Good happy hour menu w lots of options. Very attentive bartenders at the bar, cool atmosphere especial for a map restaurant. Much better than expected. I'd definitely go back, especially for the happy hour!

I ate here this past Saturday and Hannah was my waitress. She was BEYOND exceptional!! I ordered the fish tacos with the three cheese potato cakes as the side(She recommended them) and boy oh boy....AWESOME. She was quick to make sure the customer was satisfied. There was male customer sitting not far from me and he was being totally annoying by clanging his silverwear together and this went on for like 6 minutes. I asked Hannah if I could move to another section and she wasted no time seatingme elswhere and made sure I was comfortable. I gave compliments to the manager and she was gracious as well. I will return to dine here! Nice place, super clean, great staff!

Had the steak flat bread with gets instead of blue cheese crumbles. Just delicious. My husband had the tri-tip steak. Cooked perfect. Sweet potato awesome. Overall. Great meal. Would recommend this place if you're at opry mills mall. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed it!

I have mixed feelings on this place. On one hand my meal tasted amazing. The vegetables tasted yummy. The chicken with the apple glaze was yummy. The potatoes were also good. My food did come out like warm. The waitress blamed the kitchen and we heard other tables complaining around us. She did try to remake our meals but I insisted she just microwave it. It heated it to the perfect temp and I was good to go until my wife looked up calorie counts. They are known as one of the worst restaurants for calories. I should have known veggies never taste that great. Just don't go her on a diet and you'll be all set. I'm not sure if we'd ever go back but if we were really hungry and wanted a fresh/homemade tasting meal this would be a great option Also the bread with the tomato sauce they serve you was great.

Our server recommended the chicken pot pie, and she was so right on. It was absolutely delicious, from the flaky crust to the large chunks of chicken and vegetables to the well-seasoned creamy sauce. So very good. I actually could not finish it all - and I'm a hearty eater. Others at my table were equally pleased with their dinner choices, making our meal at this restaurant a most pleasurable experience.

We had tickets to the Opry, and we were a little nervous about the time, which may have made the service seem slower than it actually was. But it did feel slow. The food was very good, and the servings were huge. I had the Hill Country Salad which included fried chicken, and I really liked it a lot. I keep thinking that I need to go back someday, skip dinner, and jump right to dessert.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful the restaurant is very really beautiful. Food is always good and fresh.

So we've been to quite a few claim jumpers and we had a really bad experience at this location the last time we went. But I'm really glad we tried this location again because this experience was much better. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. I ordered the tritip and my fiancé ordered creole salmon. I prefer my tritip medium well but the menu said it only came medium rare or medium so I got medium and it was excellent. I would order it again the exact same way. My fiancé also really enjoyed his salmon and he is pretty picky... I took off a star because the sweet tea tasted like unsweetened tea. We told our waiter and he was awesome and brought us a new carafe but it still tasted bleh. They need to make better sweet tea. Also I had a birthday reward on my Landry's card and all the other times I've ever had that, they always gave me a red velvet cupcake and they didn't this time =( oh well... Maybe next time... We did order a carrot cake to go and it was delicious as usual. We will definitely be back and probably sooner rather than later.

The one, and only good thing about my experience here was that the burger was truly delicious. It was not, however, delicious enough to ever return to Claim Jumper Nashville. (this is why they get two stars - gotta credit the food) We walked in and immediately they tried to seat us (in a mostly empty restaurant, I must note) at a table so close to another occupied table that the chairs were touching! I asked to be put in a booth instead, and they obliged. Our server then came over, and while this may sound like a positive thing, every time you asked a question, she paused, got this HUGE grin, then said "Yes!" (no joke I could have said "is your tea weak?" grin..."YES!" "Are the ribs good?" grin...pause...wait for it..."YES!") We received our drinks pretty quickly. I then asked for a child's cup with a straw. "YES!" However, she walked by us at least twice to talk to her other tables, no child's cup. I asked again, "YES!". It arrived, then the salad (tasted fine), then our entrees. Like I said, my entree was great (Widow Maker burger). But then....I finished my drink and she saw it was empty, but right past she went. 5 minutes later, still waiting. My sister's drink was then empty. I asked another server to get our drinks as we could see ours standing back by the bar hanging out with no intention to head toward our table. He got our server and she did bring us the drinks. Not even an "oh sorry for the wait.". Instead she tried to get us to buy dessert, lol. Instead of asking if we'd like our ticket split (which I guess I shouldn't ASSUME someone will do, but I rarely have a time when I'm not asked) she brought our bill out on one check. Not the biggest issue regarding the ticket, but after the lack of service and the weird attempt at nearly having us sit close enough to that other table of guests, I would not ever, ever recommend anyone go there. There are way too many great restaurants in Nashville to waste your time on this place.

Service was almost none existent. There was one waitress waiting on at least 4 tables and so, the food took a while to arrive. We waited so long and were so hungry we had to ask for more bread. The food finally arrived and it was pretty mediocre. Out of our party of 5, most of us were pretty unimpressed with this restaurant.
(2)Curtis J.
Rarely have I ever seen such a train wreck in a restaurant... Service was slow because our server was being seated by a chaotic hosting staff, and as he admitted, he had too many tables to be able to be effective. After my wife found a very long hair in her salad, we knew we were in for a special night out without our infant daughter. Spoke with the manager who apologized. My steak was great. My wife's steak was wrong... on many levels. When the manager came back, she apologized and offered to bring another steak cooked perfectly. The steak the MANAGER brought was woefully undercooked for medium. At least our waiter had a sense of humor as he described the poor conditions, revolving management, and he even offered to walk-out when we were done. The humor helped mask the poor excuse for simple execution by the majority of staff at this restaurant.

The steaks here are unreal. I didn't expect this good from a chain but they are top notch. We go back for the steak with bacon wrapped shrimp covered in bar b q sauce with cheese inside. A gamechanger! The desserts never disappoint either. expect to spend $90-$100 for 2 with a desert and doing it right

First time here and I am in LOVE! It's Valentines day and even though there was a line and a ton of people, we got seated in 12 mins. Awesome attentive waiter named Kwesi. Started with the 3 cheese potatocakes.... they were amazing! I got soup instead of salad and had the potato cheddar, again amazing! For dinner I had the Ribeye (well done... I hate pink meat :/ and this was cooked perfectly!) and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were the only thing that was so so about my meal... they weren't seasoned much but the steak balanced it to make it a perfect meal. My girlfriend had the salad with ranch and she said it was a normal salad but was happy it had mushrooms. She had the half rack of BBQ Ribs and shrimp. Our waiter recommended the BBQ Stuffed Shrimp and she absolutely loved them! Her ribs were amazing, fell off the bone, and the portion was what most restaurants consider a full rack! The baked potato was good but the steamed vegi's left a bit to be desired... they were a bit undercooked. All in all, an amazing time at this restaurant and I can't wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for some intermission drinks and apps between movies. We had never heard of the Claim Jumper...but it was really clean, convenient, had a great happy hour menu, and had TV's on (important to my football loving bf). It was 2:45pm so it was pretty empty, sitting at the bar was no trouble. Happy hour ended at 3:00 but our bartender made sure we had ample drinks up and apps on the tab before the 3:00 cut off, which was super nice of him. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. I had the happy hour Cosmo and a Long Island iced tea. The bf had a LIT and a beer. My drinks were both ok...we are both suspect that the happy hour drinks were a bit watered down. We had a drink after the cut off (and from a different bartender) and it was a lot stronger. The food was REALLY good though. I got the 2 Street Tacos (fish), we shared chips and salsa, and the BF had some wings. The salsa was PERFECT and the chips were made in house. The salsa had a spicy little kick, though...which we loved. The (fried fish) tacos were a bit messy, but totally worth the mess...corn tortillas are where it's at y'all! I didn't try the wings, but the bf said they were really good. All in all...it was a great intermission happy hour spot.

