I will first say I didn't try the pizza. I had a salad and bruschetta. Both were beyond amazing. I can honestly say that the bruschetta was the best I've ever had. This is a hole in the wall place, a friend who is a local metro police officer told us about this place. The decor is kind of dated and we had to switch out a couple chairs because they were wobbly, but I am giving a free pass based on how awesome the food way. My kids and a friend all had pizza and they loved it.

I would definitely call this a neighborhood pizza place. The people are extremely friendly and were gracious that I was a customer. I had a pepperoni pizza to go and because I was nice to them they threw in some cheesy bread without me even asking. Pizza was one of the best I have had in Nashville and my friends thought so as well. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Used to be my favorite pizza in Nashville just a few years ago but I tried it recently and the quality had really gone down a lot. The service was great and everyone was really nice but the pizza was no longer good. Did they change owners or something?

I have two reviews for this place: lunch buffet 1 star - i've had thicker wheat thins than the pizza crust of the pizzas on this buffet. And the salad bar has a LOT to be desired with most of the salad fixings weren't refilled and the pizzas were in short supply also. Not for the hungry, that's for sure. Now for supper 5 stars - great hand tossed pizza with a good selection of toppings. The other menu options are great eating treats. In all, lunch buffet no, supper yes.

Went here on a whim on a Sunday to grab some lunch before a work meeting downtown. I wanted sushi from O'Sake, but they were not open yet and I was hungry. So I figured I would have some pizza, but I should have left as soon as I walked in. They were deserted and the seats were really uncomfortable. The food was ho-hum but for being completely empty, it took forever to get. For what I paid I could have gotten better food at Cafe-Coco. I do not plan on returning anytime soon, especially now that I have discovered Jets.

Somewhere in between 2 & 3 stars is where my review lies. The pizza was ok, the large is what I would consider a medium and the price was what I would consider for a large with extra toppings. The crust reminded me a bit of the Mr Gattis style, different taste, but similar. The top of my veggie pizza was ok. It was, all in all, an ok pizza at a price that should have given me nearly twice as much. Not bad, not great, might go again but no real over-arching desire to.

Well, I really only tried this place because I had a Scoutmob and thought it's worth a shot. I ordered the GF meat lovers, half with cheese, half without. (Note: GF options only come in the medium sized pie). The GF dough is pre-bought, that's obvious, but the toppings were good. If I can't have cheese, you bet I'm gonna load up on the meat! It was nothing great, but enough for 2 people to lunch on before beginning St. Paddy's day drinking.

Not the best, but certainly not bad. Went here with my parents a while back & it took quite a bit for us to get our food. Our pizza wasn't even super hot when we got it...huh? Since I've discovered Bellagio, I probably will stick with that instead.

Good pizza is good pizza and that's exactly what this place is - good thin crust pizza with a sweet tomato sauce. We ordered the vegetable pizza and it came with fresh tomatoes, fresh green peppers, olives and extra cheese. Not inventive, just good fresh pizza. I'd definitely go back. For the pizza. Not the decor. Not the service. The pizza. Get the point? You come for their pizza.

Got a Philly cheestesteak sub. Its delicious... a little salty and oniony, but I like it! Also, I was really happy with the delivery guy. Even though, it took him some time to get to me, he knew where my residence hall was and was very friendly. He smiled and said "Hi, how are you?" Amazing! ... most of my delivery guys are kind of jerks...

Like many other restaurants I leave reviews for, I discovered this one because of the amazing app called Scout Mob. Who's gonna pass up 50% off? Walking into the restaurant, I was holding the door open for a lady who picked up a to-go order, and as she was walking out she kept raving to the server how much she loved them and was so happy to see them-good first impression. My server was Nicole, and she was the best server I could have had. She was so personal, friendly, and honest. She was amazing! I went for the chicken fettucini and boy was I delighted. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was even better. I'm not even that much of a fan of tomatoes (i know, doesn't make much sense at an Italian restaurant) but I loved the taste of the sun dried tomatoes within this dish. Normally I find that there's too much pasta and not enough chicken, but this wasn't the case. There was a huge bread roll that came with it, all covered in yummy butter. I couldn't eat all of it, so I will be warming my leftovers up now since talking about it has made me hungry for it again.

