Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

My family ate here the other day it was clean, our waitress was nice and attentive, even though it was packed. I had a black and blue burger cooked medium well. It was a bit greasy but good overall. I would go back.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The service was terrible: our drinks were never refilled, they brought me the wrong dish and never brought the dish of one of my dinner mates, she couldn't answer any questions about the drink or food menus, and the bartender was extremely rude. The only reason the management of this store still have jobs is just the sheer volume of people who go through that mall. I would rather be shot in the face, or even eat at a ruby Tuesdays, than eat here again.

I had never been to this place but it was an OK place overall. The place was dark and was staffed by kids. Took them at least 20 min for them to come ask us if we were ready to order, even though none were doing a thing. The guy that helped us was honestly flirting with my gf while I was there. No sweating it though, she came home with me. lol. But anyways, I didn't know what to order so the guy recommended the burger with the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, or whatever it was. It was just a bunch a greasy oil that didn't do anything but make it hard for me to eat without dripping. My gf had the greatest of experiences, knowing she was getting me upset a lil. The waiter would come to our table and take her request for a refill on a drink and I'd be empty and he wouldn't even try. Finally, we left this place and I was finally able to go get something actually worthy of the price charged. A burger from Jack in the Box. Sophisticated, HAA!! That place is crap.

This was my best TGIF experience ever! Back home, when I lived in VA, I went almost weekly, well mainly because the bar was in close proximity, but I digress. Living in the DMV, TGIF is like a staple, so I have eaten there more than I care to note, but here (pardon my run-ons), the food was better and our waitress was hands-down THE Best (I, surprisingly never knew her name - She was a short, Black woman with this rocking loc'd hairdo - I need to check back on the receipt!)! What she did so worthy of praise, outside of being attentive (we didn't have to ask for anything), and engagingly friendly: 1. She got my toddlers food out first! She put his food in front of me, and said, "this should keep him calm and occupied, so when your food comes out you can eat hot food"...now come on! :-) That in itself was worth 18%tip to me! She was surely a mother, thoughtful, and I think I love her! 2. The chef forgot the sausage for my husbands' crazy stacked coleslaw, hickory-smoked burger (can't remember the name), and one mention of this mishap and she handled it promptly (not saying are you sure you don't taste sausage??), and once corrected my hubby was in heaven on earth! 3. She kept my soda-loving stepsons' drink full, and that's a feat in itself. All-in-all, my stepson had the JD Chicken sandwich, and kept saying, "mmmm, this is SO good", and I thoroughly enjoyed my Stacked (thousand island sauce) burger meal, and my picky toddler punished his mac-n-cheese (i had to try it and was in awe of the grade of sharp cheese) and fries, and my husband cleaned all of our burger plates! :-) A great lunch was had by all - my toddler even asked for more macncheese and fries before bed (should've taken those leftovers!). We will go back to this location for sure, and ask for that same server by name. Btw, the place was packed, but we only waited 15 minutes for a seat, and 15 minutes later the food was rolling in! Impressive, especially at a mall! My only complaint was the hostesses. They were rude and almost deterred my visit, but my husband quickly reminded me that after our name was called we didn't have to interact with them again - glad I listened...my waitress and food were so outstanding, my rating wasn't indicative of that nasty first impression.

I have been here a few times. My review is based on my experience yesterday primarily. I went with a friend. Was seated quickly but took several minutes before someone came for our drink order. I am a rewards member so I got the free chips and salsa. My chips did not seem to be done entirely so a few were chewy. I ordered a house long island however all you really taste is the sour mix so probably wont do that again. Our entrees arrived and my chicken and shrimp looked pitiful. A tiny piece of chicken and five shrimp that had seen better days. The macaroni and cheese was the only really decent part of the food. I asked for cocktail sauce so I could choke them down however i had to ask a second time to get it. For a dinner that was 30 dollars....in a mall.....i expected better...even from a chain. It is a shame the TGI Fridays in Midtown nashville closed as it was vastly superior to this one in both employee quality and food.

Friday's have done an awesome job with the "Give me more stripes club" ! I almost have a coupon for something free! They offer amazing specials Sun, Tues, Wed, Thurs from $3 long islands to $3 apps! I always sit at the bar and they do $2 Miller Lite, Bud Light, & Coors Light almost all the time. I had kinda forgot about them but they are trying hard to make a comeback. Always sit at the bar it's open seating.

Wow, I'm surprised at how negative the reviews are. I thought the hostess was really pleasant- she asked how my day was going so far and was willing to let me have a booth even though I was just one person. The booth was very comfortable. My server was good and she was patient with my indecision. The green bean fries were excellent- and very hot too which stood out to me- at other locations back home they are often lukewarm. I didn't care for my expensive crusher drink- cherry, limeade, pomegranate, sprite combination but it was worth a try. The salted caramel cake is delicious. It's a pretty small piece of cake and comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a bunch of caramel sauce. I really liked the flavor and texture and would totally get it again (maybe tomorrow!) ;) The prices were reasonable- they have great daily specials (Wednesday is half price appetizers) and if you are a Stripes member they always have good benefits and coupons. I have stopped going to Fridays at home but was happy with this location. I also like that the restaurant is right by the shuttle pickup for the Opryland- very convenient. I hope people give this place a better try!

TGI Fridays is typically "just another chain restaurant" for me but I felt compelled to review this location due to some horrible service that I received. Waitress Attitude Alert: 1. She wandered away after long periods of time 2. When she asked if we were ready to order, and we said yes, she walked away without taking the orders 3. When a drink order came out wrong, instead of saying "I will fix it" like any normal person, she tried to argue 4. Once she realized her mistake, she stated that our party all looked exactly the same so she couldn't be held responsible for the mistake 5. When it was tip time, she said she had been there all day Tough. You know us white girls, we are all the same!

Not to impressed... Bar service was good but the food was so so.. We ordered chicken and shrimp with potatoes. Chicken was dry and potatoes were the only good thing!! Also the walkway through to the bathrooms was slippery. There was also areas that were empty and the floor dirty! Yuck won't be back

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