My husband and I are on vacation in Nashville and had tickets to the Opry. Decided to catch supper at the Claim Jumper. I had fried shrimp and he had the beef ribs. All the food was great. The service was fantastic. Would recommend this place.
(5)Tarantula B.
Out at Opry Mills @ Bass Pro Shops and after walking around and looking at fishing items for 2 hrs. Worked up an appetite. So we decided to check out Claim Jumper. After seeing a 3 star rating and the comments we were hesitant to stop, We took a chance and had a nice dinner. The service and food was good.

Ate here 2 days ago w my bff and sister the food was amazing! Our waitress was ok she was alil snappy but the manager was supper nice! It's very dark and relaxing nice place 2 get 2 know somebody

Another Landry's property located in Opry Mills. Okay Mall people, this is your kind of restaurant...a menu the size of a phone book, grilled or fried, 'signature cocktails', 'healthy choices'...only problem is that this place is uber predictable, everything is covered in some kind of sauce and the wait staff tries to upsell you on their frequent dining card and plate add ons like a car rental place. This is all well and good except that I am not a Mall person. All the food here seems like it was made somewhere else and is assembled out of boxes in the back. They tout California and American cuisine which usually means wraps (fried or lo-fat tortilla) and avocado. Not having many choices for killer food at Opry Mills, The Claim Jumper is a good and likely choice....the others are an Italian version, the Aquarium (ugh), Rainforest or the food court.
(2)Adam W.
I had the widow maker. Which is a really big burger and was good. Menu has a lot to choose from and has most anything people would want. I would recommend this place to anyone.
(4)Rachelle W.
I visited Claim Jumper with a group of 7. I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp. The food was good and our servers were friendly and prompt. I'm giving a 4 because nothing wowed me. Overall a good experience and I'd go back if I'm ever in the area.
(4)R R.
The pasta I ordered was kinda cheap-tasting. A lot of the food was over-priced and the drinks were ridiculously so. It was about a 30 minute wait even though most of the place seemed empty, so I'm guessing they were short-staffed. It seemed to take a LONG time (at least 15 minutes) jus There are other things I wouldn't mind trying on the menu, I just wouldn't go out of my way to go here.
(2)Crystal H.
Food was good. Hostess station lied about wait 5 mins turned into 45 mins. Server was barely existent. Of the two times I've been service was very much lacking.
(2)Jean S.
I ordered the mini veggie works pizza and salad. I couldn't tell if the brown tint was the balsamic vinaigrette or the soggy lettuce. My sister had the same and we both felt the pizza crust was soggy in the center. The outside crust was brown but center doughy. This usually means they cooked the crust too fast. The manager offered to make a new fresh one but we didn't want to. The manager said that sometimes the veggies put off some moisture and thats why soggy. Nope the veggies were mushrooms, spinach, onions with a light marinara and feta cheese. Our other friends fish and chips and burger were good and the California salad was tasty that another table mate had. Server was okay. Don't think ill go back.
(2)Kenneth M.
I have to say for the price of the food, I thought it would be better. It wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. I read all the reviews on Yelp about the giant cake they have. I ordered it. It was a large piece of chocolate cake, but I've tasted better cake out of a Duncan Hines box.
(2)Cindy C.
Came here while visiting my brother for the holidays. I ordered the steak and shrimp with a baked sweet potato and it was delicious :) Service was ok, the waiter seemed like she was new/didn't know the menu very well.

I work in the service industry & have my entire life, so to rate any place only 1 star is hard for me. I give a ton of leeway & understand that sometimes things just go wrong. However, the only reason I'm giving 1 star at all is because the manager I duty today was very kind & tried her best. This said, my sister bestfriend & I waited 1.5hrs on our food today. We sent 1 drink back because it was an uber sweet sangria & choose to buy a bottle of wine instead. Once our food finally arrived, my sister's pizza was cold & not made with gluten free bread. My friend's sandwich was fine but her ff were cold & had a bread seasoning on them which we asked to be left off- to make them gluten free. My friend has Celiacs, an auto-immune disease, and the reason why the no gluten is do important. I got a salad which was fine, but the grilled shrimp on top was cold. I ate mine because I was starving. My sister just asked for her pizza to go back in the oven, didn't request a new one all together & my friend asked for hot ff without the bread crumbles. The manager was very nice & fixed all of this. Then said she would be happy to buy us a dessert, which we thought was kind, but we never ordered one because there was a hair in my friends food! Not just a long human hair, short, kinky, rough, reddish colored hair. I'm praying it was from a beard- need I say more! Our server was pretty much nonexistent through the entire ordeal. However she did make a comment about the food looking "dead" in the window. For those of you not in this industry- this means the food had been sitting there a very long time! Why on earth would you serve it if this is what you thought?!! I'm sure it was dead- we had been sitting there 1.5hrs! Two hours into the meal when the hair was found we flagged down the manager again. She apologized immensely & said the GM would be out to talk to us shortly. He never showed up. Irritated, disgusted & completely annoyed we left enough money on the table to pay for the bottle of wine, the 1 individual glass my sister had to begin with & my salad. Probably a little extra too, but not much. Then we got up & left. Never in my life have I had to do this. I've been a bartender for over a decade & was a server in my parents restaurant prior to that. I will NEVER go back. This place seriously needs to get it together & a part of me feels like we should've walked out without paying all together, but couldn't because we are honest & weren't just trying to get a free meal. What a fiasco!

Bummed that this place doesn't have the same menu as other Claim Jumpers. I go nuts for Gold Rush Chicken, but they don't have it. The chicken fried steak was pretty darn good, though.
(3)Kat E.
The server Megan was outstanding. She guided us though the menu and every one was pleased with what they ordered. The Toffee cake was spectacular!
(5)Debbie E.
Excellent food & service! We had a chopped salad & a calzone..both were delish! Make sure you try the chocolate cake for dessert. A little pricey for lunch but worth it!!
(5)Chuck P.
Read the bad reviews and decided to try it for myself, we went in for just appetizers before the movie. Service was ok but the food I hate to say was really lacking for such a nice restaurant. First the bread served on a wooden oven block had been microwaved to warm, very chewy. The 17.99 sampler was really pretty bad. Ate about a quarter if it and decided the reviews were right. Won't be going back
(2)Jamie A.
Not too shabby! My friend and I decided on Claim Jumper before seeing the Wizard of Oz at IMAX. Thankfully we had two hours to kill...the food was good, but it took forever to get to our table (just a salad and appetizer). We were fortunate to score a seat in the bar. The service started out awesome. The bartender/server was super friendly and attentive. The skinny margarita was delicious! I love that they use agave nectar. Unfortunately we did not see the bartender again until after our food arrived over 30 minutes after we ordered. By then my margarita was gone and we didn't have time for a second. Bummer. It wasn't busy in the bar area at all. Only one stool occupied by a gentleman who wasn't drinking so I'm not really sure what contributed to the lack of service after we ordered. I had the coconut shrimp appetizer as my dinner. It is a perfect appetizer side with four large shrimp coated in coconut goodness. I really appreciated the smallish size. I know I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from eating twenty if given the opportunity. The accompanying sauce was really tasty and quite spicy. A slaw of sorts was on the side, but it was soggy and unappetizing. My friend had the BBQ chicken salad. It looked really tasty.

