I'm in the minority for a positive review and I don't understand the bad reviews for Sushi Me. (people who disagree): Wait, hold up Jennie...you sure about that? Yes, I've an opinion and I'm gonna count the reasons why. Take it or leave it. :) This place has the best sushi in Nashville. Hands down. Since I live around Nashwood (that line where Nashville and Brentwood meet), I don't feel the need to venture all the way out to Downtown or Brentwood (lazy!) to get my sushi fix. Gas ain't cheap yo and public transportation is a complete joke around these parts of town. So it's kind of hard to find a good sushi spot. Peter's is always busy, Hanabi...just no, Miyako..still need to hit that place up, Sushi O Sushi..it's been awhile I need to check it out again, Samurai...Wild Wasabi..Sam's..and Rusans are a little out of the way. However, Sushi Me changed all of that. It also didn't hurt that it's about 12 minutes away. I remembered the first time that I went with my friend. Our stomachs were famished after walking around shopping and catching up making fun of the folks we had the complete misfortune of going to high school with. We played this typical convo game that's probably all too familiar with your friends and family talking in circles if you don't have an strong opinion of where to go: Me: So, where do you wanna eat? Friend: I dunno. Where ever you wanna go is fine by me. Me: I dunno, sushi? Friend: Ok. Me: Do you wanna try out Sushi O Sushi or Sushi Me? Friend: Doesn't matter, let's get some! Me: But where? We can't be in two places at once! Friend: Haha, I'm hungry..just anything! (went on for a few more minutes until we settled on Sushi Me) Yeah, the longer we talked, the more we starved ourselves. Smdh first world problems. When you step inside, you get a modern Asian vibe with all the red, white, and black. Classy, but still casual. A full bar is there if you want your alcohol fix with a TV for sports watching. We were seated at a table and were completely overwhelmed by the sushi menu with pictures. Indecisiveness of several choices doesn't suit well with me, especially if I want to order the whole menu...which is my dream goal. Someday, it'll happen! Service was good. Maybe we always got lucky with the service? The waitress did her job by promptly checking if we're doing okay and refilled our waters. When the waitress brought out our sushi, we were like, "OMGGGG SO PRETTY!" That we didn't want to eat it, but it must be consumed. My friend and I sampled each other's rolls and LOVED every single bite. You won't be disappointed. In presentation and taste, this joint takes the cake..more than Rihanna could ever say! I had the Big Daddy, Angry Banana, Dynamite, Cabo Wabo, Playboy, Green Dragon, Love Me, Mango Tango, Black Dragon, Vampire, and Lenox on my various repeat visits. I bet the other rolls are as great too. Price ranges from $9-15. Main thing here: I'm talking about ordering off the sushi roll signature menu! If the entrees aren't up to your standards...try their sushi. PLEASE IT'S SOOOOOOO WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS! I cannot express that enough. If you don't like sushi, then you need to try it FRIED. Period. Trust me, put that on your bucket list. Why did I give it 4 stars? Because it's pricey, but worth it!

This place has pretty good food, but the atmosphere and service are lacking. The music is ridiculous: terrible awful top 40 and it is way too loud. I really don't care to be distracted by nickelback while I'm trying to eat pretty sushi. And the last time I was there, I was ready for another round of drinks and received a check instead of a question ab my finished cocktail. But like I said, if you're willing to put up with this, the food is good. I love the rolls with fruit in them. Berry berry is my fave and my boyfriend is really into the angry banana roll. Honestly though, I'll probably just continue going to sushi o sushi across the street.

We were looking for a quick Sunday night dinner so us gals could get back to work, but wanted to try something new. So we hopped in the car with our husbands and headed out to Cane Ridge to Sushime. The patio looked enticing and we originally wanted to sit outdoors. But the bugs started to gnaw, so we scurried inside. We were then ushered to a table large enough to accommodate six. Unfortunately, one of the seats placed my husband at the joint of the two tables pushed together. Since the restaurant was not busy, and there were only four of us, I was rather confused as to why we were sat at that particular table. Having already moved once, I decided not to say anything. The service was great throughout our visit, and this small place does have a pretty extensive menu. I opted for my most basic Japanese meal, starting with edamame. Unfortunately, it was awful. It seemed these beans had been allowed to ripen too long, and when boiled (or steamed) they were just too soft and lacked flavor. For the first time in my edamame history, I did not finish the bowl. I also ordered the veggie roll, in which the description stated the roll would consist of avocado and cucumber. When my plate arrived, only four of the six had avocado in them and asparagus had been added to compensate for the veggie MIA. It still tasted alright, but I wasn't thrilled that I had not been served what was "promised". My table mates seemed to enjoy their meals alright with clean plates all around. Perhaps I will just try something different if there is a next time...

