There was a night a week or two ago that I had the most annoying craving for wings... ever. I say this because when I used to live in NoVa, there was a Buffalo Wild Wings within a short drive from my house; the nearest here is definitely a trek. Since this place was literally two miles from my house, I thought it was worth a try. Emphasis on the word "thought." I'd gotten 10 boneless wings to go; 5 wet/5 dry. I can't necessarily remember the flavors I'd picked, but the point was less about the flavors and more about how it was prepared: the oil. There was TOO MUCH oil in the sauce. It wasn't even sauce in my opinion. Which is a shame because if the ratios were better, it could've been pretty kickass. Their "sugared" fries were also semi-decent. That's one of their trademarks - I assume - but didn't really deliver for me. I was disappointed overall with the quality of everything; one problem can be overlooked, but several needs to be noted. I'll just have to reserve my wing cravings for the 30 minute drives to BWW instead.

Best hot chicken in Nashville. Real down to earth staff too. Good experience all around.

I'm beginning to think people who gave 5 stars clearly know nothing about hot wings or hot chicken. Ordered both last night and the only thing I have to say is... TERRIBLE!!!! How can you get away with calling those meatless small pathetic all bone pieces of crap wings!? Don't even get me started on the hot chicken. Order Xtra hot didn't even burn me. Barley any drizzles on the bread or the chicken. Meat didn't even taste good. Go to Hattie bees, princes, or pepper fire for people who are not posing and know what they are doing.

I'll start by saying my friends like this place. I do not care for it. They put sugar on the fries, eww. The chicken tenders are a no go. If you like wings, give them a try, but don't say I didn't warn you about the fries.

First time being here, everyone was so friendly and even came over and talked to me a few minutes while I was eating. Very personable! I had ordered to go, but they smelled so good I wanted to try them before I left, and I ended up eating them all right there! Made just the way I asked and were fantastic! My go to is lemon pepper, but this time I got that and then tried the sweet heat, which is now my fave there! Will def be going back!

Best wings in Nashville! The quality of chicken is so much better than Buffalo Wild Wings or Pizza Hut!(traditional or tenders!) their sauces are awesome. Sweet heat is similar to Asian zing, but so much better! If I'm not in the mood for something spicy the lemon pepper is amazing! I always get their ranch as well- definitely made fresh. Sweet tea is A+. Love their fries with a sweet seasoning on top. Their coleslaw is surprisingly REALLY good and made fresh daily. Staff is always nice. So happy to have found this place! The food is made to order and so worth the freshness. May not be the nicest place inside to eat in, but the good is worth it to get it to go.

Very simple decor, which lets everyone focus on the real prize around this joint - the chicken. The fingers are humongous. The sauces offer something for everyone without being too numerous to choose from. And the seasoning on the fries is savory with just the right amount of sweet. Easy in, easy out, tasty eats. I come here almost every time I'm in the area.

Just had to make a review... thinking about hot wings! Lol! Anyways I've been here numerous times and it's always good here! I always get wings covered in hot and sweet heat. Yum! Perfect combination, along with what I like to call their "sugar fries" soooo addicting! There are various sauces you can choose from depending on your tastes. Ranch is great and creamy at an additional cost! Daily specials from Monday-Thursday! With Monday night as traditional wing night and Wednesdays, boneless wings... my bf's personal favorite! I have seen their chicken tenders and man they are huge! Staff here are quite obnoxious in ways due to a well known team goofing around and working the evening shifts of all the times I've been here but nonetheless that does not seem to bother me, they are humans! I just come here for the wings and fries! Their drink area could use a little more cleaning, it's always sticky when I come here and their tables too. All you do is just leave your trash of food behind and the employees come pick and clean it up afterwards. Overall, great wings and fries, my favorite!

Food: meh. Ambience: meh. Service. meh. In a pinch for some wings on a Monday? Grab some of these forty-nine cent special wings! The chicken fingers were not good in terms of texture and the "nuggets" were just cut up pieces. The Mild and Medium sauces are just okay. The fries have sugar on them and I didn't care for that at all!

