Good, unique offerings. Kind people serving and wonderful food and cocktails.

The food wasn't worth the price but I very much enjoyed the cocktails. It's a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy some interesting cocktails. I'd eat before you go though.

Food is great here. Chef is super creative and tackles a wide range of wonderful food pairing ideas. PLUS! Kitchen is open later, so you can get a bite to eat without committing to greasy bar food or pizza or Taco bell or - I'm grossing myself out. Fantastic cocktails. Bartenders always are knowledgable about the classics and have a fun rotating beer and cocktail list to try something new. Awesome set up. There is a private treehouse in the back reserved for a two hour pirvate party window of 6 of more (I think). We did it once for a birthday and it was so much fun. Love this little place in East Nashville.

I went back to give this place a second chance after a disappointing first experience. I ordered a $10 margarita that was, no joke, the size of a shot and a half in a tiny glass. $10!!! We laughed we when saw it thinking it was a joke. Another friend ordered a cocktail (corpse something) and there was once again no liquor in it. Waste of money. I'm giving this two stars because the food was delicious, just overpriced and small portions. They will tell you it's all meant to be shared, but the queso had only 2 bread chips. The fried rice was delicious though. This place is great in theory and has a lot of potential, I wish it wasn't so disappointing.

What took me so long? I'm so excited that I finally gave this place a chance. Living just a few blocks from five points, I had heard several people talk about Treehouse. I guess I initially got the vibe that this place was overpriced and not worth it, but that was wrong! Just goes to show that sometimes you have to form your own opinions instead of listening to hearsay. I am very excited to have another go to restaurant in the area that is a little more upscale from the standard pizza and bar food. Don't get me wrong, I love some pizza and bar food, but this is a unique option that really is different than anything else we have in Five Points. Cocktails were delicious! I had a dark and stormy, and my husband had a King's Blvd. While there seem to be several negative reviews on here about the price of cocktails, I have come to realize that most new places in Nashville will have $10 cocktails on the menu these days. The difference here was that they were actually very well made cocktails and in turn, worth the price if you are just going to have one or two. The menu changes daily because it is all so fresh and the chef really does some creative dishes! We shared the home fries and three sisters salad to begin with. Both were excellent and more food than I was expecting for $7-$11 a piece. We ended up taking about half of our appetizers home (And the three sisters salad was awesome the next day for lunch!) Next, the two of us split the chicken fried rice, and it was hands down, my favorite dish of the night! I will go back just for this dish next time I see it on the menu!!

This is my go-to place for a great old fashioned that is on par with Patterson House. This is not a place for a full meal. The Treehouse is more of a place for smaller eats, great cocktails, and a cool ambience with a gathering of friends that is both lower-key and also trendy. I particularly love coming here in the later hours because the crowds are smaller and affords a greater probability of sitting outside in the amazing deck/patio, which is heated in the winter. This is like the treehouse of your childhood dreams... but with alcohol!!!

If you take a trip to the eastside of nashville this is a must go. Farm to fork and an ever changing menu make it hard to describe the menu - but let me tell you, the 5 different dishes I tried the night I went were ALL delicious. Myself and 3 other girls got two appetizer portions and two dinner entrees - the empanadas, the queso in an acorn squash, the skirt steak and the roast chicken. And to tope it all off we got the chocolate cake dessert. All were perfect sizes and allowed us to be satisfied but not overly full - we were going out on broadway street an wanted to be comfortable. We unfortunately did not get to sit in the treehouse portion and the indoors is a little cramped but the drinks were made quick and we all enjoyed ourselves!!

Service was good. Cool environment. I got the TH Margarita which was $10. For $10, I expect a great cocktail or a lot of cocktail. It was neither. It was about the size of a shot. All the cocktails were pretty small. They suggest you share all the food, but when they brought the queso bowl we ordered out, they only brought two SMALL slices of bread with it. Very small. It was not for sharing.

Really cool-looking place. But so many things wrong with it: -blaring music (I mean blaring) that keeps you from having basic conversation -tiny overpriced cocktails -menus that seem purposefully obtuse (no division between appetizers and entrees, private abbreviations that you're supposed to guess the meaning of, dishes like beef heart that don't have the words "beef heart" anywhere in the description -food that takes way too long to arrive, even though it wasn't a busy night -a server who did not seem to care at all The Treehouse represents the apex of the worst aspects of hipster culture. For a meal, go to Marche instead. For a drink, go to Holland House. Avoid this place.

This place is legit. I was there late night: The cocktails were great (bitter amaro cocktail- king something? and egg white margarita!). I got the healthiest and most flavorful meal there - not too heavy for the time of night, but filing enough to get me through until morning. I'll be back!

Headed to the Eastside of town we thought we would check out the Tree House. So many great things to say! -daily menu w/ knowable staff to guide you through their tapas style. -plates range from small to large and come straight out of the kitchen when ready! -the peruvian fried rice was killer and could feed a family of four! while the chicken wings were crisp and easily shared by two. We sat out back and really enjoyed the fun decor and atmosphere. It would be great for a bday party/groups. We'll be back!

I had so wanted to fall in love with this place due to the concept and ambiance along, but unfortunately our experience fell way short. We had dinner for seven one night for a dear friend's 40th birthday. We ordered quite a few apps, which came out in stages. So far, so good--all the small plates we had were pretty delicious. The cocktails, too, were good. Then, the main courses came out. First, they brought two people's plates, and we figured all would follow. Well, they did--much later. Then, they brought the next couple, after the first diners were nearly done. Nearly half an hour after that, mine finally arrived (pork...how does it take that long to cook pork, I ask?). It was such a weird flow, and the server never bothered to even say, "I'm so sorry this is taking that long--can I get you something in the meantime?" By the time my entree came out, everyone else was long finished, and I'd been picking at their meals the whole time. Good thing, too, as my pork was so salty it was inedible (seriously, it tasted like someone dumped a container of Morton's on it). To her credit, as the server passed me on the way to the bathroom, I told her she could take my dinner as I couldn't eat it, and she didn't charge me for it. But I was still left so disheartened by the experience. The last thing you want at a group dinner--birthday dinner at that--is awful service, and that's exactly what we got. I get that it's a tiny kitchen, but we weren't a huge group; surely, they could have figured out a way to get all of our food to us close together. Plus, the inattentiveness of the server--just ugh. I probably will not be going back to the Treehouse to give it a second try.

Charming dinner locale in the heart of East Nashville. Small space, but uniquely decorated and inviting. Slightly overpriced, in my opinion, for what you're getting. We had the home fries and cauliflower to start (the new kale!)--both were delicious. For my meal, I had the fried rice (amazing!), and we all shared the vegan coconut cake for dessert--sweet, with some sort of lime sorbet, and didn't taste like "diet" food... Definitely go, just to say you've been. I enjoyed it, but it hasn't yet worked its way into my list of go-to's. We had fantastic service--although there were only 2-3 other parties in the whole space, so there was really no reason for slow service. Open concept kitchen, which was cool. Street parking. I believe there is adjacent (paid) lot parking as well.

Not kidding when I say it was the best meal I've had in at least 6 months. I went with 5 other people and after we all split everything, I honestly felt bad for how much I paid vs. how much I enjoyed it. It was very reasonable and I absolutely loved it. The home fries were amazing and the queso was unexpected and awesome. Our waiter was great and gave us detailed descriptions of every meal and drink. Drinks were small but stout and exotic. I wanted to try the late night menu so badly. I will some day. Treehouse is good enough for me to drive to Nashville and then back to Atlanta just for dinner. Loved it

After an evening event at the Nashville Zoo, we wanted to find a nice dinner to finish off the night. In an effort to get out of the downtown tourist trap, I moved my Yelp search to the east part of town. I had heard a lot about the up and coming Five Points neighborhood, so there I began my search for gluten-free dining. A few options came up, and upon further investigation into other gluten-free review websites, I thought the Treehouse would be a nice fit. A few people had some positive experiences, let's give it a try! We found it easily enough. It was a cute building with a lot of decking around the outside. Rough sawn wood, trees through the decking, quaint string lights, and very hard benches. We were given our menus and drinks orders were taken right away. As always, I asked the hostess when we walked up if there was a gluten free menu. She stated that our waiter should be able to help us. We decided we wanted to order a few different plates and share since it was just after 10:00 and we were given the late-night menu with only small plate options. When inquiring with the waiter which items would be gluten-free, he mentioned only two, the Goat Rice and the Steak & Eggs. So we ordered both of those and one other dish for my gluten-loving husband, the Chicken Hearts with Spicy Cashew Cream. His dish came out first, about 20 minutes after we placed the order. He enjoyed quick enough. We assumed the next dishes should be right out. Nope. Our waiter spent a lot of time chatting with a table full of girls, and walked quickly past us each time. We ended up getting the attention of another waiter to find out why it was taking so long. It had been about 45 minutes since our first dish was brought out. Around 11:50 pm, our other two dishes arrived from the kitchen. To start with, they did not look as appetizing as the plates that were delivered to our neighboring tables, but we were starving. I started on the Goat Rice dish, described on the menu as BBQ Goat, Pigeon Peas, Rice, and Summer Salad. I picked at the goat, which was tender and had a good flavor. The salad had a fruit which I have an odd allergy to so I didn't eat too much of it. What I didn't like about the dish, other than waiting so long for it, was there were small crunchy bits mixed in. My biggest concern was that these were toasted bread crumbs that were not disclosed (I have celiac, this is a BIG deal to me). We quickly checked with the waiter and he confirmed they were merely bacon crumbles. The other dish of Steak & Eggs was described as Skirt Steak with 2 Fried Eggs, Potatoes, Ranchero Salsa, and Crema. It took my husband a few minutes, but he recognized the protein wasn't skirt steak, it eye round subbed in it's place. We both found it to be tough. He enjoyed the salsa and potatoes. Luckily, he had had another dish, so he wasn't leaving hungry. (if you like this review, and want to learn about more gluten-free restaurant options, please visit my blog at theglutenfreeroadlesstraveled dot com) If you are local to the area and want to go and have drinks with friends, I'm sure this place would be a great fit. If you are looking for a restaurant that serves upscale food, gluten-free or not, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I had heard so much about this restaurant and I could not wait to try it out for myself. Everything I have heard is true...romantic? Yes. Delicious. Absolutely. Vegan and Gluten free options? Plenty!! My friend and I headed over there on a Tuesday night right around opening time. We were seated immediately and had our pick of all the seats in the hosue- we were met with smiling faces as we cozied up to the bar. It was nearly impossible to decide between the amazing sounding cocktails on the list. I ended up getting a lavender infused gin drink with orange bitters...delicious. Not too sweet. And strong! After I guzzled that one, the bartender made me a special drink with ginger beer, bitters and dark rum- a twist on my old favorite, the Dark and Stormy. It was refreshing and light, but still had a good kick. Since it was my first time here, I relied on the waitress, Lindsey's, opinions on the "must haves." She did not disappoint and definitely lead us in the right direction. We ended up with the queso with toast points and the sunchoke tacos. They were both delicious, a tad spicy, vegan and gluten free. If I had to choose between the two I would say the tacos were better. I LOVED the authentic corn tortilla they were served in, the subtle taste of cilantro and sampling a sunchoke for the first time. Our waitress was super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She genuinely seemed to love working there and her positivity was contagious. When we asked how many different small plates to order she said to start with two, which was both honest and accurate. For dessert, we ordered the coconut cake. This was just ok. I think I would opt for the chocolate cake or ice cream next time instead. (Or maybe another small plate). Perhaps the perfection of the entrees and cocktails left much to live up to. I can't wait to come back and next time sit outside in the different tree house levels.

