My review is based on dining in once. This is a great spot to grab a couple surprisingly good slices of pizza on a saturday, maybe after or before a trip to neighboring Sip or the used bookstore. The tables have those red-and-white checkered tablecloths.

The pizza here is fantastic. There is just something special about the crust - its buttery? Garlicy? I can't put my finger on it, but its wonderful. My wife and I tried it for the frist time on a Friday, and when we had guests the very next day, we ordered some more! Delivery takes an hour minimum, we're pretty sure, so we've always gone to the store to pick it up. You can dine in, as well, which isn't a bad option. We've never found the dining area to be busy and its comfortable. I believe they've got a deck/patio area for warmer days - I can see that as being a very popular option soon! The pasta and subs are great, too. Be sure to ask about their daily specials - I'm pretty sure there are different pickup and delivery specials. Oh! We've heard the wings are great, too, but haven't tried them yet. My wife and I highly recommend this place!

Had a monster stromboli here and was impressed. The dough/crust is buttery and salty and delicious, though perhaps a little too doughy for some. The ingredients were fresh-tasting, the staff were patient (I lost the ability to use words momentarily while ordering), and they have old-fashioned childrens' coloring activities while you wait.

I have been there twice. First time I ordered the beef ravioli which was super good, impressed for a pizza place, o my bad thing was they didn't give me any silverware to go. Second time, I ordered delivery and ordered the chicken alfredo pizza and buffalo medium wings. The dishes were also good! The wings I should have ordered more because I couldn't put them dowm. My only bad feedback was they didn't give me peppers, parmesean cheese, and silverware once again for my delivery :(. (so frustrating but at least the food made up for it.)

The food is OK, but be sure you don't use the online system to order! It ran my credit card twice on Jan. 30. I called about it that same evening, and they told me they would take care of it. I'm still waiting (now it's Feb. 10) for the credit to be processed. I called to day to ask about it and got the manager on the phone. He said "I'm in the middle of working, but I'll look into it later today." I suggested he go ahead and do it now, since I've been waiting since the 30th, and he said, "I'm working and can't deal with this right now." No idea if I'll be getting that money back or not, but I'm not really excited about paying $60 for $30 worth of pizza! Customer service most definitely leaves something to be desired!

Hands down our favorite pizza in Nashville! Their crust is always perfectly cooked- a tiny bit crunchy and seasoned with something yummy. Overall, they have great flavors and great specials. Since we moved to the neighborhood about 10 weeks ago, we've probably had their pizza at least 8 times. It's more of a mom and pop type shop, which we love to support! Highly recommend if you haven't tried it!

This is an above average pizza place. They don't try to be too fancy like other local joints. Just straight forward delicious pizza. There are slices at a decent price. Their pies are more expensive than the chains, but they are also much tastier. To save a little, there are daily carry-out specials. I haven't tried the subs or other offerings yet, but I look forward to it. Not much of a dining area. But if you're looking for a good pizza to eat at home on the east side, give this place a chance.

Any of the specialty pizzas are amazing! I don't know if they add crack to the crust but its amazing. For whatever reason a regular peperoni doesn't knock my socks off as much. Also I kind of want to marry the feta cheese bread, one day it will be legal!! Great delivery times and awesome prices. Best neighborhood pizza joint in town.

  • Brittany M.

Worst service I've ever had ! It's been two hours since I've placed my order and my food has yet to be delivered ! Ridiculous! I do not recommend this place to anyone You're better off waiting at a restaurant in person than waiting on a delivery from this shit hole ! All we got were sorries last night . Some communication about the back up and people answering the phones that knew what was going on would have saved the evening . A discount or a free dessert - things most placed would do if your good was over two hour late

Good pizza and calzones. The wings aren't my favorite and they are pretty slow, but the pizza is really good. Buffalo chicken pizza is good but ask for light Cajun powder, it can be overwhelming.

Best Pizza in a wide radius in Nashville! Bacon and olive pizza rocked our socks and the buffalo wings were fantastic- on the spicy side.

