Took my family and Nephew five people in total there for dinner 4-6-12 at the Nashville location on West End Ave. We were seated upon arrival. This Ruth's Chris location is bigger and nicer than the one on LI. We had a very nice server named Jamie that made the night pleasant and the service was spot on. The first course was great. We had 4 appatizers-shrimp cocktail (2), caesar salad (1), BBQ shrimp (1). All appetizers were excellent. My wife and I had 2 glasses of merlot with dinner and my nephew had 1 beer (bottle). For dinner we had 3 filet's and my younger son and I split a porterhouse for 2. The filets were all excellent I would suggest not getting the porter house as I was expecting a porterhouse like I get a Peter Lugars but was disappointed because the strip side had too many of those white tough uncuttable connective tissues that ruined the experience for me. The filet side was perfect. When Jamie came by to check on us i pointed out the fact that i needed to be a surgeon to eat the strip side he leaned over and said thst it looks like just one piece I managed to get around it but it was not what i expected For sides we got mashed potatoes. These are great but swimming in butter. Tasted great but if I knew they would be so doused with butter I would have gone for a baked. The asparagus was done perfectly and the creamed spinach excellent. For dessert we all split 1 chocolate lava cake ala mode and one American cheese cake. In retrospect I would have order something else instead of the cheese cake. To me NY cheese cake should be firm and this was not, it was also overly sweet. The chocolate cake was everything you would expect. We passed or coffee and got our check. The total before tip was $357.00 and other than the porter house issue the food was great. I am not a very picky eater and suggests you avoid the porterhouse for the best dining experience. Everyone else loved theirs start to finish. I wish someone would have warned me about the porterhouse.

Blue Crab Cakes were wonderful!!! I was too full to eat all of the lobster I ordered for my main course.

oooooh, ooooooooooooooohhh.... I'm still wallowing around in self gratification as I attempt to compose this review of my dinner at Ruth's Chris. Bear with me if you find copious amounts of drool your screen. 1. Valets. Thank you. I have no time for parking, there is feasting to do! 2. The hostess was incredibly friendly and professional. Happy to see a restaurant that hires an adult and not a 15 year old, indecisive cheerleader (no offense former cheerleaders). Our table was ready a half hour before our reservation. (it should be noted that we arrived upon the 5pm opening for a 5:30 reservation. yes it's early to eat, but we had a concert to see dammit!) 3. The bar's decor, hell the whole place's decor, is soooooo warm and comforting. Dark wood, white linen, candles, grey bricks. It's a an enormous embrace of a restaurant that welcomes you, tells you, "you're home now, I'm going to feed you SO well". 4. The bartender, Kim: THANK YOU for pouring me a drink. No stupid jiggers here. I ordered Jack on the Rocks with a splash of Coke; and y'all, that's what I got. She presented me with a hefty rocks glass filled to the brim with light amber perfection. I'm guessing there was between 2.5-3 full shots of booze in my glass and mayby 1/2 oz of Coke. It was a tingly burning masterpiece of a cocktail. 5. Our server, Thad: Patient, outgoing, insightful, knowledgeable... He was good. I didn't find him incredibly friendly, but he didn't need to be. He was efficient, made great suggestions and was there when we needed him. I don't have to have a hyper, "thank you thank you thank you" server all the time. I dug Thad, and Thad made a monster tip from our table. 6. Okay, the food.... The lovely assistant ordered a pre-constructed full meal instead of ala carte, so she was the only one who got a salad. Some wild micro-greens, tomatoes (cherry and beefsteak), some red onion petals, a white cheese (feta?), and a vinaigrette that made your tongue physically leave your mouth and punch you in the mush. Excellent. 6a. Enough about bunny food (awesome as it was), we came for dead cows. And brothers and sisters, we got 'em. Thad came to the table and rightly so, served the ladies first. A filet-mignon with shrimp for my girl, a ribeye and a filet sans-shrimp for the others. 6b. The ceramic plates are kept in a 500 degree oven until service time. They drop your steak on the plate, hit it with a huge glop of butter, then sprinkle with parsley. The aroma of the table is killing me. 6c. Now we serve the fellas; a bone in Ribeye and a NY strip for my buds. I, too, got a NY strip. You may wonder, what is the spice mixture, marinades, secrets of this place to make the best steak you've ever had? Well, I"m going to tell you. Get a pen and paper. Ready? okay..... Salt and Pepper. Yup, that's it. Salt and freakin' Pepper are the only spices that hit your steak (minus the parsley at plating). Start with perfect meat, and you'll get perfect steaks. That's what Ruth's Chris does. Season, Sear, Serve. I love you guys. 6d. Oh, we had side stuff, too! Mushrooms that we can't replicate here... I'll figure it out eventually. Garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, asparagus with hollandaise, they were all great. And lest we forget that one side item is more than enough for two people. Fresh bread with real butter was also present at our table. Ah, gluttony. Eat your heart out Henry VIII. 6e.The couple on my right ordered a Crème Brûlée (how about some props for the appropriate accent marks, huh?) that was not only gorgeous, but incredibly delicious. The flavor had an odd habit of continuing to improve in your mouth, even after you'd swallowed your bite. Peculiar, in a "Yes, please replace my blood with that stuff" kind of way. The lovely assistant and I split the Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce. Cool whiskey sauce, warm bread pudding went to war in my mouth... it was, it.. was... divine. Yes please, may I have another to use as a pillow tonight? and forever? Oh, Ruth's Chris, I hated to leave you. But an equally magnanimous concert awaited, so I had to bid you farewell. But know this, when a restaurant can lay claim to "The best steak Chris Hall has ever eaten", I'll be back. Oh, and 5/5. I don't give 5 star reviews. I don't give 5 stars, but Ruth's Chris stepped up and slapped 5 big ones out of me.

Great service from Tom at the bar to Brandon x 2 at the table. We love the food, atmosphere and service. The only things holding it back are the host (not so friendly, quite stuffy - but how much time do you really spend with him?) and the a little over cooked steaks. Not exactly what we asked for but really tasty all the same. Try the crab stuffed mushrooms!!

