Most burgers served at McDonald's are low in sugar but there are several burgers which are high in sodium. You must choose burger options which are low in sugar and moderate in sodium content. You can also avoid extra dressings or cheese over your burger to control diabetes at McDonald's.
Foods to Avoid for Diabetics at McDonald's
Diabetics will find many tempting food items at McDonald's but most of these food items are also high in sugar or sodium. Diabetics must skip desserts and shakes at McDonald's to avoid sugar spike. You should also skip all McCafe drinks except a few containing low sugar and fat-free options. Besides the drinks and beverages, you should also avoid bacon-based and sausage-based burgers and sandwiches to limit your sodium intake. Diabetics should also skip the sausage-based salad options available at McDonald's.
Most burgers at fast food joints contain a high amount of sodium. You must keep your sodium intake in check if you are suffering from high blood pressure. McDonald's offers a wide range of burgers based on your diet preferences. Choose the right burger and avoid French fries at all cost while dining at McDonald's.
Foods to Avoid at McDonald's for High Blood Pressure
Avoid Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit Burger and Bacon, Egg & Cheese McGriddles at McDonald's as both these burgers are high in sodium. Skip extra cheese and avoid French fries if possible as they are too greasy and can add to your sodium intake. Also, avoid all types of sausage-based burgers or sandwiches at McDonald's to limit your sodium levels.
Food Suggestions for High Blood Pressure at McDonald's
Cholesterol is the biggest concern for people visiting McDonald's, especially people suffering from high cholesterol. You can order chicken or egg burgers instead of ham or cheeseburgers to maintain your cholesterol levels at McDonald's. In addition, you can also try the salads and opt for drinks that low in sugar.
Foods to Avoid at MCDONALD'S for High Cholesterol
Bacon-based items are often too greasy and high in bad cholesterol. If you are concerned about high cholesterol, then you must avoid all bacon-based burgers and salads. Also, skip the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Tenders to keep your cholesterol levels in check. You must also keep sausage-based items at bay when dining at McDonald's.
Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at MCDONALD'S
Part of me feels ridiculous reviewing a McDonald's: they all have the same "cuisine," and it's all pretty mediocre. So the only thing to go by is the character of the restaurant, and the various features that differentiate one restaurant from another. This one has a little more character, but that's not why it's so great. Since it's very close to the Opryland Hotel, it feels the need to give us a theme with enclosed exhibits. They're not country music, but more like Old Time Radio. They are pretty cool, but they'll only hold your attention for a minute or so. Another irony is the fact they sell crappy Nashville and Opry souvenirs: The usual crap, no point getting into it. But the great part comes in how they treat customers and the features. Knowledgeable fast food aficionados know that thousands of McDonald's restaurants installed wifi, and Nashville is no different. But this McDonald's has a large screen television, as well as smaller TVs throughout the restaurant, and I have found that they have the sense to put on important programming on at the right times. Combine these two, and you have an excellent experience at certain times. The upcoming winter olympics is a prime example. I went in at a down time, Sunday evening around five-thirty, and there was almost no traffic. It was probably because of this, that they didn't object when I extended my power cord across the walkway. It wasn't really a trip hazard, but they certainly could have made a scene about it. As it was, I could comfortably watch the programming and tweet and follow my message board with ease. There were some other people who brought in an extension cable and (I believe) a surge protector, and were involved in some heavy duty internet gaming. I appreciate that this McDonald's let their customers go a little crazy. I was geeking out and TVing, and the hardcore gamers were using a lot more bandwidth than I was. So I'll call my creating obstacles and their bandwidth-suck a draw. I admit, it would have been a jerk move on my part had there been a significant number of customers, but the place was pretty dead, and I am sure that's part of the reason, they let me hang for about an hour and a half (and who knows how long hardcore gamers were there: they even stopped for a smoke break). Now it would take a near-miracle for Mickey D's to rate five stars, since the food is pretty crappy, but a four-star quality experience just cannot be ignored. Thanks for making Super Sunday worth my while McDonald's.