I ordered the feta cheese sticks (not extremely flavorful but tasty & cheesy) and a one topping personal pizza which was a great size for a personal pizza. The crust was hand tossed-not too crispy & not too thick. The price was comparable to the typical chains. This may be my go to delivery joint (but I'll have to order in advance since delivery took an hour).

Updated, from the front of the restaurant, 15 minutes after my order was supposed be ready. They still don't give a shit about doing your order right or on time. But the pizza is usually pretty good. In other words, no change except I'm not sure anything has been cleaned since my initial review a year ago.

Castrillo's is tasty, no doubt. Quick Delivery, killer carry out specials and overall really great pizza. We're a fan of their mushroom and pepperoni, or pepperoni and banana pepper. Thanks to my husband's lack of adventure when it comes to food, we stay pretty basic when ordering, but we're never disappointed.

The first thing I do when moving to a new neighborhood is find the local pizza place. Castrillo's set the standard for me since 2003, when I first moved to Inglewood. Over the years the place has gone through owner changes, experiments in dine-in, menu expansion, and ups and downs in quality and service, but I kept coming back. Their thick, chewy pan style crust is amazing and flavorful without being greasy. Toppings are fresh and generous. Their specialty pizzas (especially their BBQ Chicken Pizza) are some of the best in Nashville. And the wings....ohhhh the wings. Castrillo's hot wings are dry rubbed in hot spices and jalapenos and run through their pizza oven. Not fried. Maybe my favorite chicken wing ever. Paired with a slice of pizza, its no wonder that I have stuck it out, even when their quality dipped after it was bought out that time, or when hipster weirdos seemed to rule the roost and make ordering a chore. Many local businesses go through such times, and the food has made it worth coming back. As of my most recent experiences with Castrillo's I can say most issues have been addressed. The guys running the place are friendly and efficient. They don't work too quickly, so expect an hour for delivery, but as long as you plan ahead you should be fine. If you need it sooner than an hour, go pick it up. Good food is worth the time. Get the wings. Seriously, get the wings!

Meh. The Greek salad was an extreme disappointment considering it was 6 + dollars. It was small but more importantly, really bad. It seemed to be a random assortment of pizza toppings thrown together. It was 80% spinach, 10% feta and the rest very small amounts of onion and literally 3 small pieces of warm iceberg lettuce. My advice, do not offer something on your menu if you're not going to do it right. The small Greek pizza was pretty good but the thin crust we ordered was actually quite doughy, which we both were surprised by. Honestly, I do not plan on going back.

Castrillo's is okay, comparable to Roma Pizza. Customer service can vary wildly when you walk in. Their pizza is fine, but I prefer ordering from Italia and Five Points since they're in the same neighborhood.

I've had both their pizza and their spaghetti. Both were good. I love the crust on the pizza, it has a buttery, salty/garlic taste. The delivery is always much quicker than expected. Last time they quoted us 45 mins, and they literally had the food at our doorstep in no more than 15 minutes. We live close by and order regularly. I definitely recommend it!

Online ordering & prompt delivery! Great cheese bread! Average pizza, slightly underdone dough but tasty toppings. I prefer the pizza from Italia or steak and pizza.

Castrillo's is the neighborhood pizza joint of Riverside Village. There's no indoor seating, so it's a pick up and go or get delivery kind of place, but I love ordering from there whenever I'm visiting in East Nashville. They offer your typical pizza place toppings and pies as well as a couple more creative options. The seafood pizza is in reality as crazy as it sounds, definatly for the adventurous. I remember when I picked it up after ordering, the employee behind the counter greeted me with a 'so you're who ordered that pizza'. Not really sure if that was to him a good or bad thing but he was jovial when he said it. As good as it is, their pizza is not what makes them stand out to me. They're Feta Cheese sticks are so delicious, and the amount they give you is amazing, you could really order that instead of a pizza and be full. They offer salads, sandwiches and other pizaa shop type food but its their wings that I will recommend to anyone thinking of eating here. They are hands down the best I've had in Nashville so far. First of all they're huge, nothing like the wimpy chicken wings you get in most places. I can easily say they're twice the size of your average wing, and they cook them until they're so tender the meat falls into your mouth. They only have three flavors, but they're all so tasty you could eat them every day. The mild wings are a dry rub which is deliciously unusual and come with banana peppers sprinkled on top, the hot wings are wet and come with jalapenos and the bbq come with pineapple. I'm craving them again as I'm sitting here writing this and am contemplating driving over there right now in the cold to get some.