I'm going to start by dividing people reading this into three camps: Steakhouse Lovers, Steakhouse Detractors, and then everyone else who would ask why they should go to one. I'm going to address the third group because people who frequent or hate Steakhouses need not pay attention to my review anyway. I've been to Morton's in Nashville and Sullivan's in Austin, so while I'm no aficionado, I did know what to expect. Ruth's Chris is a chain and while it's nice, I'm sure local-lovers and Steakhouse experts would know more of why that would matter. For those not familiar with such an establishment, know this: there is likely to be little available at Ruth's Chris that you will find unfamiliar. It's traditional steakhouse fair presented with an almost manic sense of understatement. Their steaks are served a la carte, as is almost everything else including sides. This is typical for this type of place. You're supposed to feel like your steak is a Cadillac and your sides and salads are expensive options you add. I wouldn't buy a car with air conditioning sold separately, but I don't drive an expensive car. The good: Portions are generous and everything that hit the table was high quality. Our salads were great, fresh and tasty. My Chop Salad was like a wonderful cole slaw with blue cheese. Steaks were seared with a flavorful crust of char, creepy tender, and cooked to temp-perfection. I had a NY strip and devoured it greedily. Cocktails were surprisingly creative and tasty, and their wine list was large if somewhat over-priced. Service was good and the ambiance was nice and pretty comfortable. The less-good: I just don't get the value proposition of Steakhouses like this. My strip was $46. By itself. Sure, it's all about quality, but making something outrageously expensive doesn't make it taste better. Adherence to traditional Steakhouse means limited choices outside of steak. The dining room's climate control was off- there was a period where it was sweltering and then abruptly cooled off. Likely an unlucky moment. Valet park- don't even dream of self parking at this location. So there you go. Steakhouse regulars will complain that I'm complaining about Steakhouses in general. Steakhouse haters will not understand that it's still a good meal. Just know that before you go for your first time and bring about $300.

no air conditioner so it was pretty uncomfortable. I was over heating!!! Service was great! Everyone was very nice. First disappointment no draft beer & no good micro beers I picked the three course special I had the House salad with ranch dressing they put way to much dressing but it was tasty Next was the filet mignon it was cooked perfectly but was served on a super hot plate (that did not help the over heating issue) and was swimming in grease. One other thing that i was disappointed about was you could only pick 1 side so i had to forfeit veggies for mashed potatoes they were lumpy and dry for 54 bucks you should get 2 sides The desert was a raspberry cheesecake that was excellent!!!!

Wow, I had my first experience at Ruths Chris for the Veuve Cliquot Anniversary dinner and it was phenomenal!!! I was delighted with each course- from salmon tartare; to shrimp & haricots verts; to filet mignon cooked to perfection accompanied with cremini mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes; to finally the dessert course, a pear and almond tart. Although I am not normally a big fan of red meat, I was blown away by the filet mignon and ate every bite. Semi embarrassed about how fast I finished it, actually. But it was so good I could't stop! The service was impeccable and the staff was extremely friendly. I loved the ambiance and how local the restaurant felt, despite it being a chain. I will 100% return given the opportunity. 5 stars!!

My first visit to Ruth's Chris didn't disappoint... Dark and woody like a steakhouse should be. Excellent service. Perfectly-cooked ribeye. Medium-rare to a tee. Excellent sides - I recommend the asparagus. ...and a killer Manhattan. Nicely done.

Was served by bartender Justin. Well done Salad dressing was under seasoned. Salad served w/o bread. Asst Kim offered to serve bread with my meal. The bread never appeared. Steak was way undercooked and had to be re-fired. I hate their spitting and sizzling plates. The steak never cools down and the plate over cooked my shrimp. Green beans were served nearly submerged in an oily pool. Dripping with oil/butter. Dessert was a hockey puck pretending to be chocolate mouse. Served warm. Really dense and not worth a 2nd taste. Berries on the side were the only redeeming element.

Wonderful, wonderful food! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, and despite the almost $200 bill (GULP!!!) I didn't leave feeling "taken"- which is amazing. The steak was perfectly cooked, the service was very good, and the wine list was amazingly extensive. It was nice to have complementary valet parking, and the atmosphere was very romantic. Overall, a good special-night-out meal. BUT, be prepared to drop some dough! I'd give the steak 5 stars, but my boyfriend's salad was pretty bland and 2 of my 3 shrimp were overcooked.

If you don't want to read below: In short, the restaurant had incredible service, a perfect dining atmosphere, and overpriced, but good, food. For the details, continue on... I took a trip here alone to see for myself what this restaurant was capable of. To get a fair idea of how the food quality and taste was, I ordered a variety of different things (and spent a heck of a lot of money!). But that's OK, because I went in prepared to spend to enjoy myself. I ordered the Lamb Chops for $40, the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese side for around $16, and the Creamed Spinach side for around $9. For dessert, I had the Bread Pudding for around $15 (or somewhere around there). Based on the price and the reviews, I was expecting a 5/5 experience for each and every dish, but this expectation for excellence and perfection did not necessarily hold. Oh, it was definitely good, just not as good as I had psyched myself out to believe. The lamb chops were cooked pleasingly tender and I loved how the edges were burnt just right to add that bit of charcoal flavor to the meat and fat. However, I could not taste the mint, and the overall flavor impact was not there. I felt like it needed something to make it less bland. For $40, I should not be thinking this at all. The lobster macaroni and cheese was delicious, but again, the cheese was runny and rather bland, and the flavor did not "pop" the way I was hoping. The creamed spinach was OK. It seemed like a very simple side; there was nothing fantastic about it. I found myself thinking that each spoonful was costing me $0.50 instead of how wonderful it was. Finally, the bread pudding is what made my night. It was easily the best tasting dish of all my courses and had the best presentation. The service here was something I admired greatly. My waiter stood in a corner monitoring all of his tables to see if they needed anything immediately. Because he was overlooking multiple tables, I didn't feel awkward or singled out. In between courses, my waiter arranged the plates and glasses in front of me to best suit my reach. He would also scrape any crumbs off the table with some sort of flat instrument; that was a unique experience. The waiter was nice, but allowed me to enjoy my meal without interruption, which is a big deal for me; I don't go to a nice steakhouse to chat up a storm. I left the waiter a nice 30% tip because of how happy I was with the service.

Rather poor service. Waiter took order and never checked on me after food arrived for 15 min after. Seemed disinterested. Filet was not as good as most Ruths Chris restaurants I have been to. I've visited about 12 of their restaurants nationwide. Would not repeat at this location.

