Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Me and my wife stopped here on our way thru Amarillo and decided to try something new! I got the Green Striped Piggy and she got the Momo. They were both equally unique and definitely delicious! At our waiter was very friendly and helpful, and answered any questions we had. Even made a suggestion to add candied almonds to the piggy, which was a brilliant idea! We are glad we stopped by at one of the top rated pizzerias, and now our favorite, in Amarillo!

When Urbanspoon named this Amarillo pizza joint the best pizza in AMERICA, we had to give it a try: urbanspoon.com/blog/2014… I love anything from Texas, but "Amarillo" and "America's best pizza" don't exactly got together like "peanut butter" and "jelly." We found ourselves in Amarillo driving home from vacation during the middle of a winter storm and were so glad they were open. I had "the Rage" with mozzarella, candied almonds, goat cheese, jalapenos, and bacon. I'm a pineapple pizza lover, so I was intrigued by the candied almonds--a sweet pizza topping I'd never seen before. Holy cow, I was not disappointed! The candied almonds were my favorite part of this chewy-crusted goodness, but all the flavors complemented each other perfectly. Sweet from the almonds, rich and salty from the bacon, a low-burning heat from the jalapenos, all brought together and smoothed out with creamy mozzarella and tangy goat cheese. Just the chewy, cheesy, spicy goodness I needed to thaw out my frozen insides. My boyfriend had the meat-loving "Bender," with pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and Canadian bacon. All the meats tasted fresh and flavorful, like the best version of the meaty favorites you know and love. No thin, floppy pepperoni over here! I especially loved the sausage, which had a tangy anise flavor to it. That added a nice bit of lightness and refinement to the otherwise hearty meat flavors. If a lumberjack wanted to curl up by the fire, watch the snow fall outside his cabin in the woods, and eat a pizza, this is the pizza he would get. The service was great and super friendly, especially considering we showed up about 15 minutes before the kitchen closed on a night when no one was out and most of the roads were iced over. My only complaint is that they don't deliver to Dallas. Come on, 575, it's only a 5-hour drive!

This place stands out from other pizza places in Amarillo. Unique and quality ingredients make for geat pizza. Also has a nice selection of beers. I personally like to go for the beer in a bag. 3$ gets you a random beer in a brown paper bag, no cheap domestics.

Yummy ! This is probably the best pizza place in Amarillo, Texas. It's not your average Dominos or Papa Johns. It's in the category of "gourmet pizza". They have several thin crust pizzas (regular and white) topped with more than just the average toppings. They also serve calzones and salads too! I ordered an XS of The Surgeon. It was delicious! Spicy pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, and roasted red peppers. The crust was crispy, the flavors were there. I didn't even feel the need to dip my pizza in ranch like I normally do. The XS was enough for me. My only complaint was that it was just a little too greasy; but hey, who doesn't love and expect that extra little grease on their pizza. The staff was friendly, the decor was nice. At night you might even get to hear some live music. This is a pretty cute place for a casual date night or hangout with friends. Recommendations: + Try the Green Hot Sauce on the table. Got a nice mild kick to it and is delicious on all the pizzas!

Wanted to try something new, great choice! Delicious pizza that's fresh and different from your every day pizzas. Great atmosphere and bar.

If you are in Amarillo for a minute and need to decide where to go to eat, you should go to 575 Pizzeria! It's hands down one of the best pizza places in amarillo. It's a bit on the pricey side but you won't care once you will start eating. The recipes are unique and have fun names like "The Surgeon" or "Edelweiss" and are perfect for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Highly recommend this place. It also sponsors bike beer crawl in august month which is fun if you are a biker. This place has a great ambience which I am sure you will enjoy. There are two 575 pizzerias in Amarillo, I prefer the one on civic circle, it's smaller but has a lot more character!
(5)Kasey C.
Was not impressed with this place. The pizza dough seemed to be a frozen or premade. The caprese salad was made with canned tomatoes. The pizzas were bland and left me wanting more. The best part of the this place was the wikistiks for the kids to play with instead of crayons.

Let's face it... Amarillo is mostly tex-mex, chains and Steakhouses, so when I'm craving a pizza being far away from home.. There's not a whole lot of great options that aren't chains. Well.. This is where 575 enters. In a western arena of lacking pizza joints it stands king. My rating is based mostly by the area. Had this little place been in my neck of the woods in Ohio... We'd be looking at more like a solid three star rating. I didn't think hipsters existed in this part of the country until I stopped here and surprisingly it was a nice change of scenery from the local sneering we encountered around Amarillo. Everything is just chill here. They have a lot of hipster ales, IPAs and other drinks to wet your whistle, but the house made sangria really caught my eye. I imagine that's what you want to go for if you're looking for a good drink to accompany their pizza. The garlic knots are buttery, doughy goodness. The pizza was A-Ok! A flatbread style crust.. With "gourmet" toppings. I ordered the striped piggy with green chilies, bacon and numerous cheeses. With all the combinations.. It seemed it work. Prices run on the moderate side. I guess it's to be expected for some of the different ingredients. The crushed tomatoes they served as a dipping sauce on the side was phenomenal. They tasted almost like tomatoes from the garden. It was a pleasant surprise to say the least. Not too shabby, though Amarillo.