Have you ever watched a movie that was so awful that it ends up being entertaining?... I wish that could be true for restaurants. I went out to eat at Sushi-me, and didn't get to eat anything... that's never happened to me. The service was so bad that it was comical. I was in a group of six, and I ordered Vietnamese noodles. All of my friends got their food, and then the server said that my dish would take a little longer. As I waited, my friends started their meals. Half way through, the server came back and said, "Sorry man, turns out we don't have that dish tonight." Then he gave me the menu back and offered to take another order. I said, "You're telling me this now? My friends are almost finished eating." Then he said, "Yeah I know, that really sucks." "????" Then I asked what they planned on doing about the inconvenience. So he left to find an answer. After another 15 mins, he came back and said, "The manager would only be willing to compensate 20% off... at the most." Moral of the story: I should've been better prepared to negotiate. "DEAL or NO DEAL?" My treatment was determined by how well I could barter... which I couldn't do very well; so they won and I ended up not getting to eat anything. I was naive think that I could order something off the menu and have it served to me. Congratulations Sushi-me; you've out-smarted me! However, I do still have one question: What is "20%" of nothing ordered? That's like saving up for your children's college tuition, without ever having any children... it's a noble sentiment, but you're keeping all the money for yourself. I wish I could have tried the food to write a review about. Maybe I will go to law school and learn about negotiation. Then I can come back; equipped to be able to order food and have it come out to me. For those who are interested in trying the place out; I can at least tell you that it smelled good. If you're lucky, you might be able to negotiate "20%" off the aroma.

Good news: The sushi is good. It is on par with Peter's and Wild Ginger. The price is fair. Bad news: You will need to bring your own toilet paper(BYOTP). The bathrooms are filthy. This may or may not be a problem for you... But I will point out that dirty bathrooms in restaurants that serve raw food are a bad idea.... I'm just saying.

My party arrived promptly at 1100a and no one was at the front to seat us. Two sushi chefs were watching us stand there but did nothing to greet us or alert the hostess of our arrival. When we went to go seat ourselves, we found the hostess cleaning up from the night before-who doesn't clean after the restaurant closes? Now let me state here that sushi me is one of my favorite places to get sushi-I've been here many times. This time was way off. It took a long time to order even though we were the only ones in the place. But once we got the order, it was weird. The roll that was to have blueberries didn't have any and never did anyone state they were out or offer a discount for a half made roll. The other rolls had ingredients that were not supposed to be there-it was a completely lazy job. I had to pop my head over the divider every time I needed the 1 waitress-she was on her laptop in the back of the restaurant. Then I went to the bathroom and you could tell it wasn't cleaned from the night before-who opens without cleaning the bathroom? This place is getting funky fast and the owners need to have some pride in what they do, otherwise everyone will find somewhere new to eat.

By far my favorite sushi place in surrounding Nashville area. We drive from Nippers Corner just to get the sushi. Great presentation and service. Freshest ingredients!!! Do know that they aren't open for lunch service (made that mistake a few times). Love love love this place :)

Stop by for lunch and got combination fried rice. It was great and I HIGHLY recommend it. The service was also really good, so if u are the area, give it a try.

Very good, so many unique rolls that taste great and at a wonderful price (for sushi). Their boxes have a ton of food, also at a great price! I would recommend this place!

My husband and I eat Sushi at least once a week and if we have the choice we always choose Sushime!! Giant gourmet rolls with scrumptious sauces and fresh fresh fresh!!! Eaten here countless times and had amazing food 100% of the time!

I love the sushi here. I was recomended a roll off of their specialty list,The Las Vegas. It did not disappoint. I have also had a Bento Box and it was FULL of food. So much food I took some hoe to my Fiance and he had a FULL meal too. The area is great and so is the atmosphere. I would recommend this place if you dont feel like going Downtown for some decent sushi.

Finally got a chance to try Sushime tonight. I'll always welcome more good sushi options in town. We had the following: Shrimp Tempura Roll - yes, it's tame... but it's also one of the best I've ever tasted Spicy Scallop Roll - slightly above average Ocean Roll - this was odd... the picture looks nothing like the description and the actual roll was like the picture, not the description. mixture of tuna, yellowtail and some others... very clean and fresh with lots of fish... recommended Eel Diablo Roll - I love unagi, and this roll delivered.. the tempura asparagus in the center really complimented everything White Snake Roll - "Is This Love?" No, sadly it was average at best... kinda disappointed, and I think David Coverdale would be too The presentation was great. Rivals some of the most expensive and trendy sushi spots I've been to around the country. Prices were average for Nashville, but the portions were great. Not too much rice, which is good. Also had a full Japanese menu. I'll have to try it sometime. Glad this place is just down the street. The bad (if I have to be picky): The ginger wasn't that good. No low sodium soy option. The chairs are not comfortable... this place needs more booths.

  • Tran T.