Very good. If you're familiar with the Ruth's Chris chain, you will not be disappointed. While a chain, I find that Ruth's Chris, along with Flemings, have consitently excellent cuts of meet, and very high quality control. My steaks are always cooked perfectly. So, sure, a chain carries less of that romantic mystic of a good one-off, but I'll trade some of that for excellent quality and consistency. Service is professional. Most of the wait staff are just warm enough without being chatty. I expect they are trained not to be chatty. If you've been to a top-notch steakhouse in Manhattan, those waiters are not chatty, either. They want to be unobtrusive. (In the South, some diners confuse this for aloofness, but that's not the case. And I was born/raised in the South, so I'm talking about my own people here...) I've been to four different Ruth's Chris locations several times, and this one is right in there, very good. The dining room is not huge, but it's laid out pretty well. If you sit adjacent to the bar, it's a bit noisy at times, when the bar area is full, but it's not really a problem. Kids? They don't have Kids' Menu per se, but they do have some "small plate" options that are not on the menu. Just ask. My younger ones get a 4 oz. fillet, steamed brocolli, and fries, and they are very happy. I think it's under $15/plate. The au gratin potatoes are killer. The creamed spinach is very good, just a bit sticky and maybe a bit too well blended (I like some leafy bits in there), but that's down to personal taste. The shoe-string potatoes are not special at all. The steamed fresh asparagas w/hollendaise sauce is great.

Have not visited this establishment since 10 years ago but was extremely impressed as we went back for our wedding anniversary. Everybody who assisted our meal in anyway congratulated us which though small certainly made the evening special. I had the ribeye and my wife had the filet. Both were perfect as were the sides of creamed spinach and mushrooms. The cheesecake was also superb and was a great finish to the evening.

We visited again for my second son's 10 year old birthday. As always, Ruth's is excellent. Anthony was our server. He was professional and attentive without hovering. I was giving my son a lesson on how to place his silverware when he finishes and I suppose he saw - he came over seconds later noting that judging by the silverware placement we must be done. Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly. I do love the hot and sizzling surface with a medium rare inside. Creamed spinach delivered, as did the wine list. Unfortunately, last nights prix fix did not offer the same value as our last visit and we had to order a la carte, but such is the way of the high end steakhouse. Again, Ruth's delivered with a complimentary cheesecake for the birthday boy. A welcome addition. And, I'm pretty sure Ruth's isn't making any cancer patients take off their beanie (I'm talking about you Morton's).

There are better choices for great steakhouses around Nashville.... When I made the reservation they asked if I was celebrating anything special. I told them my wife and I would be celebrating our anniversary. When we arrived everyone wished me a happy birthday and there was a birthday card on our table. We continued to laugh as all the servers wished me a happy birthday. No biggie. There is no culture here, no decorations, no ambiance, very bland setting. The tables are stacked so closely together that you can hear everyone's conversations around you, no intimacy whatsoever. The server was good, not great but good. He was knowledgeable but a little slow to respond. The food was good, not great, but good. I ordered the ribeye oscar and my wife had the filet, both good but not $200+ good. We expected a $150+ tab but were surprised at the prices only because the quality did not equal the price. The best part was probably the free dessert. The cocktails were mixed just right and my wife's wine was very good according to her (red, Rule). Unfortunately, we will not be back. Sperry's in Belle Meade is still our favorite!

My wife and I ordered the filet mignon and they were cooked to perfection. Every bite melted in your mouth! We also ordered the lobster mac and cheese and that was amazing! I would recommend this steakhouse to anybody visiting the Nashville area!

Had a really great dinner here as a solo diner when I visited Nashville a couple of weeks ago. No problem getting a table for 1 and I was not made to feel strange for asking for it. I dined late and was also not rushed or anything. Service is superb. Towards the end of the meal, when the place was clearing out, my server was super friendly and kept chatting me up but not in an annoying way. The food; You come to Ruth's Chris for the steaks and they are worth every penny. You cannot buy steaks like this at the grocery. I had the filet, cooked perfectly medium rare. And really, for the price it has to be perfect and I've never been disappointed at a Ruth's Chris. I started off with a tuna appetizer that was quite nice. Ceasar salad was a typical caesar salad. I don't think they are made fresh? But it was good. Along with my steak I had the lobster mac n cheese which was devine. Yes, that's a lot of food for one person! The server was surprised at how much I ordered. But, I LOVE to take home steak from a good steak place and have it cold the next day. It's my secret guilty pleasure. I had half of my filet and half the mac n cheese and it was just as good the next day as when it was first served. My one complaint was that they asked for my name when I asked for a table. No big deal. But everyone that came to my table called me Mr M______ all night long. By the end of the meal that just became annoying. I know they were just trying to make me feel special? But I've been to other Ruth's Chris spots where they did not do that to me. It's minor, but like I said was a bit annoying all night. Having said all that, I would probably give it 4.5 stars if I could. If I'm in a town with a Smith & Wollensky I would prefer to eat there. They have better appetizer and side selections I think. But it is really the steaks that draw me in and I did have a perfect one. And, again, great service (other than the over the top Mr M_____ nonsense). I would return to this spot if I get back to Nashville.

I brought my boyfriend to Ruth Chris for a special birthday dinner a few month's back. As an avid steak eater and fan, he was excited to head to RC for his birthday treat. Our experience began in the best possible way; the waitstaff had festively set the table with confetti and a happy birthday card after learning that we were visiting in honor of his birthday. Our waiter was perfectly nice and very informed of the entire menu. We each decided upon the Classics menu, he with the ribeye and sauteed mushrooms, me with the filet and shrimp with a baked potato (for which we paid a small upcharge). Our meals also came with soup (him) and salad (me) and a shared dessert of cheesecake, with 'happy birthday' written across the top. The meal was indeed festive and delicious. I was happy with my steak, but was absolutely thrilled with the baked potato. It was perfectly baked, with crispy, slightly burned skin (the way I like it) and sinfully plentiful toppings. Sadly, my boyfriend was not super impressed with his ribeye--he found it to be overly fatty (even for a ribeye) and far preferred my filet. He also found the mushrooms to be a bit boring, saying that he wished he'd chosen a different, more interesting side dish. The cheesecake was delicious, particularly the crust. Given that my boyfriend wasn't entirely happy with his meal, it's hard to give RC 5 stars the way many people have, though I'd hope that with one more visit, I'd have the chance to change my rating from 4 stars to 5.

