Super fresh healthy and delicious salads that cost $3. Unbelievable. Great for breakfast, better for lunch, best for dessert. I love this place. Wish there was bicycle parking!

Great place! There were so many delicious choices we couldn't decide. Ultimately the lemon Madeleine's were amazing and the blueberry muffin was one of the best I've ever had. The snicker doodle cookie was good too. They don't have a great coffee selection. Very basic and rather expensive... $3 for a plain, rather small glass of iced coffee. I'd go back and definitely recommend it. It's a beautiful, clean place that's very relaxing.

I don't know how many days I've craved a chocolate silk pie and have not gotten to satisfy my craving because I couldn't find a good one. My hips and thighs were probably thankful for that! Well, see you thighs and hips because I found a chocolate silk pie that I can't put down!! Last week my husband and I celebrated 8 years of marriage so we went out to eat but then just wanted to go home and eat dessert then take a nice long walk with our dog. We stopped by Dozen Bakery to see what they had, just hoping for a nice cookie or brownie to share. Then I saw it, a chocolate silk pie. I read the reviews for the lavender lemon pie, saying it was incredible, but the chocolate silk kept calling my name. I chose it. My husband asked if I wanted to share it. We almost celebrated our 8 years of marriage and our divorce in the same day. No I don't want to share pie!!! Who does that?! So he got his own and we are still happily married. We went home and sat outside with our dog and I thought I could just take a couple bites of pie so that I could savor it for a few days. Nope. I'm naive to think that I have any will power over pie, especially when it's this good. I downed the whole thing and then looked over to see if my husband still had any that I could steal. His was gone as well. Smart thinking on his part. We will be back and I will try that lavender lemon pie at some point, but only if they are out of chocolate silk pie!

The bread is perfect, the pastries are delightful, but one thing you might not have thought of is how great LUNCH is here. The sandwiches are incredible and the sides are creative and consistently delicious. The space has tons of natural light, beautiful marble surfaces, and you can see right into the kitchen via massive glass panes. You could hang here all day. Pretty simple review, really: 5 stars all around.

Baguettes so good, who needs to go to France? Try the $3 salads. All are fantastic and fresh.

I can't believe I haven't raved about Claire's cookies before now! I mean holy smokes - these things will send you into a bliss coma. Be prepared to have the most amazing cookie experience when you get a cookie from Dozen. When we started getting cookies from Dozen, I quit making cookies at home. They just weren't anywhere near as awesome (and I'm a baker on the side!) And to top it all off - it's local and organic ingredients. I mean - who doesn't want to support your local peeps?! Personal faves: - Raspberry Lizner Cookie - OMG, this thing sends me into a tizzy. Not too sweet, not too crunchy - literally, the most perfect cookie around! - Chocolate Chip - holy shit - this isn't your mom's chocolate chip cookie. Perfection! Pecan Shortbread - such a little piece of heavan! This cookie literally melts in your mouth. Freakin' amazing! Ginger Cookie - while not my personal fave, my husband LOVES it. In fact, we gave away a Raspberry Linzer and a Ginger cookie away as gifts to everyone at our wedding reception. Claire also makes other amazing things - gingerbread cake, pecan squares, madelines, pies, etc. So don't just run, head over to Dozen at light speed and get yourself into a sweet, bliss coma!

The good: made with mostly organic ingredients. Ginger cookies are wonderful. The bad: the oatmeal cranberry cookie were a bit unflavorful. I will, however, try again as this small local business offered a pleasant variety of sweet selections.

Dang. I should have read these reviews before I tried Dozen so I would have bought more stuff while I was there today. I got Chocolate chip cookie, Chocolate cardamom madeleines, and black and tan (a brownie-ish treat with Chocolate in it). Dang, they were all yummy to my tummy.