Pros: Drinks - the fruit teas are yummyyyy Seaweed salad - very very fresh and tasty Squid salad - average. (I prefer the one from Fulin's) Fried oysters - average. (Want really good ones? Try Whitfield's ) Calamari - delicious! (they served the tails, not the body) Chicken Yakitori - the best I ate so far!!! the sauce was so good!! Sushi Rolls - most of the rolls here are really good but my favorite are volcano and sassy rolls! Dessert - we ordered ice cream tempura, green tea ice cream and red bean ice cream. All three were really tasty but I recommend the green tea ice cream, it was delicious and not too sweet! Cons: Waiters are new and working really slow...My waiter didnt give us chopsticks or forks and dishes to eat when brought appetizers out -.- After going here twice, I have to admit the food here are very consistent which I think is very important factor for restaurants to be successful. Sushime has fulfilled this and I rate this restaurant as excellent. I will come back again in the future and hopefully the waiters will have better training!

Interior: Red and black colors, clean, and a very friendly staff. The sushi bar is right when you walk in. I'm no interior designer but the lighting of this place is perfectly lit. Big menu's with more specialty rolls than you could ever imagine! They have a few tvs with the sports games on (or did the night I was there) which was another bonus because a big playoff game was on. I feel that this 'plan' to develop this place was very well thought. Roll Report: Fireball Roll - A massive roll, with massive pieces that was recommended by server. Our fav! Baja roll- Simple (in compared to others) but the jalapeno and cilantro gave it a kick! Angry Banana Roll - Yes, you're reading that right, toasted bananas, whipcream, strawberry sauce and crab. Gross? wrong! Very dessert like. I Make sure you're a big fan of bananas (i am not) because its very very bananay. They suggested this be eaten last as a 'dessert' It's a sorta behind Lenox Village next to a big undeveloped field so its sorta tricky. They do not take American Express, but to take Visa and Mastercard. Prices: Specialty rolls are anywhere from $8.95-$11.95.

I came to Sushime with a group girls. One of the girls in the group had eaten here before and really enjoyed it. This was a great spot for a girl's night dinner. We were sat at a long, almost secluded table. They easily dealt with the separate orders. The food did come out a bit piecemeal, which for a group is a tad awkward. I am more of a sushi purist so I wasn't expecting to be amazed by the food. I wasn't amazed. I ordered some pretty basic rolls: tuna, spicy tuna, and yellow tail. I also ordered an order of salmon sashimi. My sushi wasn't bad. It was definitely better than the kind that you can find at the grocery store. If I lived in Lenox Village, I wouldn't mind eating here in a pinch. However, I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat their rolls again. The other girls each ordered two or three rolls and then shared them amongst themselves. They ordered the fancy rolls for the most part. They seemed to enjoy most of the rolls. There was only one or two that lay partially consumed at the end of the meal. They had a really awesome drink special when I visited on a Saturday night: $1 hot sake. I would come back for that deal, seriously one dollar. Our waiter was totally overworked. He brought our checks and had our credit cards long enough for us to notice: probably fifteen or twenty minutes. He wouldn't visit our table for awhile but I saw him running around like a mad man. The other girls thought he was rude. He rushed the salmon for me because I didn't order enough food, so I was a bit more grateful. Honestly I think he we just over worked.

This place is solid! Service wasn't great at first, and they have since perfected! I would recommend the Cabo Wabo, Sunkissed, Mango Tango, and Suite 28. All spectacular. You will always see celebrities here as well, especially on week nights. Carrie Underwood and Three Doors Down frequent this place. They also have brown rice for $1.00 more. The cocktails are always great. Love the pom cosmopolitan. And Thursdays are Ladies Night! Half off of all drinks til close!

The ambiance of this restaurant seems to fit the type of swank you'd find in a Lennox Village establishment. The first time I visited this restaurant the sushi was impressive. I made the mistake of trying the Pho, and as my auntie says, "I just haven't learned to appreciate it yet". The last time I visited, the sushi was again on par. I had the Love Me roll, and the Firecracker, I believe. My wife tried the Las Vegas, and the Cabo Wabo. The Las Vegas was the clear winner that night. The first visit, customer service was adequate and accommodating. Last time, not so much. I mean, if we both ordered 'spicy' rolls, wouldn't it make sense to make sure that we had water to quench the heat? And not to be nitpicky, but I'm used to at least being checked on a couple of times during the meal, before receiving the check. The Mrs. was peeved to be asked if our meal was going on the same check (did this not look like a date?). Other than that, I think Sushi Me is a decent eatery. However, I do think that we will be returning to our original favorite sushi spot around the corner to get our fix of the rawness.