My husband's steak was excellent. Everything else was average to horrible. The service was AWFUL. And for a $200+ meal, that's just not acceptable. Before our meal, we had a drink at the bar. The ice cube in my husband's drink had a fruit fly in it. Gross! During the meal, our waitress stayed gone for 15-20 minutes at a time, repeatedly, and never acknowledged or apologized for it. The meal took two hours because of how long she disappeared for each time. When she finally showed up, she asked questions like, "how are we doing?" instead of "would you like dessert?" so that we had to ask for dessert, then ask for a dessert menu, because apparently bringing a dessert menu to people who say they want dessert isn't the obvious next step at this fine establishment. The sea bass I ordered was AWFUL. Fishy, old, and overall just bad. Their spinach au gratin is the exact same thing as their creamed spinach, just with cheese on top. It would have been nice if the waitress told us this, since we ordered both of these. I was very disappointed in this place and will not return. This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner, but it turned out to be a frustrating waste of money.

Went here for my birthday with some friends. Obviously, we all had steak and it was amazing. So amazing I left my vegan lifestyle for the week. Order the filet with a side of mashed potatoes. So, so good. You will not regret it!

We went for my wife's birthday. It was excellent from start to finish. Keri was a wonderful server. We had the 3 course Prix fix. My wife and the ribeye it was excellent. I had the fillet and shrimp. My steak was cooked to perfection , did nor really need a knife it was so tender. The cheesecake for dessert was vetyp good also. The drinks were always full and dirty plates removed promptly. Ask for Keri as your server she is the best.

Awesome Meal & Service ! On a Busy Busy Thursday night, we were promptly greeted by the hostess, being a few minutes early for our 7:30 reservation we were asked to wait at the bar. Promptly the kind hostess came and escorted us to a nice table. The whole restaurant was full & lively, even a bit noisy in the Very Large Dining Room. We informed our server Andrew that we were Gluten Free and could he guide us through our options, not only was he very informative and helpful, he brought us the Gluten Free Menu and made sure we were comfortable with ordering from cocktails, appetizers, salads and through to the Flowerless Chocolate Cake dessert. Of course our Steaks were prepared in True Ruth's Chris Signature Style, again Andrew made our evening fantastic he was very attentive and personable. Thanks to Ruth's Chris our Celebration was lovely and completely decadent.

As usual, the food was amazing. I have eaten at every steakhouse in Nashville and i still consider Ruth's Chris, while being among the least expensive, to have the best steak in town. This is the second year my wife and I went to Ruth's Chris for Thanksgiving dinner as it is just the two of us and we do not have children. The service was slow and we waited almost 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken. When the waiter did finally greet us there was no apology or explanation - I found this very disappointing. While I realize it was a busy night - and a holiday - simply acknowledging that we waited awhile would have been more than sufficient to make us happy. There was no mention at all about the traditional Thanksgiving dinner offered or anything else about the menu - just a simple "can I take your order." This isn't McDonald's...I have slightly higher expectations than this from the wait staff. In all, we will definitely eat at Ruth's Chris again, but we will go out of our way to avoid them for a holiday meal.

Its all about the Sizzle.... and this place has it. The Bar can be a bit slow, but they try. The food is always done well and it would get a 5 but the NY strip and price are just a little off from other places - so its a 4 compared to some other 5's. I go in here 4-5 times a year and the wines are terrific, the drinks are always well made and the steaks and the sizzle are what keep me coming back.. I met my wife here and really like to sit at the bar and get great service and meet all the interesting people that gravitate down fro the Loews. From the valet parking to the kind service, if i could just change one thing.. id make it a little warmer and more Nashville Like, with a friendlier attitude.

My wife and I decided to go have dinner for our 5th Anniversary. We were looking forward to a delicious steak the whole week. We knew that we could definitely get it at Ruth Chris because of the experience we had with the one in Virginia Beach. We celebrated our 3rd Anniversary there and everything was exquisite! So we went ahead and made a reservation to eat at 7:15pm. We got there and there were a lot of people standing outside waiting for the valet to get their vehicles. Not a big deal, it's Saturday night in Nashville. We waited approximately 5 minutes to hand my vehicle over to the valet and proceeded down to the restaurant's hostess, whom had a pleasant smile. We arrived right on time ready to be seated. Unfortunately our table wasn't ready. What's the point of a reservation if you are not going to get your table at the time prescribed. Especially at a pricey place like Ruth Chris. Anyway, we had to go wait/stand in the bar area. Needless to say, my wife wasn't very happy. We waited about 10 minutes before they came and got us. This place is nothing like the Ruth Chris in Virginia Beach. It was very crowded. It's as if they put so many tables in the place that it has become a fire hazard. We are literally sitting elbow to elbow with the other patrons. Our waiter came to get our drink order after about 5 minutes of us being seated, which is average I guess. We know the service is always good at Ruth Chris but we could care less. We were looking forward to the STEAK. Well, we placed our main course order. We both went for the "sur and turf". Which was lobster and ribeye or filet. I had the filet and my wife had the ribeye. This is where our experience went south. Our steaks arrived at the table on a sizzling plate as usual. My wife asked for her steak to be cooked medium. I asked for mines to be cooked medium well. Our steaks were overcooked. So overcooked they were tough and inedible. My wife literally left three quarters of the steak on the plate. Yes we could have most likely send them back but thats not something we usually do. This is definitely telling in a restaurant where most patrons come for the steak. The filet was like a small hockey puck. It was almost like it was meant for a little kid. (wish I knew). Our waiter was very good though so didn't blame him for the food. We went ahead and left him a $30 tip on a $185 bill. Oh, we did get a complimentary dessert since it was our anniversary. Needless to say we won't be going back to this particular Ruth Chris. We still think it is a good franchise but we do think this particular restaurant needs to work on the food. Maybe we will fly to Virginia Beach next year.

Perfect steak! Porterhouse and mashed potatoes. Wes took great care of us! Topped it off with a piece of Turtle cheesecake. Good choice.

We love Ruth's Chris, and have been to them in multiple cities. This time we took our son out for dinner before leaving him at college for the year. Service was great, the other three had filets and they were great, the only complaint was with my Petite Filet & Shrimp. One of my medallions was excellent, but the other was only so-so (less dense and a little overcooked as a result, so not as tender) and the shrimp on top were overcooked and dry. Next time I'll know better and order something else or send it back. We shared a side of broccoli -- one order was plenty for all of us, and it was very good. The cocktails are large and generously poured. We didn't have dessert this time -- too full!

