Went to this bar multiple times while in town on business. They have great prices on a variety of draft beer and the staff is pretty cool. I met the owner/manager who is usually in attendance and likes to mix with his customers and crew. It's obvious he cares about his place and patrons. There are lots of TVs, free pool during the week, and the food was good. They have live bands, karaoke, live poker tourneys, and corn hole games! The atmosphere is awesome! I would go back, and did four times!

Beware the automated directions which take you to 714 W. Emory......which is a ditch under a bridge......though that might just be my phone. This has everything you might expect in a sports bar, and little oddities, like a burlesque show on occasion, and the best in local bands. Why? Because unlike most venues which pay performers in "exposure" (which is as worthless as it sounds), they pay in cashy monies. food as good as any bodega, and a staff and owners who care about what they provide. really....what more could you ask for?

Spicy's used to be excellent when there were different owners, the wings were larger, the prices were better, and the service was much better. My wife, who never complains about her food, was livid the last time we went and refuses to go back. They purposelybtake too long to deliver your food so you'll drink more beer. I prefer Wings Express on Clinton Hwy, same wings, better prices.

Being from out of town we sat at the bar. There were just a few seats for the bartender to take care of. We each had 2 drinks because we were eating else where and drinking more. Paid our check and my wife keeps the stubs to show where we were at on vacation. Going through the tickets afterwards we found she had been charged for 4 margaritas. It was pure and simple done on purpose. I hope the bartender enjoys cheating people.

I have been here several times since moving to TN. Their wings are incredibly small, but very tasty and they have always thrown a few extra wings into the order. The sauces are good. Draft beer selection is ok but limited to mostly domestic stuff. The pizza was recommended to me by a server, but it leaves a lot to be desired. I have had good, friendly service every time I have been in.

Yuppy college type hangout with sub par food. They are adding liquor though so it may start drawing a better crowd.

I just can't get excited about this place. It is okay. I went here because because I was looking for a sports bar in Powell after attending an event in the area on Gameday. I wish someone would have left a review like this: 1.) Their service was good. The server was friendly, answered our group's questions and made recommendations. 2.) Spicy's had very good pricing on their food and the afternoon drink specials were solid as well. However, they need to lose the Mason jars unless its the quart size. If you are getting their regular size beer ask for a regular glass. 3.) The food itself could have been better. The server warned us that the wings were small (and they were), but I wish she had warned us that they were dry wings. They had no heat and are not tossed/sauced there. They have hotter versions like the "atomic" but it was just a dry wing with 2 kinds of hot sauce poured on it. The "Lava" just has one kind of hot sauce on it while the other flavors are just frozen dry wings. I'm not taking a guess, that's what the server told us. The queso was melted Velveeta with black pepper in it or at least that's what it tasted like. They could have at least thrown some jalapenos in it and another kind of cheese so it wasn't so bland. They do offer "Ranch" fries which is fries sprinkled with ranch seasoning. They were pretty tasty. 4.) There are lots of TV's here. However, out of the 20ish TV's in the place we counted only 5 that are HD. They actually have old tube CRT televisions here. There were plenty of seats here because everyone was crowded around the good TV's with the game on. This is important if specifically going to watch a game. Their main screen television is an older projector style but at least its big enough that you can make out the score and doesn't flicker unlike some of the others. 5.) Is this place a sports bar or a family-type place? There doesn't seem to be much of an identity here. They have a good selection of arcade bar games here, but the day I was there it was just children (literally children) on them. Another thing that stood out was no one was drinking. That's really odd at a bar. The table next to us brought their own Diet Mountain Dew to drink. Kids are running around and people are smoking (which I don't think is allowed in restaurants in TN that allow folks under 18). The neon sign outside labels Spicy's as a family place unlike the one that used to be on the strip if they are even affiliated. 6.) Beer selection is not good. They are heavy on major domestics and don't offer a lot outside of that. We settled on Fat Tire. To Summarize: This place has lots of potential especially in an area that offers no competition. Its a good place to meet up for a quick drink but given the choice again I'd choose one of the restaurants down the street.

the bouncers spend the whole night drinking and playing pool but when a fight did break out one of the bouncers actually attacked the lead singer of our band on stage in the middle of a song. lee is a completely incompetent owner.

Great karaoke spot, but that is about it!

Good food and service. Lots of tv's to watch sports. Wings are great. Try the spicy fries, they are hot.

Spicy's is legit They have 'liquor drinks' on the menu now, I guess that means they're getting closer to having them. Welcome to 'The Buckle of the Bible Belt'! It's a fun local bar, nice place to meet up with friends, grab a couple beers (quarts) and relax. Nice TVs (maybe one day they'll put HD on the 73") and games to play. What more do you want/need. Oh, food's not bad either.