I can tell the people that say this is "fresh" and "great" tasting sushi have not eaten "fresh" or "great" tasting sushi before. The first time my husband ordered their cooked sushi. It was mediocre at best. Their "signature" rolls are nothing different from every other typical 2 star sushi restaurant. The ingredients are the same, they just named it differently. I ordered their udon soup. It was okay tasting. If I have a craving for it, the place across the street makes it better. We wanted to give this place another chance because we just moved to TN. We found a high end sushi place to eat at, but we also want to find a place that doesn't require us to dress up just to eat. For the second visit, my husband ordered their beef bento box to-go (we live right upstairs), again, their food was mediocre. It's not something that screams, "order me again." However, I ordered their sashimi plater. YUCK! It was fishy and there was definitely cross contamination with their cleaning products. In other words, my sashimi had a slight taste of bleach on top of tasting fishy. After two and a half pieces, I threw it all away. Even if they offered to redo the platter, it's still coming from the same cuts of fish. No thanks and never again.

You haven't had good sushi in Nashville until you eat here! After eating here for several months, I became friends with the owner and his fiance, who is the bartender, and I can honestly say their ingredients are fresh and they want to please their customers! The rolls are packed with meat and aren't full of rice. While the service is rather slow, if you sit at the bar, you won't have any problems. Their bartender makes some mean drinks and will give you plenty of free tastings! The rolls are also very reasonably priced- cheaper than some of the other trendy sushi places around Nashville.

Stopped by here today on a whim, and it turned out to be a great find. I'm not sure about the negative reviews, but my experience here was as good as any other sushi place you can find in Nashville. They have a tremendous list of specialty rolls as well as a variety of unique appetizers. Their menu can be a bit daunting, but I appreciate the options. The patio is great on a nice warm spring day, and I wish I had a few more hours to waste away before life's responsibilities called me away. The spring rolls were a nice surprise. They are essentially Vietnamese served cold and wrapped in rice paper and stuffed with shrimp and fresh herbs. The peanut sauce they served with the spring rolls was perfect. For sushi, we tried two of the specialty rolls: "Love Me" and "Big Daddy". You can't go wrong with either roll. Tremendous presentation and excellent flavor . I've tried most of the other sushi places here in Nashville and would rank Sushi Me right up there. Give it a shot and enjoy!

We love Sushime! We go here at least once a month and usually order a few regular rolls and a few specialty rolls. It's a little pricier than Sushi O Sushi across the street, and yes, sometimes the service is a little slow, but as long as you aren't in a huge hurry, the sushi is worth it! I would stick with the sushi, though - I got their teriyaki chicken one time and I've honestly had better.

I think when you go to a restaurant - the experience is often colored by the ambiance, the table you get, the service you receive and the food you eat. Sometimes, if most everything is good you can overlook some of the other things that is not so good. So, tonight (a Wednesday Night) we had a group of 7 of us meet for dinner at 7pm. Most of us, including myself, had never been here. Three of my friends were already seated when I arrived. I found that we were seated at a table for 4. They basically crammed three people on the booth side, they added another chair to the other side of the table where the chairs were and then another one at the end of the table. It wasn't busy. There were plenty of other tables. I'm not sure why they couldn't have pulled up another table to seat us more comfortably...? They took our drink order and it took 15-20 minutes before we actually got our drinks. I guess 4 sodas and 3 waters takes that long. Appetizers were finally ordered after drinks were delivered and they come about about 10-15 minutes later. At this point, we have been seated at this incredibly uncomfortable table for about 30-40 minutes and we still haven't been able to order our meals yet. Finally we order our meals - and about 20 minutes later - the food starts to come out They bring out salads and soups. Except only 1 person got the soup - and everyone else got salads. They brought more soups than needed so they just left it at our table and told someone to eat it if they wanted. The salad was nothing but iceberg lettuce with it drowned in some dressing. And I mean LITERALLY drowning it this dressing. There was so much in my bowl it filled up half the bowl with dressing. Finally - the entrees start to come out...Except - they didn't have ANY of the sushi ready. So, half the people who ordered 'non' sushi stuff had their food. The other half didn't. We were trying to wait for our friends who had ordered sushi...but we kept waiting and waiting - and finally, our friends told us to start without them since our food was hot. Their food comes out - finally - after most of us were finished with our meal. They STILL didn't have all the sushi out yet, though. It was going to be a few more minutes before they could finally have all the sushi. The opinion of everyone that had the sushi thought it was pretty fresh and tasted pretty good. However, I got their 'Tempura Dinner' - which is supposed to consist on tempura chicken and vegetables and a warm tempura dipping sauce. The tempura chicken was nothing more than chicken strips and was very, very bland. The dipping sauce wasn't included when they brought out my meal so I had to ask for it which basically tasted like watered down soy sauce and it, too, was bland. It was quite possibly the worst meal I've had all year at a restaurant. It wasn't that it tasted BAD - it was that it didn't have a taste at all. So, to review: Service was slow The table was cramped The salad was bad The entree was bland The food didn't come out together which is never ideal - leaving others to eat (and finish) before others got their entree. Had to ask for things that supposedly came with the meal All in all - I wasn't impressed. Not with the food. Not with the service. Not with the cramped table. The ambiance was the only thing that was good for me here tonight. I could have dealt with the cramped table if the service was fast and the food was good - but it wasn't. Needless to say - SushiMe might be for you - but not for me. I won't be back.