Drinks are good... Service was horrible. And food was definitely not up to par. $25 steak? It was way over cooked! Plus they seat people in the freezing cold! Wouldn't waste my time here unless you are getting drinks.

Loved this place! The chef is unique with his food and changes it up the menu every week. My husband and I started with the queso and it was delicious! Then I had the skirt steak and my husband had the chicken thighs. Incredible options and cooked to perfection. The sauces paired with the dishes were also amazing. Will definitely be coming back to try the different menus. And the ambiance inside is so cozy but I definitely want to try eating in the actual treehouse. Little pricy, but worth the flavor.

We really enjoyed our dinner here Friday night. The atmosphere is fantastic, though it might get hot if full, and the staff was friendly. We LOVED our cocktails, and the food was great. Recommendations: the octopus and the pork belly.

I feel like The Treehouse competes well in it's niche; Hip environment, limited but comprehensive menu, and a good bar. It succeeded in all of these for my wife and I but I'm not sure how much I could return within a year. The service was friendly with just enough hipster-cred to make you feel cool without fighting for it. If you understand that last statement, you live in East Nashville and don't drive a scooter to work. It can be hard for normies to enjoy themselves without feeling like a dumb tourist. The Treehouse did this and it was fun. We really enjoyed everything we ordered to eat. The menu was small but thankfully our confidence increased with every new item that hit the table. We met another couple and they seemed to register the same experience. The cocktails were well crafted and creative. They're not lush-tubs though and I was somewhat surprised to see bartenders pouring "classicly measured pours". Tasty, but reserved in size. If this outs me as a drunk, then so be it. Another surprise: it didn't break the bank. The experience was nice, we were able to take our time and enjoy our evening out, and everything they brought was pleasant. All this at what I would guess would have cost another $20 total at a competing establishment. Doesn't sound like much, but a value is a value, even with that curled mustache I'm growing out. Too bad I feel like the menue is just so limited that I want to wait until it turns over to go back.

Devoured the Home Fries and TH Queso as a shared appetizer. Great small (hello, large!) plates to share, expertly prepared, and delectable! For the main event the octopus and beef heart were chosen. Never in my life have I tasted a smokey, tender, octopus of this caliber. The beef heart was served rare and tasted amazing with the sea salt on top. Excellent, attentive service, eclectic atmosphere, great drink menu, fantastamazing food. Highly recommended and much enjoyed!

Great experience! Pros: + Great location in the heart of East Nashville. + Great menu that gets you to try things you thought you'd never eat, let alone love. + Ambiance: after going there three times now we have yet to be seated in the same room because there's so many options. If you're celebrating a special occasion, I highly recommend reserving room 4 which is 'the treehouse' and it's a private outdoor setting that can comfortably serve 10 people. + Customer Service: attentive and polite staff that know their menu and accommodate guests in a timely manner. + Food Quality: everything I've had there has been great. I recommend the home fries, queso, plantains, chicken wings, fried rice, pork belly, and every desert we've had has been great. + Variety: with an eclectic menu that changes daily and the variety of settings to dine in is what keeps us coming back to The Treehouse. Cons: - Parking can be tricky but the area has grown so fast that it's hardly something to complain about.

If someone reviewed this place at less than four stars they obviously didn't feel like asking their server what they should try. The menu changes on a regular basis, yet after 20+ visits I still haven't tried anything I don't absolutely love. This place has the best, most creative, most delicious food in east nashville. Here's a tip: ask your server

OMG this place is so amazing. The food is served tapas style, meaning everyone shares their food they ordered. I love this kind of service because then I can try a little bit of everything and truly give a great review. The atmosphere here was very divey/hippie, but I honestly love that kind of thing. I was there on my first night of event s for my bachelorette part weekend in Nashville and I couldn't have asked for a better place to go! I found this place because of YELP, and now I am adding my review so everyone else knows how great of a place this restaurant is. The food is very fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything had a little spice to it, but I love that! Their beer list was alright but the drinks were interesting. My friend got a margarita with a white egg in it! The décor is great, very retro and shabby chic. The light fixtures were amazing and so was the service. My only complaint was the noise level. The music was very loud and it made conversation more of a yelling type, not my favorite. But I think if you're in Nashville and you're looking for a place for you and your friends to go this treehouse venue is the spot! My recommendations for food include the ceviche, pork belly, queso bowl, and fried rice.

Growing up, family vacations meant car trips. As a little girl, I was fascinated by the purr of the rumble strips as we headed into toll booths. The joke was that I used to call out "wha's that? wha's that, dada?" every single time. While rumble strips seem to have disappeared, the wonder of riding in the backseat of a car has not. As we sped past The Treehouse toward dinner, I exclaimed "what's that? I want to go there." And go there we did, after dinner. In a very different way, the jewel of The Treehouse is the patio, much like at Rumors East. We breezed through the interior, but it is relatively small, tiny really. The "patio" really does feel like a treehouse with a tin roof and cheerfully painted wood floors and walls. It may sound like a cave, but it's not, there's a perfect balance of enclosed space and openness. We only stayed for a drink; a tea-based drink for him and the medicina latina for me. We enjoyed our drinks, but decided to call it a night, a little surprised that it wasn't very crowded at that time on a Saturday night.

It's a shame I can't give this place more stars, as I had heard favorable things about it. Sadly, the only wow factor is that you are eating in a treehouse. The food isn't bad but nothing to sing about either. I also feel like if you are going to take the direction of not allowing any food substitutions/omissions, you can also make sure all ingredients are listed on the menu (a friend who is allergic to pumpkin seeds noticed them in her salad while they were not listed in the menu :/) The menu is overall good but nothing really I would go back for. The hipster-too-cool-for-school attitude coming off the staff is a real turnoff as well. If they were nice it'd be one thing. We didn't get that from our server Chadley. Yes, Chadley. Not Chad. Not Bradley. Chadley. Complete with fedora and full-sleeve tatts. Enough said.

We were looking for something different and thought we would try the Treehouse. When we first arrived we were apprehensive as the menu was limited(it changes daily). Soon after seating, our server came over and explained the "concept" to us. Tapas style. We ordered the skirt steak and the Cerviche and wow was the flavor ridiculous....we also tried the home fries(just because) and then someone ordered wings at a table near us. They smelled scrumptious. Got those too. The seafood in the Cerviche was very fresh and we were told all fish and seafood was swimming no more then 48 hours ago. Great flavoring for this meal which was served with very fresh crispy tortilla chips. The skirt steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked that way as well and was served with fresh green beans and diced carrots. All cooked to perfection. We would recommend this to anyone looking for something different.

I had a delightful meal here on my recent visit to Nashville. We had a group of 7 and needed a place that served vegetarian fare (although it turned out we really didn't need a vegetarian place) and food for meat eaters. We were able to snag a reservation since we had a larger group. The place is located in this cute little house (emphasis on little). We were there fairly early in the evening so it was not busy when we arrived, but quickly filled up to capacity. Our group decided to order and share a bunch of dishes. I think that we ordered almost everything on the menu. Some of the highlights of my meal: Home Fries - yes, you would think that these would be boring, but they are served with this really good crema sauce. I couldn't stop eating them when they were sitting on the table in front of me. I may have eaten way more than my fair share. Shh. Plantains - the plantains were served with black beans, crema sauce, and hot sauce. They called the hot sauce 'fu*kin hot sauce'. It was not so hot. I couldn't really detect any kick in the dish. The plantains were still good though. th queso - this is cheese queso served in an acorn squash bowl with some toast. I didn't get to try any of the actual queso, but I did devour the acorn squash. It was good with the remnants of the cheese. Turnips - an entree featuring turnips. I did not have high hopes for this dish, but was pleasantly surprised. The turnips were cut and seared to look like scallops. They were served on a bowl of some sort of noodles and also had mushrooms. Three sisters salad - this salad was my favorite dish of the evening. It's filled with squash, corn, black eyed peas and cottage cheese. None of these things really appeal to me separately. Together they are pretty spectacular. We had more dishes, but my poor brain can't remember any of the other dishes right now. The meal was extremely reasonable. We split the food between the 7 of us and it only totaled like $12. I had two pear ciders on top of that and my total was $24. Not bad at all. Go outside and check out the cute tree house while you're there!