I know it says Steak House in the restaurant's name, but shouldn't everything on the menu be good? Ruth's Chris starts out on the right foot, with valet parking, and a decent looking steakhouse feel. The decor is rich with mahogany trim, and dim, but not dark lighting. I was wearing a black suit, and they immediately swapped out the white napkin for a black one so I wouldn't be wearing lint later on that night. Right on track for what you would expect from a steakhouse. The waiter was well versed in the menu, but came up short with knowing what vodkas were stocked at the bar. It is a steakhouse, not a bar. For my 1st course, I had the lettuce wedge. The Bacon crumbles on the lettuce were thick, charred and greasy obfuscating the light and healthy aspects of the salad. Then again, it's not a salad bar. It's a steakhouse. I ordered a steak and seafood combo that was featured that night. 6 oz filet, shrimp, and scallops. The food came out sizzling on a 500 degree plate. No, I'm not kidding, I researched this (after the fact) and found out that the plates are actually heated to 500 degrees. As I was eating my meal, I could see the pink of the steak nearest the plate slowly turning brown as the steak continued to cook in front of me. Unfortunately, I did not eat the shrimp the second the plate was set before me, and by the time I ate the first one it was tough and rubbery - a clear sign it was overcooked. by the time I got to the 3rd shrimp, it was a super-ball. Not a seafood house, a steakhouse. So while I would like to rate this place higher, sacrificing 1/2 the meal for the showmanship of a sizzling steak is inexcusable. I might have given it 4 stars if it were a dinner theater, but it's not. It's a steakhouse.

Last night my husband and I went here to dinner to celebrate our 25 th anniversary . Dinner was wonderful. But we told our waiter we'd like to go out for a smoke before dessert . We also told the hostess. When we came back in they had cleaned of f our table and very rude and told us they thought we left without paying, we couldn't believe it! We were gone less then 5 mins and we told 2 people. The manager never came over and the hostess was so rude. We feel we should have gotten something for the embarrassment ! Nothing! My daughter works in 5 star restaurant said we would have gotten a free dinner at her restaurant . Needless to say our evening was ruined

I go here a lot for the Happy hour--I enjoy their margarita and they have a good variety menu for that time. It also a very upscale place good for an amazing meal and a good date night. The happyhour is also pretty affordable.

Party of 5 dinned here week end of the 10th. Reservations at 7PM and seated quickly. It seems the crowd started around 8 and built from there. Seated in side room which was open to the bar = not a favorite spot. Nice white table cloth and setting but pretty bland room in general. Did not see the main dining area but would think it quieter and more intimate. Attentive service but a bit rushed apparently (but not stated) to turn table for the building crowds in the bar area. Pretty typical ala carte menu selection. Salads, steaks fresh fish and a few sea food items. Ordered the shrimp cocktails which were very tasty (at nearly $5 each one would expect so). Steaks and sides were very good but not exceptional considering $100+ per person bill with one drink each. No desert presentation, the waiter just rambled off a few selections. Solid ,dependable and PRICEY but not really outstanding. Would look for a "local" location that can delivery on high quality and nice atmosphere for our next venture.

My wife and I went there for date night and the food was amazing. We ordered the seared Ahi Tuna to start the meal off, this was the best seared Ahi Tuna either one of us has had since we've lived in TN. For the main course I ordered the lobster and a side of lobster risotto and my wife got the "Classic" which comes with a salad (she got the house salad), filet and shrimp, and a desert. Both meals were great and the filet came out just as my wife ordered it. The service and decor were also top notch, we have been to a few nice restaurants in Nashville and so far nothing has compared to the excellent service we recieved at Ruth's Chris Steak house. And the same goes for the decour, when I know that I'm going to be spending a good amount of money on a meal I like the decor of the place to represent an upscale restaurant not an applebee's. Overall the was the best dinning experience that we have had in Nashville and plan to go back!

Ok, I will admit the steak is good and the pork chops are even better....BUT, i really don't see what the hype is. The ambiance in this place does not scream 5 start restaurant. Valet is available. You have to make reservations or your wont get in. It is a dress up kind of place. Pretty much everything is a la carte so when you order the steak, that is all you are getting is the steak. You have to order your sides separately. Me and my guy easily can spend almost 100 bucks including the tip every time. It is great food but I think it is way over priced!

RC Nashville was an absolutely fabulous experience. This is the 3d RC I've been to - all have been exceptional. Most of our group of 13 selected from the "Classics" menu, expecting slightly smaller portions - even so, the portions were very generous and no one left hungry. The steaks were divine - melt-in-your-mouth tender and cooked just right. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Atmosphere was perfect - we were seated next to the bar and away from the main dining room. It was quiet enough for conversation the length of the table.

I took my wife here for her birthday and our experience was a total disaster. I could have had a better stake and experience at home if I cooked a steak from Kroger or some other supermarket. This should give you an idea of how dissatisfied I was. We were seated in a corner table which was near a big empty room. The decoration of this place is pretty old fashioned. The wine list was very limited and overpriced compared to the other steakhouses. I suggest that you do yourself a favor and go to Whole Foods and buy a steak and cook it yourself at home, which i guarantee you will be better than what you could have here. You will also save a ton of money. I paid close to 150 for two of us but was very disappointed with the steak. There was too much seasoning on the stake and my stake was overcooked. I am thinking hard to find something positive about this place but really can not think of anything i like here. Oh wait, I remember my wife liked her dessert but that is uninformative because she is a sucker for anything that has chocolate in it. That is the only reason I give this place two stars but who would like to go to a steakhouse, pay a ton of money and have a decent dessert only.

Wow. Great service, great food and ambiance. I had the fillet and my hubby had the cowboy porterhouse. The steaks melt in your mouth. The sides were great too! We will return.

Isn't the south a place where you can find everything but a veggie sandwich? I was willing to put down the hummus and falafel to try this place but wished I saved myself the indigestion. We got there and it was filled with an eclectic group of people and were promptly seated but things went slightly awry. Our waiter/waitress kept changing often not knowing who ordered what and point blank telling us that certain things were not good. I appreciated the honesty but when I'm told that most of it isn't good I become mildly alarmed. I got the full meal and started with the basic salad and a lobster rockefeller. The lobster was good but a tad on the dry side and they tried to cleverly disguise the dryness by dousing it gravy. I ordered the filet medium rare and it came to me medium well! I didn't raise a stink because the service took so long that I had time to down enough wine to realize I was starving. The dessert was the best, we got the creme brulee and it was wonderfully done with fresh berries. We brought our own bottle of wine because the selection was mediocre with high markups. It was easier to bring in a bottle from my wine club and pay the $25 corkage fee instead of getting something comparable and paying $100 for it. Even though they didn't offer to decant it, it was still better than what I could've found on that list. Needless to say, best steak still in town is at The Hermitage!