There are so many bakeries around town that never make the grade with us. My husband typically being the toughest critic of bakery goods in our household. And even he has proclaimed the baked goods from Dozen to be excellent. From the pecan squares to the chocolate chip cookies, he loves them all. My hands down favorite are the ginger cookies. They pack a punch from lots of candied ginger but they are pure chewy goodness. Her madelines are also great as are the blackberry bars. She uses local products and high quality products instead of so many processed ingredients with unnecessary additives and preservatives. You can find her at the Nashville Farmers Market and the Franklin Farmers Market

I had such a great experience working with Claire of Dozen. My parents wanted to send my boyfriend some bakery goods for his birthday, so I contacted Dozen to make it happen. We ended up with an assortment of cookies (perfectly moist, flavorful, and soft) and the most delicious blackberry tarts. She was really great to work with-we conducted all of the plotting via email and she even delivered them to me at work the day that I needed them because she was going to be in the area! I definitely recommend her baked treats and am waiting for an occasion to work with her again!

I am quite honored to give a four star review to a fabulous chocolate chip cookie purchased at a booth in the Nashville Farmers Market - baked by the one and only: Dozen. Some say the feelings we have or - put into - (if you will) food while we prepare it, or in the case of produce - while we grow it, is passed onto the people who consume that food. With that said, considering that the chocolate chip cookie I got from Dozen was outside of my usual preferences in it's characteristics, I can only guess some serious joy was around at the time of this cookie's conception because that was how it made me feel. For just a moment this cookie stopped the world, the flavors entered my mouth like a small party of friends each with their own character but clearly a tight bunch and they were good company at this 'soireé de chocolate'. It's worth noting I was given a smaller but still decent sized cookie as a sampler before even purchasing the chocolate chip cookie - reason enough to go visit the booth and fear not it's no bait and switch the sample is just as good as the product you take home. This was also possibly enough to just push this cookie review up to the five stars Dozen deserves, but I have to remain true to the search for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, and I have no doubts that cookie could come from Dozen. As I said before this cookie wasn't exactly how I personally like them, which is a bit softer, a tad more butter, and I prefer no nuts - this batch came with pecans. But again it was totally enjoyable. One last but hardly the least important note, dozen's ingredients are local and organic. In a time where people think they've done their part by buying organic, a huge fight for a healthy and sustainable planet remains and this is the fight to teach people and businesses to use local ingredients (like within 150 miles or less... local). Dozen goes the extra mile here, this element may have helped the "joyful" euphoria I experienced from all natural and fresh ingredients from friendly farmers, however I have no doubt this cookie came with a healthy dose of joy in it's package. Buy one of these cookies straight from the hands of the maker while you can, I have no doubt it will be a well known name in little time. Thank you Dozen!

stopped by Dozen's stand at the Farmers' Market (inside) and walked away with way more cookies than I needed. the guy working the stand was super friendly (1 star) and offered samples of all the cookies he had available for sale. the oatmeal cranberry and chocolate chip were on point (1 star)...loved the salty hit the chocolate chip had and the pecan bar looked crazy good...gooey and full of pecans....guess it was voted best sweet by some local weekly/website. loved the fact that they keep it as local and organic as possible with their ingredients (1 star). 1/2 dozen cookies were approx $6-6.50 and the pecan bar was $2 (1 star). kinda worried i ran into these guys right as spring arrives....need to drop some lbs and these will def. get in the way. snap....

Great place to grab lunch. Went here with friends midweek and place just has great vibe. Sandwiches were great -- fresh ingredients really makes the difference. Finished with a lemon lavender pie that was off the hook!!! Hattie B's may be quickly moving to my 2nd favorite in Nashville.

What an amazing gem!! It's "off the beaten path" and well worth actually beating a path to this place! I visited on 4/18 with a friend of mine. I had a bacon and cheese scone and a blueberry muffin. Both were absolutely deeelish!! My friend had the ham and cheese croissant, one of the scones, and an apple and rhubarb pie (I believe apple was the fruit. Accept my apology if I am wrong). He loved all of them. I tried the pie and it was excellent. We also took some goodies to go. We ordered several cookies, a loaf of French sourdough bread, and a loaf of the oatmeal bread. All were fabulous. I will be visiting this fine bakery again and again!!

After hearing that I HAD to try the baguettes from one too many people I decided to make the trek to Wedgewood-Houston to see what the hype was all about. I bought a baguette to accompany dinner and three cookies to share with my family. Let me tell you...the baguettes might be the best bread I've ever tasted. Will definitely be back.

