Service was so fast! Equally good, the prices are very, very affordable. For two regular rolls and a small salad, it was under $9. The rolls are good for "new sushi eaters" as they are typical American options: containing cream cheese, fried crab, etc. For that type of sushi though, it is good. My niece and I thought it was worth the stop. Plus, it's located in The Arcade which is such an awesome little place. It's like (if you're from NoVA/DC) the Torpedo Factory, but mixed with Prague-allies charm. The two folks at the counter were super sweet people too.

I've heard the sushi is good, but I can't go there with my wife for lunch because she was kicked out for asking for a sauce to go with her meal and will never return. Even if you serve food fit for kings, it's no good if you treat customers like serfs.

My experience wasn't the best, and partly it is because it's my fault, and partly because it's their fault. I went in just to get a Philadelphia roll, and they asked if I wanted to do the special (two rolls and a salad for like $7) and I declined, but they thought I said yes (even after I said no twice), so I left with way too much food that I didn't even end up eating. There wasn't anything special about it, but the setting was cute. Not too busy at 11. Probably won't go back, since there's so many other sushi places nearby to try out. Sorry.

Okay, let's just say I just got 2 great rolls and a miso soup for 7 bucks. Good cheap sushi. Go for the crunch shrimp or crab.

Dropped in. Ordered Crunchy And California Roll. Fresh. Perfect for lunch. Price was fair. Asked to sample their kimchee and that was just as good. Flavorful with some heat. Owners and I spoke of South Korea and where they lived as I was stationed there in military. Good people. They offer a few pieces of sushi at lunch while you wait. Best way to introduce new tastes. Very pleased with this hole in the wall. Space was cramped and standing room only at times. But it is a quick in and out kind of place that focuses on its food not the ambiance. I don't say that to be contrite, it is the Arcade but damn good sushi.

The lunch options downtown are great and this hole in the wall can hold its own with the rest. The Korean options are FANTASTIC and I'll not try to name them for lack of spelling skills. They always have sushi samples too! Try the lunch roll specials or the Bibinbob (told you I can't spell). It's delicious and filling! Moreover, the owners are too sweet and the food is ready within minutes! Don't forget a punch card! You won't regret giving this a try for lunch downtown! It really doesn't get much better than the Arcade... Let's be real.

Hole in the wall. Great sushi. Great price! Super sweet couple. Don't be turned off by the appearance. Yum yum! Some of the best sushi we've had at a very reasonable price.

My favorite sushi roll in Nashville lives here. Called the "All-in". Kind of a combo of fried outer layer with spicy crab and several sauces. This is great even for non sushi eaters. You have to try it. Nice couple running the place that remembers your order!

Very good sushi for the price. Great lunch option downtown. The couple running the place is always very friendly. I love the Korean TV they have to watch as you wait. $7.50 and a five-minute wait here gets you one of the most satisfying lunches in the business district!

Unassuming little place in the Arcade. The owners were so friendly. They gave free sample of their rolls. Ordered pork bulgogi lunch special. It came with rice, dumpling and some lettuce to make wrap. They were really good and the price was reasonable. Oh, the also had self serve hot tea, really good tea too. One sweet thing that we saw was when the owner offered a sushi roll to lady worker who was sweeping the floor. We thought it was very nice of them.

Very small menu but everything I've had has been great. My only wish is that they offered more Korean options but considering they cater to a busy lunch crowd, I understand why they do not. If you want a few good rolls and miso and you are in the Arcade, this is your place! They are very friendly and quick!

I have previously confessed in other sushi reviews to fear eating "fresh" fish in a landlocked state. And I am a huge fan of hole in the wall joints as they usually offer some of the best food around. They have to, to get people in the door of such a crappy looking place. My first experience to the Arcade, the lovely tunnel of awesome culinary delights in downtown Nashville, was my introduction to Jimbo's. Digest for a second that this place is called Jimbo's Sushi and tell me you'd be jazzed to eat there based on the name. I had visions of someone in camo fishing guppies out of a fishbowl and putting them over rice. This, however, was not the case, and to my surprise, this may be the best sushi I've had in Nashville. First off, this is the small restaurant ever. Be prepared to get your food to go. And to wait to go, because come lunchtime, the only time this place is open, the line is out the door and the wait could be an hour. If you wait, and you're lucky like I was, you may get to sample some of their veggie dumplings. The sushi tasted fresh (again, landlocked, so here's to hoping!) and despite the crazy busy-ness of the place the service was given with a smile. Sitting out in the Arcade while enjoying lunch is an experience of its own. Also, the prices here, and every other place in the Arcade, make this a great lunch stop. I highly recommend it for the food and the experience.