Best steakhouse in Nashville hands down. Their aged Tbone is the highlight of their menu. Great wine selection. Easy Valet parking and great midtown locale

My husband and I almost always visit a Ruth's Chris Steak House when we are traveling (we do not live near one), so we have been to quite a few over the past several years. The experience at this one was quite average. It is located downtown, convenient to Vanderbilt, but this creates a difficult parking situation. I am not sure where/if self parking was available, but they do offer free valet parking. The service at this location was also average, no one was particularly attentive and it wasn't particularly busy on the night that we visited. The southwest mac and cheese was just delicious! I ordered a ribeye and my husband ordered a filet - both were cooked perfectly. Biggest issue I have with this visit - it seemed that they used an ordinate amount of butter for preparing the steaks when compared to other locations - they also didn't offer any type of linen to avoid splattering/grease stains from the sizzle of the steaks, a little unusual. We ordered some type of flour-less chocolate cake desert, which was OK. I found it difficult to get drink refills. I would technically give this location 3.5 stars, but because of my overall experiences with Ruth's Chris Steak House, I rounded up. We would return to this location though, the jury is still out as to whether or not this is truly a $200 dining experience, but something we continue to indulge in nonetheless!

Food was awesome, service was a little on the slow side but it was Thanksgiving Day and they were very busy, so we'll cut them some slack on that. My husband and I each ordered a steak (celebrating our first non-traditional Thanksgiving) which was cooked to perfection and the garlic mashed potatoes and au gratin broccoli were amazing! We will definitely come here again, though, special occasions only...it's very pricey...but the food and atmosphere definitely make it all worthwhile for a special occasion treat!

Normally I am a huge fan of Ruth's Chris but this company outing was a bit of a disappointment. On a week night with an empty house the wait staff mixed up two steaks and i ended up getting a well done steak instead of the medium rare that I ordered. This resulted in both of us having to wait 10-15 minutes while everyone else ate. Many of our guests had never dined here and left with a less than stellar opinion of Ruth's Chris . The food was good this night but not great . The gumbo seemed a bit flat and several of the rib eyes were very fatty. I'll be back but I hope it improves at this location

Everything from the service to the food was well worth it! I have eaten at a number of steakhouses and I must say that this place is definitely in the top 3. My server Chris went over and above to provide top class service. I will be recommending to all of my friends.

I ordered my steak (rib eye) medium rare. 1/2 of it was medium, the other half was very rare. I sent the rare half back. (I normally do not like to do that...but it was too rare...almost raw)...it came back medium well. I ate it anyway..my..but was kind of bummed about that I never really got to eat a medium rare piece of steak. My house salad was not that great either. My wife had the filet - hers was perfectly cooked. She got a pear walnut salad. It was awesome too. I think she had a better experience than I did. Nice atmosphere. Dark rich comfortable setting. Great service. Friendly staff. I made reservations on line and told them it was our anniversary and they had a card on my table with some heart shaped confetti. That was nice. They also gave us a complimentary dessert since it was our anniversary. I doubt I would go here again. It's a nice place, but if I'm going to pay a lot of money for a steak (and that is really what I came for), I would like it cooked correctly.

We are generally fans of Ruth's Chris. The food here was excellent and they had a very nice wine list with one of our favorites on it. The hostess service is where this location fell short... I booked our reservation for 7:45. We arrived early at about 7:30 and proceeded to the hostess. We checked in and she said they weren't quite ready for us yet but we could have a seat in the bar and they would get us. Why they could not seat us is unclear as they weren't that busy and they seemed well staffed. No biggy, we were early. We ordered a glass of wine and waited. At 7:55, no one had yet come. So I got up and turned the corner to the hostess station. She was talking to another employee. When she saw me she suddenly looked surprised and exclaimed, "Oh! Are you ready?" I said, "we've been ready since we walked in". Pretty cheap to throw your error back on the customer. You would think they would have comp'd us our glasses of wine. Nope! Our table waiter was excellent, which is probably the most important in terms of service.

This was one of my first USDA prime steaks I had. I was not impressed. They charged for water. That was very weird to me. The place was nice. My girlfriend got the stuffed chicken. It was the best chicken I've ever tasted.

Excellent service and atmosphere! Food was decent. Our server, Robert, was excellent. He gave us honest suggestions and was very knowledgeable with the menu and cocktail list. He was also quick to fix the issues we had with my boyfriend's entree. The lobster bisque was delicious. I am a total sucker for lobster bisque. It was a little skimpy on the lobster, but it was delicious and I didn't want to fill up on it, anyway. I had the small filet with shrimp and lyonaise potatoes. My steak was definitely more on the medium side than rare, which was kind of a bummer. It was still juicy and flavorful, especially with the horseradish cream sauce. My boyfriends steak was super over-cooked and his first lobster tail was a little weak looking, but it was easily corrected. He seemed to enjoy it the second time around. Another standout was the ahi tuna appetizer. The spicy mustard sauce packs a punch! While it is nice to have a hot steak throughout dinner, I kind of feel like the 500 degree plates contribute to the steaks and seafood overcooking. Just a thought. So yeah, 3 stars for the food, 5+ for the service.

I generally try not to write reviews about chains, but I would be remiss to not recognize this location. I've eaten at several different locations of Ruth's Chris over the years, and frankly, how much better can you get than Prime beef seared in butter at 1800 degrees? Perfect crust on the outside and still mooing on the inside. At this particular location, the service and quality of the food is perfect. I can't believe I just typed that. It's true. I've never had a complaint with what has been served to me here. In particular, I have always gotten a server that is not only competent and extremely expeditious, but also has a great sense of humor without getting in the way of the dining experience. And they carry themselves like well-dressed consummate professionals, exactly what I am looking for in a fine dining experience. Some of my favorites are certainly the creamed spinach, Lyonnaise potatoes - just the perfect thing to match a peerless steak and a crushing red wine to go with it. They have very satisfying starters and salads as well. They also feature a few fish and vegetarian options if your heartless husband drags you to this temple of carnivores. They will even accommodate you further if you call ahead. Perfect place to satisfy the primal urges of red meat and its accouterments with the guarantee that you will get consistency for the price.