On the advice of Yelpers tried the Omni. Great crust, good sauce. The pepperoni was surprisingly spicy and flavorful. I don't know if it's the best pizza in the country, but it's pretty damned good. Really friendly staff! Made me feel like part of the family for the half hour I was there!
(4)Craig H.
Best pizza in Amarillo, possibly in Texas, maybe the world. I love eating here. All the pizzas are unique and very tasty. We have never had a bad experience at 575. If you are debating on wether or not to eat here...go to 575.
(5)Brianna J.
I wasn't as impressed with my white momo pie as I thought I would be. Waited 45 minutes and the pie was lacking cohesive flavor.

From Michigan, with dietary issues (vagan), and being beer snobs, we weren't sure what we would find in Amarillo. This place was an excellent Yelp find. My hubby's vegan calzone was the best he's ever had. My non-veg "green striped piggy" pizza was delicious (even cold from the cooler on day 2). :) the cool staff was knowledgeable and introduced us to a TX microbrew with the random "brown bag" bartender choice. This was a delicious hidden gem. Top five of pizza joints for me! We loved the local musician (guitar singer) and art. Well done!
(5)Tabatha J.
575 is my favorite for pizza. The Colorado has spinach, feta, & broccoli & is wonderful! Prices are considerably more than your regular Pizza Hut or Dominoes, but the quality is exceptionally better. Expect a wait though, the pizza is made to order & does take time.
(5)Marco R.
ok, my Mom and I were visiting Amarillo for a graduation celebration (mind you we are from California). We were recommended to this place by the Marriott Hotel, so I thought WOW! We headed over to check out the place. It was happy hour time but not busy at all, so when the waitress asked how many i replied 2 please, well she took us to the back of the restaurant where the kitchen/bathrooms were. I asked myself after passing all the empty seats located at the front of the place, but I didn't say anything. No sooner then we were seated, a white couple came in and were seated in the front of the place. HMMMM I thought, this place doesn't cater to my type of peeps (Mexicans) So sad to say the service SUCKED and I had no problem leaving the waitress NO TIP! Get it together people we are ALL ONE RACE!

