We walked in and were quickly greeted by a polite wait staff. The restaurant had a very calm atmosphere, was delicately decorated, and had soft incandescent lighting. When ordering from new places, I always take note of how long the menu is. Sebastian's is not very sizable, but I found myself wanting to try every offering. We tried an appetizer, the fried mac and cheese balls. They were obviously freshly made, in house. The balls had a very delicate breading, and the Mac and cheese had a flavor that screams comfort food. They were served with a light sauce that I can only describe as perfect. We were hungry, so we both ordered the Sebbie burger. It was tall with double patties, lettuce, tomato, cheese, smoked bacon, and a house sauce. It was thoughtfully made and satisfied both of use very well. It was served with house made potato chips. The chips are certainly better when warm, so be sure to eat them before they cool down. The potato chips were probably the weakest offering of the night, and could certainly have been seasoned much more. Sebastian's was offering two deserts the night we came, homemade bread pudding and homemade cheese cake. I ordered the bread pudding and my girlfriend ordered the cheesecake. The bread pudding was definitely the best I had ever had. The chocolate sauce sprinkled over it brought everything together. A strawberry was served alongside, sliced. I tried the cheesecake as well. It was warm and fluffy, clearly very recently made. While I certainly prefer a more dense, cold cheesecake, it was certainly very satisfying, and I would order again. Out of the two, I would say the bread pudding is better. I look forward to my next visit to Sebastian's. I am excited to have such an excellent place for date night that is likely one of the highest quality restaurants in Smyrna. Give Sebastian's a try, and help to grow this great establishment that has only been open since December 2014.

You know, it is difficult to write this because I wanted to like this place so bad!! We live down the street, so to have a place that is so highly rated so close to us is very appealing. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. I had the shrimp scampi. My husband had the prime rib. The shrimp was overcooked and chewy and the sauce was runny. There was too much pasta and not enough of any other flavor on the plate. My husband's meal was better but more like a pot roast. The location is fine and it was a quiet dining experience. Will we be back though? Probably not :(

This place is the best kept secret in Smyrna. While other places nearby were on a wait, Sebastian's was nearly empty. The prices are extremely reasonable. We had two appetizers, three drinks and entrees and got out of there for less than a trip to Ruby Tuesdays. Service was attentive without becoming annoying. Definitely order the short ribs. It was tender enough to eat with just a fork. My wife got the pork chop. Excellent and tender as well. We loved it and look forward to coming back again.

Why five stars...? Firstly, I rarely give 5 stars. You have to have great food, AND great customer service. Even still, you can have less than stellar food and GREAT customer service and get five stars. It's about the experience. However this place has great food from a certified Chef de Cuisine and great customer service. I love supporting local businesses and this place is the reason why. You can tell this family has fought to make this place exceptional and I have seen it since startup go from a few customers in the lot to a completely full house....all of this is due to the welcoming attitude by the staff and Chef Taylor and his family. That's why we come back..... Everyone loves reasonable prices on food but when food is really, really good, you expect a premium price. Not here....for now. Chef Taylor is giving us excellent food for a low price....I like that. I'm glad he does it but I don't take it for granted. I would pay double what he charges for his dishes....'cause that's how I roll....and he deserves it. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with kindness and welcomed as if it were their home. They have a wonderful bar area if you want to just come and have a drink (several beers on tap and in bottle along with many selections of wine) and even eat at the bar. Wonderful works of art adorn the interior and I can only see this place getting better and better. So much in fact I believe they may not stay at this location. It would be great if they could get their own building in a more busy area which would really bring in the customers....Kudos to the great staff and to Chef Taylor and his family.....thanks for giving us a great local restaurant.

Omg!! I Love this place! The beer braised ribs are my favorite, they are moist and delicious. I love how tender it was, I cut the meat with my fork. It complemented the Italian polenta so well I thought I was in heaven. The atmosphere and music made the experience all the better, it's hidden away, but I found it. I will be back again soon.

Just tried this place for the first time and it was awesome. Both dishes my wife and had were very good. The bread pudding is the best ever. We met Sarah the owner and she was super nice. All the staff was very good and courteous. So glad to have a restaurant this good this close to our house.

The Saturday night staff was very friendly and hospitable as we walked in 15min prior to close. They all encouraged us to stay, eat, enjoy and take our time. We started with the Johnny Cakes that were golden brown and crispy on the outside and the inside was the right balance of warmth and chewy light dough. My wife had the special, a chili spice rubbed chicken that was panned fried to have a crispy skin. I had the Sicilian pork chop that was oven baked and lightly topped in a tomato cheese fondue. Both dishes were accompanied with roasted mixed veggies that included broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and mushrooms. The polenta was dense and creamy and perfect for cleaning up all the yummy sauces. The Chef gave us dessert on the house. The chocolate moose was thick but not too sweet and pipped onto a dense, thin and very flaky pastry, topped with sliced strawberries and drizzle of raspberry. We plan to go back often and eat our way through the many selections on the menu.