I know...it's a chain...but this location gets 5 stars from me(and no, they are not all created equal). Ruth's Chris has been a go-to special occasion restaurant for my family since I lived in Miami. Their steaks are delicious, make GREAT drinks, their BBQ shrimp and sauce(which you will spend 4 loaves of bread soaking up after you've eaten all the shrimp) is amazing, sweet potato casserole is absolute heaven, I need to stop listing here because I don't think I've had anything on the menu that wasn't good. As great as the food is, the service is equally as awesome. They are always happy to accommodate any special request you may have and pay attention to little details like offering you a black napkin if you're wearing black instead of their normal white ones. I know that probably sounds trivial but it sure keeps my mom happy so she doesn't have to pick the white fuzz off her black pants/dress (I live with cats so I just assume my black clothing has fuzz on it anyway, but that's me). This is definitely a great place to take a date or celebrate or special occasion if you're spending the money.

My fantastic Hubby made a special reservation for my Bday at Ruth's Chris. I don't think I have to inform anyone of how wonderful this place is at all! The feel of the place is dimly light and romantic. Heavy furniture you would find in a men's smoking lounge or a traditional study. The meal and experience here is perfect from the valet to the check. What do you expect? I was impressed they even Ruth's Chris has a "reasonably priced" deal on their menu now. 40 for a complete meal including a starter, selection of entree of 6 0z steak/chicken/seafood, a side, and dessert. 50 if you would like a larger steak. Pretty good. The sides don't wow me here. Its about the meat. It practically chewes itself. Smooth like butter! Our waitress was terrific! (and not just because she knew the hubbster). She recommend the pomegranate martini and I LOVED it! Perfect drink. All and all, this was not my first visit meal here but every time I go, they are consistently bringing the A game. They have earned their rep. I've never sat at the bar there though so maybe next time for that.

I've been to several Ruth's Chris locations and the Westend Ave. location in Nashville is my favorite. Located in the bottom of the Vanderbilt Hotel, it is one of the most consistently delicious "chains" you'll find. A large group of us (10) got reservations a month in advance. However, I doubt we needed to plan that far ahead. All of us got steaks and no one complained about their preparation. The spoon full of hot butter on top of each and the scorching plates are always present. The aged beef selection that they use results in a really tasty steak that you just can't find many places. This isn't your typical steakhouse, so bring your checkbook. The sides are huge! The sides are also excellent. The creamed spinach is decadent, but absolutely delicious. I always start with the wedge with bleu cheese. I've had the ribeye and the fillet and both are excellent. I prefer the deeper flavor of the ribeye, but their fillet is really top-notch for a lean cut. In fact, their fillet is more flavorful than any cut of steak you'll find almost anywhere else. The wait staff is impressive. The waiter took 10 orders without taking a single note. The expos brought everything out in unison and no one was rushed through any part of their meal.

What! There's a morton's? I rushed here after the Preds game, they close at 10:30 pm, and made it in the nick of time. Felt a little out of place in a hockey jersey, yet I still got good service. Ruth Chris is a chain and should always be good. but expensive. I'd detract for value, but whatev, you'd only come here based on quality and not value. If you want value cook yourself a steak. and make your own creamed corn. I do that sometimes. We got steaks and lambchops. The bone in ribeye was the best, but they were all good, medium rare and cooked in butter. Detraction bc they don't have awesome creamed corn, that's why I prefer Morton's. Because in America we love our beef and we love our corn. Well at least I do, because I hail from Iowa.

Service was good; waiter was good; ambiance was good; prices were through the roof; food was good but not exceptional (calamari had WAY TOO much breading on it and was very average)....I was at another fine dining establishment a week earlier and the same wine was $5-$15 per bottle less, and the food was exceptionally good! I don't mind paying the price when I receive an exceptional product and an exceptional experience...This was just good!

  • Melissa B.

I agree with another reviewer's comment that what she liked about Ruth's Chris is that the steaks are CONSISTENTLY good. You can go anywhere and get a good steak once and a not-so-good one the next time, but the reason I keep paying so much for dinner at RC is because it is good every time. My once-in-a-while treat at RC is a chocolate martini - they make a great one! I know it sounds weird, but I also love the french fries! I usually dress up to go here like a nice date or celebration of some sort, but every time I see people who are wearing jeans or even shorts. Another plus: the service is always great.

I am torn between giving this place 3/4 stars. The drinks I've had there are great, but there is nothing special about the steaks or sides. With how expensive it is I would like there to be something unique about Ruth's Chris. Mastro's has lobster mashed potatoes, what is unique about Ruth's Chris? Nothing about their steaks really excite me either. I've been to this particular Ruth's Chris twice. The food was really good both times. 1 time I sat at the bar and the other at a table. I can't remember our server's name, he was from Alabama and he was hilarious. I generally don't care about my server's personality as long as they know what they are talking about and do a good job but this guy great. He suggested the Belvedere Fusion Martini and it was great. The lamb chops are also really good. To be honest beyond that not much else about this place really impresses me. If there were 3.5 stars that's what I would give this place. I wish the chefs at this place would come up with some signature dishes because honestly, the next time I'm in Nashville I will think about stopping by the bar for a Belvedere Fusion Martini and then go down the street to Maggiano's...

Clients keep giving me gift cards to Ruth Chris, and I keep accepting them! I have received great food and great service across the board! By this point, I've probably tried almost everything on the menu, and I have to say, I haven't gotten ahold of anything I didn't thoroughly enjoy! I think it's weird that they have to bring everything out on plates that are like 1,000 degrees, but in the whole scheme of things, that is really no big deal. I definitely recommend Ruth's Chris for a special occasion or business dinner. I love the filet and potatoes au gratin!

  • Laurel M.

Tried and true. Of the major players in all things steak, Ruth's Chris is tops for me. It's consistently good. Great, actually. I like Flemming's, Morton's, and The Palm but it's hit or miss with these other steak houses. If I could change one thing it would be to put escargot back on the menu... it was the best ever! Jamie D. is my favorite server there. He can put a smile on even the grumpiest of faces. Love him!

My review was based on a dinner. I ordered a sirloin with pepper sauce and sides. Pros: Steaks are nice and good selection, decore and mood, great for corperate diners, quick friendly service, for singles you can order and eat at the bar. Cons: I have taken stars off for price because in reality the meal experience is overpriced. Quite clearly their target customer is someone who has the $$$. Ruth's provides and upper level of dining but this does not necessarily mean they have the best steaks in town but you should judge for yourself !!. I feel that unless a company or someone else is paying, hold onto your bucks. I dinned alone and with my steak, the sauce, a side of mashed potato, side of greens and one Corona my total was around $60, plus tip. Sure I enjoyed the meal but it was not worth the price tag...