My first time at 575 and I was not disappointed. After hearing so many great reviews, I had to give this place a try. I ordered the Bender (red pie) and the Quattro (white pie). First, the pie crust was perfect-crispy with just right amount of charring. The sauce on the red pie was just right and the 4 meats (pepperoni, canadian bacon, sausage, & bacon) was delicious. The white pie was a nice surprise with its amazing flavor. The combination of the 4 cheeses (mozzarella, parmesan, feta, & goat cheese) was the best cheese pie I've had. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying their other great pizza combinations!
(5)Valery C.
I had The Dana pizza, it was alright. The place looks cool and the staff is very nice, but the place is kinda small. It's a good place to stop if you're traveling somewhere.
(3)Leah C.
This is hands down the best restaurant in Amarillo (yes I've eaten at BL Bistro and many other places and am comparing them all to 575). They've typically got a reasonable selection of microbrews on tap with an awesome selection of bottled/canned beers from other craft breweries. My last sit-in at 575 they had Alaskan and Deep Ellum on tap with Anderson Valley's Blood Orange Goose in the can (one of their amazing seasonal sours that you can't even find at Spec's in Lubbock right now, and they've got one heck of a deal on a 6 pack!) and Deep Ellum's Dream Crusher double IPA in the can as well. The Doro is my favourite pizza by far, though I've had a couple others that weren't bad by any means. I do enjoy the garlic knots as well! They make everything from scratch, so you can really tell the difference between their pizza and other places around here. They have several TVs around the restaurant and will put on football (aka "soccer") and hockey if there are games going. The servers I've had when I've eaten in the restaurant have all been lovely! The only down side is that if an American football game is on it gets to be pretty loud so I personally prefer to take my orders to-go when they're on. The only real downside is that this place is closed on Sunday's.
(5)Heather J.
Fabulous pizza! Lots of topping choices. Home made, fresh ingredients, great think crust! Service was wonderful! Huge selection of wine and beer!
(5)Katie A.
I called in a to-go order on my drive home from Colorado to Dallas. I hardly think we could've made a better choice. They took my number off the caller ID for the order (a convenience I'm a huge fan of) and told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I said I wouldn't be there for 30 minutes, they said they'd hold the order 10 minutes so it'd be fresh baked when we got there. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. Fun, funky, and inviting, I would've hung out for a beer if I didn't still have half my drive ahead of me. The pizza is genuinely tasty; you can tell they use quality ingredients, especially the pepperoni. I like a thin crust, crispy pizza. I wish they delivered to my house, it's *way* better than the place I order from in Dallas. What made this a 5 star, instead of 4 star review, was the staff. Not only did they do a great job on the phone, but we were greeted warmly and taken care of promptly. I had to use the facilities, and the guys went out of their way to make sure my boyfriend was comfortable while he waited. Great decision. Great pizza. Will stop again next time I'm in town.
(5)David K.
Great Pizza! and good selection of beer. I love this place! I always have an issue deciding which pizza to try. I haven't had anything bad to eat here!
(5)Meredith R.
Very unexpected, for Amarillo. First, don't judge a book by its cover with the 70s shopping center location. Inside it's got pretty cool decor, for Amarillo. I even saw some Amarillo hispters! I almost thought I was at home in Austin for a minute. The pizza was pretty impressive. I got a small, but it was enough for two meals. The pepper, etc. they put on it makes it stand out too. I spent around $14 for a drink, and a small pizza with 3 toppings. The remainder was boxed up and eaten cold in my hotel room later that night. Other than that, it seemed like a fun place to drink. If I'm ever back in town, I'll return.
(5)Joel C.
In town from Park City, UT on business tonight, read reviews, decided to try this place. Absolutely awesome. We got the surgeon and the drizz, and greek salad was great. Awesome food, cool atmosphere good vibe. The service was great - friendly staff. I will be back to this place.
(5)Christiana S.
I suppose the lack of pizza options gives this place higher reviews? I don't know...I'm comparing this to pizza I've had in many other states and cities across the country, not the other places in town. The pizza was just bad. The place was way overcrowded, which had me excited, because I figured it had to be good! Instead it just seemed like a chaotic, long wait for something wholly unworthy. The crust has no flavor. None. I don't think they use yeast as a primary lifter; probably a chemical rising agent for the dough like a lot of chains use. There weren't nearly enough toppings to cover the crust, either. I was disappointed to see a 1.5-inch width of plain crust all the way around. As for the toppings, there was almost no cheese on it at all. The sauce, which is a chunky style, was exactly that...very chunky. I'd have several bites with no sauce, then suddenly a bite with a big chunk of tomato. My husband hated that, because he doesn't like cooked tomatoes like that. There were almost no mushrooms on it. And at $2 a topping, I expect more than about a dozen pieces of mushroom on a large pizza (yes, I counted, that's how few were there). They do seem to use a premium pepperoni, because it wasn't nearly as greasy as if a cheap one was used. However, it had no spice or bite to it, which is, for me, kind of the point of pepperoni. Anyway. I ordered a large pizza and ate one slice, then threw away the rest. $23 for one slice of terrible pizza.
(1)Michael P.
Tried the gluten free crust and it was great with the white pie. It's worth the trip. It comes in a 12 inch crust, then you top it with what you want. 1 choice in gluten free beer I did not try but they have Angry Orchard Hard Cider. Great atmosphere! Give it a try. Can be busy at night though.
(5)jamie m.
Damn good pizza, tattooed waitstaff and bikes as decoration. In Amarillo for one night driving cross country, wanted a really good meal, came here because of all he yelp reviews. Not disappointed. Felt like a hip haven in northern Texas, which, to two California girls, felt like home.
(4)James D G.
Awesome pizza. The white pies rule! Great salads & bread sticks. The look & feel of the restaurant is great.
(5)Alex K.
Best pizza in Amarillo by far. Out company visits 575 every time we have a team meeting, and we always get the Green Striped Piggy(with candied almonds). You can't go wrong with that one.
(5)Steven N.
