, predictably, generous. She planned to make two more servings out of her meal. Also. I really dig the Vietnamese iced coffee here. They give you a little drip roast over sweetened condensed milk. When it's done, pour over ice. Afterwards, we shared a crème brûlée, torched right at our table. It was a really fun dining experience for our girls day. More than ready to power shop afterwards, filled on good food and wired on strong cofffee.

Ugh. I've had better grilled chicken salads at Chik fil A. My spicy chicken salad was so mediocre. It was basically a bed of romaine lettuce with a dry chicken breast drenched in a slightly spicy sweet duck sauce. The dressing that came with the salad was a sweet soy sauce mix. Overall, the salad was just too sweet for eating. I've tried this place so many times and each time I'm super bummed. You can get better Vietnamese food elsewhere.

I ordered grill chicken with rice to go and they gave me old lettuce with it...it was edible...the chicken was very dry :-(

Thai tea was fantastic. I ordered a traditional spring roll (pork & shrimp) appetizer and it was very generously sized! I also took a leap and decided to order the chicken fried rice - good choice too! I can't comment on the place itself, since we got take out, but the food was great, a great price and very delicious. I would definitely eat there again! And again!

We stop by this past Sunday, to get it a try. Spring rolls were good but we ordered 3 entrees and only one of the three were ok. If your not in the mood for a hamburger. I guess you'll be fine. I wouldn't drive here just to eat. Sorry

Nice atmosphere, friendly waitstaff but overall this place is pretty overrated. Middle of the road pad thai, the tofu springrolls were alright.

Very good food but a little pricey. But how else are you going to get good food. Try the Brooklyn Special if you like fried chicken and for dessert I highly recommend the crème brûlée if you wan't a crazy good dessert.

  • Gideon F.

Bottom line: High marks for the food, but the service could use some work Based on previous reviews, I decided to check this place out. Bamboo Pho & Spring Roll's interior is indeed updated & modern. The food is mainly Vietnamese in style, but with other influences. Tried the crunchy chicken avocado & duck mango spring rolls, which were pricier than other places. However, I doubt other places have these combos. Both were excellent. Same goes for the pho I ordered - the broth was quote delicious. Wanted to try the creme brulee others have mentioned, but they had just come out of the oven. Maybe next time. The service is what prevents this place from getting 5 stars. Actually, I was debating giving it a 3, but the food pushed me over. Really wish I could give a 3.5. While pleasant, the staff lacked the polish of other places. The waitress did not know the specials by heart and directed me to the board. I also had to ask for the condiments that normally come with pho, including fish sauce.

The Pho is acceptional. The stir fry noodles are okay. Service is never appealing but the prices are pocket friendly. I do enjoy their appetizers especially the avocado chicken springrolls. And I don't want to point fingers but the Asian lady server who has a strong accent is the one person I dont look forward too. The language barrier causes too many complications, like me recieving the wrong order or when I ask for simple things but have to explain myself multiple times. Not my go to place for Pho and will not be planning a visit there anytime soon.

This place is great for a lunch meeting, I have not come here at night. It is very quiet, clean and great service. The pricing is good, a great lunch menu, I enjoy the orange chicken, the chicken fried rice is good too!

Located across the street from Arlington Medical Center (which I think is renamed to Methodist Medical Center of Arlington, if I'm not mistaken), this Vietnamese restaurant is tucked away in a forgotten shopping center but is a diamond in the rough. Upon entering, I was shocked to see a beautiful designed restaurant, with walls colored with cappuccino and dark sage green paints, marble top tables and upholstered seats. They have a huge projection screen on one wall, a fairly large bar on another (with a great selection of spirits) and play great music (I couldn't stop moving, while I was eating). I had their crab rangoon and grilled shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer and it was incredible. Everything was freshly made and tasty. Especially the crab rangoons, which a lot of places use prepackaged filling. But these were fresh fried, with lots of crab & cream cheese-y goodness in each bite. For my entree I had the Pho Ga Thit Den, the dark chicken Pho. First of all the bowl was MASSIVE and by the time I was done, it looked like I hadn't eaten anything. But everything was once again fresh and tasty. Their happy hour is from 3 to 6 PM, and has 25% off of drinks and appetizers. It's a great spot, with great food and would be a great place to take anyone who thinks they've seen everything Arlington has to offer or thinks that Arlington has nothing to offer. I'll be back!