I'm still dreaming about the fish tacos I had here the night before last. Phenomenal service and atmosphere to boot! Those tacos though. Seriously. You gotta try em'. Menu rotates daily so everything is super fresh. Pricey but worth it.

Everything about the Treehouse is FUN! If you get a chance please go. Located in the cute area of 5 points, I stumbled into this place hungry and I was delightfully surprised how delicious and eclectic the menu was. It changes daily. We had the yummy chicken wings, simple salad, lamb neck. All the servings we shared and we had plenty of food between the 3 of us. All were very tasty and wonderful! We ate outside in a actual Treehouse and it was so fun! Our server was amazing and catered to our every need. The wine list and beer list was delightful. Great food, drinks and atmosphere! The Treehouse brought back memories of my childhood and added new memories that made me so "HAPPY"!

I really enjoyed my experience at the Treehouse. I think it could have been slightly better if there had been room for us to sit outside. Went on a Monday night and it not very crowded. Went with three other friends and we ordered several appetizers to share. The TH queso was pretty amazing. I loved that it came in a squash and the squash was quite delicious. The cauliflower was also quite delicious. I normally always order meat but the Peruvian Fried Rice caught my eye and our server highly recommended it. And it did not disappoint. It was a strange combination of flavors that came together extremely well and made the whole dish quite pleasing. It was amazing to say the least. For dessert we ordered the chocolate cake and it was extremely rich but hard to stop eating. One of my favorite East Nashville restaurants hands down and will definitely be back again.

Excellent meal all around! We sat out back, the enclosed porch was cheerful and warm. We shared several dishes, the openface with smoked trout was definitely the star followed closely by the hanger steak with leeks, queso fresca & tomatilloes. They also have delicious cocktails. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The only drawback was the other patrons lol...dopey hipsters...but what can you do? Wear noise canceling headphones? Maybe.

If you come here for a drink on a Saturday night, be prepared to be shuffled unceremoniously about more than Peeta in the Hunger Games. After ordering their sub par cocktails from a bewildered bartender who literally froze to a stop when I mentioned food and sitting down, we were aggressively escorted from one gravel standing point to another to enjoy our overpriced cocktails. Skip this place. Double damn. #regretzit

This place is so cool! Great location and cool vibe right in the heart of five points! Unfortunately, we had already eaten dinner before we got there but we sat at the bar waiting for the rest of our party to arrive and watched all of the amazing looking food being prepared! I wanted to eat everything I saw them make!! We ordered the strawberry dessert, it was really good. I typically don't like gastriques but this one was not too vinegary for me. The bartender was very friendly as was the manager. Our party finally arrived and we sat outside on the patio and enjoyed really great cocktails. You really can't go wrong with anything that you order here!!

oh how we wanted to love this place :( The good - the building is adorable. Great vibe. The bad - the food. Sigh. I must point out that everything we ate is no longer on the menu. Guess we weren't the only ones who felt this way... Started with a turnip/parsnip/carrot app in hoisin sauce. Or should I say "swimming" in hoisin sauce. I love fall veggies, but half of the veggies in the dish weren't even cooked all the way and still hard... Waitress recommended the fried calamari po'boy type thing...the calamari was so over fried, the bread was not fresh and there was hardly any mayo (or whatever it was) on it so it made it even more dry. For the bigger dishes we did a veal (I think it was veal, it was a fatty piece of meat that was cut like bacon) flat bread. It could have been good but was not put together well at all. It was one big piece of flat bread that wasn't cut up in pieces so it made it very difficult to eat and to pull apart the meat. It was very salty but had a bit of a kick and interesting flavor. Interesting actually should be reserved for the meat balls, our next entree. The waitress did a good job of explaining they were made with beef jerky (no joke) so expect a different type of flavor. My husband didn't like them but I thought they were interesting and fun, definitely not the normal type of meatball. But they came in a bowl of 4 big balls and nothing to accompany it. We shared everything so if someone would have ordered that as their entrée alone they would have been very disappointed. We could only eat 1 each as the flavor was pretty strong. We love to eat and always finish our plates when we eat out, this was one of the first times we both left lots of food leftover and didn't want to take it home. I am so glad they change their menu constantly and hope they find something that works.

Oh, Treehouse... Why aren't you just located in my backyard? Perhaps, I'm sounding a bit spoiled since you're just located a few miles away, but I put all the blame on you. YES. Indeed. It is your fault that I now have this sense of entitlement that now has me actively campaigning for your 2nd location to be conveniently located behind my loft. If you wouldn't have knocked my socks off with your thoughtful and diverse menu which also includes an enticing assortment of dishes that are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. The fact that the menu clearly denotes which dishes are specific to the dietary needs is much-appreciated added bonus. And, while I can't make this statement about the mass majority of dining spots that I have frequented, I can cross my heart and swear by the statement that "I've NEVER had an experience that I haven't absolutely loved here." (LOUD THUD) What was that? Oh, just the sound of the mic being dropped. I've enjoyed myself here since they opened their doors 7 months ago - so this 5 star review is quite delayed but well-deserved. From the Cauliflower Steak, Fideo, and Kale + Quinoa ($10) dishes to their tasty concoction of Plantains ($6) or Beets + Radishes the menu stays innovative with unique flavor mashups. Plus, I haven't even touched on the fact that you're not acquiring debt to enjoy the "good life" here. There's no excuse to ingest toxic foods elsewhere when the menu is so affordable here. The 10 After 10 Menu proves my point as you can enjoy some of their signature items for $10 after 10pm. Goodbye, drive-thru. Hello there, Sunchokes and Empanadas. Ready to chitty chat about libations? Yeah, me too. The bar program here is solid. If ciders, drafts, or bottles and cans make your world go round, you won't be disappointed. Perhaps, the grape variety is more your bag? I can attest that the the list isn't overbearingly extensive but the consolidated options that they do offer will please your palate. Give their Madeira and Port options a whirl. Wine snob? All good. Bring your own goodies and you'll only have a $15 corkage fee. NOW, THE COCKTAILS. Oh, the cocktails. Vodka, lemon, Casoni 1814, and grapefruit bitters happen to be the ingredients to one of my favorite cocktails in town. Order the "Don't Mind If I Do" ($10) and after a couple of these, you'll feel A-OK, my friends. Is Bourbon your BFF? The "Kentucky Hussy" ($10) is the way to go. Comprised of Old Forrester 100, lemon, ginger beer, and sugar, you'll feel a bit of the heat but the sugar softens the blow a tad. Admittedly, portion control can be an issue when you pony up to this bar.... better have that Uber app downloaded on your iPhone, yelpers. Bottoms up. With the recent expansion of the treehouse in the back dining area, it opens up the space a bit more from the cozy 40 seat main dining area. The intimate yet well-designer layout of The Treehouse just adds to the overall charm especially since this property has been in the Co-Founders family since the roaring 20's and before The Great Depression. The aforementioned treehouse in the back was actually built by the patriarch of the family when this location was used for residential purposes. I also just adore that they also utilized local and regional makers to craft the lighting, tables, seating, and bar areas. And, is it odd that the bathrooms are one of my favorite touches? I won't give it all away but you'll find some unexpected "Steampunk" and "Rock and Roll" influences in there... a little mischief, never hurt anybody, right? So, I hope this helps explain why we all need a bit more of The Treehouse in our lives. We certainly aren't asking them to alter the beautiful space and dynamic energy that they already have in place... BUT if this this young restaurant were going to add a secondary location, I just wanted to throw my very own backyard in the hat. TIP: There is currently a Yelp Deal where you can purchase a $20 certificate for only $10

The Treehouse is a new restaurant that opened in the East Nashville five points area in a renovated home. The inside is very nicely decorated, but boy is it tiny. There's too much furniture jammed into a little house. I also wasn't the biggest fan of their communal dining experience. At The Treehouse, everyone sits next to strangers. We were at a six-person table with two other couples and because of this we couldn't really have any meaningful conversation, because DUH, other people. I warmed up a bit to the idea during the meal when I started really liking the couples next to us (they were very sweet and talkative). But let's be real- not all people are awesome and sometimes in a situation like this you will have to sit next to someone you don't quite like. I personally don't want to pay a lot of money for a romantic dinner to sit next to someone who is slowly driving me insane. We started out with some cocktails. I had the Uprooted, which was gin and green apple juice. This was a really good fall cocktail and the tart apple flavor worked really well with the light gin. , you may be disappointed because they have a very limited selection with only 3 choices. The menu worked like a tapas restaurant. You chose a bunch of small courses to share and they arrived one at a time. The first plate to arrive was the mussels with bacon, blue cheese and wine. This was the best dish I had all night. The mussels were delicate and not overcooked. The sauce was a perfect blend of the cheese and wine and we even asked for extra bread to sop it up. Unfortunately the service was very slow between courses. We sat waiting between the first and second course for what seemed like a long time. When the courses are small portions (such as tapas) they have to come out in a timely manner. Our next course was the fry bread, for which the topping selection changes daily. On our night it was topped with peanut sauce and grilled romaine lettuce. This was solid, although I wasn't the biggest fan of their peanut sauce. I felt like this course should have arrived before the mussels to have with our cocktails- but that's just me. At this point the service got even slower. We had to ask the wait staff if they put in the right food and if it was coming. Because of the multiple parties at the same table they couldn't remember who ordered what and when the food arrived the server gave it to the wrong couple, which threw off the whole serving order for everyone else. Up next was the duck liver with peanut sauce and apples. This was a full duck liver which I usually quite enjoy. Unfortunately, the same peanut sauce I did not like earlier was also served with this dish. The iron flavor of the liver, which was cooked perfectly, did not work with the peanut sauce. This dish just seemed very confusing. Our last course was the anticuchos (beef hearts) with smoked pumpkin and spiced pepitas. I didn't like this dish at all- which is strange because I normally adore beef hearts. I was not a fan of the smoked pumpkin or the spicy seeds; the heart and all that stuff together just wasn't delicious. It tasted oddly heavy with lots of fall spice. I really wish the beef hearts' natural flavor and texture had just shined through. For dessert we tried the flan with shortbread crumble and candied serrano chilies. The candied peppers came in large chunks that were so hot that when you bit into them you couldn't taste anything else. Steve and I agreed that if they were chopped up into little pieces this would've been much better. The flan itself was unspectacular, but good. Because the Treehouse is new and we went on a busy Friday night, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I went back on a weeknight for dinner with my friend. Both of us were very disappointed- here's a quick run down: The service was still off. A waiter tried to give us someone else's food. That person wasn't even at our communal table at all. We ordered the empanadas which were not good in the slightest. They didn't look right and just appeared to be mangled and malformed. They were overstuffed with only beans and then fried, making the whole thing a greasy, soggy mess. Neither of us could finish this dish. We ordered the quail and what we got was just sad. Instead of a whole quail (which is implied by just the word QUAIL), we got a tiny boneless over-cooked breast that was half the size of my palm. The legs are the best part of the quail and they were missing. I asked the wait staff about this and they said it's just how the dish comes. I suggested that they need to indicate "quail breast" on the menu to avoid confusion and disappointment. This was the saddest $10 I've spent on food. I hate to say this, but the Treehouse really needs to get its act together, both in service and food. I really like the idea, the space, and the location but I just can't recommend them yet.