Tried a couple varieties of the stromboli - the supreme and sausage & mushroom - both were outstanding. But, what really stood out was the crust. It was thick, chewy, buttery, salty and garlicy - in short, it was good. This place doesn't skimp on the fillings - which were fresh and well-seasoned. The prices aren't too bad either.

I was impressed with this pizza place's selection. I stopped in for a quick bite and ordered a roast beef sandwich (that was very delicious.) The sandwich did take about 15 to 20 minutes to get out of the kitchen. Seating is non-existent in the restaurant, but there is a community patio next to Castrillo's. I am excited to try their pizza. I've only heard good things.

The service was friendly, the delivery was quick and on time, but the "food" was horrible. It would have been better for me to go to Kroger and get one of those super cheap Totinos pizzas. The food quality here is extremely sub par. I sampled a little bit of the three items I purchased and couldn't eat the rest. Kinda like melted plastic on top of cardboard. I know it's tempting. A pizza place in the middle of east Nashville that delivers, but don't do it. You will regret it forever.

Looking for something different while in the area, and while they were not simple to find (being from out of town), the GPS found them easily enough. There was a daily special, which included a large pie and some wings, which probably saved a couple of bucks compared to buying them individually. Also picked up a nice salad, and all told we stuffed ourselves crazy. Pizza, salad and wings were all quite tasty - and you will find things here (like corn) that you probably do not find many other places to put on your pizza. Only downside is that their cold pizza the next morning is not the best. Not sure exactly why, but it just didn't hold up all that well.

I recently moved in the area and needed a quick solution for dinner so I turned to Yelp and decided on Castrillo's. I order a medium pizza, I was impressed with it but the five stars come from the baked wings. I ordered them hot and they where great. I loved the jalapeños and the dry rub. There are many options for food but if you want to avoid the normal chains, which I steer away from, go online order a great pizza and wings. If you have company I promise they will be impressed.

Ugh. Just tried them again because I wanted some pasta. BIG MISTAKE. I ordered the beef lasagna & it was like a school lunch. Weird little meatballs (like the ones you find in canned spaghetti-o's), covered with cheese & stuck in a broiler, hardly a bit of sauce, & the bread sticks should have just stayed at the restaurant; awful. I also ordered a piece of cheesecake...listed as "A Cheesecake Factory product"... Definitely not. I've gotten the cheesecake they are talking about from Sam's Club, it's great! The crust was like dough, not like a cheesecake crust. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the food was delivered on time & my canned Coke was a highlight. I wish so badly there was a quality Italian delivery in East Nashville...I'll never order from here again.

I came here with my friend's wife while my buddy was busy studying. We kind of settled here after finding some other places closed but my buddy's wife did have good things to say about this place. Well, my friend enjoys it but she thought it was just okay. We settled on a large Greek pizza but I wanted something with a little more meat to it and so we got Italian sausage added in there. The pizza took about 15 minutes and we took it back to eat it. Right away the pizza was just oily-I've had greasy pizza before but this one was just was super oily. I guess it makes sense since the pizza had no sauce but was nothing but olive oil. The flavor of it was pretty good though, besides that. A lot of veggies and they didn't skimp on the sausage either. I'm eager to try their other pizza varieties like their kitchen sink or the buffalo chicken. If their ordinarily meatless pizza is tasty then I think their meat pizzas must be pretty good.

So thankful to have these guys in my neighborhood. Pizza is always great and comes out quick even on a busy Friday night. The tomato and artichoke pizza is my favorite and I always come back to it. Delicious! The guys that work the front counter are always friendly and seem genuinely interested in delivering a quality product. Places like this are what make East Nashville great!