I work right around the corner and am delighted to find such a delicious spot to grab lunch. I had the smoked trout sandwich and a chocolate chip and almond cookie. I thoroughly enjoyed every last bite. The atmosphere is sleek European.

Great food, fresh and colorful. Had oatmeal bread toast with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, pesto, tomatoes and avocado....YUM!!

These salads are amazing! I find it sad that salad has come to mean some droopy lettuce in a weirdly creamy dressing. These are what salads should be: concoctions of quinoa with almonds and tarragon, barley with green olives and lemon, winter squash with toasted breadcrumbs and rosemary. The tartine I had was bresaola and arugula drizzled with chili oil, a perfect complement that left my lips burning. The baguette is average, not anywhere near as good as Bella's, but heads and shoulders above Provence's pathetic attempts. It didn't have the quick-cook bumps on the bottom, but it also didn't taste like it used a starter like Bella's, so the flavor was lacking. The madeleines we took home for tea time were coated in sugar syrup, which is not okay. Proust would be upset. Dozen provides Ugly Mugs with goodies, so I've tried their scones and pecan bars there: delicious. Mostly, though, I'd say go for the lunch and stick with Bella for the bread.

Kind staff served me a late lunch (after 3pm). Killer BLT, salad, Lemon Madeleine! Hidden gem, worth seeking out!

Excited to have this place in my neighborhood. Best baked goods in Nashville. They also have Crema coffee, lunch sandwiches and salads, and my goodness are they crafty and delicious. Just opened. I'll update with more info as I visit more often, but just wanted to get a quick review in. Visit this place!

The best place to get baguettes in Nashville. The sandwiches are delicious and the baked goods are perfection. Love this restaurant and bakery.
(5)Sid N.
I can't say enough about this place. It is simply wonderful. The madeleines, lemon squares, lemon lavender pie, and cookies are amazing. The ultimate dessert though is the pecan squares. Each bite is pure bliss - honey and brown sugar heaven. They also have salads and sandwiches at lunch which are fantastic too but the desserts are the main attraction. The space is modern, well-lot and airy, which makes dining in a real pleasure.

The 1/2 & 1/2 combo trout sandwich on artisan baguette and quinoa almond salad is very creative and tasty! Seek out this off the beaten path lunch/ bakery.
(5)Nina X.
Delicious pastries and bread, beautiful building and atmosphere. I would give Dozen 5 stars but the girl who worked there tonight wasn't very friendly or personable.
(4)Amanda B.
Holy cow. Their croissants are dream-worthy. And the scones are awesome. A little pricey but you just won't get pastries like this at the grocery store. Well worth it, in my opinion.
(5)Brien W.
Best bread ( baguette) in Nashville, crusty on the outside, light and airy inside with great taste. I has a sandwich there last week, the salami with cornichons and truffle mustard, holy sh@t, amazing, almost crashed the car. I love a sandwich that has just enough of each ingredient to add to the whole, not a large portion but spot on for flavor / texture / love it!
(5)Victoria V.
Congrats and thanks!!! Best baguettes in Nashville!! I have had a hard time finding good bread in Nash. Your baguettes and Bella Nashville bakery loafs totally fulfill the expectations.... Thanks!!! (Croissants were a bit too buttery for my taste... But texture wise were great)
(5)Chris B.
There are two true bakeries in Nashville, and by true bakeries I mean comparable to Tartine in san fran or Little T in portland Oregon, and this is one of the two true bakeries in Nashville. For now they only make baguettes and pastries, however they make more rustic loafs and complicated breads for restaurants in tour and I have had these as well.

I love to support local businesses and I think the employees here are lovely, however I didn't find anything at Dozen to rave about. The baked goods are made from natural ingredients which I love but as another user pointed out, I found the cookies (chocolate chip) and various muffins to be lacking in flavor.

The buzz is around the cookies, but my wife and I had the pleasure of getting our wedding cake made by Dozen.. and was it ever worth it! Our 200 guests enjoyed the most scrumptious, chocolaty, moistest, tastiest wedding cake I have had. Not to mention the melt-in-your-mouth truffles that surrounded the whole thing. Working with them was easy and the whole process went very smooth. Highly recommend for any desert catering.