This place was a huge let down. I ordered take out. First of all do NOT trust their online menu. I ordered P11 which specifically says Ph Gà Tht Trng- White Meat. I get the order home and there is NO MEAT in it. No chicken at all. The egg rolls were soggy and not nice and crispy like you would expect. I also ordered a smoothie with no boba and when my husband brought it home guess what? it had boba. Getting this all fixed was a huge pain and they were not at all quick to offer to correct their own mistake. They really need to get someone to handle the phone who speaks and understands english better. I will defiantly be making the extra drive in the future to go to: Sprout's Springroll & Pho 780 East Road to Six Flags Suite 238 Arlington, TX 7601

Great Vietnamese restaurants in Arlington are not too hard to find so the competition is tough, but this little restaurant rises to the level of the best. The spring rolls were delicious and the chicken vermicelli with egg roll was just as good. Ask for a little extra fish sauce, throw in some hoisin sauce and you have a great meal. Service was outstanding but not intrusive and I was never left needing anything--something that usually seems to be missing at other Pho restaurants. They even seemed happy to see me! The ambiance and interior is far better than any other Pho restaurant in Arlington hands down. There is a full service bar, huge screen playing whatever game might be on-thankfully muted--and some pretty awesome modern music that in no way diminishes the atmosphere. Tasteful and modern. If you are headed east on Mayfield you will have to do a couple of u-turns to get to it, but it is well worth the effort!

If I could, I would give them a 3.5/5 stars. The decor is very nice which is uncommon for a Vietnamese Pho restaurant. However, when they are THIS nice, I automatically assume the food will be more on the Americanized side. I still wanted to give it a chance. I was so in love with the chandelier in the front. My dad really enjoyed the fact that they were playing sports on a projector. My family & I started with the springroll appetizer where you are able to pick 2 springrolls which are cut in half for you. The brother chose the traditional Vietnamese spring roll which comes with a traditional peanut dipping sauce and the grilled shrimp spring roll which comes with a pineapple sauce. The rolls were indeed very big but it was mainly veggies and noodles. We should've gotten a different kind of springroll because they tasted basically the same. They were very fresh but they didn't give much "meat" in the springrolls. Also, the pineapple sauce was EXTREMELY salty. We told the owner but I don't think he cared because he was telling us it was supposed to be that way. For my entree, I ordered the pho sampler for $4 and the duck mango roll for $6. Since the place is known for both their pho and spring rolls, I wanted to try both! I also wanted to try a spring roll that was out of the ordinary. With the pho sampler, you can choose either beef or chicken and you just get a smaller bowl. It was indeed very tastey. Even my mom was impressed with the flavor of the broth. Very authentic. There was nothing special about my duck mango roll. The duck itself has very little flavor to it so the roll was just... boring. My brother had the Shaken Beef Salad for $10. It normally comes with rice but since it was a "salad", they didn't bring out any. My brother did enjoy it and ate every last bit of it. My dad ordered the orange chicken. I had a bite and I liked it. Not too fried and they serve it with egg fried rice and a small salad. This was $9 but he got a good big portion. My mom ordered the Egg Noodle Soup with Seafood for $8. She thought it was ok. I had some and I agreed. It was great but it wasn't bad. It was just a little bland. We just needed to add some more fish sauce but they don't put fish sauce or soy sauce out on every table like other typical Vietnamese restaurants and I think my mom just didn't want to bother asking for it. My sweet tooth kicked in and I decided to order dessert. Our choices were ice cream, homemade cheesecake, and creme brulee. I decided on the creme brulee and wow.. this has got to be one of the BEST creme brulee I've ever had and I've had many in my days. It was really rich, smooth, and not too sweet. There was not a single drop left. I do want to try the cheesecake next time since they make it themselves! The service was nice. Our waitress was very sweet and EXTREMELY energetic (maybe too energetic). She was very talkative but poor thing was forgetful sometimes. The owner came out to check up on us too. So in conclusion - I recommend the pho and the creme brulee! I don't think I would order spring rolls here due to the price and amount of meat they put in the rolls. I'm used to getting 2 spring rolls for $3 - not 1 springroll for $3. The food is also overpriced. You can get a small bowl of pho for $5.25, large for $5.75, or XL for $6.95 at otherplaces. But if you ever feel like going to a nicer pho restaurant, I guess you can pay the extra $1 for the ambience. It's also cool that they have a full bar.