My wife and I ordered a pizza here on a Saturday night. We got their nightly carryout special, an X-Large two topping pizza(spinach and mushrooms). We also got some cheese bread. We were so pleased with both the pizza and the cheese bread. The cheese bread had a ton of cheese on it and was very satisfying in taste and in being filling. The pizza definitely ranks at the highest tier of pizza in the area. The toppings tasted very fresh and crust of the pizza was just awesome. The amount of cheese on the pizza was perfect as well. We normally ordered routinely at another pizza joint but I think we were convinced that the extra cost here is definitely worth it. The X-large pizza lasted a few meals for this married couple.

My husband and I ordered the Sunday night special for takeout. Pizza made it home really hot which was great! The crust is like medium thick, and the reason I'm rating it 4 is that I just prefer thinner crust. But the sauce and toppings were good. Service was great!

I've gone in and ordered a couple of times and I highly recommend Castrillo's. The food has been delicious both times, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Great place to check out!

I have been using Castrillos for years and I think they have gotten under new ownership in the last 6 months and I don't like it as much... Crap, I mean I really want to, I do. I even tried again the other day and I was just underwhelmed. I don't think the sauce is all that good any more and I have gotten some soggy dough a few times. This last time the pepperoni so so over cooked it had hardened and started to shrivel. I didn't even finish one piece. So, whomever bought this business needs to call the old owners and find out their secrets and go back to the way it was because that was working for me and this is just not even close.

Just moved near Riverside Village and was so happy to have a non-chain pizza place to try. This place gets an extra star just for not being a chain. I've had both take out and delivery now and both were relatively quick (25 min for take out and 45 for delivery). What impressed me most with our delivery order was pizza and wings were actually hot when they arrived, which I can rarely say for any other pizza deliveries. I really like the pizza. It's tasty and the crust has more flavor than most. I read reviews that said it was soggy.. I haven't experienced that yet and I'm really anal about getting soggy pizza. Both the thin and hand tossed I've had seemed to be cooked exactly the right amount of time. Have had the kitchen sink which I can see the appeal in, but I personally just don't like a ton of meat on my pizza. Was a lot happier with the Greek tonight which left me feeling satisfied but not overly full. The hot wings are different from the usual drenched in buffalo sauce. Although I like the saucy kind, I think these guys are smart for serving them a different style as delivered wings usually mean soggy wings. The hot wings are peppery and served with jalapeños. Not the best wings I've ever had, but by far the best delivered wings I've had. They do offer other styles as well as buffalo. Would order them again. The salad is fine. Again, not spectacular by any means but better than the chain options. Service is friendly, food is good, and it's in my 'hood. Can't complain much about that!

We decided to try Castrillo's one rainy late evening when we both agreed we did not feel like cooking dinner! Fresh pizza from a local place conveniently near our neighborhood was an obvious solution. I was elated to find that I had a coupon in my City Savers book we purchase every year from my Daughter's PTO, the frugal Mom in me was even more willing to try this place out when according to the coupon, we would receive a free medium pizza with any purchase! We walked in, ordered our pie(s) and sat down to wait. It was about 20 minutes tops. We ordered a Kitchen Sink, and also the free medium cheese pizza. Our total was about $20 - what a steal right? The service was friendly, and prompt. We felt good about being close to home and giving our business to a local place with quality we were sure would top the chain places. Castrillo's did not disappoint. The cheese wasn't greasy, the crust was baked perfectly, the toppings tasted fresh. We were pleased with our pizzas and have definitely added this to our list of local spots. I am happy to have discovered another small business in Riverside Village worth visiting on the regular! The only down side is this is strictly a pick up and go or delivery place, they do not have seating for an eat-in option but if you are like us, this is close to home anyway! *a note for my vegan and veggie friends, I did notice a veggie friendly pizza on the menu however I do not know if they offer vegan options.

