Not just for eat in. I did a lunch and learn presentation just down the street and we had them cater. Way better than the typical sandwich lunch catering food. Would recommend to any one who would need that kind of service. The staff was also very professional.

Four considerations: 1) Seems like you get less meat than the alternatives (Moes and Chipolte). Also Moes and Chipolte are relatively close. One is about 3 minutes away and the other is about 7 minutes away (both on West End). 2) Kinda messy at a non-peak hour. 3) Not the nicest Qudoba I've been too (as in well run and quality food) 4) Water leak in the corner. Ewww.... It will probably be a long, long time before I come back.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE qdoba. However, I will NEVER EVER again make the mistake of returning to this awful location! First of all, I noticed the parking lot is unusually dimly lit for a place that's open late. Second, an actual employee was about to engage in a physical altercation in the parking lot as I was entering the building. Next, employees were moving very slowly, and the food line was absolutely disgusting! None of it even looked appetizing! There was spillage everywhere, and the food did not look fresh. The employees, for lack of a better word, were very ghetto. Absolute trash. They were disorganized and inconsiderate. I'm very let down by the service, quality of food, and cleanliness of the restaurant. Whoever is running that establishment should be ashamed.

Weekend late-night 1,500 calorie awesomeness with a side of regret the next morning. I don't normally rate chain restaurants, but this Qdoba caters to those who failed bringing home a lady friend from Tin Roof where you can settle for a close second of a queso breakfast burrito mixed with home fries, sausage, salsa rojo, pico, and more cheese. They are open crazy late on the weekends.

I love the food here but I will never ever go back to this location. I was going through the line and one of the employees started slopping things on my plate in the most careless way- you could tell he either hated his sad life serving here or he was just having a bad day. Maybe his cat died? I'll try to give him the benefit of the doubt but when you are a customer service representative you need to be professional and leave that shit at home. Anyway- when we got to the salsas I asked him which one was mild (because I don't go to Qdoba every damn day I didn't know) and he said "You can have any of this", which was confusing because I was asking for a type of salsa so I replied that I wanted the mild one. I don't know if he was ignoring me or couldn't hear me but he repeated "you can have any of this". I stared at him blankly and I think he was getting stressed out that a line was forming behind me and he violently pointed to my options and raised his voice and said "this, this, this or this!" COMPLETELY missing my point- I was asking what each type of salsa was! He was so belligerent it was unbelievable! He hurt my feelings to the point where I almost started crying, he made me feel dumb. Which is the worst type of costumer service. He threw my food to the cashier and she was pissed too- she gave me and my boyfriend free drinks because of how rude he was being (you could tell she was embarrassed) but she couldn't really do much about it. WHERE WAS THE MANAGER!? My meal should have been free. I hope they fired him.

No cheese. Apparently this is not a concept understood by the staff here. More than once a handful of cheese was tossed into my food, only to be hand-picked out. Do I get a fresh burrito untainted with cheese? No. I get the *salvaged* burrito with about 1/2 a cup of the gas-maker. The staff simply don't listen. They ask what you want, then space out while mechanically making you the burrito that was ordered 4 customers ago. On top of all that? Rude service, dirty counters. Would I come back? Only if I am desparate (or if Chipotle closes).

Terrible. Mariela does a great job of getting to the kernel of truth: "Qdoba is popular amongst people that don't know any better." I'm a burrito elitist, so I'm inclined to hate mega-franchises (it's owned by jack-in-the-box! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qd… ). But in the interest of fairness, I'll list the specific reasons why Qdoba sucks, rather than simply ranting about the philosophical reasons not to eat there. 1) Their burritos are bland. This is because their meat is bland. They have no flavor profile, because their flavors come in packets from national HQ. Their salsas are also quite bland. 2) I'm sorry Nashville, consumption of queso sauce is acceptable only on nachos at sporting events and on occasions of extreme drunkenness. In my burrito, never. 3) Their employees need to learn to roll. They just slop the ingredients onto the tortilla in a big mound without even a not to rough linearity (is that a word?). Then, they carelessly schlump (that's right, schlump) it all into an amorphous softball-like blob that quickly seeps through its wrapper and makes you devolve into taking a spoon to its bland, mushy innards. 4) Nine bucks for a burrito and a drink!? Is there some sort of prize involved? Is there a silver decoder ring buried in my beans? I seldom leave qdoba without feeling raped in the wallet and the stomach lining. The only reason this place stays in business is it's close to Vanderbilt's campus and it's open late. This city deserves a better class of made-to-order burrito joint. Oh wait, it has one. yelp.com/biz/baja-burrit…

