FUN FUN FUN! How can you go wrong with free video/arcade games, shuffleboard, Jumbo Jenga (tumbling towers as they call it), and music videos playing on huge TV screens along with the music? Our bar tender was great and turned us on to a new sugar free, strawberry-infused whiskey! Prices were pretty decent and the crowd was friendly and fun. This seemed like the hot spot and place to be in Nashville on a Saturday night! Made for some great pics and memories for my first time in Nashville! We will be back next time we are in town.

Solid, but I have a few reservations. First off, my experience differs from your average cool Nashville cat as I went for lunch, on a Sunday, with a teenager and a baby. For the time we went, with the sparse crowd - the game amount was absolutely fine. About 8ish arcade games and 3 or 4 TV's you can hook up to those new fangled xbox one's and PS 4's (among other retro options, like NES and Sega). The teenager with us dug playing some NBA14 and his wings ($10). I enjoyed a rousing game of Connect 4 with a friend, which I could participate in with a baby in my lap. My ham and apple slaw sandwich ($8) was really good, the fries were just okay IMO, but my 9 month old loved them. I really really dig that the games are free. The beer prices make up for that in the business model I think. Everything is about .50 cents to $1.50 overpriced, which is totally fine. I just fear once the place gets busy and the fun games are taken up - you are just left with overpriced beer and no games? My friend Jen noted her disappointment with the loudish 'sportsball' games on 3 or so of the televisions - she feels it subtracted from the fun 80's retro feel of the place. But I mean, its Sunday in the South. I sort of expect that most places, especially Demonbreun. She made a valid point though. Our service was wonderful, very attentive and seemed cool with the families taking up shop for a little longer than average. I am curious about the model as you know the table turn around will be slow with the games available. All in all, my recommendation is to make this a daytime early spot. You'll have a better chance of getting a shot at the Donkey Kong Jr. machine or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Nintendo, so have a Bloody Mary or pint and enjoy lunch! Last note, I loved the Mario and Princess on the bathroom doors. More geeky theme decor would be appreciated I think!

What is better than a bar that has free video games?!! Very cool concept bar with surprisingly good food! Their feta fries are so delicious!! Their burger was pretty good! The only drawback that I've seen so far for this bar is the clientele it attracts! Maybe I've just hit it on bad nights but there's been loud obnoxious drunk groups the few times I've been.

I would not call Two Bits as much as bar as an emporium of all that is good in life. Walking into this garage style emporium of all that is good, I immediately saw two grown men playing Jumbo Jenga- the classic sign of good times ahead. I think my head nearly exploded when I walked into this place. I've heard great things about Two bits... but really, you cannot capture how incredible this place is (well I will because Im THAT good). Two Bits transported me back to a better time...a time when trouble shooting your video game meant blowing on the cartridge. It was like being a 10 year old kid again.. but better yet.. this ecstatic 10 year old kid could play Galaga while drinking a Tennessee Brew Works IPA-legally. Life don't get better then that folks. TKO. Foreal. I think I almost died when I saw their console selection. Super Nintendo, N64, Xbox... blah blah the new ones that I could care less about. (I bet they even have that complete failure of a gaming system- Sega Dreamcast). Anyway, let me tell you about the games. They have your classics- Mario Bros, mario kart, smash brothers, andddd GOLDEN EYE. AND ITS FREE. I came with a few guy friends and they choose to play shuffle board.. but everyone in the fun emporium is super friendly so I had no problem scooting up to some strangers in a booth and starting up a game of Mario Kart with them. (Of note, Two Bits has an interesting mash up of characters. There is a mix of young professionals with your occasional college student types. But as any place that carries classic video game consoles... well, lets just say I had some run ins where you can imagine the scenario would be captured by NATURE or National Geographic... First Encounters of the Female Kind). Anyway, back on track (if you are still reading)... Games: Classic Arcade- Galaga, Pacman, Hunter 2, NFL Blitz, WHERE IS TEKKEN?!?!?!, A bunch of board games Games Needed: Skee ball, TEKKEN Beer: Such a solid solid collection. All your classic TN brews: Yazoo, Mayday, calfkiller, TN brew works... Happy hour specials from 2-7 where you get $1 off drafts or get $3 Coors Banquet/Miller Light. I have to do a particular acknowledgment at how awesome their Bar team is. I met CAS tonight and he was so great. We talked quite a bit about the brew scene in Nashville and he was so helpful in regards to educating me more about brews. Events: Tuesday night is BINGO. I cannot possibly be more excited about that (I am completely being honest). Wednesday night is trivia hosted by Nerdy Talk who I hear is a hilarious woman. I thought that meant trivia was all nerd trivia-- its not..but if it were.. I would win. BEER CLUB--- This is a new program that they are rolling out at Two Bits. Essentially you get a passport of 39 beers (physical book where you get stamps). If you try all 39 (no more then 3 stamps per visit) you can attain ETERNAL GLORY on the Two bits wall with your name and a personalized Stein. I have always identified myself as a high achiever and ETERNAL GLORY is something I strive for.. so clearly you WILL see Chalupa Batman on that wall. Overall, I will be back. As a regular.

Are you judging this place before going because it's on Demonbreun? Don't worry, you're right. As a lifelong arcade lover, I was really excited about this concept. It still is a great concept and I'm sure there are amazing barcades out there, but this is just a BROcade. First of all, the actual arcade games are thrown in the back and there weren't even that many. I heard about the booths where you could rent your own console to play, but there only a few of these and the TVs were across the wall so don't expect real playing because you'll be too distracted by all the people hanging between your booth and TV. Also, this place is cramped and the worst space to have games. So there's that. There are a few board games at the front, but the selection seemed like a second thought from the owners. Basically, this is any other bar downtown that just happens to have random games. They have Off Road, which was the best thing going for them. And as much as I love Ms. Pac Man and Galaga, you're better off finding these games at a laundromat to play.