I'm totally addicted to the bun with chicken and the traditional spring rolls. We visit at least once a week and always receive great service and delicious food!!

I came here with a large group of people after 8pm (they closed at 11pm that Friday night). While the food was decent and filling, the price was a little on the steep end. My bowl of pho was $6-7 for a medium bowl which would normally be $5 at a less fancier place. Spring rolls vary between $3-4 normally and are a lot of noodle. The pho (eye of round and meatballs) was nice, warm, had an acceptable amount of meat and noodles and came with the obligatory plate of bean sprouts, veggies, etc. and was very fragrant and yummy in an approx 9 inch bowl. My spring roll (Summer Roll) was cut in half, thick and was probably 60% noodle, 20% vegetables, 20% meat, and came with peanut sauce. Tasty but probably not worth the price. Like others have said, you are paying for the nice environment mostly. While the restaurant is in a strip mall next to the medical district of Arlington, the inside is nicely decorated and has a large projector for sports, a nice bar, and a very almost fusion-y atmosphere. I appreciate the slightly upscale feel of the place and it is definitely a nicer-looking place than a hole-in-the-wall pho restaurant for sure. The food isn't bad and I would give it probably a 3.5 but the exceptional service made me bump it up to a 4. There have been plenty of times when I've gone to Asian restaurants and the "service" would consist of the waiter/waitress seating you then standing for 5 seconds before asking if you knew what you wanted, grabbing your food and delivering it to your table without a word and then leaving until it's time for you to pay the bill. At Bamboo Pho & Springroll, our waiter (although I don't remember his name nor recall him ever telling us) was very attentive to our group, frequently refilled our drinks, and was just overall a good sport for our ~12 person party. This is more suitable for a date spot than anything. If you're looking for a nice, cozy atmosphere in a place where you won't have to feel awkward for not being Asian, I would come here but be prepared for slightly higher prices.

The price is high than other vietamin restaurant . The flat noodle is so bad. Don't order that one. The spring roll and other roll is better

Anything with grilled pork is delicious. The pho was great as well. I only wish our waitress understood what the hell I was saying and that they had draft beer. But over all it's a great place with a good atmosphere.

This is my first review but I've been Yelping a long time. I felt I had to after this amazing food! I used the $20 for $10 deal on here and that made the meal a steal. It came out to 15 dollars after the deal and we got a large Pho soup, Filet Mignon and Fried Rice, and two spring rolls. The Pho and Spring Rolls were typical of what you would expect. Nothing better, nothing worse, just very good. What impressed me was the filet Mignon and fried rice! The flavor on both was unlike anything I've had before! I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

This place was a life saver after my wife gave birth to my son via c section she was not allowed to eat solid food and she said everything at the hospital was bland. So being the great husband I am I whipped out my phone to find soup for her and walla this place is across the street and they serve pho. I called and order very late and explained how I need just broth for one and for me the mix with tendon, tripe and so on, the gentlemen on the phone was courteous and helpful. When I came back my wife loved the broth she said she could live off just that it really made everything better.

OK so being so in love with this place since the day it opened, I tried to give this place another try....sad to say the management is poor, food quality is poor....its delivery quality food. I am very sad, its very disheartening when your eatery is no longer serving food that is edible. They got rid of all of the good people and replaced them with not so good people. I wish Top was back in town he wouldn't let this be this way unless they have sold it to someone who doesn't care which is what im thinking.