I have only tried a couple of things here because the Ancho BBQ Burrito Bowl is awesome and I can't stop myself from ordering it every time! It is a version of a burrito on the menu, but naked, or without a tortilla. They start by layering the bottom of the bowl with cilantro infused rice and then offer you your choice of black or pinto beans. You can then choose from steak, pork, or chicken. I have only gone with the steak once, the pork once, and the chicken the rest of the time because I thought it was the best of the three. Next, they ladle on the absolute best part of the bowl, which is the ancho bbq sauce. It is the perfect combination of my personal favorite flavor profile-smoky, sweet, and spicy. After that, you can get as wild and crazy as you want and load it up or keep it simple. I usually add pico de gallo, roasted corn salsa, habanero salsa, and shredded cheese. To complement this delicious bowl, I always add a few lime wedges to my Coke Zero that really works well with the flavors. With the great customer service and consistently tasty, fresh food, I will continue to make my bi-weekly visit and probably eat the Ancho BBQ Burrito Bowl every single time.

It is a solid burrito place best frequented late at night after a night out on the town. But, I have had a few dinners here and the food is always consistent. I hate the pricing scheme, since it's like $7 for some damn queso and chips, but eh, it is on the card. The restaurant area is a little messy, in a way that is unsettling enough to comment on it here. Don't expect any kosher or health standards to be in mind here. But, at least the food is cheap. If it comes off the card, I wouldn't stop by here, but as long as they are on the Vandy card, students will always be at the Q.

This review is for Qdoba in general not for this particular one location. But I do like this location's hours, they are open until 2:00 am during weekday. If you like Chipotle like I do, you need to give Qdoba a try. Big fan of their Gumbo, Tortilla Soup, and naked Burrito. I also like their Craft 2, so you can pick 2 small items instead of one giant burrito. Fresh ingredient, good flavor.

I have to admit - I visit Qdoba at least twice a week. As bad as it sounds, It's one of the only places you can get a healthy meal (yes you actually can) late at night. I love their webpage - you can build your own meal and it adds and subtracts nutrition info. What I get us under 350 calories! Staff is always very friendly, it's always very clean and as long as the line can be at times - they always move it pretty quickly. Couple of wishes. I wish they were open late EVERY night. Sunday - Wednesday they are only open till 11. Thurs - Saturday it's until 4am. I sure wish they were open into the wee hours every night. In fact, I think they would do well if they were 24 hours on those busy weekend nights! HOWEVER be warned. If you do go on a Friday or Saturday night after midnight - especially between 2 and 4 am - be prepared to stand in a long and VERY ANNOYING line. There are nothing but drunk (usually young vandy kids) in line. They are always obnoxious, rude, pushing, cussing, etc. You get the picture. They do have security in there on those nights. So just be warned and prepared to bite your tongue, ha!

Ramblings of a burrito snob here. Qdoba is a chain so off the bat that is a slight negative in my book. The burritos are mission style which means they are massive. They have all the standard meats, vegetarian options, and toppings that you find at most mission style shops so you can customize your burrito however you see fit. For the calorie conscious they offer naked burritos in a bowl which is always a plus for me. If burritos aren't you thing they have quite a few other options like Mexican gumbo, tortilla soup, tacos, quesadillas, and a host of other standard tex-mex type fare. Other noteworthy items - I like the fact that they have a rewards program via the Qdoba card and every 10th meal is free. I'm also a fan of the habanero salsa. It noticeably hotter than what you find at the other local chains. All in all this is a solid option for a quick burrito. Quality wise Baja and Chipotle get my vote for better options but the wide range of choices here make it worthy of a nice change-up from those two every now and again.

WORST SERVICE EVER! I've worked in service for many years so I try to be patient when it comes to dealing with people in that industry, but for the first time in my life I had to say something and not even an apology. There was one boy who was doing all the work and the girl at the cash register decided instead of helping with the line of customers that she needed to restock the cups, when there were plenty already there. It took about 20 minutes for me to get my one meal, when there was only two people ahead of me in line. Even the manager walked by seeing the line waiting for for their orders to be complete and did not say a word. I've been to this location in the past, for lunch they seem to be faster maybe they have capable workers and managers at that time, the dinner crew has always been extremely slow, this has been my worst experience and I don't believe I will ever go back. The food is okay, a step up from Taco Bell, but Chipotle is down the street and has much better service and better flavor.