I thought it was going to be an arcade with drinks but it's definitely more of a bar with some games. The machines are in the back along the skinniest part of the establishment. It's the old Mirko, if that helps. Disclaimer: I do not hang out on Demonbreun because I'm not 21, so. It took the idea of an arcade with free games to get me to Demonbreun. Am I glad I went? Of course! Will I only go during the week or for an early Friday happy hour? You can bet your bottom dollar! This isn't because the place is bad, it's because of the disclaimer above. It's just not my "scene." The Lowdown: They have one arcade game that has about 30 of the classics. Street Fighter, Burger Time, Bubble Bobble, etc. They have a DK, Jr machine, a sit down Ms. Pac-Man/Galatica, and finally and 4th machine that I can't remember what it is. Sorry! Beyond that, there are two to three booths in the back with video game consoles and large, flat screen TVs. I saw a Sega, Nintendo 64, maybe a cube? I know for a fact one couple was playing GoldenEye. The front is filled with flat tops and they other board games as well. Just like Pinewood Social you need to put your name on a list and be seated by a hostess. This I can handle, it makes it fair. The takeaway: Arrive early players!! Please remember to bring your game face and your patience.

I was a little worried when I came in the doors and found a chalkboard used to keep track of the people waiting on tables. I personally could barely read this thing, and it seemed to be a total mess. The novelty does not make up for that this system simply doesn't work. Thankfully, first impressions aren't everything. The food is tasty and pretty well-priced; we enjoyed the feta fries and the ham sandwich, the latter of which in particular packed a lot of flavor. The beer list was also pretty impressive and reasonably priced. The service was not necessarily blazing fast to begin with, but I am willing to cut them some slack this time since it was still pretty close to opening night. The staff was at least very friendly so I imagine the level of service will complement the food soon enough. The real reason you go here, of course, is the games. The selection could be a little broader (we ended up playing Scrabble), but even playing "Go Fish" in a bar setting is a blast. I'd say this little place has promise in becoming a real Nashville institution.

Before I say anything else, I must say the food was excellent. However, the rest of the experience results in the poor rating. The service was non-existent until I tracked down a server after we'd been seated for at least 5 minutes (it wasn't busy at all). Then the environment. Oh boy. They're going for an old-school video game theme, which is fun, & they have lots of classic board games you can play. But they had bad (modern) videos going on the tvs. Seems like retro 80s videos would have matched the video games. Instead, I had to watch & listen to twerking, gyrating, & other stupidity. When I asked to have one (of the 5) tvs aimed at me to the football game, the server said "no problem," but it never happened. It's a bar, but the food got my hopes up that the experience would be better. Nope.

I gave it 3 stars because the whole idea of the bar is cool. So you can eat food and drink and play games like monopoly, sorry, jenga and other games. The only things is the chicken wings I ordered were mostly batter and very little chicken. The sauce on them was good. They have a ton of beer for people who like beer.

Awesome. Mac and cheese was good and mussels were to die for and the amount that you'd get per dollar was also great! Bartenders were super nice and friendly and the service was swift... Not to mention all of the free games! My friend and I got there around 9 on a Saturday and only the bar and last 3 arcade games in the back were open. Got pretty busy when we left but honestly such a good atmosphere. I had only been in a beer-cade in Chicago and this place had less games but a wider variety of things to do including board games and a real food menu. They stop serving dinner at 11pm too, which is convenient if you're going out and are hungry or want to have some decently priced drinks during your meal.

This place is a lot of fun. I mean, who wouldn't have fun here with all the board games available. The food is excellent as well. We had waffle fries and Tofu Bahn Mi. Although I would prefer a thinner piece tofu, the food is excellent. The waffle fries is thin and crisp, just the way I like.

I like this place! It's cool! My boyfriend and I wandered in on a Sunday night around 6, just looking for something different. It wasn't very crowded and there was some pretty decent music and videos playing. The menu wasn't very extensive and it was kind of difficult for me to find something healthy/vegetarian. I ended up getting the quinoa tabbouleh. Now granted, I had only had quinoa once prior to this dish but geez, this was not good. The tabbouleh gave it a nice, fresh taste but the quinoa was so hard and grainy it was like eating very flavorful sand. I should have sent it back and I didn't so that was my fault. I'm not afraid to speak up when I don't like something but since I had only had quinoa once before, I wasn't sure if it was cooked wrong or if I just didn't like it. Either way, I probably should have said something. Oh well. My boyfriend's burger and fries were great. After we ate we went to the back where he proceeded to play some shooting game and I played Ms. Pacman until I worked up a sweat! I would have loved to play Jenga with the over sized set outside on the patio but it was too hot for all that. I'd gladly come back anytime someone else wants to.

Stopped in because our hotel was close and it's highly rated on Yelp. It was very quiet, small place with a bar, tables, and booths plus a bunch of free 80's video games. The food was excellent! We tried the fried chicken sandwich with tots, stout pot roast, feta cheese fries, and brats over zucchini mashed potatoes. Everything was REALLY good! Unique dishes with a modern twist. Must try the feta cheese fries! Home-cut fries topped with a white cheese sauce, feta cheese and chopped green onions. They have a really good selection of Nashville local microbrew beers.

I must say I wasn't a very big fan of the whole "seat yourself" concept when they also take reservations. It was confusing for us and I saw other confused people as well. I got the grilled chicken arugula salad (can't remember the exact name). It had GREAT flavor, which is about the only reason they're getting 3 stars, but it was small and very simple compared to other places. Tasted my husbands fries, too. Not sure what kinda oil they were cooked in, but we both agreed the flavor was... odd. So the overall question...would I go back? Honestly not sure. The atmosphere was a bit of a let down, but I can't quite place my finger on what was off.

Cool 90's theme and the signature burger tasted pretty good. My only issue with this place was that it smelled like stale beer. Kind of like the morning after a wild house party. So maybe some better floor cleaning would solve that issue. Overall I enjoyed it.