Love the family style seating, the approachable bar, and the subtle latin flair of the dishes. The people are super nice and the food delicious! I think of it like a mini-Husk, which just happens to be in my neighborhood! Bonus! We love it, wanted to move in!!! Will update with new review when i have tried more of the dishes.

Certainly an interesting atmosphere. We sat "outside" of the main building, but not in the tree house. It was an enclosed area (thick clear plastic) during like January. They had heaters in there and it was nice. Really loved the handmade pottery that the food was served in. Good food, and great drinks. Had a good time.

This is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. The hosts are sometimes lacking, but service is great and food is fresh and delicious. The green salad is my favorite salad in town. It's simple, packed with herbs, and full of fresh snap peas. They prepare food and menus thoughtfully and carefully and everything tastes amazing. Prices are totally reasonable.

I wanted to be in L-O-V-E with this place, but truth be told I'm just in L-I-K-E. It's not them, it's me. After all, it's got everything required in a Nashville restaurant.... Rustic-industrial theme? Check. Impossibly hip servers? Check. Fantastic hand-crafted cocktails? Double check. I was all set to be head over heels in love...but the (food) chemistry just wasn't there. It all started out well...we got the plaintain appetizer (as an ex-Miami girl this sort of satisfied my need for Cuban food. Side note: WHEN is a decent Cuban restaurant going to open here??). We also ordered the frisee salad with date, chorizo and goat cheese. All good. Good enough to take it a step further; we ordered the steak and the pork chop. That's where it all fell apart. Maybe it was the somewhat bizarre overuse of crema? In the plantain appetizer (um...okay, fine); in the pork chop dish (too far...too far). Maybe it was the very dry pork chop (despite the crema)? Maybe it was the steak that was fine, but not amazing? Maybe it was the prices - $22 for an overcooked pork chop? But again, it was all still pretty good...not good enough to call it love, but definitely like. Yep, I'm definitely positively head over heels in like with this place. But, who knows? Maybe for you it'll be love. Only one way to find out.

I wish I could say that I loved this place; the concept is really fun, however the service we received was abysmal and the average food forced me to write this review. As visitors to Nashville, everyone in my party was looking forward to the experience eating in a treehouse. Unfortunately, the night started off poorly and never got back on track. The first disappointment of the night came after an innocent mistake parking in a lot not owned by treehouse resulted in one of our cars getting a ticket, we were upset but not at Treehouse. While we were forced to pay the ticket we did not want another innocent group to make the same mistake so we politely suggested that the hostess to inform people entering the restaurant that the parking lot next to their restaurant was a paying lot and that you would get a ticket if you didn't pay immediately. The hostess responded very rudely that it wasn't her's, or the restaurant's, responsibility to warn guests that their cars might get a pricey ticket because of poorly placed signs. I do not agree, please pay attention to the parking signs if you do intend to go to this restaurant. The second disappointment of the night was that our waiter was slow and down right rude at times to the guests in our party. We had to ask for simple things like ice multiple times before the waiter would even acknowledge our request. One simple request for salt was met with a two minute condescending speech about the seasoning of their food. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. The final disappointment came when after encouraging us to say for more food and drinks we were asked to leave the treehouse so that another party could come in. This request came as we were taking a couple of pictures to commemorate the evening and paying our checks. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting Nashville who is looking for the southern hospitality or good food.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. My girlfriend and I decided to go there for dinner last week. The inside of this place was pretty small but had a nice vibe to it. We opted for the outside... The Treehouse portion. Really cool setup - rustic looking with multiple covered areas to sit. It was chilly the night we went and they had a large propane heater out there; my lady loved that. We both ordered a glass of wine, the warm olives for an appetizer, I ordered round steak as my entree and she got the scallops. The olive app was unique... There were a ton of them. A few nuts were mixed in - definitely could have used more nuts to even out the olive to nut ratio. Unless you absolutely love olives, I wouldn't recommend this. The entrees are what killed my review. My steak was almost all fat. I'm always a member of the clean plate club and I only ate half of this. With that, the flavor wasn't good at all. Beans were served on the side. They were ice cold and tasted like someone dumped them out of a can and put a little extra seasoning on them. My lady's scallops were cold as well. It came with 3 medium sized scallops and a couple small pieces of fried bread of some sort. The dish looked like a plate for ants. Just overall, it wasn't a well put together meal. Our sever was good and the look of this place was pretty cool. Only reason I am giving 2 stars. Wine isn't cheap... No house wines so the cheapest thing you are going to get is an $8/ glass drink. I'm no stranger to nice restaurants. If I'm paying $80+, then I want to leave with an above average food experience and great service. I left with one of these but the food itself was awful. I have a hard time believing this place will last if they don't do something about the menu/quality of food. Too many good places to eat in nashville, I won't be returning.

My boyfriend and I were in the area last night and decided to give Treehouse a try. The food was great, albeit a little pricey for the atmosphere. I ordered the salad (highly recommend) and my bf ordered the Walking Tacos (they come in a Fritos bag. So cute!) This building is REALLY cool, great vibes, would love it if the food was more affordable. My bf also order a Woodford Reserve and coke... That cost $12. $12?! That's the same price as a craft cocktail at Patterson House. I can't totally write it off, but it might be awhile before we return.

I was really excited to try this place since I'd heard such good things. The hostesses were friendly and seated us right away. The waitress came over promptly and was helpful in picking a wine for me. My friend and I ordered the fried rice with chicken and egg. On first bite I had to look again to make sure I was eating chicken and not duck as the meat tasted so gamey to me. The seasonings were off-base and the favors of the cilantro sauce and the other spices just didn't taste good. Then I tried the acorn squash stuffed with queso. The squash was undercooked and hard to scoop out of the shell. The queso was thick and spicy and served with char-burned toast pieces for dipping. Again, not a good dish. Sorry but I can't recommend this place :( Very disappointing.

Food was delicious, but the portions were teeny tiny. Came with 9 women and everyone joked about how we would need to do drive-thru after dinner there. Also food comes out as its prepared. IE: I've already finished my meal as I sit here and write this, my plates been taken away, and two people have not even received their plates yet.

Went here last night with some friends who live in East Nashville. Overall, loved our experience there. They have these tapas styled dishes that change every week. I love that almost everything has their homemade cheese on it. We tried the pork belly, scallops, empanadas, ceviche and some other dishes. The ceviche is served with sweet potato chips that are delicious. Every one of their dishes were so yummy! The four of us shared four plates and two pantry items and left feeling more than full. We also tried a whole range of drinks, including the milk mustache which was really tasty. You can't really ask for any replacements because right now there kitchen is super small and it's simply not possible for them, which is understandable (unless you have allergies and such). Their service was pretty good given that they just opened and are really busy on Friday nights. Our hostess was a bit off but she was quite overwhelmed as well so it's not a big deal. One of our servers told us that literally the kitchen was making one dish at a time so not all dishes will come out at the same time. That was completely fine with us because by the time we finished one dish, the next one was served. They're open until really late which is great given that five points is really happening. Beware of parking. My friends parked at the library but that gets full super soon so we just paid to park ($3 for 2 hours and across the street- not bad!). This area in general is super busy. Also, make a reservation! We didn't think of it but totally should have. Their decor is also pretty cool. Even though I did not use the restroom myself, the rest of my friends did and they said the ladies and gents rooms are both pretty hip looking (not really important, I know, but it's a fun fact!). Overall, will totally be back again because we really appreciate how this is another creative little place in East Nasty! :)

So I have now been here two times and I always go with someone where we can both order and try each others food. I have never been disappointed. The menu is always a slightly different and doesn't have the usual fair that I would order, but I personally find that to be half the fun. Last time I had the bone marrow and toast and it was great! The place is kind of small, but I have never had to wait for a table. I would also recommend sitting at the bar. While seated at the bar you can watch your food and others being made. The staff is friendly and we ended up talking to the bartender about all the cool drinks he was making.

This is such a cool venue. Cool area, cool staff, cool atmosphere, just very cool. I like the fact that the menu changes often and they keep it fresh with what they have in stock. HOWEVER, I was just not impressed of array of food that was presented that night. The TH house fries were the bomb dot com and the chicken wings were a bit dry, but it had a great flavor with the sauces. I had the TH Margarita and it was okay as well, not my favorite but they have a bourbon drink (I can't remember the name, it is ____ tea) was very refreshing and had a good taste. Our server was amazing and they were very very VERY attentive and making sure that we were okay and checked on us probably more often than I had anticipated. I am not complaining just aware. I would suggest to try it out. A great place to come hang out after work and get a quick bite to eat. I don't know if I would go back, but I will be open to it. I will probably just look at their menu to see what is being served :) Happy eating

This place was incredible. We went with a bachelor party and reserved "The Treehouse" for the 10 of us and it couldn't have been more perfect. It was very unique as it was like our own private party... in a treehouse. The server recommended that we order "The Menu" which is one of everything and not only was it the perfect amount of food but it was also delicious. We drank tons of Good People Pale Ale and had an unforgettable experience.