Really good burrito! It's like Chipotle, but gourmet. We found Qdoba by exiting off the freeway, following signs to the University, and going *point* "Let's eat there". We didn't even know what to expect. I had the Poblano Pesto Signature Burrito. Seriously, how can you go wrong with a burrito that has chicken and pesto? I love pesto. It was really good. I like being able to watch my food get prepared, so I know what is and isn't going in it. Even though it was HOT and HUMID, it was still nice to sit outside and eat. We even managed to prop the table umbrella open, which the previous table inhabitants didn't do. + Cheap + Fast + Fresh + Filling - Corporate (subsidiary of JITB)

I absolutely LOVE Qdoba! They're open at very convenient hours and they're usually really friendly. I've been here so many times, I think half of the staff knows my order by heart! The food always seems fresh, and though it's not gourmet, they do make their own tortilla chips and their queso is to die for! I'm not usually a huge fast food fan, but I'm a BIG mexican food fan and this is one of my favorites! I definitely recommend trying it out!

I was beginning to give up hope that almost any of the burrito places would have any flavor. Blue Coast, Chili Burrito Co, Baja Burrito were as bland as chalk, and I had no reason to expect this place to be any better. The service was reasonable for the busy lunch line; the menu was bigger than most burrito places offer, but the staff was ho hum, and the prices weren't anything to sing about. But when I actually bit into the chicken burrito, it was actually pretty darn tasty. The rice had some taste to it; the chicken had been marinated; the cheese had a little zip to it, and the salsa wasn't just spicy, it was rich. Overall, it was an enjoyable burrito, and I was disappointed when I was finished. Other than Chipotle, and Mr. Burrito Fresh, I had not experienced this is in a burrito for some time. Would I recommend this over Chipotle? No. But it is nice to have several good choices for faux mexican cuisine in the West End area. If Chipotle is too busy, or whatever, Qdoba makes a nice little alternative.

This Qdoba location is highly visible from West End and is situated in facing both West End and 21st. It is kind of a weird angle for a building to be built, but hey, I guess it helps to catch your eye! I consider myself to be a Mexican food aficionado, hence why I have reviewed so many Mexican places. I would consider Qdoba to be more of a fast food style Mexican place, than an actual restaurant. I have only had the burritos here and they are pretty tasty! The salsa they use is super zesty, I think it compliments the burrito well.

this location is consistently the worst... Sloppy food and mediocre service. I actually had to flirt with the "lady" behind the counter to get her to make my food. What happened to this location. It used to be my favorite. Now the only reason to come here is breakfast burritos after midnight on a Saturday... even then I am not sure if its worth the hassle.

Mexican gumbo is bomb. Chipotle's minimalist, rather bland style pales in comparison to Q'Dub's flavorful, expansive menu. Queso is the knockout punch. staff members are gracious, patient, and kind.

Quick serve chains rarely provider great service, this location is no different. The employees are friendly, but the service is marginal. This particular Qdoba is popular with the Vandy crowd; you'll always run into a group of wide eyed kids. Burritos seem to be one of the new in things in Nashville along with cupcakes. You'll find new burrito joints every where in the city...and soon a Chipotle will be opening right down the street. Qdoba is great for a quick, cheap, and usually decent meal. I'm bound to eat here again....they're now open 24 hours on Fridays & Saturdays.

Qdoba is popular amongst people that don't know any better. I would call it a Mexican restaurant but rather it Falls more into the Tex Mex variety. Though I'm eternally disappointed with Nashville's attempt at making a burrito I will say that Qdoba is the only place that actually at least builds them correctly. That is to say, that unlike the usual burrito of Nashville Mexican restaurants that only include tortillas, cheese and meat, at least Qdoba knows to put rice, beans and lots of other goodies inside. I am a huge burrito snob, so pardon my overly critical review! I will say that Qdoba has a great variety of well-made burritos and you really can't go wrong with their Queso Burrito!

