This place is right near where I live and I've driven by it many times without stopping in. And just like Angelo's Pizza a few doors down, it came highly recommended online and I was looking for places in Nashville that did Mardi Gras King Cakes and they were on the short list. I stopped in and while I didn't get a King Cake (too big for my office) I got some employee recommended cookies which were awesome, still warm and fresh from the oven. My favorite was this chocolate cookie which was like a chewy edge of a corner brownie, but the whole thing (you know what I'm talking about). I also picked a couple of their gift wrapped Petite Fours to go with the Valentine's Day dinner I was making my wife. These little glazed individual cake slices (one chocolate and one strawberry) were quite honestly THE BEST most MOIST (sorry I know the Internet hates that word) pieces of cake both of us have ever had. Especially the strawberry. Next time I will try the carrot cake because that is traditionally my favorite cake. I will be back and can't wait to try more stuff and use them for special occasion cakes. Can't lose. 50+/years in business in what is honestly not considered a prime Nashville location means they're definitely doing something right.

Yesterday was my sister-in-law's birthday. We didn't expect her to come to town because of her busy schedule (she's in dental school) but she told us that she could make it and we began our hunt for a cake! When we called Home Style Bakery, we explained what we needed and they were SO great at working with us as such last minute. They designed the most adorable cake (teeth included) and she loved it so much that SHE CRIED. It was absolutely perfect. We cut the cake a few hours after we picked it up and it was soooo good. We ordered a chocolate cake and it was so moist and delicious. Seriously, we were so impressed. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Home Style Bakery. The staff was great, they worked quickly to hook us up with an adorable cake, and it was so yummy. Thank you for making her birthday extra special! We will most DEFINITELY be coming back!!!

My son and I went in today to pick a cake for my husbands birthday and couldn't find exactly what he wanted so we bought a cookie and a chocolate macaroon to eat on our way home. My macaroon was AMAZING! So instead of going somewhere else we returned and bought 4 small cakes so we could taste test as a family. We also bought a strawberry glazed cake thing. Everything we had was incredible! Not overly sweet but still delicious I will be back....frequently I'm afraid!

Great Family-Owned Bakery! Homestyle Bakery really came through for me. I planned a 50th birthday party for my husband who is from Nashville, but we do not live locally, so all communicating about what I was looking for was done online and by phone. Sarah was awesome and took my ideas and did a pretty good job of bringing those ideas to light. The cake was delicious (white vanilla cake with butter cream icing) and everyone at the party commented on how good the cake tasted. The customer service is outstanding. A young man working there even carried the cake to the car in the snow and wet rain. I love this place and can't thank them enough for the great work!

I love this bakery, and will make the drive out to Antioch to get some baked treats here! The most important thing you need to know is their white cake is the best cake I've ever had. And I don't even like white cake. I ordered a wedding cake for my mom here, and she still talks about how good it was to this day. They have a variety of cakes on display for purchase if you are last minute, or can order by calling or stopping in advance. They are quick, and friendly, and you can't go wrong with anything here though. The party/butter cookies are freaking delicious and so cheap. They literally melt in your mouth and are some of the best things on this planet. Delicious bakery that is my go to for any occasion!

I have always been one of those people who thinks that grocery store bought cakes are tasty. They are good and they are inexpensive so why go to a custom bakery? HomStyle Bakery is why! If you haven't had their cake, it is unbelievable. I have been using them for all special occasion cakes for 3 years now, and literally every time someone at the event asks where the cake came from because it is so good. The designs are always wonderful, and they are just amazing; worth every penny. Even if you don't have a special occasion or need a cake, stop by and try a petit four (sp?) The strawberry ones are mind blowing good.

Everything they make is absolutely delicious. My mom, a friend and I go Christmas shopping in Nashville every year and this is our first stop. This Bakery is nowhere near where we shop or stay but it's worth the drive. I can't wait to go back!

I was in Homestyle Bakery this past month for my treats and recognized a small voice that said "how many cookies can I get you Mr. Duncan" and it was friend of my daughters from Ezell Harding School. I said give me two dozen butter cookies Miss Randi. How refreshing to see a business that has the community so involved that they take the time to hire young potential leaders directly from our local schools, I can't wait to talk with little Miss Randi about the life lessons she will learn in her new position. The cookies are wonderful but the feeling of knowing this business, small they be are having a large impact on people. Keep on doing what you do best Homestyle , keep people smiling . I had my first cake from Homestyle almost 5 years ago. Their customer service is great. They have made simple cupcakes and elaborate 3d designs for me. Not only do the cakes look great, they taste great. Everything they have in the case is yummy too. I always pick a treat out when I'm ordering a cake. I have gotten all of my cakes from Homestyle and will continue to do so as long as I live in TN.