I am IN LOVE with this place. I went last Sunday for the Star Wars themed Bonnaroo Brunch (May 4th, of course). When I first walked in, I was instantly impressed by the atmosphere. It's like the coolest kid you've ever met and your video gaming little brother got together and created a masterpiece. The food and brunch drinks were top notch, the game selection was awesome and oh and did I mention that all of the games are free to play? Yep, that's right... FREE. I would say go NOW, but don't because I want this place all to myself. haha. Ok, ok, you can go.

This place is the WORST! I had dinner here Friday night, and Saturday they kept ringing in ticket items and transacting business on my credit card even though I was not even in the state of Tennessee!!! My tab should have been closed Friday night when I left, but they continued to charge items to it into Saturday! When I called to get this resolved I was treated very rudely, and ultimately got NO WHERE with the staff. I was promised by several employees, including the general manager, that they would return the charge to me. They NEVER did! I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get these charges reversed. DO NOT use a credit card at this place! If they mess up, they take no responsibility in fixing the issue and they do NOT resolve any issues! Plus, if you call to get it fixed, they will basically call you annoying, degrade you, and refuse to help you because they don't want to actually take responsibility for their mistakes. It took THREE DAYS to reach anybody to even remotely try to HELP resolve the situation. PLUS - the food was really not that great. It was very bland and non-impressive. There are hundreds of better places to go in Nashville.

I wasn't really impressed. The food wasn't too bad but nothing to write home about. The bar tender was really nice but the service was aweful. The server that brought our food dropped it off without a word and wouldn't even respond when my husband spoke to her to ask for silverware condiments and an plate so we could share. He actually caught a guy coming out of the kitchen to get help. Fish and chips were soggy. Tots were just ok.

Went for Happy Hour on a Friday after work. This was my first time, so I was totally unfamiliar with the deals, the food, the games, etc. The staff was super friendly. Encountered multiple staff members from bartender on down and everybody was friendly and cool. Drinks were great, and well priced. The food was pretty decent for happy hour bar food! The price for food during HH is super cheap. Important to note that not ALL food is discounted. The games are free! And fun! This is a great place to pop into for a couple drinks, and it also looks like it'd be a great place to set up shop and get drunk in. My only complaint is that I wish there were MORE games.

This place is great if you want to hang out with some friends. I was here for a few hours and played video games. I thought their beer selection was pretty good. From the menu I just had the wings. Service was a bit strange our waitress kept forgetting what we wanted, she was quite relaxed. I am giving it a 4 star based on their beer and the atmosphere--it was pretty laid back and fun.

This bar made my weekend! Best suggestion for weekend fun I've ever gotten. Great selection of games to play - free! Great beer selection (I signed up for my passport so I can earn GLORY!) They probably have food - like when I was a kid, I forgot to eat because of all the fun!

Every time we come here the service is slow and the service station is yet chatty. It took 10 minutes before I asked if we could get a drink. Nobody seemed to know what server had our table. The beer menu was not updated so we had to go through four choices before receiving. The server was not knowledgable about what beer was offered. We haven't eaten here before, no desire to.

Awesome atmosphere! Love the art work on the walls of Pac-Man and the Atari logo. The bartender was very nice and friendly and also very knowledgeable about there beer selection and was able to pick the best beer for you! Not too expensive for the location it's in.

This place is a hidden gem on a street full of rowdy clubs and bars often riddled with the undergraduate crowd. The food was surprising delicious--I was expecting your run of the mill pub food, but our table ordered bacon popcorn (delicious. Bacon, need I say more?) Cajun tots (PACKED full of spices and flavor, be aware that it's spicy) and the waffle chips, which are homemade dipped in their house ranch, which also has a unique but great flavor. I also got to try the shrimp and grits and that was very rich and filling, full of flavor. Besides the delicious food, you have to check out what makes this bar different from others--the board games, old school arcade games, shuffle board, and Nintendo video games--all free!! What could be more perfect than showing up during happy hour to grab their half price snacks and channeling the inner kid inside us all?

Went here the other night..Overall, I was impressed enough to return..Granted it was their third night open, so early reviews like this are not necessarily the end all, be all.. The place was very crowded..it took us about twenty minutes to get seated. The design is pretty nice, alot of wood paneling, which seems to be the trend with new establishments in Nashville..Tvs line the wall, half of which are playing music videos from the Mtv golden days(89 to 96 in case you were wondering)..this actually became quite a source of entertainment and is cleverly aimed at the majority of the crowd's age group..that being said the crowd was a strange mix of hipsters, demonbreun yuppies, and video game nerds.. The remainder of the tvs are hooked up to consoles ranging from the OG nintendo to xbox 360..You rent the consoles and the games are played from the booth you are sitting at..One downfall is that you are at the mercy of the games assigned to your table, and our booth couldn't help but feel our selection wasn't as good as the table next to us..this could be a hitch in the future, as people catch wind of this set up and start requesting/hogging specific booths, and potentially switching tables and messing up the servers' sections.. Lining the seating areas are old school arcade games ranging from the lowly pacman to madden 2000..this makes for great drinking entertainment! It also makes for crowded paths and the inevitable video game related bar fight..The selection is pretty good though and since the games are free, the atmosphere remains light hearted. Also available are classic board games that can be brought to the table..Connect four, jenga, monopoIy, etc. I highly reccommend this most likely overlooked bonus. Our server was great but a little overwhelmed..she was very nice and on point until the bar got crowded..Towards the end of the night I was having to reorder the same drink multiple times to get it to the table.. They have a great draft selection(20 plus), many of which are local, and prices are the average five to six for a pint..They also have well thought out cocktails in an attempt to compete with the mixed drink trend surge brought on by such places as the Patterson house.. I didn't order any but they looked quality.. The size was a little small for a ten to twelve dollar drink. The only true downfall in my opinion was the food..the menu is a slightly scattered mix of veg friendly cuisine, bar food, and haute dishes..the burger i got was not seasoned, although the ingredients seemed fresh..the fries had an off taste, most likely due to dirty fryer oil. For twelve bucks I was let down..like i said however, on day three of operation, a food review is typically useless.. The fried cheese however was the shiznit. All in all this a great addition to the a city with an absent barcade scene.. It's also a nice oasis from the rest of the surrounding bars that manage to somehow nail pretentious and trashy in one fell swoop. --------------------------------------------------Â----------------- On a final note to any employees reading this: You guys could make a killing hosting a call of duty or some other extremely popular game tourney on one of your slow nights.. In fact, I imagine just offering Call of Duty would double your revenue..Imagine how many people would be thrilled to drink and play that game with strangers and show their prowess in a public forum. As long as no one got their ass kicked for "being a camper".