This place has some great sushi! We got several rolls but our favorite were the Sushime Special Roll and Paradaise [That's how it's spelled on the menu] Roll. We love that they have several rolls with fruit. The service was a bit lacking but since the sushi was so good, I'll cut them some slack.

Our new "go to" sushi spot in Lenox Village, which is a compliment considering our old one wasn't bad either. Trendy interior and great sushi, it makes for a good dinner out. It's usually pretty full, but we've never had a wait. The only downside is the service can be slow and the waiters seem either undertrained on the menu or new. We never go hungry here, as it will be a wait on food and service, but everything else is great.

  • Lindz B.

This place has horrible customer service! We tried it twice had the exact same kind of experience each time. The waiter seemed distracted, even when we had him again a month later when hopefully he had more practice waiting tables. We waited forever on food and drink refills. With 3 people, he came and brought each of 3 drinks separately, a beer last, which was odd, and he left our sake in the microwave and we had to remind him to go back and get it. They forgot my salad I ordered BOTH times. Do not waste your money. There are way better sushi restaurants right down the street. Midori for one. But honestly, I'd go ANYWHERE before I paid them to wait around while they screw up my order.

I am puzzled by the low reviews. I live in the Lennox Village area and frequent Sushi Me at least twice a month and always have fantastic sushi. Their rolls are some of the best in Nashville. Always fresh. Service does vary from time to time. It can be a little slow but the food makes up for it.

Sure the food is good, but with so many great sushi places, especially sushi o sushi right across the street, why put up with the bad music, phony vibe, and clearly disgruntled servers? You feel like an inconvenience just for being there.the atmosphere is almost nice and relaxed, but then there's TVs on and top 40s music playing. Seriously, Sushi O Sushi is where it's at.

This place is awesome! I've had sushi all over this town, and this is the best! Service is great and food/drinks are delish! The outdoor patio, happy hour specials, and kids eat free on wed nite are bonuses! LOVE IT! Big Daddy roll!! Yum!

I've been to this place twice. Both times were really good. On both visits I got the Big Daddy roll. Its so good! A bit pricey for the size, in my opinion, but good nonetheless. Gave them 4 stars for the price. Is a small establishment, but wasn't busy on either visit. Cocktails were good too, but again pricey.

Mmmm....edamame and sushi. Does it get any better? Yes! Add great ambiance and quick service and you've got a great date night. My husband and I've visited Sushime at least half a dozen times since they've opened and each time it keeps improving.

I had given this place 2 trys. First time I went it took literally 20 mins to get a drink order in then another 10 for the drink to arrive. After arriving the waitress left and said she'll be back but didn't return until I flagged her down about 15 mins later. I ordered a bento and 2 specialty rolls but waited another 20 mins still nothing so I got up and left. Second I went I tried the chicken katsu, spicy tuna, and Delicious roll. The Katsu was really good but it took way too long. Tuna was average and the specialty roll was good. Sushi is mediocre but SERVICE was horrible. Will be back once they hire more experience staff!!!

I'm not a regular sushi eater so my standards are not that refined. We started with Spring Rolls (noncooked) and then had the Sunshine and Firecracker rolls. Food was good and service was attentive.

We tried this place with a group of 6 tonight. Honestly, the presentation of this sushi rivals any high end restaurant I've been to. The plates were amazing, ESPECIALLY for the price. We're big fans of sushi, and Tenno is usually our favorite. However, Sushime's quality could stand up to Virago, ad their portion sizes are better than anyone in town. Our server was Kristen, and she was great. They weren't too busy, so I'm sure that helped, but she was both friendly and attentive, and made sure our drinks were never empty. She even brought over the sushi chef for us to meet! The decor is contemporary, the prices are fair, and the food is TOP NOTCH. Well done, Sashime! We'll DEFINITELY be back.

We love this place, to the point of driving 30 mins out when there are places down the street. Every roll we've tried is delicious, the bento boxes were very well portioned and the seaweed salad always taste fresh. We call ahead an order for pick up and the food is always ready when we arrive. One of our favorite places!

Okay, I went back to this place again today. Was just as delicious as the first time. This place has 99 cent saki from 5:00pm to 6:30pm and also offers FLAVORED saki for 75 cents more. I tried the mango & watermelon sakis. They also have a happy hour exclusively for ladies: THURSDAY NIGHT 99 CENT SAKI ALL NIGHT! I also had the delicious shrimp & chicken tempura today. Out of this world! Lovin' this place!