We have eaten here twice and love the food! The roasted chicken is delicious and tonight I ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED my Thai curry chicken. I will be returning soon and often to enjoy that dish again. And the service is wonderful and the staff is friendly. Please spread the word about this place!!

My husband & I were impressed with this new restaurant. We had the flank steak & braised short ribs...it was so good & melted in your mouth! The chocolate torte was sinfully delicious as well. Service was great as soon as we walked through the door. Casual fine dining at its best & very affordable.

We tried this restaurant the other day and I must say the chef Wade Taylor was very friendly. His food was outstanding we will visit this restaurant again. The only thing I did not like was the size of the beer glass ads the price it is. You get a glass with not very much in it for one thing and then the waitress did not even top it off. But that is not the reason we will go back. The food is the reason this restaurant will continue to do well. I'm sure they will get the draft beer amount right.

This has become a favorite for our family! The food is great at an incredibly good price. The atmosphere is upscale but still fun and welcoming for families. Best of all is the staff: I've never been to another restaurant where the staff are so friendly and genuinely interested in taking care of their customers. They feature a gluten free menu and after visiting many times (dining in and carry out) and trying something new each time, I've always been pleased with our food. I hope it stays for years to come!

7/28/15 A hidden gem! No need to drive to nashville for a diverse menu. We had the polenta/shortribs . The ribs melt in your mouth and the sauce was delicious. Never been a polenta fan but chef Wade made me a fan of his. Also had the spaghetti and meatballs and the meatballs were the best I have ever had due to his secret recipe and preparation. Definately a unique casual dining atmosphere with at a very reasonable price. Courteous attentive staff along with personable owners Sarah and chef Wade. We will be back. So nice to have a restaurant of this quality in Smyrna.

We are right down the road from this new gem. Had the Potato soup which was the best ever soup I've tasted. Had the taco salad and my wife the Chicken salad on Ciabatta. Great food , excellent prices, and exceptional staff. Come on Rutherford county, TN visit this superb establishment and keep them going. It's tremendous food and you will not be disappointed. Can not wait to try the rest of the menu. Wife was here previously and said tilapia tacos were one of the best she's had.. New staple

This restaurant is excellent. My fiancé and I had tilapia tacos as an appetizer, which were amazing, and the salmon and flank stank as entrees, which were equally delicious. Sebastian's is a must try, I highly recommend.

My sister has been begging me to try this place for months.. She absolutely loves it. We never come to this part of town, so I didn't even know it was there, so i'm glad she found it. Its a great new restaurant in Smyrna. (Off Almaville- beside Asurion) We made the mistake of coming on a Monday night, and they are closed on Mondays Came back on Friday night, and I'm glad we did. Food was good, and service was great! Cassandra (I think) was our waitress and she was just awesome... Even with 2 VERY drunk older men at the table- I'm sorry!! LOL, she stayed professional, and super friendly and patient the entire meal. The 5 of us all ordered appetizers- Fish tacos (I didn't get to try) Stuffed Zucchini- Pretty good, And Fried Mac N Cheese Bites- Really good. Crunchy outside, gooey, cheesy goodness on the inside. With a sriracha blue cheese sauce on the side- I do feel like I could have used WAY more sauce. That stuff is so good. On to the entrees... 3 people ordered the Chef's Specialty Beer Braised Short Ribs, and I got to try them, and I have to say honestly, I wasn't that impressed. It really just tasted like a good roast beef to me. Which I like, don't get me wrong,.. but It wasn't anything I would order out, because i just happen to make one hell of a good roast haha... I ordered the Sicilian Pork Chop- breaded, with a tomato sauce and cheese- Kind of tasted like chicken parm, but with a pork chop- Not bad at all. I ate half of it, though, and just didn't care for it as much as when I started. (Re-heated well the next day- still pretty good) The BF ordered the chicken- I think it had some kind of chili spice on it, It was very moist and tender. Delicious, actually, and I wished I had ordered that. Sides were seasonal veggies- roasted, and a cake like cheese grit thingy, that was different... I didn't 'not like it, and I kept eating it, but I don't really have feelings about it either way. All in all- everyone agreed that everything just needed way more seasoning.- Which wasn't on the table, we had to ask for a salt shaker. Which is my only critique, and why i only gave 4 stars. But for a bit 'bland', the food was actually still really good. If that makes sense? Anyways- would go back. Service was awesome and it's just a different change from all the chain restaurants in this small little town.