Great atmosphere and concept. I was there as a member of a birthday party on a Saturday night. We had a reserved booth with one of the gaming consoles. The one we had was capable of playing SEGA Genesis, NES, and SNES games. You can get a bucket of different games by letting them hold your ID until the games are turned back in. The rest of the video arcade games are all free, so no need to bring your quarters! Food wise, being a vegetarian I had the veatloaf which was very tasty! One of the best I've had outside of a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. I also ordered some of the fried pickles. They were good but a little too salty. Overall the service we experienced was great! My only complaint and this is a minor one, as the night went on the music got louder. Almost too loud. I would definitely go back though!

New trendy spot with good beer selection & and a diverse menu that is far from bar food offering traditional southern dishes like a Shrimp PoBoy & vegan dishes like tofu & veatloaf. Not sure I would come back only because it is very much about the diverse collection of games they have from old school games like PacMan to board games.

This was a really fun place. The menu looked pretty good, but I didn't get a chance to try it because we went somewhere else. The bartenders were both quite friendly, and gave us a lot of good information about where to explore for the one night that we spent in town.

We were on our way to another place and just happened to stop in here. So glad we did! Sammy, who just happens to be the GM, took such great care of us. I ordered a beer flight and told him to surprise me with the choices. I enjoyed them all. We were just kind of snacking so we shared the lamb neck tacos which were FANTASTIC and a plate of flash fried chilis sprinkled with sea salt that I could eat all day long. The games, the people, the service, the drinks - it's all really good. We walked around town for a while and ended up coming back for more. I would SO be a regular here!!!

I would probably be able to give this place a better review had I actually received service. Went there this afternoon (4 o'clockish) with the goal of cocktails and appetizers. Sat down at the bar where the two people behind the bar both made eye contact with us multiple times - however we never got a greeting, menu, or even acknowledgement that we were there. They proceeded to take another order from people who sat down after us, and it was very confusing. I definitely won't be making a point to come here probably ever again.

We were recently in Nashville on vacation and wondered in to Two Bits. Thank goodness we did! The feta fries were AMAZING and the atmosphere was fun. The first time we went there we played Cards for Humanity while we had a few appetizers and had a blast. The next trip we discovered the video games and were there for a few hours. If you're looking for something a little bit different I suggest checking this place out. The staff was awesome. We'll be back next year.

We went to a Yazoo/Two Bits beer pairing dinner. We showed up and said we were vegan and could they accommodate us and YES they could. We had a 3 course dinner that we will totally return for. It was excellent, from start to finish. Great service from Rachel and fun all around with Neil McCormick from Yazoo. If they do this again, don't miss it. We are going to be regulars at Two Bits going forward.

Good food, good beer and free old school arcade games. Service is a bit slow, but they've only been open a few days, and I'm sure it will get better. All around solid place for happy hour or a night out with friends. We'll be back for sure.

This is for sure one of my favorite bar atmospheres in Nashville. Parking is almost impossible in this area so I suggest a cab or an Uber/Lyft. They have an outdoor patio area, a bar area, and many large comfortable booths lining the walls. They have a pretty good local beer selection but some of the local breweries are priced a little on a the high end. The menu had some very interesting selections consisting of traditional bar fare and some more elevated options. I was very disappointed in the bacon popcorn. Service was a little bit suspect as it took us 15 minutes to get waited on at our table and multiple servers passed us multiple times, but after we got one's attention we were well taken care of. The best part about Two Bits is the concept, they offer multiple old school arcade games, video game consoles, traditional board games, and shuffle board to play during your visit for free. I observed multiple games such as Mario Kart and Street Fighter being played on large screens fixed high up on the walls. I've never seen another bar with this type of concept so I would consider it to be a Nashville Original. I can't wait to go back and play some more! This place is somewhere were adults can tap into their inter kid and also experience some childhood nostalgia with classic video games.

Very different kind of bar. Not into the video games thing but an interesting concept. Server with the British accent was very bubbly and good fun - also very proficient and earned every penny of the tip. Food could have been very good but seems everything fried in the same old oil (my fried cHicken in the sandwich tasted the same as the fish in the fish and chips my wife had). Change the oil and we wil be back......

Shuffleboard fans will enjoy sliding their pucks down the Lucky 13-foot long wooden shuffleboard table at this new alcohol-infused gameroom. Its fun to slide and knock your friends pucks off the board to score your own top points! The bartender can pour lots of beer suds or pop the top on a PBR in a can. Old time games like Mrs Pacman and Galaga and Space Invaders are now free. Fun games on the interactive TVs let me play from my table also. Game systems like Playstation and Xbox are also free. Shuffleboard is Two Bits times 2 (50 cents is fair). Chess and other board games are there also. Two Bits bar is for sure the classiest game arcade in middle Tennessee and I LIKE IT!!

This new little spot is awesome. They have an arcade area with free games. Everything from Ms Pacman, to original Nintendo, and shuffleboard to connect 4. In addition, this place has a solid draft beer selection, as well as a formidable whiskey selection. The food was too notch, I had a vegan meatloaf. I was skeptical, but the waitress supported my decision and I'm glad she did because it was awesome. Highly recommended.