Great pizza place and the best in Amarillo. Hell it might be the only pizza place in Amarillo now that I think about it... The pizza here is very good and there are a lot of options. I usually split my pizza in half, with half of it being The Bender and the other being the Light House. The Light House is delicious, as it's basically olive oil, mozzarella, and shrimp, which I think is unique. The only drawbacks are that a pie is pretty pricey and that there's limited seeding. I can't remember a time where I didn't have to wait before eating. Once, we took a bunch of out-of-towners here but left because we would've had to wait so long.
(4)S M.
Best pizza in town. Get there early or expect a wait for a table, as the place is usually packed. Being so packed, expect to be crowded in around your table if your party is an odd size. In the winter the cold blasts in the front door, so you need to eat with your coat on. Were it not for the facility issues, I'd give it a 5 star. Yum. Ok, need to edit my review since they opened a second location off of Hillside. The new location is spacious and properly insulated from the weather, so yeah... now you have no excuse to miss out.
(4)Carl G.
Don't be fooled by the strip mall cover. Some good pizzas and some great pizzas. The quality and interesting ingredients hit a sweet spot. Good craft beer in the bottle in a town were good beer is hard to find. Service was great.
(5)Abi J.
From the crust to the toppings, the pizza we had here was outstandingly delicious. There was a wait when we arrived, but judging how busy it was and how many people were willing to wait, we figured it had to be great, and it was! The menu was pretty thorough, with both red pies (traditional tomato based sauce) and white pies (olive oil instead of sauce) as well as a "build your own" option. We started off with the cheese bread, which was fantastic. I wish the sauce had more of a kick to it, but they did have plenty of condiments and spices on the table so we were able to add some red pepper to give it some spice. When our pizza arrived, it was obvious that it had been cooked in a pizza oven, crispy toppings and a crunchy crust. The crust was thick enough to hold the toppings, but still thin enough so that it didn't overwhelm the pizza. As far as price, yes, it's more than a national pizza chain would be, but the quality is so much better it is worth the extra cost! They have a good selection of cocktails, wine and beer as well. Really, check this place out, it's great.
(5)Stephanie Y.
The Drizz and The Dana! YUM. Ordered to-go and the pizza was just as delicious as it would have been in the restaurant. Service was quick and the prices are reasonable for the ingredients on the pizza. I'll definitely be back.
(4)Jon and susan E.
Brian, a friend from California just happened in your place today and posted on FB about your great pizza. Said urban spoon top pie!? Wow, You own it. Small world, what's the odds? I know that place!!!! We are jones'en to come back and actually stay for dinner!
(5)Mark D.
Excellent pizza. They even have vegan cheese options. Great beer selection. Highly recommended. Worth the cost.
(5)Gene H.
I picked up a pizza tonight, and I didn't realize that pepperoni had black circles around the edges. Quality control is not a priority in this establishment.
(2)Jeanette G.
Great wood-fire pizza and a thoughtful selection of wines. A real find in Amarillo.
(4)Rusty B.
For Amarillo this is about as good as it will get for pizza. I love deep dish pizza but I am also a fan of pizza that has a light crispy thin crust that isn't heavy on sauce. That is what you get here. My wife and I ordered a small pepperoni, ground beef, red onion pizza along with bread with spinach artichoke dip. The dip was nice and warm with plenty to spread on each bread piece. Add two sodas, the price of $21 was pretty good for what we got to me. We came right at 5 on a Friday and there was already a 10-15 minute wait, so I figure most nights you will have to be patient. After being seated the wait staff did a good job serving us. If there is a negative it would be that it was kind of noisy and the place is kind of small. To be honest this place is probably more of a 4.5 rating. But since I enjoyed this place i feel good about rounding my rating up.
(5)Chuck S.
We found 575 Pizzeria via Yelp and were weary, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was out in no time. The pizzas had very fresh toppings and the tomato sauce was very tasty. They even sold me a six pack of Dogfish head at retail. This is probably our go to stop in Amarillo from now on.
(4)M T.
This place was a real find. We wanted to try a local Pizza spot & Yelpers gave this a thumbs up. So, we decided on a whim to check it out. Outside it has this dark mysterious look but inside it's hopping like a sports bar/restaurant. We ordered a large pizza & boy was it large! Toppings were fresh, crust flavorful and overall a really good pizza. The staff was friendly & quick; great customer service. We will definitely eat here again!
(5)M P.
Proof positive that you can't judge a book by its cover. Hands-down the best pizza we've had in ages. My husband actually said mid-bite, "mmm, this is the best pizza I've ever had." We got the only free table at 3pm on a Saturday, and by 4 there was a wait. Excellent craftsmanship in not only pizza, but dessert and sangria too. Worth getting past the building's exterior and immediate surroundings, this is a place you don't want to miss!
(5)S K.
Pizza is good (and very expensive) but not anything to rave about. Had a "Bender" pizza and I don't understand why the toppings were burned. The pepperoni was almost burned beyond recognition! I can get a better product for a much better price at some other places in town.
(2)Michelle H.
Best Pizza I ever had! I'm from L.A. And I've had my fair share of good food. Amarillo is lucky to have this place.
(5)Jessica M.
This place really fills the craving for yummy gourmet pizza. Amarillo in general seems to lack quality pies, but this place is one of the exceptions. I like all of the pizzas I've tried and enjoy the salads as well. They have caprese on the menu year round, but instead of serving of serving out of season tomatoes, they serve the salad with canned tomatoes. Naturally, nothing takes the place of a ripe heirloom, but I thought this was a clever alternative! The restaurant is pretty small and I don't think they take reservations, so unless you snag a seat at the bar, be prepared to wait for a table. Don't worry, this place is worth the wait.
(4)Albert F.
575 has pizza sewed up in amarillo. Very friendly staff. Very crowded and sound level high. Worth the wait, and many people do. I ordered the Edelweiss (artichoke and goat cheese) and my friend had a pineapple portabello, pine nut, basil topping. We were both pleased. For dessert we picked the cherry bread pudding (not made inhouse) and the amaretto cannoli. Special thanks to Miss Mo for her gracious hospitality. Locals all say this place has great pizza and exotic brews. We agree. Location a little challenge to find. Locals will help ypu.
(5)Joe K.