This was a cool little McDonalds with the antenna on top and "WMAC" call letters. Inside there's a pretty nice sized dining area with some original radio equipment on display. One of the walls has a mural featuring some of the original Opry stars. I had a salad and sat near the TV; there was an old Doris Day - James Garner movie on.

The food was great.. Fries were perfectly fried and chicken didn't taste reheated. The service was below average. They didn't have their hours posted on any of the entrances and the employees weren't sure of exact hours of when they opened or closed

Review of late night drive thru. This was my worst experience at a McDonald's ever and that in itself is saying a lot. No courtesy shown at the speaker or the window. This should have got my "spider senses" tingling but I continued to place my order and drive away after paying and being handed the last bag. No straws, awe. No napkins, this sucks. No sauce for chicken nuggets, three strikes-they suck. Upon opening the Big Mac and lifting it from the box it was oozing mayo everywhere. Nope not special sauce, mayo. It was horrible and after the 2nd bite was thrown out. The fries weren't even warm. They were cold, limp, and greasy. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Stay away find someplace else.

Why did I go here? Oh I remember because I was late for work and felt desperate! I really regret it. I can occasionally enjoy McDonald's like when wondering the streets of Milan feeling a little homesick or when a once a year Mcstalgia hits and I want a nugget but this experience really let me down. Cons Super Dirty! Filthy! Spilled drinks on the floors, fingerprint smudges all over the glass, sticky stuff at the drink station, trash spilling out...ewwwww Not Fast Food. It took 25 minutes to get my meal = no joke. After waiting 25 minutes I got my burger with cold hard patty and a stale bun. Just stay away. Pros There is a strange plastic man in a box. Without question one of the worst Mcdonalds I have ever been to. The wait time is totally unacceptable but during that time I witnessed filth behind the counter, an employee try to figure out what an order was by unwrapping a sandwich and picking it up with her bare hands to examine what it was. While she was doing that her co"worker" stood by scratching her stomach under her shirt before immediately going back to handle orders. Totally mismanaged, disgusting and likely breaking health codes. You deserve to treat yourself better than eating here and potentially getting sick. Just went back to the hotel and ordered a pizza. If you have a decent amount of money, open a 24 hour fast food place near by, provide good service and you'll rake in the dough as this place stinks and is the only offering for late night food in that area. What a shame.

Don't bother walking through the door, this is the worst run McDonald's I've seen in a LONG time. I made the mistake of walking through the door here on 12.21.12 about 10:15 AM intent on sharing a big breakfast with my son and grabbing a coffee. I quickly learned that this store could care less about customers standing in front of them as they were 99% focused on pushing through all those drive through customers (you know, the customers that actually matter because they are on a TIMER). Long story short, I stood there, with about 10 other "customers" for 20+ minutes, waiting to order. During this 20 minutes, they took four (yes FOUR) TOTAL orders at the front counter while they pushed about 20+ cars through the drive-through. Customers actually standing there, waiting patiently, meant NOTHING as we didn't have a digital clock hanging over our heads saying how long we had been waiting. After waiting to PLACE an order for 20 minutes, the "white shirt" manager who took my order (now at 10:35 mind you) has the gall to tell me they are no longer serving breakfast as it was after 10:30. When I reminded her that I had been WAITING to order for 20 minutes, she said "sorry, we don't have breakfast anymore". I was frustrated and I told her that was too bad, I had already promised my son pancakes, and it wasn't our fault they made us stand there for 20+ minutes. She yelled at me, went back and yelled at employees, and then "magically" they had breakfast food again. So, I get my food and then get the pleasure of listening to what I believe was an off duty employee tell me to F&$# off. You see, she had just walked in and felt that she should jump into the disagreement by telling the "manager" that she would have "lost it by now" if someone griped at her like I did. To which, I responded, "you wouldn't say that if you had been standing here being ignored for 20 minutes" and she promptly told me to F&$# off. So, that was another pleasant part of this experience. Normally, I wouldn't include such a thing in a review but this person went and sat to eat with other (on duty) employees, hence my comment that I believe she was an off-duty employee telling me to F&$# off. In any case, I think the drama is over and go eat. After eating, I head to the restroom with my son, where we are promptly 'trapped'. You see, this location has a typical restaurant style door where you push to enter the restroom and pull a handle to leave - except this door hand no handle! You see, it was broken off - nowhere to be found, so the only way to 'escape' from the restroom was to jam my fingers under the door by the floor and pull it open. And no, I'm not kidding. You may ask, how does this happen? I wondered the same thing... So, all in all, a terrible McDonalds - slow service, a rude 'manager', a broken bathroom door, and they were out of ketchup to boot! Although, from the looks of things, they do a stellar job servicing the drive through so as long as you don't actually go INSIDE this place, you may have a lovely experience.