I don't even know where to start! This place is new so the kinks are still being worked out...but there are things that won't change. When reading about this place it sounds like a "barcade" which it is not. It is a bar. A themed bar. Slapping old video game posters on the wall and having 3 arcade games in the back doesn't constitute as a barcade. They make it sound like every table (booth) will have a Nintendo...but there are a max of maybe 4 booths. MAYBE. If you don't reserve the booths or get there when they open, there's no reason to even go. People stay for HOURS on both the Nintendo's and what little arcade games they have. Most people have to sit at cramped tables playing Jenga and eating lack luster appetizers. I can sit at a cramped table in my dining room and play games in my pajama's for free. I can also buy a Nintendo off Craigslist for cheaper than what it costs to park. I guess I can't stress enough that this is just another hipster bar that probably won't be open in a year. It is also not family friendly. If you're wanting to play games, go to Dave & Buster's. If you want good food and decently priced drinks, go to a good restaurant. You can't have either at Two Bits.

New concepts in a town like Nashville, can either make or break a restaurant. But what Two Bits has is a recipe for success. It was packed even on a Tuesday night, so we took the table by the door and were greeted before we even got our bearings. The server Tawny was great and played along with my typical bring me your favorite beer game with aplomb. She was running her butt off but was always swinging by the check on us. Had a few rounds of apps and drinks over the night and stayed quite a while. I can see why this place is always packed. The food was pretty great a 4 out of 5, with the price being high but no higher than you would expect at a trendy bar. The games were few, but fun and best of all free. Overall I would give the place a 4 if it wasn't for Tawny's excellent service, and also the potential I can see for it. Hopefully it expands to a bigger location with more seating and games, but if that causes this place to lose its charm, don't dare move it.

Unfortunately, I can't review the food because we never got a chance to eat. After standing around for over an hour waiting for a table. The little chalkboard "system" - I use the term VERY loosely - is a total disaster and waste of time. The real "system" is lurking behind someone who does have a table and praying that they leave so you can snag it, regardless of where your name is on the chalkboard. It was total chaos, a complete mess. We heard from several diners who said they grabbed a table more than a hour earlier and their names were still on the chalkboard. People just grab tables as they can, as is the case in most bars. Take the stupid chalkboard down. If all tables are full, you're going to be waiting a very long time. People seem to be taking advantage of the board games that are available, which is good, but it means table turnover is almost non-existent. Also, the arcade games are just kind of crammed into a small hallway in the back. There's no room to play them. It's just another bar. With games. Maybe I'd think differently if I'd been able to try the food. No such luck.

Local craft beer. Free video games. What else do I need to say!?!? Freaking awesome!!!!!

The food was fine and the fact that there are free arcade machines to play was really cool. But I really felt like the video game theme could have been taken further. There was a couple of small video game murals... And that was about it. No video game related glasses, furniture, music, or anything else. I will say, one thing that kinda pissed me off was the Mario on the men's bathroom door and the Peach on the ladies bathroom door. The Mario was plain jane Mario. All well and good right? Well here is where we hit the problem. The Princess Peach on the ladies room... It's the Paper Mario version. GET YOUR CRAP TOGETHER TWO BITS! This is some half thought out design right here. Pick one style and use it for both.

I have only been here for brunch and admittedly need to go back and give it another chance. Pros: $2 mimosas; creative menu; bevy of games Cons: can get crowded for brunch; french toast came out cold Having worked as a server for a number of years, I try to refrain from ever sending food back. That being said, I was disappointed with Donatello's Toast and the Badass Brunch Special.

Had a great time here because of the games. The margarita pitcher was not that great. I got a burger and the patty was bleeding. Waitress was great. Got me another one and didn't charge for either burger. This place (and surrounding places) was rocking to get there early for a table. Overall, our group had a great time. The board games made it all worth it. Oh! And free video games!!! But they didn't all work.

I went to Two Bits (Not to be confused by the similarly named "Two Boots" to celebrate a friend's birthday. We showed up at 18h30 when it was not busy at all. Beer selection was plentiful. I love how they come in glasses that are shaped like beer cans. We ordered a full selection of their appetizers. I was fortunate to be able to try most of their apps and a few entrees as well! I ordered a rueben sandwich and another friend ordered fish and chips. Appetizers tried: Tempura Pickles Rock Shrimp Steam Buns Szechwan Wings Curry Cauliflower Entrees tried: Rueben Fish and chips Mac & Cheese Tempura Pickles: Taste like fried pickles - Its a Pickle spear thats been fried. Good taste Rock Shrimp Steam Buns: It looks like a pillowy soft taco with shrimp and other ingredients in it. Very good taste! Szechwan Wings: Really flavorful wings that are mildly spicy Curry Cauliflower: One of my favorite apps. Love the curry flavor. Looking for an online recipe. My Rueben was very good. Its always hit or miss with rueben. I like it when its sliced really thin. There was a little bit of spice in the sandwich which gave it a unique flavor. If you are not a fan of spice, do not get it. The menu does semi warn you about it - in the ingredient list. The Fish and chips: the fish was probably one of the best tasting fried fish I have ever eaten. And I've been to England. Twice. The Mac & cheese: Was delicious. My friends noted that it was a little "sandy". I guess it had a little too much cornmeal or whatever in it. All in all a wonderful dinner and lovely atmosphere. I never even tried the games but everyone looked like they were having fun. I asked if they had an original NES and the bartender said it was difficult to have that because of the rarity of it or something. But the games they do have are great. They even have a selection of board games! A fun night out. I recommend.

Went here to wait on a friend to go to a concert, so stop in get a drink at the bar. Wasn't sure if i had time to eat, but i ordered a order of the tatter tats, They were AWESOME, YES AWESOME. They come inside a giant potatoe skin covered in goodnees and bacon. Can't wait to go back and try the other food. Heard the lamb neck tacos rock. The atmosphere is cool seems like a good hang. Go try it out.

Came here one Sunday because the Dawg House was packed! (My hubs is a Browns fan & that's the Browns backers bar) It wasn't very crowded and the game was on one of the two TV's they had in the bar. Ordered regular breakfast drinks, mimosas and bloody Mary's. They were not good. Tasted like straight OJ and tomato juice. Service was really painfully slow considering how not busy the place was. We ordered some food and it was just mediocre. The best thing were the tater tots! Seriously amazing. Decent beer selection but way I've priced cocktails. Bottom line: I would come back here if friends wanted to, but would not come on my own.

