Take out lunch is pretty quick. Lunch items are $6 - $8 & they offer a decent variety of sushi & hot lunch items. The place will do if you're work close by and are hungry for a quick fix. This place is definitely not a place where'd you'd take a date.

The only place in Smyrna I'd come for sushi. Dragon roll was good. I'd skip the teriyaki. I rarely do hibachi, but I'd try it here. Best seat is at the sushi bar, and my favorite asian place in smyrna.

After a week-long sushi craving, my Smyrnanian beau took me to Minami. It's in an... ahem... interesting part of Smyrna. In fact, if I'd been driving by, I would've been too distracted by the insane lines outside the Skate Center, the faded logo of the neighboring K-Mart sign, and the once hoppin' club turned shady vacant building next door to even notice this sushi gem. Upon entering, I noticed several tables up front and at least three large hibachi grill tables in the back. But sushi we came for, so sushi we got! We took two seats at the sushi bar and ordered an edamame starter with a small bottle of hot sake. So far, so good. When we decided on four rolls, we turned in our order. The sushi chef assumed the position and started on our culinary creations. As far as I'm concerned, we had the best seats in the house. The chef was also the owner and in talking to him, we learned he'd been making sushi for 27 years. Apparently, he's owned this location for 8 years but also has another restaurant in Brentwood close to Wilson Pike (closer to my neck of the woods)! He's hilarious, too. Sitting at the sushi bar and making conversation is highly recommended. Minutes later, we were served the most delicious Crunchy Crab, Godzilla (tempura shrimp, eel, avocado), Dunaki (deep fried spicy tuna), and Minami rolls! Speaking of the Minami roll... GET IT. It was my favorite. ...It's terrible that I don't remember what was in the roll as much as I remember the topping: calamari in a "special sauce." The most unique sushi I'd ever had! I think it's safe to say that if for no other reason, I'll definitely be back for that.

Really good sushi!! Dustin is the owner of this place .. He makes some amazing sushi rolls.. I am visiting from NYC and was really impressed by the rolls. A place to stop by if you want to have some good sushi .

Still great! They also do take out which is very convenient. It's tastes just as great and is ready usually ready very fast! Still can't beat the service here either!

Surprisingly my first time here... This is one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" type deals. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but it's quite the hidden little gem Sushi bar, Hibachi grills, and regular tables, but we wanted Hibachi- Comes w/ salad with a really good ginger dressing, but a LOT of it,.. almost like soup in the bottom. (But i didn't come for salad, so i was not deterred) After salad- soup. Not sure what it was,.. Mostly tasted like a chicken broth with a few onions sliced in, but i ate almost all of it, so there ya go Then comes the show! So much fun. Don't remember our guy's name, but he was awesome. Everything ordered- Filet Mignon, Shrimp, Lobster, Chicken, Steak Every single thing DELICIOUS and perfectly cooked. (Found a tiny bit of shell in the lobster, but didn't mind) Rice and veggies were good as well, I don't eat onions though, and there were a lot, so i had to pick them out, but next time I'll know to order without onions possibly I'm not a big sushi person, but looking through these pictures from the past reviews, I may just have to try some! It did look good walking by the sushi bar WILL BE BACK!

Great sushi place to hit up! Prices are reasonable and food is delicious. Service seems to be a bit slow. The times I've eaten there I feel like I'm always looking for my server to get the check.

This place is one of those great "hole in a wall" type places. The recent change in managment has led to many improvements. I already dug the place before but it is now somehow even better. Staff is super friendly and you wont find better sushi or hibachi without going downtown and paying out the ass for it.
