While planning my wedding, I discovered this gem. A place where I could accommodate 75 people for the wedding and reception without spending a ton of money. This bed and breakfast was perfect. Central location, adequate parking, the house reserved for the day. Plus food and alcohol. Richard was super nice and easy to deal with. He did a wonderful job catering. He even included a night's stay in one of the rooms with complimentary breakfast the next morning. Even if you just want to stay in a bed and breakfast I would strongly recommend this place. Our guests could not stop complimenting on the location.

My daughter and I stayed with Richard in March and it was terrific! The location is extremely convenient to anything you'd want to see in Nashville. The home is large and comfortable. Richard is a charm and very accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. And the kitchen is open all day for cold beverages and coffee. The room was perfect for us. Overall the hospitality made it a very special experience. I generally avoid B&Bs but Richard may have changed my mind. He offered great advice on what to see and where to eat. He made us feel welcomed and even taught my 20 year old how to make a great egg sandwich which she now does every morning! If you want a place just a few minutes from downtown, with parking and comfort, please stay here. You'll be very pleased!

My wife & I were in Nashville last Fall and stayed at The Timothy Demonbreun House. We stayed in the spacious Game Room and enjoyed the extra space - not to mention the rest of the elegant, historical house. Although our bed was not the most comfortable the first night, Richard actually went out and bought a new mattress for our second night. (Nice touch.) Yes, the second night's sleep was great. The second "B" is for Breakfast and I must say that Richard is quite the chef. Not only was the food delicious, but there was also a generous amount of it - he even offered seconds! The coffee, made with filtrated water, was rich tasting and full-bodied - yes, we indeed had seconds. Although it was too chilly for us (in October), he has the only pool and in-ground hot tub at a Bed and Breakfast we've encountered. If you're traveling to - or through - Nashville, check out The Timothy Demonbreun House. Richard is a gracious host who wants to be sure each guest is satisfied and enjoys their stay.

The beautifully restored TImothy Demonbreun House B&B has a variety of rooms from a casual "game room" complete with multiple beds, card table, billiards, wide screen TV, to sumptuous single rooms with claw footed bathtubs, live like a queen! There's a pool in the yard, which has a slide, and a spa in a beautifully landscaped backyard. I was there in May and the Azaleas were in bloom. Plenty of outdoor furniture and an arbor with a swing. This business does not accept credit cards. If you have not paid by check, be prepared to make a run to the bank for cash. Everything must be paid for in cash. Richard Demonbreun, the current owner, is a descendant of the first white settler in Nashville. There's a newspaper article on the wall outside the Cabernet Room detailing the cave on the river that Timothy Demonbreun lived in with his family during the winter. The Cabernet room is the stuff you only dream of, with a sleigh bed, shower and claw foot tub. The Merlot room, although smaller on the second floor, has it's own fireplace and four post bed. The Game Room is on the third floor or attic with a variety of sleeping options. A great choice for a family with children as there's plenty of room to play in. Breakfast is included and oh, boy, you better be planning on getting some exercise. You simply sign up in the kitchen for when you would like breakfast and Richard prepares it for you. Catching a 6:00am flight? No problem breakfast will be ready for you. The breakfast is custom made for each person, fresh fruit with a dollop of whipped cream, hotcakes, scramble eggs, bacon, fruit juice, english muffins, toast. OOOF! If you are in the know ask Chef Richard for his special omelette. This is a very quiet house, if you have noisy children or you are a naturally loud person, this is not the B&B for you. After 4 stressful weeks of traveling, it was wonderful to be someplace so very quiet. The care put into this beautifully restored house is evident in every corner. Don't forget to ask to visit the wine cellar which is actually the original water cistern for the house. 28 feet of spiral staircase into the wine cellar, a must see.

My fiance and I stayed at this lovely b&b in Nashville at the end of a business trip in January 2014. It is a beautifully restored home -- spacious and elegant -- in a quiet residential neighborhood close to downtown hotspots. The owner, Richard, was very helpful. He recommended places to eat and go out. And, when I became ill the morning we were set to leave, he was even so kind as to drive us to the airport so we could relax instead of taking a cab. I'd definitely recommend the b&b for a romantic getaway or just an alternative to impersonal hotels.

Spoke with owner on Friday, 3/1, told him I wanted a room for Saturday, 3/16, sent off check for full amount on Monday, 3/4 (he only accepts checks or cash -no electronic payments), today 3/11 received check returned to me saying he gave the room to someone else because he didn't receive my check til Wednesday or Thursday and figured I wasn't going to be staying there. The least he could have done was call or email...he had my number, my husband's number and my email address. Won't ever be staying at this place.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend trip to Nashville. The house is beautifully restored. Our room was very nice, super clean and comfortable. We found the owner, Richard easy and helpful. As first timers to the area he was on hand for tips and directions. Breakfast was yummy and seconds were offered. Our room was quiet and we had a great weekend.

We had rented the home for our wedding weekend, its a beautiful location but the owner was not helpful with the wedding, we were told there was a caterer and a staff of servers, and a head chef, it was just himself the entire weekend and we ran out of food for my wedding reception, the meat was undercooked and un edible. He urged us a coordinator was not necessary but the day of the wedding refused to follow the timeline and argued with our coordinator, it was a mess. Just make sure you get all the facts before renting the venue for a wedding. We stayed at the house for the weekend, it is truly comfortable and beautiful. But not for a wedding, he lied to us and told us he rented a parking lot and thats why we were paying $150 for valet plus 20% gratuity, he had his son park all the cars in the street and they were in my wedding pictures. The Bartender was never at the bar, and the appetizers to be passed by the $300 in servers we hired were sat in the kitchen on a counter out of sight, the food was not fresh and came out of cans. Bed and Breakfast YES!! Amazing....wedding venue oh goodness no no no. We were tempted to contact him and decided it just wasnt worth it.