Pricing is a fairly big factor in why Bamboo doesn't get a slightly higher rating in my Pho book. It is hard to do a bad Pho. There is obviously a cult recipe that every utilizes, a Vietnamese-held set of spices if you will, so there is not much in the way of variation... You just better have some MSG to make your recipe golden. What MSG for Asian cooking is what butter is to Paula Deen's cookin'. Everything tastes better with it, and you can't live without it! That being said, your pho better be salty, meaty, and savory. The pho here is quite good, with the correct portioning of everything. Additionally, they are boast quite a hefty hand with the meat in the pho, whether it be chicken or beef. But let me take a minute and ask, "who the heck would come to a pho joint and order a chicken pho?"... at least in Texas. $7.25 for a large is roughly 20% more expensive than the norm. The spring rolls here are outrageously expensive at $3 a pop. Fortunately, the grilled shrimp one was good, the traditional with pork and shrimp was good, and the skin and noodles were good--not sticky or overly thick. I am iffy on the overall experience. Expensive, better than normal, but just nothing over the top as to allow me to enjoy tipping as at a full service restaurant or pay as I am eating a more than nitty-gritty pho joint. Shouldn't po' mans food STAY po' mans food?

I come here for two reasons. The first are the Crunchy Chicken Avocado Spring rolls. Fresh with avocado, grilled chicken and crispy fried onions. The second completes my day every time I come. Creme brulee. The Kahlua kind. Size large. You'll want more if you don't. You'll want more after you get the large. Not the best Vietnamese food in town. But great atmosphere, friendly service, full bar and decent prices.

I love this place! My husband got the hanoi pork while I got a beef pho. We also got an order of traditional spring rolls. I got a Thai Tea with bobas. I can't say enough good things about this place. The food and drink were excellent! The service was quick and friendly. The prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back again.

I came in here for lunch with my parents. The interior decoration is really pretty. My dad said it's to attract the American customers, and I think he's right. We were like the only Asian people in the restaurant, but it was 4PM and that's when restaurants are slow. The daisies they place on the walls are an eye sore though. All three of us got the same noodle dish. They ran out of cilantro, so they doubled up on the green onions, which was not good. There was too much salty soy sauce in the noodle. We've ordered the same noodle dish from other Vietnamese restaurants in Arlington and they gave us more meats and less "filler" veggies than Bamboo Pho. The meats and veggies that they served with our noodles here were very limited, so it was just noodles. I also ordered the egg roll. they were long and skinny, but only 2 came in an order. Service didn't exist. Basically someone came to get our food order, and then came back to give us the food. No one came by to check on us to see if we needed anything else. No one came to refill my water. My glass was empty and I ended up drinking my mom's tea. Decor- 4 Stars Food- 3 Stars Service- 1.5 Stars

Ist time we were pleasently greeted and noted how nice and asian / modern the place was - very welcoming. I orderd a Filet Mignon salad, which had the excellent meat separate to the spring salad mix ( with a light vineagrette/cilantro dressing) and some sliced tomotoes for a side garnish. It really was a 4**** star salad. My wife's sweet potato noodle with steak (2**) was unique but somewhat bland to me. Thai tea was average. I will definately return andtry more!

I've been here twice and both times my experience was excellent. The food was delicious, the service was prompt, the place was spotlessly clean, and the ambiance was nice. My first visit was for the Pho'. I chose the eye-of-round and flank steak. It was very good. I'm a white guy so my bar may not be set as high as a native from Vietnam but I've been eating Pho for 20 years (in the US) and this was as good as any I've had. The egg roll that I had with it was very fresh and light. The meal was large, the ingredients plentiful, and I got stuffed. The portions were not as big as Pho' 95, but frankly - I don't need that much food. The one thing I missed was the traditional salty limeade. They did have a fresh lemonade soda that was delicious and filled the gap nicely though. The prices are slightly higher here than some of the other Pho' places in town. The extra 3 or 4 bucks you'll spend will get you the options of dozens more different foods on the menu, an upscale environment that reminds me more of a quiet steak or Italian restaurant, options for dessert, and a boba (aka 'bubble') tea and smoothy menu. Regardless - considering what you'd pay anywhere else for a delicious meal - this place is still a very good deal for a very good meal (anybody need to buy a jingle? I'm cheap!). I don't want to be too frivolous with my 5 stars, but I figured there's 1,2,3,4, and 5 available. I'm an engineer. I think this means that if they are in the top 20%, they should be getting a 5. I don't withhold 5's for only places that make me woozy in the head and ready to leave this earth a satisfied man, but I do feel that if a place serves me a delicious meal, does nothing wrong or annoying, if the service is prompt and they are obviously trying and doing so successfully, and the setting and ambiance is pleasurable to dine in, and the prices are appropriate, well, then that to me is a 5. That's quite a few issues to grade by and Bamboo does very well in all of them. I'm surprised by some of the lower ratings and bad experiences, but my guess is - this is a somewhat new place and maybe they were getting on their feet and getting the hang of the restaurant business. There may also be some variation in the staff from shift to shift and day to day. It beats me, but I'll keep going until I am inspired not to, at which point I'll definitely change my review.