As a huge fan of Italia Pizza due to their vegan cheese and gluten-free crust offerings, I haven't ordered any pizza from Castrillo's due to this. However, due to my mischief and affection for Malbec the previous evening, Castrillo's was now an option due to their delivery service. It should also be notated that I only live 2 blocks away. I was not going to peel myself off the couch today! I was stoked to find out that they were able to accommodate my vegan requests by serving up spaghetti with marinara sauce, "dry" breadsticks, and a salad sans cheese. The food was filling and hit the spot and was delivered in under 45 minutes. I am curious to try the vegetarian sandwich but am bummed that pizza doesn't appear to be in my near future. Service was friendly, fast, and the daily specials offered on the website are enticing.Their prices are quite reasonable! I was leaning towards 4 stars but would like to try a few other items on the menu before I can commit to that. Hopefully, some vegan cheese will be on their menu soon? I will definitely order up from Castrillo's again...let's hope that I can actually have the energy to do carryout next time?

Located in Riverside Village, Castrillo's offers a different variety on pizza than other local options (non-chain). We ordered two pizzas that were fresh and hot when delivered. One was the Kitchen Sink and the other the Jordan's. They were perfect except for leaving off the basil pesto that we had ordered to be added to the Jordan. Mistakes in a restaurant are easy to fix, but those related to delivery aren't. Having regularly ordered from another pizza place in East Nashville regularly, this will make me second guess my choices. Back to the za; good stuff! The pizzas here are always cooked to near perfection. I feel the baking time should be increased to another minute or so because the crust isn't quite stiff enough to hold up under the weight of the toppings. For this, we toss them in the oven at home for another few minutes to tighten them up. Also, the crust is more on the softer side. You can eat the crust without a back of beverage and also is sweet and savory. They do make a good pie. The ingredients are top shelf and the sauce has a every so slight sweetness that makes eating that one extra piece more than you should, a must. The delivery times here are short. Usually 5-9. So, be sure to take that into account. Badda bing!

You've gotta love a place whose official name is "Castrillo's Pizza and Stuff." Seriously. Castrillo's recently closed their pretty sizable dining area, which is a shame, because now your only options are carryout and delivery. The pizza is delicious; it outshines any chain delivery joint in the area, and they are remarkably cheap. They also offer some subs and pastas, and I'm a pretty big fan of their meatball sandwiches...nice and sloppy. The staff is sometimes a bit ornery, but it's best not to take that personally. They make your pizza quickly and well--I've never had a sub-par dinner there. So while Castrillo's used to be the perfect place for dining in over a couple of pies with some friends, now you'll just have to settle for taking it home with you. That's not too bad, because the toppings are plentiful and something about that crust is addictive. I enjoy supporting a local family-run joint, and while their pizza is great, their "stuff" is where it's at.

Castrillo's used to be one of my favorite pizza joints. However, the last few times I've ordered from there, it's been about average, and my order hasn't been completely correct either. I always order the same thing, and I expect it to be consistent. A few weeks ago, I ordered my usual for delivery, however when I ordered "extra cheese", that must have been translated to "very little cheese". There was so little cheese that I actually had to go to the grocery store and pick up a bag of shredded pizza cheese to add. Then last week my usual thin crust pizza I that I picked up turned out to be regular crust, which I don't like at all. After I got home and realized the error, I called and politely mentioned it to the employee and he said "oh yeah, sorry about that - I remember you said thin crust". I was surprised that he didn't at the very least offer a couple of bucks off my next order. With some of the other really good pizza options in East Nashville, I'd think they'd want to keep their regular long-time customers satisfied, but maybe not.

YUMMY! This is the best Pizza in East Nashville, perhaps all of Nashville! I can order just about any of their pizzas and not like one of them. I am a huge pepperoni pizza fan and theirs is awesome! I also like their BBQ Chicken with Pineapple pizza. :) Not sure if it is on the menu, but I love to order it! My one and only issue is if you are starving you better go pick it up! If you know you are having a party or a group over in an hour or two go ahead and order early. They have improved greatly over the years, but you still have to wait an hour for a pizza, even on an off night. I have waited nearly 2 hours before, but you forget all about the wait when it arrives!