Had dinner tonight with my wife to celebrate our first date anniversary that happened to be here. Called in 1 hour ahead for a table and they got us a booth, the same booth we had on our first date. Service was prompt and food was ok. Ribs were a bit overlooked this time but everything else on my meal was great. Wife got a seafood plate that was 3 star this time. Ordered drinks and they were top notch. I would say that their was a lot of reviews complaining about the wait and service, and I have been here at least 10 times and never had an issue. I will say that I have a laundries club card so any time it was busy we just showed the card and got seated immediately. Also even though its $25, getting $25 credit on your next purchase, plus 25 for birthday and 25 every 250 spent has worked out well.
(4)Mat O.
The service was bad we asked if we can switch to table from the bar and they said we have to wait while there were 10 empty tables, asked for a blue moon and they were out, took for ever to get our order 100% am not coming back here again. When we got the food it was cold so we had to sent it back
(2)BT M.
Calamari was decent. I added a salad to my meal, which came tossed in what I hope was Ranch dressing. The salad had zero taste. I tasted it and thought, since it was dressed, it was a Caesar salad. I couldn't tell. I had someone else try it and they couldn't tell either. At $2.99 it wasn't worth the add onto my entree. The menu is extensive (think The Cheesecake Factory in a smaller version). We got an appetizer of calimari...not bad. At the server's suggestion, I picked the chicken pot pie. It was decent. A nice crust, full of creamy goodness. The chicken pieces are small, but you could find them in the mix. The talapia bianca (?) was so-so, according to another person. The place is a solid 3.
(3)Wendy P.
Food was mediocre. Tortilla soup was good but calzone had a strange after taste to it. Husband said tuna was way over cooked in his ahi tuna salad. Wait staff was friendly enough but will not return.
(2)Amber C.
Haven't been to claim jumper in years. It is nothing like I remember it. The steak was over cooked and the macaroni was very plain tasting. The only pleasant part of our meal was our waiter.
(2)Brittany W.
Mediocre food, way overpriced, but encountering one of the managers ruined the experience all together. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday, and not busy. After my mom ordered a sirloin, the server returned to inform us they did not have the sirloin (really?) but had a bone-in sirloin that was $10 more (menu listed it as $35... For a bone and less steak? Whyyyy?). So mom (low-carber) settled for a salad instead. When asked how our food was, my mom shrugged and said it was ok, because obvi, she wanted a steak. A few minutes later, a male manager came over and asked if everything was ok. Again, mom shrugged and said it just wasn't what she wanted- that they were out of the sirloin. The manager acts very offended, saying they have a sirloin available and other steaks, like mom should have been PLEASED there was some kind of a steak available. So I said "well the bone in steak you suggested is $35." He shakes his head, smirks and says "no it isn't, no it isn't." And then says "well, sorry you're not happy," and walks away. Pretty crappy service and I felt completely patronized and offended, not to mention the manager clearly doesn't know the price of food on his menu. Over all, dads burger was bland, my fish tacos were okay, moms salad was boring, and our check was outrageous. WILL NOT EAT THERE anytime soon. Bonus points for the sever we watched exit the restroom and zip his fly in the dining room.

Never again. We arrived for a quick dinner as we had purchased tickets to the nearby IMax theatre. We were seated by a hostess who expressed that she worked three jobs and about 90 hours a week. We then waited an eternally long time before the "server" arrived. We expressed our need to rush and ordered our drinks and burgers at the same time. The "server" took our order and then disappeared. From our vantage point, we could see the servers' station and the computer screen indicated we were the third of three tables that our "server" was working at the time. Of the three, one already had their food, the other was in the process of paying. We waited 18 minutes before our iced teas were finally brought to our table. The server apologized by stating that she had "been working another table and they were difficult." Clearly, she was unaware that we had watched her go behind the bar to respond to text messages instead of bringing us our drinks in a timely manner. After an additional 20 minutes, our burgers arrived and it was ashamed we had run out of time to enjoy them. We gobbled down our slightly overcooked entree's without our "server" ever checking on us or noticing our iced teas were empty. I left the table to get to the theatre in time to purchase popcorn while my dinner partner waited to pay the bill. He had to call our "server" over in order to get the check. The place has a nice atmosphere but service was, without exception (the food runner didn't even know what the dishes were that he was bringing to our table), pathetic.

Sometimes you are in a hurry for a quick bite and it turns into a long fiasco Do not expect this location to give you patience with happy hour. We were seated 15 minutes before happy hour ended. We were seated by the hostess who assured us we would receive happy hour prices. Our staff came at 3:05 refusing the happy hour prices; said it was past three. We asked for the extension and a new waiter approved it only to have a third waiter now come by and tell us we couldn't get this. The end result a manager came by, said no problem but we waited at least 35 minutes for 2 appetizers enough said. The manager was rude later to us and we will never return to this location Service became slow when they realized they made a time mistake. Customer service doesn't apply to this place
(1)Russell M.
I went to watch a movie and was early so I decided to eat. I think there are better options than the Clam Jumper. Service was mediocre, I sat at the bar and I think he had to many tables he couldn't handle someone sitting at the bar. I ordered a steak and it was good but the salad that came out before it looked old and wilted. I think it's best to say I will not be back. If the movie wasn't so funny this place may get a two star.

I would love to review this restaurant on the drinks, food, desserts and service. But, we didn't get any of that. This past Thursday night - a group of friends and I decided we wanted to go to Dave and Busters to see someone perform and have some dinner. Upon our arrival a little before 7 - all tables in the main dining area were taken (so we wouldn't really be able to watch the performance). So, we decided we'd try one of the new restaurants that moved into Opry Mills. We saw 'Claim Jumpers' and decided we'd try to go in there. We were told for a table of 5 - it'd be a 10-15 minute wait. Fine. We took our buzzer and sat down to wait. This should have been our first clue that this place was going to be a disaster. You could see the dining area and it was pretty much empty - but LOTS of dirty, un-bussed tables. Whatever - we thought maybe they just had a rush or something. It was now a little after 7 - so, we gave them the benefit of the doubt. After about 15 minutes they buzzed us and took us to our table. We were told our server would be with us shortly. After about 10 minutes - we were starting to look around. Finally - the hostess came back over and apologized for the delay and said she'd get our drink order for us. So, we put in our drink order. Then another 15 minutes go by - still no server - still no drinks. So, we decide - screw this - we are going to leave and just find some place to eat! As we were walking out the door - the hostess - the one who sat us (who was the same one that said she'd get our drink order) gave us a cheery 'Bye guys - come again..." To which we turned and glared at her. I mean, you said you were going to get our drink order and never did. We N E V E R even saw our server. We had just wasted 40-45 minutes in this restaurant and still didn't have so much as a drink. UNBELIEVABLE! There is only one other place where I got that kind of service and that was Rumba - and I've never been back there. Claim Jumpers - you just added yourself to my 'Places to Avoid' list. Pathetic.
(1)Bridget S.
I thought that this would be a nice different type of food establishment at Opry Mills, but I was wrong. The menu had burgers to cajun pasta. The appetizers were huge.....enough for two to share for a meal. The cajun pasta was not spicy and had very little sausage. The service so so and very pricey.
(2)Marshall C.
I really wanted to like this place. The first sign was the wait,,,despite open tables. Once seated we waited about 15 minutes before stopping someone to get our order. While waiting we counted the numbers of black shirted staff,,damn it was a bunch of the,,looked to me so any because they were so short staffed in my estimation. Food, very good,, but such poor service,, I won't be back
(2)Jennifer G.
Hands down the best southwestern egg rolls I have ever eaten. Loved our waiter. Seated right away. I had the chicken parmesan. It was great.
(5)Kayla D.
This place is pricey but good. A TON of choices on their menu (seriously, the menu is like 8-10 pages) and they are very accommodating for people with food allergies. Somewhat pricey- but this resturant, the animal one and the aquarium one are all owned by the same company, basically meaning they all have similar if not the same foods with just different names.
(4)Elliott M.
My experience at Claim Jumpers was unacceptable. We were seated almost immediately, but only after the hostess told us she did not like her job. Our order was also taken almost immediately, but then we waited 45 minutes for our food. We even waited over 30 minutes for a mojito! Which, actually, wasn't a mojito at all. It was made with lemonade and lemons, not limes. And it tasted like lemonade, too. Our food was inadequate as well. Not only did it take 45 minutes, it was then cold and poorly made. The Cobb salad had no dressing. The tortilla soup was cold and did not have a pleasant taste. Also, the vegetarian burger was all wrong. They advertised in their menu that it was a Boca burger. It was NOT a Boca, it was a generic, tasteless veggie burger. Most non-vegetarians don't know the difference of course, but if you are going to advertise having a Boca, it should be a Boca! It's similar to advertising you're giving me Coke, and you bring me Pepsi-- THERE'S A DIFFERENCE! Believe me. And I think the Boca company would be upset as well. We never got to speak to a manager, the restaurant was too loud, too pricey and not at all delicious. I regret eating there and would NEVER suggest it.