Rudest employees, drunk Vandy kids and an actual cop watching everything as Qdoba personal security guard. Good choice on tax dollars well spent Nashville!

OK... for late night food options, I admit it right now... I want some Taco Bell. When they created the verde salsa, my head exploded. But I digress, the BF went to Vanderbilt, and I swear there is some kind of Vandy bond that goes with Qdoba.... maybe it's nostalgia, but he swears by the late night Qdoba visit. Anywho, I lost the Taco Bell battle with him and we went to Qdoba on Sunday night. I had a small "naked" chicken burrito bowl and the tortilla soup. The burrito bowl was pretty tiny but tasted OK. I very much enjoyed the habanero salsa.. it had a very nice kick to it, and I appreciate that! The soup was tasty as well and I left not feeling too full which I guess is a good and bad thing. Food was fine, but I couldn't help but wonder what all I could have bought at Taco Bell for $7.00... Let the late night Mexican food battle continue!

Terrible customer service. I walked in around 5 pm on a Tuesday. It took about 2 min for anyone behind the counter to even acknowledge me (I was the only customer at the time too). The person preparing my food rushed through the order and didn't really ask me what I wanted on my burrito. She put my food at the register and told me to wait for someone to check me out while she went to prepare other orders. It took a good 5 minutes I actually get checked out. In the meantime, another employee behind the counter was throwing chicken on a grill and then another came out talking on his cell phone. Cell phone guy takes one look at the customers and then walks back into the kitchen to finish his call before coming out several minutes later to ring up my order. The food was ok, but the service ruined the experience. Maybe another shift with different employees would be different.

This review is not about the food. I like the food. The girls up front today were very unprofessional. They argued with my wife about menu items (and were in the wrong on the facts as well as treating her badly). They went so far as to gossip about her in front of us as they continued to screw up our order. On top of that they really didn't pay attention to what they were doing as they gossiped loudly amongst themselves and handed over some food that looked horrible (dollops of guac in a pile in the corner, salsa overloaded and dripping over the edge of the bowl). It doesn't take much to make fast food a little better but they actually made it a little worse. I like Qdoba but won't return to that location when their manager lets this sort of rude, loud behavior go unchecked at the front of the store.

I came here when I first arrived at Nash. The workers aren't as nice as the workers at the places surrounding this one. I guess you just wouldn't like to work here, I wouldn't. They didn't even ask me if I wanted rice in the burrito, which I never have! :( I can't say that I like this place more than I do Chipotle, but it has its perks... The food was pretty good! I just wish the staff would have been a bit friendlier..

Qdoba is my fast-casual Mexican restaurant of choice. Mainly because I hate Chipotle's chicken, but this isn't about Chipotle, now, is it? I was first introduced to Qdoba earlier this year when a friend passed along a $5 Any Entree email to me that was good during the end of tax season. Only $5 for a delicious burrito bowl? COUNT. ME. IN. Seeing my friend get this sweet coupon prompted me to sign up for their texts/emails and have since been rewarded with other discounted meals. The meat is flavorful. While they do just have your standard ingredients to add, they are always fresh and don't look disgusting waiting to be thrown on your extra large burrito tortilla. The cheese sauce costs a bit more to be added, but DAMN does it make the meal. My favorite thing about this location is that it's open until 4am on Friday and Saturday. I guess this is a perk of living near Vandy, but it also saves me from eating drunken Taco Bell, and for that, I am in love. The only reason I am docking one star is because a cashier once told me she didn't know about their rewards program because "no one ever tells [her] anything, ever."

Can I do more then 5 stars? I have been going to this place for years. I could write a book on how much Q means to me. Its been a place for so many get togethers...from after work, after shows, meeting new people, meeting old people...etc I cant say enough for how much I love this restaurant. I do miss Katie Qdoba though she was really into customer service and if something went wrong with an order she would do whatever to fix it where as now they may or may not just depends

We hit this place about every two weeks for lunch, and it's consistently good each time. For the most part, I always get the Naked Ancho BBQ Burrito bowl with black beans and chicken, then topped with their amazingly good Ancho BBQ sauce. It's the perfect combination of smoky and sweet, but it's unlike any other BBQ sauce I know. Then, I get my bowl topped with pico, corn salsa and their fiery habanero salsa, along with a little bit of cheese...just because, you know, it's cheese! The combo of ingredients in this bowl is amazing, and when given the option, I would choose Qdoba over the similarly priced Chipotle and Moe's. On other visits, I've tried at least one of the following, and they're all as delicious as the last: nachos, chicken tortilla soup and tacos. Although I've never actually had the wrapped burrito, the person in line in front of me ordered one and it was about the size of a small child's head. You definitely won't be hungry after eating it! Qdoba isn't where you want to go for good, authentic Mexican food; however, if you're looking for something fast, quick and delicious, the folks at Qdoba have what you need.