A top to bottom success! My server, Martha, was attentive, friendly & knowledgable! She recommended 3 items tonight: 1) 20,000 Leagues Under The Tea- A gin-based cocktail that was light, summery & refreshing. 2) Kale+Quinoa Salad- A perfectly bright & balanced starter salad- both fresh & hearty. 3) Steak+Chilean Chimichurri- A garlic-lover's paradise! Perfect medium-rare steak over a bed of fingerling potatoes smothered in a red Chilean chili sauce w/ coarsely-diced garlic & parsley. Home run! ...All this for only $35 after using my Yelp deal! BONUS- After my meal, another server, Louisa, let me know about some great live music happening locally! All in all, -Great People -Great Product -Great Price Can't get much better, y'all! Check this place out!

I really love the concept of the Treehouse but the food is just not that good! I felt bad for the server cause we sent our food back and ordered something else which was just OK. I would save this place for a night of drinks only. Service was good though. I think the chef is trying too hard.

Have always had a great experience here. The staff always knows the menu and has great food and drink recommendations. The menu changes often which makes it fun to come back and try new things. The bartenders hand craft each drink which means it's always delicious and the vibe is really laid back and chill.

Wow. The earlier reviews must've been before they worked the kinks out. We went last night and this is now one of my favorite new restaurants! Since the seating is communal style, we got some great tips on what to order from our neighbors. We started with the Kale Crack. It's not really called that, but when the server took it away, I immediately starting having withdrawals. The queso came next. This is an acorn squash bowl filled with extremely warm melted cheesy goodness with a unique taste, and garlic bread for dipping. YUM. That was followed by the extremely awesome mussels. My husband said they were some of the best he's ever had. They have bacon in them.. enough said. The little $3 pineapple app was a nice and sweet diversion from all the rich tastes. We were so full after that we couldn't imagine having to eat the empanadas that everyone insisted we order. Somehow we managed to partially devour them before begging for a to go box. Another great choice. Since we had been there for dessert the week before, we knew we had to once again share the crazy good cinnamon roll. It has a rum raisin sauce, cream cheese frosting, and pecans. The decor is fun and adventurous, down to the elaborate bathrooms. There's a great outdoor patio space that was packed in the unusually warm December night. Food is served late and into the wee hours of the morning. What a great option for late night eaters/drinkers to avoid the greasy fast food that's usually one of the only options after a certain hour. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu, though it will be difficult to sway me from the items I've tried so far.

This place has a really cool atmosphere and great folks working there. I had a unique experience and wanted to share. I got the octopus for my meal and I wasn't a fan. I'm not saying it wasn't good, it just wasn't for me. We also had a simple salad, grilled ocra and the home fries. Everything else was very good and fresh. I probably would've rated this place a 2 star but the waiter without me asking took the octopus off my bill. I asked to pay for it, since I ordered it but he refused. Really went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. However, the food wasn't good.

What a great place! It is pretty limited as far as seating goes but we got there a little before 6:00 and got seats at the bar. The only downside to that is a bartender doesn't wait on you a server does & she had several tables so the service was a little behind. We had the scallops & the pork-chop with the home fry appetizer, all 3 were great! The portions were great! The home fires came in a nicely sized bowl and the pork-chop was huge with these great fired noodles, except for the scallops which was only 2 scallops with a delicious smear of black bean, hummus like spread. So excited to see a home turned into a great restaurant!

Like many other reviewers, I wanted to love this place since it is so charming. It's a cute little restaurant/bar with potential, but it still has some work to do. I found the ambiance and music level to be totally appropriate for the casual vibe of the place. I went with two friends and we could always hear each other fine. The decor is cool and comfortable - you can tell they are going for a neighborhood restaurant vibe. No smoking all through the restaurant - a major bonus. The drink list was pricey for the size of the cocktails and not terribly appealing. (I recommend Holland House for a better cocktail experience) I ordered one with gin & egg whites (!?) and it was not very good - it tasted like it was missing something which is how I would describe my entire experience here. The waitress did offer to get me something else but I hate being a pain so I drank it. Maybe stick with wine or beer here? My companions liked their drinks but felt that they were overpriced. Next, we ordered the pineapple appetizer and the nicest thing I can say about it is that it was $3. The flavors just did not mesh well for us. We also tried the acorn squash queso with grilled bread. It was pretty good but not great - could have used more flavor. Next, we split the pork belly entree and it was DELISH. Hard to describe (kale black bean fancy stew) but very tasty - we ate it up. If only the other dishes were this good! The waitress had no problem splitting up our checks which was nice. Overall, I wouldn't knock this place but it feels like they need to fine tune their menu a bit more. Or maybe just lower their prices! For such a casual vibe, the expensive menu doesn't seem to fit.

Loved this place. The decor is awsome and very warming. The concept of the tree house outside is amazing and fun. We enjoyed the food and beer. Staff was great. Only wish the menu was a bit diferent and more diverse. I will return for sure!

Hey Nashville - how long have we needed a tasty and healthy late night restaurant? I know that in my experience living in this "drinking town with a music problem," I've encountered closed kitchens by 9/10 o'clock way more often than I'd like to admit. And now we have it - all packed into a cute little house in the epicenter of East Nashville - with an excellent bar to boot! I'll start off with the service. Our waitress was Louisa, and not only did she know both the food and the drink menus backwards and forwards, she did such a lovely job orchestrating our experience there from start to finish. I'm the type that always finds two or three polar opposite dishes on the menu and asks a server to be a tie breaker. Most servers tell me how different my choices are and how hard to compare ("well are you more in the mood for pasta or steak?!"), but Louisa helped us navigate the menu with ease, and suggested the best possible dishes based on our tastes. She kept out glasses full and was full of genuine charm and class. Tonight was my second time there, and I had my favorite kale salad in the city again. The house pickled onions they put in that and the carrot dish are amazing, and combined for the citrus wedges, marcona almonds, red quinoa and tart vinaigrette it makes for a hearty and delicious late night meal even as a stand alone. We also enjoyed the carrots in mole and the beet salad as appetizers. For the main dish I had the smoked trout omelet, which was very thin and lightly cooked, just as an omelet should be. They also drizzled olive oil over it, which brought out the flavor of the smoked fish. For dessert I had the Milk Moustache cocktail, which was unlike anything I'd ever had before with a lovely and rich cream float that will give you one heck of a milk Moustache if you are into that sort of thing (I am - see photos). It was cold out so we didn't dine on the patio, but we took a look and it is very colorful and comfortable, also secluded from the hustle and bustle of the Five Points for a more intimate setting. This restaurant does a wonderful job catering to smokers, while keeping the smoking areas separate from the main dining space. As a former smoker I can appreciate a nicer restaurant having areas that allow the nasty little habit, but as a current nonsmoker I appreciate the lack of interference with my dining experience. All in all this is a refreshing addition to east Nashville, and to Nashville as a whole, really. We live on the west side and I would much rather drive across the bridge to this gem of a restaurant than go to PM...again.

Excellent execution and knowledgeable servers. I dine out frequently in San Francisco, which is known for its mid-range restaurants, and Treehouse beats most of the comparable SF restaurants in terms of flavor and cooking skill/technique. Fish that's cooked to a perfect medium and has a crispy (not chewy) skin! Pork belly that is moist and tender and has no tough, dry spots! I would send my food-experienced friends here. And I would come back on a future trip to Nashville.

Three friends and I ventured into the unknown and enjoyed the Treehouse this past Saturday evening. Starting off, can I just say how impressed I am with the number of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free items that grace the entire menu. Seriously, it's impressive. First, the Treehouse only accepts reservations for parties of 4 or more - which I did not understand until I went inside. The Treehouse - without its patio (until the weather gets nicer) - is a relatively small place. The seating is a mixture of tables for you and your party only, then community tables for about 8 people. There are not very many people that can fit inside the joint - now I get it. So, find at least 3 close friends, and make yourself some reservations. Our party started with home fries, olives and plantains with jalapeños, beans, and some other wholesome goodness that has slipped my mind. Anyhow, it was fantastic -- all of it. The tomato mint crema with the home fries was delish. Second course, there may or may not have been some frito pies gracing our table. I don't know what I loved more the fritos, the chile colorado's spicy awesome, or the crema. (Hint: FRITOS!!!) Additionally, we went vegetarian with the th queso - it is acorn squash packed with queso. The only unhappy face... they were out of the pork belly. Apparently, the pork belly is very popular and they had run out. This made me sad enough that I had to order a stiffer drink. Hurray! Third course time! The fish of the evening was a grouper served atop jalapeño cheese grits. I couldn't tell you about the fish, as I was too lost in the cheesy spicy wonderful of jalapeño cheese grits. Nom, nom, nom... I love jalapeños. I love grits. I love cheese. The Treehouse combined them together! Hurray! Other folks enjoyed perfectly cooked scallops with potatoes and chilean chimicurri, and another enjoyed a kale, goat cheese, and chorizo salad. I've got nothing creative to say to close out. Sorry, world. Go to the Treehouse. Make reservations. Eat well and enjoy.

I'll get to the point- Ordered the pineapple app with molasses and lime zest, home fries with some sort of gravy, mussels and short ribs. Pineapple came cold, which was weird because it was an appetizer. Would have been better had it been grilled. Home fries were underwhelming. It was just a plate of diced potatoes with some sort of gravy on top. Mussels were huge! Only 10 of them but really big ones. Worst part was that 5 of them were closed and inedible, and the toast was severely burnt on one side. So for $14, I got 5 mussels and burnt toast. Maybe the short ribs would have saved the meal, but we wouldn't know because they never came. :(((((((( Redeeming quality- the hostess was very friendly to our dogs who were outside. She even brought them water twice. Very nice girl. We stopped at the BBQ stand in the BP parking lot on the way home. We probably won't be back.