I love Wingbasket much more than Wing Stop. I've seen some pretty discouraging reviews and I'm really not sure why. It's a chicken wing joint. The fries are dope (yes they're sugared, but I dug it immediately), and the available sauces are wonderfully savory. The ace in the hole here is the fact that they have hot chicken. Quite honestly, I think it's their best kept secret as it is mad hot, rivaling Prince's. That makes the southside's second hot chicken joint. If you're into hot chicken, definitely give this joint a shot.

The Staff was really really nice. Keep up the great work. First time there, ordered the hot, and they were perfectly hot, just the right bite in spice. I like things hot, but not too hot. If you eat 3-4 in row, you'll get that nice burn. They actually made a mistake and dropped a few more wings in my order and told me it was my lucky day, and it sure was, I could not stop eating them. I will be back. Hope the wings are consistent. And those who did not like, they are wings, not steak. They are good.

  • Bryan B.

I like their wings. I think that this place is as good as BWW's and cheaper. I got a 20 piece boneless. The Kentucky Bourbon flavor is good if u like sweet. Unless you just really really like ultra spicy do not try the son of tnt or tnt. I would go with classic hot.

Honestly, has anybody found a wing place so unique that it blows everything else out of the water? (If so, message me please) You got Buffalo Wild Wings and every other local wing place. They all pretty much have the same fried wings and 20 or so flavors. So when it comes to wing places, it's NOT about how unique they are (b/c they're not); it's about how well they can execute their food. The wings are cooked to order, so they're not fast. Unless you're at Chili's or Applebee's, where they have your wings pre-cooked and frozen, you should expect to wait a little bit for your wings to come to you. They also offer a Hot Chicken that's comparable to Prince's or Bolton's. One thing I've learned about Hot Chicken in Nashville is that they're always in sketchy locations. Wing Basket is the least sketchy of all Hot Chicken joints. The service is pleasant and worth the trip.

I do love their wings. I am usually just get two flavors. The Lemon Pepper & the Garlic Parmesan. I always get great service from whomever is working in the restaurant. I did not give five stars because sometimes the chicken is too greasy and doesnt have any flavor. This is not every time I go but just happened on a few occasions.

We have been to the Wing Basket on Nolensville several times now and have been very satisfied with the food and the service every time. Everything is cooked and prepared to order so you do wait a little bit but it is worth it. When I want them for carry out, I call ahead and they are ready when I get there. We have only eaten the wings (several flavors - lemon pepper is the best!!) and celery/carrots and dressing. The people who work in the kitchen and behind the counter are super friendly! We took a large group in last night and everyone enjoyed the food and kept commenting on how nice the employees were. As mentioned in another review, the chicken "fingers" are actually "planks!" Wow! They are huge! We took a lot of leftovers home with us! I did taste a couple of the french fries from someone's order at my table and do not care for the sugar that is part of the seasoning but I don't like sugar so you can't really judge by that. It is a salty/sweet seasoning. Interesting! Try for yourself!! You won't be disappointed if you like non-breaded wings!!

each visit seems to get worse. their wings are "OK" nothing special. just another wing place, i think the last visit was on a friday, after lunch. i know there are NO specials on friday. but i thought i'd stop in to the MADISON location while in the McHenry Shopping Center. the owners insist on working themselves. the woman at the counter told me 10 minutes. a group of 3 in front of me. ok. i took my wares to my car and came back inside. sat on the bench. while waiting, there must have been 15-20 people come in for late lunch. she told them all 10 minutes. the old man in the back and another lady were cooking. NO SENSE OF URGENCY while the orders stacked up. moved slower than a freight train while you're waiting. Finally, 25 minutes later, my SIMPLE order of ONLY 10 wings, mild, were ready. REALLY ?!!! cooking each order one at a time............. if you go for lunch, plan on spending half your lunch hour waiting on your food. BWW is run like a corporate restaurant. and for lunch, that is a plus. it will be awhile before i give my hard earned $$ back to WingBasket.

Great wings; large portions and great service! My only drawback is there isn't a location anywhere near west or central Nashville (hence the 4 star rating). Other than that... They're the best we've had since living in Nashville (1.3 years)!

I don't care at all about wings, but I love this place's tenders. On Tuesdays they're only 99 cents each. I come here every Tuesday from work, and if I didn't work nearby I would probably drive. The tenders are huge, delicious, and come with a variety of tantalizing sauces. The Kentucky Bourbon is pretty good, but I prefer the Sweet BBQ.