I first had a taste of Claim Jumper on a trip to Arizona. My first phrase after eating there was, "This would go over huge in Tennessee." Little did I know a few months later, CJ would land in the perfect Nashville spot at Opry Mills. If you like good American food, this is definitely your place. Portions are huge. Selection is enormous. The desserts, well, their too embarrassingly large to talk about here as a former big and tall guy. If you like steak, absolutely order one of the many. The guys next to me at the bar (it was crazy busy and I was alone, so I opted to skip the wait and grab a single seat) commented it was the best steak he'd ever had. I'm not a green bean fan, but I feel guilty when nothing green is on my plate. I ate very last one of these little boogers. They grill them with something addictive...so good. Expect a wait. Expect tourists. Expect a lot of noise. It's not the most affordable place in the world for the quality of the food, but the portions may justify the price tag.
(4)Julie P.
You really cant please everybody. That's what I found in reviewing the feedback for this eatery. I read the reviews before picking a place to eat in the area and went with the Claim Jumper due to the extensive menu. We were seated right away. The service was excellent. We started off with fried zucchini and ordered two entrees, which were brought out timely, but not too fast. The server was attentive. I ordered the filet and my company ordered steak and shrimp. The sweet baked potato that came out with my order was the biggest potato I had seen, maybe ever. The food was delicious. The filet was cooked just right. We have no complaints and would definitely recommend this Claim Jumper to friends.

I went here for a weekday lunch and it. was. AMAZING! Yes, it's a chain and yes, it's in tourist central, but the food makes it all worth it. I started with the clam chowder and for my entree I had the grilled chicken breast with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes. Everything was so perfect about this meal; the char on the chicken, the way the carrots caramelized on the grill, the light sauce that was drizzled over everything. YUMMY! The portions are way too big for a normal adult, but some people might see that as a good thing. I was debating dessert, but my server gave me my check as soon as my meal arrived so I didn't get to indulge! Everyone at the restaurant was very friendly and I really appreciated that if you order tea or water they go ahead and bring you a decanter for refills. Go for lunch to avoid the crowds and a long wait!

Slow, slow, slow. Expensive, expensive, expensive. Medium steak came well done. Salad came with insane amount of dressing; couldn't eat it. Clam Chowder from a can is better - way too salty here. Server hit on my sis-in-law. No offer to adjust or fix anything when we told them about the things that were wrong. Don't go here ever. Will never go back. Wish I had checked Yelp before going. Go over to Macaroni Grill or TGI Fridays if you want an expensive chain... or better yet go to Moes.

Terrible service. Unfriendly waiter and had to wait 15 minutes after asking for a glass of water, 40 minutes for a margarita and an hour to get an appetizer. Food came 20 minutes later and it was clear it has been made well before it came out to us. Things that were supposed to be hot we're cold, salads were dry and bland, etc. Would not recommend spending your money here.
(1)Chris G.
I ordered the 9oz top sirloin, green beans and salad. The salad was tossed in the dressing, which I love. The green beans were perfectly sautéed with just the right amount of seasoning. The steak was also perfectly grilled to medium rare. The service was prompt and the food came quickly. I would have given it 5 stars, but the child's plates were overpriced. Overall a great experience and we will be back.

A very mediocre restaurant. Not bad, not good.
(1)Carmen P.
a decent restaurant. nothing flashy, nothing exceptionally unique. if you're in opry mills mall, and want to dine in a place free of children, animatronic jungle animals, or singing wait staff dressed in 50's clothing, this place is a good option. i've been here several times, and the food has always been decent, but nothing to run down the walking path of the mall shouting and praising about. the steak chili is pretty good though. the bar drinks are pretty good too.
(3)Chris H.
Worst place I have eaten in a long time. For app we ordered the BBQ Shrimp Poppers. It was bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cream cheese. All you could taste was the bacon and after biting into it the shrimp was completely raw. For my main I ordered the Asian Pizza, worst concept I have ever tried. The dough was so saturated with the oil sauce it made it soggy and disgusting. I will never return to Claim Jumper again.
(1)Jason B.
For a fancy exterior, it lacks basic service. Bar servers pay little attention to you and cook staff don't know their burgers. I'll go elsewhere when I'm craving a burger.
(2)Rebecca E.
I was looking forward to trying this new place that opened with the reopening of Opry Mills. I made a reservation for 4 people and a baby for 5:30pm on a Saturday. Though we arrived a few minutes before our reservation, it took until almost 6pm until we were seated. On our way to our table, we passed at least a dozen empty tables, so I'm not sure why we waited for half an hour past our reservation time. We ordered right away, as we had already chosen our appetizer and entrees while waiting. And then the wait continued.... We had to ask the server for bread. The food was average, but the service level left a lot to be desired.
(2)Kevin K.
We had tickets for the Grand Ole Opry and only had about 50 minutes so I was a little worried about the wait time and slow service that I had seen on other reviews. Luis, our server was prompt, attentive, and made sure we were 100% satisfied. My burger was very good, but you have to ask to have it cooked medium rare. Overall, our experience was pretty good and we were in and out of there in 30 minutes in plenty of time to see the show.
(4)Rick W.
Service was very slow. Other chains are better. The BBQ chicken salad was good, but really it is a very simple dish. I don't need to go back here when there are so many other places to eat.
(2)Nicci M.
Great service and very delicious food. I'll definitely be back and will refer others.
(5)Holden C.
I never ever give places a one star, but this place was worth it. They told us 40 minutes, 1 hour & 45 minutes later, we were finally seated. What followed was a comic experience of messed up drink orders, running out of food, etc. it was brutal. One hour later, we still didn't have our food. Manager gave us a free appetizer, that's it. When we got our food, we immediately asked for our bill, it still took a half an hour and they messed up our bill. It was a Kafka-esque three hour dining experience. One of the worst experiences ever.
(1)Andrew H.
Honestly, perfect for what we were looking for. Big portions (we saw on way in) so we split the BBQ Chicken Salad. It was excellent and plenty big for the two of us to share. Just enough dressing (it was chopped and not "wet") and a nice mix of ingredients. We also got the zucchini for an app. Great crunch and flavor on the batter--a little too much batter, but it was easy to simply take off the extra breading. Here's the deal people: if you want more of something, just ask. If you don't get what you ordered, let someone know. And if its not cooked properly, tell the manager...that's why they have the title. I've been in F&B for 15 years and now own 2 places (one fine dining, one casual cafe). It continues to amaze me some of the expectations some yelp reviewers have...especially when they clearly don't make any effort to really enjoy themselves. You're dining...not solving world peace.