I visited Bamboo Pho and Springroll during my Texas vacation. I met Top, who really made some great suggestions on what to order. The tilapia spring rolls were delicious. The overall ambience, cleanliness, and prices were great. Top hooked us up with complimentary creme brûlée since we were visiting. What a nice touch!

I wanted to try a different Vietnamese restaurant in my area and this restaurant had an average 4 star rating on Yelp so I thought it would be pretty good. Plus, some reviewers highlighted some of their dishes, which I always appreciate in a review. As per the reviews, we tried the grilled pork spring roll, crunchy chicken avocado spring roll, and the duck mango spring roll, and pho. First of all the spring rolls are overpriced for just one spring roll. Secondly, we were not impressed with the flavor of the food. Lastly, I am concerned on how sanitary their meat handling practices are. The duck meat in the spring roll smelled odd and unappetizing. I love duck and have had it in various ethnic dishes and it has never smelled like that. I also ordered grilled chicken and rice for my daughter. My daughter likes grilled chicken and when I attempted to feed it to her she says "yuck" and turns her head away. I tried it and it did smell and taste peculiar. The reasons why I gave them 3 stars was because they had good customer service and the food was not completely horrible.

I enjoyed the shrimp terpedos, which are shrimp wrapped in eggroll skinned lined with cream cheese and deep fried, served with a side of thai chilli sauce. I was craving some and it hit the spot. Came out fresh and crispy =D I ordered the Asian chicken salad thinking that it was (Goi), which is a vietnamese cabbage or lotus salad. It's usually tossed with shredded chicken in a tangy vinagrette dressing with cilantro, basil, carrots and other veggies, similar to a cole slaw if you would. Perhaps I should of asked the server before assuming, but you would think she would of at least said, that the portions are pretty big, and it's an actual salad with a chicken breast. Because I ordered the combination fried rice as well and my date ordered the orange chicken, and as a reminder we had the shrimp torpedos. Hmm, i consider myself a big eater, but come on, any waitress would at least raise their eyebrows when a girl of my size would order that much and not mention the portion sizes. None the less, i wasn't terribly dissastified, but once I finished with my salad I had to get my fried rice to go. I typically like to have a small bowl of soup to slurp on the side of my rice dishes, and its' basically just the broth from the pho dish. Well, this came out cold, and tasted like water with no garnishments like green onions or cilantro. Which tells me, if your soup broth tastes that bland, that i'm certain that your soup entree' is as well, so i'm glad I didn't order that. I also ordered the green tea, that tasted as if there was a ton of artificial flavoring in it. I was expeccting fresh brewed with no sweetners. So, when I asked to see if I can switch it out for the jasmine tea instead, the watiress said that it would cost me another $1.50 because they don't refill on tea.?!?!?!? Wow, that's news to me. Michelle N, had suggested the creme brulee as dessert and we noticed that review after we had closed out on the tab, because we weren't aware of them even offering desserts of that kind at an asian restaurant. The waitress dropped the ball on that too.. Which was another, *flick my hair moment* It came out and was cold underneath but hot on top due to the flared sugar, yea sure I get it. But, it didn't compliment the dish very well. Would I return, hmmm? I do want to try their banh hoi dish, and get a regular house tea next time instead. but sure, overall was good.