I went to Wingbasket for the first time yesterday, and although the decor of this "strip mall" store front is nothing to shout about, their wings are scrumptious! Lemon Pepper Wingbasket wings have that wonderful citrus-ly zing and that spice that gives your mouth that kick you crave. Plus they are crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I can't stand a soggy wing or and hard overcooked wing. These were perfection in a box! I ordered 10, but really... I could have eaten 30 of those bad boys in one sitting. BUT it isn't all about the wings! I've been searching for a place that can pair good wings with a basket of crispy, perfectly seasoned fries since I moved to Nashville. I have had order after order of the most disappointing fries in this area, and unfortunately, I did not enjoy the fries from Wingbasket. I didn't even finish eating them. The reviews of their sweet and salty fries did intrigue me, so I did know ahead of time. But my fries were soggy, greasy, and way too sweet. My husband's fingers were slick and shiny after diving into his fries. Seems he couldn't find a napkin fast enough. We also tried their hot chicken, and it was so dry on the inside that I couldn't finish that either. Lastly- the infamous chicken tenders. THEY WERE HUGE! And so juicy and delicious! WOW! If only their hot chicken had that moistness! ANYWAY! The staff was friendly and were all smiles. (I kinda thought the cook in the back was cute, but didn't say so... lol) And they were pretty busy, so that shows how popular they are in the area. In conclusion- Essay- I am giving Wingbasket 3 stars because their wings and their chicken tenders were off the charts delicious! I will definitely be going back! But I couldn't stomach their fries or dry hot chicken.

I wanted to like Wing Basket a lot more than I did. The guy behind the counter was very nice and answered all of our questions, so bonus there. Maybe it was because we had been going around and having lots of other wings at lots of other places though, these just turned out to be.. well.. bland. It does seem like they do a great lunch business, and we didn't have to wait too long for our order. There is also ample parking, and a good deal of room inside to sit down but overall I just didn't taste much in the way of Oomph from these wings. (I had the Honey Mustard & Jack Daniel sauces) One other thing on the plus side, they apparently bus the tables for you. We looked (rather awkwardly) for a trash can on the "Customer" side of things and the only one we could find was outside. So overall I give this place an A-OK because the service was good, but for the wings, unless I just got the WRONG sauces just didn't seem to have much in the way of taste.

I really like Wingbasket. It's close to my apartment, it's cheap, consistent and delicious. Everything is made to order so if you are in a hurry I would call in your order ahead of time. I have tried the wings and the chicken fingers. You should know that the chicken fingers are huge. I usually get 3 and take the other 1.5 as lunch the next day. And bonus they are $1.25 on Tuesdays. The wings are perfectly cooked to a delicious crisp and still juicy on the inside. I have tried several of their sauces and I like the sweet heat the best. Its just awesome. One huge bonus is the french fries. They are fresh and have a seasoning that has sugar in it. We call them sugar fries and they are just wrong. Its the combo of sweet and salty that dreams are made of. Get the sugar fries. The staff is super friendly and always willing to answer any questions and give suggestions on what to try.

When I lived in Texas my friends took me to Wing Stop. I loved it. Since moving to Nashville, I've been looking for a good wing place and Wingbasket is solid. The food is prepared the same as Wing Stop. I work right around the corner so it's an easy go-to for lunch. I've been there more times than I've checked in and each time the wings have been consistent. You're going to wait at least 10 minutes to get your food. It takes at least that long to cook up wings. The fries do have sugar on them, but they grew on me and I now really enjoy them. Ranch is an extra 69 cents, but it's enough for 10 wings. All in all, this place is great. I would give it 4.5 stars. Try the Garlic Parmesan!

each visit seems to get worse. their wings are "OK" nothing special. just another wing place, i think the last visit was on a friday, after lunch. i know there are NO specials on friday. but i thought i'd stop in to the MADISON location while in the McHenry Shopping Center. the owners insist on working themselves. the woman at the counter told me 10 minutes. a group of 3 in front of me. ok. i took my wares to my car and came back inside. sat on the bench. while waiting, there must have been 15-20 people come in for late lunch. she told them all 10 minutes. the old man in the back and another lady were cooking.