We were pretty excited about finding a Claim Jumper and had high expectations based on the one we had eaten at in Denver. We didn't get what we expected. Service was a bit below average, I ordered the porterhouse which wasn't cooked as ordered. I would have let them know, had our waitress come back to check to see how the steaks were. Overall, the food was below average, the service the same. Definitely not the "Claim Jumper" experience we expected. Our recommendation - skip this restaurant and try one of the others in the area. For this price, I wish we had just had dinner over at the Opryland Resort.
(2)G L.
We were a party of 12 and were there for 2 1/2 hours. We only got our drinks refilled once and that was after we asked. We never got our bread that our waitress offered to bring nor any additional condiments when asked for. We had 12 different entrees; some good, some so-so, some as good as a gas station. One dish came 15 minutes after the others and the only comment was, "at least you got it", said jokingly. Too bad, it would've been a real nice evening, good thing for Great Friends!
(2)Matt U.
My friend and I went in for a bite to eat only to see they were on a short wait. Fortunately for us there were bar seats available so we went ahead and sat down at the bar. Emily brought us some waters while we looked over the drink menu. I ordered the Rye Times because it sounded amazing. Only to find it didn't have that much flavor in it as it was just overpowered by one ingredient making the rest masked in it's shadow which was quite bland. So i switched it up to my usual of whiskey sour which was a little bit better since I could taste the flavors this time. I have to say I was overwhelmed by the menu as my friend and I looked it over trying to find something to order with all of the choices. Finally I decided on the Shrimp Fresca pasta. It was by far one of the best pasta dishes I have eaten in a long time. If you enjoy seafood (shrimp) and pasta I recommend trying it. You will not be disappointed. I enjoyed speaking to Emily as we were coming to a close on our visit here. She was very kind and asked that I come back again. For my first experience here it was a great one. Looking forward to my next visit.
(5)Sam L.
I had the chicken pot pie and a coke, which was yummy, but $20 FOR ONE PERSON?? Nah, I don't think so. I would rather get the potpie at Cheddars.
(3)Thomas H.
Horrible service. The waitress was very inattentive. If you want to have better service just go right next door to Macaroni Grill.
(1)Christopher K.
A lunch stop of convenience. There is not a lot to say about the menu, it is typical mall chain American. I did enjoy the pot pie, can't resist ordering that when I see it. We enjoyed good service, so the meal itself was uneventful and passed with good conversation.
(2)Nash W.
We were sat down for lunch with an almost empty restaurant. After 12 minutes of no one stopping by a waiter finally asked if we had been taken care of......really??? Do you see the menus? Or lack of drinks? What was your first clue? Do they or do they not have assigned serving areas? Very dissappointing indeed.......
(1)Heidi H.
Loved the atmosphere, the portions were ginormous, the selection was broad and the food was solid. The only reason I'm marking it down is that the service was a disaster, but this was a couple weeks ago, closer to the opening. Perhaps they've worked out the kinks -- my sincere hope since I'm taking a business dinner there this p.m. (They want to see Opry Mills.) We sat down quickly, but it took forever to get our waiter's attention, and then he seemed completely flummoxed. It took asking a different server to get WATER.
(3)George T.
I had a good experience recently for dinner. I ate at the bar. The bartender was nice and knowledgeable. I followed her suggestion for the Southwest egg roll, Drunk Chicken and the CJ house beers. The egg roll was amazing as were the beers; I had two of the beers and a taste of the third. I would try a different entrée the next time. It was not bad and maybe it was not quite up to her first two suggestions. While her first two suggestions were off the chart, the chicken while high on the chart but was still on the chart. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised as I was expecting a typical chain restaurant experience.
(4)Karen P.
For a chain in a mall, this was very good. I have eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. The portions are HUGE!. Their salads are wonderful and can be shared by two. However, last night some friends drove into town after dinner and we just met for coffee and desert. The Motherload Chocolate Cake was unbelievable. Chocolate upon chocolate upon chocolate, and could feed 6 easily. We all three shared and had enough for each to take home. Very good service and an overall delightful experience
(4)Kevin K.
Stopped here before going to the Grand Ole Opry. The service was great. The salads were fresh and my steak was grilled to perfection. Try the three cheese potato cakes.
(4)Natalie T.
Went for lunch today and they were not busy but I think even if they were our waiter would have been amazing. This is the best service I have had at a restaurant in a very long time! Our waiter seemed to come right at the right times and was very accommodating. This was our first time to eat here and he was very knowledgeable at the menu! I ordered a drink and ask that it not be delivered until my foot was and it arrived almost simultaneously! I had the widow maker burger that he had recommended and he was right on point! It was the best burger I have had in a very long time! Cooked perfect. And I usually don't eat a side with my burger but it came with fries and boy was I glad they did! They were some of the best fries I have ever eaten!!!! My friend had the tilapia and she also said that it was very good. The Hawaiian Martini was good but nothing to write home about! I can't wait to get the opportunity to go here again!!!!!
(5)John P.
Not too bad and service made up for the doughy bread that was first served. Spinach Artichoke dip was good and unique. The artichokes were the size of your thumb and had more spinach in the dip then I was use to, but really no complaints. They gave a few chips with it and I was surprised at how filling it was. I had a chicken fried steak. The steak was lightly seasoned but the portion size was more then I could eat. They skimped on the gravy but mashed potatoes were REAL. Other meal was a Widow Maker hamburger....reminded me of Man versus Food. All in all a good experience for the first time. Other places were packed and would have been 45 mins to get in TGIF; the 10 minute wait was worth it. I would go back if I was already at the mall. One thing, service was 5 stars, as far as I was concerned. I dont know the guys name but, he was from California and a Psyc. Major. At least it hires educated people who can carry on a halfway decent conversation....but at the same time, he knew when to walk away....
(3)Henry J.
Food was not worth the cost. I've had much better at fast food restaurants for a lot cheaper. Don't waste your time or money. Service was below par.

Very nice lunch . Quick service friendly service personell. Love the shoestring frenchfries.

Where do I start...Last night my family and I celebrated my sons 21st Birthday last night at the Claim Jumper. We started off with drinks in which was messed up. We let our server know and she fixed the drink order. We then received our entrees which did not match what we ordered ? When we contacted the server again she had no remorse at all. I asked about dinner rolls that typically are served prior to dinner her response was only if your requested them ? After we completed the dinner we expected some sort of BIrthday Celebration which I requested when we were seated and nothing ? I then approached the manager to voice my displeasure of the terrible service we received and she offered me a free dessert ? I asked her if she was joking and she then offered me an appetizer ? Unfortunately I was here a month prior and had a similar experience was the writing on the wall. I have based my experiences with Claim Jumper at California locations where there food and service has been awesome.Be careful at this location. I will not return.......

I've been to Claim Jumper a couple of times now and am still waiting to be blown away...which it has the potential to do. The first time, service was VERY slow (and no manager table visit to explain what the holdup was) but the food was delicious. We ordered the appetizer sampler of hand rolled fried cheese, fried zucchini, and spinach artichoke dip (would def. order again!), each had a mini pizza (good but nothing special), and then each had a dessert (the apple cobbler was yummy!). The most recent visit was somewhat the opposite. We went in for a nice dinner. I indulged in the S'mores martini while I perused the large menu. I decided on a filet (perfectly cooked to medium!) with a house salad and a baked sweet potato. My only complaint on my food was that I didn't care for the brown sugar butter. I prefer to actually have the brown sugar and cinnamon to add to the potato - it was just strange and the flavor was odd. We also ordered the chicken parmesan, which came out cold TWICE!!! Decided to switch to the roasted chicken with vegetables and macaroni and cheese. The roasted chicken (great), vegetables (nothing special), and macaroni and cheese (again, cold). We finished our dinner and drinks, decided on dessert to go - ready to get out of there and go home! We got a red velvet cupcake (eh...it was ok) and then went across the way to the Aquarium restaurant and picked up a piece of key lime pie (so good!). Our server, can't remember his name, was amazing! He was fast, friendly, witty, and was understandably frustrated with the kitchen. A couple tables around us also had issues with food temps/times. The chicken parmesan was obviously taken off the bill, but the manager never once came by to apologize or to check on us. It would've been a terrible experience but our server keep us laughing and our drinks filled. I'll give this place another shot, but I sure hope the next visit is great in all aspects. It's a beautiful restaurant with a cozy but modern atmosphere, a nice soundtrack, incredible menu, and hopefully, more great servers.

I have eaten at Claim Jumpers in San Diego and Chicago. Please close this one down before it gives the other ones a bad name. The food fails to live up to their other restaurants quality, it's noisy, and service was slow. I heard Landrys bought the chain I hope they don't ruin it.
(1)Susan K.
Excellent service and food! I ordered the Steak Chili Baked Potato and my husband ordered the Top Sirloin. His was cooked to order, tender and delicious. It came with a side Cesar salad and side dish. A fresh loaf of sourdough bread was served. It was almost better than the sourdough we have in San Francisco! Appetizer: Fried Lemon Zucchini..it was awesome and way more than any 2 people could eat. I don't know how they fry it and it's not greasy at all! Our server was attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back!
(4)Felicia C.
Not thrilled with our wait......10 minutes before a server (who did not have our table but s that we were sitting here for a long time) stopped by. From that point on, everything got better. The food was good (potato soup and a French dip). We finished up with the cheesecake, which was yummy. Would I return? We shall see...
(3)Jason V.
Food was great! Especially the chicken pot pie and mashed potatoes. Prices aren't bad, service could be a lot better. Would come back.
(4)Lester W.
This was my first and last visit, not a whole lot of positive things to say really. We were seated quickly and our appetizers actually were pretty decent, but it was all downhill from there. Unrolled my napkin to find that my fork still had a bit of old food stuck to it, and i wasnt the only one in my party. When all was said and done we had a plateful of dirty silverware..... And i'm not talking about water spots they were actually DIRTY!!! Then our waitress either stopped paying attention to us or just started only hearing half of what we said because we had to make a few requests multiple times because it just wasn't happening. I understand that we were a large party, but come on, why did we have to ask three times to get some ketchup? Then when our meals came they all came out one by one with a few minutes between each person being served. My friend asked for a medium rare steak and what came out was raw, still ice cold and bleeding on her plate. And then to top everything off my party was hit with an automatic 18% gratuity on a meal that everyone was unhappy with. I'll never be back, which is a shame because the ambiance is actually pretty cool.