The most adorable Japanese couple own this tiny little shop located in the Arcade off 4th downtown. As a Pacific Northwesterner, I am always looking for my next sushi fix. I recently stopped in on my lunch break, looking for a quick bite. I was a bit skeptical at first (sushi is very temperamental and can make you very sick if not prepared right), but was greeted warmly and offered a sample of the "all-in-all" roll. After one bite I didn't even need to see a menu, I ordered a full roll (to go) of the all-in-all immediately. This is probably more of a to-go kind of shop as it probably only holds like 7 people at a time. It was packed for lunch, though, which I thought was a good sign. Their lunch specials were fairly inexpensive- 2 rolls and soup or salad for 7 or 8 dollars. They also have hot dishes like bagogi. After chatting with the male owner for a few minutes while he prepared my roll, my roll was ready and I was on my way! LOVE this place!

I cannot believe this place doesn't have more five star reviews. Sushi is so cheap and delicious! Two rolls and a miso soup or ginger salad for only $7. The rolls are small, but you get eight of each, so it's always enough food to fill me up. Pretty good selection, too. The Philly roll and the eel roll are my favorites. The wait is never too long, despite only having one chef and cashier, who are both very friendly and remember me every time. I just wish they were open more than three hours a day, five days a week. If you happen to be in the Arcade during business lunch hours, definitely stop by here.

Because of new job relocation in the downtown area I am about to try a bunch of new places that I have never eaten at before... and I must say I am completely stoked. The first place I have felt the need to write about is Jimbo's Sushi (apparently it used to be Jimbo's hotdogs?). I ate there today & ordered a spicy tuna, crunchy shrimp, California roll and a ginger salad. My total bill was under $10. UNDER $10!?!?!?! Yes, you can order their 3-roll special (choosing 3 rolls from about 10 standard rolls) for $9.95 or a 2-roll special from the same list of rolls for $5.95. Oh, and each option comes with choice of miso soup or salad. Additionally, the sushi met my expectations. Granted I ordered pretty boilerplate sushi options, everything tasted fresh and tasted great. This place would be so easy to dismiss as some small "wonky" sushi restaurant by its looks, but try to look past that. I actually that ambiance (shitty little tables in a tiny tiny dining area, little artwork, etc. w/ the sushi chef also taking your money) was great. Bottom line: No, this not the best sushi in Nashville... but they have an insane lunch special, the sushi meets expectations, and arcade is just all around an awesome experience.

Ok with all due respect to the other two reviews, I have been all over the U.S. with my job and have eaten sushi in at least 20 states. The best so far btw was in Salt Lake closely followed by San Fran. but i digress. Back to Jimbos,,,Small place, 10 seats, no problem i got there b4 the lunch rush. Cheap, yes very when youre talking two rolls and soup with soda total, $8. However, the miso soup was completely liquid, noting in it, it was the cosistancy of tea and didnt taste much more than that. (Google miso soup real quick and youll see numerous pics of what real miso should look like). The rolls were very small, the pieces were about the diameter of a quarter. yea for bite size but not very filling. Meat was one small sliver down the middle of the roll. Packaged in a small carry out with wasabi and sweet ginger it reminded me that in my travels when i cant find a good sushi shop i can usually find this kind of fare in a grocery store. (Walgreens just off of centinnial park in chicago even had better rolls and it was 20pcs with two shrimp nigiri for 10 bucks! Even tho prepackaged it was better than this). So im sorry but I cannot give Jimbo more than the rating i did, I knew I should have tried to get thrown out by the sushi nazi Sam,,,,,maybe i will try and act like a local tomorrow.

Come to find out they're actually Korean (not Japanese as I read in the reviews). I ordered the lunch special spicy pork plate that came with lettuce, ssam jang, and mandu. Always love how korean restaurants also offer free bori cha (barley tea). Authentic! The kimchi is homemade and delish (created by owner's mother). Love the location downtown where there are a lot of other food options like a food court (cheap too).