I love the idea of this place. I'm honestly surprised that there aren't a lot of places around like this. Who doesn't love drinking & playing old board games & video games?! I attended a Nashville Food Bloggers event here on a Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were able to try some of the cocktails & different menu items. We also were able to meet the chef & the general manager, both of whom were warm & friendly. The atmosphere is really nice in this place. Not "fancy" nice or "trying too hard" nice, it is just a very comfortable & welcoming place to stop in & have a drink & meet up with friends. It doesn't have a really bar feel, even though it has a bar, weird I know. Along with the bar, they have high top tables with comfortable bar stools with padded backs. They also have booths that overlook TVs, TVs that are hooked up to different gaming systems. The food, we tried the mini doughnuts, fruity pebbles French toast, sweet country sausage and grits served with an egg Sunnyside up. I really enjoyed the mini donuts, they were very crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I liked the sauce on the fruity pebble French toast, but I found the French toast itself to be just okay. The country sausage was made with sage, crushed red pepper and honey, and it was amazing. I know it seems weird to eat country sausage at a bar but you must try it. I'm not a huge fan of grits, but these grits aptly named "a Grit Idea" we're seasoned & kind of spicy with a sunny side up egg on top. It was SO good. I really was surprised with how good the food was. The drinks. The drinks are good. Ranging in price from 6-9 bucks, you'll find one you like & you'll enjoy it. You might think 9 bucks is a lot for the size of the drink, but the drinks are strong. Not strong in a "omg I cannot drink this" but strong in a "omg this is good, I probably should only have 3" kind of strong. I had a Manhattan, Old Fashioned & a Sazerac, all were great. If you're looking for a new place to try & feeling a little peckish and want a good drink, you need to try Two Bits. You won't be sorry, unless you're playing the board game SORRY!

This place is so rad! Video games/card games while you drink and eat? YES PLEASE! I've been here a few times to grab some beers and dinner with friends. The food is pretty good (we usually order burgers or tacos). Service is kinda slow. However, it's a great atmosphere and probably one of the most unique bars I've been to. I can assure you that you will never get bored while at Two BIts - there's just too many games to choose from!

Video Games & French Fries! SITREP I love this place just from the sheer audicity that "YES!" you can have a business plan that incorporates video game culture AND actually video games to play! And air shuffle board! THE SETUP Located on Demonbreun Street (just above that headache of a "roundabout" (I hate those things), Two Bits is an excellent bar for some great brews as well as for some tasty food, including some nice vegan options. THE MENU Not crazy extensive, but enough of a variety to please many different people in a large group. French frieds, tator tots, sandwiches (hot & cold), middle eastern, etc. etc. GAMES They have the electronic video game versions you can actually play from original Sega hand units (and some others I think), from your booth, following the games on monitors above the booths. BREW BUS Two Bits is also a great start & stop off point for the BrewBus Tours which we were able to enjoy one afternoon. The tour usually takes a few hours and gives you an indepth look into 4 local microbreweries. At the end of the tour, it was fun coming back to Two Bits for some more video gaming fun and burger decompression time! THE LOWDOWN A great burger & video game joint in Downtown Nashville!

The concept of this bar is perfect, and direly needed. 90s jamz and music videos playing overhead? Check. Wide selection of beer? check. Board games aplenty? check. AWESOME 90S VIDEO GAME CONSOLES? oh yes, sweet check. We went on a Friday night. Unfortunately, things are pretty crowded and a little disorganized. While it was absolutely awesome to be able to play NFL Blitz and some equivalent of Big Buck Hunter ad nauseum, there were controllers missing from the N64 so we were neutered from that. I think they've got the idea down pat here; they just need to finesse things a bit more and this place will be great. I will definitely be back.

The barkeep was very friendly and quick to get our drinks. We sat outside and played a life size game of connect four. It was exaughstingly hot outside and the place didn't have any outside fans or misting units. Overall the place was fun and upbeat and the beers were cold. We would go back.

Now this is a place. Great whiskey - Bourbon with awesome bartenders! If your in town you have to stop. By the way, the food is just as good. Plus they play Flogging Molly!

Really wanted to like this place, but being that they're an "arcade" themed establishment, I can't really get behind it due to the fact that the majority of their selections don't even work well enough to play. Free or not, the frustration is not worth the trip, for me, at least.

Damn. Whomever thought up this concept is a genius. This place is a blast! Stopped in lateish on a Thursday night, and it was pretty crowded. Lots of college kids, and all the seats were taken. My friends grabbed a drink (I was driving) and we played some games in the back. Most of them were taken, but we managed to snag a shooter game, then some asteroids, then my BF had some nostalgia by playing a monster truck race. We did notice that one game was broken, and the other one the keys weren't working so well. Think that was the victim of being able to drink and play games. There's got to be some spillage on them. All the games are FREE (genius) and they have a variety of bar food, good beer selection, and other specialty drinks too. Since I didn't try a drink or food, just wanted to comment on the fact that while I was slightly grumpy and entirely too sober, I still had a good time. I think your best bet would to come here for happy hour and snag a booth if you are coming in for a night out, OR it would be a blast to do some day drinking on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I'm definitely coming back with a decent group of people to enjoy the free games and adult beverages!