I really don't know why all the bad reviews. So far so bad for yelp on picking places to eat. This place was really good. The bread was hot and great, my wife had a cup(size of a normal persons cereal bowl) of clam chowder and it is was almost as good as the one at the wharf in San Fran, and I had a cup of steak chili which was awesome. The side salads were both really good especially the Asian dressing. I was full by then and that is a feat in itself bc I eat a lot. My wife and I both ordered the sirloin and grilled veggies and they were both excellent. The steak was super tender but not gross tender like some chains when they beat it so much it is like hamburger, and had great flavor. I would say it was one of the best steaks I've had at a chain like that, and maybe better than a good day at outback. Overall yelp does it again. The Athens restaurant we ate at today with great reviews was ok and this place with bad reviews was awesome. Thought I would help you yelpers out by giving some good reviews of good places. If I lived in Nashville this would be a semi regular. The waiter we had was really good also.
(5)Jami M.
I really enjoy this place! I had the top sirloin steak and thought the flavor was excellent. The wine sauce that comes with it is also really good. My fellow diner went with the whiskey apple glazed chicken which was also amazing. The portions are good and the food is good. Server could of been more on filling our beverages though.
(4)Jessica S.
We had visited a California location before while on vacation. That was about 4 years ago and remembered it to be pretty good. Mom and I had lunch at this location on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't super busy, tourists mostly, which we expected both. Service was fantastic! Had Gayla as a waitress. She's got a big personality and was very attentive to us. Food was average though. Mom got the BBQ chicken salad and said there was a weird flavor to it, but couldn't tell what it was. She said it was good other than that and it was pretty big. I got the mini BBQ chicken pizza. It was literally the size of a small salad plate, but it was filling. It had good flavors, I just didn't care for the chicken on it (wasn't all white meat and I tend to be picky about my chicken). The food was rather pricey for the quality, in my opinion. Not sure we'll be back any time soon.
(3)Scott B.
This place seems to get bad review for service. We had 10 people in our table and the service was good. Everyone seemed to like their meals, but I thought my chicken was dry. One person in our party got the drunken chicken and she said it was one of the best meals she's eaten. So, I guess there's good with bad. I used to frequent Claim Jumper in California when I was out there. They always had a giant salad bar and I loved it. Portion sizes were always better than large and you felt you got your money's worth and then some. Not so much with this restaurant. Don't know if it's a "chain" decision or a local decision not to have the salad bar, but it would've been great here.
(3)Jenelle A.
Don't do it. I'm pretty laid back but this place super sucked. Out off many ingredients and found out after meals came out. The hostess looked like she would prefer to be getting a root canal rather than greeting and seating customers. Server was friendly but didn't bring water and put in the wrong food order. Food almost guaranteed to give at least a touch of food poisoning. Unless every other restaurant in this place is closed and you're about to die of starvation, avoid. Update - the manager just came over and was very nice and apologetic. She comped us for the errors. That's at least promising.
(1)James S.
Food was really good, very diverse menu selection. Service was good for as crowed as it was. Over all cleanliness for both the seating area and restrooms was good. I would suggest setting up a reservation, we did and when we arrived walk-ins had an hour wait. My only complaint was the noise level, not only was the place packed with loud customers, but the kitchen was open and the clanking of dishes along with the numerous employees/cooks was over whelming. For this reason I rated this place at a 3. Next time I believe I will try this place for lunch, less crowded so I believe the noise level would be more tolerable, and we could enjoy the meal better.
(3)Yvonne K.
I remembered this restaurant from when I lived in California and loved it then so I had to have lunch here when we ran across this one. Lunch portions were not as large as I remember but the fish tacos were good and loved their coleslaw, very different and I think it had a peanut sauce. Good service and nicely decorated.Their desserts are huge and look great if you can save room! Wish I had this restaurant closer to my town.
(5)Marisela S.
I hasn't had claim jumper in years since the one near me closed so I wanted to try it. I have some dietary needs and they had a gluten free menus that had a variety of options which was great! I got the chicken with mashed potatoes that were delish and the service was good and fast and the waiter was very nice and overall it was a great experience.
(3)Chrissie S.
I absolutely love, love, love this restaurant. The 1st one I went to is in Seattle & I haven't been able to get enough since. Their bread is AhMazin! I always get the Club Sammich with the shoestring fries. Always hits the spot! They make a mean & Huge Club! Their cookies with ice cream dessert is Gigantic. Well more than enough for 2 people to share :) The atmosphere here is always very nice & the servers have always seemed very pleasant... so pleasant, in fact, that they convinced us to finally get our Landry's card, which I suggest you do as well if you ever experience this place bcus once you go Claim Jumper, you never go back! :)
(5)Michelle B.
6 of us, all had a wonderful meal and service to go with it. Great wine selection as well.
(5)Tyler B.
I went here with my husband last night, and it left a lot to be desired. Our service was very slow. The food wasn't so great either. I got the potato cheddar soup in the sourdough bread bowl. The soup was more like really old potatoes au gratin that had been reheated. It was thick and pasty. My husband got the BBQ chicken sandwich which he said wasn't too bad, but not as good as it usually is (compared to the Claim Jumper we used to go to in California). The shoestring fries, however, are amazing! That was the only good part of the meal. The grand finale cookie we got for dessert was totally not worth the calories. The cookies were hard and dry as if they had been sitting out for a while. I will try this location again since we used to love the Claim Jumper is CA, but my first impression wasn't great.
(2)Mark N.
Service was great. Got seated right away (lunch time on sat). Food was amazing had the atlantic salmon with a bbq glaze. Cooled just right. Salmon was still moist. Prices are a little expensive but for that quality of food it was worth it.
(5)Jason S.
Christ o' mighty this waiter cant even keep the tickets right and they forgot another member of our parties food for over an hour...ugh. won't be back.
(2)Sarah S.
It was really busy but we tried to see if we could go to the bar to grab drinks/a bite and were treated rudely. Despite that, we came back to try again for dinner due to a large menu and gluten free menu for one of our dining companions. We were seated with menus... And waited... And waited... Waited...no water or anything. Many servers walked by us and one was standing and chatting with a table that already had their food - nothing food or service related. Finally we got up and walked out. Being ignored for 15 minutes did not bode well for the rest of our dining experience. We went to Chuy's, which was delicious and had great service.
(1)Adam D.
This is your typical chain mall restaurant. The menu is slightly smaller than the Cheesecake Factory, though the decor reminded me of Morton's Steakhouse. Go with the happy hour specials, play it safe, don't get too fancy, and you should leave content.
(2)Melissa B.
Okay, Okay..I am going to try this restaurant again...but NOT anytime soon!!! My daughter and I went here on Saturday about 11:20 to grab a bite of food before going to the movie. I told the greeter that we were sort of in a hurry because the movie started in about 1 hr..she said "NO Problem" we can get you in and out in NO TIME..The place looked a little empty..so GREAT !!! Well we were seated and about 5 minutes later, waitress showed up..."SORRY" with a smile..I didn't realize someone was already in my station..She took our drink order..I told her "HEY we have a movie in about 45 minutes" so we are in a hurry...OH NO PROBLEM.... She brought us our drinks about another five minutes later...we ordered soup...JUST SOUP...she had clam chowder and I had a loaded potato soup..and then our bread they bring to the table....she had tea and I had soda...THAT is it..!!! By the time she dropped off our drinks, and then came back later to get order and then drop off the soup...it is now 11:45...we have been here for 25 minutes...I wanted to leave at noon because the movie started at 12:10...so we ate the soup, I called her over for the check while we are eating...reminding her again we are in a hurry...Now get this......$21 and some change for 2 soups and 2 non alcoholic drinks...I about freaked out!!! I just had two large chinese dinners the night before for less than that..I had a large pizza at Five Points less than that...I was "WHAT????"..I had to check the the ticket three times...$9 for a bowl of clam chowder...I kid you not..this was NOT A HUGE bowl by any means...HEFTY paper products makes bowls larger than this bowl...$9 for soup ...it should have been a large bowl for a large salad for that price...Heck in most locations a 1/2 sandwich and soup cost less than that...or soup and salad combo cost that much...I was Floored !!!! I paid the check, left her a $3.50 tip and then left..with only 10 minutes to spare...Thank goodness I bought my tickets before we went to the restaurant..but it was close ..but we made the movie...
(2)Amber M.
This place was completely of the charts!!! The food was awesome from the appetizer to the main course to the drinks! Our waitress was not excellent but overall we LOVED it!!!
(4)Mike R.
Needed to escape the thieves at Opryland, so wandered over to Opry Mills. Staff was excellent, food was good. We ate here twice during the week we were in town; lunch was (not surprisingly) the better value. Not quite the unique, local experience I prefer when traveling, but very good considering it's a chain store in a mall. The food and atmosphere were a 3; I'd add 1/2 star for very good service if I could.
(3)Julie B.
Food was good, service was horrible. Food was WAY overpriced. I am a single mom to two teenage boys we don't go out to pricey restaurants like this very often. It was my sons 14th birthday, i told the server and she said she would do something- she never did. She made fun of my oldest for not ordering a "real meal" and even SAT DOWN at our booth and reorganized her register book, complained about how tired she was. She never came back to see if we needed anything. The food was good, but i was so upset that it took so long to get our check, and they were not busy. There was another server who looked high as a kite with dreads down to his waist with no hat or hair net on. GROSS. I will not be coming back. For $65 we could have gotten way better service somewhere else.
(2)Mike H.
Excellent service, very good food, fair value. Liked the veggie burger and veggie choices. Big fan of the Landry's select card which I used on this visit.
(4)Juju W.
I thought the food was pretty good. Caught dinner before Grand Ole Opry w. Darius Rucker. Service was prompt and loved the ultra high vaulted ceilings w the cool hanging lamps. Two minute walk to Grand Ole. Opry, free parking. Asked for lemon and server brought me a dish of 5 wedges but 4 of them looked pre squeezed. Kinda wierd. Also waiter talked me into adding house salad for add'l $1, but was charged $2.99, but I didn't bother correcting. Otherwise, an okay experience.
(3)Joseph F.
Double check to make sure they put down your reservation. Apparently they didn't pit down ours. Thank god they had an open table, otherwise we be waiting for 30 minutes. But that doesn't really matter when it takes over 45 minutes to get your meal. Service is ok. Waitress is nice. Overall I would recommend if you don't have any other plans after wards.
(3)Terri H.
Very large portions so come hungry or be prepared to take leftovers home. I met my husband here for lunch since he works close and I was off work. Our server was very helpful and did warn us about how big the portions were. My husband and I almost never want the same thing and we like trying different things so we just take leftovers home. I had the Jamaican jerk chicken sweet potato. That was the biggest sweet potato that I gave ever seen. It was stuffed with shredded chicken, green onions, red peppers, cilantro, papaya relish, lemon and a drizzle of honey. It was delicious. I couldn't eat it all but I tried.
(4)Jani M.
My sister brought me to this here saying that this place is really good. I loved the setup of the place. The staff was very nice and our food came quickly. I got the shrimp fresco. Was disappointed only because this place seems to think pan seared means that it is with batter on too. Wasn't expecting that but other than that it was good. Just think they should clarify their menu a bit better.

