When we walked in the restaurant we were greeted by a very nice hostess and we're seated right away. The reason I'm giving two stars is because our waitress was horrible. From the moment we sat down our waitress, Melissa seemed irritated and it was easy to see she was in a bad mood. We got our drinks and food pretty fast, so everything was fine. But I did not like the taste of my food at all. I ordered off the 4-course meal menu. I got a shrimp and scallop pasta, but it was way too lemony for me. I hate sending food back, and usually just make due, but I didn't even want to try to eat anymore of my food, and so I decided it would be best to order something else. When we kindly explained the situation and asked if it would be possible to get something else, our waitress acted as though we were being ridiculous and said "I don't know, I'll have to go ask" and begrudgingly took my food. I mean, seriously?! It was hard enough to ask, and then she has the nerve to make me feel worse. She came back and said I could, so I told her I would have what my husband got. A nice lady from the kitchen brought my food out and apologized for the other food. I was only more disappointed to find that the waitress had put down a baked potato instead of mashed. But by this point I was too fed up to care. This lady has no business working with customers, if she can't treat customers with respect and kindness, even if she's having a bad day. If I'm going to go to a nice restaurant I expect to receive kind, respectful service.

My husband and I enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Red Lobster across from the Tanger Outlet. Our server was Lindsey and she was very helpful and efficient. I wanted the tilapia cooked in a bag which was not on the lunch menu but she knew what I described and made sure I got what I wanted. The food was excellent! Fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection. By far, the best Red Lobster experience we have had.

Our waitress, Mallory, was the best waitress we had during our four day trip. She was friendly and attentive and took great care of her customers. She is one of those rare souls that truly enjoy people and it shows in here work ethic. She asked where we were from and let us know that someone else who works there was from our area. She told him and he came out from the kitchen to see if we knew each other, which I thought was such a sweet gesture. We didn't know one another, but it was great meeting him and we did realize that his grandmother was also from our home town. My husband and I both had the promotional special that Red Lobster has going on right now - which is a soup, salad, entree & dessert for $14.99. We shared an appetizer of stuffed mushroom that came out piping hot and not greasy like we have had at other Red Lobsters. We both chose the potato soup, which was warm, thick and yummy. Our salads were fresh and we had an endless basket of those wonderful Red Lobster biscuits. I had the coconut & grilled shrimp and my husband had the fried shrimp meal. We had to take half our entrees and our desserts with us because we were just stuffed! Red Lobster isn't fancy, there is certainly better tasting seafood out there, but for a moderately priced enjoyable meal they just can't be beat. And if you happen to go to this particular Red Lobster and have Mallory for a waitress, your dining experience escalates to one that competes with the much more expensive restaurants. It simply couldn't have been better!

The green beans are always nice and crispy (I don't like mine southern wilted), but super oily. This time the lobster was a bit overcooked--easy to do on a grill, and the salmon was dry. I probably won't order grilled seafood again--lesson learned. The potatoes were ok, and my drink was properly measured. A very 'corporate' meal. For this trip I would give 3 stars for food, 4 or 4.5 for service. Hence my 4 star rating. On other trips the food has been better.

Our server was great and checked on us often. The manager came to the table and answered ALL of my daughter's questions about how they catch the fish! I could tell their focus was on customer service in this competitive restaurant market!