Vegetarian bean burrito and a nice size bag of chips and salsa all for around $8.50 = not bad. Not bad at all. However, I just didn't enjoy the flavor and would rather have more vegetable topping options that are healthy and delish than a 'rito the size of my 5pound chihuahua. Sorry Chico, no offense meant buddy. There was nothing horrible about the taste but it was just uninspiring and lacked any noticeable flavor. I wasn't impressed with the habenero salsa either. Perhaps this is why I make it an effort to avoid chain restaurants whenever I can but I would rather pay a bit more and have a memorable and tasty meal. I however take full responsibility for popping in today due to convenience. Overall, you'll feel stuffed post meal but not satisfied!

"Fresh Mex" and I do not mix. I get that they're promoting a unique menu that's not quite Mexican and not quite Americanized Mexican, either. But a cheese sauce that's kind of iffy, an odd citrus-y taste to the tortillas (I wonder if they get their chips from the same source as Chipotle -- they both have the same weird taste to them), and no discernible salsa (at least my order didn't come with any) -- and I start wondering why I even bother. The place does get busy, so perhaps I should have tried something more popular.

A long time ago, back when I was a first-year grad student, a friend and I used to partake in an event we called "Q it up Fridays", which was essentially fancy speak for what ultimately amounted to having an afternoon taco snack at Qdoba at around 3 pm every Friday. Perhaps because I was young(er) and naive(r) then, I thought Qdoba was the bee's knees and looked forward to our weekly pilgrimage with gusto. After our first two years, however, schedules and life made it so that Q it up Fridays were no longer a priority and my visits to Qdoba dropped off dramatically. These days, I maybe only visit Qdoba twice a year, and that's generally just because it's one of the closest weekday lunch options for me on the rare occasion I am too lazy to pack my own. Perhaps it is because I no longer see the world through the rose-tinted lenses of those halcyon early grad student days or maybe it's just that this Qdoba has gone WAY downhill. Whatever it is, my last few visits to Qdoba have been really underwhelming. I suspect the food tastes much the same as it always does, but the people behind the counter are no longer as friendly as they once were, and even worse, the attention to detail is minimal at best. The last two times I visited, my order was screwed up; once I ordered (and paid for!) a steak burrito, but was given chicken instead. The other time, my gumbo was missing the crispy tortilla strips, which are one of the highlights of that dish, in my opinion. I don't expect culinary genius when I go to Qdoba, but it would be nice if they could at least get my order consistently correct. At first I thought it was kind of redundant that a Chipotle is opening up a little ways down 21st avenue, but given the lackluster performance Qdoba has delivered on my last few visits, Chipotle will likely be a welcome alternative.

For a fast food place, it's in the top. I'll take Qdoba over T-Bell anyday. It's packed during lunch but they have yet to mess up my order. At night, well, one guy told me he doesn't speak Spanish when I ordered carnitas. This has less to do with Qdoba and more to do with the angry, college student who was working the 2am shift. Note: Qdoba by no means is "Mexican." After eating legit Mexican food in California for 10 years, I never once saw queso on the menu. This people is Tex-Mex, or at least that's what I'm told. Either way I'll be coming back for the quesadilla without the pico in the middle and I will dip it in their guac. The nachos are interesting too. It's like higher class movie nachos only because the melted queso is whitish and not velveeta yellow. After I go to Chipotle, I'll let you know which one is better.