Mediocrity is the best to describe this place, they say that everything is made from scratch but I'm not buying it. The food that I had was like it came out of a truck and was all heated up. The veggie burger that I had was a Boca burger and a bun that tasted kinda like paper. The fries were kinda greasy as well. The service was kinda slow and took along time form being in the door to leaving. It is good if you want to eat something before heading to the opry show.

Went for a nice lunch because prices in the Gaylord where I stayed aren't too friendly. The service was excellent! Andrea was very friendly and attentive. She earned every cent of the tip I was happy to give her. My glass was never empty. I had the 7oz sirloin with broccoli and sweet tea. The steak was very tender and seasoned very well. Excellent! The broccoli, though, looked fairly wilted and wasn't that great. The other problem I had was that when I was asked if I might want some onions cooked with my steak, I wasn't told that the little sprinkle of caramelized onion would add $3 to my bill! I would have much rather have spent that money toward a dessert.

This is my 4th time at this Claim Jumpers. I always sit at the bar & get great service (even tho the bartender is a Buckeye fan....Go Blue). I always start with the clam chowder (delicious). Usually I get the jambalaya, but last night I got the tri-tips & it was very good. I have never been disappointed with a "Landry Select" restaurant, I just wish there were more in Michigan. I will definitely go back to claim jumpers when I'm back in Nashville at the end of January.

Food was very good. Selection is extensive with wide variety. Service was spot on. Clean restrooms. Nothing to complain about at all. Great choice for an affordable meal. If you happen to sit in the bar area and Curtis is on duty you are lucky.

Ugh! What a disappointment! We were in the area for the Grand Ole Opry tour and had a 2 hour break before the show. Overall, service was extremely poor, entree salad portions were extremely small, and we ate our entire meal with empty drink glasses. I think the fast food Mexican place would have been a less disappointing choice. This was our first time with the chain and it left a really bad taste in our mouth.

Food was good, service was ok. I ordered a ny strip and got a ribeye instead..... I asked for med rare and was given med well even though the toothpick was marked med rare. The potato cakes are now smaller and are basically deep fried balls of mashed potatoes. Not sure if I will be back.

Excellent country fried steak and a great bartender. Even though it's in a mall, it was a good place to grab a warm meal while traveling for work.

Great appetizer, spinach artichoke dip chips were good. Awful stuffed baked potato with blackened chicken. The potato was bad and the chicken was as dry as jerky.

Now where do I start? The wait staff kept getting the orders wrong. Then 30 minutes later they tell us they do not have the bone-in steak. We orders beers and it took us three times until they finally had a beer in stock. Overall, not impressed with the service. Note, my alternate steak choice was good, but the overall experience was disappointing.

Went on a Friday night. Staff was ridiculously in the weeds. Took 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar, while the bartender served everyone around us,after we ordered. Food was overpriced, but my ahi salad was delicious. The poor staff looked like deer in headlights throughout our dinner. Will not be back.

The food isn't bad, but it's not anything you can't get at any other American chain restaurant and it is overpriced. So, the one star is for the food not being bad, its just ok. I don't crave this place ever, it was just supposed to be for convenience sake since we were already at the mall and didn't want the food court. We went last night on a Monday night. We didn't think we'd have any issues getting seated since when we walked past there were several tables empty. We had our 14 month old and 4 adults. We were told it would be 10 or 15 minutes to wait. Really? Um, ok. Soooo we waited. Then the hostess seated us at a small 4 top table and expected us to put my 14 month old's and her highchair at one of the corners. Now, I am a flexible person so this would have been fine if there weren't 5 open booths in plain sight. Now, I didn't see them until we got situated or I definitely would have asked if we could be moved. Oh, we also had to wait and ask for a children's menu- the hostess never provided one. It was annoying because normally we'd order right away for my daughter, but we had to wait and wait (see below) after we finally got the menu. The service was horrible. The waitress was nice, but barely communicated with us or came to the table. We asked for bread, which is complimentary, but she gave us some jibber jabber about how they have bread, but it may not be ready. Well, we never got it. Neither did any of the tables around us. One table before us had bread on their table and we wanted to swipe it after they left since we were waiting so long for our food. My husband had to pull the waitress aside and tell her that it was okay if she brought out my daughters food first so she could start eating. We finally got our food and never saw the waitress again after that until we received our checks. I hate that. At least ask if we need refills. I needed another dressing and never got a chance to ask for it. When she gave us our checks back to sign that is when she apologized and said they were understaffed. I understand that isnt her fault, however, we all agreed it would have been nice to hear when she first greeted us and to have her say that she will do everything she could for us being understaffed. I've been a waitress before and I just feel like a little communication like that at the start makes for a better evening with your customers. It's almost like she just wanted us to feel bad and still give her a good tip. Anyway, basically we got there at 6pm and didn't leave until 7:45pm on a MONDAY night. We weren't trying to prolong our meal since my daughter's bedtime is 7:30. We really just had to wait that long for everything.