Oh man this place is nerdy fun. I came here on a weeknight with two guy friends and we shared 3 snacks (bacon popcorn, cajun tots, and feta fries -- we're all watching our figures - NOT) and got a drink then played some games. It was really fun! Our waitress explained the menu and brought everything fast and even brought me some ketchup (I LOVE KETCHUP). The food was realllllly salty but pretty good and creative. I had the PIc-a-Nic basket drink which is adorable and comes in a little honey bear. I tried my friend's Old Fashioned which was delish as well and you really tasted the orange, which I loved. Now to the games! This place was decently packed for a Tuesday evening (around 10pm) but we still played 3 arcade games and shuffleboard and I didn't feel like we were pressured to quit or really had to wait for anything. It was actually awesome. It WAS cold in there, however, as smokers kept leaving through the back door and letting the POLAR VORTEX come blazing through the game area. Probs not Two Bits' fault though. I love that the games were free and everyone was really nice and chatty back in the game area. I only noticed the board games on my way out but those totes make me want to come back! I think this could be a fun date place (again, on a weeknight or off-time) or with those big booths in the back, a fun place to bring a group of 6-8ish? and have a drink-fueled game fest. The crowd was pleasantly nerdy! Mid/late 20s nerdy/hipstery and ...mostly male? Don't get me wrong, that's not a dig; I am a grad student in computer science so it was kind of like my normal vibe. I liked it! I definitely will come back.

Not my final review, but since the website doesn't say (nor does Yelp at the moment,) and I figure people might wonder: kid friendly until sometime at night, they think 9pm but subject to change. When I went there were four people under the age of 18, old school games free, shuffleboard costs just because there's no free play on it but you can play and keep score yourself if you want and there's no difference. The place does get smokey when the wind picks up from the outdoor seating of the bar next to it, but it's non smoking. Really dig this and shall return / also update this when I get time.

What an awesome addition to the Nashville bar scene!! This is a brand new bar that's already off to a hot start. Where else can you grab a vintage cocktail, bacon popcorn AND play old Atari games? Only at Two Bits! I've been twice already and am really loving this spot. The cocktail menu is refreshingly bold - I was getting tired of the overly sweet mixed drinks around town. These drinks pack a punch and are made with great attention to detail. A fantastic dirty martini. **The bartenders here are really the star attraction** The food is fun! I've had some hits and some.... almost hits. I think there is some rounding out in the food that will happen as they get their footing, but the vision is good. And did I mention that Bacon Popcorn? And The Feta Fries were a surprise hit. This place is really well set up for groups. The tables in the back are huge & the ones up front can easily be pushed together for larger parties. The back is also where the old school arcade games are (which are free!). They have tons of board and card games in a book shelf up front too. Not to mention TVs with old console hookups. And there's a patio in the front for any of your smoking companions. Non smoking inside. I don't know the secrets of parking in this area, so I happily forked over $10 to park in the lot next door. I'm sure street parking isn't that hard to find but it was 21 degrees out so I didn't feel like walking far. My one caution is coming on the weekends. Our first visit was on Saturday night and it was a bit of a cluster. As it is right now, it's up to whoever happens to notice you to put your name on a chalk board that is completely un-monitored. We waited about an hour as we watched table after table nursing a beer while playing rounds of Monopoly. And several tables got yanked by new comers before we had a chance to jump in. It became a free for all and really needs to either be structured, or embraced officially as a free for all. Coming in on a Tuesday was a totally different story and a much more chill experience.

Cozy, eclectic, gaming-themed bar/restaurant that offers fantastic food and a great selection of beers. Unfortunately our stop here was simply as a meeting-point for the brew-tour bus event we were attending but I ordered a beer and my wife got a burger and cheese-fries. WOW. The food is amazo. On our next trip to Nashville, we're definitely going to make time for another visit

Two Bits is awesome. Decided to check this place out last night and I'm glad I did. Games everywhere. Consoles, board games, card games, trivia, shuffleboard. The bartender was awesome. Enjoyed the service. The Food. Awesome. Tried the macadamia hummus drizzled in honey with pita. Killer. My wife got a salad and was pretty pleased. I got the fish and chips, and the jalapeño tarter sauce was on point. Liked the vibe. Loved the food. Games galore for a great time with friends. Check it out.

I feel honestly they are relying on the concept of being a barcade without putting in any effort. They have 6 or so arcade cabinets and they are bottom of the barrel. They also have a handful of booths where you can play console games. I have been to several places like this in other states. This place is a poor copy at best. Their beer prices are average to high for the area. $6 for a 12 OZ of local tap beer. We also tried the Margarita special... Wow, the worst. No simple syrup and the pitcher was full bottom to top with ice. Food wise my friends fish and chips was greasy, and my date and I's burgers were grilled as dry and dense as hockey pucks. I won't be back.

Love games? Love beer? This place is for you! Two Bits is a bar where you can come and get your drink on, and play LOADS of FREE video games or table games as long as you'd like. They have everything from the good ol' NES, all the way up to the XBOX one. They have several arcade machines and an entire bookcase full of board games you can take to your table and play. I've been here several times and it never seems to get old. Just plain old FUN. The service is prompt, the bartenders are friendly, the drinks go down easy, and the food is delicious. Parking can be a hassle in this part of town, but I usually luck out with a roadside spot a few blocks away off Demonbreun.

I have been a few times. It is good, but it is overpriced. The burger is a solid burger but it's $12. Pints of Yazoo are $5 which is pricey in my opinion as well. I recommend visiting but it's not my go to bar.

It's an adults-only arcade. A FREE adults only arcade. Seriously. This is a brilliant bar concept. Let's have games galore for grown adults to drink beer and enjoy. I mean, how is that not the standard for every bar known to man? Scrabble, Uno, Cards Against Humanity, all in neat little tubs for you to grab, take to your table, and enjoy some serious quality friend time. And they also have old-school pinball and arcade games like Mortal Kombat. And giant Jenga out on the front patio. I absolutely adore this place. Eat, drink, and be seriously merry here. The bartenders were a riot as well. It can get super crowded here, so my only issue is that they need a bigger space for this much awesome. I will be frequenting this place without a doubt, because it's a blast to act like a big kid with all your friends, just like when you were younger...except now you also get beer _

We're visiting from NY/NJ/DC and I have to say this was hands down our favorite place so far. I wish we grabbed our servers name because he was phenomenal. We started with small plates: lamb tacos, wings, zucchini toast and fried pickles. Then headed onto: fish and chips, Mac and cheese, gnocchi, and mussels. Everything was ON POINT. They have a ton of board and arcade games. I can't say more amazing things about our server who recommended bars and things to do around town. You guys rock! A must see.