SO BAD WE CAME HOME AND MADE TOAST. Wanted to go to Holland House for their delightful happy hour, but it was Wednesday, and they only do that TH-SA. Treehouse came highly recommended from a roommate who is the biggest foodie I've ever met. The waiter was the epitome of worthless as far as servers go. Beyond insolent. Normally when a place is slow three hours before closing a party of nine walking in is a cause for celebration, but these folks looked at us like we were crashing their parade. Automatically including gratuity is a double edged sword, and this guy knew he was getting his 20% so he didn't try at all. - When asked if the $10 "cheese-fries" could be made without cheese for the two vegans the response was a flippant "that's what we have" while pointing at the late night menu. Really? Can't make just fries? The place wasn't even busy at all. - Its a major bummer when several people get excited about Chicken Thighs with Fingerling Potatoes and then upon ordering the server informs you that they may not have any chicken left, and if they do its just one. You gotta tell people this stuff right when they sit down. Thats serving 101. -Okra was undercooked, if at all. We're in the south, don't put okra on the menu if you can't hold up your end of the bargain. - Fish cakes were utterly underwhelming for $12. I don't know how much fish costs in TN these days, but these portions were way too small. - We were overcharged on our drinks too. How does a $6 shot of whiskey become a $10 Old Fashioned? They added ice and a lemon peel for $4? - I had to track the guy down to get our checks. Always frustrating. + The bite of Chicken Thighs that our friend shared with us was really tasty. Shame they didn't have more to go around. +They did keep plenty of water coming. +The space is really cool, and could maybe be something better, but not unless they fire everyone and get quality food. All in all I will never be coming back here for any reason. Ever. Period. If Lord Obama asks me to dinner at The Treehouse I will have to politely decline. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place. We left hungry and rebuffed. YUK!

I was so surprised at home much I loved this place. The food was excellent, the drinks were great, service was excellent and the atmosphere was super chill. I loved everything about the treehouse! Kudos

Well it started out Great! thought were were heading for a 4 star then it went south. Started out with a couple of small plates which were excellent. Loved the Home Fries and the Chicken and Rice. One person got another small plate for there dinner, and the meat was way undercooked. I had the pork chop which was seared too much on the out side, to much pink on the inside and I like pink, but it was way to tough. The only saving main dish was the trout. So we after great starters, dinner did not make the grade. Maybe it is just a small plate venue!!

I went there again tonight, and it was even better than the first time. The patio is inviting, and the food is inventive and delicious, and reasonably-priced. The service -- Martha -- was fantastic. I wish this place were closer to me; I'd be there every day!

I don't know what happened. I honestly don't. I was excited to try this place, but I think the one night I decided to give it a shot, the entire staff must have been having an extremely stressful day. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they aren't stressed out on a daily basis. When we walked in, the chaos immediately started. The hostess was super stressed. There was no one inside, but perhaps the outside was really busy, so we had to wait just to be seated inside...which was empty. When we were seated, a guy behind the counter at the bar looked at us and mouthed "fucking shit!" Like he was really upset that more people were being seated. I'm sure he didn't intend for us to see that little outburst, but we were immediately uncomfortable. We didn't want to make anyone upset, we just wanted to try the Treehouse out because we had never been before. I don't think that justifies being cussed at. Right as we sat down at the table I saw a group of girls (customers) walking briskly towards the exit. I heard the hostess tell them to have a good night and the girls said "we never even received our drink orders, let alone anything else. We're leaving!" So there's more fuel for the fire. But whatever, we were there and decided to make the best of it. So, we ordered food. The food was good, I'll give them that, but the portions were sooo small! I'm not sure if they reduce their portions for a "late night" menu, or if the portions are always that small. Anyhow, I'm bored writing this. It just was an all around bad experience.

BOTTOM LINE: needs some work. Atmosphere is really funky, cozy and fun, but the food was a little disappointing. I went with a group of 8, but we felt rushed out of there despite it being empty. We were surprised that it wasn't more crowded on a Thursday night, and even so our service was very iffy. Worth a try but not my favorite in 5 Points! PROS- drinks- try the Don't Mind If I Do (vodka, lemon, casoni 1814, grapefruit bitters) shareables- plantains & fry bread were great starters- queso is a must entrees- steak with chimichurri was best entree at the table CONS- Bad service Pineapple app ceviche starter

Amazeballs! Family went there for Mother's Day and we had the best time..... the best service. the best food. the best evening. Reasonable, friendly, quaint, homemade from scratch..... I have absolutely no complaints about this wonderful establishment. This is the best place to celebrate something... You guys rock. We are soooo lucky to have you in our 'hood!

Awesome experience. Second time at the restaurant. The service was impeccable. Mariel was friendly, patient and very well-attentive. The food was delicious. We ended up getting two helpings of the corn. The serving dishes are beautiful pottery made by a local artisan. Great great restaurant.

Disappointed to have to write this review as the food (minus a few misses) is really quite good. However, the service and operations at Treehouse need a lot of help. Had a 4 person 8 o'clock reservation, waited half an hour (after being told our table was almost ready for us) only to be seated at the bar. A 2 couple dinner doesn't really work at a horizontal bar, to say the least. Insult to injury, we had to ask for our first round of drinks to be comped, something that should have certainly been offered after getting off on such a rocky start. The night only got worse from there. Our server was nonexistent and anytime we were able to flag her down I truly felt like I was horribly inconveniencing her. Come on guys, it's one of the tiniest restaurants I've ever been in, it shouldn't be this hard to get the service down. Our bills came, we paid and then were presented with a higher bill with no explanation as to why. We were never asked how we wanted things split and at that point had had enough and just wanted to leave. We expressed our disappointment multiple times, yet were never offered anything to make it up to us. And those comped drinks? No clue whether they were comped as the second bill we received mysteriously didn't include a detailed list. Great concept, great food. Really hope they're able to get their act together soon otherwise we sadly won't be returning.

I don't normally rave about a place the way I have about TH. I am truly in love at first sight and taste! I stumbled upon TH one night after a dj set at Five Spot around the corner. I walked into what I can only describe as teenage me's fantasy. There is an actual TREEHOUSE! The food is an experience in it self, and the staff is very inviting and warm. I booked my birthday party before tasting the food, that's how much I was in love with this place. When I was informed the food was farm to table, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free options I was head over heels. Any place that takes that much interest in their diners, dining experience had to have amazing food. Boy was I in for a treat! I came back with one of my best most honest girlfriends and we tried the plantain and guacamole. Two dishes that while simple can...and have been ruined in the past at other resturants. Nothing sheer of fantastic. We damn near licked the plates! Lol The bartender was friendly and accomodating. His knowledge of drinks impressed us and he provided a tasting experience that was unmatched. Whenever someone can up the anty on a Shirley Temple with Italian cherries....come on. You have to love the place. Lol the outside area is like stepping into a little bit of childhood mixed with the adult lure of a separate outiside bar. I felt like I was over my friends house with the "cool parents" lol. WELL enough about my love affair with TH. It's definitely worth a trip. It's not your family sit down dining experience, more like the get a babysitter and go with your GOOD friends kind of place or meet the hot guy for after work drinks kinda intimate spot. And lastly the pricing is perfect. For $40 bucks we had two drinks each, two plates, a soda, and a chocalate cake desert which was divine. Not bad at all! Great food, atmosphere, staff, and energy. Definitely my new love affair. Lol

My wife and I went to Treehouse on Wednesday night around 6:00 for dinner. There were plenty of tables. The environment was really well done, great atmosphere and vibe. We did notice when we sat down that it was quite a bit colder than when we were standing, but they actually had a blanket sitting right on the bench which my wife used, so no harm done. (I guess it is not too surprising when your heat ducts are in the ceiling. It might be worthwhile to install a ceiling fan to help circulate that heat a little bit more.) The waitstaff was great, very attentive and informative, but not overbearing. We also appreciated being able to see into the kitchen. It was a very inviting atmosphere. I will say getting there at 6:00 may have been to our advantage, because we didn't run into any of the issues others have complained about (long waits, tight seating with people you don't know, etc.). I can only say that we had a great experience. The drink menu was interesting. I appreciated that they had creative cocktails for those in that mood, but also had a small draft selection with a beer I could drink everyday (green flash IPA) and a couple of limited edition selections. I had the Carolina Brewery Super Saaz which is an imperial pilsner made with Saaz hops. Crisp with a little bit of citrus and a sweet, dry finish. My wife had the Green Flash IPA. Drafts were between $6-8, although the servings were a bit small (10oz pours). The food was really fantastic. We got the Fry Bread to start, which is basically a flatbread lightly fried with a delicious, somewhat bitter coleslaw (arugula) and a crema sauce that balances it out really well. Loved it. Next, we got Fideo. This soup was fantastic! Basically think Tom-Yum soup meets French Onion soup. There was a ton of sweet onion flavor, but also a nice cilantro kick, a little bit of spice, and a lot of mushroom. The egg was a great final touch. Finally, we ordered Pork Shank which was tender and fatty, the meat pulled right apart, and came with a delicious side of cabbage and Russian dressing. The rye toast on the side was actually a little bit disappointing (thin and burnt). The pork shank was quite big and perfect for sharing, but would probably be a bit much for one person (it actually got a little bit boring even when sharing). Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and had plenty of food with just those three items. People have compared the servings to "tapas", but the servings are actually much larger than your typical tapa. The atmosphere is perfect for a nice date: not pretentious, won't break the bank, but also fantastic food. I went back and forth between four and five stars on the rating. I think I am a bigger fan of Rolf and Daughters, Husk, and Etch overall. But, Treehouse is more approachable both in terms of the price and flavors, so I am going with 5 stars.