Castrillos is really goodl. The pizza sauce is super yummy and the whole menu is packed with awesome specialty pizzas. They make good brownies too that are always on the counter when I come in so of course i get them. The delivery guys are always quick and the people who work there are always very nice and extra helpful. I am really happy they are at Riverside Village

Castrillos was a friendly and quick pizza option. The pizza crust is the best part and they load their pizza with cheese. My only complaint is that the toppings were scarce. But besides that it was, overall, a great pizza with great service! Much better than the chain pizza joints on the NE side of town.

Well, I was sucked in by some favorable reviews, too bad. I have lived in this hood for about 7 years, and want so badly to have a local pizza place I love, but alas this is not it. I am from St. Louis where even the average bar pizza beats anything in the area in my opinion, so it may just be that nothing will do it for me, I am aware of an accept this possibility, and you may feel my bias cannot yield an objective review. All that being said, I just tried it again after about a 3 year layoff and am definitely underwhelmed. The crust is the thing in my opinion, and whether you like thick or thin, that part has to be right. So, have you ever had thin crust that was soggy and chewy and kind of burned on the bottom and thought, wow, this is really great? Doubt it, such was my experience tonight. I won't be back, I really want it to be otherwise, I am all about the neighborhood businesses, but I can't recommend this to anyone. Sorry guys.

If you live within the delivery area for Castrillo's you have no excuse to order from anywhere else. It's delicious and local; what more could you want? Delivery is always prompt, and I've never received the wrong order which is more than I can say for any of the chain pizza places in the area. Make sure you add a side of the feta cheese sticks to your next order. They toss big chunks of feta over the melted cheese blend for a tasty twist on an old classic. I have yet to try the stromboli, but be sure it will be my next order from Castrillo's.

as all pizza lovers know, the first thing you need to find when you move to a new city is a good pizza place that delivers. i think we lucked out that castrillo's happened to be the closest neighborhood place, and the nine months since, it has remained a great choice. now, i know the new yorkers will say, as one reviewer did here, that the crust is too thick, and it's too cheesy. whatever. pizza is one of those things, sort of like human beings, that comes in many shapes and sizes, and they all have the potential to be beautiful and marvelous if you just let them be what they are instead of trying to force them to conform to some preconceived notion. so don't expect it to be like whatever your other favorite pizza is, and try to judge it on its own. (i learned this when i had zachary's chicago-style pizza in berkeley -- i couldn't appreciate it until i decided not to think of it as pizza at all, then i realized how amazing it is). ok, castrillo's. let's start with the crust. oh, the crust. it has never failed me, never been burnt, and never been underdone. it's fluffy and a little bit sweet, and light in your mouth, and unlike my favorite pizza in san francisco, where i never ever ate the crust, i can savor this to the last bite. the crust is awesome. and the toppings have been great in every version i've tried my usual is pesto pizza, with onions and feta cheese. it's truly perfect. when i'm in a meat mood, sausage and pepperoni, both of which are high quality meats (bad pizza sausage, which is used in lots of chains, is not edible -- but good pizza sausage can make your day). the hawaiian was great too, and i tried one that had bacon and banana peppers on it, which was interesting. and yes, they're all cheesy, so if you don't like a lot of cheese on your pizza, tell them to go easy with it. but really, i can't imagine the argument against cheesiness. and the bread sticks are fantastic, they must be made from that magical crust dough -- and the feta cheese sticks?? oh. my. god. they are so good it's amazing that you can get something like that for five bucks, though with pizza, it's a bit of bread overkill, so you might want to get a side salad to go with them and make a meal of just that. (the side salad was totally edible, if ordinary, but eating salad makes me feel just that much less guilty about eating too much pizza). oh, and they also take their magical bread and make cinnamon bread sticks, which they deliver with a little tub of that sugary topping that makes cinnamon rolls so good. for under five bucks for something like eight of them, you can save them for breakfast. heat 'em up, put on the icing and yum. and if you need dessert, they even have new york cheesecake from the cheesecake factory if you want, and reese's peanut butter cheesecake, but i'd suggest the homemade brownies. yes, delivery can take up to an hour, but ji just plan ahead. it's worth the wait.