Tried this place through taste of Nashville, using vandy money and here is my review.. So I got chicken Alfredo for the second night in a row, and I wasn't as impressed by this one. Or it could be that I'm eating it too much. Anyways, good bRead stick, except it's a BREADSTICK.... One :( Lastly, the cheesecake looked plain. And tasted like plain old cheesecake. Nothing more to say. Great food, and they deliver! The delivery man was very nice! Loved the service, especially since they were quick about bringing it over.

I was craving a pizza, but something different from the regular chains. Michaelangelo's was open at the time and had what I was looking for. First, they offer other sauces then the plain marinara, i opted for the alfredo sauce. Second, service was pretty fast. It arrived in 25 minutes, when most places say 45. Third, the crust was delicious. Not too thin or thick, but just right! Usually I leave the leftovers for the boyfriend, but not this time.

Meh. I've Experienced better. The pre-populated Yelp description almost sums it up perfectly. The pizza was not bad, but nothing memorable at all. I had the chicken pesto and a Pepperoni and they were both extremely forgettable and kind of heavy. They claim that the dough and ingredients are made fresh everyday, but I find that a little bit hard to believe, tasted more like frozen than fresh. The prices are also at the high end of the scale for pizza. I know that it is in a prime location, but you got to back it up with some quality grub. In a town with some truly excellent pizza options I will probably not be back for more unless I am stranded on on Elliston and everything else is closed.

Solid good American style pizza. I devoured a 12" by myself and loved it. The crust was nice and crispy even down to the last slice. This pizza joint is definitely a hidden gem of the neighborhood.

This is a pretty good little traditional style Italian shop just off Elliston that serves tasty pizzas, calzones and subs. I know in the past I've endorsed the nearby Obie's, but Michaelangelo's has equally tasty and authentic pizzas and subs. Michaelangelo's is relatively inexpensive, and it makes for a pretty good spot to stop in if you're shopping or hanging around in the Elliston area. It's around the...well, corner from Corner Bar and Flashback, so people often overlook it. It's the place with the large mural of part of Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam," and it's kind of hard to miss once you round that corner. The place has a typically deserted dining area and a nice little split-level upstairs that's cool for a lazy afternoon. The staff is pretty fast but not especially welcoming, but you can have a pretty hearty meal for around $7. Try their meatball sub--very tasty.

I had Michaelangelo's thin crust pizza last weekend and it totally hit the spot. It was thin and crispy with TONS of flavor. Exactly what I wanted that night. I will be ordering again, and again...

Michaelangelo's Pizza is just a block off of Elliston Place kinda tucked out of the way of foot traffic. They serve gourmet, special, and traditional style pizzas, pasta dishes, calzones, and subs. I visited their little pizza shop late in the afternoon so there was nobody in the shop at all, I ended up ordering one of their toasted subs to go, cause I didn't want to sit in the shop by myself. They served it up fairly quickly, and the sandwich was really big and filling. Their veggie sub has lots of melty mozzarella cheese and red sauce, with mushrooms and green peppers. A good combination!

We ordered lunch from here today because 1. Obie's ovens weren't working and 2. they deliver to Music Row. I really wasn't all that impressed by the food. First off, I ordered a calzone and got a pizza. Now, in their defense they did handle that really well. The pizza wasn't bad, but I prefer others over it. I was shocked by their pizzaiola "autentico" pizza sauce is extremely sweet. Again, not bad, just shocking. The ingredients were good (I had pineapple and bacon) but the crust just didn't do it for me. My coworker got the baked spaghetti and hated it. It hardly had any sauce and the baked cheese had to be completely pulled back to get at the noodles. Another coworker had the veggie sub and thought it was great. We all agreed though, next time we'll go elsewhere.

Pizza was good! They are open until 3am! One of the few restaurants in Nashville that don't' close by10pm on a weekend! We had half meat supreme and half with everything. Also tried the wings...nothing spectacular, but not bad. I wouldn't mind trying this place again.

I've been meaning to open a Yelp account over the last few months. The food from this restaurant made me take the plunge immediately... to warn others not to eat there. Bad, so bad.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