Not what I was expecting, but still a very good little pizza place. The pizzeria has kind of a modern feel to it, and so does their menu (which may be viewed on their website.) I was impressed with the selection of the pizzas on the menu as well as the beer list and how it was described. I had "the bender" (which essentially had a bunch of different meats on the pizza, including pepperoni and Canadian bacon). It was very good, and the extra-small was plenty large for my appetite (which when I ordered the "extra small", I thought I might be ordering some dessert.) But, this is a nice pizza place--and not just "it's got a nice atmosphere" or "the pizza tastes good." No, this is a slightly higher quality pizza place--expect more of a fresh ingredients type of pizza joint with real tomatoes, homemade sauce, and a thin yet wholesome crust. In conclusion, this is probably not the kind of place that everyone that has been conditioned to Dominoes / Pizza Hut / Papa Johns / etc. would love, but certainly is tailored to people that look for the extra quality in their pizzas. Also, make sure not to park in the parking lot belonging to the bakery next door. They will tow your car.
(4)Kate E.
I am in Amarillo for an event and had a taste for pizza. I search around on the internet and this place looked good. I ordered my pizza (the Surgeon) for pick up and there was a 40 minutes wait. When I picked it up, I did not look at it, but waited until I got back to the hotel. I was very surprised to open the box and see all the burned pepperoni. If I had opened it at the restaurant I would have asked for my money back on the spot. I do see from another Yelp picture that that must be the way they make the pizza, as opposed to a fluke, since the top of his pizza also looks burned. At $18.00 for a 12 inch pizza, I do not want my toppings burned.
(2)Jon V.
I stopped here with a friend while on vacation recently. The place was packed, so we sat at the bar. The staff, and owner, were friendly and efficient. It looks smaller from the outside, but inside this place is well utilized. The pizza? Tasty! A perfect thinner crust with some spices added (Pepper on the crust? Delicious.). I was pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend checking out this place.
(4)Andrew R.
If you love pizza NY style. Don't miss this little gem in West TX. Next best is in Lubbock & that isn't even as good. Great selection of wine and beer.
(5)tania c.
It became obvious as we started our road trip to Santa Fe that we would be yelping our way through most of our meals. Now, I'm just trying to keep up with reviews ;). A BIG THANKS to yelpers for pointing us at this restaurant. It was a wonderful experience! So, as mentioned in other reviews, this restaurant is pretty small. Even after 8, this place as buzzing. We were told a wait for 30 minutes for a table for two, but were seated almost moments later at the bar-- which was just fine! Our waiter / bartender was great. He was funny, friendly, and very approachable. He discussed the MANY beers that they have available and was very helpful in helping us choose the right one for us. He even gave me samples of a couple of the tap-beers so I could be sure. The pizza sizes are XS, S, and L. We ordered a small White Pie and I've waited too long to post this because I can't remember the name. It had artichokes, basil, and you know... other good stuff. It was delicious. Their White Pies do not have tomato sauce, and it was a tasty new twist for me. Finally, the dessert. Neither of us expected the desserts to be spectacular at a joint like this, but they were! He had the bread pudding and it was amazing. I had the coconut cheesecake and it was spectacular. It just melted in my mouth, yum! The bartender said something about the desserts being made fresh daily at... "real foods"? I'm not sure where he meant, but whoever they are... they know what they are doing! Overall, I would highly recommend checking this pizzeria out. And honestly, I don't even LIKE pizza that much. So, there's that.
(5)Shawn M.
Ok.. so Im a bona fide pizza snob. And I have a preference to good NY Style Pizza. I know many have said this is the best pizza in Amarillo. If that is indeed the case this is sad... We are from out of town and were anxious to get our pizza. Upon entering the establishment I was excited as the atmosphere was good and the wait was long. We got our pies to go so no worries there. Back at the hotel. First impressions.. I'm sure glad we paid for extra cheese as the toppings were so sparse the pizza was not even covered. It was also very cooked I like pizza well done but burnt.. not so much. The wait staff was nice.. unfortunately thats not what I'm paying for when I order a pizza. I would have had a more enjoyable meal if i had the cardboard flyers that La Quinta left in my room. Two thumbs down and a great big boo!! For 40 bucks I expect so much more ... stay away
(1)Lauren W.
Really good pizza with a large selection of toppings.
(4)Chas F.
Best pizza in town! Great salads, gormet pizza and good drinks! I love the Johnny drama add tomatoes and I always get a sangria! Let me note though, watch where you park! Snow white bakery will tow your car if you park anywhere near their store!
(5)Nichole K.
Not sure what's better the spinach salad or the Walsh Pizza. Always an excellent meal.
(5)Stephanie R.
This is that best pizza I have ever had..honest..anywhere! Go and try it. So worth the hard earned money!
(5)Michael F.
575 is unfortunately one of the most happening places you can eat in Amarillo, although I can't really judge since I don't live there. But I commend 575 for working with the rather small space they own and making it actually cool. The food is really pretty good and the atmosphere was a come from behind sucess. I would highly reccommend the alternative choice of the "white pizzas" without their rather obnoxious amounts of red tomato sauce splattered on their normal "red pizzas". It's a matter of preference really.
(4)Ali J.
AMAZING pizza (the Bentley is my FAVORITE) and great salads.
(5)Laurie G.
I visit Amarillo often as my parents and two of my brothers live there. I love pizza and was so excited to try this place as we heard many good reviews. First we went as a family over a birthday: BAD- took forever to get the pizza, arrived with barely any sauce or toppings and slightly burned ( in addition to being pricey!). We thought maybe they couldn't handle a party of 10 very well. I decided to try again next visit and got it to go: BAD again! same experience with the quality of the product. Gave this a THIRD try as kept seeing the good reviews and love pizza: AGAIN it was the same thing: takes forever to get the pizza, barely any sauce or topping and slightly burned crust in addition to being pricey! Not sure if Amarillo so desperate for decent pizza this is as good as it gets for them? Do people just have lower standards in this city as no real competition? ( yes I realize people travel outside of Amarillo for business etc but when your rate a level 5 pizza a 10, then it doesn't take much to impress obviously). Good luck Amarillo. We will settle for frozen and spend the savings on a good bottle of wine or head to Pizza Hut!...and continue to share our experience with these guys with others!