A friend and I decided to do dinner and a movie on Friday night and opted to try something different so went with Claim Jumper. I sat there for a bit observing another table being difficult due to some miscommunication. After probably five minutes, someone came by and offered to get drinks as our server was tied up with that issue. No biggy. Waters/drinks were slow to the table. Ok, still had plenty of time. Some bread was dropped at the table but we let her know we couldn't eat it so she could give it to another table. The friend (who has Celiac's) found a pasta that looked good on the gluten-free menu but was concerned that the bacon might be the same they use in all the other dishes, in which case it probably wasn't gluten-free. She made it a point to ask the server and was assured "We can't put it on the gluten-free menu unless it's totally gluten-free." The food comes out fairly quickly. My roommate had the Absolut pasta which was good. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and asked to take off the crunchy noodles and glazed pecans and substitute avocado but was told she would have to do a charge on the avocado and couldn't substitute it for anything (that's a silly rule). The tuna steak was delicious but there was hardly any avocado on there. It was the equivalent of one slice. I finish my salad pretty quickly and set it off to the side. And it sat there. And sat there. And sat there. As did an empty drink glass and empty water glasses. The waiter had stopped by quickly to check if everything came out okay shortly after the food was dropped at the table and then we didn't see her again until it was about 7:20 (the movie started at 7:30). We asked for a to-go box and the checks. She walks by the table 4 times without either of those and as far as we could see there was only one other table she was dealing with and not many in the restaurant period. She finally comes over with a to-go box but no checks and at that point we had ate enough to make it pointless to take it with. She passed by a few more times with no checks. Finally someone else notices us and asks if we're ok. We ask for the checks, he says he's going to go get the manager. Never see a manager but our server finally comes by and drops the check. We immediately put our payments in the check-holders and prop them up on the corner of the table. She walks directly by them multiple times. The other guy finally came by and noticed we had the checks and I had to ask him to run them for us. He says he can't handle the cash and walks off to get our server. Drinks were overpriced imo. They charged $2.00 for that one slice of avocado. I was finished with my food around 7:10 yet we didn't end up leaving the restaurant until 7:40 due to waiting on checks and paying. Then we get to the movie and halfway through the friend has to leave because she starts feeling severely sick and when she comes back announces that she was in severe pain and there was no way that dish was gluten-free. Doubt we'll be back

Typical chain restaurant. Very large menu. Large portions. I had the chicken fried chicken with gravy and mashed potatoes. Chicken was good, but the potatoes had very little flavor. Not really a place that you "have to try".

The only reason we came into this place was because the wait at the place we wanted to eat at was close to an hour and we were STARVING. We were seated in a reasonable amount of time, the service was adequate and the food was perfectly average. The prices and the decor would make you believe that you were in a finer dining establishment, but really it's just an over-priced chain that offers nothing to make me want to go back.

Pot pie was amazing however the rest of the table was very disappointed. Chicken BBQ salad was not great chicken was really dry, ahi salad was overlooked and very small for the price, and chicken pasta had no flavor at all. Service was great though can't knock that, menu is too large and poor quality food!

Four clam chowder returned to kitchen because cold, still only came back warm. Guess they did not want me to burn my mouth. Order a bbq burger medium. Got a well done dried burger on a dried out bun. One person sent back the coconut fried shrimp because they were over cooked. A manger did not even come to the table and apologize.

So I had left a previous negative review for this property and with a short period of time received a message asking for me to please file the same on corporate account. (I guess a company doesn't want this on a social forum). So I filed on corporate as requested. A week latter receive a phone call from a man in the "service" dept. Asking for me to go in details. He thank me promised to look into it. But for my time would send me a gift certificate for my time. I promised at that time I would thank his response upon receipt. Guess what.....no mail. "A mans word is earned, but can be lost in one action". So that is my thiughts

The calamari was great! It's cut very different from most calamari I've ordered, but it was very tender and delicious. The chicken quesdilla's are great too. I also had the spinach artichoke dip...ehhhh it's not that great, and it's pretty bland. Not sure if it was all the different cheeses or that it needed so much salt. So order with that in mind. Additionally, we had a bit of a wait for a server even though it was just 3pm but thankfully she was very nice when she did arrive. Overall I would visit again they have a nice assortment in their menu

Arrived at a half empty restaurant around 6pm and made wait 30 mins for a table on a Tuesday night. Poor management here. Food was pretty good. Tasty local beer, great carrot cake, don't plan to go back to be made to wait to sit down for no apparent reason other than their staffing problems.

We ventured into the Claim Jumper knowing that the high overhead of being located within the Opry Mills mall was only going to increase the price. We walked in and we were greeted with a cold, dirty look and snobby attitude from the hostess. We were promptly seated as not too many people must be dumb enough to eat there. We waited almost an hour for a french dip with watered down, flavorless au-jus and a BBQ hamburger completely void of any sort of bar-b-que sauce, topped with 1 paper-thin slice of raw, chewy bacon. It was 40 dollars including a modest tip for 2 sandwiches. I knew it was going to be overpriced, flavorless garbage, but I did not expect it to be *THAT* overpriced, *THAT* flavorless and such utter overpriced garbage.

Right across from the Grand Ol' Opry "Opry House" is a Claim Jumper. It's situated in the Opry Mills mall, with an entrance on the outside and on the inside of the mall. I chose the outside entrance and headed directly to the bar. I was happy to see the bar empty and a seat available right in front of a large screen TV. Perfect! I sat down and ordered a draft beer. They had a pretty good draft beer selection - about 7 I believe. They were out of one of their own beers that evening. The bartender was so chatty that she wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise to place a food order. She ran away to the other end of the empty bar to make drinks and then started washing dirty glasses. I asked her if I could order some food whenever she was free. She even admitted that she had chatted at me and didn't even ask if I wanted to eat anything. I guess that's Southern hospitality for you. I started with potato soup. Tasted like it was from a can. Probably won't get that again. I was surprised by how many items offered in Claim Jumper's in California weren't offered here. I went for a veggie stuffed baked potato - good ol' comfort food! It was delicious. It was definitely a meal too. And the fresh avocado slices on top were a nice surprise. Overall, it was a good evening here at Claim Jumper. I'd recommend it ;)

I have been to Claim Jumper on several ocassions in California years back and the food and service was very good so I was excited to hear they opened one in Nashville. We arrived at 7:45 pm on a Tuesday and were seated quickly. Our server seemed new but I cant be sure. When ordering our food we were told that they would have to check on several items because they were closing soon(WTF it's7:45 and they close at 9PM). We were told they were out of butter and they had to get more because they were closing soon We were told they were out of bread because they were closing soon We were told they would have to check on chicken pot pies because they make them ahead of time and they may be out of them since they were closing soon. When our food arrived it 3 out of 5 plates were cold and the food was just MEH Bottom line there are too many good restuarants in Nashville to get MEH food at $$ prices. Skip the Claim Jumper in Tennessee

I've never heard of this place before so I was excited to try something new. The service was very friendly and helpful. The menu was enormous and had dishes on it that are quite uncommon but turned out to be delicious. When they brought out all of our food, it was beautifully plated, hot, and delicious. I was one of five people at the table and everyone loved their food. I was also impressed with the red velvet cupcakes we had for dessert although it was difficult to pick just one dessert with all the different options. I would love to eat here again and try out some more of their interesting dishes. However, it is a 12 hour drive so probably going to be awhile before I get back.