For the price and reputation RC fell short. The filet was overcooked. The desert was ordinary. However the scalloped potatoes were delicious. Alexanders was better in every category. Including price!

I love this place! came here for the first time my parents came into Nashville to visit me. My dad being a steak fan..and it being a nice summer evening. thought'd be nice to stop on by here. Like I said..it was my first time here..and we had no idea it was a fancy place! We weren't all dressed up for the place but they didn't say anything and let us in anyway...so that was awesome. the waitstaff was just generous, friendly, approachable, knew the menu.. Escargot was my fave..and I also got the smallest steak on the menu..for my lil appetite. Medium rare and juicy...couldn't have it any better..much better than my usual Outback Steakhouse slab of meat. Also, got a creme brulee for dessert. It was so yummy. I wish it was a bigger portion though :) Prices are off-the-wall and top that off with gratuity, YIKES! but the whole experience, environment, the way they take care of you was all worth it..oh yeah..and being located downtown Nashville...valet parking is a must...it was nice they had one right out the door. Now they're building a new Ruth Chris Steakhouse in South Barrington, IL where I live now...can't wait to go back!

This restaurant has really lost it's edge since we visited a year ago. Tough rib-eye, soggy asparagus and a hollandaise so sheer and tasteless, it was hardly there. The filets were good, but for a $200 meal for four people with no alcohol or desserts, it was truly not worth the time or money. We won't be coming back.

The experience was unacceptable, owing to noise levels that prohibited conversation among our party of four. Food is good, as is service, but you expect a complete package from this genre of restaurant. Ruth Chris failed miserably and my advice is to give this restaurant a skip.

This is mine & my husbands favorite restaurant of all. We only go here on our anniversary or birthday's but you will be very pleased with the food, the atmosphere, and the excellent service. It does cost about $100 for 2 people but it is well worth it for a special occasion.

Great spot - one of my favorite spots in Nashville to sit at the bar and have an amazing steak! Serivce has always been solid and cant go wrong with the food - ever. Yes, it is pricey - but no more than any high end steak house, GREAT BAR - give it a try!

My husband and I made reservations to eat here for New Year's Eve (Dec. 2011). I had eaten here before, but this was my husband's first time. He'd heard me rave about it many times and I was so excited for him to try it. This is my only complaint....we had to wait nearly 2 HOURS to be seated! We made our reservation weeks in advance! They explained they had booked many more people than expected. I'm sorry....but you know how many tables you have. Why overbook? I guess if we'd been country stars in big, obnoxious cowboy hats we'd have been seated right away. Anyway, at least the meal was worth it. And the appletini they made me while we waited was delicious. I loved the way the bar was decorated for New Years Eve. They had balloons everywhere and free noisemakers and hats were all over the bar. It was quite festive. Once we were seated...finally....our sever was very nice. He knew the menu well and made a nice suggestion for our wine. My husband had the filet and I had the Ribeye. Both fantastic and cooked just how we like them (mine medium and my husband's medium-well). We had the asparagus with hollandaise, sautéed mushrooms, and the potatoes au gratin. All of them were delicious. To finish, we shared a piece of the "chocolate sin" cake. Oooohhhh, so good! Even with the long, long, long, wait for a table we really enjoyed the dinner. We'll be back.

First off, if you've been to a Ruth's Chris, you know what to expect, so I will start by telling you that there is nothing unique about this one that makes it a place to avoid. Its the same excellent food and service I've come to expect from the chain. If you haven't been to one, and you are looking for a place to get great food (in the steakhouse category), look no further. Ruth's Chris offers excellent food, terrific service, and a great setting for a price somewhat lower than other steakhouses in the same (or higher) class. That's not to say it's cheap. Plan to spend around at least $50 per person (salad, entree, and one side) with no alcoholic drinks. For those of us who like a salad, appetizer, entree, side, and one or two deserts, you're looking at around $80 - $100 per person. Wine will bump that up, as always. Still, that's cheaper than you will spend at other steakhouses with the same quality of food, which brings me to the most important part: the food. Amazing. I've had better, but not without spending over $200. Its simply amazing how great the food is, be it the Fillet Mignon, Lobster, or Lamb Chops. You will not be disappointed. If you're trying to impress a date with your classy taste, or looking for somewhere to wine and dine a potential client, or even looking for a place to take the family (not for young children - above 12 at least) to a nice dinner while on vacation, you aren't going to go wrong here. And if you like Banana Cream Pie, order it here. It will blow your mind.

Best Steakhouse Chain and Excellent Winelist. This doesn't feel like a chain at all, which is one reason I like it. Last visit, I had made reservations and when we arrived, there were several people at tables near us, and as a result it was a little noisy. I asked if we could sit in a different place, and the host seated us at a quieter table. Our waiter had worked there for a number of years. He was very friendly, knew the menu like the back of his hand, and most of all, very helpful. He suggested an appetizer which was great, and we checked out the truly kick butt wine list. I found a nice shiraz there when I ordered a big steak. As usual, any steak you get there is amazing. They are cooked just right, and their butter gives just that extra flavor to compliment the steak's own flavor. Their sides are huge. I recommend that you order 2 or 3 and have everyone at the table share them. We never seem to have room for dessert )wonder why?) and can't wait to go there again!!

Went here for my boyfriend's birthday in February. The valet was very convenient and we were seated promptly. Our server was very attentive and engaging. The steaks were delicious, however, I had a lot of difficulty with their ribeye. It was put on a plate that left maybe a 1/2" of plate around the steak, so there was no room to maneuver when cutting. In addition, the knife was very subpar and I really had to dig in and tear at the meat for it to cut. I tried my boyfriend's knife just in case mine was dull, but had the same problem. It was extremely frustrating not being able to cut the meat, which was cooked perfectly and delicious. Because the plates are 500 degrees and it was taking me so long to get through it, my rare steak became a medium steak in about 25 minutes. The food was delicious, the service great, but I'm bringing my own knife next time.

BBQ Shrimp. Lobster Bisque. Filet. Bread Pudding. These are my favorites! Don't overlook the rasberry sorbet, it is a very close second! Oh and did I mention the lobster bisque??? It is the best!!

It's a decent steak, don't get me wrong. When you soak it in that much butter, it should be. Just was underwhelmed by the overall experience and lacking quality/money. Service was par for the course. Try The Palm downtown, instead.

I really don't like chain restaurants and only went because my boyfriend loves steak. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Ruth's Chris. The steaks came out perfectly, green beans and cream corn were top notch. The banana pudding was out of this world. We also really liked our server.