We've ordered carryout a couple of times from here- they have good daily specials and lots of yummy toppings to choose from. The thin and regular crusts are delicious, the sauce tastes very fresh and not sugary like some chains. I ran into one instance where they're phones just kept going to voicemail on a Sunday, but we finally got them.

Solid pizza, but I haven't been blown away by it yet. The crust alone deserves 4 stars though. The cheese sticks are pretty fantastic, but I could've used more dipping sauce.

DO NOT ORDER PIZZA FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL PIZZA JOINT! Tonight was the last time we will ever EVER order form here. The customer service SUCKS! We support our local businesses and tonight was the last straw. We ALWAYS ask for our pizza to be sliced and tonight was the 4th time it has come to us cut in squares. We called to ask for our next pizza to be discounted and Jessica the manager got hateful with me, told me it is our problem because we order thin crust, then hung up on me. When I called back she hung up on me again. This is ridiculous!!! I am a business owner too and if I treated my clients like this I would be broke! I am NEVER ordering from here again. I suggest using Papa Johns or Little Caesars over this RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL establishment! We will be talking to Jacob the owner on Sunday; since the manager blurted out this COMMAND out before slamming the phone down in my ear!!!! My husband took the pizza back and was refunded the money for the pizza but was told that the tip we gave our delivery driver WOULD NOT be refunded!!!! What kind of BULL is this?! I am offended and shocked by the way we were treated. All of this after waiting for an hour and ten minutes for our pizza!

We will NEVER use this business again! EXTREMELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! We have had our order messed up the LAST 3 TIMES we have used them. We like to support local companies instead of chains, but their customer service could take a few training seminars from their competitors. We always ask for our pizza to be cut in slices. A simple request. And it comes to us cut in squares. We called to ask for a discount on our next pizza. Jessica, the manager on duty, was EXTREMELY RUDE and told us it was OUR fault because we ordered it as thin crust. She then HUNG UP the phone. When I called back she HUNG UP AGAIN! So my husband took the pizza in to get our money back. When he walked in she was abrupt and would only refund the money for the pizza, NOT THE TIP! She also proceeded to laugh at him on his way out of their establishment. She should be demoted or better yet FIRED. I would NOT want her representing my business. We will be stopping in on this coming Sunday to speak to the owner, Jacob. Once again, I would NOT suggest using this company.

The BBQ Chicken Pizza will change your life! I've ordered from Castrillo's over 5 times and I haven't ordered anything but this pizza, can't get past it. I do wish they had the option of an eat-in area. The delivery is usually around 35-45 minutes but it's worth the wait for this yummy pizza!

I'm going to give Castrillo's two stars because it was underwhelming to me. But it was not bad. I stopped in for a slice because it's really the only place that I've seen that offers slices. Having moved here from NYC about 8 months ago my eyes lit up at the prospect of getting a slice! Well, it was a bit disappointing to find out that they only serve slices between the hours of 11am-1pm. ??? Weird. So finally, I remember the time properly and was able to stop in for a slice. At first glance - eww...the slice of cheese pizza looks like a big pillow. (strike 1. Slices should be on thin crust and not oooozing with cheese. That's just not necessary). Then I take a bite and I am pleasantly surprised that the sauce is actually pretty good. So, I'm thinking I would entertain the idea of possibly ordering a pie for delivery one day and make sure that I ask for thin crust, light on the cheese. I really just don't understand why people think it's necessary to pile on the cheese. That is just not what makes a good pizza slice. It's all about having the perfect balance between sauce and cheese and perfectly baked, of course...we shall see how round 2 goes. Whenever that may be.

We got a Flamethrower and it was pretty good! We love spicy food and this didn't disappoint - however, the one thing I didn't like about it was the dousing of the pizza in cayenne pepper - it made it way salty and almost too spicy, if there is such a thing for a dish called "Flamethrower" - it was totally like gilding the lilly at that point. It's hot and delectable enough without the added salty-hotness of the cayenne/other spice blend. I'll request it without next time - but overall, it was a great take out and the guys were really friendly.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