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a sucker for pizza. I will do anything for a nice, big slice with fresh toppings and unique flavors. Well, I found it here in Amarillo. Nobody's reviewed this place since mid 2008 and that would explain why nobody has updated the restaurant's name. Imagine my surprise when I drove to Amarillo from Lubbock and tried to find Basil Doc's but couldn't. When I arrived at the listed address, I found 575° Pizzeria. Upon investingation, the hostess told me it's still the same place - just decided to change the name and their image a bit. Instead of a small, local family style pizzeria, they've evolved into a bit of a modern hotspot. It's still small, though. Why 575? Because that's how many degrees they bake their pizza in. It's because of this intense heat that gives it's homemade crust a light and airy texture. It's crisp and yet, not crunchy. Whatever adjective you want to use, there's no denying that it's DELICIOUS. My brother and I decided to split a large Neopolitan pizza ($16 + $2 per topping). In hindsight, maybe this was a bad idea considering this pizza is 18" across and has 12 slices. Haha, hey we're big boys - we need a big pizza. As I mentioned before, the crust is homemade. The Neopolitan pizza is basically a "thin crust" formof pizza and that's OK because I love it that way. It doesn't fill you up too much. We ordered the pizza with meatballs and roasted red pepper. The meatballs were seasoned and tasted great, but the thing that made this pizza POP was the roasted red peppers! Why don't they put these on every pizza?? Succulant, marinaded red peppers gave this pizza a smokey, robust flavor that was complimented more by the tasty meatballs. Sprinkle some parmessan and some dried red pepper flakes and you've got yourself some pizza nirvana. And although this pizza is huge, we managed to put it away. Thank you, thin crust! 575 is located in a old strip mall and it's probably for that reason that many people have driven by this place and not given it a second glance. What a shame. You don't know what you're missing! Sure, it's small and seating is limited, but the pies here are to die for. If I was the owner, I'd definitely invest in a bigger sign that's lit up so people could identify this place. Instead, all that hangs over this restaurant is a sign that looks like it was printed on a canvas and nailed down. Spread the word around: if you're in Amarillo and love pizza, 575 is where it's at!