Each time I've been to Sushime, the quality and presentation of the food has been great. Even the cheaper rolls looked like something from a high end restaurant. They definitely don't skimp on the portions, either. However, after eating here multiple times, I have to say their service is pretty consistently terrible. The only time we ever had truly good service was the first time a large group of friends and I went there.

We love this place! Great price and quality. The staff is always helpful and great! Definitely our favorite sushi place in town.

This place has amazing sushi. My husband and I moved from LA and we have tried every place in town and this is our favorite. It is a little on the pricey side for Nashville, but you can't deny the flavor and quality is worth it. They play good music and have a great patio area. Much better sushi and service than the competitor near by. We love it

Cute atmosphere, great service, and the best sushi in Nashville. The sushi is fresh and bright and has a great presentation. I also enjoy the pictures in the menu so you can see what you are ordering without asking a lot of questions. The fruit sushi choices are AMAZING. Prices are very reasonable. Great patio. Cant say anything negative!!

sushi was fresh, service was ok, but for what it was, I'd say a little pricey and for that reason, we probably won't be back very often because there are other places equally as good, if not better where we can get half price sushi at convenient times.

I had lunch with a girlfriend here using a sharing spree, and it was so delicious! We were able to both eat for under $30 and had a ton of food!

A friend invited me to try out SushiMe with them after purchasing a Groupon. It's an upscale place nestled into Lennox Village. I ordered the Yo! Mama roll, which has tempura sweet potato, salmon, and eel sauce. However the roll that came to the table had cream cheese added for no apparent reason. The waiter gladly had my roll re made and brought it in a to go box. I would rather have just taken the roll off my ticket (who eats leftover sushi?) but the waiter had a hard time understanding the request so I gave up. The menu has inventive combinations and choosing a few rolls proved difficult because everything sounded delicious. They don't skimp on ingredients or quality here. The rolls were delicious and giant. I don't think I could have finished two whole rolls. I will say all of that generosity and ingenuity comes with a hefty price tag. Our four rolls earned us a tab pretty close to $70. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was swanky. I would say to definitely check this place out on a treat yo self evening.

My wife always enjoys her sushi here, but the last few times its be middle of the road for me. This last time I got the shrimp tempura appetizer and it was good, but the vegetables were a bit soggy. My wife got a fusion sushi roll that was so overtopped with stuff that it was almost uneatable, and my sushi was just ok. I think they are better than many, and their location is perfect in Lenox village, but I wish they would just execute the basics a bit better and not spend so much time trying to recreate the wheel that is sushi. On a side note, we got a groupon for their "dinner" and went at 2pm to order dinner after and were told it was only good after 5pm. Mind you, we ordered a dinner menu, and a lot of it, and the groupon doesn't give a time, no does their menu say what time the dinner starts, I guess e were just supposed to guess.

My husband and I love to go here and get the managers sushi special. You four special rolls, Cali roll, and crunchy shrimp roll. It's definitely enough for 4-6 people, if we don't have friends or family with us the take home portion is huge! The service is the only thing keeping me from rating it with 4 stars. Sushi is very fresh and delicious. They offer a ladies night, 1/2 off all drinks.

Long story short. I placed a carry out order for 2 spicy tuna rolls and added masago (orange fish eggs). My total came to $18. EIGHTEEN DOLLARS! I'm not the person to complain about prices, but a spicy tuna roll is a basic roll. They charged me $4 for my sushi to be a sprinkle of masago. So I paid $8 for a basic roll, when a signature roll cost $10??? I no longer wanted my order but working in the restaurant business in the past, I didn't want to be "that customer." I told the server I was a regular there and have never been charged $4 for egg sprinkles. She replied, "Yeah so many things have changed here." I guess business will change too.

Average sushi joint. The menu was extremely confusing and caused me to take 20 minutes to order. They were out of cold sake. There was also bats flying everywhere. When the sushi arrived I felt it was the wrong temperature as well.

I live in Lenox Village- the neighborhood where this little sushi spot is perched- and anticipated it's arrival for weeks. I was hoping it would be authentic so when opening weekend came I was thrilled to see a banner out by the street which read, "Now We Open" The service can be hit or miss but the sushi is always good and the sushi chefs are super nice (albeit hard to understand) and always welcome you when you walk through the door. It's just like Cheers except with raw fish and and Japanese accents. A little gem on the menu is the Spicy Ramen! It's a giant bowl of ramen, veggies and a fried egg swimming in a kickin broth. It's only 6 bucks and it will get your nose running! Also tip your sushi chefs ya animals!

