I walked in and first thing I noticed was how filthy this Applebee's was. Fingerprints all over tables and windows, crayon markings on the firnityre, dusty light fixtures along with filthy blinds. It smelled wet in there. When we opened the menus they were filthy with old food splattered on them. When we received our appetizer all three plates were dirty. I ordered the 3 penne and after my third bite I found a long curly hair in it. I immediately left for the bathroom since I became sick to my stomach immediately. When I went and told someone there were 5 employees just standing around talking. They could have been cleaning. The restaurant was full enough to stay busy as well. The manager came to our table and he was super young. He did take care of us. This applebees needs to be on restaurant impossible. Gross! I should have known by the filth as I walked in.

The food was served on plates that looked dirty and dingy. They were old plates that made it look in unappetizing. Waitress was cold and unfriendly. Atmosphere was 2 stars but food was better. I can see why this chain is struggling to stay afloat.

Tried going twice. The first time we were not greeted at the table for about 15 minutes. Not even a hello, or anything. We left and went somewhere else. The second time we were at least served, but the service was depressing and the food was bland. Not worth the money at all.

Consistent and good...corporate policy eh?? Staff is always nice, yep even to me! BUT why does it take 20+ minutes to crank out a Burger...that is consistent too....probably not corporate policy I reckon they were looking for the rest of my fries! Overall pretty good but $ value falls a tad shy. $2+Coke ....highway robbery man. BUT packing heat friendly! That's how you got that star #5!!!

Went here today for lunch during an interesting day. There was a good possibility a tornado was going to hit our town. As it was raining hard and with the tornado siren blaring, we had our lunch. We ordered the All You Can Eat Salad and Soup combo. You have 8 salads or so and about 5 soups to choose from. The server was always courteous and generous with the drink refills. She also made sure our AYCE salad/soup combo kept on coming on time. We only had 2 servings of their salads and soups. Then for a dollar more, she nudged us to have a brownie bite with ice cream. When we were done, she told us of an instance where 2 ladies ordered ten salads and 10 soups! Where did they have room for all that food! Anyways, we used to frequent our Applebees in Las Vegas. They have changed so much from before, it's like a brand new restaurant. No more crazy decorations. It now sports local pride with pictures of the local High School. Their menu also expanded exponentially. I had to take an extra few minutes just to decide on what to have. If you are hankering for decent food and courteous servers, you cannot make a mistake with the local Applebees.

At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain.
