This has to be my LUCKY week! TWO good new finds of local restaurants where the cooks know how to season food, has great service and is close to work (or home). This one is just down the way from the plant I work at. Formally Kilgore's (as well as many other names). A co-worker and I both ordered the daily special, Chicken + Broccoli Casserole (Meat & Three, and soft, fresh roll for $4.99, see photo). I was extremely hesitant as first, but thought I could, at the very least, eat the Three Veggies only. We were delighted when we tasted it. Very good! Not bland or watered down either. The Kitchen know what their are doing! The Glazed Carrots were fresh and yummy, the English Peas were sweet, not canned either, and the Fried Okra was cooked perfectly. Looks like I have a new lunch spot folks!