Always have a good experience here when I visit with gal pals. Thursday nights are half off drinks for us ladies. Never more than a couple minutes wait time. Lots of variety for the sushi with very creative names! Typically order Cabo Wabo, Love Me, and Big Daddy. The restaurant isn't fancy, but it's good sushi! I also enjoy a big bowl of the ramen noodles - full of chunky veggies and a little on the spicy side. I've got to find one of those spoons they use to serve it. Even when I've ordered it to go, it was still tasty. Casual, laid back vibe with decent service. Parking is usually crowded in Lenox Village. *** I'm intrigued with the Angry Banana - the name and the fact that it's sushi with banana in it. One day when I go back to visit, I'll try it!

I really enjoy getting rolls to go from Sushime. I don't prefer to eat there because the service is usually subpar. For a while we were regulars, but stopped going because the service was slow I think due to the constant turnover. However, I love love love the vegetarian roll- Traffic Light. That roll keeps me going back. The rolls are a bit overpriced, but good quality. The location has a nice patio for outside seating. Overall, if they improve their service and lower the prices a bit I think they would have more popularity. The times I go in there it doesn't seem busy...

Pretty good sushi overall, not the greatest but definitely not the worst. Service is hit or miss. Usually not too crowded either so easy to get sat quick. I enjoy the sassy roll and spicy crab roll. Will definitely keep coming back to try other rolls. Prices are a little high but not bad

We were not impressed with the service or cleanliness but the food was so delicious it totally made up for it. Would definitely recommend the hot chick or dynamite rolls.

Favorite sushi haunt in all of Nashville. Menu boasts a TON of selection... we always pick from the Friday Night Roll, the White Snake Roll, the Cabo Wabo and the American Dream. Service tends to be good, prices are decent. I wish another location that is more central to Nashville would open up--we used to live near Lenox Village, so this was ideal for us... now, it's a jaunt. Highly recommend--especially if you're in the area or want to try something new.

Great sushi that can be very filling. They have a lot of different and creative options on their sushi menu. I'm not very impressed with their food dishes though. Can definitely see myself returning because of the sushi and great location. In my opinion, Peters sushi still is the best sushi place in town.

  • Lexie S.

They have some really unique rolls, the fruit ones are my favorite, but they tend to fall apart. The rolls are too big and nothing is worse than hot soy soaked sushi because it broke while dipping. Other than that, it is one of my favorite places.

Great sushi! We got Alaskan roll, tuna roll, and spicy tuna roll. I loved the spicy tuna! It was actually spicy. We also like the rice that they use. I also had tempura udon. Mhmmmm loved the noodles! They have gazillion specialty rolls. We didn't want to spend so much so we didn't order any but they all look so good. Their menu has pictures which really help!

Have been here a few times and had a bad experience every single time. The service is friendly but the food falls short. The seafood is never fresh and their menus stay filthy with stains and left over roe. Not going there again. Sushi O Sushi is much better and just across the street.

My boyfriend and I recently got a Groupon to this place and we loved it. We have been twice since and we are still very satisfied with both the food and service. Their bento box is really good. Typically, we split it and get and extra side of fried rice. It's plenty of food for the both of us. Love it!

I used to like this place. I didn't love it, but I really liked it. It is close to my house and I loved the Hot Chick roll. I've been probably about 5 times. The service is kind of spotty, not terrible, but not great. There is never a wait for a table because the place is always less than half full. I thought people just stopped at Burger Republic and didn't go any farther. However, I went last week and my poor kid (who is 18) got food poisoning from her plate of sashimi. Out of our party of three, she is the only one who got sick and the only one who ate raw, so I'm pretty sure that is why she was the only one to get sick. And pretty violently so. Needless to say, we will not be back. The convenience isn't worth an all-night call on the big white telephone.

Tonight was great! They seated us in the back and quickly. We had 8 people and they accommodated us well. We ordered all kinds of dishes and not one disappointed. It was only my second time here and it was highly a better experience than the last. I will def come back here sooner than the last time I visited. The service was a tad slow and the waitress forgot a lot, but we were not in a hurry so it was okay.

This place is expensive for what it is and the quality. They use too much rice to little sushi. They put too much cream cheese and too much sauce ovee powering the sushi taste. Then they charge 50cents for extra wasabi!!!!!!!!??????? Unacceptable.

there are now two standards of measurement for sushi: BS and PS--before sushime and post sushime. there are some hit and miss reviews here, but trust me, ignore them. scroll past them. this place is nomiliscious. i had the crazy cow and the angry banana. both are spicy. both changed my life. both made me forget all the troubles of the last few days. you may think to yourself, what kind of weirdo thinks combining spicy crab and bananas and cream cheese and spicy sauce is a good idea---me! i wasn't even hungry and i kept stuffing my face full these! the crazy cow has a bunch of yummy and spicy stuff in it too, i can't remember, but they have a menu, look it up! the miso soup was the best i've had. seriously. the best. none of this is exaggerated. your sushi life will change. our service was great as well. oh! also, thursday nights are ladies nights--half price drinks, all drinks! try the french kiss...it feels weird ordering it "i would like the french kiss" --especially when your husband is with you and your server is a dude, but, you lose all concern once you have the first sip.

