I love this little place. It's always a good lunch when I'm around PF/Sevierville. It's away from the tacky Disneyland that is Pigeon Forge and has great country food at a reasonable price. I've had both breakfast and lunch and they were both delicious and very filling. The staff is really friendly and it honestly does feel a step away from a grandmother's kitchen - in a good way. My bf remarked that the sweet tea was good, brewed tea, not that powder crap that tastes fake. I also had a slice of pie which was very good. They had a lot of great country food options on the menu. Definitely worth a try if you're visiting and looking for a good southern meal. A word of warning - the bathrooms are outside and the doors don't latch well. I had a family of four walk in on me. That was fun. No. No, it wasn't.

Off the beaten-path and away from the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg nightmare. This is a little hole-in-the wall that serves great breakfast. I know that breakfast is hard to screw up, but it's also hard to do really well. The biscuits are featured on the sign for a reason - they really are something special. While visiting, I learned that a cathead biscuit is an Old-Tymey [sic] word to describe the size of a biscuit. Can't say anything for lunch, but would definitely return again for breakfast.

Recommended by a friend who we were visiting. Service a bit slow, only because there was one waitress (would have been a five star review) however the food was more than worth the wait and came out quickly once the order was made. The biscuits and country ham were fantastic. Wife had the fried chicken that was delicious. The batter was infused with honey and some other secret ingredient that made impossible to stop eating the entire half a chicken. The coconut pineapple cake is awesome and should be a must for your first visit. Will be back to try more things on the menu. Please note cash only.

OMG - quite possibly the best place to eat I have ever been. 100% home cooked. The fried chicken was terrific and the deserts were made there. Just love it - want to drive across country again just to stop here.

It's somewhat off the beaten path - on the way toward Cade's Cove, but worth the drive. They have an outstanding bacon & cheese omelet, and the biscuits & gravy were great, too!

Great food. Reasonable prices. Kid friendly. Friendly staff. A much welcome respite from the craziness of the Pigeon Forge main strip. Made the whole family happy.

We stopped here on the recommendation of the cabin rental staff. After a long redeye from LAX we just wanted something to fill our stomach. What we found was a fantastic hole in the wall cafe away from the craziness that is pigeon forge, that served up fantastic home cooking. Highly recommend the burgers and pulled pork. Be aware they close at 3 pm.

just like eating at grandmas and the food is awesome just like grandma used to make. looks like a locals regular place, deff be back!

The chicken fried steak is pretty good here as is the coconut pineapple cake. Nothing else was particularly memorable one way or the other. It's cash only and you have to leave the place to find an atm down the road at a bank. It's also a little pricey for diner food. Service was friendly. There are a lot of places like this one to choose in the area and this place is running in the middle of the pack.

Looking for a great little breakfast restaurant then the trip is not only scenic into Wears Valley but the service and food is fantastic at Grandmother's Kitchen. You can't go wrong with this place. Thumbs up and highly recommended.

Stopped in by accident on our way to Cades Cove. Had the lunch special Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans! Yum, It was the best meal we had while vacationing in pigeon forge. It's kind of kitchy on the main strips and we were looking for something authentic and unspoiled. Beautiful view of the mountains, chicken fried steak I could cut with a spoon and delicious potatoes and beans. Staff was absolutely delightful. Only downfall cash only so make sure you stop at the ATMs. It was about $40.00 for the 4 of us!

I live not far from here and have tried this place a couple times, greasy eggs, cash only and ok nothing to write home about food. The cash only policy takes you by surprise so be aware!!

Came later in the day (2pm) after visiting Tuckaleechee Caverns and was sad to learn breakfast was off the table. Lunch choices were fine, just not the biz-n-gravy my husband was hoping for. The food was fine, the service was the best! Loved it when my daughter ordered dessert and my husband mentioned he'd share it with her. Our waitress (Bobbi?) went ahead and split it up for them: gave him a teeeny sliver and her the rest of the slice. We all died laughing. "We try to have fun around here," she explained. And we did, too.

I wish we would have found this restaurant at the beginning of our weekend away instead of at the end. My husband had breakfast, I had lunch. He had eggs and pork loin and it was very tasty. The pork was cut a little thin, but was about what you would expect at this price point. I had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and greens. It was all good. If you prefer white gravy, be sure to specify. It comes with white gravy for breakfast and brown gravy for lunch. Mine came out with brown gravy but they quickly switched it when I asked. You definitely want the white gravy which seems to be freshly made vs the brown gravy, which was still on my potatoes and tasted like it came out of jar. The service was great. This will be a definite addition to future trips to the Smokies. Take cash, they don't accept credit cards.

