Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

We love this place. It is our go to place for Mexican. Good salsa, good food, large portions and great service. It is large enough to have big groups. We have never left disappointed. Prices are good. Really worth your time and money.

This place was as cheaply remodeled as a place can be, with an extremely plain ambiance. Not a whole lot was done to it since it was a Blockbuster. The menus had dried food inside them and I killed a fruit fly as I was reading it... True story. There was visible dust, and the table was not wiped down well at all. The kicker: they water down their margaritas to make them "two-for-one"... Seriously. The server actually told us that when we told him that they tasted watery. And the "Chile Rellano" was NOT by any means Chile Rellano. Instead, it was a plate of meat with a large halved Chile laying over it, and a little bit of cheese melted on top. I do not know why there was a single car in the parking lot. I have over seven years experience in the restaurant industry, and I truly never complain about restaurants. But this experience was simply terrible, overall.

Average mexican food, nothing special. I got the tres amigos special. Flavorful but could have used more cheese. The salsa was okay a bit chuncky for my taste. Only complaint was we went on a sunday afternoon so we know it was busy. We had a table of 8. We were seated very quickly but the mgr kept hovering around the table bc the rest of our table wasn't there and it was obvious he wasn't happy. Other than that service was fast and food was average.

Average Mexican restaurant that satisfies taste for Mexican good. My friend suggested going here right after the video store closed. Well, we have been back occasionally when we want Mexican in Ooltewah. It's pretty convenient to get to since it is right off one of the main roads here in Ooltewah.

Very good nachos! Wife ordered one of the vegetarian meals and was very satisfied. Left stuffed and happy. Best Mexican food in the Collegedale-Ooltewah area in my opinion.

It was a later Sunday night and my family was looking at trying something local (Southern Burger which was our first choice to try closes early on Sunday) so we tried Tres Amigos. It would have been better for us to get Taco Bell across there street. The Chips and Salsa is immediately how any Mexican restaurant is judged, and judging by this - we weren't in for a good night. The chips were fine, nothing special, but the salsa was nothing short of just cold stewed tomatoes with some red pepper sprinkled in, yuck. No onions, no cilantro, nothing but tomatoes and crushed red pepper. Glad we ordered a side of cheese dip instead. Before I get to our meals let me just say this place has about zero ambiance and feels like a warehouse. The dinners weren't half bad to tell the truth but nothing special. I'm glad a family of 4 could eat for 30 + tip and fill up but after seeing the salsa my mind was a bit suspect of the rest of the meal. What put my tastebuds on halt was the glass of water I had, which tasted like it came out of a bathroom faucet - I sipped it because I had to but at the very least I can report that nearly 24 hours later none of us have been sick, but that's not how you should rate a restaurant. With may other options in Ooltewah this will be my one and only stop here.