We come every week for lunch, fried rice is really good here. I always get chicken fried rice and fire mountain roll. The food here is expensive but you get what you pay for! Quality over quantity

First night we had tried to go, we walked in only for the cooks to say they were closing early. Bad start already. The second time we went, we had a 30 minute wait even though there were 4 tables open to seat us. After ordering, the hot tea was watered down, it was difficult to get a refill, and the service was the slowest ever in mankind. Once we were served, only a quarter of our sushi was appetizing. The rest of our sushi was very sickening, to the point that the fried eel made us very sick for the following 2 days. My boyfriend and I are huge sushi lovers, and have had sushi from all over the U.S., but this was bad.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Nashville, and so I am surprised to know that it only have 3 stars!:( Their sushi is delicious and completely melts in your mouth. I am really big on spicy sushi, salmon and tuna (I hate tuna except if it is in sushi) and Sushime is the only place in Nashville that has more than 1-2 sushi options with all three of these in it. Some of our favorites are Las Vegas II, Play Boy II, Sushime Special, Sweet 28 II, and Big Daddy. All of them are so good! The nigiri is quite good too. It works well as an appetizer. TIP: They seem to make the sushi quicker than calamari or other appetizers so I would order together instead of appetizer and then main course after a while. TIP: I am not a big fan of other things here. I have not tried the bento box or anything, but I thought the calamari was a bit overfried. Either way, it's called sushi me and it's best for it's sushi so I am not complaining. :) The service was great and food was served very quickly. I am happy for them because last year whenever we went in there were not that many people, but when we went in last night, there were a ton of people! I'm for sure going to keep coming back.

Great sushi for a landlocked state. Fish is fresh and always very good. My wife and I eat here at least once a week, generally twice. The bar staff is attentive and friendly. The sushi chefs are always willing to make my plate exactly what I want. Sushime is most certainly one of the top sushi places in Nashville.

I love sushime. It is so close and has a good selection. It can be a little pricey, but I've never had anything that needed to go back. I love their veggie roll and avocado rolls. Their fried rice is excellent as well. I've taken many people there and have yet to be disappointed! Highly recommend.

We went around 7 on a Sunday evening and had good service and wonderful sushi. I can't remember exactly what we had (we always order one roll, eat it, order another, eat it.....keep doing that until we're full so I can never remember what we ate). Either way, the restaurant was clean, a little dark, seafood was extremely fresh and the rolls were rolled nice and tight!

Read some reviews before coming here and I'm a little confused. "On par with Wild Ginger?" You have to be kidding me. Not in any way close to Wild Ginger. Maybe a little cheaper, but fish had an off taste. Not something I want from a place that serves raw fish. Tiny pieces with an off flavor? Not for me. I won't be back. I've had Peter's and it is pretty good, and I've been to Sushi o Sushi across the street from this place and it's pretty good, but seriously Wild Ginger is the best place I've found. The bartenders are great and the food has never been anything but perfectly fresh.

Best sushi place I've been to in Nashville..hands down:) I got the Lenox Roll which was a signature dish and then the spicy tuna. Both were VERY good! We had good service too. Highly recommended!!!

My little gem. This place is off the charts. The nicest folks you'll find and some of the highest quality sushi around. My brother who's a conneisuer of sorts from San Francisco can't believe we have this quality in little old Nashville, TN. You can waste your money at Peter's but I'll be living large in Lennox Village!

Outdoor seating is great. Covered & plenty of seating. I've never had a bad meal & I've been there a lot. Martinis are good. The flavored teas - mango is really good.

My husband and I have eaten here at least 25 times in the last 2 years...The fish is fresh and we prefer sashimi and nigiri sushi rather than rolls. They always let us know what the best choice is of daily arrivals. We sit at the bar and have always had great service. They will customize to taste. They have a little trouble getting fried appetizers out if busy. Also if you are into design, they excel. Atmosphere is casual. We really love this place. My only higher choice in Nashville is Samari in Elliston Square next to the Gold Rush and MR. CHOO...THE BEST!!

I only write reviews when I feel a restaurant deserves the business and feel that it's worth my time say nice things about the staff and food. I have been here three times and each time, the service has been really good. I've ordered sashimi and sushi rolls, as well as their noodles. I've sat at their table, eaten at the bar and taken food to go. This is my sushi spot away from home from CA, therefore it's an awesome place because I'm ever so picky about my food. The fish portions are not meager as well which is a big plus by my book. The restaurant is clean and the staff is super friendly and attentive to me, so my wish is that this place gets a lot more busier throughout this year.