Amaaaaaaaaaazing pizza and they have Blue Moon on tap. Also, as a family member of people with Celiac's, I really appreciate their gluten free options in both pizza and beer/cider. Well done, 575!

Hidden in an off-the-path shopping center, 575 Pizzeria is a great choice if you like brick-oven, gourmet style pizza, yummy salads and a good selection of beer and wine. The place is a little snug. And don't worry when you drive up, the outside strip mall motif IS NOT continued inside. Inside there is a great lounge atmosphere and friendly staff. They had no problem splitting our checks for work purposes.

I was visiting Amarillo last week and ate here two nights in a row. I love a good beer and they have one of the top micro brew selections for Amarillo. Very good pizza as well and a good atmosphere. Closed on Sundays like most other independently owned restaurants in Amarillo. It would be nice to see a better beer selection on tap but they have a good selection in bottles and cans.

Very good pizza. Thin crust tho. Not my favorite.

The best pizza in Amarillo! Fresh ingredients and always consistent! The salads are great and you can't go wrong with any pizza-the Dana is my fav. Well worth the wait!

My husband & I went to this place on a Friday night @ 8:00 pm expecting to have to wait based on the reviews I had read, but were promptly seated at the bar. It is a tiny little place in a strip shopping center. There was no ambiance at all, so the food needed to be really good. It was pretty good, but not as good as it could have been. First we ordered the appetizer & salad special: garlic balls and the caprese salad. The garlic balls are a must. They were made of pizza dough rolled up in balls, baked to a perfect golden brown and were served up sitting in melted garlic butter with a side of garlic tomatoes for dipping. There were 3 in an order and definitely enough for two to share. The caprese salad was your standard : mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar; however, whereas the tomatoes typically are fresh ripe, & sliced in this type of salad, their tomatoes were whole. At first I was excited! I thought, "Wow, they brought out whole peeled tomatoes!!" then, I thought, "Wow, they brought out whole peeled tomatoes!!" I had to laugh. I pondered how I could ever have expected fresh tomatoes. After all, this is a West Texas town where if it's not deep fried or smothered in gravy, it comes from a can. Pizza was thin crust, brick oven style. Good, not great. If you're a sauce person, this may not be the pizza for you. The garlic balls are worth a return trip. Service was sufficient.

Simply the best pizza in town. Great local place with that "right at home" feeling. Great beer selection.

Traveling through town we decided that we wanted Pizza. 575 was recommended by so many that we had to try it. Awesome is the word I would use to describe the food, staff and establishment. So glad we went here.

Nice place with a great selection of pizza and beer. i'll be back soon

Good choice by my friend JR. I didn't really know what to expect, especially since 575 is in a strip center that looks like time forgot back in 1962. I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is chic, and they have great gourmet pizzas. They also have a really good and expectionally low-priced selection of craft beers. I got the Mama's Little Yella Pils ($4), and it was quite refreshing. For pie, I got the Doro - chicken, red onions, pineapple, chili powder, and jalapenos - sweet and hot - the best combo ever! I got the extra small, which is about 6 slices and it was the perfect size. However, they have up to 18 inch pies. My colleague was able to build her own pie, and we got the 'Tine Trio for an appetizer which included Olive Tapenade, Spinach Artichoke Dip, and Bruschetta, which were all delicious (and I am usually not a big fan of spinach artichoke). We had a great waitress named Kamie, too, and the bathrooms were super neat and clean. I will definitely go back when I return to Amarillo.

This might be my new favorite place in Amarillo. It doesn't look like much driving up to it, but inside it is nice. It was pretty full when we went and we had about a 30 minute wait. That didn't bother me though, I just had a beer while waiting. And their beer selection is great, which seems to me to be a rarity in Amarillo. I had a couple of beers that I have never had before. Then to top it off, the pizza was amazing. They have a good selection of unique pizzas to choose from as well as make your own. I definitely would come back here for the pizza AND the beer.

First, I will be a coming back as often as possible. It was just a really great place. The atmosphere was very nice, there was pleasing lighting for engaging conversation. The food was outstanding, we customized our pie and they made it to perfection. They also have a wonderful selection of brew and wine with a respectable happy hour. The waiter was amazing, fun, and helpful. He really cinched the entire place for us. Only down point was that the seating was a little closer than I would prefer. Even for a more causal, less romantic, place.