Homoginized and Americanized, and a side of Medicore. For a place like this you don't expect much and usually get what you expect. The food wasn't terrible and as my friend said, at least it was better then the Taco Bell or Jack in the Box across West End. But I think you are 10 times better off going to a sit down Mexican restaurant then going to this place. The food portions are not that great compared to the competition, making it a bit expensive for what you get. This is a fast food feeling kind of place and my total was around 8 bucks. I got a chicken burritto. Nothing was wrong with it, but nothing to write home about either. The service wasn't that great either. The counter people didn't seem to care if you are even there, just going through the motions. I've always thought that a good manager team could hire friendly workers and then train them to appear cheerful and to smile. Chick Filet comes to mind. I like the way they seem happy to give you a drink refill there and when you say thank you they always say "my pleasure". Most of them probably don't mean it, but it feels good anyway. Either, spend some extra money and go somewhere better than Qdoba, or make the drive to Baja Burrito or Chile Burrito. They are both much better, and in the same price range.

What can I say? It's a chain, so I'm not expecting the food to be amazing, but the food here is very good and tastes fresh. The restaurant is clean, and the all of the staff I've interacted with have been pleasant. Sometimes it's really difficult for them to hear me with everything going on in the kitchen, though, and vice versa.

Decent burritos at a decent price. I've never met someone that prefers this place over its nearby competitor Chipotle, though. The ingredients just aren't as tasty. The burrito ingredients are good but just not as good as its competitors. There is also the greater commitment of hormone and antibiotic free meat use at Chipotle. So factor that in if that's of importance to you. The daily made chips, lightly salted, meet the need along with the "pretty good" guacamole. There is also the greater commitment of hormone and antibiotic free meat used at Chipotle. So factor that in if that's of importance to you. In a nutshell, I only head here when I get a BOGO email in my inbox. I leave pretty happy with that discount factored in.

This was a terrible place to eat. I have a similar experience a few times at a Qdoba... I'm a Chipotle fan all the way. The manager at Qdoba came out of the kitchen, saw there was a line and said the "F" word really loud. He carried on with a terrible attitude and had no smile or care for what he was doing. The table I was going to sit at had a dirty surface, and a used plastic glove from an employee. My chips were stale and food was mediocre. I'll never eat at a Q ever again. Chipotle is the real deal.

I give this 4 stars because I only ever get one dish and it's always to-go. The veggie taco salad. I love it and, therefore, force myself to only get it once every couple months or so. It's so delicious. But service is always quick and on average with a casual restaurant like this.

Its on the corner of West End and 21st. Very convenient to Vandy students and late night people alike. I can't believe they're open up until 6am on weekends (Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays)!!! And they make things easy for Vandy students since they take the commodore card. They have plenty of seating and parking and the staff are usually friendly (if they're not too overwhelmed by the crowds). The food is tasty as always. My only complaint is that the parking lot seems to attract illicit activity as well as Vandy and metro police. The entry way guard is a bit intimidating too, but his presence makes me feel safe. Also, why close at 9pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays? Can't they close later like 10 or 11? I'm a student! I have no sense of time! And I have burrito cravings late in the night.

I went here for the first time today, and I was actually really impressed. I had gone online earlier in the day and got the nutrition facts for the Naked Chicken Taco Salad and was really looking forward to it. I got there right at noon and the line was packed. The prep folks were going a hundred miles a minute though. It was unreal how quickly we got through the line. We were lucky and found a table right away, some people actually had to wait around for one to open up. We sat and chatted afterward since the line had slowed up. The salad was really good. I was impressed by how tasty, yet healthy it was. I'm definitely going back. Only downside was that it cost $8.

Of all the places to be a regular customer in college, I have become a regular at this particular Qdoba. I must've come here every weekend for an entire school since I live across the street. The staff is friendly for a chain restaurant--the lady who runs the place told me to skip the line once because she knows that I only get chips and queso during the week. Once, I got a free drink from one of the staff because I had to wait through a line of drunken partiers for chips and queso. I guess the gist of this review was that I like chips and queso, and Chipotle doesn't have queso, so I end up here a lot. And that's fine. The quesadillas are also good with rice on them (mmm carbs) so try that out sometime. But they're not great without cheese, which happened to me once, so make sure to get queso on your dilla.

I've noticed that this place gets very mixed reviews. I love it simply for the fact that it's open until 5 in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays..the hours listed on Yelp say 4, but I THINK they are now open until 5...whatever, they're open at 2:30 in the morning when my husband and I are a little, um, tipsy...yeah, that's the word. There are not too many things better than a huge, very terrible-for-you burrito after a fun night out. You'll meet the most interesting people at that time, too. Sure, the employees could be a little happier and the food could taste a little better, but you know what? I used to work fast food and have to deal with the drunk crowd. It gets to you sometimes. PLUS the guac is free. I love Chipotle, I do, but adding guacamole to a burrito is not $2 and some change worth of work.

