We woke up on a Sunday morning & decided to run a couple errands. We were craving Thai food so we thought about hitting up Thai Taste. We would be in the area & we always enjoyed it. I looked to see their hours, recently they'd have odd hours. I checked the website & found they'd actually closed about a year & a half ago! It looks like a new Thai place has opened up in it's place, Thai Ville. We decided to give it a try. We stopped in around noon on Sunday & there was one couple at a different table. Not very busy, but that didn't detour us, I mean it's only been open for about 4 months by my calculations. We were greeted warmly & sat at a table & our drink order was taken. If you'd been to Thai Taste, the interior will be very familiar. They haven't change much. It's a nicely appointed restaurant for the age of the building. As we skimmed the menu (all with pictures), the owner stopped by & introduced himself & told us what dishes were his favorite & how this food is different than the other Thai places in Nashville. We decided on the crab Rangoon as an appetizer, I ordered the Pad Kee Mao & Phillip ordered some kind of pork dish. They've got a lunch & dinner price. There's about two dollars in price difference on the items. I told the server I wanted the lunch portion, seeing as it was lunchtime & I wasn't wanting a huge plate of food. She told us that on the weekends is only dinner portions. I thought that was a little odd but I figured we be getting a huge plate of food. The crab Rangoon came soon after. You can really tell they care about presentation here. They use a lot of flowers carved out of carrots & other vegetables. The crab Rangoon was okay. The won tong paper was really thick so it was kind of hard to bite into. I like it when the paper is more delicate & inside crab stuff is fluffy. The food arrived after we were done with the crab Rangoon. The "dinner" portion we got looked more like a lunch portion. I think the lunch/dinner portion on the weekend is probably just to make a few extra bucks. The menu didn't have anything on it about no lunch options on the weekend, however on the website, the new menu says dinner is from 11am-9pm on Saturday & Sunday. I enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao. The noodles were cooked well & the chicken was seasoned. I asked for spicy but it wasn't very spicy so we got the 3 little containers of spices. The bell peppers were a little soft for me. Overall I enjoyed the meal. I would've liked the paper on the crab Rangoon to be a little lighter, & next time I'll come when it's actual lunchtime, during the week only.

So when you drive up it's not inspiring. Across from a booze & tobacco place as well as in the "lots of trashed used cars" district. Follow the street address & trust that tan building is Thai Ville. And safe. Our group had the vegetable & Spring rolls (awesome) a green curry, a noodle dish I can't spell, & of course pad Thai. All was anywhere from good to excellent. Price was good too. Service was great. One nice, tiny lady kept things moving. I'll be back. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Excellent service from the owners. Very personable and they always make it enjoyable. The location is iffy for most, thus the 4-stars, but their food and service is some of the best in Nashville. I've been here several times since back when it was Thai Taste, and always my food is very good and comes out quickly. When I ask them for native hot, they don't hold back! Panang Curry, Pad Thai, spring rolls....all fantastic. If I'm ever nearby, its my go-to Thai place.

Clean, Kind people, and Great food. The food was spicy yet flavorful regardless of how much spice you pile on your dish. Honestly the best Thai food I've ever tasted.

Truly great dining experience. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. I had fried spring rolls, curry, Thai tea and mango rice and all of it was excellent. This will definitely become a common stop for me.

I stopped by this place after I saw it had just opened and thought I'd give it a try. I am really glad I did. It's without a doubt the best Thai I've ever had. The massamom was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. The owner Savilia and I had a long conversation since the restaurant wasn't busy. Nice atmosphere, friendly people, amazing food. Definitely five stars.

My husband and I love Thai food, but don't love driving all the way across town to get to Smiling Elephant or Phooket Thai. We couldn't wait to try Thai Ville when it opened just a few miles from our house, and we definitely weren't disappointed. The staff is so friendly and attentive, making sure that you have absolutely everything you need. The food was really excellent, and super fresh- the vegetables and herbs taste like they were just picked fresh from the garden. I don't like a lot of spice myself, but my husband says it's legit. The portions are generous, but I hope one day we'll have enough room to try the delicious sounding desserts. Can't say enough good things about this place- give it a try!

Dinner prices at 2pm? That's what they charged me for Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao). I much prefer the Pad Kee Mao at Thai Phooket, more saucy and veggie. This seemed like just soy sauce and hot sauce, with mostly just green beans for veggies -- and it's a small portion. I had tofu as the meat, and they used those pre-fab tofu cubes that I don't like as much as actual slices of fried tofu. I asked for medium hot and it was just perfect for my taste, but probably too hot if you're not used to Thai food. I'll probably be back to try other dishes since it's nearby.

I have never had an experience of a meal quite like this. From the family's unique charm, to their food's authentic taste, it was an amazing meal. First I will focus on the food's native flair. I had two companions with me. One of my companions had the garden salad, with a orange and pineapple dressing, and the other had the beef tiger-tear salad. They were very satisfied from all I could tell. For our main courses, I had the pad Thai, it was the best pad Thai I had ever had. My associates had both the panaing curry, a creamy and spicy dish served with chicken and rice, and the Pad Se Ew a dish served with vegetables and brown noodles. All of this seemed to please them. The family was very friendly, our server, who was one of the two sisters, was one of the most friendly people I have ever met. She helped us with all of our decisions. From the call we made, we knew that they would have southern hospitality with another country's love towards foreigners. All in all, whether this is an introduction to Thai food, or you are a seasoned veteran towards the scrumptious tastes of Thai food, this is an amazing meal! I'm coming back!

For the last several years, my wife and I would visit this location when it was called Thai Taste. We liked the location as it was close to our home and the food was always good. The problem was Thai Taste would often be closed and never seemed to keep steady hours and then it closed. We were very happy to see that new owners took over the location. It is now called Thai Ville and we recently visited the new restaurant. We were greeted by a very polite server who told us about his family moving here from Bangkok and how long they had been open. From the first bite, we knew we had found a winner. We ordered a variety of dishes to try as many items as we could. We started with Thai tea and it was creamy and the tea flavor was perfect. Sometimes the Thai tea can be harsh or taste too strong. This was excellent. I ordered Tom Yum with shrimp and my wife ordered Miso Soup. The Tom Yum broth was so flavorful and rich. I can't remember a better experience with Tom Yum. It's usually either too spicy hot or too salty but this was just perfect. The Miso was also very rich and perfectly seasoned. I ordered Chicken Satay and they generous portion was cooked exactly how I like it and the peanut sauce was excellent. The peanut sauce had to be homemade. My wife ordered tiger tears salad and it was very flavorful the seasoning was a great combination of sweet and savory. I ordered Red Curry with shrimp. Red Curry is one of my go-to's at Thai restaurants so I've had many. The curry in this one was so amazing that I found myself desperately trying to get the last drop of the curry out of the serving bowl. Chalk it up to a very good chef, very fresh and top notch ingredients and wonderful service, but I think I've found my new Thai restaurant in Nashville. I can't give Thai Ville enough stars. Great job!