This place is one of the better restaurants in town. It's a shame it's hidden and underhyped. They have some nice selections of toppings. I couldn't even name them all but I definitely remember eggplant parmigiana! Crust is thin with just enough chewiness. Sauce seemed decent, and of course, heavy on the basil. Staff is young and a bit hipster, several kids from local bands work here, but it's not like eating pizza at Hot Topic or anything. Ambiance is great. Good attention to detail in decor, lighting. Seating is a bit tight. I often feel like I'm rubbing elbows with my neighbors and have had people comment on my conversations before, which is a little annoying for this ugly American with my huge bubble of personal space. Anyway I got over it and consider it part of the experience. Haven't messed with their wine selection as I don't buy wine that doesn't come in gallons but I was impressed with their beers and the prices aren't horrendous. As far as I know, this is the only place to get a cold St Arnolds Lawnmower! Definitely recommended. Now that Brothers is gone AGAIN I'm going to say this is probably the best pizza place in town. At least the best for dine in.

Very good pizza. Sauce has good flavor without being too spicy. There is no medium size And the large is huge. We shared the small for three and it was enough, but we could have each had one piece more. It was thin pizza and I prefer a thicker crust, but this was good. We were satisfied though because it was so good. Waiter was very nice. It is small but very nice place.

The gluten free pizza is the best gf we have ever had!

575 Pizzeria has very good pizza, excluding the white sauce pies (boring) and a good beer and wine list. The appetizers are also darn good. However, it's a tiny little place and is therefore always crowded on the weekends. If you show up on a Friday or Saturday night here, be prepared to wait. Also, the food is pretty darn expensive. This is probably the best pizza in town, so the price is probably worth it.... The Bentley and Edelweiss pizzas are personal favorites.

The pizza at 575 Pizzeria is GREAT!!! The toppings are fresh and the crust has just the right amount of crispness to it! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who considers themselves to be a pizza fanatic!

A recent visit shows the pizza is still delicious! We had two pies, the Dora (chicken, red onions, pineapple, jalapenos and chili powder) and the Bentley (canadian bacon, green peppers, red onions and black pepper). Both were delicious. Despite being packed on a Friday evening, people were served quickly and our server made sure our drinks were never empty and provided super-friendly service. Be sure not to park in the Snowhite Bakery parking lot next door- they will have your car towed as several diners found out when we were at 575. What a wonderful neighbor Snowhite is!

After a long wait (over an hour) we were finally seated. This small cafe must be the only one of its kind in the area because there were so many folks waiting to eat here. The pizza was really good but then also I wonder if we were just starving and anything might have tasted good. Overall, it was a fun atmosphere for West Texas especially considering it is located in a strip mall. They also have a decent wine and beer list. Try the Edelweiss pizza with artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes.

Who says everything good in this town has to be smothered in BBQ sauce? This place rocks! Dined here twice while in town visiting family. Wish we had this in L.A.! Word to the wise -- go early. There's been a 45-minute wait both times I went.

Good quality food... also a nice spot with really nice people running it. I was surprised to find such a great drink list at a place this size. Especially the wines. This place is charming in one other major way, too. (I'm surprised the hipsters aren't camping out yet...) It's very out-of-the-way. It's not on a major or even really a well-travelled street (thought it's near one). It's kind of tucked away into a very quiet unassuming business park near a bakery and a wholesale appliance store. This means that when you find it, if you like it, you can pretend it's all yours. I am sure it will develop a small but very protective following if it stays open a while longer. Just a little update: Boy, has it developed a well-earned following. It's been ages since I've been able to get a table for dinner without a wait. It's busy enough that the bakery next door has decided to get bitchy and tow cars from their "side" of the lot even after business hours. Classy! So yeah... be warned, lest ye be towed. I also can't stress this enough-- the pizza is TOTALLY worth the hassle. I like ordering the Welsh with goat cheese subbed for red onions. Best pizza west of the Mississippi, I'm sure of it!

Really really good pizza. The prices are pretty reasonable too. But the large pizza is really big (like 4 people can eat it big) so be careful there. The beer selection is also excellent. The only real problem is that there isn't much seating inside and the turnover is pretty slow so, if you go at the wrong time, you can get a pretty crappy wait.

When it is good, there is nothing better. When it is bad, it is inedible. Lately is seems to just be bad. Burnt and crunchy and dried out. Judging from the amount of carbon residue occupying the bottom of the pizza I would say it has been a long time since they cleaned the ovens. Try to get kids to eat a pizza that is 30% black.

Great atmosphere and pizza. They have a great selection of beer and wine.
(5)Laura G.
Swanky pizza place with delicious speciality pies! Seriously great pizzas that aren't your run of the mill. Not the cheapest, but well worth it for quality pizza! The seating sometimes makes you feel like you're sitting with another family or couple because the booths are so close.

Yes! Very good pizza! I split a small pizza. We had chicken feta on one side and pepperoni and sausage on the other! It was very very good!