Let me start off by saying the atmosphere in this place is top. The eponymous treehouse in the back seating area is just so fun to be around. The food was very well presented in these cool bowls that appeared to be handmade. Everything tasted incredible, the home fries in particular are deliciously spicy. The service was good in the beginning and helped us in deciphering the somewhat ambiguous menu offerings. The only real complaint I would have is that out waitress sort of disappeared as we finished our meal. Not a fan of waiting on the check for ~15 minutes.

I do not understand the low ratings and bitching about this place. My wife and I have eaten here 3 times and it has been fantastic every visit. I think some people are confused by what this restaurant does. I find this place to provide a tremendous experience for people who are looking for chef driven, creative dishes that are also delicious. The ambience is warm and inviting (but haven't eaten outside yet). It's an open kitchen and you can see how much passion they put into each plate, which is why we prefer to eat at the bar. The food tastes awesome and it's fun to see how everything develops on the plate. The cocktails are great as well. The servers and bartenders have been nothing but friendly and welcoming. People need to stop whining, lighten up, and have a more open mind. They really have their own thing going at this place. I guess that isn't a plus for everyone, but it certainly is for me. It's easily one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. ------- And who cares if your server's name is Chadley? It's not his fault his parents gave him a weird name. Stop judging and open your freakin minds. Nothing worse than people who go to a restaurant looking for things to be indignant about, then go on yelp and try to damage an honest local restaurant's reputation. Tough crowd in East Nashville. At least the reviews are funny. Seriously, just go read reviews for the places around here. Hilarious. Just how bitchy and hollow headed can people be? I'm doing independent research on the subject. The archives are right here on Yelp's East Nashville map zone. Over and out.

Thank you Yelp for bringing up this incredible gem of a restaurant! My husband and in-laws and I were visiting from out-of-town. Saturday night and we were not sure if we could get a table anywhere. I called and the nice hostess saved us a table since we were on our way. The ambiance is perfect, though at times the music may have been a little loud to talk with my in-laws. But the selection of music was fabulous. The communal dining was fun and we got to see what other people were eating. We enjoyed some craft beer that was excellent with the dinner items we ordered. The pineapple app was excellent, as well as the acorn cheese starter. The olives were good too. My husband and I split the trout and cauliflower steak. Simply amazing! My in-laws had the pork chops and they loved it. The lemon pudding cake was a nice way to end a delicious dining experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Like many of us on the East Side, I had long awaited the opening of The Treehouse. I watched the local artisan-crafted furniture and tableware arriving, saw menu teasers, and spied on the construction over the fence on my way to 5 spot dancing. After my first visit, The Treehouse certainly did not disappoint! My friend and I were lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar so we could watch everything that was going on in the open kitchen. (Note to whomever those girls were watching said kitchen by pressing their faces to the stained glass window from the patio: the bar is how you do it. Your way was creepy.) I started with a glass of cava and a high-grav for my beer only companion. The drink list and wine selection was well thought out and featured several great choices that won't break the bank. We had several dishes, all delicious, but the tiradito was definitely my favorite. The flavors popped and the presentation was stunning. We ran out of appetite before we ran out of dishes we wanted to try so we will definitely be returning. I would recommend The Treehouse to anyone who wants to stay in the Points (because, let's face it, who ever wants to cross the river?), and have a great meal, or share a small dish and a bottle of wine with friends.

It's a cozy little spot in an old renovated home. Very warm and welcoming inside on a chilly December night. We sat at the bar and had excellent service while watching the bustle of the kitchen. Tried one fancy cocktail, the "Don't mind if I do" and it was tasty if a little boring. Good beer selection (two choices from Green Flash). The ceviche was pretty good - root veggies, flounder, and potato chips made for an interesting take. The mussels were pretty good too, but the short ribs by far stole the show. Served in a sauce reminiscent of Oaxacan mole, dusted with sesame seeds and a side of carrots. Maybe just get two of those.

Went there last night after slumming it at 3 Crow. Want to munch on some foods and found The Treehouse to be the perfect combination of late-night eats and relaxed atmosphere. Not so high end that you can't bust out a good laugh, but high end enough that the guy next to me ordering a Coors Light had to pick a better high-gravity beer. Also, the other guy next to me was unable to procure a Vodka+Red Bull. Suck it. Anyway, I digress. Service was superb and attentive, Mariel made great suggestions on what to order. We had a fry bread (daily special) with apple butter, onion, grilled romaine. We had a pickle plate with some of the most delicious kim-chi I've had outside of K-Town in Los Angeles... Really thick cut of pickled cabbage. Cocktails were pricy but smart and well-made. I would recommend STARTING your night at The Treehouse with one of these so you can enjoy the taste and not get over-boozed like my classy lady friend accomplished.

Fantastic. We ordered several drinks and food items, and all was excellent. My wife said that the tamale was the best she's ever had, but the soup (I can't recall the technical name for it) stole the show. Absolutely amazing! I'm by no means a mushroom guy, but I'm going to remember those shiitakes for a long time!

The Treehouse reminds me of a mini City House, but a tad more intimate. Excellent vegetarian options. We started off with the queso in a roasted squash. Excellent cheesy goodness with a bit of spice accompanied by some toasty bread and then you get the creamy roasted squash that scoops out like butta for the finale. LOVED this dish! The quinoa salad was quite tasty and had a lot of flavors going on, as well. Fresh greens, grapefruit, red pepper, almonds, a zingy dressing- delish! The empanadas were the star of the show- perfectly fried and doughy with a generous gooey inside of black beans, caramelized onions and cheese. Seriously yum! I did not care for the frito pie even though it sounded good in theory. I think the shredded pork was the downside for me, it just didn't go with the dish. Sometimes junk food staples don't bode well when recreated in an elevated way. The dishes were small, but enough for 2 to share. Reasonably priced and super cozy- great for a date night!

Our group of 5 ate here last night. We arrived at 7.00pm with no rezzie - hence a 40 min wait, the hostess was very attentive offering outside drinking and waiting under the heater or loitering at the bar, we opted to go somewhere else for 40 mins until she called us. The interior is quite lovely and rustic with community seating hence the wait, lots of couples sharing a table, it is a small space. I have to agree with Mark G the dining space is too noisy and coupled with the music at that extreme volume made me feel stressed wishing to be anywhere but there. I just was not sure if I was in a bar or a restaurant. Our server was attentive at just the right level, we did not feel neglected or over fussed. No pretension which was cool. Fry Bread $8 with Salmon Mousse - light, tasty and the portion had 5 pieces and yes one of us who shall remain nameless licked the plate. Carrots -$11 Mole, soybean, red onion, cheese, sesame - delicious, we wanted more Kale and Quinoa $10 with citrus and almonds - tasty and fresh Ceviche $14 - fish was "not cooked", need more time to turn, yuca was soggy. No spice and very dull limey taste. No one fought over this one. Empanadas $10 - two large ones - pastry cooked well but lacked seasoning, they could have been great. Fish and Chips $12 - Just OK, this just did not need to be on the menu and felt out of place. Prawns$19 - massive prawns in a tasty sauce, black bean fritter was more of a mush. We skipped desserts as this music was really grating by now and a nervous breakdown was imminent. 7 House cocktails around $10 and some high gravity draughts, drews brews and teas from the High Garden. All in all I think this will turn into a nice spot. We were not asked for any feedback on the food but I do believe it is important, some dishes may need refining, the cocktails were OK but did not really pack a punch. We left feeling this was a cross between the Wild Cow and Cityhouse, Open until 1.00am ....about 6 seats barside.

Service was TOP NOTCH. Server was attentive to the fact that my date was gluten free and vegan and quick to offer suggestions. On a side note I have hated Brussels sprouts my entire life and I am now in love with them. If they're on the menu try them! If in the mood for a drink try the Medicina Latina. Its awesome. Peppery, ginger, sweet and hard to drink just one. Matt has done a great job!

I was excited to check this place out and when a Yelp deal appeared, I jumped on it. PROS: Ambiance - unique design concept and comfortable outdoor seating area. Also, check out the bathroom - it was super stylish. Drinks - I ordered the Margarita which was delicious. It was like a traditional Margarita combined with a Pisco Sour (two of my favorite drinks) Flavors - everything we ordered (Plantains and Salmon) was tasty. The Plantains were nothing to brag about (fried plantains, black beans with crema) and something I could have easily whipped up at home. Same goes for the salmon, nothing special, but cooked well. The arugula salad, which came with the salmon, was the only item that caught my attention. The hint of cumin was unexpected and the flavors all worked well together. It is worth noting that the salad is advertised as "arugula, quinoa", but the quinoa was basically a sprinkling and not of any substantial amount to warrant being mentioned in the ingredients the way it is. CONS: Service - our server was just not friendly and a bit "too cool for school". C'mon guys, a restaurant is the quintessential service industry and friendliness is non-negotiable. Also, they are strict about substitutions such as changing arugula (which is just way too bitter for me) to some other green. I understand being true to your vision, but within reason. Portion size - The Salmon dish for $22 had a very small portion of salmon and an equally small portion of arugula salad.

I really wanted to like the Treehouse. But... both the cocktails and the meal were disappointing. 10 bucks for about 3 ounces of a mixed drink, and 22 for flavorless greens with a small piece of very bland fish. My party of five left feeling that the meal was overpriced for mediocre food. For two days after I had stomach cramps and the runs, so I would say mediocre is an overstatement. Spend your time and money at one of the better East Nashville spots like Margot, Lockland Table, Marche or even Five Points Pizza. Trust me, you will leave much happier than if you had gone to Treehouse.

We stopped by for a few drinks and appetizers. The fish tacos were good... A unique combination. We ordered wine and a mixed drink. Overall, quality = A-, Service = B+, cleanliness = A. Value = C. The server was attentive. Drinks are precisely measured to the fraction of an ounce....understandable to a degree, but the quantity did not match the price or quality of the beverages. Overall, worth a visit.