Sometimes I think about what it must have been like to live in a bygone era where people worked hard at being great at one thing: carpenter made furniture, a blacksmith worked metal, the baker baked bread, and the farmer worked the land. Today, we buy our bread at the same place we can purchase deodorant and birth control. At homestyle bakery, I can assure you of one things: they are great at making cakes. HomeStyle Bakery does one thing...they bake and they do well. They have a couple of large glass cases with a variety of baked goods. The cookies, doughnuts, and cupcakes have a fresh taste that doesn't have a "boxed" taste. My favorite thing about this place is that you "eat cake" without having to buy a big ole cake. Imagine the finest wedding cake ever, by the slice at a reasonable price! The cream frosting is perfect because it is not overly sweet. The cake is tender, moist, and tastes incredible. This place models what it must have been like when people did one thing and wanted to do it with perfection...this place is the perfect cake place. It is worth the drive from anywhere in town. For those old Nashvillians that miss the "real" Beckers would find that this place is a great substitute.

I love love love this place and love love love their cookies. Quite often I will stop in on my lunch hour and have cookies for lunch. I wish that they would make me part of the family because owning a bakery like this would be a dream come true. Have I mentioned that the cookies are awesome. Variety! So much variety!

I ordered my wedding cakes ( I had 6-10 inch rounds in different colors and flavors) from HomeStyle Bakery. I was blown away by the detail they put on what I thought would just be simple round cakes. They went above and beyond expectation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I absolutely love love love Home Style Bakery. Since I was pregnant with my now 4 year old we have gotten every cake for every occasion from them. Occasionally we will stop in to get cookies and other pastries. Great variety, great prices, and great customer service. One try and you will be hooked!

I love homestyle bakery! And lucky for me its right down the road. Don't be jealous, that isnt cute. lol I ordered my graduation cake from there after tasting a cake my friend bought for her daughter's birthday. Everyone loved it. Usually there is a lot of cake left after a party, but not if its from homestyle. Service can be hit or miss, which is the reason for 4 stars. When I order over the phone they are really nice, but when I go into the store, I dont get a "welcome" feeling. I don't like that. If I'm not ordering customized cakes, I always get a mini caramel or german chocolate fudge pie, a hermit cookie, and the chewy fudge cookie. Those are my favs. Anyway, give them a try for custom cakes or to satisfy that sweet tooth with grab and go treats.

I love this place!!! They made my son's 4th Birthday Party Cake and it was phenomenal. Phone service and in store experience always we Lego cake was the centerpiece of my décor for his party!

Their product can be delicious but the customer service was absolutely terrible for my daughter's wedding cake. Staff, including the owner, were unprofessional on all important levels. I cannot recommend them for any event.

Homestyle Bakery is a small bakery on Murfreesboro Road that is family owned. They make amazing custom order cakes perfect for birthday parties, graduations, or any occasion you can think of, just make sure to pre-order as I have dropped in before and it is difficult to get anything on the spot. They also have specially designed cupcakes and cookies that taste as good as they look available all the time. My grandparents come to visit and no matter what we have planned they make us stop by Homestyle bakery for a few of their mini fudge pies and their freshly made doughnuts (Best in Nashville). They are open 7:30 to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays though so stock up the day before!

This place is AMAZING! They are, by far, the best bakery in Nashville and they're having served the area for over 30 years is a testament to that. The staff are super friendly and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are left with nothing but a smile and a satisfied sweet tooth. You should definitely try them out. Home Style Bakery. I *wish* the baking that occurred in my home was anywhere near this good. This place alone could survive simply on the merits of their petit fours, not to mention the pies. And cookies. And cakes. And pastaries. And elcairs. And muffins. Should I go on? Suffice it to say that the baked goods here are beyond description. Truly, this bakery can only be appreciated through the senses. The smell of the fresh-baked goods. The sight of the colored cookies and delightful cakes. And the taste. Oh, the taste. The creations are so fantastic. Now only if they could find a way to take the calories out.

I'm pretty sure I'd be willing to kick my own butt for waiting this freaking long to try Home Style out. It's amazing! It's so bad for you, you can taste it in their perfect frosting and their perfect cupcakes, and their macaroons that are, you guessed it, perfect. Their prices are super fair. I saw several decorated cakes ready for purchase and all under thirty dollars. Some people are so afraid of trying stuff out in the Antioch area, but I can't tell you how much you're missing out if you're avoiding this place. It's a little gem in this part of town, and I think the locals may have it figured out even if other parts of the metro area haven't. The lady working the day we visited couldn't have been any sweeter if we asked her to be. She was nice to all of us that entered and chatted with us about the sleet snow mixture wrecking nasty havoc outside. Everything was pleasant. We will so be back!