Damn, we really shut the city down that night...After a long night downtown, we returned to the Opryland area...Our hotel is here, is anything open?, Searching the Gaylord Opryland Resort, we were greeted at the lobby by a Mexican guy with a 12-pack of beer. He was pretty generous, sharing his beer, however everything was closed...this didn't keep us out of the bar though (what a night, huh?). Eventually, we realized the party was over, but I wanted to grab a bite to eat, so I said goodbye to my friends, jumped in a cab and had the driver take me to nearby McDonald's... My Somalian driver, Mos asked me to lean over and order. As I stared up at the menu and ordered my Big Mac combo (as pictured on the menu board), I was told that there was no way I could enjoy a burger today...not just because they are unenjoyable, but because the time is now 4:55 AM and they're switching over to breakfast...Damn you, I don't want your eggs!! I had a hashbrown and a large Coke, and ordered a large Sprite for my cab driver (the nearby drive-thru liquor store was not open yet)... While some people race to get to McDonald's before 10:30 so they can have breakfast, I now know I need to show up far before 5 AM to avoid it...

By far the slowest fast food restaurant experience I have ever had. I couldn't even get mad about it - I truly felt sorry for the employees. The manager was lost and just stood with his back to the customers, looking haplessly at the order screen. I wanted to jump behind the counter and give directions, as nobody seemed to know what what was going on.
Fast service at the drive thru, good breakfast, three meals under $10 (without drinks).

This McDonald's is extremely lucky. Lucky that there are no other options for fast food within probably five miles, at least. It is not unusual, actually, rather standard, to have a fifteen minute wait, which makes the proximity null and void, since in that time, I could drive to the next closest McDonald's and already be back. They also seem to go out of their way to hire the most unfriendly staff. Usually they just look in your general direction and expect you to know what to do. Don't even say a word to you. Last night, I stopped "quick" on my way home and got a snack wrap. My friend tried to order the bacon and cheese burger, which they confirmed was not the Habanero Ranch burger, but he got the Habanero Ranch burger anyway. My snack wrap was the real problem though. The grilled chicken was going to take 9 minutes, so I said a crispy chicken tender would be fine, thinking it would be faster as they said. Though we waiting 15 minutes after paying, with several other people already waiting ahead of us. Even after the fifteen minutes, I still got the crispy chicken, even though supposedly my requested grilled should have been ready by that point. On top of that, since the wrap wasn't ready. The fries and burger just sat in the bag and were cold by the time we got them, and the boy who delivered our food to us outside, didn't look at us, or say a word to us, just literally tossed the bag at us through the window. The management could care less, and corporate gives you the response that they know this a terrible McDonald's but it always has been. I guess this is why they have never renovated and the inside still boasts an incredibly creepy array of manquins trying to work a fake radio station. I meant for this to be short, but I could go on and on about what a terrible business this is. Last night was my last time, and I hope I can encourage some others to avoid this place so hopefully we can get a fast food restaurant in the area that wants our service.