Alright, people. It's pretty good. First things first: the menu has taste, and there aren't many restaurants in Nashville that truly compare. It's one of the few east side restaurants that serve a full menu late night - 12:30 on weekdays, 2:30 on Fridays & Saturdays. They have Green Flash beers on tap. The IPA is one of my favorites, and I'm pretty sure this was the first time I've found it on tap (at a place that doesn't have 50+ beers) in Nashville. It was $5 - right price. I ordered the black bean empanadas. Very filling. Crema was pretty good. Treehouse hot sauce was great. $10. The food is slightly overpriced and the service was slow. But they're new and it will probably get better. They claim the back area will eventually have a treehouse that can be utilized, but for now, it's just for show.

Should we ever come again? That was the question we asked as we were leaving. We've been here 4 times now and despite my desire to love this place I just can't. The treehouse, rustic wood, open kitchen are all nice but the food just misses. While imaginative, the dishes lack basic spice and seasoning. 3 times now we've had steak ordered medium rare and its been well done. Could it be the chef changes the menu too often for the line cooks to keep up or maybe they just need new help. For the price, there is too much nearby that's better. The ambience is loud as the acoustics of the main room reverberate everything and they play loud music (think led zeppelin). Food wise, its bland. Example their frybread. Why fry it? It becomes oil soaked and masks any ingredients and for gods sake never put black bean puree on a pizza like item. Take fry bread and roll an extra thin pizza dough and bake it. Light, crisp and delicious. Wake up guys, I want to love you

The best food I have ever had. I mean ever. Loved the ambience and the set up of this place and it's my favorite place in all of Nashville. I see people saying the service was a little off at first but remember, it's a new restaraunt, there were kinks to iron out. I personally have never had an issue here and can't recommend it enough. This isn't just a restaraunt, it's a dining experience. The chef is absolutely phenomenal and I love the steak. Bravo Treehouse!

I want to love (or at least like) this place since it is 2 blocks from my house, unfortunately all four visits have been really disappointing. Location: great spot, thoughtfully restored and well decorated. I don't prefer community seating, but it is well done here and not too much of a turn off. Drink: sigh. The cocktail list is limited and the bartender does not invite collaboration to ensure that the customer receives a satisfactory (and expensive) cocktail. The first time we visited there were one a few cocktails and all contained gin and whisky, a gin and tea cocktail sounded tasty but I dislike gin so I asked if vodka or bourbon could be substituted-- an eye roll and a 'I will see if the bartender will do this' later and I am stuck with a lackluster cocktail. Later visits revealed an equally disappointing list (the drinks are just poorly conceived) and still few and unimpressive wine options. Food: the most disappointing. Many of the dishes sound delicious and we have tried quite a few, but expect for the steak they have all been very poorly executed. Dry and bland tamales, undercooked beets, sloppy stew-type entrees and fishy ceviche. Service: we have had both great and not so great experiences. My biggest gripe is the insistence that food come out 'tapas style' which, at treehouse, means one dish at a time. My boyfriend and I went for a late night bite at 11, he ordered the frito pie and I ordered the tamales. When taking our order we were told that the dishes would be sent out one at a time because they were meant to be shared, and though we insisted we weren't sharing (and we were 2 of only 5 customers), the server (who might have been the owner) INSISTED. So, we say there and I watched him eat, them be watched me eat. Staggering should be a suggestion, not a requirement. Overall, a lot of kinks that seem to be sticking around a bit too long.

Horrible service. There were two separate waitresses that tried to take our order twice, and the one that did took it and never returned. I ordered coffee and they gave me a French press, told me to let it steep and when I kept trying to pour it the water was cold and the coffee was basically tinted water. After waiting a long time to get our waitresses attention(who never came back until we finished our meals) we finally got the cooks attention who condescendingly told me he put hot water in the French press, acting like I was lying to him about the cold temperature of the coffee. I noticed two other cooks whispering and making offensive hand gestures in our direction as well. The food was good but not astounding and the service was awful.

Twice in one night! This started as a Last minute decision of where to eat before a concert and it was an awesome one! There was a wait but the hostess was super cool to get us a table inside since we just wanted appetizers and a drink so she put us in a table that had a reservation on that table right after us. (They hand made the tables which is a cool side note) we had the simple Salad, pineapple and pork belly.... And it rocked! Drinks were stellar, the medicina Latina and some frothy pink drink. We hauled ass to the show and decided to come back for the late night menu afterwards and this time sat outside in a whimsical folkart atmosphere that couldn't have been any cooler. Great music and late food, which you can't always find. We had plantains, lamb neck and this time Hi-gravity beers which totally kicked my ass so we uber'd home. 5 stars twice in one night. My new favorite restaurant!

Food was fairly terrible overall. We tried about 50% of the menu with a large group and nobody was overwhelemd. Waitress charged our friend $8.00 for orange juice for a 6yr old. One of our friends received a bill for six kale salads when she had none. Plates sat on our table for 45 minutes after we ate, finally our friend gathered them up and handed them to someone. Probably because nobody could eat the food and they thought we were still eating. Bills were all way too much due to "old pricing on the menu." Wow, total disaster.

A friend took me out here for a birthday dinner last night. We had a lovely meal on the whimsical outdoor patio. Our server and other staff we encountered were very helpful (a special drink request, menu suggestions, and answering our questions about the treehouse). I enjoyed the okra in sourgum with roasted peanuts and a small but incredibly delicious and filling entree of frito chili pie. The bathrooms are fun so be sure to stop in. And, if the second level of the treehouse isn't being used, climb up and pretend to be a kid again!

You'll love it for the slow-conversation-inducing-pace and stay for the mussels and empanadas! Splendid!!! Save this for when you aren't time crunched. Besides... Why are you in a hurry anyhow? Experiences are meant to be enjoyed not rushed ;)

Alright. First of all, I love this place. It's so charming. The lights and natural wood make it glow. It was the sweetest little room on such a chilly night. I would recommend going here with 4-8 of your friends. The Treehouse is tiny, so it's not really conducive to large groups. With that being said, since it is tiny it can get sort of loud which is why it would be best enjoyed with friends and lively conversation rather than an intimate evening among lovers. Be sure to make reservations since space is limited. Really, I wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars. Here's why. 1/2 of our food was amazing, 1/2 of it was not. I loved the beet salad. The quinoa was wonderful. They also have a really lovely cheese plate. The lambs neck was gross--I thought I was going to have one of those moments where you cut into it the wrong way and it goes flying across the table (did not happen, but it could have). The signature cocktails are fine, but not great. If you really want a cocktail I would recommend sticking with old classics. However, you would be best served if you stuck with wine, whiskey, or scotch--really, anything that can be poured straight out of the bottle. They have a limited but wonderful selection of wines, whiskies, and scotches. With that being said, even though my eating experience wasn't the best, my dining experience was wonderful. I will be back. The space is so charming and the service is excellent. And in the company of good friends it feels a little like going home. We had such a lovely time. When I go back I'm going to have wine and stick with the veggies, which will probably prompt a 5 star review.

Treehouse rocks! I enjoyed everything and the décor! We had kale salad with almonds, flank steak and fry bread. A couple of glasses of Pinot Noir. A perfect dinner with friends and family. Great job!! I can not wait to come back.

This is a great tapas bar with a good ambiance. They have a good drink selection and are very gluten free friendly. We will definitely be back!

Came here because Lockeland table was having a private party. Actually the people of lockeland table told me to go here after I said I just wanted the best food I could buy. I'm a meat eater but I'll eat salads if they're extraordinary. The quinoa and Kale salad is out of this world, and the Salmon is the best I have ever had. Medium rare with a crusty salty skin that melts in your mouth like crispy salty heaven!!! Omg I'm in love with this odd little vegetarian, vegan, fish, pork and steak place! ;)

My husband and I were super excited to visit this well liked restaurant. We made reservations for 8. We sat at the bar which I preferred and ordered appetizers and dinner at the same time. We ordered home fries for starters and they were great. Then twenty minutes later our main dishes came out. A little too long of a wait for us. My cauliflower steak was well seasoned but the grain side was undercooked and the whole almonds were a little much for me. My husband ordered the steak and that was tough. The service was okay. I'd hoped that the bartender would have been friendly since we were right in front of him the entire time. Not worth returning, there are plenty of others to try. Sorry treehouse :(

AWFUL. My girlfriend and I stopped here for dinner around 6:30 last night and found a mostly empty restaurant except for a few folks at the bar and two women sitting at the end of a 6-person "community table." There was plenty of seating available, yet for some reason we were asked to sit directly next to the two women, putting us in the middle of the community table. When we said no, the hostess told us we could sit at the other end of the table but would have to move when more people came in. "We're normally really busy the first hour we open" she said. WTF? Anyways... for some reason we decided to stay for dinner. The beer list contained a whopping 3 choices, none of which were local or enjoyable. For dinner we ordered the pork tamales and chicken mole; both were overpriced and underwhelming. The chicken was dry and bland. The pork was tasty but there was hardly any used in the filling. We spent over $50 on the meal and still left hungry. Really the only good part of our experience was the waitress who was very helpful and attentive. I realize that this is a new restaurant but there are a number of issues that need to be addressed if this place plans on staying open more than just a few months. Needless to say, we will not be coming back.

My wife and went there for a belated Valentine's dinner. The menu is on the expensive side but not outrageous; it also quite accessible with clearly marked vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. The $10 after 10 pm menu looks like a great value. I got the cocktail flight which was really nice, especially for the price. My wife order wine by the glass which was a bit pricey but very delicious. I got the pork shoulder which was tender and full of flavor. My wife got the steak with chimichuri, which was outstanding - seriously one of the best dishes we've tasted in a long time. The service was great - attentive but not overbearing. We got there early on a weeknight, so there was plenty of seating. If you come during a busy time, you will might have to share a table with some strangers, which wouldn't bother me, but it does bother others. All in all, great food, cocktails, service and a fun atmosphere.