Things I liked: The patio has a great view of the street if you happen to be into people watching. The bar has a bunch of games including jumbo jenga in case the people are boring. If neither of these are interesting to you, you're just a tad strange and should probably find a different bar. Things I didn't like: No drink specials on Sunday. What??

World jenga champion reporting here. Once I played jenga at 2 bits' patio and built a tower higher than the crane right opposite the street. When it toppled, it took out half of Nashville (Red Rooster, et al). Anyway, 2 Bits is a neat little place to get some drinks, play free games, and drink some more. Sitting and drinking at the patio, you'll be treated to an endless stream of humanity crawling and stumbling in and out of the nearby bars. It makes a great spot to muse about why we were placed on this planet.

I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want y'all coming here! Okay, so we all know bar food is bar food. Nothing super spectacular just the fried goodies, BUT let me tell you I had the chicken sandwich and cajun tots. He had the burger and cajun tots and we were impressed. The chicken sandwich was so juicy and it was packed with a lot of flavor! Everything came out piping hot and was fast. Our server was super great and recommended what we ate and he was right! And the video games! I love arcade games and I couldn't believe they had my faves--Space Invaders and Defender! My husband loved the Xbox and PlayStation at the table. It's a cool atmosphere and the classic country playing sealed this place for me with a big black Johnny Cash bow. This might be my Moe's Tavern. :D

This place would get five stars if you could ignore the people who go there. The good: - Great concept. - The drinks are amazing. - Service is fast and friendly The bad: - So many "bros" - It's a "bro" convention - You will here the word "bro" or "brah" at least 972 times per hour

They make really yummy quinoa tabbouleh at Two Bits. I thought about it all day and seriously thought about going back to get more for dinner. The service was great and the guys working were really friendly. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in Nashville.

(1)Kristin Marie S.

Nope.
(2)Kellen S.
(3)Jenny L.
(5)Susan W.

(3)Andrew R.
Cool 90's theme and the signature burger tasted pretty good. My only issue with this place was that it smelled like stale beer. Kind of like the morning after a wild house party. So maybe some better floor cleaning would solve that issue. Overall I enjoyed it.
(3)Jennifer P.
(5)Jody W.
(1)Lynette G.

(4)a g.
(4)Glen B.
This bar made my weekend! Best suggestion for weekend fun I've ever gotten. Great selection of games to play - free! Great beer selection (I signed up for my passport so I can earn GLORY!) They probably have food - like when I was a kid, I forgot to eat because of all the fun!
(5)Stacy S.
(2)Daniel R.
Awesome atmosphere! Love the art work on the walls of Pac-Man and the Atari logo. The bartender was very nice and friendly and also very knowledgeable about there beer selection and was able to pick the best beer for you! Not too expensive for the location it's in.
(5)Joli H.
I am loving Two Bits! My BFF's are called Bits so we made a rule to BYOBit and party at Two Bits! I tried the grits and feta fries WOW! Can't wait to try the burger next time!
(4)Coco R.

(4)April G.
My favorite place in Nashville. Great drinks, great appetizers, great staff. Everything was great and part of my favorite night in Nashville. I think this place is new and I hope it does well because I would love to come back. Try the mule- it rocks!
(5)Angela R.
We were passing through Nashville over spring break and stopped here for the trivia. Fun atmosphere, friendly people and lots of things to do! A whole wall of board games, FREE arcade games, and then of course the trivia.
(5)Stephanie C.
(3)Jonathan T.
This was a really fun place. The menu looked pretty good, but I didn't get a chance to try it because we went somewhere else. The bartenders were both quite friendly, and gave us a lot of good information about where to explore for the one night that we spent in town.
(4)Lisa P.
(5)Ian Z.
Good food. Great drinks. Fun bar. Close to the college crowd. You know, if you're into that sort of thing.
(5)Kathryn-Claire B.
LOVED this place. Great appetizers, great drinks, would love to come here with a group from out of town because we could play games at a table and not have to figure out another evening activity!!
(5)Kira H.
(2)Brittany Z.
Less games than I was expecting but we had a great time regardless and there were some cute guys too. Good place for a Sunday funday!
(5)Renee W.
(4)L. Y.
(5)Nick T.
Good food, good beer and free old school arcade games. Service is a bit slow, but they've only been open a few days, and I'm sure it will get better. All around solid place for happy hour or a night out with friends. We'll be back for sure.
(4)James D.
Just two things: Pro- Video Games Con- Shit food
(2)Corey G.
(4)Gary L.
(3)William M.
Service is slow! We had to go up and get out own silverware. I asked sever if they did anything for my daughters birthday. She said no we are new and don't do anything.
(1)Samma A.
(5)Lisa H.
Excellent service from Tyler! Food was awesome and happy hour was great! Will certainly be back !!!
(5)Abi P.
Food is great and the atmosphere is super cool- Loved getting to play games and drink and eat! Awesome venue!
(5)Erin C.
There aren't too many arcade games, but lots of board games to check out if the arcade ones are taken. Great atmosphere & had a pleasant and quick server. You gotta check out this place at least once! I'll definitely go back.
(4)Kevin M.
(5)Shelby M.
(1)Briggs S.
(5)Cy B.
(1)Jonathan O.
Local craft beer. Free video games. What else do I need to say!?!? Freaking awesome!!!!!
(5)Ben M.
(4)Aisha M.
(3)David W.
(3)Chris A.
(4)Bob B.
(4)Courtney S.
(3)Billy H.

Cool spot with lots of awesome games and great food!! The pimento blt was excellent and the fries were above average.

Food is delicious! The wings, the lamb tacos, BLT and fried chicken sandwich! Free games! Fun

What??
(4)Ashwin M.

(2)Sarah R.
They make really yummy quinoa tabbouleh at Two Bits. I thought about it all day and seriously thought about going back to get more for dinner. The service was great and the guys working were really friendly. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in Nashville.