We ate here at the end of a weekend that did not go to plan at all. Meant to spend 3 days in the smokies but ended up spending most of our time in Gatlinburg and PF. This place was the PERFECT antidote to the Parkway and the PERFECT meal to end our time in Tennessee. We shared the chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy and the fried chicken with cornbread. Everything was delicious - we needed a nap after - but delicious nonetheless! Finished the meal with a piece of homemade pineapple coconut cake and coconut cream pie. Amazing amazing amazing. Would recommend to anyone passing through the area.

We stopped here for lunch on our way back from Cades Cove. At first interaction I thought the server seemed annoyed with us but she quickly warmed up and was even kind and helpful when my son spilled his full drink (ugh). I had the daily special which was an amazing piece of meatloaf "like mom used to make" for only $6.95. It came with two sides (I chose delicious mashed potatoes and green beans) and choice of corn bread, roll or biscuit. The corn bread was a little dry, but I tried my husbands biscuit and it was SO good! My husband had the fried chicken and it was to die for and my mom had the country fried steak and it was tender and tasty. The cucumber and potato salad were also fresh and good. I'm so happy we stopped here and went all out for lunch so we can head back to the cabin and skip dinner. Oh, and we left with a piece of pineapple coconut cake. Yum!

We went here on our way to cades cove and was greeted by the rudest waitress I have ever had. She was very insulting to my friend. The prices were ridiculous and they only take cash. We looked at the menu and the waitress came back with her rude attitude so we got up and left. She should be fired!! Never again!

Expensive and poor quality. The coffee was so weak I could see the bottom of my cup. I got runny yolks with 2 little pieces of bacon and toast for $7. I had ordered eggs over hard with 3 pieces of bacon. I looked around for our waitress for 5 minutes but she never appeared. I had to just eat the eggs and avoid the yolks. I eventually did get my third piece of bacon, but it was a struggle to ask for. My companions were also really unimpressed. My sister kept saying "I'm so sorry for bringing us here. This place had good ratings, but I have no idea why!" Avoid.

At first I was quite pleased to find what I thought was an out of the way gem but then again on second taste. Not saying this place is bad just didn't taste as home made as I thought I was going to get. The meal was a decent breakfast. Most of it was pretty good the only thing I regret was the chicken fried steak. Which is the part I could not figure out if it was homemade or straight from a box. For the overall this place is a nice get away and didn't hurt to grab a bite there. More than likely it is better than any place you will eat while in the area. At the same it didn't really remind me of food my Grandma made. If I am in area I would have no problem eating here again. Wouldn't go out of my way for it but it was okay.

While on our way from Gatlinburg to Cades Cove we found this little place for breakfast. Our waitress was friendly and our food delicious. The prices were very reasonable. Much better than the 100 pancake places on Parkway. Definitely recommended for good food and true southern country charm. One warning though. This place is cash only.

Have visited many times, consistently great food, great atmosphere and great people. God Bless Grandma!

We should of stopped earlier, don't pass it by. Saw this going back and forth from our cabin but cooked our own meals. The last morning we stopped after checkout and were met with an awesome meal and excellent service. Anyway we asked for our food they knew what we wanted. Sausage omelet covered in gravy and biscuits.....awesome. Country ham breakfast. Pancakes and bacon platter. Don't expect gourmet dining in a country kitchen, just good food and good people. The waitress couldn't of treated us more like family and even joined in a conversation with others customers about where we were visiting from and local attractions. If you're country...this is your spot. The sign is right on the door frame...cash only.

Good home style food, friendly service, and perfect for something more simple and local than all the other stuff in downtown Gatlinburg. Cash only.

While vacationing with my family (14) we stopped in before heading into Pigeon Forge to try and avoid the rush from the Parkway and the food and service did not dissappoint. The biscuits and gravy leaving nothing to disappoint as the gravy is flavorful and rich. the biscuits are large and just as your would expect from a country breakfast eatery. I will definitely return and then i will try one of the many pies that are offered.

great hole in the wall that makes your feel good for stopping in and the food is great (in a hole in the wall kind of way). The owners go out of their way to engage with you and the locals all say hey. I had a bowl of pinto beans, collard greens and corn bread with a portion of razzleberry pie. my wife had fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. all were home made and great. The only thing that i would change would be to come up with a different recipe and use the same "cat head" size for the cornbread. the place is known for the biscuits but the cornbread should develop the same notoriety.

Food was okay. Service was okay. Was surpprised at checkout about the cash only policy. Missed the sign at door due to hurry to get in out of the rain. Restrooms not convenient to restaurant.