It is odd to be the 'Yelp Dutchess' or whatnot of Qdoba and still be giving it a single star. Maybe I need have higher standards for myself? My problems with Qdoba are not the food, which I really like as fast food goes - tasty, reasonably priced and yummy lime tortilla chips make me happy when I'm too busy for anything else. The problem is the staff. The very, very slow staff who frankly rank as some of the least happy service workers I've ever seen. No greeting, you know, ever. People who yell at you if you break out a Qdoba rewards card DON'T SWIPE IT NOW! (because apparently its hooked up to a nuclear detonator on set to 'swipe card before cashier is ready'). This weekend we opted to go online and order in advance in the hopes of avoiding the kind of human interaction that make the staff so dang grumpy. Order online, head down there to pick it up and.....nothing. Nadda. Food isn't ready and, wait for it....there is not a single customer in line. Go to register and ask and they are working on it (bear in mind, its a burrito and two tacos). They get three groups of 2 or 3 people. Wait on them. Still no food for us. Wait 20 minutes. When no one is in the store 'can we have the food now?' to the manager and we get a 'we're working on it!'. Yeah, so apparently they were working on screwing it up with the wrong meat in tacos, none of the veggies we asked for and a whole lot of attitude. Hard to believe they have worse personalities on the internet than in real life. Also, there's a Chipotle on 21st.....go there.

Yay drunk food! This particular location stays open until 5am and is conveniently located near the midtown & downtown bar scene. At 4am your choices are pretty limited: Jack in the box, Wendy's, Paradise Park.... For taco lovers, this is your only option. So late last night after all the booze, my tummy demanded tacos. Chipotle & Moe's serve higher quality food so during normal business hours, I wouldn't visit Qdoba, but their crispy tacos hit the spot while intoxicated. Be prepared for a 25 minute line at 3:45am. As the bar scene wines down, you won't be the only one craving grease.

Comfort Food Late at Night! This one is located inside the Vanderbilt campus (technically the university is intertwined into the city) and you can actually see the big Vandy sign out the window. They have plenty of parking, although I've gone mostly at late night hours. One thing for sure, this place is busy. Even at like 1 in the morning, there is plenty of people on the line inside to make an order. But they seem to have fast service. I've always ordered online and just skipped the line. The service seems friendly to me, but I also never really had to stand there and make orders. I think one time, I ordered food, but they closed earlier than the time mentioned on the website, but they opened it up when I got there to give me the food. I don't think the main website hours are completely accurate, so if it's late on a Thursday to Saturday night, might want to call before making the trek there. I'm vegetarian for the most part, so obviously not talking about the meat options. The food is definitely a large portion. A burrito is huge, and definitely weighs a good amount. This is food baby type stuff, that may cause you to loosen up your belt by a few notches afterwards. The burrito has some nice flavors, plenty of cheese, and the sauces definitely add flavors. I also love the ability to make combinations with a variety of options as fillings instead of being pigeonholed into certain toppings, so that's always a plus. Albeit, this is true for a lot of burrito bars. I also like the quesadilla at this place, although I have to add in the special comments section for an option to add beans to the dish. I think the beans add very good flavor to go with the cheese. The chips and dip are pretty good, I'm just not sure if it's worth the money as the same as other options. I like it, but it being the same price makes me go away from it, feel like I'm not getting that much value out of it. It does taste good though. The place has pretty good seating as well, so most of the time, it shouldn't be a problem getting a seat. I think the main attraction here is the late hours that they are open especially towards the weekends. I think the only downside is that it's located near a police trap zone on West End, so be very light on the accelerator no matter how hungry you are. I think I would recommend this place to most people for some late night food.

This is the largest Qdoba I have ever seen, located right by Vanderbilt University. It is open until the wee hours of the morning, serving breakfast after midnight. A solid choice for quick eats, especially late night. Not the cleanest place around, but hey, they're open.

Not so Friendly staff and good burritos not expensive at all. The location has lots of parking although the exterior comes off as a little dirty the inside is always very clean and comfortable. Love the queso! The hours of being open all night long is great for late night cravings :)

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
